Yea try putting him to bed early Sheree. I have found that as Em dropped his second sleep he wanted dinner earlier and earlier. He know has it at about 5ish each night.
Christine that sounds lovely! I love getting my nails done and stuff! I have a voucher for a pedicure that I can't wait to use!!
Well I am procrastinating lol. I have done no reading but the house is clean, the washing is sorted and is my internet. About to load up the car with the first lot of stuff to take to the new place!

WEll Lachlan went to daycare this morning from 9am to 1pm. We have had two weeks off because the daycare centre closes over the school holidays. Anyway he wouldn't eat for them either..... This term they are starting play outside because it is warmer now. Think they must have worn him out, especially now he is full blown walking. Last term they always played inside as it was too cold. So the term before that he was only just starting to walk by the end of it. Anyways as I was saying they must have worn him out cause I brought him home and put him to bed at about 1.45pm and he has only just woken up at 4.15pm. That is such a long sleep for him, just huge! I kept going in and checking on him and he had his bottle in his mouth with his eyes shut. He was in different positions everytime I went in. So today hopefully he will be really refreshed for this yummy dinner I have made him, if not I GIVE UP! He goes to Daycare on Wednesday too, so i am thinking i will start to set up this one sleep a day routine on Thursday and I will have till Sunday to get ontop of it. Even when he is a daycare it will be the same principle he will just be going to bed a bit later again. So still deciding on what time to put him down on Thursday. Nat you said 11.30pm, what does everyone else do? I am guessing you guys have been on one sleep for a while now huh? We must be slow, but it has worked well for me till now.
-
Ohh and I forgot to say that our dvd stuffed up yesterday and that was part of our problem yesterday with Lachlan, he loves elmo and we just couldn't keep him amused enuf without a little elmo and wiggles to spice up the day. Today, daddy went and bought a new one, gosh they are so cheap now atleast a couple of hundred dollars cheaper then when bought this one that is stuffed. Daddy had it installed at lunch time, he must have been desperate!! lol.
-
Riley goes to bed at about 11.30 as well Sheree.
-
Sheree Fingers crossed he loves his dinner tonight! Sheree it normally is 11.30 but sometimes closer to 12.30. It just really depends on the day and when he wakes in the morning. I am not really to strict with times. I would die without my DVD player as well!!!! I saw the cutest pair of Elmo PJ's at Big W that I'm going to get Em! Just yesterday he was watching Elmo in Grouchland for the first time and he loved it!
Okay I have my taste for moving now! Took my first load over and I can't wait to do more! Its gonna be so great when I'm there!! We have just finished dinner here - quiche, vegetables and pasta mmmmm. Time for a clean up and then quiet time in the lounge room watching tele!
-
Thanks girls. Now to stretch him out that long!
Lachlan would not eat my food!!!!!!!!! Grrr..... what to do now!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is the only way we get lachlan to sit still Nat is to put the wiggles or elmo on.
Dinner sounds nice. Hope you have a good night.
-
Em decided he didn't want quiet time lol. He is currently destroying his play room instead! Oh well might go and set my self up in front of the tele too!
What foods does he eat Sheree? It must be so hard for you :(
-
Not much it appears Nat. Custard and yoghurt, ham sticks, jelled fruit and bread are generally winners but everything else is touch and go, he wants a taste and that is about it!!!!! Ohhh and he would eat chippies and bickies till the cows come home.

I'm going to admit right here that I've not ready any of our may baby posts for ages... like well over a week. And right now, I'm too exhausted to go back over it all. But I promise... when the dust settles around here - I am going to go back and read up on what's been happening with all of you.
So I'm just doing a quick post to let you know what is happening with me:
- we settle on both of our houses on Wednesday.... although we got early access to our purchased house.
- we ripped out the kitchen, and at the moment I have cabinets; but no doors, not benchtop & no flooring
- floorboards were all repolished and look a treat
- we hired two Israeli travellers to paint the skirting and door/window frames; but they got more paint on our newly polished floorboards :(
- I have been working at the salon on Thursdays & Saturdays for the last 5 weeks. Finally did my final shift on Saturday.
- had a 4D scan done on the baby, and all is looking good. looks like a chubby baby.
- got an offer of $75,000 on my salon, which I am gladly accepting! Settlement on the 1st november which is also great.
- started moving house on Saturday afternoon. Yariv & the two travellers went nuts and moved 99% of the house in 6 hours. they just had a large ute type of van, so they made about 8 trips between the two houses. Shaun slept at my parents place, and yariv & I slept at the new house on Sat night.
- finished moving the furniture on Sunday. Went back to the old house tonight to pick up the last of stuff. Cleaner coming tomorrow to give it a good clean.
- saw my mum last Monday (first time in 8 years). She wasn't as painful as I expected her to be. Although 2 hours was more then enough time with her.
- trying to get Shaun to sleep in his car bed. Tried last night, which didn't work. So he slept in his cot. But in the morning he woke at 6am, and he & I slept together in his car bed. I snuck out around 9am, and he eventually got up and looked sooooo happy that he was able to get out of bed by himself and walk through the house.
Well... talking of Shaun... he's crying. So I better go and settle him down.
Then I have to attempt to unpack a few boxes, or clean out cupboards which have a layer of dust (from the floorboard polishing). Will catch up with you all soon.

Evening ladies,
Well again i have left it too late to post and i am becoming delirious. So i am going to give personals a miss tonight. I have read everyones posts so i know how you are all going.
We have had a big day of things today. Briley has turned into this little girl overnight and is doing heaps of stuff like climbing onto chairs, doing a #2 next to the potty!(she almost got there! :D) and just be a toddler. She is changing so much the last week or so. She is able to amuse herself so well while she is playing.
As for the other little miss. I took her for a shower as per usual and we were sitting there and i looked away for a sec and heard her make noise which i thought was a cry. When i looked down she had a massive smile on her face and was LAUGHING!!!! I could not believe it. Brent was just about to walk out of the bathroom when he heard it and came back. Then she just kept laughing and laughing! Its was so cute. I did my best not to cry but did get a bit wateryeyed! Its so amazing seeing someone so small laugh like that. It was totally unreal.
So yeah. Like i said we've had a big day for firsts! Anyhow...i'm off to bed. Hope you are all well.
Ni night!

sheree - I am 5 foot10 so its not like im tiny, didn't have any trouble getting him out at all, he was perfectly sized to come out of me i reckon, no squashed up face or funny shaped head or forceps or vaccuum, i was very lucky indeed!(took a hell of a lot of pushing though LOL!!!) Hope he sorts out his sleeps quickly for you. Woohoo on lachlan's big sleep this afternoon!! I really have no set time for Archie's day sleep, sometimes hes in bed at 10:30 for a few hours, sometimes he's in bed at 1:00. I just go by his tired cues, depends on his mood, when he gets up. Sory wish i could be more help, but Archie has never been one to stick to a strict time routine. If it makes you feel any better Archie hardly ate any of his, hasn't eaten much the last couple of days cause of teething i reckon. Oh sheree i really cant bef=gin to imagine how frustrating it must be to have him constantly refuse food, you'll be laughing about this one day when you are watching your 16 year old clean out the kitchen panrty and fridge!
nat - thanks for the encouragement to study, i am definately going to take warning on board, maybe i'll start with a TAFE course while Archie is younger and get back into the swing of studying slowly. Just got into contact with the manager fo our UniSA campus and she mentioned a preparatory course that goes for a year helping you to get back into the swing of study at uni level and raise your confidence, keen to hear more about it. Good on you for having lots of move motivation, wont be long and you'll be all settled in the new place.
leanne - sorry to hear that work is extra stressful atm. big hugs
chrsitine - your house is full of princesses atm! You all must feel great tonight.
jodie - wow so much happening in your life atm. Firstly Big congratulations on the sale of the salon finally! woohoo at moving into the new place. i can ust imagine the hapy look on Shauns face when he discovered he could et out of bed by himself, too cute. Great that your mums visit wasn't quite as bad as anticipated.
Another 2 new words for Archie tonight "deeda" heater and "days" James (my sister's boyfriend) Archie idolises him!
I feel like we finaly have a major breakthrough something i have been looking forward to since Archie was a newborn, he can finally tell us what is hurting him, YAY, makes life SOOOO much easier! Last couple of days he has been sooking and pointing to his gum where a new tooth is breaking through, this afternoon he even walked over to the medicine cabinet and pointed up asking for sedalotion to numb his gum.
sara - we posted at the same time. I am teary eyed for you! how precious to hear those first sounds of laughter. I can't believe Briley understands to do poo on the potty, Archie has no idea whatsoever, well done Briley!
-
Gosh your Archie is one clever Monkey, golly gosh!
And a friend texted me tonight and said, when he is older and asks us over for dinner we should say we are not hungry!!!!:cryinglaugh:
Jodie - boy what a busy girl, hope you are not working too hard though.
Sara - Briley is a clever girl too huh. And too cute can't believe bubs was laughing that much, that is so cute!
-
Morning ladies. Have a great day.
Good to hear from you Jodie.
Will read posts later.
Well off to do some work!
-
sheree - LOL at your friends message!
leanne - hi hope you are enjoying your day today!
Lots of disappointment in this house today.....DH was unsuccessful in his job application, yet again. I can't begin to express jut how disappointed he is, he is just so passionate about this career and has so many people from the service backing him and hoping he'll get the job, yet he keeps getting knock back after knock back. He will get a debrief in a fortnight, problam is the reasons are always so inconsistent as the interview panel changes each time he applys for a job! There is one guy at out local station who didn't get accepted til his 15th job application!!!! Oh well we will just have to roll with the punches i guess.
It is fantstic weather here today, looking forward to waling around the lake when Archie gets up (it is a long way around that lake though and i am very unfit, nearly killed me yesterday!) i am determined to get into shape though, sick of feeling like a dowdy wobbly house wife!
-
Hi girls,
Elissa - Ohh i am so sorry DH did'nt get the job. Its hard not to take these things personal. I hope something pops up soon. Thats great of Archie being able to tell you when he is pain. I can kinda read Brileys body languge now and can tell what is hurting her.
Jodie - Good to hear from you hun. Your getting so close now! Are you getting excited??? I'm excited for you! So you finally got a good offer on the Salon! Great news. You have so much going on in your life at the moment don't you. I hope you giving yourself time to rest. The house sounds like its going to be lovely. Love to see the end product!
Sheree - Briley is really getting into the Wiggles now too. She is totally zoned into them the whole show! What has the CHN said about Lachies eating habits??? Briley is a really picky eater aswell. It frustrates the hell out of me sometimes. We has lasagne for dinner lastnight and she hooked into that. She picks more that eats most of the time though.
Hi to everyone else. Hope you are all well.
Not much to report. Briley's gums are starting to ache again so she has been a little moody and sooky that last day or so. We did have an eye tooth cut but everytime i have to a feel it feels like it might have gone back down. I thought once they cut they stayed up???
Thismorning after i bathed briley, i was trying to distract her from being grizzly before bed by making animal noises and getting her to tell me what they were. She got most of them right. Just the basic ones like Chooks, Ducks, Dogs, Cat, Horse and Birds. I can't believe how clever she is becoming. A real little girl.
Well i might go and do a bit on my Doula Module. I am really enjoying it! I can't wait to attend my first birth. I have never been in with a birthing woman before. It will be a real eye opener!
Have a great day ladies!
-
Oh so sorry Elissa he didn't get that job. That really sux, must do heaps for his morale NOT!!
Sara - I haven't seen a CHN. I just persist and persist. Well that is a step more from Briley then lachlan, won't touch Lasagne!!!
-
Locking this thread now ladies!
