Sara ~ i'm doing tony ferguson atm and trying really hard to exercise more and yep you can get sciatica either side i know i do a lot
I'm still here, just laying low atm. Will be back soon.
Is Cam home yet Kim??
sara - i think its just for the Uni i am applying for. Yes it is so much easier now that they can tell us where they are hurting. LOL at Briley trashing the bedroom, for some reason Archie doesn't do that....can't work out why, strange child. Do you mean your mum is pregnant, or a mum that you are looking after?? Either way, woohoo how exciting, hope things happen very soon. i have a crappy slow camera too, haven't taken a single decent picture in 12 months i reckon
I have found a Childcare that i am REALLY happy with for Archie, they have room for him starting the week after next, 1 full day and 2 half days, he chucked a HUGE tanty this arvo when we left the centre, he wanted to stay, i don't reckon he'll have too much trouble settling in there wihtout me, I on the other hand will be a complete mess, the Director of the centre has a box of tissues waiting for me already!
Want to tell you al that my computer is riddled with viruses and keeps shuting itself down, so if all of the sudden you dont hear from me for a few weeks thats why. We were planing on getting a laptop at the end of the year, hoping this computer will hang on til then, dont like our chances though, i better get accepted into Uni so i can use theirs!
Morning girls,
Off to a Meet the Doula session thismorning. MIL is taking the girls for me while Brent is at work.
Shazz - I have a friend that does TF on and off. She loses quite a bit of weight while she is on too. I don't know if i could be strict enough on myself. I suppose living all the way out in the sticks away from and shops or supermarkets i would'nt have the temptation to go down and buy a shyte load of sweet stuff! Might have to look into i think. Well i think i must have sciatica in my left side. It seems to be getting worse. Its hard to describe the pain but if you make one wrong move it almost knocks you to the ground. Brent thinks i am making it up and calls me and old woman! Its not a joke though, it really hurts!
Kim - Everything all right hun????
Elissa - Nah not my mum, she has her tubes tied!!! A mum through Birth Buddies. Glad to hear that you found the right DCC for you and Archie. I am considering sending Briley back to DC for 1 or 2 days a week. She is driving me insane lately. I think its boredom. She is and outdoor kid and i am an inside person until late in the afternoon! Poor little girl. I really need to do something!
Briley has been coming into our beds everynight. We are finding it hard to keep her in her own bed lately. I am sure its justthe teeth and once they settle she will be back to her bed but she is waking up so much during the night. She sleeps fine in our bed but i don't want her to get used to it.
Anyone else have these problems???
Well i better get up and start getting ready. I want to go to Woolies and get the huggies nappies on special. Bulk boxes are $29.99 this week. I drove around for a day last week looking for them when i had the extra cash and now that i am half broke this week they are on special!!! GRRRRR!
Have a great day ladies!
sara - thats good of your MIL to take the girls for you, hope you enjoy your time out. I think Archie is getting bored too lately, he is an outside boy too, but there is only so much you can discover in your own litle backyard by yourself, he's gonna thrive at childcare i reckon. Hope you get some cheap nappies. We had the problem of Arch wanting to come to out bed during the night and waking up many times, i started getting stressed about it, then al of the sudden he is sleeping well again, think its just stages they go through unfortunately.
Arch had a weird night last night. He woke up at 1am boiling hot, dry reaching and breathing really fast. I set up the spare matress on the floor in our room for him as i expected him to be spewing all night, but after a couple of hours of chatting and whingeing, i gave him some Panadol and he happily went back to sleep, he is okay today slightly warmer than usual. he did the same thing about 6 months ago, dont know what it is, am putting it down to teeth as he has 3 eye teeth coming through atm, its easy to blame things on teeth isn't it.
hi everyone i promise i'll catch up i'm just so dam busy right now
Kim ~ i hope everything is ok
shazz - hi!
Hi Elissa how is Archie hope you had a lovely weekend i'll be back this week i promise take care everyone
Evening all. Please don't worry about me - just feeling a bit sorry for myself. I actually think I'm worried about how we're going to cope when Cam gets back. He's never lived here in this house and Darcy has changed so so much since he left. We have this abosultely perfect routine and she has never been this great ever. I'm getting a bit anxious he's going to do what he's always done before and say"well I do it this way'. It always stuffs her up and he never has any idea that it's his fault. How ungrateful does that sound? Yep you go to work and send me your big dollars home to spend. I'm having a lovely time here on my own. Sorry, rambling..... there are greater problems in the world. I'm so anxious about it though that I wish it was still another 2 months away......
Little monster did keep me up until midnight last night - she just wanted to play. Lucky I wasn't tired I guess.
Work has brought an abomination of stress. I'm doing two roles again. Both full time roles. Both 2 of the highest responsibility jobs in the station, on part time hours. I don't want to let the younger constables down either and they're the reason I keep going. Just wish someone noticed instead of making mountains out of molehills and creating more problems.....
When I was on my way to do groceries yesterday I saw there was no-one in the hairdresser, so I took Darcy in. She sat so perfectly still while the lady cut her whispy hair into a bob. It's her first haircut ever! and of course I didn't have the camera...oh well.
I'm still plugging away at the weightloss challenge. Have lost 4.5kgs so far. Took up running again this week. Nealry killed me, but it's what helped me to lose 20kgs for the accademy so I know it works. I've been taking Darcy to the park at the end. She loves it. Let myself have a day off the diet today and eat what I wanted without looking at thier points values. Feel better now and ready to start again tomorrw. Surprisingly didn't want too much crap.
Anyhoo, sorry thi is all about us....just needed a let down.
Lorelle, glad your scan was good.
Really hope Sheree tells us what she's having cos I'm really excited for her and desperatly want to know.
Sara how's that mum going? I often let Darcy do that in her room too. This afternoon she just played with her doll for over an hour. She chats away to it it's hilarious.
How's fulltime Chrstine?
Leanne how's Katy going?
Shazz thanks. Got it. Get back to you shortly - it might be bigger than I anticipated.
Tanya, I know I wanted to write something to you and I forget.
Elissa so glad you found a good centre for Archie. I wish I'd known how much I loved it and Darcy loved it. I would have done it sooner. Well worth the $60 a day. What do you plan on doing after that prep year? I'm so proud of you girls.
Sara have you heard anything yet about uni?
 kim i'm sure if you talk to Cam about how your feeling it just might make him understand how hard you've worked to get Darcy to where she is at and quite possibly he may make the changes nessary (sp) to live in harmony i know i feel a great lot less stressed when my Dh goes on business trips ( even though he rings me 2 times a day to rub it in that he is sitting by the pool drink in hand soaking up the good life - the bugger he is ) if you want to rant scream throw a mickey come on in here we are here for you you know that
Evening ladies,
Kim - Good to hear from you hun. Glad that nothing to serious is bothering you. I can understand you angst about Cam coming back and stuffing up your routine. Fingers crossed he just sit back and does what you tell him to do! ;) Yep i have heard back from UniSA. Did'nt get into BMID in the first round of offers but did get into BNSc. I declined and wanted to keep my first preference of BMID going for the 2'nd round offers. I don't suspect that i will get in but we will see. If i don't get it i will be heading back to JCU and doing my BNSc externally for the 1'st year than i will apply for a transfer to UniSA for the BMID. I hope that was'nt to confusing!
Elissa - I hope Archie is feeling better tonight.
Briley has been acting really weird at night lately. She won't sleep in her room. She will go to sleep in there but wakes up about 2 hours later and won't go to sleep in her bed. Brent had to sit up with her until 12 lastnight before she went to bed. I am not sure wether its a separation thing or wether she is feeling scared in the room. But why all of a sudden now?
Still waiting on the mum to do into labour. She has been booked in for an induction on wednesday but she is'nt going to go. She is adamant about not having an induction. She and baby are perfectly healthy so there is no real need for one.
Well i am so tired tonight. Hi to you all. Hope you are all well....
Night!
kim - im sos orry you are feeling so anxious about Cam's return. I can definately see where you are coming from though, thats 1 good thing about single parenting, you get to make all the decisions about child raising yourself without having to compromise, im sure it will take a little bit for both yourself nd Darcy to adjust to having Cam home again, but you will both cope just fine. Big hugs kim. When does Cam actually get home?? oh, darcy must look so grown up now with her bob! Arch still hasn't got enough hair for a hair cut. Huge well done on the weight loss!! thankyou so much for your support and encouragement. Typical me, i have totally changed what im doing re: study and care though! Have an interview with a FDC lady tomorrow arvo, interested to see how Archie responds to her...BTW, just remember that we are all here for you, especially when things are a bit tough and you need a release, imena goodness, how much whinging have i done in the last 6 months, you were always there for me when i really needed it, and i will always be here for you too x
sara - bummer about not getting an offer for BMID int he first round, keeping my fingers crossed for you for second round. Archie went through the same sort of thing at night time a couple of months ago, dont know what caused it, but he did eventually get back to normal again. There were many times i ended up bringing him to bed with me, but i think persisting with keeping him in his bed worked in the end.
I had a big long think abut study/work/childcare, and have completely changed what im doing (typical me!). After visiting all the childcare centres and seeing the kids and chatting with the workers, i started to feel my passion for childcare come back again (i worked in Childcare for 12 months when i left school, but didn't finish the study), so i am enrolled in Cert III Children's Services through Cengage (used to be Thompson Education), after that i will do my Diploma. So the study is completely external, so now im not sure whether to put Archie into care or not, have an interview with a FDC lady tomorrow, so will see how that goes.
Gotta go, Archie is whinging at the bedroom door....
HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!
Its been awhile, just incase some of you do remember me I wanted to pop in and say hello!! Its me, Vic (was neverplan username) with baby Adam. I've had to re-register.
I went to update something in Adam's baby book only to discover that it was completely empty. So I thought this would be the only place where things might be recorded. Thank god for posting on the internet.
Sheree and Tania - Congratulations! I was very surprised to see that you are both having another baby.
All the babies are looking gorgeous (I went and checked out the galleries).
Vic
Afternoon Girls!
Just got back from a birth. So very tired!
Baby GIRL was born at 12.28pm. No weights or mesaurements while i was there. Quite a small baby but she was beautiful all the same. It was a very emotional experience for all involved. Baby latched immediately!!!
Mum and bubs are doing very well....
Well i am stuffed! I can't believe how tired i am from the experience.
Welcome back VIC!!! Ofcourse we remember you hun!
Hope you are all well....
BBL!
yay Vic we missed you  i did the same thing with Ryans babiesonline i lost the lot for not logging in before the time frame ran out it is so good to have you back
Thankyou all!
Feel much better sort of.....
Hey Vic! Did Dylan start school this year? Do your ILs still suck? I moved 600km away from mine lol.
That's great Elissa! Unless you can earn big $$$$ you have to do something you're passionate about.
Cool Sara!
Yep, Dylan has now started school, he's in prep and Hayley is grade 2. Mel and Adam are now in cc 3 days a week. 2 days I'll be working with DH and 1 day to myself.
kim - IL's have actually sort of improved. DH's grandparents finally met the kids at xmas time and that seems to have made a huge difference to MIL's attitude about the kids. Its like shes now allowed to acknowledge them. IL's even had 2 older kids for 2 nights in a row a few weeks back just because. FIL still treats dylan like a god and the others like crap but MIL knows this and does her best to make up for it and try to change him.
Adam has been a right little bugger, into everything.
kim - so is cam not living with you anymore? or is that just temporary?
sara - wow to becoming a doula. Are you enjoying it?
No no - even though I have wished him away. He went to the NT to work on a taskforce at the beginning of October - the day after we moved to a country police station. So Darcy and I have been living by ourselves for a while. I have to say we love it and my little person is going on 25 lol. Will be an adjustment next week.
I'm so glad things are better between you all. I was only thinking about you the other day.
OMG Vic YAY *squeals with delight* I am so so happy to see you in here!!! Glad to hear that things are going well and that the IL's have improved! Are you staying now?? Pwetty pwease.... lol
Girls, I suck I know!! Will be in for personals later tonight I promise! I love you all.
sure nat.....:P
vic - hi! great to hear from you! Hope you and the kids are all happy and healhty and enjoying the new year.
sara - woohoo on the birth!
kim - glad your feeling slightly better about things. yeah, i certainly wont be earning the big bucks in childcare but at least i'll enjoy it
nat - yeah you suck! LOL, no you dont, you just have a busy life!.....wheres those promised personals????? Are you looking forward to going back to uni next month?
Archie refused to have a sleep today, we went to a friends birthday tea and at 9:00 Archie fell down the stairs (didn't do any damage, except to his pride!) and that was the end of him, he was absolutely beside himself. I took him straight home, and as soon as we pulled in the driveway and started crying "bed, bed, bed" he didn't stop saying it til he was snuggled in his bed and i reckon he fell asleep before i closed the door! Am happy with myself, someone at the birthday asked if i was going to have any more kids i told them no, and they went on about how Archie will have "only child syndrome, blah blah blah" and i actually stood up for myself and told them i wasn't interested in risking PND for a second time, and that shut them up quick smart, yay for me, i usually dont say anything and then stew on it for months.
I know, I know... I am such a shocker aren't I!!!
Honestly every time I sit down though something comes up. Like right now I have a naughty toddler running around eating pretzels lol. Okay now he has lost interest and is instead massaging my feet and arms with moisturizer. I have no idea where he learnt that from but I'm not complaining lol.
So very quickly...
Sara OMG at your first birth that is amazing you lucky thing!
Ellissa I am looking forward to it and I'm not. I swear I need some sort of structure to keep me organized but I am really not looking forward to having Em back in CC 3 days a week. Right now I miss him when I'm at work. I'm gonna hate leaving him so much again :( That is fantastic that you stood up for yourself! And besides don't those people know that there is middle child syndrome, baby of the family syndrome... in fact there is a syndrome for every number lol. Looks like you'll be on the study band wagon as well YAY!
Kim Oh wow its time for Cam to come back already! I know exactly how you feel to a point with someone coming in and 'disturbing' things. You get used to being on your own and doing things your way as I'm sure you know. Buggar about missing her first hair cut. Have you got a photo? I am growing Em's out and it is starting to look like a mushroom cut lol. Very cute!
Sheree are you telling us the sex or keeping it a secret???
Christine Are you working full time now :o
Alright guys that is all I can see! Lame personals I know. I will try and get back in sometime this week. Please know that I always read and I still care heaps!
love to you all!
Elissa: I told the new boss that I might not come back to work after the baby and he freaked out saying I have to.....Its nice to feel wanted ;). Well done on the course! And finding a good place for Archie! Jayden’s been having his day naps late at about 2pm which makes me think he might be getting out of his day sleeps
Sara: It was me that had dizziness before, I put it down to low blood pressure and tiredness. I haven’t had it checked recently but I have my 1st Ob appt Thursday. No idea about hte birth just yet, just want a healthy baby in a reasonable time LOL If the birth went exactly the same as Jayden’s I would be happy (obviously thats not going to happen though). I promise I’m doing anything to the managers ;). Yay for the safe birth! Have they named her? Where are those pictures of the girls??
Kim: Hope everything is ok, I know what you mean about men disrupting the routine. I hope everything goes well for you. Well done on the weight loss!
WELCOME BACK VIC!! I was just thinking of you the other day! Thanks for the congratulations! Great to hear the IL’s are getting better. Jayden has started to get into things that he never has before lately......least they grow out of it eventually hehe
Nat: I’ll swap toddlers if you like, I could do with a massage!
On Sunday Jayden needed some “alone” time so he took himself to his room layed on his big toy dog and read books. I went to check on him & he had his dummy so he quickly laid down on the dog & pretetded he was going to sleep. I just left him & Chris & I checked on his about half hour later, we thought he was asleep, but instead he had found my jar of Nutrimetics Nutrarich oil and had opened it and put it all over himself, his books, his dog, the carpet!! I couldn’t believe it, he has never gotten into anything like it before (my fault for leaving it in his room though). So my $47 bottle has a tiny tiny bit left in the bottom...lucky you don’t a lot at a time!
I better give Jayden some breakfast & get ready for work, have a great day!
Hi Vic welcome back.....
nat - can you send Em to my place, i'd love a massage! oh it must be hard missing them during the day. thanks, you have given me a great comeback! I love that, i have never even thought about middle child syndrome and all the rest, genius! we love you too, and we know you are a busy woman!
tania - gosh you must be so good at your job, bet you've got the boss peeing his pants now LOL! when Arch has a sleep its not til 1:30 or later as well, bummer i thought he'd be having day sleeps til he started kindy. OMG at the oil!!! did you manage to clean it out of the carpet okay?
leanne - hi, hows things?
Arch slept in til 9:30 this morning, bliss! He has been Mr Crankypants all day though, he is in his bed now, i just hope he has a sleep today. DH just applied to SATAC for Bachelor of Nursing, if he gets accepted he will just be doing 1 subject at a time til Arch goes to school and i start working full time, then he'll study full time and just do aybe casual enrolled nursing or something, anyway, that is the grand plan for now, im sure knowing us, that it'll change many times by then!
Ellissa WTG for your DH! I have a super soft spot for male nurses! Smart move to get his foot in the door now too. It will make the transition to full time study easier for him later. The massage was very very cute!
Tania Oh no... that oil is so expensive and lovely! What a waste!!! I bet he smelt lovely though lol! How is everything going pregnancy wise? (scuse me if I've missed posts lol). I am still so excited about you and Sheree!
Well I've just updated the Weight Loss Challenge and I am so impressed with everything! We have as a group lost a huge amount of weight and cms!! Amazing stuff!! Even I have managed to do alright :D
Now its time to pay some bills before I get into trouble lol  Internet banking makes life so much easier but I am still too lazy to get on to it and pay bills.. honestly - I am hopeless!!!
Tania - PMSL, adam does things like that on a daily basis. Last week he emptied a container of hundreds and thousands onto the girls bedroom floor. Not the easiest thing to vacuum up. This morning he squirted a water bottle all over the floor. I have a very long list of things that he has done wrong.
Elissa - Good luck for your DH, hope he gets accepted into nursing. Are you going back to FT work soon?
Lea - what are you doing a weight loss challenge for? Photos of you are always of a skinny minnie LOL.
kim - good to hear that you and DH are intentionally seperated.
Off to pick up kids from school.
nat - ooo i'll have to keep an eye on you then LOL! yeah its great that he is taking baby steps with this, at the moment it will take him 12 years to finish the course, but it wont cause in a few years time i will support him and he can do it full time. Great going with the weightloss challenge! Oh i stuffed up the bills last week and now we are overdrawn in both acounts!! I haven't done that for years, i paid too many bills, at least the bills are paid though iguess.
vic - no im not going back to full time work til Arch is settled into school.
been ringing around all the kindys and primary schools and finding out when to enroll and what the costs are etc etc. There is 1 private school i really like and 2 little public schools i like, will probably enroll in all of them and pick one when the time comes.
Elissa: No I haven’t got it out of the carpet yet but its not really that noticable, I’ll probably get it steam cleaned or something. GL chosing a school! I have enroll Jayden in Kinder soon as there are only 3 descent Kinders in Bundy and they fill up fast!
Nat: He did smell good...but I put him straight in the bath so it didn’t last long, although you could smell it as you walked in his room. Well done on your weight loss but I have to agree with Vic......you don’t need to lose weight you look great in the pics I’ve seen! Pregnancy is going well, not sick at all anymore but I do get bouts of tiredness & a little dizzy which I’d say is my BP. I have my first Ob appt tomorrow arve....I’m so excited! I am just enjoying the journey this time round, time is flying and I am actually looking forward to the birth (crazy I know!). I must admit I have had a couple of negative thoughts the last day or so because of something I read.....but I know better than to worry about things that probably won’t happen so I have just been dismissing them as soon as I think them.
Vic: Poor you! I’d go nuts I think with hundreds & thousands haha Nearly all kids go through it though don’t they? Least we know they grow out of it
Where is everyone? Its been so quiet! I keep wondering what Chris is going to be like when the new baby is here....He doesn’t acknowledge the pregnancy at all, tells me to “stop going on about it” if I briefly mention anything about it.....and he has been saying the line I hated most when Jayden was born “Well you wanted kids” It annoys the $hit out of me! I told him if he says it again he will have no kids....then I said the ony reason I’m still here is because of the house! I felt bad about saying it but he hasn’t said it since either.
This morning I got up and had a shower, I had just gotten out of the water and Chris yelling at me asking what I was doing because Jayden was crying (Chris was asleep) He said I had been in the bathroom for ages and Jayden wants a bottle...I asked why he couldn’t get it but he ignored me so I had to stop what I was doing to make Jayden a bottle, poor little guy was hysterical by this time. Chris ended up getting up but OMG was he in a bad mood! He was picking at me for little things I had or hadn’t done....I just laughed at him and told him maybe he should call his work and pre-warn them that he had his grumpy pants on today LOL I love patronising him when he’s in a mood. I told him not to bother coming home tonight if he was still in a bad mood. I haven’t spoken to him since so who knows.......Sorry for the rant!
Vic - Pics of me from last year were skinny minny lol! I put on 8kgs from last summer :o and was quite disgusted with myself. Mind you I carried it well and was still a size 10 so no biggie. But the biggest part was I didn't fit into any of my clothes lol  Add to that I wasn't exercising and eating take away over 10 times a week  I felt rotten and decided a life style change was needed. Hence the reason for the challenge. Its been great. The biggest changes have me going to the gym 5 times a week and sweating it out hard. And cooking in the kitchen... I actually cook dinner and eat healthy stuff lol. Which is amazing. What's going on in your life? Is everything ok? What happened regarding the sudden departure? Email me if you like...
Tania It is very quiet in here eh! Oh Chris would annoy me!!! How could he not be amazed by your gorgeous belly??? I would have hit him if he had done that to me this morning lol. What is with men??? And you're not crazy at all! I am so looking forward to my next labour and birth and I'm not even PG lol. Yea it hurt at the time but I really embraced it and enjoyed the whole experience so much! Glad to hear things are going well so far. Can't wait to hear how your appointment goes!
Ellissa I was extremely lazy and didn't pay my bills for ages lol. But they're all done and up to date now which is a relief. I have Em's name down for a private school here that goes R through to Year 12. I am also considering putting him down at another private primary school and then having him go to my old high school as well. I really want him to go to school with his cousins though. The school is slightly out of my way, one is a few minutes around the corner and the other is 5 - 10 mins down the highway. I'm still weighing up my options - I might just put his name down at both and see where I'm at when he starts school. You never know hey?
I am craving chocolate mud cake.... mmmmmm! Pity there is none here lol. Not much else happening here. Spent the day at home for a change and got lots of paperworky stuff done. Still have a heap to do but its a start lol.
Hello everyone, busy over here. Nothing exciting though, just working and life in general....
Katy's been good, work has been good, Mark is good, so all is good!
I've been reading all the posts, and had so much to say, but now haven't got a clue. Der....
Well... I'll be back a little later. Missy is really NOT wanting to go to bed tonight, so better tend to my little princess.
Love to all
MWAH
Oh, Nat, is it too late to put my weight and cm's lost in? It's not much, but every little bit helps eh.
tania - oh no at Chris not seeming veryu interested or supportive of the pregnancy, that must make things very hard in your household. LOL at your patronising him, bet that makes him happy! Sometimes "fathers" find it a litle too easy to ignore their children dont they?! For some reason (probably the childs survival) mothers arent as easily able to ignore their children. hope Chris was in a better mood when he got home.
nat - yeah i figure is i enroll him at every school that i like then we will at least get get a decent choice whent he time comes. The 2 private schools in our town are R-12 too, but actually it seems to be the trend that kids start moving over to the public high schools in year 11....not quite sure why, quite a few kids did the move when i was in high school and apparently it is still being done now...will have to investigate the reasons behing the moves..Do you know what kindy Em is going too? We have a public kindy almost next door to us and its the best in town, Arch is enrolled there, but i have an appointment with the prvate kindy next week to check it out, it is already almost full for his year! How many cousins does Em have, do they go to a school near you? It would be good for him to go to a school where he knws other kids. It looks like my uncle and aunty and their 6 and 3 year old boys are moving here from victoria in the next couple of months so i think it would be nice for Arch to go t school with them, they are trying to get them into a really gorgeous little country school, so that might sway our decision when the time comes too. it feels so good to get all the bills paid finally doesn't it, our pile is going to be gone by the end of this month i reckon, i cant wait, we haven't been bill free for a few months now, and im sick of looking at the ever increasing pile.
leanne - fantastic to hear that you and your family are all good. Hope katy went off to sleep with out too much trouble tonight.
When i was on the computer earlier today, Archie found a heap of bubble wrap and took it outside to have a play. After a while i could hear him coming inside saying "cool, cool" then he sidled up to me with the bubble wrap, wrapped around him like a dress and looked up at me, puffed up his little chest and exclaimed "cool, mum, cool!" he is starting to get such a fun little personality.
Archie is up to day 3 without a day sleep OMG, what if its gone for good!!!! Im sure there will always be days for a few more years where he'll need to have a bit of a catch up sleep, but it really seems as if the regular day sleeps have disappeared. he actually copes really well without them too, gets more emotional than usual at times of extreme frustration, but generally still manages to follow instructions, use manners and not whinge too much. We shall see what the rest of the wek brings...
Got a letter of acceptance from Uni today, was pleased that i got in even though im not doing that course any more, would love to do Bach of Education one day, but would have to go to the city for that, and im not that keen to do it! We have a Uni campus down here now but they only offer 3 degrees, Business, Nursing and Social Work, none of which really interest me unfortunately.
Gosh i am blabbering on,
Leanne Def forward them through! It's a good record to keep. Glad that things are going well with you too. Its always nice to hear.
KIM Is Cam home now? How are things settling in???
Ellissa There are 3 cousins going there and also a few other close friends that he will have known from about 6 months lol (mothers group). Sometimes I feel slightly silly choosing a school based on consideration of his cousins but perhaps its alright. I also feel a bit sad that we'll never get to walk to school lol. But we could end up moving... you never know. And even if I transfer him down to the campus closer to us we still wouldn't be able to walk anyway. How funny that I hadn't even thought about kindy yet lol. There is a private Montessori one near us which I have considered putting him into but I'm not sure I can afford it as there are no concession rates. I should look into the local kindys and see if they're zoned or not actually. Its not that far away scarily enough... How cute of Archie with the bubble wrap! I hope he hasn't dropped his day sleeps just yet! I love those 2 hours during the day to myself not to mention that Em is feral with out it!
Alright now I am rabbitting on and probably could for hours. I think perhaps this was my way of avoiding the ironing lol. I will start it at least and then finish it off tomorrow!
Chat later ladies *mwah*
Quick hello girls, I have been working every day but I have Fridays off as of this week. I seem to spend my whole life either working or driving someone somewhere! Glad things are OK with all of you, lovely to see you back Vic. Will try and get in here on friday for some personals.
nat - i think taking Em's little cousins and friends into consideration is a great idea, he wouldn't neccessarily be in the same classes as them but at least he would know that they are close by. Yes kindy isn't that far away at all. i read through the prospectus for the local Catholic R-12 school nd OMG there is no way i will be sending him there, they just seem really judgemental and self righteous and thats not how i want to raise my son im afraid, so at least i've ruled 1 option out, 3 to go. Arch is sound asleep finally! 4 days without a sleep was tomuch for him thank goodness cause he was getting very feral!
christine - dont ya just love being "mums taxi" it must be so annoying!
Archie has finally caved after 3 days without a day sleep he is in bed snoring away, thank goness cause he was quite the little feral this morning! his cold seems to have come and gone without too much fuss, will be able to go to playgroup in the morning i reckon.
i ate 3 tim tams today..... ummm maaaaah! 6 points in total.
oh well. only one point over today.
might go on the bike for a bit!
all good over here. not too water logged. we have had four days of continuous rain and storms, it's unbelievable.
Oh send it out here.....we've got none.....there was a big stormy tantrun yesterday at 5am but then it only rained for an hour - not enough to even penetrate the dirt. It's so dry and staticy out here you should see the lightning!
For those who asked Cam's not home until Wednesday night. Only a week of snore free sleeps to go :(lol
Schools - OMG I haven't even contemplated them yet. Why on earth do you have to book them into preschool now? Darcy's daycare has a kindy attached - do'nt they just progress through the ranks?
I bought Darcy 3 pairs of new shoes today - size 7. And one's way too small....
OMG Kim size 7 and they're too small... eek! I bought Em 3 pairs the other day in size 7 and they're all too big lol! I did remember today that Em's childcare is attached to the kindy next door and he will get in there no hassles which is reassuring for me. But the school attached to that is out of my zone which is why I am looking into schooling. I am not sure where I'll be living by then and I'm not happy with all of the public schools in my area which is why I want Em in private. Which of course means you have to start putting their names down now lol. Not long till Cam is home then...
Ohhh Leanne Tim Tams - heaven! I have a choccie frog in the fridge which I might have lol. I have done worse then you today... try a junior whopper meal with a storm on the side *blushes* Darn kids wanting HJ's for dinner lol.
Ellissa Glad to hear Arch went down for his sleep finally. Good luck with the other 3 options!
Christine Good to see you popping through. Hope to see you in here tomorrow! ;)
Today I went and bought new gym shoes YAY! They are so comfy and I can't wait to try them out tomorrow at the gym. I went to Footlocker first and I have to say the service was shocking. After explaining what i wanted them from she pointed out two shoes in my price range and when I asked the difference she said there wasn't much. And the shoe felt exactly the same as my current one did which I wasn't paying $150 (the lowest price) for! And that's the extent of it... The guy at Sports Power however was sooo nice. Explained to me what sort of shoe I needed and why. He then showed me 3 or 4 shoes starting from $60! I tried them all on and took my pick. Much happier there and the shoes are so so comfy and extra wide to accomodate my wide feet lol. They are pretty plain looking but its only the gym eh?
Alright that's enough non-baby related dribble from me lol. Em is super tired and has been in bed for half an hour but is still crying grrr. Have a lovely Thursday night ladies.
leanne - i bet those 3 Tim tams tasted really great though LOL, how very strong of you stopping at 3 too!
kim - wow at the size of Darcy's feet! Archie is size 6 atm and they are huge. Im sure that if you took the casual approacha n ust let them slide into kindy and school every thing would be fine, its just that there are 2 particularly bad public primary schools in our town that i really dont want Archie to have to attend, that is why i am researching and enrolling now in the hope that i will get a decent school when the time comes.
nat - sounds as if you and i have similar concerns regarding primary schools, there are 2 public primary schools here that i really dont wish him to attend so that is why i am thinking i might enrol him in a private school JIC he doesn't get to go to a decent public school, not surenow that i have read about one of the private schools though...decisions decisions...woohoo on the new gym shoes, its great having a comfy supportive new pair of runners. Hope Em went to sleep without too much more crying.
Arch slept for and hour and a hlaf today but now at 9 o'clock he is still not ready to sleep....they dont make it easy do they. Playgroup in the morning, yay, Arch is hanging out for some extra stimulation atm!!
