Shazz: Sounds like my DP....He is quick to tell me what Jayden needs or wants but won't get off his lazy butt to do anything about it.....As far as dinner goes if he had to prepare dinner its usually pizza!
WTG VIC!! Well done at missing out on 3 nappy changes!! I told DP he has to start changing nappies if I'm putting Jayden on formula....I didn't get a great response LOL.
Kim: I FELT A LET DOWN!!!! YAY I wasn't feeding him it was at the candle party and Jayden was sleeping and then I felt it!! I got so excited I told everyone hehe. Maybe my body was just getting used to the tablets as I took one at dinner tonight and I didn't get a headache...I think the lunch one was ok too...but I got a headache this morning....Who knows but I hope it works for me too!
OMG I am way too tired! And hot! I have to go to bed.....Nighty night girls

-
WTG Ryan!! Now keep it up for your mummy!! When Jayden slept through for the first time I woke with a fright too...luckily he was still in our room I didn't have to go far haha. You haven't always had Ryan's site address in your sig have you? I have only just noticed it!
I think my boy is stiring now...he has had a good 2hr nap YAY!! Hmm maybe I'm hearing things hehe. DP got a new monitor delivered this morning (got it off ebay) Its a 19" LCD...It looks really good and the picture is so clear! He has been on N/S all weekend and should be sleeping now but he is busy playing with his new toy hehe.
Have a great day girls

OMG he slept for 3 hrs!! There was no stiring earlier but he is now...I had to check on him about half hour ago...I was getting worried!!

Afternoon Girls
The appointment the with eye guy went well. He thinks Briley does have a blocked tear duct but said in most cases they correct themselves by 18 months at the latest. But she has too go back in 3 months too see how it is going anyways.
We had our little sleeping angel back lastnight! Not sure how long it is going to last...as long as i keep up the panadol at night i suppose!! She fell asleep after a bath and some panadol at about 7ish and then slept through till 6 thismorning!! I really hope we have a repeat perfomance tonight cause we had to get up real early thismorn and i am tired!
Well i was supposed to do personals but i am tired right now...might go and have a nap.

Hi Girls, I'm still around....just been really busy of late. Had Samuel's 3rd Birthday Party yesterday. OMG, so exhausting...I'm still recovering today. He was absolutely spoilt rotten as usual. His actual birthday isn't until tomorrow, so he is getting his presents from us when his Daddy gets home from work. We thought that they would get lost and forgotten about in amongst all that he got yesterday, plus it is a good way for us, as a family celebrate the actual day of his birth. As I have done every year at 8.42am I will shedd a tear, thinking about the first time I layed eyes on him. *Sigh*....feeling a bit sad, as both of my babies are growing up so fast.
I haven't posted in here in such a long time, there is way to many posts to catch up on. So sorry girls no personals at this stage.
Phoebe is well, but yet again her sleeping patterns are changing....which is becoming a little difficult. I have started her on solids, just a small amount of farex, about an hour after her morning bottle. She is still learning what to do with it, but I am sure she will get there in time. I will have to update her pic on her ticker. I took some great pics of her yesterday....she was all dressed up for her brothers birthday, and it wouldn't be complete without a little clip in her hair. She looked like she was 12 months old.
Hope everyone and their bubba's are well.
Take Care. X

Quiet in here tonight ladies...
Where is everyone?? I am all alone!! *sigh*
I am about to crash anyhow. Little Miss has already crashed on the lounge so i better put her to bed and then put myself to bed i think.
Brent is on n/s and i am already feeling lonely and it's only the first night!! But her has been on n/s for 3 weeks straight though, so i think i have a strong case. At least i have BB!!
I will be back in the morning. Hope all is well with everyone.
Ciao
-
Well Sara, definately nothing much happening in here tonight.....
Good Night Girls, Sleep Tight....X
-
It is very quiet in here.
Will come in tomorrow if Em allows me and will catch up. Weekend was busy for me as per usual!
Em has a bit of a rash and a low temp ?? - we were in emergency last night with it and the Dr said it was nothing ominous and sent us home with intructions to see our GP. So we're booked in tomorrow.
Before emergency he just had the rash - the last 24 hours his temp has dropped and he's been fussing and whinging and sleeping heaps as well. I've hardly got a thing done. Though he went to sleep at 7.30 and I haven't heard from him since. So we're prolly in for a shocker of a night.
Funny though - he was asleep at the hospital and woke up to see the Dr prodding him. Had this wide eyed scared look and then burst into tears!!! Calmed down when he saw me but darn it was cute!
Well I'm going to try and get some sleep while he lets me! Fingers crossed I can get on tomorrow!

The Chicken Pox Saga Continues......
Kaitlyn has bright red spots on her face. They're about the size of a mozzie bite. Yesterday there were 5 on one side and today there are more on that side and the same amount on the other side and there's also some on her head.
Should I take her to the GP ASAP? I am a little concerned.
-
Sara: I know how you feel! Only I don't have to be on my own for that long at a time....Sometimes I enjoy the time without him here!
Mummy: I LOVE the new pic in your ticker.....What a real girly girl Phoebe is! Just beautiful!
Nat: Oh poor Em....Did the Dr say what it could be? Did his temp go down before you went to bed? What a good boy he is sleeping and how cute him seeing you and stopping his crying....Makes you feel so loved hey?
Well the day has just begun....Jayden is putting a cloth nappy (aka spew rag) over his head and kicking his arms and legs around hahaha he seems to enjoy it hehe. I was talking to my niece on MSN yesterday and I had Jayden sitting on the table in front on the laptop by himself!! He is doing it more often now but can't get up there on his own of course and he also rolled from back to belly but only for a split second and rolled back again.....I don't know why he won't do it! I'm happy for him not to as I had a dream last night he was more mobile and I had to keep looking for him all the time!
Not doing much again today....feeling a bit sorry for myself because I only have 6 more days until I start back at work :(
Have a great day girls
oxoxox
Leanne: I just saw your post as I posted mine.....Definately take her to the Dr's if your concerned....Check her temp and are the spots irritating her? I would take her for sure just for peace of mind...Good Luck!
-
Happy Birthday Samuel :happyforyou:
Doesn't Phoebe look cute? I wish Darcy's hair would grow a bit. I love clips and bows.
Gees Leanne, you think they'd have come up by now? Yep just ring your GP, maybe he can advise over the phone.....
Nat are you giving regular panadol, few clothes and cool bathes regularly? Hope he's feeling better.
Shazz you're right....Do we all drink the same water? Hope you're feeling better.
Go Vic! Your post made me laugh out loud :) How cute is Mel?
Tanya your post made me sad, happy then sad. Glad you felt the let down. I've still got a headache, so you're probably right, but I'll put up with it, and :crying: cos you have to go back to work poor love.
Sara - don't feel bad chook, we've all done something dumb.
Well my puter spat the dummy yesterday so there was a lot to read. Darcy's still sleeping badly and slept with me most of last night minus about an hour. She had a big spew all over both of us at 3am and thought that was hilarious. It took me while to get her back to sleep this am cos we've got mothers group this morning. Oh and tolerated the IL's again who still have no idea on Sunday night. Does this sound odd to you? Last time they were here I had a roll of film that had been developed. They had a look and SIL asked for a copy of 2. I said I'd get them the next day.She said no that she'd do it. I gave her the negatives nad sent Cam t pick them up the next day. They had the WHOLE roll developed without even telling me and had keyrings made up for every set of keys they own. Now they don't own a camera and I know they're entitled to photos of her which we seem to hand out (us paying rmember) but they didn't even say Do you mind? It's creepy to me.....and the photos we 3 months old.
-
Happy Birthday Samuel!! (sorry my emoticons aren't working or font sizes and colour....but if they were it would be really big and in blue with the party hat face LOL)
Kim: I noticed you weren't around yesterday hehe....Naughty Darcy for not sleeping still!! I wonder what is going on with her? Have you seen a Dr or CHN about it? I agree with Vic....Your in laws sound a bit odd! Why didn't they just tell you they wanted the lot, it sounds like they were trying to keep it a secret but got busted by sending Cam to pick them up LOL. My headache is getting less severe...its still there but is very dull. I fed Jayden off one bb this morning (after not feeding off either for 13hrs) and only got 60ml expressed from the other but the 2nd feed I fed from both and he was playing toward the end coming on and off and smiling so I guess he had enough haha.....Thank you so much for mentioning those tablets!!! I am still giving him a bottle before bed to get him to sleep right through.
Vic: I'm not letting Jayden out of my sight for the next week LOL not that I really have over the last 4.5 months hehe. What business do you run from home? I was just saying to Chris about half hour ago that I need to find something that I can do from home so I can be there for Jayden and any siblings he may have....I like photography so I might do a course and I can do glamour pics, baby pics or even pet pics.
Hmm.....$5 mil!!! I would buy a huge house set on a few acres with a gorgeous pool with a waterslide and a baby pool for Jayden....A couple of cars (not sure what kind). A huge play house which is a miniture version of the real house for Jayden to play in (saw it on Austar/Foxtell celebrity kids). I would move my parents up to QLD and buy them a house and pay for some of my friends from Melb to come and visit for a month or so...Oh I miss my friends and family!!! I would also make shopping my career LOL the $5mil wouldn't last long in my hands LOL.
-
afternoon girls
Kim yep fairly odd in laws you have there at least they could have asked
Vic ~ 5 million i'd be debt free and travelling then i would buy up some acerage and put a house smack bang in the middle so i couldn't see or hear any neighbours i too have some great ideas for a business ... i used to think that i would help out my family by paying out all their debts too but i've learnt now i wouldn't even tell them instead i'd change my phone number lol selfish cow i am
Leanne ~ i would definately be taking her to the doc's if anything just to put your mind at ease
-
Afternoon,
Another shocker night lastnight. I knew it would'nt last. Although i did'nt give her any panadol last night so that could be the reason. I don't really just wanna dose her up on panadol though just because i need to sleep. No sleep comes with the territory does'nt it??
Leanne - Maybe you should get another opinion from another Dr. Are you sure it's not heat rash?? When i got the chicken pox i got one spot on my upper arm, which i thought was a pimple and squeezed the hell out of it, then i got a fever and then came the rest of the spots. Does she get a temp or anything??
Vic - Well....where do i start!! Firstly i would prolly pay of our farm. Then i would buy either a unit or small house in town so that we had somewhere to stay in town when we needed too. Then i would buy my mum a house. Donate SOME of the money to various family members ie Grandmother, Fav Uncle and some of Brents family. Then i would go on a massive holiday while our NEW BIG house was being built on the farm.
But as this is NEVER likely to happen...i'll just dream abou it for now!!
Damn...Briley is awake...I will BBL to finish personals
Ciao
-
$5Mil? I would not tell my family but put 100K or so in each siblings bank account, and pay off my parent's mortgage. With the rest I would buy a caravan park on the coast in QLD and run it with my DH and maybe another couple.
We're off to the drs in an hr. Spoke with My GP over the phone. Said he thinks Katy's too young for CP but to come in anyway if "I AM THAT WORRIED".
BBL
-
If we won $5mill, I wouldn't tell a soul. Cameron's family always come to us for money now.....but I would discreetly top up MY favourite people's bank accounts. Then I'd be off to the accountants to find out how I can make it last forever....
Sara Brauers Calm I tell you. It does work, but the Dragon's just in the habit of waking now.
Well I guess the spots are still there Leanne. Good luck with the doctor. Does she have a temp?
-
happy 5 months for tomorrow Emerson
and omg Ryan is 6 months tomorrow
Happy half year birthday my baby :crying:
-
leanne how did you go at the doc's
-
Back from the doc.
Katy does not have the chicken pox, but the doctor did not know what it was. Spots are too big for bites, and in the wrong spots and wrong texture to be the chicken pox. Could be some sort of viral infection but who knows really.... She told us to put some sorbelene cream on them and if it gets any worse or spreads to bring her back.
She gave her a thorough check out and all other bits and pieces seem to be functioning well, and because Katy was all smiles and chatter sort of made the dr think that she could not really be sick.
We'll see how she goes.
Be back later for personals.
-
Leanne I've had a similar run around with the spots that Em has. They have put it down to insect bites... will bbl for personals!
-
Well at least it's not CP......did he at least swab them?
Is Em feeling better Nat?
You should hear the raucus here! Darcy has a new angry "I'M NOT GOING TO SLEEP COS YOU WANT ME TO!!" scream. Puts on quite a show. It's all fake cos it only starts when I walk away....but oh the personailty is revealing itself LOL. I'm sure Darcy the Dragon's motto is going to be "Hear me roar". Hahaha.
Six months already Shazz? That means most of us have known each other 12 months....
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MEN!!!
I can't believe some of the babies are reaching the 6 month mark already!! Time is just flying aint it.
Brauers Calm you reckon hey Kim...Well i'll have to get me some when i go into town on Thursday. She tried to pull the crap on me before too. I gave her a bath and bottle at about 6.30 cause she was chuckin one on me. She had the bottle and some panadol and i put her into her cot cause she was dosing while she was having the bottle. Well she had other ideas thank-you-very-much!! She was screaming. I got the poo's big time and yelled at her like a naughty mum and she stopped for about...um...2 seconds!! So i put her in front of the tv to watch House of Flying Daggers!!! And she shut up till i put her to bed bout 20mins ago. Hopefully she will sleep through.
Thats great news Leanne. CP is bad news. Lets hope they find out what it is soon.
Nice to see that in everyones "5 million dollar wishes" you all woulda brought acerage!! Well i am living that dream but i am paying for it big time too!!
Our house warming is on this weekend. We are having a big hangi dinner...and now its forcast for rain!! Its raining now too!! It better not. We are going to spend $120 on a whole pig for it so i will be spewin!! I was wondering...Are ppl meant to but you gifts for your house warming?? I am pretty sure they are!!! Would'nt that be nice!!
Anyways i think i might make an early night of it. It's only 8.35pm and i've been having some late nights lately and then Briley wakes up just as i start to dose off!!
Hi to everyone else and their litlins!! Talk tomorrow.
Ciao

Hi Girls!
Scott had his staples out today. Bit painful cos the hair that they had shaved off him had started growing back ... at least he's not as itchy any more.
I nearly threw up though (it takes a lot to make me feel that way) ... right near the top of the incision (sp?) it didn't close properly and there was like a hole ... they put some sort of paper thingy across it (can't for the life of me think what its called) and gave me some spares in case it comes off in the shower. They reckon it should close up properly in the next couple of days. Was very yuck!! He starts physio next tuesday which will be good.
Went and checked out the heated swimming pool near our house today. Costs $100 for a Mums and Bubs swimming class that they run ... 1/2 hour session once a week for 10 weeks. Don't really have the money right now ... as Scott will probably go there a few times for a little physio I'm just going to take Jovi then and take her myself. The girl who runs the classes was really nice and said that she would make up a sheet of a few of things that they do in the class so I could do them myself with Jovi. Quite nice of them I reckon ... don't usually find that these days. People always just want heaps of money.
Jovi is sleeping at the moment ... she's pretty much been sleeping with me since Scott had his op and is in another bed. She usually has little crying sessions during the night (teething and dummy falls out and she gets cranky) and I can't be bothered racing across the rooms several times a night to stick it back in to quieten her. Just easier to have her in the bed ... of course she sleeps much soundly that way the little bugger. She's definitely going back to her bed when Scott comes back. At least then there's 2 of us and its not as tiring.
Although sleeping in our bed she's much easier to get to sleep the last week ... even during the day. I now just put her on our bed on top of her blanket, put the blanket over her, she rolls on her side and passes out. If I try to rock her now it takes like half and hour and my back is killing me! She's getting way too heavy. The next step is to try and get her to self settle ... one step at a time!
Plus I'm actually getting some nice little naps during the day ... being on leave I can just lie there and end up passing out myself. the house looks like a bomb hit it but I don't really care! As long as no one visits ...
Of course now Scott's mum and sister are coming for a visit on thursday so I have to clean madly tomorrow ... not much to do really, just the kitchen and fold the clothes (which are lying in a pile in Jovi's room ... that she's not even using at the moment ... lol).
Sorry if TMI but am anxiously waiting for the arrival of AF. Never wanted it to arrive more! SOMEBODY got a little antsy last week and I'm seriously hoping I'm not pregnant. I was given the pill to take but usual me, never ended up doing it. We have our own methods, but since I was on fertility drugs for Jovi (clomid) I'm now a little worried that I won't have any more probs conceiving (Scott's mum had the same issue and only needed drugs for her first ... there's 15 months between scott and his older sister!).
I can recognise when I'm going to get AF now cos for the first time I actually get PMS (Really bad ... scott wants to kills me cos I get so moody and cranky) and I was like that last week and I told him that I would prob get it this week ... still haven't ... so I'm hoping it shows up in the next week or so.
Don't get me wrong ... we want more kids ... but I want to enjoy jovi and the plan was not to have another one until Jovi was almost toilet trained so we wouldn't have 2 babies in nappies.
Plus it would be really hard financially. Will just have to stop thinking about it and stressing (as that will keep it away longer!) and hope it shows up soon.
I remember reading something about $5m? Well, we would prob tell our parents and my brother, but wouldn't tell the rest of his family. They're leeches ... lol. They often borrow money off his parents, so we would give them some (that way they could keep lending money, but his sisters would be none the wiser), we would pay off all my parents debts (farmers ... need I say more!) and give some to my brother and his family (also farmers). Buy a house, invest, put a lot away for Jovi, buy a BRAND NEW car, go on our honeymoon (still waiting seeing as though we got married almost 2 years ago! lol) (which would probably be to go to America so Scott could go to the wrestling ... would be fun). And live off the rest for a while. Enjoy the kid/s and not have to worry about work. Would be nice wouldn't it?
Jovi has her needles coming up in a couple of weeks. I hope she doesn't have a reaction cos 2 days later we have a birthday party for our 1 year old god-daughter, Hallie.
What does one buy a one year old?
going to weigh Jovi end of this week. Has been a few weeks and she weighed 6.5 kgs then. She's SOOOO heavy.
She's not crawling yet like some others here! Well done! She can roll around though but doesn't yet realise that she can use that to catch the cats. Quite funny.
She's eating like a trojan ... still doesn't really drink all her bottles (anywhere between 150-180mL though I make them up to 210mL just in case she gets hungry), but I usually use the left overs to make her some farax. She finally likes the pear and banana flavoured one which is good ... lack of money this week and that's about all she's had to eat. But she's eating it like 2-3 times a day. She had started eating an hour or so after every bottle (down to 4 now cos of the feeding, with a little top up before i go to bed) and she's putting on weight so I don't worry anymore that she doesn't drink all her bottle.
She also likes her juice and water.
She screams at us now when she gets cranky. Quite annoying really and can give you a headache. Is worse when she's been naked and you're trying to dress her. As soon as she feels clothes or the nappy she starts. You just have to ignore it and be quick! lol
Well ... I've rambled on for a long time now ... talk to you girls soon!

Happy 6 Months Ryan!
Happy 5 Months Emerson!
Leanne: That’s great news that its not CP….If she’s not irritated by it and doesn’t have a temp I wouldn’t worry too much.
Nat: How’s Em going with his spots? Jayden had spots a couple of weeks ago which I can only guess they were insect bites…I didn’t take him to the Dr’s as they didn’t seem to bother him and he had no temp….However the fate of the 2 mozzies in his room weren’t so good LOL
Kim: LOL @ Darcy’s personality showing its true colours… I really hope she settles soon for you
Vic: That sounds really good…..I’m not computer smart enough to do that sort of thing…DP is unbelievable with computers though, he could do it ( but its not him with the problem of going back to work LOL) Re: $5mil I don’t think I would tell many of my family or DP’s…DP’s parents wouldn’t ask for money (they have enough of their own) but there would be no end to the lectures I’d get from FIL if I didn’t spend the money EXACTLY how he thinks it should be spent. He went off at ME for wanting new and nice things ie TV camera etc…..1st of all its DP that wants them NOT me and whats wrong with wanting good things? Fair enough you gotta save but you can’t take it with you so you may as well enjoy it.
Beck: Eww sounds yukky Beck LOL. Good that the staples are out though I hope he makes a quick recovery for you…How you coping with looking after Jovi and Scott? Send a copy of that sheet to all of us!! That is so nice that she is doing that for you instead of going to the lessons…..I’m not taking Jayden to lessons, its too pricy for their age and we have 2 pools in the family so we can teach him besides its only $4 for a casual swim in the heated pool….Actually Sheree and I are going today YAY!! My house usually looks like a bomb hit it lately…. Lack of motivation I think because I know I’m going back to work soon :( OMG I hope AF comes for you!! How scary…..I’d love another bub now but I want to enjoy Jayden on his own a bit longer and have enough money to be able to stay at home and not return to work. I usually by clothes for pressies esp for a 1yr old…..Maybe some toys if you know what they already have…bath toys are always good.
OMG what a long post…..Well my little man decided to wake me up at 5.30 this morning and not go back to sleep…I didn’t talk to him or change him…Just fed him and hoped he’d go back down for a couple of hours!! No luck of course he is laying there going and garring…..I have to change him now I ‘heard’ a deposit being made into his nappy LOL….OMG he is talking to his dummy! Turning around and around in his hands then putting in his mouth then out again…Hmm he’s screaming at it now I better go break it up LOL
Have a great day girls

Happy Birthdays Boys!!! 5 and 6 months already. WOW!!!
I am so relieved it's not chicken pox. I am putting it down to mozzy bites. I squashed a really fat one last night in her room. Looked like it had had a great feed! It's pretty bad if Kaitlyn reacts like that to a bite though. Bright red and huge! Not like me or her father. Feel a little silly that I went to the dr now for something like that. :(
We had a good night last night. Fed Kaitlyn at 7 and she went to sleep before her head hit the pillow. No wrapping, nothing. Wasn't even interested in her usual dose of home and away LOL! Then at 11 I thought I'd feed and wrap her cause I did not want a 1 or 2am wake up call and she again was asleep before her head hit the pillow. She's just woken now and she's in there talking to her hands but getting frustrated as they aren't talking back. LOL.
For a one year old, I guess clothes and toys are the best option. I usually talk to the parent to see what size they are and what they really need. Maybe even a nice book.
Kim: want to meet up soon? It's been ages.
Oh, the noise is getting louder. Better go get my little ray of sunshine. :)
Have a nice day girls.
-
Ryan and Em Happy Birthday. Happy half a journey round the sun Ryan. :happybirthday:
Beck they're called steri strips. Good to hear he seem to be recovering well though. Darcy's been in bed with me a lot too. I really hope AF comes for you. Don't stress though cos it's probably making it worse.
Yes Leanne I do. Everytime I'm going to send you a message the CP saga seems to get worse LOL.
Tania I feel sad for you feeling sad at having to go back to work.
I'm off for an ultrasound this morning. It's part of the battery of tests I have to have from my kidney and liver issues with pregnancy/labour. I'm supposed to be fasting but I'm starving so I'm having black tea. They won't know anyway:rolleyes: Gonna cost $145 cos it's a specialist referral
Then Darcy and I are having another girls night in.
Oh forgot. We went into town on Monday in search of a unique and beautiful 'baby's first christmas' ornament. I want to get in early so the IL don't think they have the right to buy one for OUR tree, but I couldn't find any that I love.....so I might try the Christmas Cave this arvie.
-
Kim: LOL! I am thinking the saga is over. :)
Oh, the Christmas Cave. I Love the Christmas Cave. I am a real softie for decorations. Mark won't let me buy any this year as I am not working but a "baby's first Christmas" orni for Katy is a must.....
The overalls I won on Ebay arrived for the girls. They are so cute.
Have a good day.
We're off to to the clinic for a weigh in this morning. It's been three weeks I think so will be interesting to see how much Kaitlyn's put on.
BBL.

Morning Girls!!
Nice and chatty thismorning i see. Last night was AGAIN another shocker. Briley woke up again and again so at 3am i thought i would try and give her a bottle to see if that's why she was waking up. Well she was hungry and was dosing off while i was giving her the bottle but when i put her into her bed she woke back up and this continued till 7.30am. At times i would try to ignore her but she just kept on going!! I am definetely getting me some on the Brauers Calmer stuff Kim reccomended!
Beck - That does sound pretty yuck!! AF late hey!! I don't know wether to be happy or what for you!! Hope it all works out the way you want!! Swimming lessons are a great idea, i really have to get Briley is but cause we live so far out of town its a bit of a hassle. I know what you mean about the babies sleeping better when they are in bed with us. As soon as i bring Briley into bed with us she crashes!! I am really trying to persevre(sp??) with her and leave her in her cot all night so she does'nt get too used to being in bed with us. Good luck with the weigh ins!!
Tania - Your really bummed about having to go back to work hey! I feel for you mate! Im sure you will adjust to it soon enough. How many days a week do you have to work?? Or is it back to f/t??? Sometimes i really REALLY want to go back but then i think of how much i will miss her. Uni will be enough time away next year!! Just think of how much you will appreciate the time you have together so much more!!:)
Kim - Where do you find these 'baby's first christmas" ornaments?? And what is Christmas cave?? Is it a shop down that way?? I have never even heard of either of these things. I wish that i could meet up with someone from BB. I am soooo far away rom all of you guys. I think that Tania and Sheree are the closest to me and they are about 12-13 hours away!! Good luck with the u/s. Keep us posted.
Leanne - Bloody mozzies!! There are a bugger hey. When we were living in the house before this one we never had any screens so i had to put a net over Briley's cot and they would still get in the buggers! She would wake up with red spots all over her face and ears. One time she had about 8 bites on her leg. Poor things can't even shoo them away either. Good luck at the clinic today. Hope Katie is turning into a little "budda" baby for you cause Briley certainly is!!
Vic - What are you up to today?? Everyone else seem to have a jammed packed day except for me and you!!

Had my ultrasound - got it bulk billed too! Gotta love my specialist. The stupid people there reckon the had to tell me it would cost over the phone because they are a private practice Whattha!?
I LOVE little people Vic! They're great toys. Can't wait til Darcy's old enough for them
Yeah Sara that's a shop near us.
-
Well we're back from the clinic and Kaitlyn's only put on 140g in three weeks. The nurse said its okay though. So she's now up to 7.4kg and 66cm long.
Hows everyone else's bubba's doing?
-
Darcy was 6.9kg last week. They start to plateau about now don't they?
Anyone feel like taking my armour and slaying the Dragon tonight? I'm not up to the battle today :sigh:
ETA she screamed and got so worked up she managed to get out from under the sheet and then wouldn't put her feet down so i could tuck it in, so I left her and she went to sleep uncovered. I don't think I'll ever 'get' her.

Ok ladies thanx for all thinking of us, it has been a big couple of weeks, but we are finally seeing sum progress.
So yes we went to hospital and he had blood tests/poo tests/barium swallow - we saw a dietician and a speech pathologist.
The nurses were meant to watch us feed but do you think one did, nope!!! Useless useless useless, but they were nice guess that makes up for it!
So anyway all test results came back that he is really healthy which is the main thing. The barium swallow showed how bad his reflux is which we knew!
So the dietician gave us polyjoule (like a glucose) to put in his bottles to increase his calorie intake and we have to continue with 1 1/4 strength formula.
I have always used slow flow teats in hope that he wouldn't get it too fast and would keep some down, but appears he has adapted himself in such a way that he sucks so so fast and gets alot of wind and that is why he always thought he was full. This is the conclusion of the speech pathologist, which she is kinda right but he still refuses his feeds at times even on the medium flow teats, and been trying a couple of different brands to date also.
But all in all he has been much better still only averaging 700mls a day, somedays he will get up to 760ml and other days he is more around the 600mls per day. He is not as angry with the bottle so guess the teats are to thank for that, so this is huge progress.
Saw the paed today and he just gathers that his problem is that he is still associating his reflux pain to feeding and that medicine way back when (that they mixed up wrong - being white in colour - he has a long memory), did not help. This is when Wade and I noticed all our problems started. Reflux babies are fussy feeders but he is extreme and trying to feed him is just so stressful. But again he is much much better and I am so thankful!
On a really good note he gained 300g in a week (so now weights 5.86kgs), unheard of, a new world record for our boy! So everything we are doing is heading in the right direction. So the paed finally agrees with me that (even thou I am happy he did all the tests just to make sure), that he is not fussed on milk (too smart to remember about that medicine all that time ago), is way too active, throws up heaps and is only drinking just enough to keep him going and not gain any excess weight. I told him all this, lol, but no I am still happy he did the tests. He has now gone back to the 5th percentile and as long as he stays there the doctor is happy.
It was always confusing for me that he was doing so well, was really content and energetic with everything that was going on, but we just have to accept it.
The doctor has finally also given me some meds to stop him throwing up sooo much, finally!!!! As he throws up soooo much I am sure he is just sick of throwing up also.
So all is well here, still a fussy feeder but no way near as bad.
Started him on fair dinkim solids on Monday. Started him on farex a mth ago but he wasn't real interested. Just don't tell my sister the dietician ok, she will give me the big lecture re: allergies and you shouldn't start before 6mths, but she is not a mother and I know what my son needs, I can see a big improvement in him since we started. I have started on pumpkin and sweet potato and apple for desert. Loves apple, so much but not real fussed on the other, been tricking him and putting a little apple in with pumpkin and sweet potato, don't know if I should but hey he eats it. I think the big mistake was when wade's sister gave him apple cause she had made sum first and now he has a sweet tooth, bugger!!!!! We were just happy to get something down at the time, grrr..... if only I had of thought in advance. Oh well!
Developmentally he is rolling from belly to back, more through pure determination as he always hated his tummy so much. I really haven't pushed the tummy time thing as he always screamed! So there you go, I have one determined kid, within 10 seconds he is over. And the other night when from back to belly by accident and straight back again, cheeky little devil.
Also the paed told me today when he saw lachie holding his feet in his hands and pulling them up towards his mouth that that was a 6 month development stage, so he is doing really well, but he has been doing that since he was 4 mths old. He can kind of sit up hunched right forward. Interacting with his toys so much better, more interest and passing from one hand to the other and if he sees one he wants he does what he can to get it on the floor.
So finally one happy mumma here, although he is sleeping terrible at night at the moment, gosh I don't know how you do it Cosmic, boy last night was the worst night we have had with him in soooo long, I could hardly function today. We visited Tania and Jayden today that was really nice and got sum really cool pictures.
Ok better get off to bed I guess, hope everyone is well, I read all the posts last night and then run out of time to post myself.
Will try to keep up from now on.
Oh and before I forget Kim, it would be interesting to see who is more active Darcy or Lachlan, boy I hate to think what he will be like when he is moving around, gosh am I going to loose sum weight! I think I am tired now, boy I am in for a rude shock. I just have fear that he will be running around won't have time to eat and I will be cutting things up in small pieces and shuving bits in his mouth as he runs past - GAWD I HOPE NOT!!!!! Hope things are ok with you and your scan results come back all good.

Ooo I wonder if I can do a really quick post I am sooo tired!!
Leanne: Don’t feel silly about getting it checked out….I would feel even sillier if I didn’t get it checked out and it was CP…I think you did the responsible thing :) YAY for the eBay win!! A small weight gain is still a gain….I think Kim is right my CHN said they plateau around this age…..Kaitlyn is heavier than Jayden LOL he was 6.41kg at his last weigh in last week.
Kim: I hope your enjoying your girls night in! I saw a cute “baby’s 1st xmas” ornament in Target for $20 I am thinking about getting it….But I’ll have to be quick LOL.
Great to hear your U/S was bulk billed but how did you go? Did they say anything about it?
Sara: I’m going back P/T 4hrs a day 5 days a week…..Not my ideal but my job is really F/T so I’m lucky really to be able to go back P/T. Sorry about MSN today too my laptop has almost had it…I really should start using the PC with the new monitor hehe
Sheree: Sorry I missed you again…SIL#1 and niece left when I was talking to you and Nat but SIL#6 ended up staying for dinner so I didn’t get near the computer haha Friday is set then but I’ll chat to you tomorrow.
Jemima: Hi there and welcome to BB and May 06 thread….Its great to have new ppl in here! I hope your little one sleeps well for you tonight! My DS Jayden is sound asleep hopefully until at least 7.30am. A little about myself…..I’m 27 and my DP Chris is 30 we have been together for OMG 9.5 yrs!! We were living in Melbourne (that’s were I am from) and we moved to Bundy about 18mths ago, we bought a house had a baby and now my life is complete LOL well almost. Can’t wait to get to know you!!
Now for us….We had an early start this morning 5.30am!! And my naughty little boy wouldn’t go back to sleep so mummy had to stay up too! Sheree and Lachie came for a visit OMG has Lachie packed on the weight…I nearly dropped him because he is so much heavier than when we visited him in hospital! Sheree I think the photos were great too! And by pure coincidence, Jayden and Lachie were wearing exactly the same shorts and top today…..it made for some gorgeous photos….I will put them up on Jayden’s website in the next few days. I didn’t do much for the rest of the day SIL#1, niece and SIL#6 came over….SIL#6 stayed for dinner and just left about half hour ago. Anyway now I have to crack DP’s back Grrrr…I hate doing it haha
Have a great girls

Wow, it's been aaaages since I've posted in this forum. It's 2.38 as I start this post, so I don't have the energy to get into personals...but
Sheree - great to hear about Lachie, and glad that you have some progress. Must be such a relief.
Jemima - welcome to the May babies. These girls are all really lovely. Glad you can join in!
Leanne - Glad that it's not CP. My husband is allergic to mosquitos. If he gets bitten he welts up (we've even taken him to the hospital in the past). It's kinda funny to see. You should see the fun & games we have in summer when we go to bed and hear the buzzing sounds. He jumps up with magazine in hand and I look out for the blighters! It's only Australian mosquitos that bother him. I reckon they love his Jewish blood! You asked about $5m... If I was to win that much I would pay for all my husbands immediate family to come and visit us (from Israel). If they couldn't all come, then we would go over there for a decent holiday (and a few other countries!). I would buy a bigger house in a better suburb. And I would buy some investment flats/units for future income. I don't think there would be much change left after that.

That's good to hear Vic! Darcy likes sport too....don't know why, Cam and I are definitely not sporty people.
Welcome Jemima.
Sheree, so glad to hear some positives. I won't tell Darcy how light Lachie is, she might get a complex LOL. Great to hear he's putting on weight though. Would be interesting to see them together - might wear each other out.....
We also had a good night last night....she must know when I think I can't take any more. Slept til 2.20 and then back to sleep until 6. However at 2.20 I went in there and couldn't find her until she laughed! She was at the top of the bed! The I couldn't find the wrap either, but she had pushed it right to the bottom of the bed. Funny Kid.
Sold my other bird cage on Ebay! woohoo. Bit sad though cos it was the ****ies cage.

Hi everyone
What sort of day are you all having today? I love Thursdays as we have playgroup in the morning and that keeps my two year old happy which in turn makes me happy and a happy mummy is very important!
Just a bit about me/us - married to DH with two beutiful sons - the oldest is two years and 2 months and the youngest is 5 months (9/5/06).
We tried for quite a while to conceive with no luck - saw many Drs, specialists etc who all quoted "unexplained infertility" as the cause, which was very frustrating as I would almost have rathered there was a name put to why we couldnt get pregnant so we could try fixing it. Anyway we started IVF in 2003 - first attempt I was told I wasnt pregnant and then a day later was told yes you are, but my progesterone level was very very low so they thought it might be ectopic, but it wasnt so they said well maybe this pregnancy is going to be OK, but I miscarried at about 7 weeks.
We tried IVF the following month, with no success which was very depressing especially as I found out I wasnt pregnant on the day of my 30th birthday.
Then wouldnt you know it I got pregnant naturally the following month with my first son. I had a great pregnancy - minor PE but nothing major and he was born naturally - all in all a fantstic experience.
Fell pregnant again with second son - very similar pregnancy and had a great natural/drug free birth. I can say great now but at the time I was thinking oh my ******** what have I done!!
Since DS birth in May we have been on a roller coaster of emotions and stresses as DS has been very very unsettled and we have spent a lot of time with paeds, CAFHS, hosptials to try and work out what is going on. Silent reflux, allergies have all been quoted and we have tried medication for all of these, with little success, but something amazing has started to happen!! Over the past couple of weeks (touch wood) he has started to become a much happier, settled baby and is now sleeping quite well and is now a great feeder! I have my fingers crossed we a re over the worst of it and we can focus on enjoying him.
Well I have gone on for long enough but wanted to introduce myself and tell my story - albeit a condensed version.
Has anyone started their may baby on solids yet? I was only thinking this morning that it wont be too far away for us.
I had best run as they are both asleep and I am going to vege out for a while!!
:)
