I just had the nicest brekkie I've had for ages. Lots of tea and a good laugh.....
Leanne, Darcy LOVES her present. She's just gone for a walk with Cam with it firmly wrapped around her neck....
How's RIley's sleeping going Christine?
Nat have you heard from Sara?
Kim popping over this arvie? Might be going out.
Prob not Leanne. I've just fought for 40 minutes ot get the Dragon to have a sleep so goodness only knows how long she'll sleep for....after eing up since 3 I think i might have rest too
Kim- Riley sleeps sooo well now thanks to Tresillian. he has 2 day sleeps although sometimes he fights the morning one. He usually has 1-2 hours each sleep, when he misses the morning one he will have 3hours in the afternoon and at night he goes down about 7pm and gets up at 7am or later!!! I still can't believe it I am so much happier, although AF came back yesterday and has hit hard so i am a bit low ATM.
Lachlan never catches up during the day you are so lucky Christine, I am lucky to get 2 x 20min naps from him. But most nights he will sleep from 7pm till 6.30am so we are thankful of that atleast. We probably get 3 of these a week. We went to sleep school too and kinda helped, but I guess you can't help a child that is hypa and wants to be awake all the time. He has been so busy lately that we use to put him to bed by 8pm but of late we can't stretch him past 7pm. So he is realising he can't keep going on like a battery anymore. That is his nickname, the everready man!
Katy is great when it comes to sleep.
Has a morning one for about an hour or so and then an arvie one for about 2 hours.
Then will sleep from about 9:00 pm to 6:00 am on weekdays (when I wake her) and later on the weekends. This morning she slept in until 9:30 am.
I think her being at 'school' for five days a week may have something to do with it. She is so busy all day every day by the time it gets to the weekend she, like me, is totally stuffed.
I am so proud of her.
Had a great brekky out this morning. Have felt motivated all day. Was great to catch up with my antenatal mums and not have to worry about Kaitlyn. Would not hav been as relaxing if there were 5 1 year olds taking over the cafe' where we went.
Well, I am off to put on my jarmies, eat some ice cream and get stuck into the ironing.
Have a good one.
So glad to hear Christine. Buggar the AF too.
Leanne I'm with ya on the icecream and jammies thing but SO not the ironing. Mine will walk out soon lol.
Well my normally top little sleeper is having another crappy day and is going to make herself sick soon so better go and check....
leanne - wow katy is a great sleeper, i reckon that 'school' would certainly wear her out, thats a good thing!
kim - i hope Darcy ended up sleeping for you. mmmm fried icecream...i had it for the first time a month ago, i am in love!
Mum took Archie shopping for a couple of hours so DH went a test drove some cars, not to buy just for fun he he. been feeling really tired, nauseaus and like im gonna pass out, dh reckons im up the duff again, but im not so sure, having AF pains this afternoon so who knows whats wrong with me..better go eat something before i feel gross again, hope your enjoying ur weekends
hope every one is having a great weekend i thought i would post seen as this is another thread down geez we can talk when we want to
oh and where is sara ??? hope she is alright
Elissa ~ matey i hope ur up the duff fingers crossed
Oooh Elissa me too! I Hope we can be bell buddies again....
ETA I like to do that with display homes - just look not to buy...hehehe
Off to bed.
Had the icecream - prolly too much. And I bought the full on cream stuff not diet so feel sick. Self inflicted so no sympathy required.
Oh, and got about 4 things ironed and was over it, so put the three baskets full back.
How funny.
Hey girls I am looking for a particular toy for Lachlan that I have seen. I have found something similar on EBAY but to get anyone to freight it to me is impossible. Been searching websites all afternoon, so thought I would run it by you all.
It is a house without a roof and only half walls. The toddler can open the door and walk in. I have seen on EBAY this afternoon a Little Tikes Activity Garden Mail Box that appears it is only on the States EBAY site, so no use to me. And the other one was a Little tikes ZOO, but again on EBAY. Can't find anything like this on the online stores, can anyone help.
OMG where does the time go?? I can’t believe its up to page 9 already!
We have been busy packing and cleaning up the house to be sold. We had the estate agent over last night to look through and discuss when we are putting it on the market. We decided to list it next week or the week after, although he called Chris today and said there is a guy down from Mackay for the weekend and he wants to buy this weekend so he might have a look through tomorrow. The house I want is still there thank god! I think the builder is hanging on to it for us as private sale benefits him of course. I went out to the pub last night with work, Chris sulked a bit I think but he’ll get over it. Jayden woke nice and early for me this morning too……I said to him “See this is why mummy doesn’t go out often” I was sitting on his bedroom floor next to his cot, I felt so sick I couldn’t pick him up for a little bit. A couple of panadol did the trick though. We went to SIL#4’s to get our hair cut and I went to wash of f Chris’s colour and I heard Jayden screaming, I left it as SIL and MIL were both there I thought they could deal with whatever he had done, but then it was hysterical screaming so I went to check him and he had fallen over in their driveway (that pebble mix stuff) and grazed his nose and head, there was blood all over his nose the poor boy! Gave him a bottle and put him down for a sleep and he was fine after that…..it looks horrible though!
Sheree: Sorry can’t help you with those toys, I can’t say I have seen them…..I’ll keep my eye out though.
Elissa: My fingers are crossed that you’re UTD! How fun test driving cars, what cars did you drive? I used Domperidone to boost my milk supply, it works a treat! I went from struggling to express 30ml to HAVING to wake up earlier than Jayden and expressing 150-200ml before I was able to feed him straight after, it was unbelievable.
Christine: Oh no after all that time and AF has returned, what a shocker to your system. I think my first one was pretty bad but has gone back to normal now…maybe even better than before! Great to hear Riley is sleeping better for you.
Jodie: Take care of yourself and make sure you get plenty of rest good to hear you’re feeling better.
Sara: Hope everything is ok hun! Cross those legs and don’t let that baby come out….AND NO MORE DTD!! Hehe
Not sure who brought up the dummy issue but before I had Jayden I was thinking I would only use a dummy if I really had to then it would be gone by 6mths…..When Jayden was 4 days old I started him on the dummy still maintaining that it would be gone at 6mths old. Jayden reached 6mths and he wasn’t ready and neither was I so I said 12mths, now that has come and gone and he is wanting it more than ever ATM, he mainly has it just for sleep but lately he has wanted it on and off during the day. He has aways (from day 1) set his own routine and got himself out of things/habits when he is ready so now I will leave it up to him when he is ready (within reason of course).
Sheree: On the subject of mother’s telling you how much worse kids get, I hated it when I was PG how many mothers (including family) said “Oh you don’t know what you got yourself into” Umm….yes I do that’s why I’m having a baby. Or they’ll say “you life will never be the same” DERRR obviously. I had so many negative comments made to me when I was PG I just thought, why did these pp have children if they are saying how bad they are? I agree each child is different, a friend of mine told me that once Jayden was born that I wouldn’t be able to sit at Gloria Jeans for a coffee because her baby played up heaps when she was first born. I went out with Jayden the day after we got out of hospital and I was rarely home when I was on leave and I never had a problem with Jayden crying while I was out (other than if he was hungry). I have never bagged having baby esp to other mums to be I say nothing but positive things….the closest I get to a neg is I’ll say, Jayden has his moments as all kids do and that’s it. I think I mentioned last night (in my slightly more than tipsy state) how I am still in awe of Jayden and can’t believe he is mine (after 13mths you’d think I’d be over it hehe).
Well that’s enough rambling from me……sorry for those I missed I had so much to catch up on! I have read all the posts. Hopefully it won’t be so long til my next post but it probably will until we buy a new house!
