klee  don't be sorry, this is the place to come for a shoulder to lean on when you need to! I'm glad to hear that Jo is happier now and I know he wasn't upset because of you. He loves his mummy very much!
Beck - glad to hear the operation went well. I hope you have speedy recovery.
Lulu - how's Elena going on the food now? So far Josh has had rice cereal, butternut pumpkin, sweet potato and today tried normal potato. So far, so good and I'm counting myself lucky this aspect of feeding is going well unlike the BF.
Josh has caught my cold :( poor little bubba is all blocked up and snuffly and has a loose cough. He's a little trooper though and hasn't been grumpy about it at all. I've been keeping a close eye on him as I'm paranoid he'll have trouble breathing or something.
Gotta run, he's just woken up, lunch time!
ETA: Just took Joshua to the doctors and he apparently has a mild case of croup. Have to keep an eye on him and we are going back Wednesday morning for another check.
-
Klee I agree with all the other girls. This is the place where you can talk about how you feel openly without judgment. Thats what we are here for. Sorry If it was my post that made you feel like you shouldnt have posted here but glad to here Jo is happier now.
-
Klee, dont be sorry at all, like the others have said this is a place to come and let out anything u have on ur chest!
its my little girls 2nd birthday today :( cant believe how fast she has grown!! shes having lots of fun with her presents!
Beck - glad the operation went well.
Laranna- poor Joshua :( hope hes better soon
we are going well here, im coping alot better now things are going good! looking forward to the weekend for DD birthday party!
sorry cant finish all personals gotta run, hope everyone is well
-
laranna - how is josh? can they do anything for croup, i hope the little spunk is feeling better, please let us know how he is.
blanche - hope emelia had a wonderful birthday.
bec - hope you've recovered well.
lulu - thanks for your advice, i wasn't aware of your angels, I'm so sorry.
jodi - nina still annoying emily? is emily moving around everywhere now?
kristale - no need to apologise it was nothing you nor any of the other girls said, it was a realisation i made on my own.
thanks ladies for all your support, looking back on last week I think it may have been a developmental stage on top of missing his dad, which had him unsettled, as he's a lot happier this week and has decided he can roll and move everywhere, if he sees something he wants he rolls and gets it, he's also determined to get crawling as he's doing a lot more pushing on his feet, he just needs to co-ordinate both arms and legs to get up. we have also organised to get his hearing checked as I notice he doesn't babble all too much, nor does he react much to his name (not sure if thats got to do with the fact that everyone calls him something different), the mhcn wasn't too concerned but she is sending us just in case, he also got weighed today, didn't put much on in last two months but is 8kg, woohoo now he can go forwards in the car. sorry to bore everyone. how are all your bubs going?
-
Klee - glad to hear things are better this week. Sounds like Jo will be moving around before you know it!
Joshua is getting better. We've been at the docs 3 times this week, she just wanted to keep checking him out just to be sure (she's a new GP and I've found her to be terrific so far, doesn't brush you off, is truly interested). We went this morning and she was happy that he is now over the worst of it. On Wednesday, she was saying it was mild bronchiolitis.
The nights are the worst, he was waking again as his nose is all blocked and I was up for an hour and a half at a time trying to resettle him. Last night was the first night he slept through as normal, although he was snorting is head off trying to breathe through a blocked nose so I still didn't get much sleep!
Sooo tired and we have a busy weekend, an engagement party tonight, my family do tomorrow, friends 30th tomorrow night and inlaws Sunday arvo..phew, makes me exhausted just thinking about it.
I took Josh to the physio on Monday and she was happy with everything and thinks that he probably took longer than normal to lift his head and push up because he was underweight for awhile there, but now he has caught up and is back on track. Even though he has been sick this week, he has started to roll from back to tummy heaps! Then gets frustrated because he can't roll back...hehe,won't be long now I'm guessing!
I hope everyone is well and have a brilliant weekend girls!
-
hellllllllloooo *echo*!!! where have we all gone!!
DD had a lovely birthday party and got even more spoilt!!
Jack is crawling now has been since wednesday and hes getting around everywhere, its so funny cos he follows his big sis and by the time he gets to her she runs away but he just turns around and follows her!!! DD isnt liking him crawling that much as she doesnt like him touching her new toys!!!
Laranna - hope Joshua is better now, and WTG Josh on rolling!!!
-
Hi there everyone. It has been very quiet in here.
Blanche - yay for a good birthday for your DD. Great news that Jack is crawling. I know what you mean about big sister getting annoyed. Izzy normally loves Ellie crawling around after her, but lately she's really spat it while she's been building towers with her blocks - Ellie comes up and knocks them down and Iz is NOT happy!
Laranna - how's Josh going? Getting a lot better by now I hope.
We've put our Christmas tree up now and the girls are shrieking with delight every time they see it. We've had to put it in the theatre room (where DH and I go at night when the girls are in bed) so they "visit' it during the day. Its a shame they're so rough with it because they really do love looking at it and stroking the branches. Elena is standing on her own for a couple of seconds at a time now and is taking one or two steps. She is going so fast. I want her to slow down but she seems so determined! Otherwise, we're still not progressing with solids. She has improved in that at least she is taking things into her mouth now but she is gagging on everything so I'm leaving her for another few days before trying again. Funny to think that Izzy was eating so much by this point! Just goes to show how different they all are.
Anyway, better go and get Izzy's dinner organised.
-
I'm here :D
blanche - WTG Jack on crawling!!
laranna - so sorry to hear Josh has had croup, poor thing. Hopefully it won't hang around much longer.
lulu - Nina didn't start solids till 7.5 months, and Emily started at 5 months! Just keep offering it every now and then, when she's ready she'll start.
klee - great to hear Joey is better this week. And a little woohoo on reaching 8kg!
As for us, well I don't think it'll be long until Emily is off and running (well crawling, lol). She can get up on hands and knees, and hands and feet. She's so interested in what Nina is doing, and just wants to run after her.
Nina keeps sharing her food with her  The other day Nina had a happy meal from maccas, and was sharing the chips with Emily! At least she's sharing
The fights have already started between the girls with the toys. Emily is only allowed the ones that Nina doesn't want, but Emily wants the ones that Nina wants! :wall:
I'm supposed to be taking her to get her needles this Friday, but I doubled book, and supposed to be getting my hair done (which of course is much more important than needles, lol). So it'll probably end up being next week. I'm interested in knowing what Emily weighs, as she's in size 0 clothing now. She's a chubba bubba alright.
-
Blanche & Lulu - OMG at the crawling and walking! wow! that happened quick. I am sure now you'll be getting extra exercise chasing after your bubs.
Jodi - I'd keep the hair appt too! hehe
We put our chrissy tree up too on the weekend. Josh loves to stare at it. Luckily he can not get to it yet because I still have really "nice" delicate decorations. Next year it will be different with lots of mish mash colours and tinsel...lol
Josh loves being on his tummy all the time now. I put him down and he rolls straight over. He's feeling alot better now although still a little snuffly. But he's got his energy back. He rolls over in his cot during his day sleeps and keeps waking himself up, so he's awake a lot longer during the day but is seeming to manage to have a biggish 2 hour sleep at some point. In the mornings when he wakes up he rolls over onto his tummy and oohs, aahs, squeals which wakes us up! It's funny and cute. I'm beginning to think it is time to move his cot into the nursery (he's in our bedroom atm).
Josh has also tried some new foods. Tried potato last week but as he was sick, he wasn't too keen on it. Tried a piece of banana the last couple of days which he mushed up in his fingers then I had to finger feed it to him. Tried avocado this morning and he didn't like it at all! First thing he hasn't really liked. Will try red apple next I think.
-
Hi everyone,
Boy it has been quiet in here. Haven't had time to get on here for the last week or so but seems I onyl missed a couple of posts so Im all caught up now.
Wow I can't believe how many of the busb are already crawling- where has the time gone ?? Macey is still a while off crawling I think. She only just started going backwards today when on her belly, although I'm sure once she works out that she'll be able to start chasin around Harry she'll get moving pretty quickly.
Solids are going great- not a fussy eater at all which is even better- still a little on the clogged up side though with her no 2's. I've cut out all farax now and just add a tsp of rolled oats if I need to thicken up her vegies or fruit.
I've also cut our the last rollover feed (10pm-ish) last week and most nights shes been going fine without it. Shes had the occasional night where she'll wake and be unsettled round 1-2am but I think its more to do with poo-pains so donlt know what elese I can do there to help. She has kiwi fruit with her lunch and spinich with her tea every tea -both are supposed to help to soften things and she'll also drink the occasional bit of water s donlt know what else I can do to help her.
Alos no signs of teeth yet which after going thru Harry's early teething dramas, Ilm happy for it to hold off as long as it wants. Maybe Santa will bring her a toothy??
ok need to run and get some shut eye. Got a big day on tomorrow for the inlaw xmas and stayin with them tomorrow night which is always fun (not!) :wall:when your trying to get & keep 2 littlies asleep in the same room as us so you dolt wake up the rest of the house.:crossfingers:
Enjoy the rest of your weekends :-)
-
Wow, it is quiet in here! How is everyone going? What are we all up to?
Beck - how did the stay with the inlaws go?
Lulu - how are the girls going? Getting along any better? With only my first bub, I have no idea how to help so here is a
Jodi, Blanche, Kristale, Klee - hi to you all, how are the bubbas going?
Joshua is way over his cold now. He's rolling heaps and manages to shuffle backwards but still a way off crawling anywhere yet. Had his Santa photo done last week. Not much else happening, still enjoying the solids. I'm back into pilates and trying to do some big walks every day. Need to lose 5kg at least, 10 would be ideal, but 5 will get me back to pre-preg weight.
Hi to everyone I've missed. I'm off to bed now...!
-
Hi everyone. It has been very quiet - I hope everyone is just caught up in Christmas rush rather than any problems.
Laranna - that's great that Josh is over his cold. Yay for getting back into exercise. I would kill to be able to get back doing something. I tried swimming the other day but then had a crappy night with Ellie and when faced with the choice of getting out of bed at 6.30 am to go swimming or getting another hour or so's sleep really wasn't too difficult to work out!
Beckstar - great news that Macey is doing so well on solids and sleeping really well for you. Makes such a difference when you can get real blocks of uninterrupted sleep.
Jodi - OMG I hear you on the sharing (or not!) toys thing. Ellie always wants whatever it is that Izzy is playing with. Most of the time Iz will happily share but every now and then she gets really frustrated with not being left alone - especially if she's building with blocks or something and El comes and knocks it all over.
El is still not interested in solids. I've been trying different things every couple of days or so with no real luck yet. Still not concerned - she'll get there eventually, but I can't help but think that the sooner she starts, the sooner I'll only be cooking one evening meal, making one lunch etc.
-
lulu - I had both girls fighting over a toy yesterday. Emily insisted that she wanted what Nina had. And Nina kept saying 'miiiiiiiine!' and Emily kept insisting. I had no option but to sit there and laugh at them
She'll eat when she's ready. Nina was about 7.5 months old when she started solids.
laranna - good for you getting back into exercise. I'm at my pre-pregnacy weight, but I have another 10kg until I'll be happy. I go to the gym 3 days a week and have just started water aerobics, first night was tonight. I was hoping to have lost the weight by xmas, but it didn't happen. So my next goal is to lose the weight before May, which is when I'm heading down to Melbourne for a bb meet up.
Emily is certainly moving around a lot. She will roll, and roll, and roll forever, all around the lounge room. It's very cute. Nina has been trying to 'teach' her to crawl, by crawling around saying 'c mon Am-a-lee, crawl wit me' (that's how she pronounces her name). Emily just laughs at her and rolls around some more.
beck - I'm with you, I'm more than happy for no teeth to appear any time soon. Emily did have a teeth cut through, but it's gone back up again. Nina didn't start teething till 8 months, but then by 15 months she had all of them except her 2 yr molars. But she wasn't a bad teether, so hopefully Emily isn't either.
-
Wow. Its been quiet in here.
Elena is standing completely unassisted for a few seconds at a time now, furniture walking with ease and pulling herself up on the sofa. She is just so incredibly advanced. I really hope she slows down but I have my doubts it will happen - she's in such a rush to keep up with her big sister. She is also babbling a lot more than Izzy did at this age so I'm wondering if she'll talk earlier too. Just what I need!! Finally making headway with solids although she is very choosey.
Hope everyone is well, Christmas shopping is almost finished and relaxation can soon start.
-
**** lulu - stop that girl! That is amazing, she really is in a hurry isn't she.
I've noticed Emily is doing things earlier than Nina as well. She's sitting unsupported, whereas Nina wasn't doing that until 9 months of age. Even with the food, Emily is more advanced. Emily is trying to get up and crawl. But she's not getting up and trying to rock, she's trying to get up on hands and knees, and trying to take off straight away. I think she wants to skip the practice stage
My Christmas shopping was done 6 months ago :D All I need to do is pick them up off layby this weekend, or sometime next week. I'm super organised this year. Except I've decided to take one of Nina's presents back, and I'm replacing it with something she's more into, which is a Princess tea set.
How is everyone going? I imagine all the little bubbies will be getting very spoilt at Christmas time.
klee - haven't heard from you for a while, how are you going? Do you have something special planned to remember Phoebe this Christmas?
-
Holy cow Lulu! I can't believe Elena is nearly walking! She must really, really want to follow her big sister around!
Joshua is getting better at sitting, although he can not get to a sitting position himself yet. I feel like a real bad mum though. Had him sitting up between my legs and he fell forward and bumped his forehead on the ground :( We were sitting outside on a rug on the paving too. It made such a loud bump and then OMG there were tears! Poor little munchkin, I felt so guilty. But he only ended up with a small red mark, no bump or bruise thankfully and 20 minutes later, it was all forgotten!
We got his hands and feet castings framed and got that back today. It looks really good. I'm so glad I got it done even if it did cost $165.
Almost done here with the Christmas shopping. Just a couple more presents to buy and also have to wrap them all. Got Joshua's santa photos back today. We did the Harvey Norman package. Got so many photos, will be giving them out to the rellies!
Oh, guess what, I'm not going back to work. Got a redundancy woohoo! So far our budget for me to be off work for 12 months is going really well so we'll just continue with that plan and save the redundancy payout and maybe do a few things to the house. I'm really excited about knowing I can stay home longer with my little man :)
-
Laranna - that's fabulous news that you don't have to go back to work. You must be over the moon. FWIW, and I'm not sure if this is to make you feel better or worse, once Joshua starts pulling himself up the amount of times he falls on his little head is going to increase ten fold. Poor Elena has had a few nasty spills - and we have hardwood floors so there is always a horribly large thud. You obviously need to do what you can to minimise danger but at the end of it, its all part of the learning experience. I wish I had had castings done of Iz and El - really regret it now. I'm glad yours have turned out so well. We went to Santa the other day too - Ellie was ok but Iz wasn't having anything to do with him. Funny, but I thought it would be the other way around. Santa did say that about 90% of kids at Iz's age don't like it so I guess I have it to look forward to with Ellie next year too. Oh well, hopefully we'll get a good Santa photo of the two of them in a couple of years.
Jodi - yay for having Christmas shopping done. I just have a few bits to pick up for my folks and then I'm done too. The developmental differences between baby 1 and 2 are huge aren't they - Emily has obviously watched Nina and thinks hey, I can do this!
-
wow Elena, slow down girl!! she will be running by next week!
our kids are getting so spoilt for christmas is unbelievable!! but i cant wait to see their faces xmas morning!
Jack has started pulling himself up on furniture, hes so cheeky now he crawls really fast now and when im like "wheres Jack gone" ill go see where hes gone and he will spot me and crawl away really fast laughing!! i love this age especially now he is interacting with DD alot and i find myself sitting there smiling at them playing together! quiet sad really they are growing up to quick :(
Laranna, poor Joshua, but as Lulu said it happens even more when they start pulling themselves up and that, i think Jack has little red marks on his head daily from bumping into things or falling over!!
i always wanted to get the casts done might still look into it, they look great too.
hope u all have a happy safe christmas and a very happy new year xx
-
Hello Ladies
Sorry to intrude on the thread . I have a little girl due in May 09, and I was wondering whether I needed short sleeve / singlets / summer clothes, or if it would be too cold by then :dunno:? And who else to ask but you ladies who did it last year???
So, did your bubs go straight into winter clothes? Ta!
-
Hi oscaroscar...yep DS went into the bonds wondersuits with a singlet underneath straight away. It was quite cool here in Perth. I always had a singlet underneath his bodysuit or under long sleeve top and pants with socks. And if it was extra cold, I would wrap him (he was wrapped for sleeping at that stage anyway).
Well, ladies, not sure if I will get time tomorrow but just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Enjoy our bubba's first Christmas :) How exciting!?! I hope everyone has a lovely day and gets spoilt.!
-
hi all, just wanted to wishe everyone a belated merry christmas, hope you all and your little ones had a fantastic day and all got spoiled.
we've had visitors for about the last month it seems so we've barely been around, jo had a wonderful day yesterday, turns out he must have been singing the "all i want for christmas is my two front teeth" cause he got his top two just in time. he had so much fun, we went to what we call Phoebe's park for christmas day with PIL's and he loved it, he really didn't stop talking, which was wonderful. anyway its only a short one cause i wanted to send best wishes to everyone, so take care and have a safe new year, will see you back here then as we're off to the country for a few days.
-
Merry Christmas everybody. The girls were so incredibly spoilt - still working their way through opening presents! Everybody is completely exhausted though so lots of quiet play today.
BBL for personals - off to do bath duties.
-
Happy New Year girls!!! :) It's been pretty quiet in here, I guess we've all been busy. How did the bubba's enjoy their first Christmas?
klee - wow at Jo having top teeth already. Joshua has none yet and I can't feel a thing on his gums.
Joshua was sooo spoiled with presents from the family. I was very surprised that there were no double ups! His present from "Santa" was the FP crawl and cruise musical jungle and he loves it. He had to wait to use it though because when we opened it, the monkeys arm was busted. Luckily the shop had one left so we swapped it over. From us, he got a couple of board books, a name puzzle, castanet, maracca and that's about it. Everything else was from the rellies.
On Christmas morning, Joshua decided it was time he started rocking backwards and forwards on his hands and knees. Since then, he does it ALL the time! He's also pretty good at sitting up by himself for a short period although today he did topple backwards and knocked his head and we had some tears. I just think, any minute now he will start crawling but he seems to be enjoying doing the knee rocking for now.
-
Happy New Year everyone!!
I'm so sorry I've been so slack in here. We went away between Christmas and New Year which was lovely. Emily got a tooth last week, and she has a top tooth coming through at the moment  She's a little grumpy every now and then, but nothing we can't handle.
Emily loved her first Christmas and was very spoilt. I think she enjoyed the wrapping paper more though
Did you get my text klee? How special that would have been for you all to go to Phoebe's park.
laranna - woohoo on Joshua rocking! Won't be long and they'll be all crawling.
bbl, Emily ready for bed.
-
Laranna - yay for Joshua. What a clever boy. He'll probably get it all together incredibly quickly now. Bummer about his monkey being broken - that sort of stuff is always really frustrating.
Jodi - great that Emily has got teeth on the move and that she's not too bad with them.
My girls got incredibly spoilt at Christmas, although Elena had no interest at all really - not even in the paper. Izzy on the other hand ripped into every present she could find, whoever it was for!! Definitely wondering why I joined the toy library because I can't imagine there is a toy that we don't own.
Ellie has been a nightmare lately. She is so unsettled and most times at night when she wakes she is awake for a couple of hours. I'm sure its a tooth coming through so I hope it comes through very quickly. She's such a grizzle bum though - very different from Izzy who rarely was grumpy while teething. Funny how two children raised in the same household can be so completely different in personality. Nice that they are, but I think I would have rather had my more "difficult" baby first - I think I would have handled her clingyness and whingyness a lot better had I not had Izzy, who is just such an easy going baby.
Anyway, better get back to cooking dinner. Elena still has almost no interest in solids. Not worried still but life would be a lot easier if I could have both the kids in high chairs eating toast!
-
Wow we've been really quiet this year!
How's everyone going? How are the Perth girls and bubs coping in this heat? It's sooo hot today. I'm so glad we have airconditioning :)
I got really excited yesterday because Joshua got from lying on his tummy into a sitting position yesterday :) But I missed seeing him do it! I put him down on the floor on his tum to play with his toys then went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and when I came back out he was sitting up! He looked at me with this huge smile on his face and he looked a bit confused as to why I was so happy :) LOL
He's not really crawling yet, but is rocking on his hands and knees heaps. He gets around a little bit by sliding backwards on his tummy and turning around.
We start swimming lessons tomorrow. Really looking forward to it. Not much else going on. Oh, we finally moved him into his own room and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be :) He transitioned very well.
-
It has been quiet.
That's great news about Joshua Laranna. What a clever boy. He'll be off in no time now. Where are you doing swimming? I must get Elena enrolled and get Izzy back in the pool. We stopped Izzy's swimming when El was born because it was just too hard for a while and then never got back.
OMG the weather has been awful hasn't it. I think except for a couple of days early this week we have had the airconditioners on constantly since Boxing Day. Its really awful at our place this morning too with the smoke from Kings Park. I was going to do heaps of washing today but I don't really want to hang anything on the line cos it will stink.
Elena has her 8 month MCHN on Monday. Looking forward to seeing how much she has grown - I'm sure she's put on 20kgs!!! She's such a heavy little lump now. Also hoping I can get some ideas about what to try food wise with her. She's still really not interested in solids and while I'm not worried yet, I'm frustrated that we're not making any progress. She is back to waking twice a night for a bottle and I'm sure its because she needs solids to get her through.
Hi to everybody else. Hope mums and bubs are all doing well.
-
Lulu - we're doing the swimming at Stateswim, there are a few centres around Perth.
Yeah it is smoky around our place too and I was going to wash nappies and clothes but I think it's going to have to wait until the smoke clears.
Josh has his 8 month MCHN check on Tuesday, was supposed to be last week but the nurse had to change it for some reason. I'm eager to find out how much he weighs because he eats soooo much. He was 7.24kg on Christmas Eve. Josh is eating pretty much anything. Toast, fruits, veggies, rice cereal. I've started setting aside portions of our own dinners and mashing it up and freezing for him. He's had chicken casserole, tuna bake and beef casserole. I think he's going to eat me out of house and home! Plus he still has 5 milk feeds during the day.
I hope Elena starts to tuck into her solids soon Lulu.
-
He sounds like he's doing brilliantly on solids. It is sooooo much easier when everybody in the house is eating the same thing. Izzy has always been great too (with the occasional period of fussiness - like now!!) and by this stage she was having 3 solid meals a day, snacks etc. I know Elena will get there. Just hope its soon. I miss my uninterrupted night's sleep ;)
-
Helllloooooo....anyone there? How are we going girls? It's been so quiet! Our bubbas must be keeping us busy!
I know Josh is....he has just started crawling! He loves chasing after the cats, they just run away and hide. He also said his first word today - "bubba" :) He sounded so cute and made me worry heaps less. We saw the CHN last week for his 8 month check and she was a little bit "concerned" that he was not babbling yet and was talking about seeing a speech therapist!!! She decided to wait until we see the paed next month. Bah, I think he's fine!
He now weighs 7.75kg. Still small but back on his own growth curve. We are half BF and half FF and fully into the solids. He is loving his swimming lessons and last week the instructor let him go underwater and he swam to me! It was only about 3 feet away but he kicked his legs and up he came! So proud.
Hope you lovely ladies and the gorgeous bubs are going well.
xx
-
Yay for Josh (although your puddy tat might not share that view?!).
Ellie is still small too - 7.6kgs at her 8 month check last week. That is still very much in the healthy range and I actually love that I have two small babies. It makes them so much easier to cart around, cuddle and play with when they're that bit smaller.
Don't worry about your MCN. I think a lot of them stress mums unnecessarily. FWIW Izzy really didn't babble at all but now at 20 months she is a little chatterbox with new words (and strings of words) coming out every day. He'll get there in his own good time.
-
Hey ladies. I'll be leaving BB. I've had enough of the sniping, nasty gangs of women on here that jump on anybody with a different view.
I wish you all the best with your bubbies.
-
Lulu - sorry to see you're leaving, have PM'd you.
How is everyone else going? Hope you ladies pop in again soon...I feel a bit silly talking to myself ;)
-
im so sorry i havent been in here for a while, had a few things going on of late!
Lulu- i get y you have decided to leave i almost did as this site just isnt the same as when i first joined! wishing you all the best
How is everyone? love the new av Laranna very nice!!
Woo hoo on Joshua crawling wtg!!

i really hope everyone is well *hello* to you all mwa xox
ETA- if u dont reconise me im Blanche :) just changed my name to be a bit more private!!
-
EmJa! It has been very quiet in here. That is awesome that Jack is already walking! What a clever little boy! I'm glad that you are feeling better on the PND, that's great news. And congratulations on the engagement!! How exciting to be planning a wedding, it's so much fun.
As for us, Joshua is happily crawling everywhere and standing up using furniture to cruise around the place. He loves being out in the backyard but I am forever watching him because he likes to eat everything he can get his hands on - dirt, leaves, sticks...argh...such a boy!
The grossest one was the other day when our cat did a poo in the house (grr!) and Joshua found it before I did..OMG...YUK YUK, he had obviously tasted it and it was smeared around his face and his hands....ewwww it was straight into the shower with me for a big soapy wash! LOL Gross.
Well anyway, it has been fairly quiet in here so I hope everyone is well. If any of you would like to keep in touch via email or facebook PM for my email. I am still around the forums but it is lonely in this thread!!
-
oh wow its so quiet in here, hope everyone and bubs are doing ok. just wanted to see if anyone is out there, would be great to see what the bubbas are up to. this is one of first times i've managed to get in here, we've had quite a few family dramas over the past 3 months, but hopefully its all on the way up, fingers crossed.
anyway would love to hear from you all if you're around.
-
Hey Klee, im still around lol, dont come on BB as much as i used too..i always on fb though!!

klee, hope the family stuff is improving for you  How is Joe going?
Blanche - 6 teeth! Josh only has his 2 bottom teeth so far, but he's been a real grumpy pants the last few days and very clingy so I am thinking some more teeth are coming. He's been waking at night too and cries when I leave the room so I am getting lots of cuddles. He started standing up for a few seconds at a time the other day too, so I don't think walking is too far off. He cruises around everywhere and pushes the chairs away from the table.
Nice work on the weight loss too!! I am just starting to look at wedding stuff, we got engaged last week :) Woot, picking up the ring this afternoon, we chose it together. What kind of wedding are you having Blanche? It's a bit overwhelming, I have no idea where to start!
Hope all the bubbas are doing well. Can you believe they are nearly one!?!

2 weddings coming up, how exciting for you both!!! Congratulations on your engagements and good luck planning the wedding. DH & I had so much fun planning our wedding.
klee - I hope everything is ok with your family
I'm the same as you guys, don't really come on here that often. I went back to work in February, so as you can imagine, things are extremely busy in our household. The girls have settled in really well at daycare, and we've finally got ourselves into a good routine.
Emily is doing really well, still crawling, but she pulls herself up on everything, and she loves to climb  The child is going to be trouble! lol
Last I saw she had 8 teeth, 2 on the bottom and 6 up top. She's had an ear infection this week, so she's been unwell. But she seems to be on the mend now.
Well I'm off to enjoy the beautiful sunshine today :D

blanche & laranna - congrats on your engagements and upcoming weddings, how exciting! pm me both your names and i'll add on fb or jodi can you recommend them to me on it, i'm on fb more than on here too.
blanche - wow on the weigh loss thats fantastic, and great that your so open about your PND, its fantastic that you are aware of it, just go with how you are feeling, life has its up and downs and you are only human. jack sounds like such a pro on the walking.
laranna - gee doesn't sound like it will be long at all for joshua to be walking, but isn't this stage fun? seeing them try new things.
jodi - you sound so busy, you've done well just to even get on here, how you enjoying work? hope emily feels better and wow on the 8 teeth.
thanks for the thoughts on the family dramas, df's dad was in a coma for 2 weeks after being in a serious car crash but now he's doing well, back in hospital after an infection, but his wife is whats going to keep him in there, she's not letting up on him and that he should be doing more, um lady how about you nearly die and then see how much you can do! thats all the vent i need. both my sisters are pg and I just get worried about them too, after losing phoebe i just stress so much about pregnancies.
on to jo, he's a climber too and is sooo cheeky but he makes me laugh so much, i started back work a few weeks ago too 2 days a week and he's learning some cheeky things at family day care, but its socialisation and he's learning so i guess in a way its good. he finally mastered a proper crawl about a month ago, before that he was doing this slap and slide thing, think it was cause our floorboards are so slippery. but he too is up on his feet at every chance, this morning i found him riding his fisher price car by himself, kind of shocked me. he's got 6 teeth too and 2 more coming through about to bfreak.
anyway enough of the babble, great to see you girls still on here, hope to see you on fb
