Sheree congratulations hon. :) Yeah stick little one stick..... I'll send some prayers up for you.
Well I am having a pretty good week actually. Work is busy busy, and katy rotten nappy rash.
Busy trying to get things organised for Saturday. I am starting to get excited as I have 15 definates now, but also starting to get a little nervous / anxious. I have friends coming from four different 'areas' in my life. I just hope everyone gets on and has a good time. I worry too much eh.
I just painted my nails for the first time in ahh who knows how long, and my nails actually have white bits on them YAY :D They look good I must say. EXCEPT missy moo was watching me and as soon as I put the bottle away she went and got it. and was trying to undo it. I can only imagine the mess pink nail polish would make so I have put up very high.
We have a couple of new words over here "hot" whenever she walks past the oven or sees a coffee mug. "up" when she wants out of the high chair or car seat. and Yessssss all of the time.
Brings tears to my eyes how fast she is growing.
AND.... tonight ?I put all of her hair in one pig tail at the back. Looked really grown up then...
Anyway, off to beddy byes. Will attempt personal personals one of these days.
Shazz, I send you an email.
-
Thanks ladies am feeling much better then I was this afternoon. Time to absorb it all and get a grip. Still trying not to get too excited though, just need to hold out for 2 more weeks. That would be great Sara but I am not sure I am going to go naturally any more, not as excited as I once was about a VBAC, I think having the m/c and time constraints we have with the Newsagency is somewhat limiting and at the end of the day not sure I can do a natural after a caesar or a natural regardless. So at this stage I just want to go with the flow and see what happens, but I am more confident it will be a caesar again then a natural at this stage.
Atleast I now know why I was so god dam miserable and b*i*t*c*h*y to poor ol Wade.
Hope Colby sleeps for you, sounds like you had a full on day Sara.
Leanne - Yay for pampering yourself. Hope Saturday goes well for you.
Lachlan still isn't talking that much at all.
-
sheree - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am crying i am so excited for you, no one deserves it more than you, i am sending all the sticky vibes i can muster straight over to you! i actually jumped out of my chair as i read the BFP icon LOL, i just wanna chuck a party now, anyone got bubbly???!
leanne - thanks, was having one of those stressful i am a hopeless mother who can't 'control' her child days, after the lovely things the MCHN said to me today at the 18 months check i am feling confident in my mothering again, thanks for the attention though. yay for katy's new words, boo for the yucky nappy rash though, wow at her having enough hair to have a big pony tail!!
sara - i really hope Colby decideds to settle for you soon, you must be b@ggered. Thanks for the feedback on tanty's, i was just having one of those days feeling totally out of control, i am back to my cool in control self now thank goodness, not a tanty in sight! Hope you get some sleep tonight
oooo i am still buzzing from sheree's news!
Archie had his 18 month check today, went really well and some really nice comments about my mothering really bought back my confidence which is great. here are his stats, not as big as i thought...
height 83cm
weight 12.96kgs
have found the key to a happy cooperative son, get out of the house and keep him really busy, divet his attention when he is 'naughty', has worked a charm today. Went to the shoe shop and got him properly fitted for his first proper good quality leather boots, so cute, he is size 6, big hoof. Think i will go back and get a pair of sandals too.
Archie has a pretty yucky cough that is mainly at night. has had it for four nights now, tonight he vomitted he coughed that badly, ut the vapouriser in his rooma nd it has enabled him to get to sleep, so fingers crossed, the MCHN told me that Bronchitis is everywhere at the moment.......bet he gets it so we can't go away next weekend, i hope he doesn't get sick, poor little prince.
-
Hehe Elissa on the bubbley. I was hoping I wasn't pregnant this month as I am so desperate for a drink, hows that! Stoopid hey!
So glad the CHN helped your confidence today. Lachlan is in full swing of tanties atm too, so so frustrating, but what can ya do! More then ever he knows what he wants and when he wants it and sometimes has no idea at all. I also feel like pulling my hair out at times. So it is sooo not you ok. Glad you had a better day 2day. Wow at the size 6, lachlan is lucky to be a size 3. Hope Archie doesn't get sick on you, poor little mite.

Morning girls!
I am totally pi**ed at Brent thismorning. Nearly every pay day (which is not till tomorrow mind you) he comes in and wakes me up to ask what the phone number is for the bank so he can ring and see how much he got paid. I had a go at him about it last week cause when he woke me up i was in a deep sleep. So he comes in thismorning, while i was in a deep sleep, and asks me where his key card is. I am out of my deep sleep now and i can hear his trying to type the numbers into the phone for the bank but he stopped. I knew straight away that he had fogotten. So he comes in and taps me on the leg asking for the damn phone number!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR After all that, he has the audasity(sp??) to ge the sh*ts at me for yelling at him for waking me up!!! MEN ARE SOOOO SELFISH SOMETIMES!!!!
So girls....needed to vent!
Sheree - Thats fine Sheree. Whatever you decided i will be here to support you all th way. Just remember that i am here if you do decide you need the support.
Elissa - Yep thats the way to keep the from being "naughty, keep them busy. Works all the time here. Brent's mum usually takes Briely out in the yard for most of the morning but when she brings her back in the tiredness kicks in and i cop it!!! Gosh Archie is a big boy! I will get Briley's stats done when she goes 17 months.
Brent and Briley mowed the lawn on the ride-on yesterday. She had an absolute ball! I got some pics on her in her new farm overalls so i will email a few piccies around later on today. Brent also FINALLY put up her swing in the tree. We had her in it lastnight and she loved it.
Colby did end up settling herself lastnight. I was ready to pull my hair out by the time she did settle but she finally did!
Well i have heaps of things to do today. Better get started!
Hope you are all well...
-
sheree - thanks i am glad its not just Archie who has turned a little.....evil LOL. yeah he takes after mum and dad, i am size 11 and DH is size 12, poor kid has no hope!
sara - GGRRRR at brent, yep men are strange creatures at times, i would have yelled at him too! Briley must look so cute in her new overalls. so glad Colby eventually settled herself last night.
We had a killer of a night here, i reckon its the worst night we have had since the night he got sent to hospital at 4 months, thought we had gotten past these nights, but oh no, silly naive me. Dont really know what his problem is atm which makes it all the more frustrating of course, his cough seemed to have settled down heaps after a few hours with the vapouriser on. his reflux is still causing some pain and discomfort, he had Panadol and Mylanta for that, and he was rubbing his eyes like crazy last night, though no gunk in them this morning, i think i saw a big lump on his gum today though, so that culd explain a bit. he just screamed and screamed then finally at 4am i put him in bed with us and he went straight to sleep, not like him, he usually plays if we put him in our bed. Wish i had of thought of it sooner! Took lots of screaming, panadol and hugs and kissses to get him to slep today too.....
i have identified lack of sleep as a trigger for my anxiety, had to run out of Woolies today and leve all my groceries on the checkout so i could run to the toilets!! how embarrassing, then had to leave the chemist before the script was ready cause i was starting to have an anxiety attack......there's always a drama isn't there?!
-
I'm just sticking my head in to say hi..
And i noticed some 'congrats sheree..." so I've gone back a page to read 'what for"... and OMG !!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck sweetie!!!!!!!! I really hope everything works out for you. It's such great news. And you deserve good things.
Now... appologies to everyone for (1) being MIA, and (2) no personals again.
I had a quick MSN chat with Sara today, and realised how much I've been missing. But I barely have time to scratch myself at the moment.
* I still only have half a kitchen. I finally have a benchtop & cabinets & a sink... but some cabinets don't have doors. And I've got no flooring, and the lighting needs doing, and splashbacks around the entire room. God knows when it will get finished.
* The settlement of the salon is meant to be on Thursday 1st November... but the sales contract is still not prepared. There were hassles getting hold of my lease (which I got one 9 years ago - and the RE was meant to issue new ones everytime I exercised an option - but they didn't! So they had to prepare 2 leases for the last 6 years - idiots!!!) Both the new owner & myself are so worried that it wont get organised in time - although we've started changing names of things like utilities etc. I just hope it doesn't get dragged out to near birth time! I feel like I've got a phone permanantly stuck to my ear - between solicitor, RE, accountant, the new owner, and all the suppliers.... I'll be so glad when it's over.
* I'm living out of boxes at home... because I just don't have time or energy to unpack everything. All my clothes are still in boxes!!
* pregnancy is going well. I'm huge. I saw the ob last week and he said "another big baby". I'm open to having a VBAC if baby decides to come earlier then the scheduled c/s date of the 26/11... but not sure if I'm keen on popping out a 9+ pounder. Sara eased my fears a little today when she told me about Colby (thanks)
* I just realised today that I'll be giving birth in 4.5 weeks.... and Yariv's mum is coming from Israel in 3.5 weeks!!!!!!! Aaahhhh.... where is the time going?
* Shaun has been going through a bit of hell lately. He's cutting two molars at the same time (first molars)... and he got gastro from the day care centre last week. In fact, most of the centre (kids & staff) got it... and they closed it down for the first time in 30 years!! He's done some wonderful projectile vomits!
* my computer is still sitting on a buffet in the living room! and I'm sitting (uncomfortably) on a dining room chair. Yariv has recently wired up the house... so I've got to move the computer, printer etc into my office.. and sit on a real chair!
... Shaun has just woken up.
hope you are all well. I'm sorry that I've not been keeping up with the news...
i'm so tired, and stressed. i just want the salon sold, the house clean & to get some sleep...
But I think I'll be flat out right up until baby is born... then I'll get 3-4 days to "relax" in hospital and then have to deal with two children (no more sleep for me!).
mwa to everyone!
I'll be back... just not for a little while. Thinking about you all.
-
Oh Bum Leanne, Cam's not here to sign a cheque....I have Ing accounts and I direct deposit into them....
Wo Sheree! Congratulations! whoo I can understand why you're a bit nervous though. Hang in there. I'm hoping upon hope that this is a sticker.
Man Jodie, that's too much for a heavily pregnant woman!
Hi Shazz and Elissa and Christine!
Don't the days just rush by when you're on your own? By the time we get home from work it's time for dinner/bath bed. I've had another bout of gastro and now got tonsillitis so I never feel like staying up after Darcy anyways.
I can't seem to extract Darcy from Cam's dogtags today. She's worn them everywhere. Her conjunctivits is pretty how ya going, but not bad enough that they won't take her at cc. I was ready for them to do that.
Shazz that's pretty much Darcy's stats too. I'd better find a MCHN around here cos I better get her needles done....but then again I'm going home early December. It wouldn't hurt to wait until then would it?
ssssooooo quiet in here.
-
Hi Jodie - nice to hear from you. Gosh not long to go now........ Hope you can relax sometime soon.
Kim - gosh you have had a rough trot, hopefully things settle down for you real soon. That is really surprising about the conjunctivitis, but lucky for you.
Elissa - bugger about your anxiety attacks still. Hope you get that under control soon. You are way too nice to have to suffer like that. You had one of those nights too huh. Lachlan last night was easily settled as usual with his water bottle but gee 7-8 times he woke (I lost count). It is so good we can easily settle him but god forbid if we ever take that off him, but it was the up and down all night and waking and not being able to get back to sleep ourselves. We are both exhausted today.
Do you all like my new ticker. Please, please bubba stick!!! Got my hcg levels done today, hopefully have my results on Monday. Can't wait for my scan in 2 weeks thought. I know people mean well but some peoples comments I really don't take too well. The nurse who took my blood today said if you have a heartbeat at the scan you realise you can loose it!!!!!!!!! Oh der, I have been here before I thought. Even though the recent twins didn't, my first twin pregnancy I had a hb and lost it. And I mean how positive is that! I know they are just trying to prepare me for the worst too, but hey I have had one successful pregnancy, surely I can do it again. Atleast when I have a scan I will now things are progressing in the right direction, better then not having a hb in my eyes. Well for the moment i just have to concentrate on that!
-
Hi all just being norty and using time i don't have on the internet but i had to finalise some ebay stuff and get leannes email so there you go thats my excuses lol but i had to see how you all are so i'll try and pop back on when i can
-
i forgot to ask anybody here going in the belly belly secret santa this year ?
-
shazz - i thought about going in it for Archie, but was worrid i'd forget about and let someone else down...i know what im like, probably should though it'd be fun. Are you in it?
jodie - hi, great to hear from you! Sound like you have a heck of a ot on your plate thats for sure, sounds like you're handling it really well though, good for you. Sorry to hear that Shaun hasn't been well. Can't believe he is about to be a big brother already! Dont stress about a 9 pounder, Archie was 9lb6oz with a 37cm head and he came out with no interventions, you'll be fine if bub comes early im sure. Hope things with the salon are finalised very soon so you have some time to relax, you must be looking forward to the hospital stay, just to have some rest time!
kim - hi! im sure it wouldn't hurt to wait til December for Darcy's needle, just run the risk of extra time to contract chicken pox i spose. I just can't imagine how you are coping on your own with all that illness! You are superwoman, hope things settle down soon.
sheree - hi there, you are sounding way more upbeat today, fantastic to see, you have every reason to smile! love the new ticker, very cute. sorry to hear you had a cr@ppy night too. On the bottle thing, Archie is extremely addicted to his dummies just like Lachlan is to his bottle and we get negative comments all the time about him still having it. I dont have a problem with as it helps him feel secure, at CYH the other day i read a pamphlet on comfort items and it stated that it is a very bad idea to take a comfort item away from a toddler before they are ready, it is really impotant to let them give it up in their own good time even it this means they don't give it up til they go to school. it was a really interesting read im sure you could find it on the website if you want to have a read. It is such a hard situation to be in for you, it doesn't matter what anyone says to you, you will always take it badly and that is a normal reaction, you know your own body and deep down you will know how this pregnancy is going. Only 2 weeks til you get to see you beautiful healthy bub and a nice strong heartbeat. of course you can have another successful pregnancy, your body did a wonderful job with Lachlan, you have living proof you can do it!
I went out and bougth a little cheap CD player for Archies room and he is listening to the 'Shine" CD (from the movie) at the moment, he is still awake after an hour but at least he hasn't cried once.....really hoping for a better night tonight, doubt it though. Our family reunion is not this weekend but the next and we are starting to think its not the best idea to go away while his sleeping is so out of whack, if it gets better before then we dont want to go away and be back to square one IYKWIM.
other than the sleep issues he has been my little angel, always running up to people and chatting with them in the shops and on the street, he is just so friendly and outgoing just like his dad. Kindergym is finally open again next week after being closed for 5 weeks, he will be so excited to go again!
-
Elissa - you always manage to put a smile on my dile - THANK U.
You are so right, Lachlan is so obsessed with his bottle it aint funny. I guess I am happy that he is happy, but the only thing that bugs me is that we replace it like a dummy and this is exactly what we were doing up till 7mths of age when we took his dummy off him. It was so easy to take his dummy off him, but now it would be impossible to get that bottle away from him. So if he didn't want us to replace it all night long I would be as happy as larry about it. Regardless of us replacing it, it has it's advantages, he goes down without a fuss and lays in his cot for ages in the morning and doesn't disturb me and lets me sleep in. Also his day sleeps are alot better too. Although yesterday it wasn't, but today he slept for 2 hours, so I was really happy with that. Thanks for that info though, that is really interesting, I have had people make comments about the bottle that I give him, but overall we are happy with keeping it.
I hope you have a good night and gosh doesn't Archie sounded like the biggest socialite.
-
Hi all being norty again i'm going to have a huge bill this month
yep Elissa ~ all of us are in the secret santa again this year it was great fun last year
Kim ~ waiting till december won't be so bad like Elissa said it just gives that added window of oppurtunity to contract Chicken pox
ok got to run
oh Ryan just had his very first hair cut and he was so so good didn't cry didn't move much and he looks all the more cheeky now i'll post photos when i can
-
Ha Shazz, you dag!
Sheree, how dare she!?!?!?! I find that appalling! The mind is amazingly powerful and for her to say anything negative like that is just.........oh grrrrr!!!
-
Hey guys just thought I'd pop in quickly while Em is asleep. I have done one assignment and have two to go. Amazingly enough the house is also clean so I'm not doing too badly!
We've had such a lovely day today. Its the first time in ages we haven't been racing about the place and I love it! Bring on the holidays!
Emerson is going so amazingly well. He is learning new things everyday. Today he fell asleep sitting up in the trolley and I had to hold his head up for ages lol. Then we had lunch together and he was yelling so I said shhhhh and put my fingers to my lips. So for ages he kept looking at me going shhhh. Too cute!!! And just now he was playing outside and a loud jet flew over our place. OMG he was terrified, come running inside and wrapped his little arms around my neck and buried his head in my chest for ages after the jet had gone. He has had such a bad run with illness though. I have put him on a multi vitamin and once I'm on holidays he'll be in CC only 1 day a week instead of 3. I'm also determined to include more fresh vegetables in our diet.
I can't wait to start at the gym in a few weeks. Its gonna be great!
Some personals...
Shazz YAY for Ryan's haircut! Naughty you still posting! I haven't put in for the BB Secret Santa this year.
Sara grrr at Brent! How are things? You didn't post yesterday.. that's unusual for you lol!
Jodie Gee you sound so busy. I'm sure you can't wait for things to slow down!
Leanne She would look so cute with one ponytail and so grown up! *sigh* Good luck for your 'girls night in'!!!
Sheree I ADORE the new ticker   I am so excited for you! Ignore that midwife - that is awful of her to say that. Of all people you of course understand the risks. This one is gonna stick. I can feel it! I'll book my flights over now lol!
Kim I'm sure it won't hurt to wait. And yes the days do go by so fast lately don't they?
Ellissa Archie sounds so cute! Em does the whole pretending to be shy thing when we're out! Did the vapouriser work well for Archie? I think I'm going to have to invest in one for us.
Vic Where are you? You never post anymore?? I miss you
I was just watching Oprah and they had a segment on the best place to wprk. And OMG I wanna go work for Google lol. They have 11 cafeterias serving gourmet foods, a concierge, a daycare centre, doctors, gym, pools, volley ball courts and heaps more! And its all FREE! And one lady brings her dog into work everyday lol
Ok that is a huge post from me. I am going to get stuck into an assignment now!
-
hey Nat! Darcy's not a huge fan of noises like that either lol. How cute him falling alseep in the trolley!
I've read back and remembered all the things I wanted to say...
Sara, that does absolutely suck about Briley's op being cancelled. Especially since they haven't rebokked it until Feb!!!
That's so cool about Katy hair Leanne. Is she happy to leave the band in? I can't even get Darcy to leave a headband on or a clip in.
-
Thanks girls for your support. I mean I am having a hard time with this let alone her putting doubt in my mind too. She did however say was I needing some emtotional support atm. Gosh I must sound like a wreck atm. I really feel good though. I was so sick with the flu (for 5 weeks) last pregnancy and bladder infections and I can't remember Lachlan's pregnancy all that well, I don't know what normal is anymore. I have no sore boobs/nipples as I normally would have, but I do feel healthy inside, but I still have doubts about my pregnancy, guess I won't believe it until I see that hb flashing away on the screen. I just can't believe how good I feel, hopefully that is a good sign. The only thing I remember about Lachlan's pregnancy was that I was hotter then most, perspiring so easily and it didn't even need to be hot and that is how i feel this time and I def didn't with the recent m/c. I am drinking so much milo, someone told me that is to do with my iron levels, but I am getting that tested with the bloods I just got, so hopefully they are not low like last time. Feel slightly tired, not too bad. Other then that can't say I feel any different.
Nat - when you coming to visit? Gosh google does sound like a great place to work. Those emotions of Em's are just like Lachlan, is so scared of things at times. I have a sooky boy, but I would rather a sooky boy then a boy boy IYKWIM.
How are you going today Kim?
Lachlan was a bit better at swimming lessons, still not great, but we are getting there. The instructor met us at the pool on Sunday to see why he is acting like he is. She believes it doesn't help that it is cold, but he is very much a kid that likes to do his own thing, very independant. He will happily run in and out of the baby pools. So he is not afraid. Maybe intimidated of the lessons/other kids/instructor/the small pool (an association thing that that pool is for swimming lessons) though and the coldness just doesn't help either. If he was like he was today I will continue, but if he gets worse again, I will have to pull him out, I don't want him to be upset.
-
Evening ladies,
Sheree - That is disgusting! How did you refrane from slapping that woman?!? No-one should say a thing like that let along a bloody Midwife! They are meant to be caring, supportive women who take care of pregnant mums and their babies. I hope you totally disregarded anything she said. This pregnancy and every pregnany deserves a chance.
Sorry girls just bout to watch a movie. Just had to pop in and say that! Bit aggressive but so is what that lady said!!
Hope you are all well!!
Ni night!
-
Thank you so much Sara for your support, you don't know how much that means to me. Mwah xoxo
-
Sheree can you spend any time in the big pool when you aren't having lessons? That may help. Perhaps even get in for 10 mins before your lesson starts if you can. I am glad that you are feeling so good - that is great . Hopefully having your levels checked regularly and getting your scan will help to ease the worry. I have everything crossed for this little one to stick! I'm flat broke for awhile but we should pick a time for next year and we'll come visit :D
Twice in one day - I'm on a roll!
Off to get some study done now!
-
I am so digusted in that woman Sheree. The nerve of some people. Some people really talk first and think later don't they.
Just popping in while I am waiting for my profiteroles to cook.
Katy kept her pony tail in for like - ah - 2 minutes, not even enough time for me to get the camera. Cheeky possum/.
We had our first tanty in the shopping centre yesterday. I was just ducking in to the chemist to buy my happy pills and as I put her down to get my purse out of my bag she did a runner. Boy she's quick. So I leave my whole bag on the counter and go after her. Looked a sight me running let me tell you. So I pick up the little rascal and she starts screaming, you know that high shrill scream that our kids have learnt from who knows where? Well that's Katy screaming, kicking and making a fuss. I was so embarrassed. I said to her in a stern voice "Now Kaitlyn you stop that, you are embarrassing mummy. You wait young lady until we get home and I tell daddy". I tell you the stares and looks of disapproval from others was disgusting I wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear.
Anyway, I get back to the chemist, by this stage katy is pointing her finger at me and saying no no no. (I must stop doing that to her!!!), pick up my antidepressants and I go to pay and the credit card was out of credit. GRRR. I then had to go to the ATM didn't I. I got the money and paid for my stuff and went.
I cried all the way home, only to arrive home and little miss was asleep in the car looking like a peaceful (butter-would-not-melt-in-my-mouth) angel.
Sigh
Anyway, my cooking is almost ready I can smell it. So far I have made rum balls, chocolate caramel slice, mars bar slice, cupcakes, strawberry fudge and have bought liquer chocolates.
There is a dozen bottles of pink champers in the fridge and I am making pink lemonade and berry punch. You reckon that's enough for 15 people?
We had mufti at work today and we raised $200.00 so I am stoked about that.
Kim, I have emailed you details of the account I will be depositing the money into once this is all over. I have a supporter number so any money that goes into the account get added to my total.
Personals soon
Love ya's all.

Popping in quickly while the kids are watching "SKy HIgh" LOL
Sheree- what an unsupportive mw, is there anyone else you can see who would give you more emotional support and not be so negative?? Poor Lachlan with the pool, I wouldn't stress if he doesn't want to have lessons yet, a friend who is a swimming teacher said that unless you have a pool lessons for under 2's are fairly pointless anyway.
Leanne- YUM!! wish i lived near you all that food sounds divine! Hope the night went well. Riley has tantys regularly, his latest is lying on the ground as well LOL Hair elastics are a pan to keep in Erin is battling to keep one in all day and she is nearly 8!
Sara what a pain about Briley's operation, you poor thing having to wait that long.
Nat- isn't this a gorgeous age for learning new things? Riley now blows on all his food in case its hot! or he makes other people do it for him.
Shazz- we have used up this months allowance too but we don't pay more it just goes slower which is annoying when you are used to high speed! I am going in Secret santa for Riley and Erin.
Kim- I wouldn't stress about getting Darcy's needles late, Riley has been late for every one!! Erin and Jess have never even had the chicken pox vaccine and touch wood have never had it either.
Elissa- the cd player in Archies room is a great idea, hope it helps. Archie sounds so cute and outgoing, I wish all our little buddies could meet IRL.
The cat is sleeping on the desk half on the keyboard ATM which is making typing challenging and Erin is aslking me to make pancakes for breakfast so i had better go!
Riley is very busy atm and seems to be into EVERYTHING, he is obsessed with shutting cupboard doors which is good cause his sisters seem incapable of doing it!! but he also likes to chew mobile phones and i-pods which isn't very good for them LOL He is starting to say more but still not a lot that can be understood.
BBL for anyone i have forgottten
-
oh Leanne, what an awful arvo. Yum that all sounds great though.
This is just quick, but you want to hear something funny - I've lost my voice now....no doesn't sound very cranky when it's a whisper.....this wilful little cow is having a field day lol.
-
You need teacher training Kim, I can even whisper in a fierce angry way LOL
-
haha Christine maybe I do.
Oooh I forgot to tell you guys. Yesterday in the morning Darcy was playing with no pants on and she came up to me and said "poo mum!" I said do you want to sit on the toilet/ she said yep and in we rushed - she did a poo on the potty!!!! Then promptly stood up and told me to put it in the toilet lol. Then she said Dad? and got the phone.
Hasn't happened again, but it's a start.
-
Hey Everyone,
Thought I'd pop in while I had a spare minute!
:dance:OMG CONGRATULATIONS SHEREE!!!!!:dance:Well done girl, I knew you could do it. This one will stick for sure! That is terrible what the midwife said....Don't see her again! It was great talking to you the other day too!
We are pretty much settled in to the new house now and I LOVE IT! My dog had another suicide attempt yesterday (2nd in 2 months) he jumped over the fence while he was on a chain and didn't quite reach the ground on the other side. No one was home here but luckily he wriggled out of his collar and the neighbour was home. We bought a wire barrier thing that has a collar than zaps my dog if he gets too close to the fence, we have activated it today and so far seems to be working...I feel bad for him but its better than him getting out and being hit by a car or something.
I have briefly read through the posts, sorry there is so much to catch up on! Kim how did your move go? Do you like it so far? How clever Darcy telling you she needs to do a poo! Jayden isn't ready for toilet training just yet, but I might give it a go soon.
Nat: How did your move go?
I can't believe how much Jayden understands now, i think a lot of his tanties are because he understands us but we can't understand him. We play a game at meal times where i pretend one of the animals is eating his dinner, I say "Kirra you can't eat Jayden's dinner....What do you say to Kirra" and Jayden says "No no no" and points his finger toward the cat....It is so cute it cracks me up every time. His animal sounds is unbelievable too....I'm running out of sounds to teach him. He still isn't saying too many words although he came running in to my room this morning with a book saying "toad, toad" and sure enough there was a pic of a toad in the book. We are getting Jayden out of his dummy (D-D) so we say that the toad needs his D-D to go to sleep during the day and when its night time the toad will give it back.....he is coping pretty well with that so far, although now we're in the new house there are no toads that we can look at to ask for the D-D back. We ask him if there are any Gecko's and he looks to the ceiling and say "naaah". I will probably regret saying this ....but I can't wait til he can talk properly, he has the sweetest voice!
Anyway this has turned into a longer post than I intended.....If Jayden starts going to bed early again and without needed me there til he falls asleep, i might be able to post a little more often.
I hope you are all well....I love all the new tickers....I think nearly everyone has a new one....I'll get on to mine soon.
Ok Have a great weekend all

sheree - i am really glad i could help you smile! Likewise you always know just what to say to brighten my day too. bummer about having to replace the bottle all the time, that must tempt you to take it away! it is hard when you get negative comments about that sort of thing. Go the Milo, hope your iron levels aren't down. i reckon its a good plan that you have regarding the swimming lessons, independent little guy!
shazz - might have to go and sign up then...woohoo on Ryans haircut what a good boy to sit still happily.
kim- very cute new photo of Darcy. Sorry to hear about your voice, had to giggle at the Dragon having a field day! Isn't it awful to find humour at other people's expense, sort of like "he he thats cute (thank god its not me!)". i am terrible, hope you find it soon! Gosh Kim i can't believe how switched on to toilet training Darcy is! Arch started to poo after his bath so i ran him into the toilet and he happily sat there and did it, but he is still clueless about the whole affair, will leave it til next Summer..
leanne - had to giggle out loud while reading about Katy's tanrum while shopping, sounds VERY familiar, and then running out of credit, extra embarrassment, just what you needed, gosh it all happens at once! Dont you just love it when you pull inot the driveway and turn to see them sleeping peacefully.....aaawwww. Wow at all that yummy food!! i am very jealous! i think my hips will be better off without it though! Hope you hae a fantastic night and raise lots of moola.
christine - wouldn't it be so fantastic to meet up and see them all play (and fight) together! Sounds like the kids are keeping you very busy, are you looking forward to the chrissie holidays?
tania - i hope the new collar thing teaches him to stop escaping. Dont they sound like little angels when they speak! ihope Jayden learns to happily go to sleep without you there, it would be good to chat to you more often.
Archie has slept SO much better with the cd player on all night, its amazing! He still wakes up a couple of times but isn't scared, instead of hysterical screaming for up to an hour (i did go into him every few minutes BTW, didn't just leave him for an hour screaming, not quite that cruel) he just whinges for a minute or 3.
We are having our first warm night for the season tonight, not enjoying it in our house that is an oven...must get that air con. Thanks goodness its daylight savings tonight, that means we might actually get a sleep in!
Archie had a first tonight....his first stubbed toe LOL, he was walking in nana's backyard in bare feet tonight adn started bawling, we thought he didn't like the feel of the de3ad grass and sort of ignored him, 10 minutes later i realise his toe is bleeding....another bad mum moment LOL.
-
Morning girls,
Thought i would pop in and do personals while Colby is still asleep and Brent and Briley are outside.
Elissa - Glad to hear that the CD player is working for Archie's sleeping. I have worked out that if leave the door open Briley won't get out of her bed a million and one times!! It was hot here lastnight and the night before. We have a little weather station in the house and it was saying that it was hotter inside than it was outside. And it was stinkin hot yesterday! Good to hear that Archie has been a good little boy! I hope his toe gets better soon! Poor little man!
Kim - LOL! Its amazing how much you really need your voice to disipline your kids! Tone is everything! I can imagine Briley would be exactly the same if i lost my voice. Love to the new ticker!! I have to update my pic soon.
Nat - Thanks for asking how i am! Yeah i am ok. I don't want to bore you with my problem though! Nothing serious. Just the usual stuff. Men, money and life!!! My life story! Sorry to hear that Em is going to well health wise. What multi-vitamin in Em on??? Briley was on Pentavite and that worked REALLY well for her. I wish i had of thought about it when she was going from cold to cold. Em sounds like a little angel!!
Sheree - Your welcome hun. Anytime. I am always here for support and guidance if you need. As is everyone else i'm sure! Good to hear that you are feeling well in amongst it all though. A good sign i am sure.
Tania - Good to hear from you hun. Glad the move went well. OMG @ your dog! Our dog, Tyson, tried to jump a high fence once and got one of his legs caught in between the pailings. We pulled in the drive and there he was hanging from the gate!!! Lucky he did'nt break his leg. Glad your dog is ok. Jayden sounds too cute! I too have run out of noises to teach Briley!! She is growing up so quick. She watches these shows on Playhouse Disney on Austar called Little Einsteins and Micky Mouse Club House. In the shows they give the kids instruction to do things. In Little Einsteins they say "patt patt" to get the rocket to fly and she goes along with it flapping her arms like a chicken but patting! Then on MMCH they call our to "Tootles!" and she yells out too! Its so funny!
Leanne - You sound like your having the same week i've had. You know how your luck just seems to be down and EVERTHING goes wrong! Mine started when Brent got put off at work for a few days cause they did'nt have enough work for him! So now we have to worry about how we are going to pay for the house payments next week! I'm won't go on but i do know how your feeling! I've nearly broken down a few times but whats the point! Massive hugs hun. I can't sympathise with you on the tanties in the shops yet! We have'nt been there yet! I hope we bloody don't either!
Christine - Thanks for reminding me about your occupation! Everything seems to go in one ear and out the other lately. Not that its my ears that i read with!! Briley does the complete opposite to Riley with the doors. She likes to open them, pull everything out and then close them!!! She also like to get in and hide in them! She has really gotten into that hidy hole thing lately. If she finds a little secluded area she plays in there. Mmmm pancakes......
Shazz - Good on Ryan for being a good little boy! I can't barely put Briley's hair up in a piggy tail without her moving let alone sit still for hair cut! Both times she has made it very hard for the hairdresser to cut it. I am just letting it grow now. I will just trim the fringe to keep it out of her eyes. Nah i don't think i am going to go in the Secret Santa...How do they do it when everyone lives away from each other???
Hi to everyone else! Has anyone heard from Vic???? I see her on MSN sometimes.
Ok now for us.
My little terror has me run of my feet the last few days. I clean and she comes straight behind me and makes a mess. All i want is a tidy house but its becoming impossible! The new words are still coming. Esp the ones i don't want to hear. Like "Get!". I was trying to get something out of her mouth and she told me to "Get!". And when i mention the Geese, she copies her father, and says "Bloody Goosies!". I say bloody a bit too so i am probably part to blame!
Oh and we are booked in on the 20th of November for her eye op now. They must've sensed that i was pi**ed about them cancelling and went out of their way to get another app closer. If they cancel this one i will be writing a letter.....
Colby is good. Sitting up most of the time now. Not on her own obviously but while you are nursing her she sits up. She did a massive poo yesterday and it went all through her bassinette. So i thought i would wash it in the washing machine...big mistake. When i went back out to hang it out the matteress was in pieces all over the washing machine. I was so angry at myself. So lastnight she slept in the bassinette on those little sleeping bag thingys that come with new prams!
Speaking of Colby....she's just woken up. And my boobs are about to pop!!
Hope you are all well...
-
Hi girls just quickly as I went to bed at 3am (what a party!)... I'll pop a group photo of us all in my photos on BB.
We have raised a total so far of $500.00. Pretty stoked.
Off to get a berrocca!
-
Nat - yeah we went down last Sunday and yesterday to the pool and he is so happy just to run in and out of the water himself. As for before the lessons we do that too, but the instructor told me maybe we shouldn't be cause it will get him cold too quick. So I have now been turning up late and then we stay and play after the lesson. I would love for you to come and visit next year, start thinking of a date girly.
Leanne - gosh you have only had one tanty in the shopping centre, you are lucky! Whahooo on the money you made. Well done.
Christine - no unfortunately she is the only one that does blood tests in town and don't believe she is a midwife, just got a background in antennatal care I think. Yeah I asked the instructor the same thing if he would be missing out on anything as far as his development goes in the water and she said no, so if he doesn't improve I have no problems in pulling him out of the lesson. Lachlan doesn't say alot either. Hope you are all well.
Kim - maybe we do need lessons on how to say No - hehe, we have the same problem. Can't believe how clever Darcy is. We feel so far behind you guys.
Tania - I loved the pictures of your new house, made me so envious as these mining houses are not so great and I am use to living in nice big houses. Can't wait to see you guys in December.
Elissa - yeah replacing the bottle like a dummy really sux sometimes, but I guess him going to bed without fuss is just so great these days and him staying bed and not disturbing me in the morning too. I have always wondered if CD player would help lachlan sleep, worth a try I guess. Being a mother, anything is worth a try huh! Ohhh poor ARchie on stubbing his toe.
Sara - bugger about Briley and the swear word hehe. They are such little mimickers now. Yay on the appt for Brileys opp. Gosh they wouldn't want to cancel on you again...... What a bugger about the basinette mattress.
Well daddy now plays cricket every Saturday, and as it was the only family time we ever has is Sat and Sun afternoon, so now it is just Sundays. Also Sat and Sun afternoon gives me a chance to get into my paperwork while Wade watches Lachlan. So that kinda sux, but he loves his cricket so much, just wish he decided to start it next year not this one, as we are still trying to settle into the business.
Anyway Lachlan and I went to the pool yesterday but Wade 4got to leave us the keys, so I was all packed up and no way to get there, so we had to walk!!!! It was still hot even at 4pm in the arvo. It was a stinker yesterday at 35 degrees plus! Anyway we had a really nice afternoon. The pool was packed with kids.
Lachlan slept thru again, maybe the 10th time in 5-6 mths. He slept thru a few nights ago too, but then the night before last was 6-7 times again. Does this sleeping ever get any better? I am seriously considering giving him phnergen over a 2 week period to get some good habits forming again. The paed told me to do that some time ago now and he came good, so didn't bother. I might just ring her and ask her how to go about it again.
As me for I am getting really worried AGAIN...... I have next to no symptons and worry that something is wrong. Might go for an earlier blood test then I was first going to seeing as the results can take 3 working days to come back out here too. Just really freaking today. I haven't had sore boobs / nipples, haven't been tired / nauseas or hungry, haven't been fluffing, haven't felt bloated. I have nothing to go on here, I am sick of waiting.......... for my scan...............
-
Woohoo Leanne great job! You all looked great too. Loved the hair - does it wash out though?
Oh Sara, you poor love. like you haven't enough to worry about.
Sheree, I totally get why you're worried. I'd definitley be in the same boat if I were you. No symptoms could be a great thing though. Would the BT be a HCG monitor?
Elissa I used to use a CD player too....glad it worked for you. Might have to get Darcy's out again. Trying to wean her from sleeping with me. Last night was not great. Up from 11-1.30. She thinks she can just come and get into bed with me at midnight - i'm over that. Guess it was my fault though. Shes in a fold out bed atm until I can afford a real bed. Trouble is she likes to sleep sideways and wakes up when her legs fall off because the foldout is narrow (she's pretty long). Hoping the width of a real bed helps.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday.
-
Ohhhh I hope and pray no symptons are a good thing Kim, I really do, but I guess it is just so hard to think positive with no symptons.
And yes the blood tests are monitoring my HCG levels, was only going to get them done weekly but I feel like I need them more frequently with no symptons.
Bugger about Darcy coming into your bed, that would suck. I think back to all those months of Lachlan sleepign with us as a baby and there is no way we could do it now. He is such a wriggle worm, doesn't stop still even in his sleep!
-
sara - god to hear taht you have found a way of stopping briley coming out of the bedrooma million times! Gosh, sounds like your house isn't much better than ours, do you have air con? The first thing Archie did when i got him out of bed this morning was show me his sore toe LOL. he he at Briley being bossy, tey are quick to learn the swears aren't they! Good news on the op, hoping they go through with it this time! Bummer aout the bassinette matress, hope Colby had a nice big drink when she got up!
leanne - sounds like a great party, well done on raising all that money, hope the berocca helps!
sheree - yep i sure agree that anything is worth a try these days! Bummer that you have lost your lachlan free time on Saturdays. Glad you had fun at the pool, oh no 35 degrees i am so dreading that again! try not to panic, i had no symptoms til 5 weeks maybe the bub is still busily burrying itself in in there!
kim - hope you get some luck with Darcy sleeping in her own bed, sounds as if she might do better when she gets a big bed. Shame money is hard to come by sometimes (alot of times!)
i chucked a bit of a tanty today, i never show my anger, never really have so chucking a tanty isn't something you would normally see from me. i threw the newspaper at the wall, threw Archie's plastic chair across the room then jumped in the shower and had a cry, LOL, wish i could do it more often sometimes..
Dh and Archie are sleeping, and i am thoroughly enjoying some time alone! Going to go and read up on reflux again, Archie is getting worse and worse atm.
-
Well 38 degrees today, can you believe it!!!!!!!!! I am soooo not looking 4ward to this summer here..........
Good on you for chuckin a tanty Elissa, you obviously needed it. Hope you feel better. Well I never had much in the way of symptons till 6 weeks with Lachlan but I still had the sore boobs/nipples early right from the start!
I just cleaned out underneath our house, boy what a job, just what I needed to do to keep my mind occupied. Now I have given strict instructions to keep it this way, wonder how long that will last!!!! Wade has a habit of bringing some of the old gift lines from the shop that we inherited and just plonking them anywhere under the house. Also boxes of stationery/cards, you name it we have it under the house. Anyway atleast it is in a tidy fashion now.
-
you could set up and online shop sheree.....to get rid of it......just a thought - would keep you occupied at least
Go ELissa!! I agree sometimes it has to come out.
Sheree, Lachlans not far behind.....Darcy took her sultanas for afternoon tea and sat in front of the drier and watched the coloured load go round and round.....oh my small things....lol she can't even sit and watch the telly.
-
Gosh I wouldn't buy this crap we have here Kim - we inherited so much rubbish. What do you think I haven't already got enuf to do Kim hehe. Lachlan doesn't sit still watching telly either, he is climbing up and down the lounge the whole time, no wonder he stacks it all the time with his head turned to the telly and not watching what he was doing. He is so like my sister it is not funny, she use to do summersalts and headstands watching the telly all the time as a kid! So I blame my sister. Oh I really do think Lachlan is heaps behind Miss darcy and most of the other kids here in our group. I was actually just saying to WAde this afternoon we really need to try to teach him more things in books and stuff, but Wade hit the nail on the head, he won't sit still, just wants to get off your lap.
-
Sheree - I was the same with Colby hun. Had hardly any symptoms for ages. Even my HCG levels played up. So no signs/symptoms is'nt nessesarily(sp??) a bad sign. Keep hope hun. I have a real good feeling about this one babe.
Elissa - There is something in the air today. I lost it thismorning. I am sick to death of all the ADULTS in my house relying on me. I am sick of everyone eating then wallking out and expecting ME to do the dishes, fold the washing, etc etc. I am even thinking about moving out with me and the girls. All i want is some time to myself and a damn CLEAN HOUSE! His parents living here is putting too much strain in our relationship. Sorry hun...got lost in the moment then. I hope your feeling better now.
Leanne - GO GIRL!!! So did you have a good time??? Must of if you got to bed at 3am!!!
So yeah as i told Elissa, i had a major breakdown here thismorning. What signs do i need to look for in depression?? When SIL was up here we had several D & M's and she said she thought i was depressed. I really don't want to be.
I think i need to move out and find myself again. I have lost who i am in this relationship.
-
Oh thank u thank u thank thank u Sara, you saying you had no signs at the start of your pregnancy has given me sum hope. Hopefully this pregnancy is just different to all of my other pregnancies. I don't even have any extra discharge down below, did you.
Gosh not that I am any expert honey, but I would think the determining point for depression would be no energy to get out of bed in the morning, obviously combined with other things but I mean I was really bad with Lachlan when he was born but can't say I ever crossed that line to depression even though the Midwife didn't know how I had walked away from it. I think mine was due to Wade, such a good influence on me, especially when I have been on antidepresents before.
-
Nah only joking Sheree...I can't imagine how you fit everything in. Lachlan's a bright little spark with loads of energy that's he's using to discover stuff no-one can teach him.
Oh Sara. You sound like you're in a bad place at the moment. I didn't want it either. It just happened. No predisposition either. Ring the local health service/your MCHN and speak to them about tlaking to someone. It doesn't have to be to diagnose, but they have access to support services that you don't know about. Please tell someone though. It wasn't until Darcy was 7months old that I got 21 out of 24 on the PND test (a huge risk to both of us), and even though someone was aware of my pretty much instant PND it just got worse.
