Both of you drive safe and have a good week.
I had to disinfect the bath tonight, because Darcy, for the first time in her life did a poo in the bath! GROSS. I think that may have been why she was in pain, cos it was half runny yuk yuk yuk. She was so distressed about it too poor pet lol.
-
Sara , Sheree drive safe.
Kim - poor dear esp with a pooh in the bath. Hope Darcy's feeling better today.
Went and had a cuddle of my newlittle nephew today - I forget how small they start. and so so cute! Not that Katy is not cute now of course! He he

Ooh I almost forgot, got my christmas pressie off layby on Friday (new sewing machine after mine packed it in). Nearly finished a dress for Darcy already, though it's been a while since I read a pattern and I keep thinking I'm cleverer than I reall amm.
Hey Leanne, do you have an overlocker? If not what stich do you finish in? I've always used Mum's overlocker. Mine will come off Layby at the end of Feb but not sure what to use until then...

Thanks Sheree!!! It's huge compared to little Lachlan, but he's got a lot of growing to do, so will get good use out of it!.
I don't have an overlocker, Kim, but I finish off with a zig zag stitch. Long zig zag but short stitch length. Hope that makes sense. Works well.
Well I am well and truly into this weight loss challenge. Even changed my ticker... LOL. Katy will have to give the ticker a miss for a little bit.. LOL.....
Shazz you poor thing with your sciatica. Wake hubby up and get him to help you lift Ryan. Take care of yourself.

Ok Girls, this is me signing of for the week aswell. I think i have everything packed. Still worrying that i am forgetting something though. Oh and if all the clothes i have packed with weigh more than 25kg's!
For those who don't know....I am off the Gold Coast for a week. I am up for a meeting if those who are down that way are willing to come on down!
Shazz - Ohh your poor thing. My back has never been the same since i had Briley. I was moving around on the bed tonight trying to feed Colby and i really hurt it. Mine is kinda like sciatica aswell. Prolly should get it checked out but don't have the cash for a chrio at the moment!
Sheree - Have a great time hun! Talk to you when we get back!
Kim - I hope Darcy is feeling better after that. Maybe she had a bout of food poisoning??? Or gastro??? Now that she did a poo she might be on the mend. Got it out of her system. The new sewing machine sounds great! I wish i knew how to sew let alone use a machine! Enjoy it hun!
Leanne - Wishing you all the best on your WL challenge!
Well i am off girls. Take Care of yourselves and i might be in sometime over the week if i get a chance.
Talk soon!
xxoo

Kim: Poor Darcy! How is she feeling now? I'd be taking her somewhere else to get a 2nd opinion, I know you don't have much choice where you are do you? I wouldn't be too worried about the food but not drinking and high temps don't sound too good.
Leanne: The quilt look fantastic!!
Sara/Sheree: Safe driving
Sara: The pregnancy is going great! I am really enjoying it so far, the M/S has pretty much stopped except when I am tired or hungry, I have only gained 1kg so far. I think I have felt a couple of movements.
Shazz: I have problems with my sciatica too, it started when I was PG with Jayden and plays up really bad if do too much. I'm a little worried how I'm going to handle the later stages of this pregnancy but I know someone who does accupuncture so I will give that a go. We used to go for walks along the beach every week when I was PG with Jayden by the last 6wks, I couldn't walk up a small sand dune without collapsing in pain....I don't want that happening this time.
I have my first scan today! I am so excited to the baby! I am taking SIL #1 and one of my nieces. Its Chris 1st day back at work so I didn't to ask him to take time off already. Well I'm off to get ready for work.
-
GL with the scan today Tania! How exciting.
-
kim - that is so funny that Darcy thought that the points book was so interesting that she had to take it out with her! Is she much better yet? eeeeew, we haven't had a poo in the bath yet, poor Darcy getting upet over it. Good on you for getting back into the sewing, i used to trya nd sew and make things but i would get so upset and frustrated at the old sewing machine as it always would chew up the thread, i should get back into it one day. I can't believe you mowed the lawn in those temperatures, thats keen!
sara - hapy packing, hope you didn't forget anything important, no doubt you will have forgotten something, i know i always do! Have a fantastic trip
leanne - oooo cluck cluck! and i haven't even seen him! Newborns are just so precious arent they. Good for you getting right into the weight loss thing, you go girl!
shazz - you poor thing! I really hope it gets fixed somehow very soon it must be SO painful
tania - YAY, you must be SO excited to see you little bub in there
sheree - have a wonderful time!
It is the most beautiful day here today, we went down to the Lakes and had a picnic and a play on the playground, it was gorgeous, Jay and Arch are both having a rest now so it is quiet me time, aaaahhhhhh
-
lets us know how your scan goes tania how exciting i'd love to be pg again as long as it was nothing like Ryan's pregnancy i'd be fine
-
Shazz- I just looked up potato scallops and they are 7 points each. I am fighting between pizza with the family for dinner or a lean cuisine ! Pizza is 4 points per slice for cheese lovers thin and crispy but i think the lean cuisine will fill me up more!!
-
HEY JODIE, .... A HUGE "THANKS" TO YOU FOR LETTING ME KNOW ABOUT THIS THREAD : )
:hello: HI LOVELY MUM'S MY NAME IS LORELLE .... AND MY DAUGHTER CENDRINE (a very old French name) WAS BORN ON FRIDAY THE 6TH OF MAY 2006 !!
... Yes, she turned 20mths yesterday !!!
She took us 2 and a half years to conceive. I might mention naturally and with the help of the wonderful herbal formula from The Ruth Sharkeys Healing Centre in QLD). I know it sounds like a plug for them but after they put my cycle back on track only after taking the formula for 4mths (which it hadn't been for over a decade - now that's a miracle within itself) and PRESTO 4mths later I was pregnant. So, a finger salute to my well-known Gyno and IVF specialist in Melb who said I couldn't fall pregnant any other way other than having to go through IVF.
I gave birth to Cendrine at the ripe young age of 40 (well, 40 + nearly 4mths to be almost exact, LOL). Naturally & drug free, ... um well, lets just say I didn't have time to, even if I wanted to (which wasn't in my plan) as she came FAST.
Contractions started at 9am (yeh, thought I had bad wind, ha). Sat on the dunny for ages ... Don't know why I just felt better doing so and occasionally went into the kitchen and gripped the chair and for some reason stomping my right foot (funny what you remember reading from books what people did when in labour).
My contractions were just getting closer between each other and faster than we expected. So, my partner Adam rang the hospital to ask if we could come in - That answer was "Oh, my god YES".
Getting to the car was another matter. I felt I couldn't make the 5mtr walk to the car as I truely thought I'm gonna give birth on the front lawn (and I'm not one to draw attention to myself) plus I still hadn't met the neighbours after moving to Ballarat from Melb and I figured this wouldn't be a lady like way with my legs in the air.
Now the sad part is when we did our antenatal classes they stressed to us that a labour usually goes for about 10 - 16hrs. So, you can imagine I thought I was in the first stage of labour in fact I was in my third stage. So, I was mentally trying to wrap my head around the pain in how was I going to do this for another 10plus hrs. I spoke to myself and said " You can do this Lorelle ... You show 'em girl".
Adam's only way to get me into the car was to speak to me like a solider in command and quite firmly. Keep in mind Adam is a softely and well spoken guy.
Well, it worked ... and off we were on our big 5minute trip to the hospital (after some light-hearted swearing about not being able to put the seat-belt around me). Told him on no conditions was he to stop no matter how bad I looked (and of course to only stop at red lights, we don't want any trouble with the police here as Adam was once mistaken for someone of the same name here who had a warrant on them. Yeh, that was a warm welcome to Ballarat with a Cop at your front door after doing a hard days work).
Well, without going through the rest of the story ... Upon arriving at the hospital the stranger in the lift was incouraging - She told me to let out a yell if need be and then proceeded to chitchat with Adam - augh, so annoying at the time.
When exiting the lift I let out a loud moan with a surprising look on a teenager boys face who was about to put a coin into a vending machine. Best sex education he probably ever got outside of school.
My midwife had to sit me in a public waiting area because the hospital was surprising busy with bubs being born.
I was so worried I was going to frighten some innocent child coming into that area to come and visit their Mummy and new sibling.
Finally I was given the only available labor room to give birth but mention to the midwife I wanted to sit on the toilet. She said that's fine, we have had plenty of births on toilets. As you can see I'm no romantic about where my bub was going to be born.
Anyway, somehow i ended up on my back in a single bed amongst a few loud moans and yelps I told Adam in the nicest way to "Please don't talk so much" (which is so ironic seeing I'm a chatter, if you hadn'y guessed) and a couple of big pushes and my daughter was born at 11.39am (only 39mins after arriving at the hospital).
I looked at the two midwives and seriously couldn't understand why no one was cheering or clapping.
That night i ran my older sister to say my newborn looked like she was born with a tupee (wig) as she had so much hair ( which is so funny as that's the industry I worked before I had her, fitting and shaping clients with wigs who were bald from either having had chemo, etc...)
.... Hope you enjoyed my birthing story, though I must admit I did leave out some other funny bits : ) ... So, sorry it's a long one. Yeh, promise my next messages won't be as long !!!
Like you JODIE my partner is a several years younger than I. He turned 30, two months before Cendrine was born.
Hey, LEANNE our babies were only born three days apart. So, you would have had a Mothers Day maybe the day before ??
All the best to all you Mum's, ... Please feel free to ask me anything about my Motherhood experience ... believe me I feel a lot was unsaid about being pregnant, giving birth and finally becoming a parent. I truely think my friends left out an awful lot which I would myself be open to discuss with anyone from my own experiences. I certainly have my own brazen opinions and am quite frank and of course love to put a humourous spin on things
-
Shazz, hope you're feeling a tad better today.
Woohoo Tania hope it was exciting!
Hi Lorelle!!! Welcome hun. I'm mum to Darcy (the Dragon). She was born 12 hours after Leanne's Katy at the same hossy (we were in antenatal class together - and still meet up). We live in the middle of no-where and my DH is away for 4 months...so I spend a bit too much time here somedays lol.
woops the Dragon's awake...already.
