Sara ~ Glad to hear things are going well. Not long now!!!
Ellissa ~ Def a bummer you’re not coming down! But we’ll catch up one day! Perhaps when you travel into town to have a 4D scan when you’re UTD #2!! ;)
Kim ~ That is fantastic news about DH’s job! And YAY for not having to spend the day with the IL’s!!! At least you have done your tax! I still haven’t got any of my 3 group certificates!!!
Shazz ~ Ohhh how sad!! I have just given all my baby stuff to a good friend that I see lots so at least I’ll see it on another gorgeous bub! But still I get quite sad over it all.
Leanne ~ I just love your enthusiasm for the weekend. I work both days so I’m never really that excited!! OMG @ the length of that lay by line – crazy. The line here wasn’t that big but they didn’t have the no deposit layby like last year. They had the 6 month layby but with a deposit which apparently didn’t please a lot of people. YAY for being an auntie again! I cannot believe that someone made that comment to you. How awful. I agree with what everyone else has said. I don’t technically work full time but he is in care 3 days a week and then I work 11 hours of the weekend when he’s with his nana or dad. Some days I feel awful that I spend so much time away from him as I’m sure you are with Kaity. It doesn’t mean you’re not a full time parent though!!! And what is it with kids and bins!!?? Em has the same fascination!
Jodie ~ Sounds as though you had a busy weekend. Everything sounds so full on for you right now! Its makes me tired just reading! How cute of Shaun with his dummies! GL tomorrow!
Christine ~ YAY for school holidays! You must have loved it!
Sheree ~ Had a look and not to sure yet. I might get it if I can’t get the spiderman playground I think! And bigs hugs to you!! :hugs: You know why ;)
We are doing really well. Still busy busy busy. I’m already looking forward to the Christmas holidays when I have a really long break. Just not sure how long I can keep going at this pace. I can’t remember the last time I spent the week at home! Though in saying that after 3 days at home I’d be clawing to get out hehe. I suppose I’m just a busy person naturally!
Isn’t this just the best age right now? Em is sooooo much fun! He is saying so much now as well. He says “oh look’ and points at stuff. But he says it really high pitched – its hysterical! He really is just a delight right now. He loves his shoes and always wants them on! But HATES being changed and screams blue murder. It would be easy to let him run around naked if it wasn’t so darn cold! Changed my ticker to show his cool little mohawk as well hehe!
Sorry to anyone I have missed. Love to you all!

OMG Nat Em is sooooo cute with that hair!! What a little man, don't they grow up too fast?

Morning girls!
Just poppin in to say hi.
Things are going kinda ok here. Briley is good. Also a bin lover!!! She is sooo naughty about it. You will ask her 10 times to get away from the bin and she will always go back to it! She has been the real farmer lately. She was out in the yard with Daddy again yesterday trimming back the grape vines! You can keep her amused for hours outside but as soon as you bring her back inside the tiredness creeps on in.
We still don't have a date set for the operation on her eye. Not looking forward to the day they do ring and say this is it. I kinda get a really scared feeling whenever i think about it and just try and forget. We still have'nt decided who is going in with her. Everyone (Me, Brent, Mum, MIL) has said they don't really want to go in either as they don't want to see her like that. I think i will just go. As much as i know it will kill me i want me to be the last thing she see's when she goes to sleep. I want to be the one to calm her if she gets scared. Anyhooo...til then.
As for me, well friday things fired up again. Was having pains all day and while i was doing the groceries i felt baby drop and almost pee'd myself!! The contractions then started at about 5.30pm and i was having strong contractions and LOTS of back pain. I really thought something was going to happen as i managed to move my bowels twice in a matter of 20 mins. Things continued up till about 8.00pm and then just stopped! Just like that! Grrrr. I suppose its a good thing as baby gets more time in there.
So then after that, I have severe haemerroids(sp??)!!! Sorry if TMI! I had them with Briley but this is just rediculous. They are really bad. I can't really move around without them hurting. I called the birth suite and they said all i can do is get some cream for it and eat a high fibre diet. I thought that if baby had engagaed that this might be the reason for them but the midwife said not usually.
I decided to try and help things along a bit by taking a long walk around the farm yesterday morning with Brent and Briley (Oh and the 3 dogs, the blind chook and the cat!! :) ) This did nothing but make me feel like i had just ran a marathon. My hips, back and calf muscles where killing me! I also decided to take some of that fruit laxative before bed lastnight and that has'nt even kicked in thismorning! Even after a glass of pear juice. Baby must have decided to stay put!
So here i am 36w 4d and beginning to feel SOOOOO over it all. I am not sure wether to try and gets things happening or just leave it. I have a antental app on wednesday so i will see what Dr says then. Might just keep up with what i am doing now.
Well i am so sorry for the lack of personals girls. I do catch up with what you are all doing and how you are going.
Hope you are all well.
Take Care
Love Sara and Briley!

good to see you still going Sara but i'm feeling your frustration i was induced around where you are now and can remember just feeling helpless like the pain will never end but you are doing great 3 weeks will fly by it will honest ( work with me i'm trying to cheer you up;) )
-
Thanks so much Christine! I think he's just too adorable with that hair as well! They grow up waaaaay too fast! He is such a little man its not funny. If he wasn't so darn cute and entertaining I'd be crying for my baby back lol.
Sara Glad to hear things are going well. Even though I'd be upset I think I'd have to be the one going in with Em if he was in Briley's situation. I'm sure you'll cope fine with it all. Not long to go now!!!
I have dishes to do and a house to clean so I am off to do that!
-
Sara, I don't blame you for being scared about going in with Briley. Jess had to have a closed reduction on her broken wrist at age 11 and I was a mess when she went under, they let me hold her hand until they gave her the gas then I had to leave and i balled my eyes out. When she came to she just wanted DH LOL.
-
evening all gosh it is freezing here in the sunny state WTF i would like to just stay home till spring i think
-
Stay strong Sara, you are doing a brilliant job! Mwah Hope the next few weeks absolutely fly for you.
Shazz - I remember so well when your contractions wouldn't stop. Geez feels like yesterday and our boys are what! More then a year old, OMG!
Nat - oh did you say spiderman cubbyhouse, what did that one look like? And yep I agree they are great fun now, Lachlan doesn't say too much that other people understand but I really do think I hear the same sounds at times and I know what he is trying to say! I really think Lachlan is understanding well, he will come to me and say more, after he has finished a bickie and today I said well get the container, and he went and got it for me. Too cute! Lachlan is the same with the nappy change, he also screams blue murder! What is with that?
Hey Jodie - how did the scan go honey, got your email, I am sure all went ok, pop on and tell us how you went ok.
I think these children of ours are just way too busy these days, no time for nappy changes, don't want to be constrained to a carseat or a highchair, too busy too eat!!! But like I said to Nat, they really are understanding so well, it is unbelievable!
THIS IS A MUST READ - SO SO CUTE!
It was so cute last night when daddy was cooking dinner and I was meant to bath Lachlan, but then the phone rang. So daddy had to stop cooking dinner and bath him. When I got off the phone I went in and took over. There is this set of drawers that I use to leave all his socks, until I got sick of picking them up all over the house! So I have put them in a high drawer now. Anyway I was drying Lachlan and daddy puts a pair of socks in the drawer he can get too and I said what are you doing and he said you will see! Anyway I no sooner put Lachlan down on the ground and he walked over to the draw picked out the socks passed it to me with a ta, dropped to the ground on his bum and lifted his foot for me to put the sock on. How cute is that! This kid loves socks and shoes, which I realise is such a good thing.
We went for a trip to Emerald today (1 hour away) and I was expecting Lachlan to play up (he just hates the car seat these days), but nope he was treasure. Then I had my nail appt at the lady's house and he again was a good boy, just had to keep on passing him biscuits. But then we went to the shops and OMG, he wouldn't eat, squeled and screamed like a pork chop. Then he spotted a car, so he went and got in it. I let him stay for 5 mins and then said, comon we gotta go now. Ohh no bad move mummy. I was carrying down the mall and he was screaming and crying. We got 200m down the mall and I thought he may have forgotten so put him down to walk, nope he turned around and started running back. Little monkey.
They certainly know what they want these days don't they. And gee if they don't get it........
Hey Jodie - how did the scan go honey, got your email, I am sure all went ok, pop on and tell us how you went ok.

Sheree The spiderman cubby had a hut type thing with a slide coming off it and a tunnel going into it and is blue and red obviously ;). I have no idea what it is about the nappy change and the screaming - frustrating though!! Our boys are sooo alike! Emerson loves his shoes and socks and is always carrying them around and plopping on his butt like you said Lachie does! pmsl at him running back to the car! Again Emerson is extremely stubborn like that!!!
Shazz Cold there as well hey? Freezing here!
I'm off to watch my tv shows and eat chocolate mousse hehe!
-
Gee they are both very similar or maybe it is a boy thing or just a toddler thing hehe.
The spiderman one sounds great, did you get it?
Bloomey freezing here too, last 2 nites have been, but then the last 4 nights before that were cold but not freezing as it appears to have gotten again!!!!!! I am sick of the cold. Our split level house that they give us out here, the cold gets up under the floor boards cause it is all open underneath brr....... I am sure that is what makes it really cold for us.
-
Its cold and miserable here today too. Erin and i went and saw Shrek 3 while Riley was at FDC. The shops were packed but the movies weren't too bad.
Riley is impossible to dress or nappy change too he just crawls off really fast, I cant remember the girls being this bad but I may just have forgotten LOL
-
Does he scream and cry thou Christine????
-
Sheree ~ Ryan does that with his socks too oh so very cute tonight he learnt a new one too he used to come a grab you by the shirt or whatever to come with him somewhere usally to get him something but tonight he started saying Mummmmmmmmm and using his little fingers frantically motioning to come here i couldn't stop laughing at him cause it was just to cute which in turn just plain ****sed him off Norty mummy ok off to bed nite every one

Thanks girls for your best wishes for my u/s today.
I was running around like a headless chicken, and Shaun was asleep at the time I was due to leave. So I had to get him up, changed, and have some 'lunch' for him to eat in Ithe car. I ran out of the house and completely forgot to take the video to record the images. D'oh!!
I got a parking spot (one of only two) right out the very front, and made it right on time. The doc was waiting for me, and was really lovely. Thankfully they had a toybox of toys, and Shaun was quite happy to explore those. He was the perfect little boy. rolling cars around, and chatting to himself. I was so proud.
As for the u/s... it went okay... but not perfect. The baby is perfect size, and the heart beat was strong. She counted all it's fingers - and there were 5 on each hand. But she had some concerns with the stomach. It is meant to be round - with some fluid inside. There were a couple of times she was able to capture an image, and the measurement had it the perfect size. But what she didn't tell me until it finished, was that quite a few times the image of the stomach showed it flat... not rounded. She said not to worry, but to come back in 2-3 weeks and she will check it again. So I am rebooked for the 31st July. If she didn't see a round stomach at all - I would be worried. But I'm trying to be calm and not stress over it. We will see what it is like at the end of the month. Baby will be a bit bigger, and I will remember to take a video!
I made a meal planner over the weekend on excel. It goes for 2 weeks and has a simple meal each night - with a shopping list for the menu, and another shopping list for the staple items for the house. I started tonight... and made a stir through pasta (which was yummy!). Anyway... I've never been much of a meal planner person - but after chatting with online friends I realised that I could save so much money by knowing exactly what to purchase each week, and not throwing out loads of food (particularly veges) when I have grand plans to cook up - and end up buying pizzas! If anyway would like me to email my planner - just let me know. I sent it onto another friend, and she loves it, and is just going to adjust it to her tastes & staples.
Sheree... thanks for the email!
Shaun is opposite to Lachie - he HATES socks!! we put them on him - and he pulls them off. He is nearly always in bare feet. And he seems to have fat feet - so finding shoes to fit him is really difficult. I think I will have to take him to a shoe specialist to get some shoes fitted. The only ones he has is elmo slippers - because I can't get his feet into any regular shoes. Lachlan sounds so cute getting his socks and putting his feet in the air... aaawwww..
sorry for lack of personals again. Got a fair bit of work to do, and Yariv stayed up watching the tennis last night - so I barely got any sleep. I'm knackered.
-
Jodie- glad the U/S was sort of OK, I am sure it will be fine they just like to be thorough which is better than not being. Riley is not a sock fan either, he likes to pull them off and chew them LOL.
Sheree- Riley only screams when i force him to lie still to get a nappy on, he regards it as a complete denial of his human rights LOL
Still awful weather here today, Erin is still asleep which is good cause she's been really whingy and wanting constant entertainment (gotta love the holidays!) Not sure what we will do today with bad weather and no money. I don't think I can convince her that housework is fun (I can't convince myself!!)
-
Ok some other funny ones
Every morning I pick him out of the cot. Prior to doing this I say to him ta mummy and he passes me his water bottle and I put it aside. As soon as I pick him up, he put his hand up (palm facing up) and says gone! It is a real Ghhhhh one IFYKIM. It is so funny.
Also this morning as usual he screams blue murder as soon as I pull out the nappy, but I settle him by saying socks, where are you socks and he puts his foot up. Anyway this morning I dressed him, put his socks on and he usually, grips my neck (I call it a big bear hug), cause he wants off, off the change table. Anyway this morning he stood because I pulled him up and he automatically drops to his bum and points to the open cupboard. Yep he wasn't goin anywhere without shoes! This kiddo can be so funny at times.

Just going to start up a new thread ladies ;)
