Missy's fantastic mood from yesterday has ended. She's in an absolute terrible mood. Maybe it was all too much for her and she's now overtired. Who knows. She's been so naughty this morning. Even tried to bite me. I've thrown her in bed with some books and she's not impressed.
Grr.
-
Christine - too funny on Riley putting your nickers in the drawer.
Leanne - love the sunnies on Katie and gosh she looks like you, doesn't she! Oh and Wade's sister jut had a baby yesterday and named her Katelyn too!
For those of you that replied about Lachlan and his eating. I guess for me it has just never been any different really, never like food ever!! The troubles we had when he was a baby, I don't know what it is like to have a reasonable or good feeder. I know he is at that toddler stage and they are fussy, but from where we have been, it has never been any easier for us.
I am on a mission today, getting rid of clutter and then onto the paperwork when daddy gets home........
-
We are on a declutter mission today too Sheree!! Erin has already cleaned out the fridge and Jess and I are doing paperwork clearing. We are also minding my niece (8 months) luckily Riley has gone to bed!
-
Yeah yesterday I did a big grocery shop and these houses are so small that I reorganised as I was putting away. Doesn't it feel good! I have already decluttered my room this morning, now to fold up the washing that has accumulated, get up to date with the washing and then onto the paperwork. Actually I might even clean out the bathroom cupboard yet!
-
Still fighting with miss grumpy today. grrr.
Sheree you reckon she looks like me? Thank you....
Heaps of people have said that just after commenting on how cute she is. I can't take compliments too easily.
Congrats on your new niece Katelyn - I think its a great name!
I hear quietness. fingers crossed I have won this time.
Now to hang the washing and attempt some housework. Place looks like a bomb has hit it. Might clean out my fridge too.
-
leanne - glad you feel better about the biting situation, hope being bitten has deterred katy from doing it to others. Wish i could come to your Girls Night In sounds like good girly fun! Hope Katy's mood improves, not a good way to spend your weekend, with miss grumpy pants!
sheree - WOOHOO on the big nights sleep with NO interuptions, you must have felt awesome when you woke up!
christine - its great that you are enjoying Riley so much, OMG at him tredding the weetbix into the rug, at least you can see the humurous side to it LOL.
Well done on the decluttering everyone, i am slowly getting there to, its feel so much better looking at an organised room, i did the laundry friday, i cant believe how big it seem now, and clean WOW, my fridge is sparkling and not a mouldy vegetable in site, i have been putting the bathroom off for a long time though.........
We had a great time last night, Archie had a ball with DH's little cousins. We met a friends granson who is 9 weeks old, DH held him and looked so akward with him, didn't know how to support his neck or anything, he got the hang of it quickly though, Archie held his head really well from day 1 so he was used to a floppy baby. i had a big cuddle, he was really easy going and quiet, he was the same size at 9 weeks as Archie was at birth!!!!! i was holding him and i thought, hang on my newborn was no smaller than this, and yep this baby was only a few ounces heavier! Everyone was watching me with him going oh you have to have another one you are such a natural blah blah blah...I just said yeah, if only they were this quiet and happy al the time id probably have 6! Archie was very jealous of the baby though, he was overtired which wouldn't have helped but it was interesting to see him fight for our attention and cuddles!
Archie's new words for the day are "nina" Tina, "nonna" Nonna, "nin" bin, "eeew" wheel, "ga" car.
Looks like we will be getting a second car, whoopdedoo, i can finally have freedom while DH is at work, i mgith be able to have a social life now (if i can find some friends LOL). DH's cousin just bought a flash new car, she is selling her '89 Barina for $500 in really good nick, DH would use it for work so Arch and I can have the big car (safer for Archie).
-
Evening ladies,
Elissa - Awww how cute of Arch saying all those new words! Briley is going so well with her speak too. Her newest is "Bye Bye". She waves when she is saying it too. Its so cute. She is really turning into daddys little girl too now. Whenever he walks away from her she follows him pointing at him as if to say "Hey! Where are you going without me?!?!" She is really turning into a little girl now. Your friends grandson must be a littlin then. How much did Arch weigh at birth???
Leanne - When you posted in your last post that you heard silence i thought you were going to say that mean that Katie was into something! I was going to reply that today we heard silence too and found the Briley was in my cousins room! They had left the door in their and she got into their stuff and pulled out some adult "toys"!!! Brent came out to me and said "Bub, Briley was in Arrissa's room and brought out these items(don't think id be allowed to mention them in here!) holding them up saying Daddy!!" We just pi**ed ourselves laughing. Then washed her hands! Anyways...I hope Katie ended up behaving for you!
Shazz - Gold Coast??? I thought you lived in Sydney??? Am i totally tripping out or what?!?!? Are you on holidays? Well i hope you had a great day on Bribie Island anyhow.
Sheree - Yeh its getting hot up here too. Hope Lachie keeps this sleeping through thing going! Its great getting an uninterupted night sleep is'nt it!
Hi to everyone else! Hope you are all well.
Well we did'nt get the goose pen build nor did we build anything for the horse! :wall: We did sort a few things out for them though.
Ok i am so tired that i am raving with a lot of nothings. I had 2 rums lastnight 2 hours apart and they have hit me like a tonne of bricks today. I feel like i have'nt been to bed at all. Not sure what thats about. I also ran out of iron tablets so that could be part of it too.
Anyways...I will be back in the morning when i a little more sane!!
Hope you are all well...
Ni night.
-
Elissa - glad you had a nice nite. Lachlan was the same, so strong with his head from day 1 too! Whahoo on the car too.
Sara - hope you feel better tomorrow.
Well my boy had Mr Grumpy pants on this arvo. He seems to have his morning sleep but no afternoon sleep and has been doing this for atleast 6 days now, so guess he is wanting just one sleep a day now. The thing is we don't get up till 9am and then I use to put him down at 10.30am and now it is more like 11.30am and he is probably down till 1pm and then I use to put him down at 2.30pm but with going down later in the morning now I put him down at 3.30pm and he fights it so badly and doesn't sleep, just rolls around with his water bottle if he does settle that is. So tonight he would not eat, he was so frustrating...... He got a couple of little smacks from us. Wade put him to bed without a bath at 6ishpm but I went and got him after 15mins cause I didn't want him to go to bed that early and especially with no dinner or milk. Anyway we tried again and he cried and screamed and chucked big tanties. We got a little bit of gelled fruit and custard into him (generally things he will eat), but wouldn't have a bar of his meat and vegies (which is becoming more common atm). So anyway he was still carrying on, so Wade put him back to bed at 7pmish without a bath, without jammies on, WE HAD HAD ENUF! He was alseep within minutes. I went in a little later to change his nappy while he was asleep and he only slightly woke. So hopefully that is him for the night! All this waking over the past 5 months must have finally caught up with him. I think we must have worn him out too, I was watering the lawn this arve and he was having a great time running backwards and forwards through the hose. It was laughing and running around for ages.
Tonight I have put on a chicken, vegie and noodle casserole for him and if he doesn't eat that I am going to be one very cranky mummy, I am running out of options here!!!! That sort of thing seems to be his favourite and after trying the baby food one tonight, it appears bland, so hopefully one with lots of flavour will to the trick!
I have a big headache from the fights we had with thim this arvo, so I am doing the wages and going to bed. Ni Ni, everyone.
-
Miss grumpy pants stayed grumpy until she did three poohs in a row, then was happy to have her bottle and go to bed. Nice.
I am off to bed too.
Ni nite all.

Ellissa ~ That is so sweet that DH sent you that message. Hope your fence gets fixed soon. I am glad that you had a lovely time catching up with your family. And YAY for getting a new car as well. That is great you’ll have some freedom now!
Shazz ~ Ohhh the goldcoast sounds lovely!
Sara Yep I’d say the alcohol and no iron tablets is why you’re so tired lol.
Leanne ~ She looks so cute in her sunnies!!! The cancer thing must suck hey :( I’m glad you had a lovely day with your mum though.
Sheree ~ WHOO HOO for Lachlan sleeping through! I’m sure he will love swimming lessons just as much as he did before. Em still loves his too. Glad the high temps have gone. Does Lachlan still have two naps? There’s no way Em has two anymore lol. He just has one big one – perhaps two hours.
Christine Em is hiding stuff everywhere too lol. Its so funny when I do the cleaning. I find things everywhere. Makes me giggle at least.
I LOVE decluttering missions lol. I have been on one for months and this move is gonna help me get rid of the last of the crap! YAY! Having one of those days today *sigh* lets hope tomorrow is better. My lecture got cancelled so that has to be a good start right!
Will probably pop in tomorrow for a chat!

Yeah well he was having two sleeps Nat and it worked out so well with me with the Newsagency, but now it appears he only wants one, but that one has to be longer then it is if he wants to do that! I am still putting him down for the 2nd one but he goes down with such a fuss even with his water bottle and I keep checking on him and he is still rolling around with his water bottle. Little monkey!
For those who use a dummy for sleep, can you please help me. As you all know Lachlan uses his water bottle for sleep, not a dummy! Do any of you have to replace it through the night? Do your kiddies suck to go to sleep and it falls out, or does it stay in most of the night or part of the night???? Just trying to source some info cause we are replacing this god dam bottle like a dummy. He did sleep through for 2 nights but even then I am not sure as when I go in there he still has the bottle in his mouth at times. Hence I think sometimes he is finding it and sucking on it, but how is that a deep sleep? But a majority of the time he cries and we replace it. BTW he didn't sleep thru last night........
-
Hi all
Sara ~ you crack me up i've never lived anywhere but here infortunately i'm a SE qld girl through and through though i would quite like to move to SA i saw a program on the great out doors or one of those programs and it looks great Nth Qld is to damn hot for me i can't function up there any way off to fight with Mr destructo once again
-
sara - gosh dont they just want to do everything Dad does, they are so cute atm. My friends baby was 7 pound 9 at birth but had difficulties bfing and had Gastro and was hospitalised at 3 weeks, he is on formula now and is starting to beef up though. Archie was a very chubby 9pound6, they thought he had GD cause he was so chubby! bummer about the rums hitting you like that, not pg are you (not funny i know lol).
sheree - sound like lachlan is ready for just one day sleep, makes getting things done during the day much easier i reckon as they sleep longer all at once. When Archie went through the transition from 2 to 1 sleep i made an effort to get him ou of the house and take him to run around the park til about 10:30, lunch at 11 then bed at 11:30, he sleeps for about 2-3 hours usually then goes to bed at 7pm. During the first month of thransitioning it was hard as they aren't tired enough for 2 sleeps but they are too tired with only 1 slep, frustrating, but they get there in the end. i hope lachlan ate his casserole for you. Arch is super addicted to his dummy and has two at night, 1 to suck and 1 to feel. 99% of the time he replaces it by himself during the night but if he's half asleep and cant find it occasionally, we go in and find it for him.
nat - council came and assessed the fence and are going to check things out and see who's respomsible for fixing it, then we'll sort something out ith them, they seem like a nice bunch of guys easy to work things out with. Yes i can almost taste the freedom!! Hope today is a better day for you, love the new pic of Em, all growed up!
I just got back from my first counselling appointment, it was really good. i was so nervous before i went that i had yucky IBS but im really glad i forced myself to go, the lady was really great and gave me some great tols to help me get past anxiety. I have been thinkinhg about studying for ages and one of things i have ben thinking about is psychology/social work/philosophy etc. i told the counsellor that i think i'd like to study and without telling her what id like to study she said "I really think you would enjoy psychology/philosophy", so im gonna check things out a bt more seriously now, the cost of study is a bit worrying though...
I am in charge of DH's phone while he is sleeping during the day this week, we are waiting on the call for his new job, fingers, toes and anything else crossed!
-
Gosh I hate my job sometimes. One of our client's passed away. We do alot of skin cancer claims and alot of them are passing away. Does not help when my MIL and dad are going through it as well.
It's so so sad.
Anyway, back to it just had to vent that out.
Hope you're all having an alright day. will read posts later.
-
Gosh Elissa, I didn't realise Archie was such a big bub, OMG! You poor thing.
I will take your tips on board for the sleeps situation, your advice sounds great. So does archie suck on it alot in his sleep though, IYKWIM (the dummy I am talking about)
Wow good on you re: the counsellor, hope you feel better for it and gl if you want to study, YOU GO GIRL!
Hope your hubby gets the job!
Shazz - you are right, it is so darn hot up here! Think everyone hybernates in their a/c's here in Summer!
Leanne - ohhh that is terrible.
-
Morning Girls!
Leanne that is just so sad! :( It must be harder for you as well with your Dad :hugs:
Sheree Ellissa is completely right with the naps during the day. That is exactly what Em did at first. Didn't want the second nap but boy was he feral and tired early lol. He will eventually have a longer nap in the middle of the ay once he settles down. I much prefer the longer nap now! I can get alot done in 2 hours lol. Em too generally can find his own dummy at night if it hasn't been thrown too far away lol. He may wake a few times early in the night for it but generally after a few hours he's settled into a deep sleep.
Ellissa That is great news about the counsellor. I am all for studying! Start with a small load though!!! I'm glad the council is being good about the fence!
I just got ADSL2 connected at my new place YAY! Its gonna be so much faster! I can't wait. I'm enjoying my day off. It feels like such a luxury because I am meant to be at uni. I just have to hang out the washing then I'm off to get my nails done! Then back to do some reading for uni.
-
Sounds like you are having a fab time Nat. Enjoy honey.
So do you think I should give him dinner earlier and put him to bed earlier at night, any thoughts on this????
-
Sheree- Riley did the same as Archie, he now sleeps for about 3 hours from 11.30-12 and sometimes more1 He still goes to bed at 7pm but wakes about 7ish in the morning too.
Jess and I had a manicure and pedicure each today and Erin got her nails painted at the same time so we all feel very glam!!
Off to pick up Riley from FDC and meet friends for coffee, BBL
