Kim: I'm on Domperidone, they are meant to be for gastro or infections or something, bt the side effect is increasing prolactin levels. It is working a treat, I never worry now if he is getting enough.

Nat: Sad to say but NO DP hasn't yet changed a nappy!!! Dissapointing? Yes but I said o Sheree yesterday sometimes its just easier to do it myself and I know its going to be done properly...No excuse I know but it works LOL. Yes please email the pics of Em would love to see it! Yes come up for a visit...the weather is great everyday LOL. Lock those cupboards and drawers...Em is almost on the loose LOL poor Em he will get there soon enough hehe. Arr whats this about Talk Like a Pirate Day?? Arr Shiver me timbers hehe

Hope that was contribution enough Nat!!! Funny thing is i went to a fancy dress a few weeks back and guess what i went as.......A PIRATE!!! I even had the golden tooth(silver really cause all i could think to use was al foil!! Still looked good but!)

Briley is going ok. She has gotten over the head cold part and is just trying to beat the chesty stuff now. She also passed her cold onto mummy!! Now i am sick as a dog!!

Don't think there is anything else much to report acutally. I am looking into booking Briley into swimming lessons and gymbaroo but. We have 2 dams on the place so swimming lessons is a must. If she is going to be anything like her father she'll be the outdoors-wanderoff-type. Which i can already tell she is. When i take her outside in the pram and we go over a rough patch, say over a tree root, she laughs and cackles and carrys on!! GOD HELP ME!!! Nah it's cool. If your going to bring them up in the bush you have to expect a bit of that!

I rang up today about childcare for Briley when i start uni next year. I have to put my name on a waiting list now otherwise i'll miss out!! It's will cost up too $210 a week. Bloody unreal. And there is heap of childcare centres in Townsville. I was looking in the yellow pages and there was 5 of the same centre in the 1 suburb. Just all in different streets. I could'nt believe it. Luckily for me there is 2 centres out at the uni. I am really looking forward to starting. It's exciting and scary at the same time.

Anyways...nothing much else to report. My brain can't think of anything else at the moment anyways.

I have been around a lot today… mostly because I have a busy one for the next few days. Will try and keep up! Keeping an avid eye on this tooth to see if it goes down. I have a feeling it will – who would have ever thought that the first tooth would be at the back… what good is that to him lol?

kim - DH's birthday today too. bugger the IL's. maybe you could share some of tania's. they sound like they need some more people to share the love with,lol. just realised today, that my IL's didn't even bother to give me a birthday present this year. the presents always sucked anyway but they must really be starting to hate me if they don't even bother trying now, lol. oh well. i prefer it that way, at least i don't have to pretend.

Might try and get some stuff for Cam's surprise party too...

Nat: OMG @ those pics of Em rolling…You really captured the moment LOL. It sounds like Em is the first to cut a tooth, I don’t think Jayden will be too far away. Jayden has started rolling on to his other side now….still waiting for the full roll haha. How was MG and kinder gym?

Sara: Great to hear Briley is doing better…but bugger for you!! Hope you get better soon. Swimming lessons is a must when you have dams, SIL#3 has a pool and a dam and SIL#4 has a pool, that’s why I wanted Jayden in the water ASAP. CC will be easy for us as SIL#2 does family day care and the only good thing about having so many SIL’s is that there will be no shortage of carers for when I go back to work.

Vic: What are we going to do with you!!! You guys are just passing it round to each other!! I do need to confess something about the nappy changing thing…We were at PIL’s a couple of weeks ago for dinner and I had asked DP to put Jayden’s nappy on after his bath….he didn’t want to do it but was about to, when I realized I didn’t have the camera with me and I wanted to get a pic of his first nappy change…..I blew my only chance LOL, I will try again though cause its been nearly 4mths LOL. I hate when ppl always assume when a bub is crying, it means they are hungry!! That is 1 thing I was sensitive about due to our feeding issues so I used to get really upset if someone said it, LOL @ saying they don’t like strangers, although I can’t use that 1 haha

Jodie: Where are you? I am so sorry I missed ME!! We go to PIL every Tuesday and I always forget for record things when we go. Is it on any website like ACA was?

Kim: My IL’s usually give me money which I love of course haha….Its my side of the family I get bad presents, well not really bad just practical…house things….I don’t want house things for my bday!! I hope Darcy gets better soon, Jayden got sick for the first time last week. What a shame she is sick on a beautiful hot day!!

Well you girls have been very chatty today!! I have had no motivation to do anything at all today, I just got into the shower at 3pm!! I have spent most of the day with Jayden, just playing, feeding and sleeping. We had a nap together at about midday for nearly 2hrs which was nice. Jayden has his needles tomorrow, other than that it will be another quiet one.

Mothers group was good – there is a little boy there with more hair then Lachlan. It was amazing and he was so cute!!! Em was very interested in him. Kindergym was excellent as well. Em loves it – I had him standing up holding onto things by himself today :eek: which was good until he took a fall lol. All the girls think he’ll be an early walker but we’ll have to wait and see! I’m colouring my hair again tonight and then I’m going shopping tomorrow. I have a birthday present to buy and its time to put some lovely new things on layby for myself for a change!!! Now that the weather is warmer the next thing on my list of things to organize is my summer clothes!!

Tania we have a rule in my family - I don't want anything that I might consider work ie house stuff. If you dare you will get it given right back as a nonacceptance!(unless it was requested of course) My mum's the same and so is my sister.

Oh Nat I'd love some new stuff.....oh well:( Yeah it makes you look much nicer when you don't say bad things (not like me - I'm a whinger).

Nat: It was really good yesterday doing nothing but I also feel a bit bad as I haven't done any washing, I'll have to do it today....I did do dishes though, DP even did the lunch dishes!! Is Em screaming loud right now? Jayden is....oh he is screaming (talking loud and high pitch LOL) but I think he thinks he is upset after a while and then he starts crying IYKWIM its cute! Morning Tania. Glad to see I'm not the only one up early today (hey everyday - but oh well). Looks like there's some serious disease combating on today. Hope its all good for all your boys.

How how how does my seriously shocking sleeper turn into a seriously fabulous sleeper to a seriously shocking sleeper again??? I know she's a bit crook, but it's not that bad. Whens the next mental growth stage? She's hard work when she's like this.

Early riser here as well! Em has decided that 7 o'clock is a great time to wake up and play!! He is actually really cute. Smiling and talking to himself - sometimes even yelling just to get my attention!

Kim ~ I hear you with the sleeping. Em's been waking up twice during the night for a bottle this past week. I figure it has to be the teething issue. Is her nose blocked? Apparently that is the worst things for bubs and if her nose is blocked then all hell can break loose.

Tania ~ Thank you for your GL wishes!! Last time Em took the injections well but got a fever and went off his bottles. I will dose him up before hand and see how we go. I know what you mean about feeling bad. We had a busy day yesterday so no housework - not even dishes!! I feel like I need to do them right now!! But I will wait till Em goes down for his nap!! Yea I am going to have to try the dresses on but there are some real pretty ones. Anyone tried clothes on with a pram in tow yet... shall be an interesting adventure I think! Still haven't looked at my hair hehe. Its a bit wild right now - the whole 'just out of bed' look hehe! OMG they are emailing each other - Em is doing exactly the same as Jayden. Can Jayden or Darcy stand up like that? Em was standing and holding onto the side of a rather large toy. Was a bit unbalanced but still could do it. Pity I can't get the kid to sit at all lmao. As soon as I let go he just topples right over lol.

Yeah Nat Darcy can do that. When she was 2 months old her legs were strong enough. No one believed me so I took a photo! Now though she can reach for stuff and knows what she wants so she gets a bit excited IYKWIM? She can sit up but doesn't know what to do when she gets to the top and just keeps going LOL silly buggar. She'll get it eventually.
Her nose isn't fully blocked, just snuffly. And runny. You know like those snotty kids you see in the shopping centre? I can't keep up with it....hehehehe.

Lachie is strong in his legs when he is upset, boy he is so strong and can stand up then!

Last night in the bath he found his feet and had them in his mouth and he doesn't stop touching his jewels these days :eek:

And he keeps doing this delerious argggggghhhhhhhh, he always talked alot, but then it got louder now it is really soft and it is like he is on sum really good drugs lol.

Nat ~ WOW....Em has his first tooth, and one at the back. Poor little thing, that would have been painful. Phoebe is doing a lot of biting, dribbling and chewing on toys and her hands, but nothing yet. That's ok, teething can be a pretty trying time....so I can wait. Samuel cut his first tooth the day he turned 6 months and had 12 by his first birthday. Em standing up....sounds like he will be an early walker. Woo Hoo look out, then he will be into absolutely everything.

Kim ~ Gee I can't believe that Darcy had stong enough legs to stand up at 2 months. Phoebe isn't even interested in rolling over yet. Some babies are so advanced, a friend of mine has a little boy who is 2 1/2 weeks older than Phoebe and he is already in a walker and in size 1 clothes....you would think he is about 7 - 8 months old (even older, LOL). I'm finding with 2, I don't have as much time to spend with Phoebe as I did when I just had Samuel. So he was doing a lot more at the age that Phoebe is now. Have you tried Fess, for Darcy's blocked nose. It works wonders, not terrible easy to put up their nose when you don't have another pair of hands on deck, but it takes just minutes to work.

Sorry I've been so busy lately. And because this topic started a new page I wasn't receiving the email either! It's amazing how fast a week can go by!

Yes, we were finally on Medical Emergency!! Channel 7 phoned me to tell me (again) - but I've had 3 false alarms, so I was too nervous to tell everyone again. I was starting to look stupid! Yariv took it pretty well. It wasn't really painful. He must of been nervous talking on TV because his English was a bit stunted. But it's funny to see him on TV. They didn't mention my pregnancy. They cut the ring, but it can't be repaired because it was a 'spinning ring' - one ring spins inside of another. I searched the web and was able to get him a similar ring sent over from overseas. Unfortunately the show is not on the web (like ACA). Luckily we taped it onto DVD.

Scrappyfish - my baby loves his Jolly Jumper as well!! At first it freaked him out a bit, but once he got the hang of it he bounces all over the place.

Tannis - love your ticker!! And I can't believe your DP doesn't change nappies!! I got Yariv onto that very early! He has to because I now go to gym in the evenings (twice) and Weight Watchers. So it's just Yariv & Shaun bonding time three nights a week. I would die if I had to change every nappy!

Lea13 - Funny that your DP didn't know about Thumper. I have similar things with Yariv. Because he's from Israel they have different names for things. Like Smurfs were called something funny. And for some reason their story of Pinnochio doesn't have Jimminy Cricket - they have a CHICKEN instead!!! I lmao when I heard that. Yay for getting your hair coloured! I had mine done yesterday too! I was starting to look like Shaun's Grandma!! I go to the Loreal studio as a model so I don't pay for it. My hair is sooo long and thick it would cost me a fortune if I paid for my hair colours! Shaun was terrific and he quietly played in his pram for the whole time.

Sara - I hope you're feeling better. Nothing worse than feeling sick when you've got to look after a little one.


I've got some good news! - I re-joined Weight Watchers last week, and had my first weigh in last night. I lost 2.2kg in one week!!! Yay me! I've been going to gym regularly, and following the 'no count' plan. I have to lose this excess weight because my feet ache, and I can't fit into any of my clothes. I just piled on the weight during pregnancy. And now my legs have a weird lumpy feel to them. I went to doc and he thought it was a thyroid problem, but blood test ruled that out. He's ordered more tests which I get results today. Because my ankles aren't swollen he says it's not fluid retention.

Also, Yariv has been especially nice to me this week (not sure why). He bought me flowers, a new office chair (because my back aches), and a digital camera!!! My birthday isn't until February!! How lucky am I??

We are going away on the 30th for an overnight stay. One of my staff is having a formal 21st birthday in her home town and invited us. My parents are going to take care of Shaun, which should be fine. He loves going there - and he never arcs up with them! My step mum adores him and he loves her too.

Well... this post is HUGE... so I better sign off and do some washing.

There are the hand & foot casts & the plaques I made for Fathers Day.

And Shaun is standing up all the time too!! He hates tummy time, so I can't see him crawling much. He can virtually balance on his own... so I think he'll be an early walker too. My dad said it can cause bow-legs... but a book said that's just old wives tales and it's fine for babies to stand/walk early.

Well I have just put Phoebe in her Jolly Jumper for the first time, she thought it was great...as I bounced her around it took her breath away and then she started to giggle. Samuel thinks it is a giant swing and that he can push her around (soon set him straight on that one)....But he is hanging around making sure she is ok, hovering like a fussy little nana. Bummer though, the digital camera has flat batteries, so can't get any pics of her first time in there.

I should be ironing...

Well when the Dragon wakes up we're going to buy the stuff for Cam's surprise party. It's on Sunday. I can't believe I've kept a secret so long as usually I absolutley suck at secrets. He's turning 32, but asked me if he could have a 30th in jest, so I'll get all the daggy decorations that say "Happy 30th" etc.

standing up OMG ryan has demanded to be upright from the ripe old age of 7 weeks cause he has always been so strong in the neck and legs this was the first time he was put in the walker (proped with clothe nappies tucked in around him ) he loves it and has been scooting around the house since he was 4 months he can find me in any room now his not super fast in it so it does take him a while and we only have him in it for 10 -20 minutes a day the health nurse was horrified when i told her and she asked me all these questions about positioning him and whether he is flat footed or on tippytoes and when i told her he was flat footed and only for short amounts of time she was happy then ok enough rambling
i have to go watch Sheridan get her peace maker of the term award at school she'll be stoked they aren't told who wins the award till it is annouced but the school rang to see whether we wanted to come how nice .... any way catch you all later

Kim: We are usually up between 6.30/7.30am everyday, Jayden gets changed and fed then I put him under his gym so I can feed myself and catchup with posts. Jayden has been waking anywhere between 3am and 4am for a feed and that has been since he has had this cold. I hope Darcy sorts herself out for you!! I know what you mean about snotty nose kids LOL I am forever picking Jayden’s nose cause I can’t stand booga’s(sp):rolleyes: haha

Nat: Oh poor Em….well extra extra good luck to you little man :hug: !! Jayden was great with his last needles cried a little when they went in then slept for the rest of the afternoon, no fever and didn’t go off food. Em email Jayden with how to roll and stand LOL. I haven’t tried him with standing but I might this arve when he wakes up (if he’s ok of course). We have been trying clothes on since we left hospital LOL, most times I have a SIL with me (cause there is no shortage of them here LOL) and I have also left him with an adoring shop assistant LOL, if you go to Kmart or Target they usually have disabled/mothers changed rooms, I haven’t used one of those yet but that’s what they are there for.

Sheree: Jayden found his jewels last night for the first time LOL, I was so shocked haha they obviously start young!! How cute Lachie putting his feet into his mouth!! That’s where that ball comes in handy, when he is on the floor and he brings his feet up, put the ball there so he is holding it with his feet and hands.

Jodie: Can you upload the DVD to your site? I don’t know how to do it (I’m clueless when it comes to computers hehe) but I think it can be done. CONGRATULATIONS :happyforyou: on the weight loss….thats great, its very encouraging when you get results straight away!! Hmm…..Why is Yariv buying you gifts….whats he done? LOL no that is very sweet of him (*sniff sniff* :crying: I used to get flowers for no reason). Have fun at the 21st!! I haven’t been to one of them in years!!! WOW you girls have been very chatty again this morning!!

Now for us. Jayden went really well with his needles, the 1st one went in, he looked at me, dropped his lower lip and then screamed!! The other 2 were in and out in no time while Jayden was still crying, but he was fine as soon as I picked him up. I went out and a guy asked me if he had just had needles…I said yes and the guy said “I know we all heard” LOL Poor Jayden!! I fed him straight after and he went to sleep (11.30am) and he is still asleep now and we have walked around kmart, put in and taken out of the car again and then put into his cot…all without waking. I’ll take his temp soon, I just don’t want to wake him up. I have a dummy thermometer, I tried him with it yesterday, it is very good and accurate, also much easier than the ear one I have and the normal digital ones too. We have no plans this afternoon (due to the needles) so I might have a nap…Oh I better do some house work

Hey girls just a quick post, made a decision today to go to Brissy until Tuesday so I won't be around, catch up with you all soon. When we return Lachie will have his needles on the Wednesday as I had to cancel his needles on Tuesday.

OMG can you girls talk!!

Well I spent up a storm – 2 dresses, a top, a pair of shorts and 2 pairs of thongs. Not sure if I like the dresses yet. Will wait for the fashion parade for DP tonight and see if they get approval. I am so so fussy with dresses! I was lucky enough to walk by a store having a 50% off storewide sale. So I got the shorts and the top half price and they are brand new stock as well so I’m very happy. At one store the lady watched Em for me and I could hear her cooing at him the whole time lol and at the other store I could fit the pram into the bigger change room so it worked out well. Got stopped heaps again with people telling me how cute Em was lol. LOTS of comments about his eyes and the cheeky buggar would smile everytime someone paid him attention. Its unnerving having people look at you all the time… I must remember that they are looking at Em lol!! He went really well with his shots. Cried a bit but I had him chuckling rather impressively a few seconds afterwards. He only had a 45 mins nap this morning and has been up since so he was grizzly after that but probably because he was really tired.

Sheree ~ Thanks for the GL wishes. How cute of Lachie to have found his feet and jewels lol. Em hasn’t discovered his jewels lol. I almost dropped dead when a friend spoke of her boys having erections – they are 3 and 4 :eek:… I have a lot to learn about little boys I think! Have fun in Brisbane!

Kim ~ Em has always had strong legs and will hold onto my fingers and hold himself up. Has from the same time as Darcy I’d say. I suppose holding onto something else isn’t really any different is it lol? Here’s me getting carried away with my “I’m so proud of my boy!” The first time I went to use Fess they only had the adult version which is exactly the same but in an aspirator. Get the aspirator as it is so much easier to apply and I found it be more effective then the drops! LMAO @ having a 30th birthday!!! DP turns 30 this year and is apparently determined to skip it as he wants me to catch up to him lol.

Mummy4Life ~ I’ve noticed so many bubs at different stages. I think how much time you spend with them helps their development but at the same time they will never do things before they are ready! At the mothers group yesterday the little boy with the head of hair (Christopher I think it was…) was doing heaps of stuff and he was a month younger then Em. I think I’ll be upset if the tooth goes away – only because it means it has to come back up later down the track!! Did you get your housework done? That is great that Phoebe loves her JJ – that is so cute of Samuel watching over her!

Jodie ~ Pinnochio without Jimminy Cricket lol? That is just wrong!!! That is excellent that you don’t pay for your hair colour. When I was pregnant I was blonde and paying $100 every 6 weeks for my hair to be done. Now its darker as its cheaper and easier to maintain. Will go back to blonde eventually though! Congrats on the weight loss you must be so proud! And go Yariv!!! He needs to teach my DP a lesson or two I think!! The 21st sounds great – it will be nice to have a night away! The casts and the plaques are just gorgeous. You must be so proud of yourself!! And I can see why you love his smile – its gorgeous!!

Shazz ~ That is amazing he can scoot around. We have a walker type thing for Em but it doesn’t go anywhere lol. Good to hear that Ryan was fine with his needles. One of the mums at my mothers group who already has one said the health nurse was horrified over a few things that she had been doing as well. That is really nice of the school to ring and let you know. What a proud mummy you must be!!

Vic ~ Grrrr @ your MIL about the tickets. What a shame for your DH. Crawling at 4 months!!! That must have kept you on your toes!! LOL @ not needing coloxyl drops now!

Tania ~ Even when I’m holding Em he’ll find my arm or something to put his feet on and stand up the little so and so. LMAO @ always having a SIL with you!! LOL @ everyone hearing Jayden having his needles! I’ve never heard of a dummy thermometer – what a smart idea!

Isn't it funny how the nurses get all pedantic about what you are and aren't supposed to do. Think of all the deros that don't care and therefore the nurses don't see. And also, my mum used to give me 40mls of panadol in my bottle - yep 40ml. And I'm allright. I'm sure there are lots of parents who impovise and thier kids are OK.

Vic - Happy 4 months to Adam - Whahooooo!!!

Hey everyone I am just sooo big atm, I really haven't lost alot of weight and I am feeling really down about it all cause nothing fits me and I have had to buy size 18 bottoms just to feel comfortable and the tops are at least 14-16, again, probably too big but I feel comfortable. I bet you have all lost your weight, I feel like I am a straggler and it is never going to go. I was looking in the mirror 2nite and said to Wade I still look pregnant! He the smarty bum, says sex 2 times a day will get rid of it - MEN!!!!!!

Just as well I have been checking the posts a few times tonight….I can’t believe how chatty we all are ATM haha

Nat: Well done with the bargin shopping, I can usually find a good buy, but it is harder up here in Bundaberg than it was in Melb haha. Jayden also gets a lot of admirers and comments about his eyes. I can just imagine Em flashing that cheeky smile of his!! Just makes you wanna pinch those cheeks LOL. Well done Em with your needles, I hope you sleep well for your mummy tonight! I tried standing Jayden up earlier (not too much because of the needles) and he did it….I won’t push him but I do need to spend more time with him and encourage him. I got the dummy thermometer off…wait for it……..EBAY!! I love that place LOL I got the ear thermometer and the dummy one for $40. I have gone out to the shops twice this week without running into any family members LOL (that’s a record hehe).

Kim: I don’t know why it would be different? Did Darcy get 2 or 3 for the 2mth shots? The ones we got today covers: Diptheria-Tetanus-WCough, HepB, Hib, Polio and Pneumoccal disease. 2 of the needles cover 2 each and the 3rd needle covers 1 but I don’t know which ones are together (I can’t read the printout they gave me)

Sheree: Don’t worry too much about what size you are, I think you look great! (and I’m not just saying that!!) Chris was having a whinge about my extra kg’s, I tried telling him sex will help me shed the kg’s but I don’t think he believed me LOL. Oh and you don’t still look pregnant!

Well Jayden was doing great after his shots this afternoon, but tonight is another story!! He had a slight temp 37.2. I had to go out to get bread and a few other things from the shops and left DP with him and he was good, until I came home and he started sooking a little. I fed him and put him to bed at 9.30pm but he woke again at 10.30pm soaked in sweat, I had to change him (I thought his nappy had leaked!), I took his temp but it was ok so I fed him and he is again in bed asleep….Hopefully for the night now…Spoke too soon again!! He’s awake again haha ahh well the joys of motherhood LOL

ryan had a shocker last night too soaked in sweat most of the night and he has done one wee since late yesterday afternoon so back to the doc mid morning if the weeing doesn't promptly begin as he has been on the boob for most of the night so i know he has definately had fluids
be back later
