Abb and Deancey, you're lucky! Things are only just starting to get back to normal as far as our "routine" is concerned, however we have needles today, so that'll probably screw everything up some more. Oh, and DP is home this week, so that's messing things up no end!! He just doesn't get it... *sigh*
We'll get back to 5-6 hours sleep some time next year maybe?! That's considered sleeping thru to some people...
DS is also making lots of word-noises now. He always has, but it's definitely something he's practising now. He's always making kissy goldfish faces too, with a funny "pah-pah" noise. He's also going "a-da.. a-da" so maybe he's trying to say his own name?? close, but not quite. There's lots of other stuff he says but I couldn't spell it!
Bec - I hope Cameron's going ok. Congratulations on his first tooth!! It's horrible to see babies coughing as there's nothing much you can do for them. Vapouriser and panadol... however Brauer do a Cough & cold relief that might help.
Sassy - Wow, you are soooo busy! Hope all the parties are fun!
LMK - good luck with everything until the teeth come up! Hope you get 2 at once, just to minimise the stress. It's so tiring, especially when you end up sleeping in a chair! Been there, done that...
Mis - do you have bruises from Stanky kicking you? I have. Kid's a monster, I tell ya!
Jess - we're not alone... every one of the mums at my playgroup is having the same rough deal with crap sleep right now. It's all these develpmental milestones that are just too much for bubba's mind to process all at once. Has to be something like that... right? It will get better. As for Jordan's little snack-attacks, that's soooo cheeky! Pantry locks, for sure!
OK, I have to go... needles now. Blah.

Afternoon Mumas,
well last night we went to see the some chrissy lights... A friend of DP's went to alot of effort and his house looks amazing... We got home at 11 and i fed DD and she slept til 4.20 fed and then i woke up at 9 paniced cos the alarm didnt go off for speech therapy so i had to wake them up and go... Every time they sleep in i have to get up and go somewhere... Speech went well and DS behaved.
DD is getting round so much now... SHes still doing the comando crawl and gets frustrated when she's on all 4s and cant go far... I have some pics i'll add to my FB of her trying to crawl... she grabs hold to what ever she can and pulls her body along...
Our neighbours got broken into yesterday while i was at home... i feel aweful i heard nothing except a smal sound from their alarm... It was like they didnt put their pin in quick enough... well that was when someone broke in it turned out.. They tampered with the alarm. Apparently their alarm was playing up The night i had the knock on the door was the same night they had alarm issues... so i take it they were sussing out our house too... I'm terrified now.... Our alarm is an old one so were looking into getting it upgraded. I want a sensor in the garage so i can zone the house off... SO if they get in there its armed... i cant believe someone broke in to the front door in full daylight smashed in the door and no one seen or heard... I mean i had the house locked up cos it was so hot i had the air on a bit and some music playing to get DD to sleep... but it was only in the arvo... after i heard the alarm... its the 2nd time in 6 months for their house...
NaNa- i'd like 5 hours sleeping... lately were getting max 3 hours at a time. and 45min- 1 1/2 hours to resettle again. I have spoken to DS about his late night snacking... he says he gets hungry and thursty... I have told him were puting locks on if he keeps it up... i'm trying to accomodate his choice of foods to get him to eat more at meal times instead of snacking...
Deancey- Lian sounds like a gem...
Abb- YAY on the sleeping... I wish.. Were stil on 1 x 1/2 jar in the morning and a ful jar at night (well i'm mashing up my own stuff at night most times now) Oh i did buy some of the Rafferty's garden sachets today... something different... I think i got tuna and veges or something... DD is really into different tastes now... she loves helping herself... i tried her on some sticks/wedges of veges the other night... carrots, sweet potatoe, zucchine, i also gave her some cucumber, avoccado, apple (slighty cooked) for lunch today... she loves being able to hold stuff and feed herself. Also on the crawling... not sure if DD will be before chrissy but it wont be long... its so amazing to watch as DS never crawled... He sat very quickly i think it was 6 months and was standing at 7 1/2 months and walking round furniture by 8 1/2months and taking steps unassisted (walking) by 10 months.
Sass- I'm not allowed to call it a chewy sack anymore... LOL DP has a dirty mind... didnt want his princess chewing/eating on asack.... now i call it her chewy net... lol.... i'm buying a sassy brand one next you can buy new nets for them and they have a lid... i have the Tommy tippee one...
Mis- i do the same with pureed peard and apple... put them with the farex or the baby custard powder.
Bec- Good luck with the doc... DD is doing this cough thing but apparently its a milestone also... apparently babies of 6 months start to do a cough to get attention... i never knew that... I have some brauers cough mix i used when DD was few weeks old it worked great...
Nikki- YAY on the chrisco.. Its awesome... We all love it... unpacking everything... Cant wait for mine... its like an early christmas...
BTW~ any one wanting to do chrisco... let me know i'm an agent... i have tonnes off books or i can get one shipped out to you..,. Highly recommend it...
Well best be off... Need to keep the kids amused while DP sleeps...
-
those that rnt giving pureed food do u get scared they will choke. i want to give jayda stuff but i am too freaked out. i guess they haev to learn some time how to eat things.
-
Sass - they need to learn the reflex of swallowing and choking, and after what happen with hamish a month or so ago i am sh!# scared of him choking. I dont puree but most of the time i just mash lightly, i give him sticks of cooked veg and fruit also but i watch him closely and are ready to get out any large chunks if he is struggling to chew etc. My mum gave him an arrowroot biscuit today and i to be honest i wasnt very happy but he ate it really well (just didnt want him to have anything sweet yet). As long as you are watching them carefully she should be ok.
-
I was worried But NaNa made me feel confident... Thanks.... :D I watch her carefully and i dont strap her down incase we have an incident and i need to tip her upside down quickly. but she usually spits out the big chunks anyway... she loves chewing on cold cucumber slices... She pokes her fingers inside the centre and hold it like a ring... lol
Well i finally got little miss to sleep... after 20 mins of screaming... I'm off to bed...
-
i think i might try her over the weekend with some finger food.
other food i give her if it isnt competly sloppy she gags on it but i guess she will have to learn.
OMG we had the biggest spew last night. she done like 3 power spews within about 5 to 10 sec of each other. she had about 220mls and 2.5hrs b4 that a whole jar of food (is normal) she feel asleep then woke up and the bottle in her mouth must of scared ehr or somethign she jumped and the teat hit too far back on her tongue. it was one of those things were u dont kwno wat to clean first. i was completly covers from my neck down, the lounge was covers the floor and jayda.
DH is so annoyign i could see it was abotu to happen cause she was stickin her tounge out funny i was liek get me a cloth so he was slow as anythign then bam it went everywhere. he has no sense of ergency.
i feel like crap this morning. we went to be at 930 and i couldnt get to sleep all ngiht i had this weird feelign liek jayda had the blanket over her head or she was too hot or something so i was up checkign on her like 100000 times.
i have the office coming today for a visit. DH has been a bloody lazy ass latly and hasnt mowed it looks horrible.

\Hi ladies
Well Abbies teeth are still not through but they must of stopped becasue she has been sleeping really good again.
Just a quick question for Jess when did you get Tihana'a ears pierced? I was looking at your new photo's on fb and saw them, i really want to get them done but i am really scared did she cry long? did you get them done with the gun? Sorry for all the questions.
Sassy about the finger food i remember with the boys i was scared as well but once i gave it to them and just kept an eye on them it was fine. But i am still scared about giving them the abbie as well but i will probably give it a go on the school holidays.
Also going to toilet train lachlan on the school holidays atleast i know that i can be home all day and not have to worry about having to go in the car and putting a nappy back on him.
Hi to eveyone else and hope that eveyone is well gotta go and take these kids to school. Take care
Nikki

Jess - that's so freaky about your neighbours being robbed while you were at home! That's messed up and scary. I hope you're ok, and you get your security system sorted and whatever it takes to make you feel a bit more secure at home.
Sassy - I'm mainly giving DS finger food just for him to play with. He doesn't really eat much of it, but that's not the intention. He will realise soon enough that these new toys taste interesting, and when he has the ability to bite and mash up the food himself it will all come pretty naturally. That's the idea, anyway. I still sometimes give him some mashed fruit or veg, and plop a spoonful on the tray of the highchair with his fingerfood so he can mess around with the different textures. He really enjoys playing with it and he gets some of it in his mouth for a taste even if I can't get the spoon near him, and it means we have more of a routine with food, bath (VERY necessary!), massage, BF and a story before bed.
As you have recently experienced, Jayda has amazing gag reflexes. I'm so sorry you got power-chucked on!! It's AWFUL! But at least you know if she puts something in her mouth too far and hits the wrong part of the palate, it's going to come out. And if you're watching her, you'll know if she's having difficulty, and a quick, sharp pat on the back will be enough usually to dislodge anything that's caught in her throat. Good luck with it! And with the visit today.
Well, needles went ok yesterday. DP came with us, and I made him hold DS while he had them done, just so he could experience some of what we've gone thru twice already. DP turned white, and got all flustered when DS started wailing. Even the nurse freaked out a bit. But everything's better with BB, and he dropped off to sleep within minutes. We'd had to keep him awake for an hour beforehand, so he was pretty wiped out. He was a bit irritable and sooky all afternoon and evening, but it seems he's now back to his old routine almost. He slept well from about 10pm (but cried every now and then before that), and even tho I had to change him twice at 3.30 coz he had the runs, he went back to sleep and woke up at 7:05 just like he always used to! An hour and a half later and he's back asleep. I hope it keeps up, as the last week or so has been shiat. DP's exhausted from having to play with Aadi for an hour or so in the mornings this week, just so I could get a bit of extra zzz and try and fight this cold that's been bugging me. Poor fella... ha!
Oh, and deancey, Santa's not bringing me anything, let alone sleep. I've been too naughty!! :D
ETA: Nikki, I type too slow... that's great that Abbie's sleeping better again. The teeth can come up and down, or so I've been told. Good luck with the toilet training for Lachlan. Good idea to do it when you're going to be at home all the time, less stressful. I'm already reading about EC and TT. A bit early maybe, and I love the MCN, but it's gotta happen sooner or later!
-
Hi All,
Jess - how scary bout your neighbours being robbed. I remember many years ago, one of my neighbours was robbed - it was at night though and I thought I'd heard something outside, I looked out the window couldn't see anything so went back to sleep, not thinking anymore of it especially as they had a rottweiler (even though it was more of a gentle giant - would lick you to death before it bit). Felt a little guilty and freaked the next day when we found out. How's Tiahna with the cucumber afterwards? I'm a little hesitant on giving Cameron cucumber, as it seems to upset my tummy.
NaNa - Glad Aadi's needles went well. We are doing ours on Saturday (as long as Cameron's ok for it), did it this way so DH could hold him- I'm a sook, got a bit light headed myself before last needles. Anyway I'm going to be having my own needle, decided to get that whooping cough booster. Yay on only the 1 wake up, even it was a messy one.
Sassy - Yeah I've been a little nervous giving the finger food too, but might also give it a go next week. With Cameron's cough he seems to get a bit of a tickle and if it's after he's eaten or drank - he sometimes seems a bit choaked when he is throwing up, so don't think it's a good idea while he's not well. We've also had some messy chucks, like yesterday after his carrot - i wasn't sure where to start, clean Cameron, hi chair, floor, me??? Wasn't it hot last night and even worse I think today. I don't have any blankets or sheets in Cameron's cot, only the fitted sheet on the mattress. I found he'd move around his cot too much and was also scared of him covering his head with it. On cooler nights I was wrapping him, but I think those nights might be over now.
Abb - Good on Hamish for being a good sleeper. Cameron's good too most of the time. Think it was his tooth for the last few weeks minor wake ups.
Deancey - I work at the CBA, have been with them for 9 years as of this week. I'm customer service, but would like to go back as a teller (so much less stress, apparently there selling targets are a lot easier now). How's Liam when you wake him up at that 10-11pm feed? We had being doing a wake up feed about 8-8.30, I felt so guilty as Cameron is usually sound asleep and a little grumpy to begin with. For the last few days though I haven't been doing that wake up feed.
Mis - Did Stanky agree with the early night? Hope you's are well.
Nikki - Goodluck with the toilet training. At this stage that seems so far away for us, but will be here before we know it. Let us know of any tips that work for you's.
Well we are doing ok. Went to Dr's about Cameron's cough, but he really didn't do much but charge us $40 (so far our other dr visits with Cameron were bulk billed, but thankfully with the medicare rebate it only ended up costing $1.25). I really wanted something to ease his coughing, especially at 4am where it seems to really irritate him and lasts about 30-45mins. Will look into the Brauers stuff today, thanks.
Had another busy day yesterday, with Cameron and my mum, almost finished xmas and birthday shopping (got a couple of family birthdays coming up too). Only 1 more to get, but couldn't do it yesterday as it is for my mum. I've never been this organised in my life. I love not working, seem to get so much more done. I've even started to collect things for peoples birthday's next year.
We have started to cut down Cameron's feeds to 4 a day, as hadn't really done it consistently the other week. But I've been doing a morning and afternoon solid, and spacing the bf's out to 4 hourly (previously 3 hours) which he seems to get the same amount of milk, as my supply is much better at 4hours and he drains both sides (previously the 2 and 4th feed where rather small feeds).
I'm a little jealous of all your little chatterbox's. Cameron seemed to be saying hello about 2 months ago, then 'b' words 3-4weeks ago, but doesn't seem to be saying these or anything else at this stage. He does seem to make 'm' and 'n' sounds though, so mum and nan are probably on the way, but I haven't heard him say any 'd' sounds, so I don't think he'd say dad first at this stage. On other development front - think his 2nd tooth is on it's way already. Also I think he may be crawling by christmas. Since the weekend he started doing push ups onto his hands and toes, and Monday he started revving. This morning he did a little one knee crawl in his cot, then face planted, so I don't think it'll be long. I think I'd rather he talked first though, as not looking forward to chasing him around the house. Better do the child proofing this weekend.
Well better go get ready. Cameron's due to wake soon too.
Bye for now,
-
LMK: good luck with the toilet training
Nana: glad needles went well. i always make jayda appts on fridays, well its the only day i have off but DH has it off too and i make him hold jayda. i had to do it by myself for the 4month needles and i was nearly crying too. i have been getting my cerival cancer needles as jayda gets hers so i go out in sympathy with her lol.
bec:i dont usually put a blanket in either i usually dress her to suit the weather but last ngiht was one of those too hot for a long suit but her legs seem to be a bit cold. i only left it in there for like a hr then took it out. it is just that early mornings seem to get pretty cold here.
i am going to the doc next fri, i have been stressed otu at work and my hair is falling out like crazy. i didnt loose any when i was preg or even just after jayda but in the last 2 weeks since i have been in a bad mood i am down to liek half my hair it is freakin me out cause i am so used ot my hair being so thick. been gettin headaches and cant sleep. oh and DH loves how moody i have been. keep getting up and down but mostly feel like crying alot. i thought it maybe PND but it seems more like stress to me.
I have told the twins mother that after christmas i am not starting b4 8 because 7am starts r so crazy tryin to get jayda ready and myself. DH keeps telling me to get up earlier. I am not gettin up at 5 to be ready for them just because they dont wanna be around their kids.
-
Sass- some of the food i give tiahna is like mashed a bit so it has chinks... At first she would gag as she wasnt sure about the chunky bits... She goes well but sometimes she'll get a chunk and gag a bit... if your worried just stick with the chew net... she'll still get alot of the good stuff through that... also i found its helped DD learn the chewing type reflex... now when i spoon feed her she trys to chew not just suck it off her tongue...
We had a power spew lastnight and this morning... in fact we have lots of spews lately... reflux is playing up more now cos DD is more on her tummy...
Nikki- hopefully the teeth will come up soon... also with the ear piercing i got them done at a Angel Beauty... They do piercings waxing and nails... they used the gun... a few places round here suggested 12 months old for the gun and wanted to use the pin but the place up the road said they could use the gun but only 1 side at a time... she cried more from the shock of the noise of the gun... i just gave her my keys to play with and she stopped then they did the second side... she cried more the second one... (just like the injections) she had a bit of a cry say 10 mins then later on she had a bit of a little sob but she was fine... They healed alot quicker then mine and she hasnt touched them still... I'm so glad i got them done when i did... The gun is quick but the bang of the gun is what scared her more... Also good luck with the TT.... I'm having issues with DS again... wetting the bed... % nights in a row now... i just dont know whats wrong... its getting frustrating... i've cut down the drinks after 3pm.. i make him go before hand but once he's asleep he just wont wake up to go... i might have to start waking him up when i get up with DD.... Last night he got up and turned on the chrissy lights ate a pack of chips DP brought home from work (later found out he's wet the bed and came out to sleep on the lounge) he then woke up after wetting the lounge... GRRRRRR not happy ...
NaNa- i'm ok... was scared last night but once i fell asleep i was ok... i'm more cranky that i didnt hear anything. and worried that there not scared to break in during the day,. as for the solids DD caught on quick that the finger food tasted yummy... might have to try giving her some on the highchair table to play with (pureed stuff that is)...Glad the needles went well... glad ours are done with..
Bec- DD doesnt reall eat the cucumber... its more like a teething ring then anything.. she pushes her finger through it to hold it and just chomps... I did however find out why she was so hard to get to sleep... I gave her the Rafferty's Garden Tuna, rice and vege sachet thingy... OMG it went straight through her... I think her reflux was playing up... i was up changing sheets last night after she threw it up all through the cot and then 3 this morning she pooped the rest out... she loved eating it but yeah i dont think i'll be giving it to her again in a hurry... Also DD does the push ups too... On her toes... lol... Today however its up on all 4s then she just drops on her face... OUCH... DP freaked when i had a shower and she ended up heading towards the front door... and she's saying Mumma... YAY before it was more Mmmmmm Also does it cost much to get the whooping cough booster??? was considering getting it for DP and myself tooo... anything to prevent it in the house.
Sass- I have my last gardisil on dec 28th... finally... Also with all us sooky mums... i'm getting better... WIth DS i used to leave the room while the GP did it and he'd tell me to come back in... i'd be full on crying... lol Also on the hair situation... alapecia (spl) is common when stressed... i get it alot... had it bad during the pregnancy and shortly after when i'm stressed it starts comming out in clumps and my hair is already so thin..... i get bald patches... i use the T-gel shampoo works well... you can also get this stuff from the chemist... forget the name... Speak with your GP though... I have few stress related things dermatitis and phsorisis... Not good... I have a PND check up soon... (my GP does these stress tests and questionair things to check me for PND symptoms with my stress levels...)
Well best be off... Hope i got everyone... not much about me at the mo... get chrisco tomoz.... YAY and also DP's work party in the evening... hope DD is behaved...

Hi ladies
Sassy you need to do what is right for you and your family and if the parents of these kids you look after don't like it then they can find someone else, and i am sure you won't have any trouble finding new kids to look after. I might sound a bit harsh sorry but i really do believe that my family comes first and if i need time off or something my kids parents are really good and i think that your kids parents should be understanding too. If you need to chat about that i am here for you.
Sassy and jess about the gardisil i just had my last one about 2 weeks ago and oh my goodness it was the worst one yet, don't mean to scare you jess just prepare you ouch:hide:
Jess yeah i really want to get her ears pierced BUT i want her to get it done by the needle not the gun but i can't find anyone who does it. Also i am running out of time becasue i think that she needs to get it done now so she does not play with them. Don't know what to do:dunno:
Bec don't worry abbie is not saying anything either i have been encouraging her to say mum mum mum for ages and still NOTHING. Oh well they are all different it will happen soon enough.
Nana gald that aldi's needles went ok abbie is having hers tomorrow i am sure she will be ok as long as they don't put band aid's on as she had a reaction to them the first time.
Hi to everyone else again talk soon
Nikki
-
LMK and Jess: my first needle didnt bother me. the 2nd my arm hurt and i coudlnt lift anything, i had to do some shopping and lifting the bags into the car hurt. i am not looking forward to the last one now lol. i actually went to have it last week as i was told that it would fit in perfect with jaydas needles but i was aparently too early it had to be 84 days later and i was only 70
LMK: i have a lot of problems with the families i have. twins go to skool next yr so that will get rid of one big prob so from next yr i am being very strict and not letting people walk all over me. i have one that always complains about paying and plays the poor card when they r on a combined of 89K a yr and we r only on 49K.
-
LMK- I found the Tattoo and piercing places were more towards the needle then the gun... I have never seen the needle used so i went with the gun but would go needle next time... Try a tattoo place... There very sterile and i would ask over the phone what they suggest... i rang about 10 places in the area... Personally like i said i'm so glad i got it done early... She still hasnt touched them and isnt even aware they are there. And also i think i said her's healed alot quicker then mine... The gun was a shock... From my experience... which is why i did mine at the same time... The thing is though its over and done with the crying stopped within 10 mins after the 2nd one and after the 1/2 hour process she was happily laughing again... Good luck... let me know how you go...
Ouchy... now i'm worried bout my gardisil... the 1st 2 have been ok as far as needles are concerned just a bit achey ... lets hop the next one isnt too bad... I have bad needle phobia... am aawaiting my sample of that emla cream....
Sass- They say you shouldnt lift anything after an injection?? maybe thats why it was sore??? good luck with your last one... I hate when people plead poor when there WAY better off then others... It just irritates me... us at the moment... were hanging out for this money from the government so i can buy chrissy presents... i have NOTHING yet... i just havent had the money to get anything... I have bills comming out my ears add that with mortgage payments, car loan, arrggggghhh its a nitemare... but we'll get through... Thank god for chrisco... i wont have to worry bout food... I say be strong and stand your ground...
-
argh, all this talk of needles is giving me the creeps! I had 5 at once for this stupid holiday to Africa and we're not even going now. booooo.... and I was s'posed to get an emla sample too but got an email saying they'd had too much response and I missed out! Oh well, it's all done for now. Aadi's not getting any piercing any time soon!
right, NaNa, go to bed. It's late and the kid's going to be awake again soon... went to sleep at 6.30! weird.
-
nana:how did aadi sleep last night after going to sleep at 630.
jess: when i got my needles done they asked wat hand i used the most because apprently with these ones ur ment o keep moving it so i dont know lol. just hope it isnt too bad.
well i had a useless day today. DH and i both have fridays off and have jayda at daycare so we can go shopping or the movies with out having to worry about her. but the last few weeks we have had appts coming out our ears so this fri was the first for awhile that we didnt but DH forgot to tell me he made plans with friends so i spent the whole day at SIL's listening to her dramas lol. but i did get a hair cut today i feel sooooooooooooooooo much better after it.
-
sassy - good on you for doing something for yourself! Even if it was spoiled by having to waste the rest of the day listening to dramas. Blahhh...
Actually, surprisingly DS slept really well last night! Not compared to most kids, I'm sure, but it was good by our standards! He woke up at 10, which is when I would have given him a dream feed and tried to do a stealth-change if he'd still been asleep! I changed him and he had a feed and went off to sleep but as soon as his head hits the cot he wakes up. He just wants to be ON me all the time at the moment. I put him next to me on the bed and he was out like a light. Slept till 3.30, fed, and slept again till 7! Stoked! Today I went out to catch up with some friends and DP had left the pram in the boot of the car and taken the car this morning, so I had to haul bubba in the sling. It was soooo hot! But DS slept sitting up, and was really well behaved all day. He laughs at EVERYONE! He was sleeping when I got home but woke up when I tried to put him down. Stayed awake all afternoon then, and finally went to sleep for 2 hours at 5.30. On my lap. I just stayed put and had an extended cuddle in front of the fan. He's gone to bed late tonight, but if that means he sleeps in tomorrow morning that's great.
I've booked an appt at the Dr on monday tho, as DS has these weird reddish marks all over his legs. It's not a rash, really, and it doesn't seem to bother him or hurt, but it looks wrong. Kind of like broken capillaries or spider veins. Strange.
How's everyone else??
-
Morning Mummas...
Yesterday was a busy day... I had the alarm bloke come out to test our system with all the breakins... Fixed it up but will be back later on to add more sensors for us... also a front door sensor so i can arm it while i'm home and if someone comes through it without turning off the alarm it goes off... Makes me feel batter while i'm here with the kids or sleeping while DP is at work... Also got my Chrisco also... YAY its like an early christmas.
We also had DP's work party at this beautiful little Italian resturant... Lascala... The food was Fab and DD was SOOOO well behaved... I was so proud of her... She was singing and smiling at everyone... And the best thing EVERYONE commented how good she was... i could not have asked for a better behaved bubs... I didnt have a drink cos i wasnt sure when DD would want a feed yet but still it was a good night... DD stayed awake the whole time well about 1/2 hour before we left she fell asleep in my arms... Woke up at 11 when we got home fed both sides and went to bed... and spet til 6.30 this morning... YAY... Just gone back to sleep again now...
Sass- bet you feel so much better after a hair cut... i need one badly... maybe after chrissy when i have more time.
NaNa- yay on the sleep... I could only wish for that every night... that rash thing sound weird... DD had like a spider vein pop up on her cheek few days ago but its gone again now... hope all is ok...
Hope everyone is having a good weekend...
-
Hi All,
Just a quick one from me, as it is sooo hot here today I just can't be bothered. Might go for a swim. DH has just gone to look at ceiling fans to put in our bedrooms, it's 34degrees in Cameron's room. If it's this hot now, don't want to think about how hot it'll be by January and February.
Glad everyone seems to have had some good night sleeps, Yay. Even Cameron didn't wake at 4am like he had been all week with his coughing. I bought that Brauer's cough medicine, but when I got home and read it, it says for children under 2 consult health carer - did I get the wrong one?
We went to do our needles today, wasn't sure if Cameron was going to or not, as his temp seemed ok during the week, but at the Dr's when we 1st got there it was 37.7, then after 30mins waiting for the dr, it went down to 37, so because it's a little up and down, thought best to leave it a week or two. Had my whooping cough booster though, so it wasn't a wasted trip, it is a little achy now, kinda like a tetanus. We got Cameron weighed and measured while we waited though - he is now 7.33kg and 65.5cm long.
Well think I can here Cameron stirring, might see about having a swim (at least it's overcast so the sun's not burning as much), or might just have a cool bath.
Bye for now
-
Bec - you can give the Brauer's to Cameron. There's nothing harmful or synthetic in it, it's all homeopathic. We rang Brauer and checked because it's the same thing with the Stomach Calm formula. Just give him a slightly smaller dose than it says on the box. Wow, Aadi is like 9kg now... he must be the solid one out of this group. Weird. DP and I aren't big people.
It's been hot down here too, but it never lasts long. My mum's going shopping for an inflatable pool or something for when we come up to visit soon as it's stinkin' hot up on the Sunshine Coast too... all I can say is at least DS sleeps well when it's hot. I don't know how, but he seems to prefer it!
Jess - that's so great that you had such a good night out and DD was so well behaved! Lucky you! My mothers group has organised a dinner this week without the bubs, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to do that... DP said I should go and just leave a bottle of EBM and everything'll be ok, but I'm still doubtful.
DS is still waking up at 5.30ish and wanting to wrestle and play for an hour or more, but when he finally relented today he went back to sleep for 3 hours. Have to get him out of that habit, but he just wont resettle at that time... it's going to be tough when DP goes back to work next week and can't take over in the mornings for me anymore. Ah well.
-
Hi all... well we had a FANTASTIC night last night... DD didnt go to bed til 10 but when she finally slept she didnt wake til 6am...:leap: WOO HOO... I was so proud of her... I'm hoping its a good sign that the sleeping might settle down... (i can only hope right) Today i met up with a friend at westfields... She was so well behaved in the pram... sharted getting grumpy when she wanted a feed then one onther time after she had pooped... but again i couldnt have asked for a better bubs... she's great when were out... i might have to start going out more often... She just had a 3 hour sleep and i woke her up so she will sleep tonight (hopefully)
She now has grumpy periods when she wants her solid feeds now... if we miss breakfast one she is crying for one come lunch... also dinner time she really looks forward to a solid feed... She's getting so good with moving... and has been so happily singing but is still very sooky when i put her down and she doesnt want to... she'll just scream... am trying hard to snap her out of that and just putting up with the crying...
Bec - i phoned the brauers hotline about the cough stuff... they said to give 1 ml instead of 2... so thats what i used for DD... Also Cam seems to be round the size of DD... She was only 6,97 at her 6 month check... so i'd say she'd be about the size of Cam or close to it... Also we have the cieling fans in the rooms also... they help give some relief with the sticky heat. i find if i use the AC in the lounge and put the fans on it sucks the cold air into the bedrooms also... `
NaNa- Julliette (sarah H's Bub) was 9 kgs at her 6 month check... i read it on her FB,.... Which is why i was worried bout DD being under 7... i think all bubs grow different... wait till he's on the move he'll slim down... (my DS was like that... big as a bubs now he's skinny and tall) With your night out... maybe a solid feed would get DS through the feed??? i am begining to think that i could do that now with DD... We have a similar issue at the 3-4am wake up... DD thinks its play time... if DP wouldnt talk to her in the bed she's probably get the hint that its still sleep time... lol
Well hope everyone else had a good weekend...

Hi ladies
Just a quick one from me today as its school holidays and i have kids arriving any minute.
Glad to hear jess that your xmas party went well tihana must be like abbie we have taken her to two weddings and she was perfect slept the entire night with one and the other she partied one and was so happy.
Abbie got her first tooth on saturday YEAH:dance:they have been sitting there for so long its about time it came down.
She had her needles on firday and was totally fine, she weighs 7.6 kgs which is great, one question her head circ is on the top line for her age so in the 97% range, the doctor made a comment that hopefully she evens out by next time she gets measured, what does this mean? I don't think she looks like she has a big head actually not at all. Well i think i might take her to the clinic and see what they think.
Nana Abbie wakes up between 5 and 6 as well but i can't complain she sleeps all night.
Although a sleep in every few days or even once a week would be lovely!
Bec i am feeling you with this heat, we are lucky though we have A/C, we have not been going swimming till the afternoon whenits cooled down as the sun is too hot we would get burned to a crisp.
Sassy glad you feel better after a hair cut i really need one too, its one of those things i just never get around to. oh well i will get there
Have agreat day talk soon
Nikki
-
Nikki- :leap: YAY Abbie... Thats great about her 1st tooth...
With the HC... Do what was the measurement??? i wouldnt worry about it... maybe her head has grown more then her body for this section of the growth spurt... Not sure... I think if it were a BIG problem that the doctor would have discussed it a bit more... I have seen pics and Abbie is gorgeous and now way would i say she has a big head... She looks perfect... try not to stress...
IKWUM about the heat... it has been anywhere from 28-34 degrees round here lately... it rains for a short time just to make it all muggy and sticky.. YUK....
Well our sleeping through was short lived as usual... DD was asleep at 8 woke at 1 for a feed, took til 2.30 to go back to sleep then woke at 4 and again at 8.30
-
Hey Jess
Thanks for your kind words, her Head circ was 45cm and i have asked a few people and they also don't think that she has a big head. I think that she has had a growth spurt.
About the sleep thing atleast you know that she can sleep well and hopefully she will go back to that for you.
Take care
Nikki
-
omg sat it was sooooooooooooooooo hot. our house is like a bloddy sauna. we put the fans on and it was just making it worse.
we took jayda for a swima nd she is goign so well she loves it so much.
not much else to write. had a full on weekend.
-
Nikki- DD's head was 42... so its not that much bigger... and Abbie is a bit older then my DD... Try not to stress out hun... damn doctors make mums worry more then they heed too... Abbie is gorgeous... her eyes are just beautiful... (my DS has similar kind of eyes...) what was her height??/ DD was 6.97 kg, height was 65.3cm... so Abbie is not much bigger... (mind you dd was checked few days before she was 6 months so i guess she'd be bout that sizr too now... ) Tell that doc to either explain is concerns of shut it... lol... Worrying you like that...
Sass- i know that the fans seem to push the hot air round sometimes but at night it is nice to have some ind of breeze on you... even if it is hot... lol
-
Jess abbie weighed 7.6kg, he did not measure her length. I am not overally worried just will go and get her checked at the clinic anyway. Also abbie was 6 1/2 months when i took her, also i looked on the net and it says that for 6 months anything up to 46cm is normal.
Nikki
-
Hi All,
Nikki - I heard that if they jump up 2 percentiles they refer you to a specialists. Couple of the girls from mothers group found this also at the 6months check ups. They went to specialist who so far has said theres nothing to worry about (probably another way of getting a few extra $$$ from us ). Cameron's head circumference was 43.5cm, and I noticed he has jumped from the 25th pecentile to between 25-50, so it seems like they have a little growth spurt at this stage (his weight and length were still in the 25 percentile). I'm sure there is nothing to be concerned with.
Jess - Yeah, that's why I wanted the fans in the bedroom. We have air con in the lounge, and it faces down the hall, so with most of the doors closed, the air con travels right to the required room, it just needs to be circulated when it's there. Glad Tiahna likes her shopping, Cameron's likes his shopping too, rarely grumbles. It's funny though, he seems to get bored in Kmart and Big W though, as he usually makes sighing noices and falls asleep in those stores but always wakes in toy stores  (that could be costly later on)
NaNa - Are you going to the Sunshine Coast for xmas? Where abouts are they? Eww on the 5.30 wake ups, just a little too early :o. Cameron's also woken about that time over the last few weeks on and off, anywhere between 4 -5am. It's much harder to resettle I think cause the sun being almost up (wish we had daylight savings). Occassionally I've just let him do his little cry for a min, then usually find it dwindles to a little moan within 30seconds, then he seems to go back to sleep for an hour or so (doesn't work all the time though).
Sassy - Yeah, sometimes the fan just pushes the hot air down. I must check the setting though, as I know we had it on the winter setting the other week  . Did you get the storm a little later that night though (it hit ours about 7pm, then came back at 4am - scared the crap out of me with the crack of lightning outside my window). Glad Jayda enjoyed her swim, makes it a little easier to cool her down if she loves the water.
Well we didn't get up to too much over the weekend. Went to the shops yesterday as Mum insisted I buy a new outfit for my xmas party this coming Friday and wanted to buy it for me for xmas. Looking forward to wearing it, been a while since I bought nice clothes (besides maternity ones).
We had the inlaws over last night, as MIL in going to Europe for 5weeks as of Saturday. They were suppose to be here at 5ish (though my original plan was for lunchtime) but by the time they arrived at 6, I was giving Cameron a bath then getting him ready for bed. I'd invited them over so MIL could spend some time with Cameron as she had made comments that he doesn't know her. But when she comes back to Australia 4 weeks later she is off to live in China for a couple of years again (teaching English). It frustrates me that she makes those comments then doesn't seem to be so worried when she makes plans to live overseas (which she only told us a couple of weeks ago). How does she think Cameron will get to know her if she's in another country :wall:. Sorry for my little rant. There's heaps more they frustrate me with, but I feel better now, so I won't bore you.
Well, off to make something for dinner - I have no idea what I'm going to make - any ideas. Last week I was so interested in cooking, this week I really can't be bothered (but I will).
Bye for now
-
I'm still around... just having a difficult week. Yeah, and it's only Tuesday!! Have to take DS for blood tests tomorrow to find out about the spots on his legs. Not looking forward to that. He's been throwing the biggest tantrums lately, it's disgusting! I hate to think how I'm going to handle the terrible two's! Anyways, I'm late for playgroup as usual, so I'll be back later. Hope you're all having a nice day!
-
OK, I'm back... where's everyone else today?? hmmm...
so, yeah, sleep deprivation is no fun. I've just ordered a book that's been recommended to me, and maybe next year I'll have the time to read it! Haha! I don't know why DS has been so crazy the last week or so, but it's exhausting. Having DP home more often has certainly mixed things up, tho. Yesterday I thought everything was getting back to normal, but then last night he woke up screaming at midnight, and today we had tantrums and screaming, no sleep between 7 and 2, and then only a couple of short naps till bedtime at 7.30 (making it earlier so I can go out! selfish mama...). But the thing is he's been waking up crying, or crying in his sleep even. I can't work out why, and he's never really done this before. Growing pains? Every 10 minutes or so for the first hour after he goes to sleep, he needs to be resettled or turned onto his side again because he's crying out in his sleep or rubbing his eyes like he's waking up. I've started giving him regular "meals" of fruit, vegies and porridge two-three times a day, but it's taken me until this morning to get him to actually eat enough to enjoy it and want more. I'm wearing a lot of it...
Ah, but he's too cute. This morning he was rolling around on the bed just after waking up, and he crawled over to DP's pillow and patted it, looked straight at me and said clearly, "ou est Papa?" (where's Papa?). I couldn't believe it. DP still doesn't believe me.
Anyway, we're bracing ourselves for blood tests tomorrow. Blahhhhh.... not happy.
Bec - yeah, I grew up on the Sunshine Coast (shh dont tell anyone!), all over really, but mostly around Mudjimba (huh? where??). But my mum's just moved out to the Noosa hinterland, so we'll be going up there. Gonna get my lily-white moon-tanned butt into the sun again - eeeek! I wish DS would just cry a little and then trail off if he has to cry, but no... he starts out suddenly and builds up intensity, and the longer I leave him the harder it is to get him to stop. Shame about your MIL... that's a bit selfish IMO. Not just the moving-overseas biz, but just turning up late. Is Cameron their first grandchild? I know it's hard to get inside their heads and know why they say these things then act so completely opposite! I'd suggest something to cook for dinner but it's probably a bit late now... I used to do that for a living once upon a time. Culinary consultancy :) Bet a new outfit makes you feel good! Would your mum take me shopping too??
Nikki - Congrats on the tooth! And don't stress, Abbie's normal and gorgeous! DS has always had a big boofhead, but it was only really noticeable just before he had a big growth spurt at 4 months, but now his body is really starting to catch up. A friend of mine made it really obvious to me. She has a son born the day after DS, her and her partner are big, tall, athletic people but their DS is tiny and petite compared to Aadi. I went to visit one day and she said (very loud) "Whoa that kids got a big head!" and I freaked just a bit! By comparison, it looked massive! Last check DS's head was 45cm, but he's been in the 75-90th percentile from the start. Your Dr probably had his finger under the tape measure or something...
Jess - that's great that Tiahna's so well-behaved when you're out! It's amazing how sweet they are when in public, but nobody will believe that when you're at home they're capable of being little terrors! And well done on the sleep too! Here's hoping it keeps up. I meant to say a while back, congratulations on making it to 6 months BF! I know that's a big deal, and you've worked hard at it. Have you set yourself another goal? Or just taking it as it comes?
Oh geez I'm falling asleep here... I'll come back tomorrow after the Drs and finish up. Sorry to everyone I missed. Nothing personal! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Hi ladies
Nana sorry to hear about your sleepless nights, i hope that aadi sleeps a bit for you today and better tonight. I hope that all goes well with the blood test today i will be thinking of you.
Thank you everyone for your support with abbies head well i think that i will still take her to the clinic on friday just to see waht they say, i am not really stressing about it i will just wait and see what she says.
Hi to everyone else gotta run so much to do today its cody's last day of kindy and i am really sad cause that means that he is in prep soon!! Also he has made so many friends and i am sad for him as i don't think he realises.
Have a great day

Well finally BB is working... I tried a few times but no luck...
Things have been wacko again... DD is an Angel while out but a nitemare at home...
NaNa- we've had the crying in her sleep, screaming and all that stuff for the last few days... She was rubbing her ears so i thought maybe sore ears or more teething on the way... i never thought of growing pains... sleeping has also been all over the place... no morning sleeps but so tired come 2-3 that i have to put her in teh cot and she cries herself to sleep. i feel aweful but she just fights it all day...Good luck tomoz with the bloods... Poor bubba...
Today we has speeck therapy with DS and she was great but when were home she wont play she wont sit, sleep, shes feeding ok but just wants to get held... well more like hugged...
She's just woken up again so best be off... WIll be back later forthe rest of the personals... Sorry
-
Hey, what's been going on with BB today? Teething again?
Blood tests went ok, but I got some emla first and put it on both arms just in case. It was really hard to hold DS and watch the nurse put the needle in his arm, and make sure he didn't kick the other nurse who was holding his arms! Now just have to wait for the results, which is difficult. The spots have almost completely gone now, but I need to know what's causing them.
Jess - Aadi's been much the same lately, just wants to be held. He's still happy enough most of the time and is fine when we're out, but just isn't in the mood to play or do anything much. He crawls over to me and puts his head down on my feet and cries. It's so sad! He's been crying in his sleep a lot tonight already. He also chucked up a bit, which he hasn't done in ages. Yuk. I should be used to it by now, but it just grossed me out! He's drooling lots again, and his cheeks are red. He's also pulling and scratching at his ears too, so I think it's teething again. It never ends...
Yesterday I got a copy of the case study from the student midwife who followed me thru my pregnancy. Wow, it was full-on to read thru all the notes she took from all my hospital appointments, chilbirth education classes, right thru from 14 weeks to after the birth. She was lovely, and would make a great midwife. She said we were the best case study ever, which was really nice!
I really should be asleep now... will try again tomorrow.
-
Well finally i got on to BB last night but i was too tired so i read Jess's post and went to bed. Atleast its fixed now!!!
Jess and nana i know what you mean abbie has been really clinging too at the moment if she see's me walking around the house and she is not on my hips she looks at me and whinges but if the boys distract her she is fine. So i think that they have just got to the age were they are aware now and know what they want and know how to get it. :wall: Very frustrating but i don't always give in but sometimes i do its a hard one.
nana i am gald that aadi's needle went well yesterday, hopefully the tests show you something usefull. I bet it would have been really interesting reading that case study something to look back on which is great.
Well cody had his last day of kindy yesterday and its kind of sad cause now i know that he is in big school next year, sad but exciting at the same time, my baby is growing up!!!
Its hot here already today:doh:
Abbie is still sleeping the best she sleeps all night in her cot and we don't hear from her till the morning, which was 5:15 this morning but had a bottle and is back in bed, although i wish i could say the same for lachlan he is an early riser 6am for him.
Oh well whats sleep i think that i do better when i get up early though gives me a head start. Before i had kids i would easly sleep in till 10am every morning when i could.
Well i hope that everyone has a great day and talk to you soon.
ps been quiet in here lately, and i have been really good posting nearly everyday:dance: which is good for me lol !!!
Have a great day
Nikki

well its good to see i wasnt the only one having probs gettin on here. my comps been playing up so i thought it was that.
jayda is sooky at the mo too pulling/scratching ears.
we r still gettin good sleep at night down by 9 and then up at 6 to 630. she is fighting her day sleeps real bad the last week and loves it when the kids r asleep to just yell and the only way to shut her up is to rock her but i cant do that for 2 hrs.
She is looking so big latly.
well i found out wat my bday suprise is and i dont liek it lol. i dont know if i should say anythign to DH or not. he just doesnt think. he has organised to go out on our friends house boat with them. so the first prob is i am scared of deep water lol. and 2nd prob i was hoping for a little hanky panky seens we havnt had much alone time for awhile but seens there will be other people a meter away that isnt gonna happen.
he made a comment the other night that if i find out wat he has planned that he is never doign anythign again cause i always find out and wreck it.
nana: that would suck gettint he blood test. did he keep still woudl be hard to take blood froma baby it is bad enough when they get their needles that move so much.
-
Well last night went ok... Took a while to get the kids to bed... DD didnt sleep much during the day so only got to bed at 9.30 (usually she's whinging for bed at 7) DS on the other hand had a day sleep and was still wide awake at 10.40 when i had enough and needed sleep so i just made him lay with me til he fell asleep... killed my back carrying him in there... OMG he's like 23 kgs but feels like 50 when he's asleep.
So i finally climb back into bed at 11 and DD wakes up... i put the dummy back in flip her on her back and cover her up... YAY she went back to sleep. But only to wake up at 12 so i fed her and tried to keep her awake long enough for a decent feed... i find night times she has few sucks and falls asleep. so she had a full feed and back to sleep. she woke up at 3 and i put the dummy in and fliped her and covered her again... Had to do that 3 times in a row but YAY she got the hint and went to sleep. and guess what...... Didnt wake til 9am OMG i was shocked. DP said she had a little cry at about 5 but must have gone back to sleep quickly... so YAY... :leap: she's woken up so happy and i finally have my porn star boobs back... lol havent been full like this for ages... She had a feed and is playing happily on the mat... what a change a good sleep makes... i'm hoping she stays this happy most of the day... its raining and i need to get some things done...
NaNa- Glad th needles went well... i thought the post was done yesterday... Do you think the emla worked??? Thats awesome bout the case study... nice little keep sake for you. DD also crawls over to my feet and puts her head on them and cries... :( she's not crawling on all 4s yet but does this weird army crawl effectivebut so funny to watch... she looks like... hmmm cross between a fish out of water and a frog but only uses one leg at a time to move up... lol
LMK_- Awweee big school... as much as i say i cant wait for DS to go to big school i know i'll be sad and probably have a cry... its such a big step... i have to look into DS going to day care more days i think so the adjustment isnt too much for him. If i walk away from DD she screams.... its like she thinks i'm going to leave her... its so sad but i just cant be with her all day... DP got the *****s the other day cos the house was a bit untidy and the next day he saw what she was like and commented to me about fixing her so she stops crying... When i explained and showed him he was like " you cant do anything if she's like that" .... Dah... i know thats why nothing was done... lol...
nikki & dan... so jealous of your fantastic sleepers...
Dan- hard decision to make... maybe go with the flow or maybe say to DH.. hope my b'day pressie is plenty of DTD... he might think... hmmm maybe i should change the plans????
-
hi again he he he
sassy sorry to hear about your birthday plans, maybe try and organise for someone to have DD over night so you both can have a romantic night together, or even during the day if yournot fussy he he. It is a tough one cause you don't really want ot spoil the suprise, although its your birthday just try and enjoy yourself. Good to hear that jayda is sleeping well too, abbie sleeps from about 7pm till about 5:30-6. But like jayda she does not sleep well during the day, i think its mostly my fault too cause i am usually in and out of the house going to school, kindy, kindy, school so she can't really get a proper sleep pattern during the day. I too have to sit here and rock her in her bouncer and unless its really quiet she won't stay asleep. Oh well i am just happy that she sleeps better at night.
Jess cody was a horrible sleeper at night he would wake up every 3-4 hours everynight until he was about one years old, which is when i stopped BF, i am not saying that thats why but i know that all he wanted when he woke up was a little suck and back to sleep. I have no idea how to stop it i just kept doing it but i only had him then. So with Lachlan and abbie i always gave them a bottle of formula before bed and they both are great sleepers. I am definitly no saying don't bf or anything and i think its great that you are still bf and i wish i was too, but i think thats why my babies are good sleepers. Some people give babies a bottle of water when they wake up rather then giving them milk because this is not what they want so they stop waking up for it. Worth a try i suppose and sorry if i offended you but i do know how youfeel.
Hope everyone is well talk soon
nikki

Nikki, did you scare everyone else away?? It's great to have you back more often! Has Abbie started getting another tooth yet? DS had a temp last night and was crying in pain, toxic poo again (TMI) and has been super-clingy-velcro-baby for a few days now, and this morning there's a white bump on his top gums. Poor kid, he's copped a lot this week!
Wow, this is the start of another big adventure for you and Cody - big school! How exciting! I hope there's some of his friends going to the same school with him next year. It would be nice for him to maintain some of his friendships from kindy, having a familiar face or someone to play with on that first big day at least!
It would be great to be able to get DS to sleep better, and I have heard offering water instead of a feed can help, but I know the problem I've had (and Jess too) is that bubs wont take a bottle. It's not for lack of trying. There have been moments when I'd consider trying horse tranquilizers...
Sassy - hmmm... how to avoid a disappointment like that?? Unfortunately you can't be subtle with men (they just dont GET it!), and diplomacy rarely works either... um, it was your birthday on Tuesday, wasn't it?? HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY!! Good luck talking your way out of it, and here's hoping you get the naughty weekend you hoped for! Who knows, maybe he's got a real surprise for you and the houseboat thing is just a cover?? Stranger things have happened!
Yeah, it was a bit awful getting blood tests. DS was ok at first, then when the nurse started poking around looking for a vein with her fingers he started getting upset, then when the second nurse came in he started crying. The second nurse held his arm, and I had to hold his other arm and legs coz he kicks so much, and I was freaking out about him bouncing around with a BIG needle in his arm! But I think the Emla helped because he didn't scream like when he has vaccinations, and I know for sure blood tests are ouchy too.
Jess - hooray for boobies!! hope today goes well with the sleeping patterns for you! Feels so good to sleep more than 5 minutes, hey? Well, it feels like 5 minutes, doesn't it? I'm hanging out for my book to arrive, but last night was actually pretty good after the initial hour or two of interruptions, crying, Teething Relief and eventually panadol! Asleep from 9 to 2:45, a feed and then sleep again till 6:15. This morning he had an hour and a half nap from 8:30, and then OMG scoffed a whole bowl of porridge and wanted more! No silly games, just mouth open wide waiting for the spoon! Amazing... and another nap straight after.
OK, I've babbled enough for today... hope you're all well.

Hi All,
Just a quick one, as Cameron has been asleep for 3hrs now, and I need to go wake him soon. He too hasn't been to good at sleeping the last couple of days. Monday was perfect, but Tuesday and yesterday he woke at 5.50am (exactly), we played til about 6.30 when he fed, was back in bed about 7.30ish, but only slept just over 1 hr (usually 1.5 or 2 in the mornings). But then after that he barely slept during the day, couple of 20mins naps, but nowhere near long enough to actually be classed as sleep. He has also woken screaming the last few nights, about 3.30am, and has taken a while to get him to relax and go back to sleep. This morning though he woke at 5, and wouldn't go back down (thankfully after I fed him, mum looked after him, while I had a little more sleep). He eventually went down again at 8am, for 40mins, then woke screaming again, wouldn't go back to sleep so I ended up giving him some apple then a bf and he fell asleep while burping about 11.
I think it's this bother of this 2nd tooth. I can see it pushing up through the skin, but it's not cut through yet - it looks painful. Keep rubbing some curash teething gel, which seems to help after a while. What's the teething relief some of you's are using? Is it worth looking at getting some?
Well I popped back to a child care centre yesterday to hand back enrolment forms, and it couldn't have been better timed. The 3 staff members were sitting there organising the next years roster, and had our name in there hands. She remembered me (helps that my cousins son goes there) and said we have a 99.9% chance of getting in there, WOOHOO! I said I was so hoping I could get him in there, as I have found it one of the best centres I'd looked at. They'll let me know by the end of the week. We won't actually need the child care til Thursdays and Fridays as of May, but I've decided to put him in for Thursdays as of Feb or March - to get him use to being away in slowly and kinda have my spot as if worst came to worst my mum could look after him Fridays, it's just Thursdays I definitely need.
Question - with introducing of foods, I had been waiting the 3 days to introduce new things (only fruit and vegies at this stage) - do you's all wait the 3 days? Sometimes when I've done new vegies for dinner I think about giving it to Cameron to try, but as usually I'd only introduced a new food the day before I don't.
Cameron also is very close to crawling. He does one knee forward then stops. Or he'll go one knee then get his feet kinda trip him. I think he'll be crawling by christmas day, possibly even by next week. He is soo determined to do it, you can see it in his face.
Well I can here Cameron talking (that's good, as I really hate waking him).
Bye for now

Hi Girls
Well i haven't been on for a few days, its been chaotic around here so no time really and yesterday i tried but think BB was down. Anyhoo i have had a busy week organising Secondary school for Maddi, with orientation day, meetings, unifroms, books, graduation night oh it has been exhausting. Poor little man has been dragged everywhere but has been very well behaved when out and just a little monster at home. He is really a big handlefull to get too sleep during the day now, sleeps great at night usually 8.30 to 6.30 but during the day he like to power nap and i want my good day sleeper back. The house looks like a pigsty as i dont seem to get a chance to do anything during the day, hamish has become very clingy and all i here is mummm mumm mummm kinda wish he never learnt the word sometimes, no only kidding. It is very frustrating to go from a two hour sleep morning and afternoon to 30 min here and there, although i am hoping it is just his teeth and soon it will sort itself out. fingers crossed anyway. I know i probably shouldn't whinge as a few of you are still not getting much sleep at night sorry. Hamish got his first tooth yesterday and the other one is poking its way up also, the top o ne look not too far away either. He gets pretty kranky and savage with his hands in his month alot lately, poor little mite you gotta feel sorry for them. Dont understand why we are not born with them, would be alot easier. lol
Ok i better go get some housework done before work. Have a christmas party tomorrow night and mum is looking after kids at her place for the night, cant wait for the break ohhhhhh it will be fabulous. lol
