Jayden didn't have that great a night either, but not near as bad as you Shazz.....Poor Ryan I hope he picks up and starts weeing for you!! Has he still got a temp?
Jayden's temp broke before I went to bed but I had to strip him right down to his bodysuit, and the poor boy was so cold this morning because he kicked his blankets off.
Let us know Shazz how Ryan goes at the Dr's..........Nat hows Em?

Well I must have gotten up a record number of times last night. I stopped counting at 10.:( She got herself out of her constraints (I mean wrap) at midnight and for the next 2 hours wanted to play! She never does that.
She's also only been having 1 boob instead of the usual both sides. And one of my nipples is really sore like it's bruised...any ideas? Could she be biting me and I'm not aware til later?
Maybe Darcy and Jayden are emailing each other too....One of my nipples is very sore (bruised looking) too, I'm not sure why attachment is the same, length of feed is the same, so I've got no idea :(
Off the topic - Why do ppl reply to text msg's that you clearly don't have to txt back? I sent my mum a text saying "We are home now you can call" She txt back "Ok" then a minute later she rang??? WTF??
i got some sad news this morning my dear old great gran passed away early this morning :crying: i'm so so glad we took ryan to meet her last friday :crying:
i haven't taken ryan to the doctors yet he has started weeing like anything now although he still has a slight temp so who knows whats happening i'll keep a really close eye on him for the next few days

Sorry i have been MIA for a while. BB was playing up for me and cause i am only on dial-up it was waaaaaayyyyyy tooooooooo sssssslllloooooowww!!! You girls have been chatting up a storm in here. Took me 20mins to catch up on all the posts.
Well i am slowly getting over my cold. This is the longest i have been sick in ages. Last time was 4 months of morning sickness!!! Briley is over her flu but is still very chesty. I took her back to the Dr yesterday and he said it was heaps better than last week. The flu must be going around cause even the Dr had the sniffles!!
RE: Babys Standing - Briley has been standing with support since she was real small. She has the strongest legs. When i am in the shower with her she stands on my boobs with her back under the shower and just smiles down at me!! She loves standing. I have'nt tried to have her stand without us supporting though. Not sure how she would go. When she is in her rocker, which has a bar that goes over the top of her with toys dangling down, she gets her feet up over the top of the bar and pulls it down to her feet and then lifts it up and down with her feet!! Its like she is doing weights!! She thinks she is the coolest cucumber!!
RE: Needles - Briley had to get 3 needles last time too. She is not due for her 4 months needles for a couple of weeks though. I wonder how she will go this time. Last time was aweful!! I even cried!!

Nat ~ lol @ erections, yes it will happen....I remember when Samuel got his first, I was mortified. I couldn't believe that my darling little baby boy had a st*ffy of all things. Samuel and his willy were the best of friends from that moment on. Finally he has lost interest for the time being anyway. Good one on the shopping trip. I must admit I too by clothes for Samuel and Phoebe and forget about myself. I should make a point of it being my turn next time round.
Sara ~ Briley can stand as well....I am amazed that so many of the may babies seem so advanced, it's excellent though.
Tania ~ lol @ your mum....my mum barely knows how to use her mobile phone, but I know what you mean about ppl texting back when they really don't have to.
Never ~ I am the same as you, I only get sore nipples when Phoebe isn't really hungry and doesn't attach properly.
Well I am very excited.....I have been busy buying up on ebay, Scrapbooking stuff (of course) I have fallen way behind and so bought up big so I can sit down next week and get stuck into it.
Finally getting on top of the housework this week, had been feeling guilty at how slack I have been. Going to a ANOTHER nutrimetics party tomorrow, leaving Samuel home with his dad, so hoping they don't mess everything up. I won't be impressed, that's for sure.

Tania ~ Em has been great. Woke up twice at ungodly hours (I didn’t even check lol) and I just gave him hugs and he went back to sleep and didn’t wake until 9!! YAY!! First sleep-in in days!! LMAO @ the text msg. I never got the point of sending a msg that short if its not needed!!
Sheree ~ Sizes on clothing is a load of crap lol. I saw you in the photos and you look great!! It took 9 months to put the weight on so give yourself at least 9 months before you start worrying about it!

We had a big day out today and Em just crashed when we got home. So I’m trying to catch up on a few posts and just decided to do some scrap booking. I also have ironing and dishes to do… It is so cold here right now – just yesterday was gorgeous and now today is cold enough for the heater again. Silly weather. What are everyone’s plans for the weekend? Any one planning to watch the footy? Oh and Em's tooth has gone down again - grrrr!!!

No Nat, I'm not going to watch, I'd be too upset if they lost. In regards to Darcy wanting to play at stupid hours - I'm mean and nasty. I don't turn on lights and I don't put up with rubbish. I've got loads more patience than shes got (think of all the garbage I've had to deal with) - she ain't never gonna win. I don't even get her out of the cot. I just rewrapped her and tucked her back in. Poo about that tooth.

Hi there girls, what a week it's been.
We picked up my MIL from Canberra last Saturday as my SIL was due to have a caesar on Tuesday. She's staying with us so it's been go go go ever since.
Well my SIL had a son - 10 pound 8 and 59 cm long.... He's got the biggest hands and feet you've ever seen. Very cute though. Ginger hair and perfect skin.
Kaitlyn's been a little grumpy as I think she has started teething. I can feel a tooth coming on the bottom but nothing cracked through yet. She loves the bonjela, which helps.
She's also started having some stewed pears every other night and loves to suck on a milk arrowroot bikky. Do you think I am feeding her this too early, or do you just play it by ear?
I went to the dr yesterday for Katy's 4 month needles. She went very well. No fever or grumpiness at all. Thank goodness. Whoever recommended giving Panadol before you have the needles is an angel. Thank you. We spent the day at my mum's with my MIL - which made for an interesting day to say the least.
I also went for a check up re my PND. Have been referred to see a clinical psych, as I am still struggling with ALOT of issues, even after being on the meds. It's hard sometimes as the family just don't understand that little things to them can be a major deal for me. Last night was particularly hard as I went and saw my SIL and she was breast feeding and I got so upset as it was something I really wanted to do. For some reason it just ate me up and I cried all the way home. That’s never happened before.
Anyway, I better get back to my MIL and need to put my DD to bed. But before I do, has anyone heard of whether you need to have your car seat certified in order for your green slip to cover you in case of an accident? My BIL mentioned it last night and I had never heard of it. If you do, where do you go?
OK I haven't just been sitting here on the computer... I've done the dishes, fed Em and sorted the washing. I was chatting to Tania on MSN but I think the dogs disconnected her again LOL!

Leanne ~ I hope going to the clinical psych will help. The BF issue is such a close and personal one for everyone and I imagine PND would only highlight the issue IYKWIM. Congrats on becoming an aunty as well! What a huge bubba! What did they name him? Its hard to say with solids. I have people tell me 4 months is fine and others say no. I'd say it would depend on the bubs and your own choice. If she's happy and you're happy then go for it.
Okay I don't think I'll get any scrapbooking done now but I do have a few other things to do that I need to do! Have a good night everyone!

Last night I fed her some stewed pears for the first time and she tried to grab the spoon from me and do it herself. I let her have the spoon once we were finished and she 'munched' on it as well....
I can't believe how fast Kaitlyn is growing up. She's had a lot of 'firsts' this past week.
My new nephew is Stewart Jonathan. A big bubba yes, but it seems he's all arms and legs. My DH and BIL are over 6 foot, so I guess that has something to do with it. We have been joking around that we'll have to teach Katy self defence early! LOL.
Anyways, off to put on a load of washing before everyone wakes up. Have a good weekend everyone.
NAt - had a quick read and now more confused!... I think I'll have to have a good chat to my child care nurse on Wednesday and ask if just pears is okay until 6 months, and if there's a risk of Katy getting a food allergy. Her father eats like a horse so thought she might just be taking after him, but at the end of the day, I want to do whats right for her and not what 'everyone else says', esp, MIL's and my mother etc.

No Nat not rewrapping for two hours (I tie her in pretty tight), but getting up putting in the dummy, turning on the nightlight - it switches off after 10min. How do they know to cry just after you get comfy???
Leanne, I'm going to send you an email, but on that food subject...You all know how I feel about my MIL's advice and based on the fact that every member of that family is in the morbidly obese category (except DH but only cos I'm a food nazi) I won't be starting any solids until 6months, however! Everyone should have a mum like mine. I ask her all sorts of stupid stuff (yes like I do to you girls) and she usually says "Well I can give you advice, but you know what the trend is know, so you should make up your own mind. You're the mother" She does what I ask with Darcy even if she thinks it's stupid (like wrapping her) and doesn't tell me that she thinks it's stupid - she just asks why and when I give an answer she says "Oh OK".

Nat: LOL those pesty dogs!! I got the s**ts and couldn’t be bothered turning the computer back on seen as the dogs had knocked it out 3 times within an hour! (or was it less :confused: ). That is great that Em hasn’t had a reaction this time! Jayden got to sleep at 10.20pm, woke at 1.30am for feed, 4.30am for feed and then was talking away in his cot at 7.30am I got up just after 8am (mean mummy I am for leaving him LOL). I don’t know how much longer I can last with these overnight feeds!! I take my hat off to all the mums that had non sleeping babies from the start….I don’t think I could have handled it. Grrr @ Em’s tooth too, now you have to go through it all over again hehe
Leanne: WOW what a big bubba!! Lucky it was C-Sect!! Although I met a mum who had a 10lb girl and she was born naturally :eek: I’m not sure about the pears at this age, I would have thought it might be hard to digest, but I am only guessing and every baby is different. If Katy hasn’t had a reaction and she likes it, I guess there would be no problem. In saying that I haven’t read the links the girls have posted either…might do that. I have bought Farex for Jayden, but I haven’t started him on it yet, I’m kind of nervous too cause that means he’s getting older LOL. Clinical Psychologist sounds like a good idea, you know we are all here for you even if certain family members don’t understand! I’m not sure about the carseat (each state is different) but all car seats have to meet certain Aust standards so unless it just means that, so you can’t use one that you used as a baby for example??

The bit about your mum…..Made me think of my mum in Melb….She came up for 2 weeks when Jayden was born but hasn’t been up since and I haven’t been down there….Made me realize how much I miss her, your lucky to have your mum there ‘not’ to give advice IYKWIM hehehe

Leanne ~ I have given Em Farex a few times and he was more interested in the spoon LOL. He loved munching on it as well. I know what you mean about them growing – up Em seemed to have one of those weeks as well. Even his hair seemed to have a growth spurt! I haven’t heard the name Stewart in a while – very nice. The whole solids issue is very controversial and it makes it hard to make a decision. I’m personally trying to hold off as long as I can though I do try Em with Farex every noe and then to see if he’s interested. But I had high allergies when I was a child – I have no idea whether it was related to having solids early (I started at 3 months) but you never know. My GP said 4 months is fine… Like I said it’s a hot topic these days!
Kim ~ LMAO @ them crying just as you get comfy. When Em keeps doing that I just bring him into bed with me and he normally falls asleep quite well and then I put him back to his cot! I could be developing some nasty habits but I do love those bed time snuggles lol… Your mother sounds excellent and very similar to mine. I was so afraid my mum would be overbearing but she hasn’t been. If anything its been interesting to hear how things were done when I was little. And YAY for the Swans. Now for the Crows to win tomorrow…
Tania ~ I had to laugh when I saw you go offline that last time. I thought – bloody dogs!! Yea someone told me that next time it won’t be so painful for him because it has already cut… please no one correct that if its wrong lol. I would like to live in a little bubble world on that one!! You know how I said Em would be asleep by 12…. Well he was asleep by 10!!! I thought he would wake up during the night but slept through till 6 – he must have been buggared. He woke up at 6 for his bottle and went back to sleep and is still sleeping now!!!
Well I’m going shopping again this afternoon with a friend I haven’t seen in awhile. So I better go and get ready. I’m getting a second opinion on my dresses – might end up taking them back… not sure yet! If I do I will makeup for it this afternoon lol. I think my friend is going to be shocked when she sees Emerson. It has been about a month I think and he changes so quickly!! Hope everyone is having a lovely day!

When we had ours installed the man gave us a certificate we do keep in the glovebox, but I don't know about for greenslips??? The RTA will do an inspection I think and they also have a hotline you can ring....theres also a lot of places that do inspections and I think Penrith COuncil runs free ones every so often, but I doubt you would have to because they don't know whether you carry little kids in you car or not. SOmetimes I have one seat and sometimes I have two....greenslips did go up recently to cover childrens injuries though....going to check RTA website....I'll be back! :)

OK so I've looked everywhere about the baby seat certificate and can't find a thing. I asked Cam (highway patrol), he said he's never heard of that either.
I telephoned the NRMA today as that is who our car insurance is with. The nice lady I spoke to said that she had never heard of it, and that Katy is covered through our greenslip anyway. She mentioned that it could be for other insurance companies who insist on certification esp if the car or seat is old or second hand etc. She gave me a number to call during business hours, so I will see how it goes. My BIL was ADAMANT that it was law, but I'll do my bit of research and see. ARGH!!

Oh I have to tell you.... she was getting whingy as she was getting a little hot and tired so I sprayed her in the face with our 'hair' water bottle. It was just on mist. Talk about a Kodak moment! Hilarous! We almost got a giggle out of her.... a l m o s t.

OK this is probably gonig to be a TMI post, so if you're easily grossed out don't read, but I need to know whether to worry or not...
You know I mentioned that one of my nipples was painful, well, this afternoon it got so painful, it hurt to brush my arm over it. THen before the feed I noticed a huge lump just under the nipple. It was almost the size of the nipple itself and it wasn't that big yesterday or even earlier today. Well I started to panic, and thought OMG I've got breast cancer! I started to feel it to check if it was hard or soft and when I squeezed a little bit (remember very sore) a head appeared, so I sqeezed a bit harder (I know I shouldn't have) and you should have seen how much pus came out! Almost a teaspoon full I'd say. The relief was almost instant. But then i had to feed Darcy and she always has both sides, so I washed it with soap and dried it and offered the other side first.
She didn't seem bothered, but should I worry she might have gotten some pus?
Should I worry about the lump?What do you think it might be?
Thanks for those who read, I know it was a bit yuk, but I was a bit freaked out.

I'm sure it's all fine... but you will get some reassurance if you can talk to a professional over the phone.
Oh Kim you poor thing, yeah phone someone and get some reassurance that all is good. Sounds painful though... Darcy would have let you know if something was different tasting for sure.

We'll my FIL arrived yesterday so its both MIL and FIL here now. Their puppy had me up at 3am this morning stratching on the garage door and barking needing to go to the loo. Katy went to bed at 9:30 and is still asleep!! I was worried that the dog would wake her, but we were lucky, thank goodness.

Well we're off to the markets in town for brekkie this morning and then Cam's party this arvo. Darcy's a little snuffalupagus these days but nothing stopping her from feeding or breathing. Though last night her sheets were soaked through. I have resisted panadol before now, but I gave it to her without even taking her temp. It's just so hot, I wish she had gotten unwell in the cool, poor creature. The last 5 days have been 30+ here. On the upside I've cleaned out all the bulky winter stuff form her drawers....now for some new stuff. LOL
Kim: It sounds similar to what I used to get (only yours sounds bigger) Is it a kinda stinging pain? I've had it twice (although I didn't squeeze it or get pus) The LC or CHN couldn't tell me what it was because it was always gone by the time I had to see them but they said it could be a blocked duct. Def get it checked though esp if it doesn't go away within about 2 or 3 days. Jayden never had a reaction from it but it was bloody sore feeding him LOL. I wouldn't stress there will be a simple explaination. I hope both you and Darcy get better soond.
Was there someone talking about itchy skin a little while ago? My arms have been driving me crazy lately...they are so itchy!! I wonder if its the soap I've been using....You know how you get crappy presents from ppl that don't really know you and they get you soap? I had this pears soap in the cupboard and I wanted to get rid of it so we started using it and I think that might be it but I'm not sure if it started when I started using the soap.....I might try a different one for a week and see what happens.
I have some guy coming to clean my lounge for free today, I think in the hope I buy their $3000 vacuum or whatever it is LOL.

Well I went shopping and got 2 great new pairs of shoes at bargain prices! So I was very pleased with myself. Had a great afternoon as well. So disappointed the crows lost – its Sydney all the way now!!!
Leanne ~ How cute spraying Kaitlyn with water!! It is soooo cold here – raining and yucky!! Where did the nice weather go?? I wish I could give Em a biscuit but the little buggar bites everything!! And it just breaks. We’ve tried the teething rusks but he tends to stick them straight to the back of his throat lol.

Well I suppose this is the BBL post from the other day when i did'nt finish my last post!! BB had been playing up for me heaps in the last couple of weeks and was really slow and sometimes would'nt let me post. So anyways this is just a quick catch up cause it's 10.05pm and i am tired and want to join Brent in bed!!
We are all going ok. Briley and I are both over our bouts of the flu which is good. Briley is learning new things everyday now, its just amazing. I was talking to a friend yesterday about how babies change so much everyday. I said is'nt it amazing how when you don't have any children how you don't pay ANY or MUCH attention at the really small things that babies do. Like reaching out and grabing things or being able to pick things up with their fingers and not grasp at them. Briley now reaches out and takes her dummy from her daddys hands. She also tries everyday to put the dummy in her mouth herself. Like i said, its amazing at the things you don't take notice of when you don't have a baby. I find it very exciting. I am excited for her that she is learning new tricks!!
Well this post has turned into a half long one!! I will be back on tomorrow to do personals. Till then, hope all is well in familyhood for everyone!

Nat: I usually hate cleaning but with the ppl coming to clean our lounge I got in the mood for it….Oh the ppl coming to clean my lounge, they came but wouldn’t clean it because DP wasn’t here!! I think they clean a room/lounge for free and they try to sell you the vacuum or whatever they use so they want both partners to be there, but he said he will get the office to call me to arrange another time….I can’t be bothered though I’d rather pay for everything to get done LOL. OOO I wanna know you secret stuff!! Hehe good luck with what ever it is!! Yay for the swimming lessons, when does Em start? Sheree and I are going again on Friday…I can’t wait!! What is my mother doing?? She was on MSN ages ago asking when a good time to ring would be, I said anytime cause I’m always busy so it makes no difference hehe….but she still hasn’t called. Jayden has gone to sleep and my eyelids are sooo heavey (probably from all the un-noticed housework I did hehe). Oh she just msg’ed then…better go LOL

The above I wrote about 2 hrs ago but BB has been playing up a bit for me too. I have just got off the phone to my parents Grrr!
We watch a lot of Finding Nemo too Nat because of the colours LOL I think I like it more than Jayden does though haha.
Sara: I love watching all the little things Jayden does too...Last night Jayden took the dummy from my hand and put it directly in his mouth first go without missing, I think he has done it before but we were at a friends place and she wants to think it was the first time at her house LOL. Jayden is standing heaps now too since I've been trying it out haha he loves it, it makes him laugh everytime. While he was in the bath tonight I blew in his face and he took a deep breath and smiled....each time I did it he would do the same thing... it was gorgeous!!
Anyway it is very late now and we have to finish watching a movie!!

Morning all! Our party was great! Cam had no idea! He was so shocked he stopped and said nothing. Photos are priceless! Only dampener was it was 33degrees and blowing an absolute gale! Blew the avairy off its mountings twice!! (Poor birds)
Darcy was so worn out after her huge day yesterday that last night was the pits. Heres hoping she sleeps well today, cos I don't think my two hours are gonna cut it.
My lump has gone right down and is not sore anymore so I have no idea. Not going to worry unless it happens again. My milk doesn't seem to have been affected. Tania it didn't sting, just more like a really sore pimple IYKWIM?
WTG Jayden. Yep it is exciting when you think of all the new things they learn. I have a motto and it's only brought it home more - I try to learn or at least see/notice something new every day. DOesn't have to be anything major, just something little.
Sara I only just learnt what that meant too. Now what does DTD stand for????

Not much doing here today. Darcy needs to be back in routine. But since it was windy there is dirt everywhere, so I guess the vaccuum will be getting a workout today.

I have one cranky pus here today. DOn't know whether she's tired, teething or unwell. Haven't been able to stop the crying for long, so a dose of panadol was metered out with good effect.....two more hours til bedtime.......come on clock I'm worn out today.
But, since the panadol she's been allright, so we've been baking. We're waiting for dad to come home with someingreadients, but we've started coconut bread, Leannes teacake recipe she gave me and some corn muffins from here.....yummy yummy, oh and salmon patties for dinner. She like to sit on the bench in her chair and watch.
Kim: My little lump I guess was like a pimple......Great to hear it has gone though. Put the pics of Cam's party up on your website....I would love to see Cam's face LOL. When DP and I were still living in Melb, we came up to Bundaberg for our niece's 1st bday, but we didn't tell his family...DP called his mum from outside SIL#4's house(where the party was) and we walked up behind her as he was talking to her...Poor woman nearly had a heart attack!! We got it all on video haha. Darcy is probably out of sorts because of the party....must have worn her out more than expected?? I have no idea what DTD is... Oh there was something else I wasn't sure of either but I can't remember now LOL. Jayden is getting one of those new Elmos for xmas....Mum rang me the other day to see if Jayden wanted one....I said I didn't care if he wanted one or not...I do LOL. She got 2 of them I think one for my niece and one for Jayden.
Jayden is starting to get back into his routine again...He only woke once overnight at 4.30am for a feed..straight back to sleep til 8.30am, asleep again by 9.30am til 12pm then he got another 2.5hr sleep this arve woke for a feed at 4.30pm and went straight back to sleep again....I hope he sleeps tonight!! hahaha
DP is working til midnight this week so I have to have dinner alone :( I hate cooking for myself....It feels a waste.....On the positive side though I get to have whatever I want and not worry if he'll like it or not LOL. I'm off to cook something before Jayden wakes up. I'll check in later

Well our highlight for the day just left. Three strapping policemen who were at training - onw finished - and don't want to go back to work so came in for a coffee. At least she'll never be frightened of policemen....

Tania ~ What a smart little boy putting his dummy in first time! Em has done that as well but I think it was a fluke lol. Em starts swimming lessons mid-end October. The beginning of the next term. My secret stuff is VERY exciting but I don’t want to make a premature announcement so I will keep my fingers from typing anything revealing lol… YAY for Jayden getting back into his routine again. Bummer about having dinner by yourself though!

It has been very quiet in here hasn’t it? We had a bad day yesterday. Em was so high maintenance it wasn’t funny. If I looked away from the kid he started crying. I did discover another tooth though – right at the front!! OMG my baby is going to have teeth…. I just can’t imagine his little gummy smile having teeth!!! I’ve just got him to sleep in the carrier but I’m afraid that if I take him out he’ll wake up. I have a friend coming over for lunch so I will have to take him out at some point so I can have a shower and get ready! Em finally worked out the teething rusk things as well. The problem – after about 2 mins in his mouth he has chewed it down to less then half… we couldn’t believe it!! I’m concerned about the amount of Panadol he is having. I have tried letting him go in the day but he is just in too much pain and screams… he is on Brauers Teething Relief and bonjella as well… any suggestions?

Has anyone else noticed the new moods function? Its at the top right hand corner near the welcome message. You can select a mood as to how you are feeling so everyone else can see LOL. To see them you need to be viewing in default style rathefr then the BB purple screen. You can change that on the bottom left hand corner lol. Its fun :)
