Tania so glad you had a good day. I laughed at your bit about the housework. I never thought getting the housework done well would feel like such an achievment!
I have thought about the whole egg donation thing before too. I know a few people that are desperate for shildren and are stuggling. I know though it has to be after a couple of years after you've had your last and final child (well it is here in NSW). I don't know about a total stranger but close friends and family i definitely would. I'd even probably thing about surrogacy for them if it meant that much.
I also wanted to add to my 'questions' - the one about the talking
Ever since Darcy was born when you put the dummy in and she is tired she says oioioioioioioi. It's so cute. When she's cranky she says it really fast and just as sh'e dropping off she whispers. But its the best thing to say back to her when she's in her bed struggling to settle. It's like she understands that.....sorry just rambling. It's lucky for her she is so cute.

Boy a lot has happened in these past few days. It's hard to keep up with you ladies...

Bec: Congrats on the new bub in the family. I love the name Mia. I sometimes miss the newborn stage too as my dd slept more then but then that's all she did, but the way she interacts now is much better. Especialy when she gets the poopies and tells you off!....

Jodie: What a dramatic weekend you had last weekend - poor thing. It's good to hear that things are settling down now a bit re the suicidal lady. Must have been pretty scary stuff tho. And good on the person who handed in your phone. People like that are far and few between these days. It's also good to hear that Shaun is growing so well. I hope it continues well for you.

Tania: you poor thing with the bath incident and your IL's crowding your space and little Jayden's. I think you handled it very well. I would not have been able to be so polite.

Sara: Hope Briley's tear duct clears up. Kaitlyn has the same thing. Sometimes when she wakes her eye is full of green goop and she can barely open her eye. She did have a round of eye drops for it about a month ago, and they helped. Picked up another bottle today..... :) They also say massage helps, but my dd won't let me near that section of her face. It's hard enough keeping the drops in !!

Shazz: Well done for getting to work on time. I don't think I could do it; going back to work AND getting there on time. I have gotten too used to having the little sleep after the 4:00 am feed.

Well today we went and had a look at the pics taken last week. They turned out okay, but not as well as I had hoped. My dh did not even sit down at the table with me, he stood behind me.... Can you believe that? And he's a VERY tall man, so I felt a little uncomfortable. So there I am looking at the pics and the lady says, you can buy photos individually, or the whole package for $1300. WHAT?!!! There were only about 7 A4 size sheets (actually I think they were smaller), and a lot of the pics my dd had her tongue out. She has a pressure mark at the top of her nose and on her right eyelid, and because she was so upset on the day it's bright red in most of the photos. I asked DH "so what do you think", and he said " I don't like any of them", so I was put on the spot. We ended up agreeing on taking one pic for $70, together with the freebie that was part of the initial deal and went on our way.....

My last few days have been better. Kaitlyn has been feral at night these past couple of nights but has gotten some good day naps in. Yesterday I walked up to the community nurse and had her weighed etc, and then a good friend came and shared some quiche and her great company with me.

Anyway, another long post from me, so I best be off. Still have that housework to do. Did not end up doing it all the other day as I got sidetracked with quilting....

Hi Girls,

OMG you girls can talk up a storm....so much to catch up on, well too much to catch up on actually.

Phoebe is gradually getting back to her old self...Like some of you have mentioned, I too now believe that it was just a growth spurt. I tell you what I feel like a jersy cow after the past week. I have had such a huge boost to my milk supply that the other morning I actually leaked, which hasn't happened in such a long time. I haven't had to worry about boob pads for at least 2 months and the past few days I have made sure I have put them in when I have gone out, just in case. She has gone from sleeping through the night to waking 3 times a night, now it is down to 1, so hoping it gets back to normal soon. It has been such a shock to the system having to get up during the night to feed, as I haven't had to do it since she was 4 weeks old. I tell you what having broken sleep is just not for me, as I guess it is for all of us. I feel like sh*t in the morning. I shouldn't complain as overall I have had it pretty good with little miss. I feel a bit guilty complaining as some of you have had it really tough with sleep and feeding issues, so I should thank my lucky stars.

Leanne ~ aren't men such pains in the *ss, and DH making you feel uncomfortable, now that is a typical male act. I guess it was probably a good thing that he was so honest about the pics as you don't want to spend that sort of money on photos you aren't completely happy with. Gee, professional pics are so expensive??

Never ~ Talking about egg donation, I've got a friend who did that. One successful pregnancy with the arrival of a little girl. I think she found it quite rewarding, to give the gift of a child. She saw herself as fortunate to have had 2 beautiful, healthy children (she later had another 2) and wanted to do something very special for a childless couple.

Angelique ~ I loved your answer to 'the best thing about having kids', the way that Katerina looks at you, like you are the best thing in the world...that's because to her you are. Such a huge responsibility to be a mum, but it is those little things that make it worthwhile, keep us all grounded and make our hearts melt. How are the nights going for you and Katerina? I know that at around 4 months, babies like routine and their days to be predictable so as she approaches that age, here's hoping that it all comes together for you both.

Kellee ~ So have you had a few days of rest or slowed down at least to catch your breath...such a busy bee, big plans for the weekend???

Nat ~ Have you started Em at Kindergym?? If so how is he going? I'm hoping to get Samuel started soon. I need to get him involved a bit more with other kids, he starts kindy in 14 months *sigh*, so he needs to be out socalising a bit more. Are you going to the Show on the weekend? I am so looking forward to it, Samuel should be big enough to go on a few of the kiddies rides.

Gee it's quiet in here today, nothing since midnight...
I am really thinking someones swapped my baby.....now she sleeps after a morning feed and again after the next one - in her bed even!!! Goes straight to sleep at 6.30 and doesn't wake until about 2.30 - today it was 4am!!!!!
Also, I know some of you didn't have screamers, but have you noticed they have started crying less? Or am I just getting the hang of this and she's not so scared anymore? LOL

Tania ~ Inspection went really well thanks for asking. LOL @ hiding 2 dogs and a cat – how on earth did you manage that?? I am going to ask my landlords if I can have a dog sometime next year as we want to get Emerson a puppy for Christmas next year! Hopefully they will say yes!! I’m sorry but 11 people is just too many people to be watching a baby bath LOL – the poor little boy. Its hard when you need to tell people to back off but those people are family who don’t really listen… Glad to hear you had a great day anyway. I love moving furniture around – so much fun!!!

Vic ~ Good on you for sticking to your guns with the solids issue and your sister. I seriously don’t know who people think they are. I would never tell ANYONE what I think they should be doing with their kids. I would make suggestions but I would never think to know more about a child then his/her mother!! And apparently the el cheapo teats are the best!! I hope that lump is just a milk build up hun! Sounds as though Adam loves his playtime as much as Em does!! :eek: @ all the sick kids as well.

Kellee ~ Ticker and cute pic back up ;). He has lost interest in his feet again – now its back to jamming his fists into his mouth!! LOL @ the worst nappy ever from Toby.

When he is tired and you pop the dummy in he sits there and says that so angrily while he’s fighting sleep lol. OMG goes to bed @ 6.30??? What do you do for the rest of the night LOL??? Em is up until 12 still – at least he is consistent!! Em has definitely started crying less – or maybe his cries have changed…. He knows what the bottle is though lol and will be quiet if he sees me preparing that for him hehe!!

Mummy ~ I went to kindergym week before last however this week I had afternoon tea with my SIL so I didn’t go. I think I will try and make it every week from now on though. That would be so cute to Samuel on the kiddie rides. I have my Dad visiting tomorrow and then I’m working Sunday so there is no show for me this year. I took my sister a few years back and there wasn’t really much there then. It is fun though!! I used to love being able to enter things @ school to appear in the show LOL. And it was Lisa who donated wasn’t it??

I think I’m in trouble… last feed was at 12.30 and now he’s asleep and hasn’t feed since… oh well. This is a mammoth post isn’t it?? Not much happening here. I’ve had a really good week though. I’ve got lots of little stuff done. My uni application is almost ready to go in which I’m so excited about it. DP & BIL have been acting like little kids and both now have remote control aeroplanes LMAO. BIL has already smashed one into a goal post ROFL so we will see how long this phase lasts. I think it will be awhile – the last remote control gadget was DP’s remote control car. He swears its really all for Emerson and Lucas hehe… yeah right I say!!

Nat I do the rest of the stuff I can't get done throughout the day becasue Darcy doesn't like being left to her own devices! You eat, go to the loo, have a shower....speaking of which, Cam's on arvos again, might disregard the water restrictions and have a long one for a change....

LOL @ having a long shower!!! When I lived at home we had to have 6 min showers!! They were timed and my step-dad would start banging on the door if we went over. Now I normally have 2 showers a day without a time limit hehe!! Very naughty of me!!

Hehe kim what an excellent idea! Gordon is stuck on the idea of getting socks for Fathers Day - I have no idea why LOL. But he's getting his socks ;). I'm also getting him a photo album for himself as his brag book is almost full in 3 short months and god knows what he will do with all his shots!! I have also ordered a mug with a photo of Emerson printed on it. He wanted something for his desk and I thought that was a bit better then a photo frame and picture! Its actually a bigger shot of the one in my ticker. So cute!! And of course chocolate covered almonds because they are his favourite. And I can't wait to get a really cute card!!! Do you think that is all special enough for his first Fathers Day??

Fathers Day gift: I've got two bedtime books about "loving Dad". And I've bought some putty stuff and I'm going to shape it into a plaque then do an impression of Shauns hand & foot and write "happy fathers day ABA" (dad in hebrew) - and put the date. Then I will paint it up.
I keep buying toys for Shaun... and most are 6 month+, and my stepmum said I should put them aside and give them at Christmas time! Good idea! I guess we're going to have to think like that and buy presents during the specials and put them aside for birthdays & christmas! Luckily our kids birthdays are mid-year.

First to answer my own question Egg Donations: I would donate my eggs to a very select few of my friends and family, but only after I have finished having my children. Surrogacy I wouldn't do, I think I would get too attached and not be able to give up the child!!

Kim: Jayden is alway starting the "oioioioi" thing esp when he is tired and fighting it! How cute Darcy fading out as she is falling asleep!! Getting the housework done is def an achievement now...I even find myself saying what DP's says.."See I did the dishes today?....See I vacuumed?" LOL and sometimes "See I did S**T all today and I'm still buggered" LOL. Jayden is probably crying a bit more in the last week or 2 but overall I think its got better and I know what he is crying for!!

I hope the lump turns out to be just milk, I had a lump in my boob when I was 18 it was harmless but very scary!!

Mummy: I'm glad Phoebe is getting back to normal - Jayden went through the growth spurt but I don't feel like my milk supply has increased, I still don't need to use breast pads and even by the morning I'm not sore from being so full like I had been. I am drinking sustagan now as I have heard that works to build supply. I felt a bit bad having my whinge cause overall I have it good - then I have one day that is bad and everyone has to know about it LOL. You need to get it out though no matter if its not as bad as someone elses problems or not IYKWIM.

Nat: LMAO @ your DP and BIL sounds like Chris....he wanted a remote control helcopter...thank god the SLR camera took priority haha Good luck with your uni app!! One house inspection we had when we first moved out together, we had a rabbit that we weren't meant to have and I hid him in the little room under the stairs and he was scratching to get out when the agent was there LOL luckily if he did hear it he didn't say anything....I heard it though! I used to tell the agent we were looking after the dogs for a friend and the cat was always outside..hmm must be the neighbours hehehe or we would get someone to take the dogs for a walk while the agent was there. LOL @ DP WANTING socks haha I threaten DP with "if you don't tell me what you want you will get sock n jocks!!" haha The mug is a great idea!! Get a pic of it to show us haha

Well I'm posting at this ungodly hour because I'm tossing up whether to wake Em or not for a bottle. I ended up waking him @ 7.30 for a feed and then went to my parents where he went absolutely feral, had another bottle :eek: and then I ended up bringing him home!! He feel asleep in the car and has been asleep since but he has only had 4 bottles today and needs another one. My guess is he will be awake soon any way.

Vic ~ The canvas sounds gorgeous. I can't wait till Em is old enough to start making gifts. They will be so much more special then the bought ones!! You won't believe it but I have been scrapbooking!!! I did 3 more pages and I'm now up to week 24 of my pregnancy LOL. The best part is I love these pages - they are great!!! Anyway I have a small load of washing to hang up and then I will wake the boy if he isn't awake.

The mug idea is a great one, so I Vic's idea - how are you going to manage not to get paint everywhere though with it on feet and hands of wiggly kids? I really want to do this with Darcy, but i think I'll have to take her outside and cover everything she can reach with a cloth nappy so it can be bleached LOL.That's a great site Vic, but I'm with you, I reckon you could do that yourself.
Cam's birthday is only two weeks after fathers day, so he gets two rounds of pressies quite close, my mums is the day before fathers day, my sister's is the next week and then Cams sister is 3days before his! I hate September LOL!!!! October's not much better wither.
I have all of the toys we will give Darcy for chrissie either on extended layby or in her wardrobe (well she's not going to look in there is she?). We might get a couple of other things, but she's too little yet. ATM she only has two toys - a small rattle with rings and a little bug that goes on her wrist, and everytime you get them out it's like they are new again anyway.:)
I have already started to look for Christmas pressies for everyone else too since the budget will be tight.
Which reminds me, will you girls email me your postal addresses? I'd like to send you all a christmas card (I have to start making them shortly don't get as much time anymore).

I think I should have gone to bed when Jayden did....I went to bed about 1am Jayden woke just after for a feed....then it was play time so 2 songs and a book later (it was nearly 3am) we went back to sleep...until 4.30am and boy did he scream!! Fed him again and who knows what time we went to sleep because I fell asleep in the rocking chair with him again and then I took him back to bed with me then he wakes at 8.30am....I put him off until 9am but the poor lil thing had the yukkiest nappy explosion I have seen in quite a while LOL I guess when it says "daytime" on nappies, its there for a reason!!

Nat: Did Em wake up for a feed or did you wake him? I try sleep feeds with Jayden sometimes if he has only had 4 feeds in the day but it never works...he thinks its play time after that so I don't get to sleep for at least an hour after I have finished feeding him.

Kim: Poor you with all those bdays!! Aug/Sept is a bit the same for us too: SIL #2 07/08, Niece#2 08/08, Mum 16/08, DP 18/08, SIL#1 20/08, my Nan 27/08, SIL#3 02/09, MIL 14/09, Niece #1 15/09 and Step Nephew 28/09...Spose thats what I get for getting involved in such a big family!!

Yesterday afternoon Jayden and I had a nap, only to be woken by the dogs barking...I got up to let them in and SIL #1 and Niece were at the back door about to come in! I must have been really out to it as they had been knocking and yelling out for a while and I heard nothing!!

Well I'm off to have a shower and go shopping...Jayden needs a bookshelf then home for an afternoon nap.

LOL I was in bed and asleep by 2. My sleeping patterns really do need to change LOL. May / June is our busy time of year - I think there is about 8 or 9 birthdays :eek: Hehe @ Darcy's two toys. Em only has a few - he won't hoold anything yet tho. Managed to grab his dummy the other day and was hitting himself in the face with it - he had no idea what was going on lmao!! You've reminded me about Em's wriste toysas well I will get them out today!!

Tania ~ I did wake Em for a feed anda change. He had his bottle and was asleep by the end of it so I was lucky! I had to wake him up this morning as well as we are going out. The card idea is excellent. I will remember to send all my address when I get back this afternoon (hopefully LOL) Damn @ Jayden being up and down all night. You take a nice nap this afternoon!!

I am off to visit my Nannie in hospital and then my Dad is coming down with my step-mum and little brother and sister for the afternoon and then dinner when my other brother joins us. So a busy day!! There will be a gap in between though and hopefully I can get some scrap booking down lol... I'm getting more and more excited about reaching the actual baby photos rather then just belly shots and journal entries lmao!! Will pop back in later to see if any one is around. Kim – yay for no typos! Good girl. Hope that means you weren’t sleep deprived, and I hope you’re still not! That sounds so cute about Darcy talking. Bet she’ll be an early talker.

Jodie – yay for Shaun’s growth spurt! You must be doing all the right things, huh?

Tania – yes, it seems like you do have a lot of patience for the outlaws. You sound like you handle them so well. I wish I could gather them all together and tell them that they’re a bit silly and that you’re very clever and you know what you’re doing! And in regard to your hypothetical question… I think I probably would. Especially if it were a close friend or family member. What about being surrogate? There are three people I would be a surrogate mum for if I had to (almost SIL and two best friends), but it would be so hard to give the baby away at the end. I reckon I would have to have finished having all my kids first, and I’m not sure if I am at this stage. I wonder why the Sustagen is supposed to work – does it have much protein in it? I know that protein-rich foods are supposed to help (fish/eggs/chicken) and I know that the mornings I have eggs for breakfast my supply seems to be better through the day.

Vic – gosh, the poor kids who live in your area! I suppose that must happen a lot with CC centres. How frustrating for you all! How clever Adam is turning around like that. It’s a bit of a bugger when they start moving because you can’t leave them anywhere for too long. Hope the lump goes away too.

Leanne – I hate how they put you on the spot like that at the photo places. There’s no point in paying for photos that you don’t like so I reckon you definitely did the right thing. Sorry to hear that Kaitlyn has been a bit off lately. Maybe there’s something in the alignment of the planets – Toby was the same for three nights in a row (waking up about every 1 ½ hours – it was driving us crazy!) but last night was better, so I hope that Kaitlyn picks up soon too. Glad that you had a good visit with your friend.

Mummy – glad to hear that Phoebe is back to her normal self. Don’t feel bad ‘whinging’ about having to wake up – if you weren’t used to it, it would suck! It’s not so bad if you’re used to it though.

Lea – Em up until 12! Wow, he’s a night owl! We put Toby to bed around 5 or 6, but then we’re up every three to four hours… you don’t have to get up to him as much do you? What are you going to study at uni? And who will look after Em when you’re studying? LOL at the remote control planes. My DH was into a model remote control plane building phase just before Charlie was born – glad he got too busy to do anymore… it was cluttering up our rumpus room! Father’s Day – I think Gordon will love it. I’m a bit naughty – we don’t really have the $ for presents around here so things like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day get a bit forgotten. I will try to think of something nice to get him, but it might just be some more imported beers or something, and if we’re not busy we might go for a picnic. When the kids get older I think it will be more special. And I will be training them to think that Mother’s Day is special too! Gosh, I just saw what time you posted last – hope you got some sleep!

Sorry, that was another long one from me! At least I’m able to post more than just weekly atm. I thought I’d better post this afternoon because if I get on here tonight when DH is at his radio shift I probably won’t get off until he gets home at 1 and then I’ll be stuffed! I’ve been really tired lately – I’ve been walking like a madwoman to try and get this weight off and it’s just not happening. It’s starting to really depress me actually – I had a trivia night to go to tonight and I spent ages going through my cupboards yesterday to find something to wear and I, quite literally, have no clothes that fit me properly. Everything is either too small (pre-pg) or too big (maternity). So I’m not going. Isn’t that sad? I feel so pathetic. I’m sure I’ll get over it, but it’s kind of marring this whole mothering thing for me at the moment. Anyway, now that’s off my chest – I’ll be fine, don’t worry.

Toby had a few rotten night recently, but seems to have gone back to his usual happy self, thank goodness. We weren’t getting any sleep and we were knackered and we’re not sure why he was waking. It was very odd. Although, he’s not too happy atm – he’s fighting going back to sleep. Actually, does anyone else have this problem – quite often he’ll wake only half and hour or so after going to sleep in the arvo only to almost fall asleep in my arms while I’m settling him. The last couple of days I’ve just calmed him down a bit and put him back – he puts up a fight but has gone down both times (not too sure how it will go today though! He’s really going for it!). I don’t know why that happens or what the best thing is to do… any ideas?

Anyway, better go and calm him down again – little bugger! Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Lea13 - the putty I got is called Jovi - and I got it from a craft store at Chadstone (near Target). I just realised that Fathers Day is next weekend - so I better get organised and make this plaque.

Shaun has been really grumpy today. Only having little naps and not drinking much. But he went down at 10pm, and it's now midnight - so I hope he stays asleep. Seems like lots of our kids are restless at the moment.

Kellee - Shaun is acting exactly the same way Toby is! And I understand about the clothes thing! I reluctantly went and bought two pair of jeans because I my clothes were either too big or too small. And I only had tracky pants which is not a good look! I am living in the jeans - although I look so big in them. My gym work is doing nothing for weightloss as I'm still eating like a pig. I really should get serious about this weightloss thing.

Tannis: is was great chatting with you the other night. (or was it yesterday...??) Gadgets for the camera is definately a good idea. My husband goes nuts buying electronic stuff. We bought a digital/video camera when we went overseas last year. But now we want a better digital camera & a seperate video camera. So that's my hubbys latest obsession.

I've been spring cleaning all weekend. I can't believe how much stuff I've hoarded over the years! I put a bookshelf into Shauns bedroom as I've been going nuts on eBay buying him books. He's now got 102 little golden books!!! And countless board books and little kids books. I have to stop now. He can't read.

RE: Egg donation. I'm sure I'm too old to donate eggs. And I need all the eggs I can get as I would like to try again for another kid. I guess I've never thought about donating eggs, but if I was younger and the situation arised - I think I would donate eggs for family or very very close friends.

Jodie, books on ebay is a great idea! I went looking today and the kids books are so expensive!! For one of my baby showers my cousin (who is a librarian) knows how mush i love books and organised everyone to bring a book for the baby - even my dad sent one LOL.
I wish I was more technical with all that stuff, but I struggle with the basics - like the DVD player :rolleyes:.
I've been walking like a madwoman too Kell - was inspired by your blog. However, there is a group home 2 doors up and one bloke wanders the street during the day. He wear black and leather and has a mohawk and looks mean - but he's harmless. DH befriended him and now he sees me walk past and runs out! :doh: He calls me his girlfriend and I am too nice to ignore him LOL. Lucky Cam told him the wrong name. Now I have to walk the long way everytime I walk so I don't walk past there.
I've jinxed myself too. I had a great sleeper, but last night she was very restless. However she's back in her bed for a bit so I hope tonight's better. I don't know what to do with all my time ATM - can you tell - I'm rambling like an old woman. I've never had such a neat house LOL.

Morning girls, I need to let this out

Yesterday was one of the worst days since my DD arrived. I could not stop crying. All day it was, I was so down. Everything just became too much.

I was supposed to go to SIL#1's baby shower and had spent the weeks before sewing a quilted play mat for her. I had known about the shower weeks before as SIL#2 had told me about it. I got the invitation on Wednesday night by phone and got myself so worked up and was so anxious about attending I could not stop crying.

Needless to say I did not go anywhere, as my head looks like a tomato after a crying session, and stayed inside most of the day.

Today I feel a lot better, like a totally different person again. My DD must have known it was a bad day for all and slept from 12 to 7 and is now back down for a sleep again.

Does anyone else ever have days like this? Am I normal?

Leanne! Yes I have days like that too, but why didn't you give me a call? You poor love.

Jodie – good girl for going to the gym. Are you back on WW? I haven’t actually gone back to tracking yet – maybe I should. I’m eating really healthily though. Well done on the cleaning too! I can only get little bits done at a time. Those books sound great!

Kim – maybe that guy is a blessing in disguise – making you walk the long way round! Sounds a bit creepy though. BTW, if you want something to do with your time you can come and clean for me!

Leanne – big hugs to you. Yes, you are totally normal. It sucks, but we all have days like that. If you feel like it’s happening more often that not though and you can’t do it all on your own (which is TOTALLY understandable) then maybe it’s worth talking to someone. We’re all ears if you ever need us.

Vic – I feel your pain. Well done on the walk – it’s hard with lots of kids, hey? Although I only have to worry about two and that’s hard enough. Glad to hear that DS had a lovely day. Hooray for not having to worry too much about the cake too. I’ll have to get the plan for the Spot cake off you for Charlie’s birthday next year – he loves him.

Having a day at home here. Trying madly to catch up with all my washing – it’s taking forever. Was supposed to go with Mum to find her an outfit for my brother’s wedding, but I thought if I didn’t get the washing done today it would probably pile up all week. I didn’t get to tell you guys that I met up with another BBer on Thursday with her two kids. It went really well. I was nervous about it (it felt like a blind date!) but she was lovely and her two kids are so cute! Hopefully we’ll be able to meet up again. It was nice to talk to someone around my age that knew what having kids was like.

Another busy week for us – does it ever stop?! Toby has his jabs on Tuesday, which I am dreading, playgroup on Wednesday followed by one of Mum’s friends and Mum coming over for lunch, DH has an SDO on Thursday so I’ll probably catch up on more housework (joy of joys) and I’ll be cooking all day Friday in preparation for almost SIL’s kitchen tea on Saturday! Oh well, at least I’m not bored! Anyway, better go and hang out another load of washing. Fun fun fun. Hope you’re all well.

Kim: Jayden has heaps of toys, but he has only just started playing with them, he bashes up the toys hanging from his gym and he has a mini mobile that you pull it and it makes bubble noises and then plays music and he has just learnt to pull the thing on his own.....It was so exciting haha If you don't know what to do, your always welcome up here to tackle my housework LOL.

Kellee: Yes, Sustagen is high in protein (and low GI). I'm still not sure if I have enough or if Jayden is just fussy, he'd be lucky to feed for 4 mins on 1 side and 4- 10 on the other and it doesn't matter which side I start with it is the same:confused: . I bought some Fenugreek tablets today, so hopefully they work too. Toby is probably just too interested in whats going on around him to waste his time sleeping haha, Jayden is the same but he will go to sleep almost straight away if he's in my arms.

Jodie: It wasn't last night but the night before ( I think:confused: ) Haha and it was great!! Cameras and video camera's are a good obession, because its something you can use a lot as well. SIL#4 and I want to get into glamour photography...I need a lot of practice though haha. You've got me back into ebay looking for golden books now LOL. Your not too old for egg donation, SIL#4 is 41 she donated her eggs.

Vic: Happy Birthday DS1!! Great to hear he had a great day....How exciting getting a dog, what kind is it? How old? I can't help you with Adam and having a bottle. Jayden took to it straight away....but then he had too because I couldn't feed him when we first came home from hospital.

Well nothing got done yesterday.....I was way too tired. Jayden and I had a 3 hour sleep on the couch! He went psycho last night in the bath for who knows what reason, but he slept from 12-7am so I can't complain hehe. We had another jewellery party today which was good and Jayden slept most of the day.

Tania – don’t worry too much about Jayden being a short feeder. Both mine have been short feeders… usually no more than 10 minutes in total, and often only one side. I put it down to me being a bit of a Jersey cow. I think if you were losing your supply he would want to be feeding all the time, but if he’s feeding regularly and a reasonable time between feeds I’m sure you’re fine. What did you buy from the jewellery party? That sounds fun.

Wow, you’re all quiet in here today! I hope it’s because you’re all enjoying your little men and ladies. DH has gone to see one of his friends play, and I couldn’t go because I had to babysit. Bugger. I can’t wait until Toby is one, then it’s easier for me to leave them both with my Mum. I ended up having Mum, Dad, my brother and almost SIL over for an impromptu dinner, so that was nice. Don’t get to see Dad or my brother much because they’re so busy (Mum and Dad own their own business and my bro is training to be a pro golfer), so it was nice to hang out, even if I was cooking most of the time!

just a quick one we are all sick here i feel just plain awful i worked all wekend and i just don't know how i managed to do it my head feels like it is going to explode very soon but enough whinging Nick got his test results back we are still on tender hooks his white blood cell count back at a very low reading so apparently he is to stay away from sick people and have a repeat test in 3 weeks if the results of this one aren't good either he is off to a speacialist pronto Ryan has been a little bugger for his dad while i was at work and tonight he just does not want to settle i had to take him into my bed to calm him down then transfer him to his bed when he was soundly sleeping i so hope this trend ends (tomorrow) i think he just missed me ( or should i say boobie feeds his not exactly fussed with the bottle but will take it if he has too ) so that where we are at hopefully i'll be back tomorrow i have a heap of research to do we are organising our school reunion for next year :help: and i have to find heaps of people so if any of you know of anyone that went to Laidley State high school between 1990- 1992 point them in my direction thanks:)

Hi Girls....How are you all going?

DH and I took Samuel & Phoebe to the Show yesterday, it was great. Samuel wasn't big enough to go on the kiddies rides last year, and this year we couldn't keep him off them. The first ride he went on was this beetle thing, that went up and down and around in circles. Everytime he came past us he would squeal with delight. I was laughing so much that I had tears streaming down my face. By the time we got to the last ride of the night, he was getting tired and wanted his dad to go on with him...the man controlling the ride said that it was fine for him to go around with him. My DH was terribly embarrassed as people were walking past laughing and pointing. I got some wonderful pics which DH isn't too happy about and wants me to delete them. It just shows that he would embarrass himself just to keep his little guy happy. Phoebe was really good, but being BF is abit difficult when out at those types of things. A friend said that she was sure there was a BF van, but when you have a screaming, hungry baby you just have to find somewhere fast. The whole day I didn't see any facilities for breast feeding mums, which is a little disappointing, as we wouldn't eat in a toilet so why should a baby. We stayed on for the fireworks, which only held Samuel's attetion for 10 minutes. After coffee at a friends house we finally got home at 10, Samuel and Phoebe fell asleep on the car ride home and we didn't hear a peep out of Samuel until 9am and Phoebe woke for a small feed at 5 am and went staight back to sleep. It was a great day, but I tell you my poor feet certainly felt it.

Hi Girls,

Sorry i have'nt been on in a couple of days. My mum called me at 10pm on thursday night and asked if i wanted to go to Rockhampton to visit family the next day!! I said no at the time but i had wanted to give my car a run down and back to see how it would go. It went like a dream mind you! So yeah we ended up leaving at about 11am friday. So thats were i have been all weekend. We got back lastnight at about 7.30pm. Briley and I were buggered!!! She went very well in the car down and back. She was also a little angel the whole weekend. I count myself very lucky!!

Briley is really starting to grow now. She is starting to roll side to side when she is playing and kicks and throws her hand around all the time. She also has been putting her fingers in her mouth heaps lately and making herself gag at times! Not sure why, just something to chew on i suppose. Babies dont start teething yet do they? My mum brought one of those play mats to keep at her place for Briley and she absolutely loves it. It got these flashing lights all over it and plays music, its really cool. Mum got it from Toys R Us for a bargain too. She took it too the registers and it came up as $100 when it had a docket for $49.99. So they checked it and it was new stock and had been put in the wrong place so they gave it to her for the $49.99 price. She was lucky!! When we were going down to rocky i took the toys off the play mat and put them all around Briley's capsle. She loved it!

Vic - I use Avent Naturally bottles. Briley took to them straight away. Every baby is different though, but give them a try and see how you go. Hope it all works out for you.

Mummy - When i went to the show here is Townsville i was still breastfeeding Briley. When she needed a feed i would just go and sit in the grandstands and watch whatever was happening in the main arena. I found that most people did'nt really care. I think because its such a natural thing people don't mind if your doing it in public. Although you do get the odd person who does turn their nose up too it but who cares. If you feel comfortable doing it then go for it, bubs needs to be fed. I think it is a bit sad that the show society does'nt provide facilites for mothers though. I thought i was compolsary these days.

Baby- Sorry to hear that you guys are'nt feeling so well. We have managed to avoid getting sick since Briley has come along luckily! I'm not looking foward to the day though when she does get sick! Its gotta happen sooner or later i suppose. Hope you all feel better soon.

Kel- Nice to hear that you are trying to do a bit of exercise. I was thinking, maybe your one of those people who needs to do more circuit training than just walking. What body type are you?? I was reading in the newest cosmo mag about this sort of thing. It tell you what sort of exercise you should be doing to suit the shape of your body. Maybe you should have a read of that and see how you go. I know what its like to feel crappy about your body. I have had weight issues since my first pregnancy. I could never seem to shake it. Then when i fell pregnant with Briley it all came off. I went right down to 75kg. Now i am starting to put in back on. Which i am not happy about at all i might add. Good luck with it all. Also i just realised that Tody was born after Briley. So he is a June baby aswell. Goes to show how much notice i take!! I thought i was the only one here that had a June baby. Did you go over??? Cause your DD was a day before mine was'nt it??

While I was in Rocky, Brent went away pig hunting with some mates. They did quite well. Anyways, his phone was out of range the whole weekend and he called me yesterday arvo when he got home. He said that he had a suprise for me when he got home and they it was for the farm. I knew it woud be an animals so i started guessing all the baby animals that he could've caught where he was. I also knew it would be sometings stupid. So after 2 guesses i got it!! He caught a bloody baby emu!!!! :eek: So know we have an emu in our greenhouse!! I feel sorry for the poor little bugger. So that given you guys a bit of an idea of what my DP is like!!

Last but not least Egg Donation:

As a few other have said, I probably would but only after i have had my kids and only too very close friends and family. Its a big thing. Your basically donating one of your kids i suppose. Surrogacy i'm not sure about. Maybe, maybe not. Depends on the situation i suppose. I really hope it never come to that for anyone i know. Either of them.

i haven't really answered this before as it is a touchy one when we decided to try for another bub we had 3 options my hubby have a vascetomy reversal or ivf with a tesa or sperm donation i was all for anything that could get me what i wanted so bad but this attitude nearly distroyed my marriage my husband even though hewanted another baby he could go through with donation as the other 2 kids are biologically his after many hours of talking i finally understood his reasonings even though i'm sure he would have loved that child no matter what i'm am so glad that there is that option out there for people even though we didn't end up needing it in the end so i think i would donate my eggs after my experiences even though i'm sure their not that crash hot

Sara ~ yes I find that it doesn't seem to bother most people (and too bad if it does, I say), and I have myself definately past the stage of being uncomfortable, if Phoebe needs a feed then she needs a feed. We were going to go and sit in the grandstand, but as the fireworks were going to start soon, it was packed out. We ended up sitting in a poorly lit lawned area. I just thought it would have been much more comfortable for us both, if there were a BF seating area or a van. If the show society did provide this on the day, we certainly couldn't find it.

Kel: I get Jayden weighed tomorrow so I will know either way how his feeding is going. I bought a pale pink beaded necklace with a big square shell (hard to explain, I'll get pics when I get it) and a gecko keyring, it was so cute!!!

Egg Donation

Thanks everyone for your opinions on this, it is a very serious subject and if you are unlucky enough to be in the situation of needing a donation or know someone who is in need its nice to know it is generally a supported topic(does that make sense??) SIL #5 is looking outside the family now for egg donations which really suprised me, so I am considering it. The only problem I have is that I haven't finished having my childen and I would be very scared I won't be able to have babies afterwards if I went through with it. On the otherhand I am only 27 and I fell PG very easily with Jayden and I think I would be ok as long as DP didn't leave it too long before wanting another. The other drama I have too is would I look at that baby and think of it as mine? I have a lot of thoughts going through my head ATM. I haven't talked to DP about it yet as I'm really not sure if he would support it or not, but it absolutley breaks my heart to think of someone(anyone) not to be able to have children when they want to, and what better gift could you give?? They are doing tests on the embryo to see why it didn't survive but if everything was ok with SIL#5 to carry, she will try again.

Anyway enough for tonight, I'm buggered!! I finally got my shopping done, tax almost done and a bookshelf on its way....I'm getting organised. Jayden and I are off to CHN tomorrow to get him weighed (they still want to monitor his weight) so hopefully its good news.

Work ... not too bad ... the ***** returned yestie and as always is still not talking to me ... Ithink she keeps clear as she was told to stay away from the girl who i sit next too ... very funny. STILL don't have the results back from Jovi's hip scan, although when we were there they thought it wasn't her right hip (like the other sonographer had said) but that it was her left. Ok so aside from anything, it tells me that she still isn't better. Just waiting to here from my dr's what she got told and go from there I guess.

Needles were yucky. She was a bit more fussy this time.

Last night was a shocker and some sleep would be good. She hardly slept at all during the day for Scott and during the night she just kept screaming ... she'd sleep for 1/2 to 1 hour then wake up screaming and crying ... was not a fun night at all!

Its very competitive so we will see how I go. We don’t really have the $ around here either. I can’t wait till next year and I think we’ll do some finger painting LOL. I hated that in between stage as well with the weight issue. It sucked!! No ideas on how to calm Toby either. Sorry I’m useless LOL. And I know what you mean about catching up on washing… as soon as I think I have there is more there!! It must be worse for you with more people!! Glad to hear that the met with the fellow BB’er went well. I get along really well with the SA girls over here!!

I have had a busy few days!! Saturday I was visiting my nan in hospital, then my dad, step-mum and siblings came down for tea. Then Sunday I was called in early to work and then yesterday I spent the day cleaning. When I did come into post yesterday I couldn’t get any of my pages to load – arghhh!!! Nobody else had the problem and of course DP gets home and I start complaining and asking him to fix it – went to show him the problem and of course it was working again!!! Made me look silly!!!

Okay I have a question regarding coloxyl drops. Em got constipated again and I started putting them in his bottle 3 times a day last Thursday - since then he has gone 3 times but all of them have been harder and greeny in colour in comparison to his normal yellow soft poos that we were getting regularly once a day. We had a few screaming fits last week (both starting in my mums arms the poor thing!!) but since the drops he seems to be fine. So I guess my questions are – Do you think the drops are working?? Should I try a new formula?? He isn’t off his feeds and seems alright…

He is sitting on my lap now talking to the computer hehe. He has only had ½ hours sleep today… little monkey!!! One of the girls in another thread gave me a great idea for a Fathers Day gift (I know like he doesn’t have enough already!!). It is a gorgeous poem and the idea was to print out the poem (called Footprints) and take a print of Em’s feet and then a Daddy & Em picture and frame it all. I’m just trying to work out how I’m going to do it now… I’m so excited about it!! This is a huge post!! Will chat later I’m sure…

Jayden gained 150g in 3 weeks which is ok (not great) but he is also on the lower side of normal weight range (he has just hit 5kgs), so I have to go to the dr's to get tablets to boost my supply and try and feed him at least 8 times a day!! He is now feeding about 5 times a day and sleeping through the night, so trying to fit 8 feeds in will be hard at first. We are going to the inlaws for dinner tonight only DP won't be there, he is working.

Just on quickly before we head out to dinner. Had a really nice time meeting all the BB girls today.

Darcy's had a really wierd day today. I was up and down like a thousand times over night, but you'd put the dummy back in and she was asleep - so she had lots of sleep. Today though she screamed louder and harder than I have ever heard. She is desperate to go to sleep and even went to sleep sitting up this afternoon, but is fighting it and all of a sudden will scream for no reason. She has continued screaming all afternoon. She doesn't have a temperature, but I feel like something is wrong. I hate this.

Vic I really hope you feel better soon. Sounds like you need a holiday....LOL

Sara - how cool. I love impromtu trips. We used to do that all thetime....just seems so much hassle now. Glad the car went well.

Tania ~ I love the new ticker as well!! I like updating my tickers all the time! Something new to look at!! 7.3 inches was very wrong lol - it was meant to 19.3... don't know how that happened - it is all fixed up now!! Fitting those feeds in would be hard. Em is having 5 feeds a day as well and is back down to about 100-120mls at each feed. I put him down at about 8.30 last night and he slept through till 8 this morning only waking once for a bottle at 2am. We have had our fair share of jewellery parties here too. I hosted my own a few weeks ago LOL. This Friday I am having a Learning Ladders Party!! I'm so excited about it hehe! It should be a great get together with the girls!

And yes Beck good luck with the hip scan!

ETA ~ Just saw your post Kim. I would love another cute Daddy poem. I can use it in my scrapbooking!! I haven't heard from Jess lately but I think she mostly posts in the June buddies group as that was when she was due. I hate the screaming as well. Em did that a few times last week and it sucked big time. Are they short little screams without a breath being taken?? My mum thought Em had broken bones he was screaming so painfully. I hope she settles for you soon. Em is fighting sleep today as well... has only had an hour since 8 this morning :eek:

Hi Girls

Well we just came back from a visit at the new house. It was really sad actually. The people we are buying the place from, Michael and May, are in their 80's and have lived in the house for 27 years. We found out not long after we first looked at the place that Michael had cancer and they did'nt think he had long to go. So he was in and out of hospital for a while and the other day the agent went out to visit them and an ambulance was rushing him to hospital. He died.:( We were always going to go up there before settlement date so that he could show Brent around the place properly, but we did'nt get the chance. So we went up there today anyways and the May showed us around. Brent and I were a little apprehensive about going up, but she was considerably good. May just brought a house in the city and then Michael died. Brent made a comment while we were up there which i think suprised us all because her children had said the same thing. He said that the old man, Michael, must have been holding on until he knew that May was safe. It was the right thing to say at the right time! She held herself together so beautifully. I really felt for her.

So anyways, May is leaving us so much stuff. She went through the house and asked us if we wanted to keep this and that. Because you can imagine what a couple their age living on acreage has stashed away. We just said whatever you's can't move leave it there and we will see if we want it or not otherwise we will get rid of it for them. We can't wait to get out there. It really came home that this was OUR HOME now. I never thought the day would come. I am really proud of myself actually. I'm 22 and just brought a house to live in with my partner of 6 years and our new daughter!! What a spin out!!:eek:

I went to Target today and brought myself $200 worth of awesome clothes! I would'nt normally spend that much, but i got $1700 back on tax and thought i would treat myself to some new clothing! I went on the right day cause they had a clearance sale on all womens clothing sizes 16-18. Perfect timing! Tomorrow i am going shopping again to but some things for the new house out of the rest of the money. Shopping Shopping Shopping!! It great exercise and very tiring!!

Shazz - Hope all goes well with Nick. I imagine its quite a scary time for you all. Here's a hug!!:hug:

Tannis - It's good to hear that Jayden has put on some weight. I know it ain't much but it's better than nothing hey! Are you and your partner a small build?? Maybe he is just going to be a small baby?? Don't worry to much. He'll probably grow up and be the ginormous basketball player!!

Vic - You poor darling!! Sick again.... Like Kim said, I think you guys need a holiday!! You guys live on the sunny coast though don't you?? It should be a permanent holiday down there. It does get cold during winter they hey. Bring on Summer!!!

Lea - Your father's day idea sound great. I wish i was crafty enough to do something like that. The craftiest things i have done was collages and i once accidetly broke a mirror so i brought a frame and broke the mirror into peices, spray painted the frame silver and super glued the mirror around the frame. It really did look awesome and i still have it. This was when i was 16 though. I am just going to buy Brent a Garth Brooks cd box set i think. He will love it i know. Not sure what i will get him from Briley. Something sweet anyhow. I'm not sure what happening with Briley's gums. Maybe what you said about the hardening could be right. I can see shape of the teeth under the gums though. I'm going to see a health nurse tomorrow to get her weighed and measured so i'll have to ask. Yeah the trip was spur of the moment but good. I was glad to catch up with my cousins. They even took me to an engagement party with them. I had my mum and aunty babysit Briley and I had a ball. I was sad and anxious to leave Briley though.

Kim - Sorry to hear the needles did'nt go well. I am soooooo not looking forward to Briley's 4 months shots. At least i have a month to prepare myself for it!! Darcy sounds like she is going through the same stage as Briley. The screaming i mean. Briley seems to be doing a lot of that at different times. I feel helpless when i can't calm her. Hope they both get over it soon!!

Beck - Not sure we have spoken before, but anyways.....Hello!! You'll probably have to update me on what is happening with Jovi's hips and the *****y workmate issue?!? I also was curious of a few comments you made that gave me the impression that your DP stays at home with Jovi. Is that right??? Not something you hear much of...the man staying at home with the kids!! Brent, my DP, said he would if i could earn as much as he did!! I don't think that's likely to happen!! Keep us posted on Jovi.

Evening Girls,

OMG I am tired!! I feel like I haven't stopped all day! DP came shopping with me after the Jayden's check up and I was showing him some tshirts in BigW for Jayden that are pink and the other is pink and brown. DP likes wearing pink himself (and it suits him LOL) and wanted Jayden to have a pink tshirt too so I finally found somewhere that has them in Jayden's size. I'll have to put them on him and take pics for you all to see, one is a little girly I think but the brown and pink is hot!! Dinner was good (but a free meal always is esp if you don't have to do the dishes afterwards LOL)

Kim: Hope you had a nice time at dinner. Great to hear the BB meet went well. Jayden does that too with stiring during the night, but he is still asleep but just wants the dummy back in his mouth. Some nights he does it and other he doesn't so I wonder if they are dreaming or nightmare maybe and they need the dummy for comfort?? Who knows but I hope she settles down for you!!

Nat: LOL @ 7.3 inches...what a tiny bubba!! 19.3 sounds better haha. I like changing tickers now too, this one is my second....I made another one but I didn't like it in the end so I never used it...prob about time I updated again LOL. Whats learning ladders? Sounds interesting. Good on you for the scrapbooking haha

Sara: OMG what a sad story....I had tears welling up in my eyes when I was reading it!! How nice of May to give you and Brent the things she no longer needs (or can't have). Its quite an accomplishment owning a house and having a bub at the age of 22, you should be proud of yourself ( haha that prob sounds of mumsy I didn't mean it to be). Well done on buying yourself heap of clothes too.....I'm a bit selfish I think I've been doing it since I first went shopping after Jayden was born.....I wanted to be a yummy mummy LOL. I even left Jayden in his pram with a girl working at Supre while I tried things on (I'm a mean mummy!!). Chris and I are both small ppl so I figure Jayden will be small too. The Health nurse I see always seems to make me feel really down after seeing her and makes me worry about his weight, but when I see the lactation consultant (same place) she makes me feel really good and is very positive. I agree that some is better than none!!

EGG DONATION
Not much to update with this, I told DP this afternoon that if all is ok with SIL #5 to carry a baby to term that I was considering donating. He had the reaction I thought he would "I don't care, if you want to" I said both of us have to go to counciling if I do it and he said he will tell them to do whatever cause he is busy!! Bloody MEN!!(can I say that??) Its just his way of saying do want you think you should but he is so insensive about everything and I was wishing he would have a real opinion on the topic!! Anyway found out from MIL that SIL#4 is going to donate again if there was nothing wrong with the eggs last time (she is 41 so her eggs may have been too old too but her youngest is only 3 thats why they used her). I didn't mention that I was thinking about it, I will wait to see what happens first. I have an appt at the Dr's thursday to get these tablets so I will talk to him about it too before I say anything to SIL#5.

Well thats all from me I think........hmmm yep thats it. Jayden has been asleep since 11pm so I best be sleeping too
