Hi Shazz, yep we are going away to Mackay 3 hours away as a family. What tha.... hehe. Yeah we have organised a junior to open the shop on Sunday so that is the only we could do it. We leave Saturday straight after the shop closes and come back Sunday arvo. It is my mum's 50th Birthday so we are going to surprise her. I have such a young mum.
Elissa - wow a whole bowl. I am so envious of these kids that eat so well and without fuss. Is he a big boy? Yes the cuddles are to die for these days huh. I am finding lachlan is doing less and less cuddles atm, just way too busy again. But from my m/c till now yes he has given me the most beautiful cuddles. Gosh drooling that much huh. I found Lachlan drooled from 9-12 months with teeth and hasn't drooled at all since and he have got 3 more teef since then.
You will be proud of me, I didn't drink a drop last night! Yep you heard it didn't crack open the bottle at all. I had so many things to do and get done before we go away, hence being up till 2am. This god dam paperwork is never bloomey ending.
-
shazz - no fun weekend plans here, DH is working all night tonight and tomorrow night, then works the public holiday monday as well, good monet though. What are ur plans??
sheree - It is great having a toddler who will eat just about anything and in such large quantities, yeah is a big boy now. For the first 12 months of his life he was under the 50 centile but when i weighed and measuered him at 14 months he was over the 90 centile ont he charts, thats why he is such a guts i guess, when people pick him up they always struggle cause he doesn't look 14kgs! So much drool all the time is very anoying and produces plenty of washing, he has been a huge drooler since a couple of months old cause of reflux so im used to it, he has drooled a lot less in the last few months though. he was upset goig to bed tonight so i rubbed some sedalotion on his gums and he has gone to sleep. DO you reckon Lachlan could sense that you were needing the extra cuddles lately?? When i wasn't well a few weeks ago Archie was an angel to me, they are smart little things! Your weekend sounds awfully busy! Will be good to see your mum though wont it. My mum is young too i like it, we used tohit the town together on occasion, she was 22 when she had me.
Went to an Undercover Wear party at my sisters place last night, mum was really lovely and offered to babysit so i could go. I had a ball there and bought a cute pair of satin pjs for me and a penguin toy box/laundry hamper thingy for Arch's bedroom. they have so much nice stuff. Funny thing happened though i think i gave the Undercover Wear woman a lesson! She had a lady with her who was learning the ropes so i let them do my measurements as a practice for her. They told me i was a 16C, WTF, i am a 14F! She was adament that she had been doing this for many years and knew how to measure properly, i explained that i get professionally fitted for a bra every 6 months or so but she wouldn't believe my boobs were that big. So she hands me a 16C to try on (i am laughing as i type). I go and TRY to put this tiny bra on and yelled out to her to have a look, she came in and her jaw nearly hit the ground, she was speechless! the bra looked like one of those tiny bikini tops with the little triangle pieces that go over your nipples, i couldn't even get the straps over my shoulders. She absolutely couldn't believe how wrong she was, she told me i must be wearing a miracle bra cause no way did my boobs look that big when i was dressed. We all had a good laugh about it, but i reckon she'll think twice before she reccomends someone a bra size! Woohoo on my Triumph minimiser bra!!
-
no plans here till next week then watch out i am spring cleaning sounds like fun huh
-
No major plans for the weekend but just glad to be on school holidays!!! I am aiming to clean the house thoroughly and do heaps of culling of cr@p these hols but we'll see!! (i always start out with good intentions!)
Riley is a big eater too Elissa, he eats more than Erin! I desperately need new bras I am still wearing maternity ones and Riley stopped feeding a month ago, I don't think I can match you for size though LOL I get excited when I am an unpadded B cup LOL I think I need to get properly fitted cause its been ages since I have been and I have had a baby since then. Jess has all these gorgeous little bras but they are 10As so nowhere near fitting my fatness!!!
Erin and I are planning a trip to the movies while Riley is at FDC on Tuesday, we are trying to decide whether to see Ratatouille or Surfs Up (I can't wait to see a grown up movies one day LOL)
-
Elissa - I didn't realise drooling was from Reflux. Yeah my mum is young, she had me when she was 18. Can't say we are close though, but that is a whole different story, had quite a few issues with my family. Wow 14kgs and my boy is 9kgs, hehe that shows you how big an eater your boy is and how little an eater mine is. Too funny about the bra. Gosh and F hey, and I complain about being a D, they are annoying to me.
Christine - culling hey, wouldn't it be nice. Enjoy the movie.
Shazz - you wanna come and spring clean my house when you are finished LOL.

What would you do ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
we had a bit of an issue the last day of term where my DS took money to school instead of his lunch ( on DH ok Cause Dh wouldn't know if tuck shop was on or not any given week ) so any way i happen to do relief work at the shop across the road from the school it was lunch time and another mum from our classroom came in and said in a bit of a sarcastic way that she was there to to buy a hot dog and drink to feed my son cause i obvisously didn't care what he ate (wtf) so she told me that story of bringing money instead of food and i said he probably would have a packet of bickies or apple or something in his bag from yesterdays lunch and she brought his hot dog and left so when i got home there was 2 messages from the school so being the last day i thought i would go and pick the kids up early and found my DS very upset in the playground apparently the hot dog that was brought for him ( with his own money ) was put on the teachers table and he was told that because he lied about not having food he would have to wait to get his hotdog then they made him sit there to smell it (their words) after 25 mins which is the time allocated to eat they told him to eat the hot dog stone cold which my DS said made him feel sick in his tummy they laughed at him and made him eat it threatening him with not being allowed to do science experiments later in the day well he became hysterical because the hotdog was unetible (sp) he was crying and that is when they tried calling me (their words - we don't have to put up with that and we won't ) though they caused it in the first place if they had of called my mobile or his dads mobile we would have brought him lunch instead of this dispicable behaviour from grown ups - i'm not saying my Ds was in the right 100 percent but gees his is 9 for gosh sake my DH is so angry and i'm really dreading the start of the next term what would you do please any advice this is just an added stress i really don't need right now
and thanks if you got right though this well done
-
Far out Shazz thats awful, we have made kids lunch from stuff we have in the staffroom before when they haven't had lunch or we have rung their mum's mobiles or got them to share if they have a sibling at the school with lunch. I would double check exactly what they said to your son (not doubting him in any way but just be absolutely sure before you do anything) I would then write to the principal and tell him that you are prepared to take it further if you aren't satisfied. If you want to do something before term goes back i would write to your district office (not sure of your heirachy in QLD) I am appalled that other teachers would do this to a child, it makes me embarrassed to be a teacher.
-
I can't wait till things are back to normal and i can keep up with the posts!
Firstly.....Shazz: That is unbelievable behaviour from a teacher! I would be fuming and wouldn't be waiting until next term to do something. I agree with Christine though, double check what exactly was said!
I went for a fly in a Jabiru plane today, Chris works there and he went up a few weeks ago and felt really sick as the pilot (his mate) was doing hte final tests on the plane and has to stall and drop the plane at different speeds and angles etc.....well I told him he was weak and i wouldn't have such a weak stomach, so today i had to proove myself. We did a couple of barrel rolls, 2 stalls and flew along the coast...so close to the water i could have thrown a fishing line from the plane.....It was unbelievable fun, but i did feel a little sick toward the end (Shhh don't tell Chris). I took aerial shots of our new house, although I needed the bigger lens and took pics of the beach and parts of Bundy. Next time i go I'll take the other lens and get better shots though, maybe a vid cam to capture the barrel rolls haha. Some woman there offered to take Chris and Jayden up (her plane was a 4 seater, the one I was on was 2 seater)....Luckily Chris had the sense to say no! So Jayden played in the planes that were on the ground.
We may be able to move into our new house friday as long as the money goes through in time, we have been offically approved for our loan though and have signed the papers, so the house is definately 100% ours. Sara, I had another look at the square sinks on Thursday and yeah, not sure how they will go...they are very small (not that you need a big sink) but they definitely suit the house though. I am so in love with the kitchen....I am so excited about moving in!
I better go finish the washing.....all my excitment today I forgot all about it!
Sorry for the lack of posts yet again....I am thinking of you all!
xxxxxxx

OMG i can't believe i forgot to mention......
SIL#5 (the one that had a hard time falling PG, failed IVF attempts & egg donations etc) Had a healthy baby BOY on Wednesday weighing 7lb12oz, they said before he was born he will struggle to be 3kg. She is also the only sister to have a natural birth, so all my other SIL's who have had babies are very jealous. Mum and baby are doing well but struggling to feed ATM.
Also my friends baby that had fluid on the lungs at birth is doing really well, although he has already has conjuctivitis and a cold in his short 2 weeks of life. And my nephew in melb is doing well too (so i hear) who is also 2 weeks old now....too many babies! Hehe
-
Thanks Christine it is just so hard i don't want to do anything if he is going to be subjected to more bullying from the very people that are a supposed to protect him in my absence i did speak to the mum that brought the food from the shop and she has verified that what Ds told me was correct and then she said about 20 times that she was sorry cause if she had of said he may of had food from yesterday in his bag etc but then again i was the one who siad that to her so i feel quite guilty myself for Ds having to go through that i must say it was a hard lesson to learn i bet he'll never want tuck shop again
and ETA yay on the house Tania and your baver then i i don't think i 'll ever fly i'm a scaredy cat
-
What a crock SHazz! They're supposed to be teaching our children!? I'd complain to the state education dept! That made me so angry!!!!!
Yay Tania on your new house. I must have missed the photos....I couldn't have a look could I? I love flying too!
Christine, how's Erin's friend?
Nat how's the move going? I's Em better?
Jodie, not long to go now.....hope the move goes smoothly.
Sheree so glad to hear about your sister's bub.
Hi Vic, Leanne, Sara.
Anyone want to help me pack? I'm feeling hit by a truck (Shazz have a looky at my chart), and Cyclone Darcy is way overtired from all our social commitments recently. Add in the new bed which sha can get out of, but won't sleep in the cot and I'm massively sleep deprived again. Getting really nervous now as Cam gos Satuday....
-
Shazz: Good luck with happens with DS, what a terrible situation but you'll get through it (& DS will too). I thought I would be a bit scared, although I have never been scared of flying Jabiru's are a LOT smaller than what I have ever been on.
Kim: Good luck with the move! I'll be doing the same thing in a week or so....just not anywhere near as far! If you go to realestate.com.au and the property # is 104222019. Darcy will get used to her bed.....does she go to your room or just cry out? One of the kids at FDC has a gate on her door so they can keep her door open of a night to hear if she wakes up but also she can't roam around the house by herself while they are asleep. If Darcy just gets up and plays, least she won't wake you up and you know she will be safe in her room....in time she will learn to sleep through the night. When we get a bed for Jayden I think I will get a gate for his door, i know he won't stay in his room hehe.
OMG its 6pm already!! I better think about dinner! 2 posts in 2 days......I'm doing well LOL
-
good to hear from you Kim bugger i hope Darcy starts giving mum a break soon we are thinking about putting Ryan in a bed but he doesn't mind gioing to the cot he knows it is definately bed time
looked at your chart looking good a definate thermal shift you've had a dip at 4DPO and a rise my fingers toes and any thing else i can cross is crossed for you guys and i'd love to help you pack bit far to go though
-
I don't agree with that Shazz either, I would be complaining.
Hi Tania, long time no see. Hope your move goes well.
Kim - Gosh I dread the day I put lachlan in a bed, I feel it is a long way off for us. He moves way too much in his cot and would def fall out even with those rails. Bugger the transition hey, always going to be hard huh. Hope your move goes well too, and would love to help if you would pay for the plain flight hehe.
Sorry not sure who else posted now, we have just got back from our weekend away and remind me never to go further then 3hours with a toddler. I generally do this by myself, but after yesterday and todays effort and Wade was with me, I am not doing this again. We are buying a double dvd player for the car seat for my next trip in November.
-
Kim- Erin and i can come and help you any day!!
-
ok girls off to bed i am so tired i barely function nigh nigh
-
aaggh buggar Christine I'd so rather have you and Erin help! Wish I hadn't organised my aunt and uncle tomorrow to come over!!! poo poo poo!
-
kim - i have everything crossed for you! GL with the packing, wish i was closer so i could lend a hand, hope you and Darcy get some decent sleep soon.
shazz - it made me feel sicj reading what ur DS had to go through at school, sure he may not have done the right thing regarding his lunch but was it really that important that he get punished for it like that to learn his lesson?! I hope you get it sorted and he doesn't recieve similar treatment in the furture.
Sheree - i found it funny reading that you will never do more than a 3 hour drive with a toddler, we went to victoria on Saturday night which is a 3 hour trip and he way home was very stressful and LONG, definately wont be travelling with him to Adelaide (5 hours) anytime soon! i reckon we'll be investing in a portable DVD player in the not too distant future too.
We went to victoria to stay with family on Saturday night. It was great to see everyone and get out of the house for a night, Archie had a wonderful time playing with his 2.5 year old cousin Connor, he was calling him "nonna" the whole time. He is really starting to string words tgether now like he grabbed his Nanna and said "nanna mower" cause he wanted to show her the toy mower. he also said "top nonna" (stop Connor) when Connor stole teddy, and when i told him he couldn't have a banana he looked at Poppy and said "Poppy nana?". Wont be long and he will be full on talking, my baby is fast disappearing!
Sounds like anxiety is a family problem, found out my Nan, Auntie and cousin have all been diagnosed with anxiety recently, and i have no doubt that Archie will follow in our footsteps which makes me feel pretty awful, he seems to be quite anxious at times, oh well i guess there will always be something undesirable that we will unwillingly pass on to the next generation.
Sounds like there might be a new baby in the family fairly soon, my aunt and uncle are going to try for #3, they have 2 boys and would dearly love a girl so fingers crossed for them!
-
Wow archie is clever Elissa. Lachlan more copies what we say, a real parrot! Yeah we have been looking at a dvd player for a while now, but I think daddy realised how desperate I am for one now seeing as I do many 3 hour trips by myself these days. I tell ya what though, he has a hollow stomach when it comes to biscuits/chips. That is one saving grace, but I had to draw the line and say no more. If you handed him anything else he doesn't want a bar of it! Even if he has a full tummy he will still say yes to chips/biscuits. It is so funny he shakes his head for a "NO" now and it is not on the head it is the whole head shoulder shake with that beloved FROWN! And pushes the hand up to stop the spoon from entering his mouth, little monkey.......
-
sheree, lol at lachlan's No's, they do everything full body now dont thye so cute! Archie will eats hot chips pizza, grapes or bananas til he burst! It must be really hard taking a 3 hour trip by yourself, it is hard enough with someone to try and entertain, you must go mad trying to drive and entertain. We have thought about getting a DVD player for the car but not really sure if Archie would enjoy watching it for any length of time?? Probably watch it more when he is over 2 i reckon, never know though, its worth a try if your doing the trips youself!
Every morning for last few months Archie eats a banana as soon as he gets up in the morning, this morning there were no bananas, i gave him a big bowl of grapes and he was happy with those, but a few hours later we were reading a book and on one page there is a monkey eating bananas, well that was it, he ran into the kitchen "nana? nana? nana?" he was heart broken when i told him there were no bananas left!! mean mummy, i think thats the very first time i havent been organised since he was born, ive always had to make sure we had formula/clean bottles, bananas, bread, milk, etc, so it was kinda a good feeling to know that i could forget about being organised for a 24 hours and Archie would still survive, he must be getting older, woohoo!!
-
Whahoooo Elissa. I am the same these days, now I don't have to give medicine 6 times a day and no formula, I just make sure I have milk, bread and baby cereal in the cupboard and I am set. Like last night, we got back we weren't cooking, mmmmmm.... what to give Lachlan, bit of cheese, yoghurt, bread. Easily pleased and I am so slack these days.
Lachlan loves stickers on his hands atm, he pinches his skin now even if there are none on his hands. He says ticker, ticker. So cute.
Oh and forgot to mention, he pinches me too.... ouch!
-
evening all gees it is quite in here i feel really lonely
-
We have been chatting all day Shazz, well Elissa and I have been hehe. How r you?
-
Time to catch up on some personals!
Sheree Glad its not just me with the sleeping in thing though I got up before 8 today lol. 35 degrees you lucky thing! I think its gonna be 28 here tomorrow YAY! Whoo hoo for the double DVD player!!!! That should make things easier!
Kim Has Kam gone now? Hows that packing going? I am stalking your chart but I have no idea what it means haha!
Vic Where are ya? I miss ya mate!
Ellissa LOL @ the lady from the Undercover party! Sounds like you got some nice stuff! Victoria sounds like a lovely night away for you. Hopefully the anxiety won’t be passed to Archie. I’m sure if you’re aware of it and handling your own issues it will go a long way to helping any that Archie may or may not have :hugs: We rarely run out of bananas here because Em loves them too!
Christine Have fun at the movies! I am gonna do a massive cull and organize over the Christmas holidays. I’m sorting out all my storage issues. Sadly enough I’m so excited about it. I’m going to get shoe boxes, bag holders, the little step things for the pantry LOL. I can’t wait!
Shazz How’d the spring cleaning go? That is just awful about you DS. I wouldn’t be happy with that at all. :( How is Ryan feeling now? Don’t feel too lonely lol!
Tania Missing you heaps too sweets! Will be great to have you back regularly! YAY for moving into the new place! WOW at your place ride. That sounds so exciting!!! Congrats to your SIL and your friend! How exciting for them both!
Hmmmm packing… I should be doing some but haven’t done a thing. It’s a good thing I have a few weeks to move and I’m moving 5 mins away haha! Would update you more on us but Cali fornication is starting so will be back after that!
-
Nat - with the fans not working in the kitchen and no a/c in the lounge, it is getting rather hot here. Not looking forward to summer, I now understand why people hybernate in their houses now. Come back and update us on you, we miss you. Guess you are not moderating much these days either huh?
Oh and forgot to say, a 9am start for me today, gosh I am a shocker!
Got a bumper for Lachlan's cot finally, how do you get it to stay up well, I tied it at the top and Lachlan just pulls it down. Gosh I hope this wasn't a waste of money?????
-
Not much moderating no Sheree. I figure I have 5 weeks left and then time to re-organize. Can't wait to get all my storage sorted etc. I am sure that next year I'll be sooo much better at time management and have a better idea of what to expect. Also the assignments etc should get easier. I keep forgetting that its the first time I've studied properly in 6 years.
Did you try double knots? Little Velcro dots?? Hmmmmm...
-
Yeah Nat even with us in the Newsagency with time it gets easier I guess and next year we will know what to expect too. Part and parcel of life isn't it? It had been 12 years for me when I started uni and OMG I really struggled.
Aggh ok, double knots won't work it will still slide, might try putting some extra ties on their, ohhh i don't know!!!!!!!!!!!
-
sheree - it sure is great to be able to be a bit relaxed about food and meds now. Lachlan is clever saying sticker! Archie hasn't ever had a sticker but at the end of a kindergym session the teacher gives them a stamp on each hand, he is always the first to the deska nd puts his hands up waiting for the stamp. You finally found a bumper, was it the one you wanted? I have no idea how to keep it up, hopefully the novelty will wear off soona nd Lachlan will leave it alone
shazz - you always seem to pop in at the wrong time lately! Or maybe we pop in at the wrong time......who knows he he.
nat - oh thankyou so much for the hug, made me feel all warm and fuzzy. It must be annoying havig to pack everything up just to move 5 mins away, bet you're excited to get in there though! i haven't watched Cali fornication yet, i keep forgetting its on, the ads look good though.
We were up with DH again this morning at 6:30! Not impressed im telling you now, it is just too early for Archie and he has been all sooky and tired. It is really loud when DH gets ready for work but Archie used to sleep through it, i think cause it si now daylight at that time he is gonna keep gettting up, at least he only does day shift every 3 weeks.
-
Bugger about Archie getting up early Elissa.
-
morning all the spring cleaning is going all pear shaped becuase i live with lazy little piggy's but i have the whip out today ...
-
-
Hi girls,
Been MIA a bit in here lately. I've got a cousin from Adelaide staying with us at the moment. Her and her b/f moved up here and needed somewhere to stay until they got jobs and a place to live. So i have been helping them out with job searching etc etc.
If i get a chance later on i will pop back on and do personals.
Not much report at the moment. We are all good.
Hope you are all well.
-
shazz - Hope you didn't have to use the whip too often today!
sara - hope you are enjoying the extra company and not getting stressed by a house full of people.
Archie just flaked it in a matter of seconds, usually takes him at least 45 mins to get to sleep, i think the last few days of less than normal sleep have caught up with him. He came up to me tonight and whispered "i u ooo" in my ear, how cute is that!!
We have my family reunion the first weekend in November and the thoght of it scares the heck out of me. i am really excited to see family members i haven't seen in probably 10 years, but it is a 4+ hours drive there and we are staying in a dorm room, i think not being able to see where we are staying freaks me out cause i dont fully know what to expect, i like to plan for any event that could possibly happen. We are gonna hopefully buy a portable DVD player for the journey cause Arch drove us mental on the weekend in the car on a 3 hour trip. Gosh i am such a control freak aren't i?! I am just praying that Archie will sleep okay there, 99% sure he wont though, maybe all the other littlies will wear him out enough to sleep okay though.....
-
Gee he must have been tired Elissa.
You are not a control freak, just a women I say! Did Archie sleep much in the car the other day, we got 15mins out of Lachlan on the way and 30mins on the way home. Why don't they sleep in the car anymore. I use to get atleast an hour out of him in that 3.25hour trip. Definitely getting a dvd player I reackon. We are getting the two screen one, so that I have a 2nd screen for the next baby.
What do you think he was saying in your ear? How cute.
Lachlan would not eat at all 2nite, I got so mad at him, as he is going thru this stage where he will forcefully hold my hand back and shake his head furiously like it is going to fall off! Wade saw how bad he was, but I was a mean mum and said you don't get desert then! I just feel like we give in to him way too often, but Wade still wanted too, but I had my grumpy pants on and said NO! Anyway he was whinging from then on in and was crying even in the bath and that is not like him. He was shivering in the bath and that doesn't happen either. Wade brought him to me and he was really sooky. Just hugged me and hugged me, and he never does that epecially when I am sitting on the lounge, he just wants to normally go and play. If i ever get hugs it is always when I am standing up, never when I sit down and he just hugged me for a good 5-10mins. We gave him some panadol and nurofen and some teething tablets and he was a bit better. He hasn't been sleeping in the afternoons, he goes in there and drinks his water bottle, but I am 99% sure he doesn't sleep, so maybe he is tired or maybe it is just teeth. I know he has had huge lumps in his mouth around the spot of the molars I think, so maybe that is it........ Guess we will see what sort of a night we have now huh.
-
Hi gals.
Just popping in quickly before I hit the hay. I have been reading all of your posts, boy you know how to chat ladies! Wish I had more time to get on here ...
We've all been pretty well this last week (touch wood). Three out of four of Katy's molars have cracked through in the last few weeks, so that explains ALOT regarding her moods etc. We had a monster pooh tonight (TMI I know!!), and she's finally settled after being naughty all night. What a night!
Thinking of you all and sending you all big :hugs: and more :hugs:
Nite :bedtime:
-
good to hear from you leanne
forgot to say i got my hair done today i feel kinda glam i have to go back in the mornign to have my eyelashes tinted i have never had this done before so i'm kinda nervous
-
Hi leanne - must be molar time for all our kiddies huh.
Wow shazz - whahoo..... you must feel really nice, nothing better!
-
Shazz- eyelash tint is great!!! It doesn't hurt unless they stuff up and then it just stings a little but it looks so great you'll wish you'd done it earlier.
-
lol now i want my nails done oh and lets see what else hmmmmm i love being pampered
