shazz - i had a textbook pg with Archie, ll pg are so different aren't they, you never know what to expect, i guess thats one of the things that makes pg and birth so amazing.
christine - Archie eats constantly too.
DH is back home YAY! Archie and i picked him up from the airport this morning, arch enjoyed watching te planes come in and got really excited as soon as DH step off the plane, it was very cute. I think arch is over tired now, he is 2 hours overdue for his sleep and is doing the tired noises in bed but wont go to sleep, oh well as long as he's not crying or whinging. Just heard about the polio outbreak in Adelaide, sure makes me extra glad that i vaccinated Archie.

Has anyone tried nipple stimulation to bring on labour???
I have been giving it a go today and it has triggered a few contractions and lots of period type pain. I wonder if its working!
Is this wrong of me to be trying to go into labour already??
Vic - ROFL!!!!! Maybe with this nipple stimulation you might be right!!!

Sara what ever you do dont try castor oil i did big mistake i went into labour 3 weeks before i was due and it was worse then the real thing i had the real bad contractions and diarrhea went to hospital and told them what i had done and they said it was a stupid thing to do and give me sleeping tablets and sent me home .:redface:

Oh Sara hun....well it's cooked so anytime after 36 weeks is term...I have no idea about nipple stimulation I walked a lot, but DH refused to BD the night before i went into labour cos he was worried about the baby lol so I have no idea if that works either....
We went and laybyed all Darcy's stuff for Chrissie today, so that was good. Just waiting for her to wkae to go to Mums.
As for me I want to stamp my foot and have a tantrum. My chart sucks and my body has no idea what it is doing...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry. Needed to let it out.

I have been back at work 6 months and we have not had a day where one of us is not sick.
She just got over conjunctivitis and school sores and now - an ear infection.
I have been having bad headaches most of the week.
Grrr.
Sara you poor love. I am thinking a boy. And I think it will be here come Monday.
We're having a good day today. Did a bit of grocery shopping this morning, now I am just mopping the floors and spot cleaning the carpets. DH is mowing.
We've got a few DVD's to watch tonight and I am almost finished quilting a quilt for my new nephew or neice to be..... Due anytime now. Bit like you Sara.

Morning girls!
Well nothing overly interesting happened overnight. I have noticed that i keep waking up to strong contractions around 3am every night though. Maybe this is a sign!
I am feeling VERY emotional and tired today. I started the day off with an arguement with Brent and ended up crying and now i am finding myself crying for no good reason. My hormones must be running at a million miles an hour. Hopefully its the labour triggering kinda hormones.
Briley is good. Asleep at the moment as she has been outside all morning again. I just want to cuddle and snuggle up to her at the moment but she just finds it irritating. Makes me feel even sookier!
Very quiet in here thismorning. Hope you are all well! Esp Leanne and Shazz!!

So we're better today. I am fine just tired. Was up from 2 - 5 with missy moo this morning. Sooky and pulling at her ears. So I am thinking both ears might be effected.
Any hot tips for constipation for Katy. She was screaming so much this morning it made me cry. Probably TMI but when she did a pooh it was like the diameter of an adult pooh and rock hard. Her poor little bumm.
I ended up taking her in the bath with me to relax her a bit, and gave her some stewed fruit and a bottle of water and put her to bed.
She has not poohed for a few days and her tummy is rock hard.
I thought it might be the antibiotics, but it says on the bottle that it can cause the runs. What the?
Still working on this quilt. Need to have it finished before the baby comes.

leanne ~ my DD had constipation so very bad as a child i had to give her suppositories(sp) it was certainly no picnic i can remember bawling my eyes out it is a horrible thing for them to go through hope she is feeling better soon

Try her on some dried apricots too Leanne they are good. Keep her off bananas as they have a tendency to "bind you up" as my grandma used to say LOL

Hey there ladies! Hope you all had great weekends. I went out to friends house for girls night Saturday night and came home at 3am to find Emerson walking up the hall to greet me :o!!! He barely slept at all and then I had to work all day as well so I'm really tired. he won't be going to CC because he has conjunctivitis which will hopefully clear up soon. His eyes looked terrible tonight but it was more that he was sooooo tired and actually not much junk in them at all.
Did I mention we went to Gumeracha last weekend to the Rocking Horse? They have a free wildlife park and Em loved patting the kangaroos and chasing the animals lol. He kept saying 'oh look' and pointing and getting all excited. He ran everywhere and didn't want to go lol. We are thinking of taking him to the Gorge wildlife park next. I can't wait for the warmer weather so we can start doing more and more outside stuff. Em loves being outside! Its hard doing stuff on weekends when I work both days but hopefully I can get a few half days so we can do some stuff!

Morning All. Was up till 2 with Em!! Just managed to get out of bed now lol. He won't be at CC for 2 days now at least. We have a Dr's appt at 11 to make sure he's alright and doesn't need antibiotics for his conjunctivitis. Lucky it was this week and not next otherwise I'd be missing my first week of lectures!!
I suppose I better go and get dressed for this Dr's appt I suppose. This house looks like a bomb has hit it. *sigh*

Morning girls!
Well i had an interesting night. Was up every 2 hours thirsty as all hell and needing to pee. I went to bed at about 8.45pm and woke up at 9.15pm, 11.15pm, 1.15am and then 3.15am. And ofcourse Briley slept completely through. She woke up once at 9.15pm and slept through till 5.15am when Brent got up and tended to her.
I can't remember if it was like this just before i went into labour with Briley. I think baby might be engaged now. Everytime i woke up for the loo i felt like i was busting but only little bits would come out when i went. And another odd thing was that everytime i emptied my bladder i would get really bad period like pains when i got back into bed. Don't know what that is about.
Brent, Briley and i are going to cut some wood for the fire later on. We are going in his ute which you feel every single bump in so we'll see if that helps. I did'nt like to go in it before as when we finished our ride i would get some serious pains. But now i am almost 38 weeks pains are a good thing!
Brent is TOTALLY avoiding sex with me the sh*t head!! I don't even bother asking him for it now. I only end up feeling hurt and neglected so its best just to not worry about it. I think he is worried he might hit baby on the head or something!! he he!
I will keep you all posted if anything should happen! Hope you are all well.

leanne - hope poor little Katy starts feeling better soon, Archie hasn't been constipated yet but the only things i know to do are drink lots of water, i have coloxyl drops in the medicine cabinet that i bought when i switched arch to formula but didn't end up needing them so i don't know how effective they are. I would go to the chemist and ask them about it.
nat - sounds like Em had a great time at the rocking horse, Arch LOVES being outside so we can't wait for the nicer weather too! Hope Ems eyes are clearing up, it must be hard to get rid of it cause you can't really tell him not to rub his eyes?! Hope he didn't need antibiotics.
sara - it feels horrible when they turn you down doesn't it!
DH has decided to take this week off work so it will be great for us al to spend some quality time together, he is cooking garlic prawns for dinner tonight, mmmmmm. Went to have lunch at a pub with friends and while we were waiting for our meals Arch was running around and the waitress walked over to another table with plates of fisha nd chips, arch ran over to her and stood there watching the people eat and screaming "what is it what is it!!!". the poeple thought he was angry about something so i let them know that he was just very excited about their chips! He then managed to get his head stuck between the stair bannisters........kids..... DH has just gone to the accountants to do the tax so we are very organised this year. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekends and all of you sick people are feeling better.

EllissaYep its a buggar trying to get to keep his hands out of his eyes lol. He had a great time there. We didn't stay long though so we will go back over summer. I have to say that the toys were sooooo expensive. They did have these really cool car and bike rockers though! And massive toy boxes that were actually big wooden trucks. Very cool! Hope you are enjoying some time with DH!
Cold and windy here today. Em is still sick but we managed a sleep in at least. Have been out for coffee and to get my group certificate but have been home this arvo. Dreading the return to uni pace next week but looking forward to sinking my teeth back into it again. I've got Knocked Up here to watch so I might go and watch that I think.

Congrats Leanne!!! Hopefull i will not be too far away.
I am getting some serious irregular contractions today. Pretty painful ones too. I have come to the conculsion that my body does not know what it wants to do. I am so sick of not knowing wether things are starting or not. There has been a definite increase in CM today. Very watery CM too! Sorry if TMI! No bloody show or mucous plug though. Everytime i go to the toilet i scan the toilet paper!
Lots and lots of pelvic pressure tonight. My hips are killing me!!! And tonight i am getting hot flushes!!! Quite odd. I also have a itchy rash on the lower part of my belly. It started on the right side but its not spreading right across. I must ask the Dr about it tomorrow. Hopefully its nothing serious.
I really don't know what the go is with the pain i get after i empty my bladder at night. It is quite painful. I was thinking maybe its my cervix going "ahhhhhhh" after i have taken the weight of it! Don't know.
I am finding that i am much tired now. Lastnight it took 2 really hot showers and a lot of tossing and turning to go to sleep. My body was so uncomfortable. I really hope these are all signs that i don't have far to go! I am getting really excited now. I just can't wait to meet this little person in there.
Enough on me!!
Briley is good. I booked her into daycare for 2 days a week starting next week. I was going to do it after the baby was born but the CC lady thinks it might be better if we start before that way Briley does'nt think that cause the baby is here she is being sent to CC. So she starts next thursday and goes thursday and fridays. I almost cried when i had realised what i had done.
I am very torn about wether to send her or not. I know the break will give me some times to myself and time to do things around here. But i feel bad that i will be at home and she is at CC. If i am at home she should be here with me. I might change my tune once i am busy with her and a new baby!
We have another tooth on the way. Her second top tooth has finally decided to join the party. She has been quite good about it though. We had a bit of a drama with her this afternoon though. She was very grizzly!
Not much else to report. I wish i did have something more exciting to tell!! Soon!!

sara- im sure your body knows exactly what it is doing, its an expert now after Briley, not long now. I understand how you feel about thinking Briley should be at home when you are at home, but im sure she will really enjoy the stimulation of CC, and you will really enjoy some time out with the new bub, look at it this way, by getting the break from Briley thursday and friday, you will appreciate her all the more when she's home!
Archie isn't feling the best today, has had a cough for a few days now but today it really caught up with him, he was buggered and very clingy, he fell asleep very quickly and easily though which is a big plus!(now i've just said that i can hear him coughing......) im thinking hes got a sore throat too as he will chew things up but won't swallow them, luckily i had a jar of baby food in the cupboard for dinner.

definately Sara i aggree with Vic see how she goes i'm sure she will love it even if it takes a month which when you boil it down is a week only going 2 days my sister had terrible trouble putting her children into CC she has swapped CC centres 4 times and i think she will never be happy till she perseveres(sp) through the adjusting period which for some kids can be a while but for other they love it straight away i mean really where else can you go and play all day .. good luck hun and no i don't think you have long to go hang in there

I have read everything and love hearing what you're all up to, but feel bad about not doing personals. Really sorry but will catch up tomorrow I hope (have been waiting to give evidence at court for 2 whole days - now required tomorrow on my day off and we only have one car and dh has to work too ugghh!)

Thanks heaps for the reassurance re: Briley and CC. I went in and saw them thismorning on my way home from town and decided to only have her in there on thursdays until baby is born. Just to see how she goes. I also managed to get a tuesday instead of a friday so if i let her go for 2 days a weeks she will be going tuesdays and thursday. This is much more convenient for me. They CC owner seems very nice.
Just got back from check-up. Everything fine. BP perfect. Baby NOT engaged!! Grrr.
I also just went and brought some last minute things for me and baby. Finally got me a new pair of slippers!!! They are these awesome white Betty Boop ones!!! I did'nt like having to pay $20 for a pair of slippers but they were to good to resist! I also brought a brush and comb set for baby. I did have one from Briley but she has totally distroyed it!
Kim - Don't feel bad about not doing personals!! I have'nt done them in ages. I do feel bad but i can't sit here on this computer for too long otherwise my rib pains kicks in and it really hurts!!

You know thos days when it's propbably better not to get out of bed....I rang the Department of Prosecutions this morning to ascertain a time for me at court. They said after 11am, cool gives me time. The officer in charge then rang just as I took my first sip of tea we need you at 11. What? So then I had to have a shower/wash hair get ready. Drive DH 40minutes out of my way to pick up our second car from the panel shop, drive to court and find a park. But of course I only have enough coins for an hour on the meter. Of course I'm waiting at court for an hour so back i trot to try topping it up - only enough for 1/2hour longer. Get into court and am grilled on irrelevant material - a waste of me as a witness. Had to run back to the car cos DH had to work and I didn't want him dropping Darcy off at ILs. Only to discover the supposedly fixed car has more damage than it started with!
Pick up Darcy. DH is cranky with mucking around. swap the carseat over drive away - I've forgotten my house keys - back to work....OMG!!!
Gave myself Maccas as consolation....

Well my afternoon made up for the day.
Went to do some groceries and as I was walking into the shopping centre an old lady had a huge fall in front of us. We helped and got her a chair, but there were heaps of people so I went and did my shopping.
When I came out again she was still sitting there about an hour later. So, I offered her a lift. She was very doddery. Darcy wasn't so happy about being late for dinner, but the poor old dear would probably still be sitting there....
Oh and like I do every time I eat lots of crap and sugar - my psoriasis goes stupid so I'm back on the good stuff, and I'm actually excited about the lentils soaking downstairs so I can make a soup tomorrow - what a dag...

Tonight Em decided during nappy free time that he wanted to do a no. 2... whilst sitting on a bike :doh: It stank and was everywhere lol. I can still smell it now even though I've cleaned and disinfected!!!!

Morning girls!!
Feeling like absolute sh*t today. I was in excrutiating pain lastnight. My hips,pelvis and back were just throbbing. If Briley did not wake up i think i might have been bed ridden. They are ok thismorning but i am feeling really tired and sick. I woke up feeling nauseous but managed to eat something. To top it off Briley has decided she is going to be a mischeif today.
I really thought maybe something might have started lastnight as i was getting a few good contractions but nothing progressed. I am still getting period like pain now but its not intesifying.
I have just put Briley down for a sleep and i might head off for a while myself.

Just spent $220 on text books :o and now I need to rush around and clean the place. I have managed to book myself for the next 3 days and I'm kind of annoyed at myself because I start back on uni full time mondays and tuesdays next week. So I'm gonna be flat out over the next few days!!!! Oh well. That's why I want to clean today so it stays semi nice lol.
And get this... Em hasn't been in CC all week because he had conjunctivitis. He wasn't sent home with it or anything - I had the sense to keep him home. But they still want a clearance note from the Dr. Now my Dr is fully booked so I now need to go another place just to get a clearance note!!! Arghhh. If I'd just lied and told them he wasn't coming in for the week then I wouldn't have to get one!!!! its a good thing I don't have to pay to see a Dr otherwise I wouldn't be doing it. How frustrating for parents that have to pay $30 to see the Dr each time.
