Elissa - I would have done exactly as you did. And if my child was being a little brat like that - and I didn't know - I wouldn't have an issue with someone telling Shaun off. But the difference between you and me - and that kids mum - is that we do CARE and we teach our kids respect and discipline.
Sheree... hope you're feeling better.
We got an offer on our house for $300k last night - but we knocked it back. Yariv said minimum $310k for an offer. We have to pay $9000 in RE fee's - so we want to come away with $300 in our hand. Real Estate was originally suggesting we would get around $330-$340k... but then he was pushing for us to accept $300 last night. They are so full of sh*t... don't know what to believe. Another home in the area sold for $321k (through them) and it was a basic, unrenovated 3br home without a family room... a 5 minute walk from our home. We have a renovated bathroom & huge kitchen, newly polished floorboards, and a huge family room too.
I was thinking about it last night - and thought... if we didn't sell it... (which I'm still sure we will)... then we would cope with 3 bedrooms - and if possible - we might extend upwards... put another 3 bedrooms up there! Not much fun with two kids though. We'll see what happens.

Stick to your guns Jodie you will get the price you want esp at auction.
Elissa - ohhh well Lachlan doesn't eat enuf really but hey is certainly not lethargic so must be getting his nutrients from the fresh air or something. Will discuss with my paed next appt though.
Now I just went to visit the Midwife. She set alot of things alot straighter in my mind about things. Like... gee have you all got a minute lol.
Basically I have had some pretty serious bleeding and clotting in previous pregnancies. She supports me to go natural this time after a caesar with Lachlan (due to breach presentation) but believes they generally like a 2 year gap but this will be up to my gyno's discretion. See I live quite remotely which is a bit of a concern, but hopefully this is all possible. But if it is not, it is not. I recovered terribly from my caesar too, red profuse bleeding from my wound that I had to have a maternity pad across my front, so if I don't have to have a caesar I won't be! She said there is a very high chance of another reflux bub :-( But see also Lachlan was Cows milk protein intolerant and I believe I did that too him as I consumed ampious amounts of dairy. So I am going to try doing dairy free for a bit and see if I can manage it, worth a try. If can help not passing on something like that to this baby I will do it! And also my iron levels are very low atm anyway and probably why I can't shake this flu, so the dairy may be counteracting my iron absorption. So i will hopefully only have to take a calcium tablet and not an iron tablet, see how I go. All worth a shot, but I have done this dairy thing b4 with lachlan when breastfeeding cause they suspected the cows milk protein intolerance and gee it was hard. Dairy is in everything....... Not sure if this is everything I am on a bit of a high atm, just with having some information just makes me feel like I can be incontrol if want to be. Does that make sense lol.

Sheree: That midwife sounds really good... and I'm glad you're feeling better about the whole situation.
I'm so tired... and it's both physical and mental. I'm not sleeping at night because every time I close my eyes I'm thinking about houses or the business... I'm not much of a stress head, and I haven't cried at all... but I'm really tired.
-
Yeah jodie I am not sure if I explained it very well, but def appreciate her having some empathy and said anytime I need her she is their. If by chance I have another bleed - WHICH I WON'T - she said she would come in the ambulance with me to Emerald an hour away. She just wanted me to know that she is here for me. Funny thing is she is a CHN too and when we arrived Lachlan was seeing her and lets just say I wasn't that impressed with her, she was ok, but guess I just thought she hadn't different opinions. So maybe she is a better midwife then a CHN. Who knows. Guess she has to be very supportive of us women out here seeing as we are so remote. This town I swear has no televisions. Lol.
Forgot to say Jodie :hug::hug::hug::hug:

hey Shazz, how's the reno?
Well at least you know you have an ally Sheree. I'd not heard that about vbacs. I know women that have done them well under 2 years with no trouble. I'm going to go for one, but I don't hold much hope. I'm thinking about a doula though to maximise my chances.
Well our move is all set and I actually won my own job out there today. So that's a bit exciting. It's doing a role I'd never get to do in the city so we're excited.
-
Oh that is great Kim about the job, well done.
And yeah I hadn't heard of that either, I think midwifes have new and old info really and she is a bit old school I think, but definitely prepared to take on board some of what she said just because I want to help this bubba and my thoughts were along those lines anyway.
As for the vbac, it will be up to my gyno really, I think he would be fine with it, if I didn't live so remotely, but I guess we will just see what he says in 6-7 weeks time.
Oh and HI shazz.
Kim just looked at your chart, you definitely ovulated on cd14, how about that! Do you feel ovulation? I feel ovulation across my caesar wound alot these days.
Actually I just went back and looked and was looking at last months, sorry!
-
Well what did you think about this months? I'm feeling really really crampy this last few days. I have never felt that before ever. Do you reckon we missed it?
-
Are you supposed to ovulate at CD14 or can it be earlier? (I am picking your brains so I don't have to post in TTC forum and my SIL see) If you aren't temping can you tell y CM?
-
How long is your cycle?
Yes some people only use cm.
Have a look at the info on the fertility friend website
Who is your SIL? :D
-
lol Reno's get started this weekend Kim thats is if i can move went to the doc this afternoon i have compromised circulation to my right arm/ hand but he seems to think that i have a pinched nerve all i can say is child birth was a breeze compared to this pain i nearly passed out several times and had a constant urge to throw up from pain never in my life have i had any thing like this so i'm all airy fariy drugged up and ready for bed so nighty night sorry no personals i'm so not up for thinking tonight but i do hope you are all well and i'll chat tomorrow hopefully i'll have my wits about me by then ( i have spell checked this a dozen or so times and found mistakes evry time sorry )
-
Awgggh Shazz, hugs, hope u feel better tomorrow
Christine, the general rule of thumb is mid cycle 14 days but everyone is different and some people have longer and shorter cylcles then 28 days too. But I think generally speaking it should be approx 14 days back from the due date of AF - I think that is called the luteal phase. See I ovulated CD16 and had a 28 day cycle when I conceived Lachlan, now my cycles are all over the place like 26-29days but I still seem ovulate on cd16/17.
So you don't feel pains across your wound Kim. I never felt ovulation before having Lachlan. Now your cycle this month is a hardy hey. You have had a peak, but not necessarily a big drop. Is it possible you don't ovulate every month?

Hi girls,
Just thought i would pop in to say that we are home now. Colby's bloody tests came back and showed that her jaundice levels had dropped so the pead said we could go home!! Its soooo good to be back home too.
Colby is really good. She is beautiful and looks very similar to Briley at birth. Colby is much darker featured than Briley was though. I think she is going to be much more like me than Brent. Where as Briley takes after her dad. The breast feeding is going brilliantly. I am so happy that she latched on straight at birth. Not for long with everything the went on though.
Briley has adjusted good. She is a little rough with Colby which is to be expected but gives her kisses and cuddles. She was a little insecure at first and when she saw Brent holding Colby she started bawling her eyes out. I nearly cried too! She is fine now though.
There is so much i want to tell you about but i am still quite tired. I will just make it short and sweet at the moment and fill you all in later on sometime. I will probably get around to doing my birth story later on in the week. We have a busy day planned already tomorrow!
Here a brief on labour, deliver and thereafter!
7.30am - First real contractions started. Coming 1-2 mins apart lasting 1- 1 1/2 mins long.
10.30am - Arrived at hosptial at 9.30am and was checked at now and found to be only 1-2cm dilated! Contractions one on top of the other
12.30pm - Waters still had'nt broken so i asked midwife to break them. Was checked and found to be fully dilated. Waters were broken. Although this sent me back to being 8-9cm dilated as bag of water were holding cervix open a little
2.30pmish - After an eternal wait...finally got the urge to push. Pushed baby out into the world at 2.44pm. Its a GIRL!
Now the trouble starts. I was given the injection to make the placenta come out but it did'nt want too. I started heamoraging(sp??) straight away. Dr's were called in and many efforts were made to massage my tummy and pull the placenta out but it would'nt come. Then the cord snapped after the Dr tried to pull it again. I was then sent to theatre where the placenta was removed surgically. I had lost 1 litre of blood and recieved a blood transfusion early saturday morning.
A very scary experience for all of us. My mum was very upset and a little traumatised i think. I was to out of it to really know what was going on until they took me away from my baby. I cried when i left.
Although a very trumatising experience, i am happy with how the labour and delivery went prior to the drama's. I fullfilled my dream of a natural drug free brith. My baby was very healthy although negleted by the hospital staff a little due to my situation.
Colby has a few follow up issues though. She has a dimple above her bottom which resembles that of signs of spina bifita. She also looks as though she is a little tongue tied. And then the jaundice. All not serious. An ultrasound was done a couple of days ago on her back and it all looks good. She has to go back in 6-12 months to have it re-checked though.
Ok this has turned into a massive post. I am tired now!! There are a few other bits and peieces but you will read all that in my birth story!
I did manage to have a quick squiz at all the posts. Can't really remember them now though. Sorry!
I am off to empty my MASSIVE boobs. And enjoy my new baby girl. I can't belive i have 2 girls! Amazing.
Hope you are all well.
Talk soon. Take Care.
-
welcome home sara we missed you glad everything is great enh=joy your beautiful girls
-
hey sara the dimple is it a long narrow hole? My niece has that and she is fine. So if she has a tongue tie, how come she can feed so well? She must be a champ!
-
Hi Sheree!
Nah no hole. The dr called it a fawn tail i think. Plus she is quite hairy down there too. Thing is i have the same thing. As did Briley. I hate to say it, but i have a hairy crack to. So the poor girls must have inherited it from me!!
The tounge tie is only a small one i think. Does'nt effect her feeding one bit though!!!
Awwww Shazz! Its good to be back mate! I having been thinking about posting on here the whole time i was away!
Well as you can probably see i just updated my ticker so there is the first real pics of her for you! When i get a chance i will download a heap of my camera and email them around.
I am off to bed now girls. Oh to sleep in MY bed....ahhhhhhhhh.
Ni night girls!
