Sorry Tan, that was a compliment!!!! I would love to go back and do my bach ed, have actually been looking into it, a few other nurses I know have done it cause you get some credit I think with nursing subjects!! I wish my daughtgers teacher was organised though, he is only 2nd year out so should be full of enthusiasm i should think, but he is very stressy and yells a lot and all the kids hate him!!! He is also extremely forgetful!! Oh well, at least it is only a year!!! Anyway, am spose to be doing housework - da*m belly belly, I could sit here all day!!!
-
Heehee taken as a compliment ladies and the excel spreadsheet I have set up for all this is working away so its not that much work really!
Im still on here too even though its so damn slow on dial up!
Sangie - I have a tour at 530 tonight and will let you know how I go! Box Hill is about 15-20 from here in no traffic and the Mercy is about 20-25mins, but its a trek on the Eastern..I warned AL he might ahve to deliver the baby on the side of the Eastern and his response was "cool we don't really want to go to hospital anyway do we?!!!!" Silly man would rather deliver on the side of the road rather than in the comfort of our lounge room  I do like the fact that rooms are 2 people to a room - at BH they are 3 - doesn't sound like much but in the very unlikely event I have another c/s :p I dont want to have 3 screaming babies in one room - 1 is bad enough - 2 will be tolerable!!!!
-
Lis I was wondering why you wanted El to get your cold!!! Glad you edited it!!!
-
Ha ha Shell I thought nobody would see my silly typing error! You are way too fast lol! Now get back to your housework (says she who is supposed to be working at home today!)
Tan ha ha at Al delivering on the side of the eastern freeway, be very careful what you wish for lol!!! I hope the tour goes well tonight, good luck deciding.
Ok going to get some work done now.........Elena has finally decided to have an afternoon nap so now I have no more excuses (except for BB of course!)
-
OMG What a day!!! I held mums group here today and baked banana cakes and mud cake with chips and dip as well for the savory fans. 2 babies are walking and the rest are flat out crawling. The last has just gone home so I thought I would do a quick catch up while Noah is still asleep but I don't see that lasting much longer
Tan, How exciting to be checking out birth centres, why not the BellyBelly one while you are at it :p I hear you on the VBAC, it would be the better way to go. I was just going to ask you about work and then I realised you are on holidays for one more week, lucky girl ;) Are you enjoying the time off?
Lis, Hope your cold gets better soon and that Elena doesn't catch it. The sudden changes in temps seems to throw everyone through the loop.
Kristen, Fantastic news that you can resign your job, isn't it fantastic when you can do what you love for work? I am with you on the denial of 1st birthdays too, I just wish we could have our little babies just for a bit longer.
Lulu, Hope your pregnancy is going a bit smoother now, you don't have much longer to go!!! Good luck on picking a name soon!!!
Michelle, Did you manage to get some rest? Cleaning can always wait. Has the rain stopped for you so you can do your washing
Ash, Sorry to hear Scott is being such a di*k, it will be such a great relief to sort out the division of property and visitation so you can concentrate on the new life with Dave.
Okay that is as far back that I can see for now, I told you all I would catch up soon. I keep reading but I have no time for anything anymore with work and trying to get my interior business planned. I hate writing business plans!!! I am going to start with a blog and then when I get back from Canada in August I am going to get myself some clientele which should be all of Horsham since I will be the only Interior Designer in town.
I just thought I would say that I love O'Connels Family Centre!!! Noah's sleep has been fantastic since we got back home aside from a few nights where I think his teeth have been giving him trouble. He now sleeps from 7pm-7am and has 2 days naps unless I am working on that day because he doesn't sleep too well at the workshop with Daddy. I am nearly a new woman again!!! I think that is all the time I have because my little man is talking to himself in his cot so the crys will start soon. Hope everyone has a great week and I will try to leave less time between posts so I don't get so far behind again. I am working 5 days this week though so don't expect much out of me
-
OMG Tan - spread sheets?!?!? You're either a teacher or a lawyer!!! Thanks for organising the KK - will PM you in a minute. Good luck with your tour tonight and I'll cross almost everything you get your VBAC - you'll have to forgive me if I don't cross my legs just yet though. I want this kid OUT!!
Shell - come to WA!!! I need a friend over here. I'm so jealous when the Melbourne girls talk about their catch ups.
Sarah - great news to hear that Noah is sleeping so much better. A good night's sleep makes such a difference doesn't it.
Lis - I hope you're not doing too much housework. Izzy has been a bit of a grumpy bum over the last few days. I think its teeth but I seem to always be saying that. At least with all the walking she conks out for her day naps much more quickly than before.
Soooooo over pregnancy. I've had really severe period pains and heaps of very strong BH over the last few days and keep hoping but nothing comes of it. Will have to keep jumping up and down on the spot to see if I can dislodge her :p Its been raining almost non-stop since very early this morning today and it is sooooo cool. I had almost forgotten what it was like to be cold - I'm actually wearing a jumper! Anyway, kind of stopped all my plans of washing Ned's cot linen today so I've had a lazy one. Very nice.
-
I am hoping to come up to Brisbane in May Ash!! Check out my blog!! (Children's, Kids and Newborn Photography in Melbourne :: Kristen Cook {The Blog})
Tan - you're so cute!! Will PM you now :)
Shell - I know the feeling. I get stuck at the computer too often and house looks like a pigsty all the time as a result. The joys of working from home! LOL
Sarah - Yay on Noah's sleeping! That's great to hear the sleep school has worked so well.
Lulu - SO CLOSE NOW!!! I can hardly believe it...
Sorry to anyone I've missed - just a quick stop in from me :)
-
Just a quickie, Kristin I just had a peek at your blog, those photos you have are amazing!! I Looove the ones of the little boy and his preggie Mum, how gorgeous is she!!!! I can't believe she looks so well and is about to have a baby!!! WOW! I wish I lived closer to Bris now, at least Ash can get her photos done now!!!
Anyway, best go, Angus got up at 5am this morning and just fell asleep at 6.30 without his brekkie or anything. So I better get prepared for a hungry boy when he wakes up!!!
-
Hey ladies! Just need Danni and NurseDans details and we are set to go! Whoo hooo! Thanks for the pm's ladies!
Well I had my tour at the Mercy last night and it's great! Really lovely environment, doesn't feel too hospital like  and only being a few years old is really nice and modern! I know what the place you give birth in looks like has a HUGE impact on things! but being the chicken who hates hospitals that I am it is important for me! I am going to talk to them today at the bookings office about VBAC but Im pretty sure I will book in there! Yay! There are 2-3 Dr's on their public rotation that are pro-vbac too so my odds are already much better than at Box Hill!
Touch wood - Im starting to feel a teeeny tiny bit better, mornings are still pretty ugh, but now I have shocking hayfever! I haven't stopped blowing my nose night and day for the last week.... I keep thinking I'm going to get a sore throat and a cold but it's just the nose so it must just be hayfever... very annoying!
Ok Im off to school to do some work with the other teachers today - ugh - I have ZERO motivation for teaching right now - I hate it, and Im finding it really hard to share a grade too so I need to get my head on straight and focus through the nausea!
Ok have a great day and I will be pming everyone this arvo hopefully!
-
hey Tan, I think it was you talking about a GREAT stroller you had!! What is it??? Was after an umbrella style one for short trips etc or holidays etc when boot space is an issue, tia!!!
-
Hey Shell! I have the Maclaren Quest! It is fab, one of the girls at MG has the Techno which folds up and has an over shoulder carry handle - mine has a carry handle you carry with your hand if that makes sense..... it's about $230 though so if you want a rough and tumble one that you don't want wrecked maybe not! The Techno is 5kgs and m ine is 5.5kgs - I can fold it and pick it up while carrying Iz too..... once bub comes we will use that for a while longer for Izzy and will be getting a carrier of some sort for the gumnut child! :) HtH!
-
Oh ok, I thought it was a Maclaren, not sure if anyone sells them up here, will have to go shopping!! Where i brought my P&T and Angelcare monitor they do a rewards thing where if you spend $1000 you get $100 credit. I think I have spent about $900 (how on a 3rd child I dont know!!) so I figure I might as well get one there and can spend $100 but get a $200 stroller if that makes sense!!!??? Might go check it out! Thanks!
How is the KK going! I am dying to know who I am shopping for, I am going to a seminar tonight so will have to check if you are done tomorrow!! Better go organise dinne and the kids before I leave! Oh, I thought Angus was going to be the last one to solve his sleeping probs, last night he slept from 7.30pm till 5.30am YAY!!!!!! Fingers crossed he keeps it up~!!!!!!!
-
Okay gorgeous ladies!!! PM's and emails are sitting in your Inbox's ready for you to go shopping!! Big thanks to DH he did them all so I don't know who is buying for who - I think he did pretty well considering!! I gave him a list, an excel sheet with addresses and I set up each PM for him and he copied and pasted!! Hahaha! If your message says I think a Happy Shopping that was me trying to msn at the same time and it should just say Happy Shopping!!!
Have fun girls - just to double check did we say around $15 for our gifts? Is that ok??
-
Hello,
It looks like I just got in at the last minute! Julian would love to join the KK. He is on the 24th April. It's no surprise we were forgotten I haven't been on here for awhile :( I can't believe our little bubba's are turning one. The year flew by so fast!
It's great to hear how all of the bubba's are progressing. We are doing well. Though changing Julian has become a monumental task of wriggling and screaming and it has become my least favourite task. He tears around the place and I am thinking of getting a playpen for my sanity. Has it worked for anyone else? I've started organising his 1st birthday which will be at home, somehow squeezing everyone in. Hopefully it is good weather and some people can hang outside. We both have big families and not inviting people can get very political!
Lulu - wow, you are so close to the end! It must be frustrating with everyone telling you not to bother with Izzy's party, of course you would want to do it.
Kristen - the photos look awesome. You have such a great talent. I wish you were around me and I'd do it for sure!
Tan - great to hear your u/s went well. Hope you start to feel better soon.
Sarah - glad to hear Noah is sleeping better for you. It makes such a difference doesn't it.
Hi to everyone else :)
-
I may have missed out after all! I wasn't quick enough with my reply. No worries, I'll join in next time.
-
No worries Jan!!! Could you PM me your address please!!?
Glad to hear Julian is doing so well!!!
We are starting to plan Izzy's birthday too - I can't believe it - I told DH today, our little girl is ONE next month! Not in 6 mths not 3 mths but next month and we both had a giggle!
ETA- Have pm'd you Jan - not too late at all!
-
Thanx Tan - now to go shopping!!!
-
Thanks Tan for organising the KK, I am heaps looking forward to going shopping!!!
A big hi to everyone, I am just about to go to bed, so will try and come on another night this week and catch up. I have been reading, work is full on at the moment and I actually hate going to work for 40 hours per week, its really a killer.
Catch up with you all soon
-
hey guys sorry i've been MIA. I missed u all very much and hope everyone is very well! I hope all the pg mummies r getting nice and round with healthy bubbies and i hope all the mummies and bubbies out there r getting lots of sleep!
Am i 2 late 4 KK????
-
Thanks for organising Tan, can't wait to go shopping ! What are you doing for Izzy's birthday?
Hey Jan glad Julian is going so well!!!
Hi Kass, great to hear from you hun! How is Annabelle?
Lee I sympathise, I work 45 hours a fortnight and I am exhausted! Don't know how I would cope doing that many a week! Take care of yourself!
Ok so don't be surprised if somebody gets an early KK present lol, I may get too excited and just HAVE to post it! Ok Ok I will try and hold off :p
-
yahoo I'm going to hunt high and low to find something fab. $15 will be a challenge but if that's what we've agreed on then koolie doolie.
I'm just at an intrnet kiosk before work, all is going well. Blake adores daycare and he is so happy when he see's me after a long day away from each other. Dave has been picking him up and apparently he headbangs to his heavy music all the way to come pick me up lol too cute, they are so funny together, melts my heart.
He slept 12.5 hours with only one waking last night, I couldn't believe it - I heard him talking at 6:55 and I went in at 7 and there he is sitting up just playing with a bottle waiting for me. I'm so much more in awe and love with him since he has become a different baby, I'm finally getting to enjoy 100% of the time I have with him!!!!
-
Ash - that is great hun, its amazing how some decent sleep makes you a new woman and changes bubby too!
Kass - have pm'd you hun - not too late at all!
:hello: to everyone!!! I've got my girlfriend over for dinner tonight - making a roast and a butterly cake for her birthday - ah the things we do!! Izzy and I went swimming this morning - after 2 times of going and having her stick to me like a leech today she wanted off - even in the deep end - cheeky girl!! Didnt realise if I let her go she would go under!!
-
kass good to hear from you!
Ash, glad the new job is going well! Wow, Blake has really improved with his sleep - that is amazing!!!
Lis - I am so excited to go shopping for KK!! I think mine will be in the mail sooner rather than later also!!!
Tan - do you just take her to the pool or is it lessons?? Ah yum, butterfly cake - you sure can fit a lot into the day!!! I had a friend over this morning and it motivated me to tidy up a bit!!! i told her to give me an hour and gee did I run and race all over the house!!! One way to get things done spose - invite people over!!!
Anyway, am having a slap up dinner here tonight, am exhausted, have been up all night with middle DD, she had high temps all night. Spent the night checking her temp, giving her panadol, and sponging her. Was fun indeed. Then Angus was up for feeds in the midst of it all!!! Can someone please SLAP me when I talk of having another! PLEASE!!!
-
Shell- all my great laid our plans turned to pot when the wind down here put the power out for hours! I was a happy camper I tell you, I went to get my gf's pressie but the shopping centres power went out and I had to leave, and then I got home to find it out at home too. It didn't come on til 530- I made the cake and put the lamb roast on and managed to get it all done but was exhausted by 10!!!!
I go on my own to the pool at the moment Shell once a week with her! I got a Laurie Lawrence DVD and it shows you how to get your baby used to different breathing and other techniques so by the time she's a bit older we will start lessons... I know it's really important and she will go to lessons once she is old enough to understand intructions, but right now when its about familiarisation I can't justify the $10 a lesson for 20 mins....
Ok Im off shopping with my mum today - yay!
-
Shell - I will happily slap you for considering having another one!! I've just got back from my OB where I got yet another lecture about not resting enough, not eating well enough blah blah blah. I've only put on 2.5kgs all up and he keeps telling me I should have put on more and I'm obviously not taking care of myself. I keep telling him eating is a bit difficult when you feel sick all the time, constant heartburn when you do eat, and just plain feel full before you even start. And as for sleeping/resting, if he can tell me how to do that while looking after a very active 11 month old I'd happily do it! Not as if you can just say now Iz, mummy's going to have a sleep for a couple of hours so just play quietly on your own, don't pull the tv down on top of you, don't harrass the cat to the point that she scratches you, and don't turn the oven on again. Yeah, right!!
Sorry girls. Feeling a bit sorry for myself today. Just want this baby out so I can try to feel a bit normal again, and have energy to play with my princess.
So, Shell. If you want someone to smack you around for considering more kiddies, I'm your girl!! I hope your little princess is feeling better today - horrible when they're sick.
Tan - sounds like your swimming DVD has been worth the purchase price. Good for you. Izzy loves her swimming classes too, although I'm not sure how I'll keep them up when Ned is born - might have to talk my Mum into coming with me, now that she's going to be living back up here in the suburbs!! Enjoy your shopping trip.
-
Thanks LULU!!! When I mention ttc, feel free to slap away!!! In all seriousness, don't think we will have another, school fees have just gone up, and with 2 at school next year, I think it is going to be a tight budget!! I will live my cluckinees through all you guys (feel free to remind me of bf/nappies/sleepless nights etc etc))!!!!!
Angus loves his lessons too, but it is expensive to pay for 2 x kids for lessons. Our pool is a bit cool now, as I was practising with him at home also. Not sure what to do over winter, no heated pool around to take him to myself.
Oh Lulu, not long to go, I totally empathise with you. This last 3 weeks is going to seem like a lifetime hey!!! It must be so hard to keep it together, You are amazing to still be sane at this point!!!!
DD is feeling heaps better thank goodness. Hopefully no one else gets it. She basically just had really high temps and a sore throat. Lasted a day and now she says she is fine - weird!!
Anyway, just put Angus to bed so better hang out my washing.
-
LOL Lulu does that mean that number 3 is out of the question?! Not long to go, hang in there!
Shell glad to hear your DD is feeling better, fingers crossed that nobody else gets it.
Tan hope you had a great shopping trip!
Hi to all the other yummy mummy's, I'm just quickly dropping in (should be cooking dinner!). Had a busy day catching up on the housework so I think that I will take my princess shopping tomorrow yay!
Catch ya's all later!
-
Hello out there!! Is quiet today - is everyone kk shopping!!! I have been today!!! Was actually pretty hard - but I think I did well in the end!! Was so much fun! Anyway, gotta organise my kiddies for DH, I am off to work tonight!! Wish I wasn't, I am so tired, and the thought of 12 hrs work makes me feel worse! But anyway, I have to go - no choice in the matter!!! Have a good Fri night!!
-
Hello!!! :p
Anyone remember me????
I'm sooooo sorry that I just dropped off the face of the earth. I just completely ran out of time for this place and was getting a little bit too obsessed with it!!! And, I found Facebook (big mistake). I'm back in the workforce aswell - just two days a week but it just makes my spare time all the more precious!
So how is everyone??
Lulu - I've been wondering how you're going - I can't believe you're ready to pop again!!! Amazing. I don't know how you've managed to stay sane - you're a champion and deserve the biggest, brightest medal!!!! LOL. I'll have to keep popping in to hear all about the new arrival.
Tan - Congrats on the pregnancy too.
Sorry guys but I'm not even going to attemp to catch up and can't promise that I'll keep on posting but I'll definitely try!!
Luke is just amazing - he's soooo goregous and just such a happy little boy - the poor boy gets covered with hugs and kisses ALL day long!! He's still not crawling yet though - he's a bit slow but I'm not complaining. He's getting around though, just not crawling 'properly'. He gets right up on his knees and rocks (has been for about 3 weeks now) and I keep thinking he's going to go and next thing, he's back on this tummy, comando style!! So cute. He'll get there eventually. He's waking a few times each night still too - we had about a month of sleeping through but for some reason, it just didn't continue and now he thinks 5am is morning - just delightful!!
Anyway I must go - I just wanted to say a very big hello to you all and send you my love - I think about you all the time and am extremely ashamed and embarrassed that I disappeared like I did.
Take care.
Kelly xxxx
-
Hey Kelly! Of course we remember you hun! So glad to hear that you are doing well and thanks for popping in to say hi!!! Can you believe these bubs are nearly 1!! Eeekkkk!
We have had a busy weekend BUT the big news is DH and I are sitting here ON OUR OWN!!!! Izzy stayed at mums last night - I called her at 8 and she said that Izzy slept from 7 when DH and I put her to bed and slept til 730 old time (daylight savings old time!!! ) So 630 which is great, not one stir throughout the night!! She is having a nap at the moment so we will go pick her up at 11! Its been nice but I have to say I miss her terribly and its so quiet! Both of us jumped when DH turned the channel on the radio over last night and looked to see if Iz had woken up ! and then laughed at ourselves! The gig we went to was great but we didn't really stay out too late because we were both tired and we both woke up early too - typical!
Anyway Im off to try and design these invites for Izzy's birthday- have a lovely day ladies and bubs and will catch you soon!
-
Hey everyone! Quiet in here, hope you have all had a great weekend!
Tan yay that Izzy was so well behaved for her first sleep over, what a star she is!!! He he I bet it felt strange to not have her around. We haven't left Ellie overnight yet, despite both sets of grandparents constantly asking us lol!
Hi Kelly and welcome back! Glad to hear that you guys are well!
Shell I have also been KK shopping already and think I did pretty well too! Hope work wasn't too bad. I think you deserve a gold medal for doing 12 hours shifts and then coming home to 3 kids - you are amazing girl!!
Had a busy weekend here and just got back from a 50th birthday. I was going to try and get some of my work done tonight but don't think its going to happen, I'm way too tired. He he much easier to surf BB!
-
KELLY!! Good to hear from you!!! Luke looks like a little spunk!! Hope you pop in and say hello from time to time!
Tan - I bet you and Al were lost without Izzy!!! I have left Angus obviously o/n to go to work, but I would have happily left him anywhere last night, he was up about every hour. Hope you had a nice night anyway!!Will be the first of many - believe me, my girls are packing their stuff as I type to go to Grandmas cause it is the school hols. They get spoilt and have no chores there so are always eager to go!!
Lis - i though I have must have been the only crazy shopaholic to go KK shopping already!!!! I dont mind going to work, but guaranteed with the combo og lack of sleep etc I get sick really easily. Spent all yesterday with aches and pains/ sore throat etc, and today feel worse!!! Think I need to take vitamins or something, cause with BF as well I am exhausted!!!! Am actually about to do job application for a higher job that is more hours, wasnt going to but money wise we need it!!!
Anyway guys, spose to be taking car in for service today but dont think I will. I feel so cr@ppy I just want to go back to bed!!!! I am so over getting up a million times a night. I am seriously thinking about switching him to formula cause when I am at work he has bottles and sleeps all night. I dont want to stop BF but I am so physically exhausted, the rest of the family suffers cause I am tired and cranky.
Anyway, better cook some brekkie. The girls have requested boiled eggs, might cook Angus one too! He hasnt had one before! Hey, one thing I found that he LOVES is cheese slices!!! He had 2 after dinner last night!! And grapes! Anyway, BBL, cya!!
-
Kelly - good to hear from you. Been wondering about you and Luke and what you've both been up to.
Tan - yay for a sleepover for Izzy at grandma's house. Must have felt weird not having her in the house but now that its done for the first time hopefully you can really enjoy it in the future - especially with your little gumnut on the way.
Lis - I still have to do my KK shopping - better get to it soon or else I'll be sending DH out from the labour ward!
Shell - you must be so tired. I can understand you not wanting to lose bfeeding completely but you need to balance your own wellbeing as well. Good luck with the egg experiment. Izzy eats eggs but still won't touch cheese - very frustrating!
I've reached the "I just want it over" stage. I drove 450kms on Saturday to visit my grandmother who has just broken her hip and then yesterday spent the day with Izzy and my DH, who seems to have been possessed by some creature that is a pain in the ar*e. After not really talking to me all day I gave him his dinner at 7.30 pm and took Izzy to bed. When I came down at 8.20pm (little minx was not cooperating!!) I told him I was going to bed and he didn't even comment about the fact that I hadn't had dinner. Now I'm not expecting him to run around after me or anything, but surely you'd think a guy would make sure his 8.5 month odd pregnant would had had something to eat! Schmuck. Tossed and turned all night and I think I got about 2 hours sleep. So, other than taking a mattress to my parents' new house today (yay they're moving today!) its going to be a really quiet day while I think of ways to perform castrations if his mood doesn't improve.
I hope you all have better, slightly less violent days!
-
Ooops - posted twice. That's what happens when you get impatient and hit the button again!!!
-
Wow, a little quieter here so easier for me to cope! I just got back from the gym and finished up the last of the 12 auctions I was setting up for the day. I thought I would pop in and catch up before I head to bed! Now lets see..........
Lulu- Lets hope the last stretch goes quickly and you can meet your happy healthy princess soon. I agree that DH needs to be a bit more attentive, lets hope he was tonight.
Michelle - Hope Angus sleeps for you tonight, I bet the DST has thrown it for even more of a loop, it has here with a 5am wake up for the day. How did the egg go over? Do you find that the grapes make the poo a little runnier? I have heard horror nappy stories about grapes and don't think I want to go there.
Tan - Way to go on the overnighter! What a brave woman you are. Glad you got a night off, I am sure you needed it.
Kelly - How could we forget? Glad to hear you are going well, and hope you stay in touch. It isn't easy that is for sure...
Ash - Great news about Blake sleeping that 12.5 hours for you, I hope he keeps it up.
Sorry to anyone else I missed, I am aiming for an early bedtime incase little master wakes up at 5am again!
So for my news!!! My flight is booked!!! I leave for Canada on May 10th and come back on Aug 3rd. I am so nervous and feel like I will never be prepared but at least it is set in stone and I have no choice. I am trying to pick up as many hours of work as possible to save money but stupid bills keep draining it so I did a wardrobe cleanout and over the next week I will be putting over 50 auctions on eBay and hopefully that will get me a bit more cash. So the stress meter is up and up and up but the good thing is I have 3 months to relax before coming home and jumping in to my interior design business.
Well 10 mins of typing is enough, I better hit the hay! Hope everyone has a great week!!!
-
Lulu, no he didn't like the egg!! I think maybe cause they were boiled hard, maybe have to try them softer! But he smashes cheese slices - loves em! You need to give your hubby a big slap! They are so inconsiderate hey. Mine was no help at all through any of my pregnancies, he didn't see it as an issue of me not being able to do anything. I bet you are so over it! Well you are officially term now at 37 wks, so fingers crossed your little one makes an early entrance!!!!! Is Dh looking after Izzy while you are in hosp?? He might see how much hard work that it is!!!
Sarah - YAY on your canada trip!!! You must be so excited!!! Will be great for everyone to meet Noah! Well, I don't really find a difference with the grapes. He poos constantly anyway normally, so am used to yucky pooey naps all the time anyway!!! We don't have daylight savings here thank goodness!! Angus has still been shocking. I am going to go to n info session at imps (not sure if you southern guys have imps. is just a parenting help type centre) I dont want to let him cry, cause when he wakes up and wants a feed, he honestly is ravenous. So I feel like I will be starving him if I dont feed him!!
Anyway, I feel absolutley cr*ppy today, have a bad cough and headache. DH and I went to the movies last night to the premiere of Superheroes and it was the worst movie I think I have ever seen. Was a waste of time!! We had free tickets so I'm glad it wasnt money I wasted!!! The kids all stayed at Mum's and we went to just pick up Angus after, cause the girls wanted a sleepover, and wouldn't you know it, they were all atill awake and only eldest DD wanted to stay! So I wound up with 2 back at home! Oh well!! So we better have brekkie and go pick up eldest DD! I am just so tired and look around my house and I get so depressed cause it seems like I am always cleaning/washing etc etc and it is still a mess....
Anyway have a nice day ladies!!!!
-
Shell hope you feel better soon, take care of yourself!! Glad I'm not the only shopaholic who has already bought a KK present!
Sarah yay on your trip, not long to go at all, how exciting!!!!!! Hhhmm maybe I could hide in your luggage lol!
Lulu not long to go hun, hang in there! Sorry your DH hasn't been very considerate, men just don't think sometimes. I had a giggle when you said you may have to perform a castration, he he I had that thought when I was in labour (looking back it was when I was in transition!) Take care of yourself, can't wait to hear of Neds arrival and her name (please tell me your DH has started thinking about it now lol!).
Better go, hi to all the other mummy's and bubby's, I have sooooo much work to do and I'm so tired as Ellie decided to be up for half the night. I think she might be getting another tooth as its so unlike her not to sleep at night. Hopefully she will be ok tonight!

You'll all be pleased to know I'm not in gaol. DH has reverted to being his normal lovely self so his manhood is safe for the time being.
Sarah - very exciting that you have your trip booked now. I'm very jealous!!
Michelle - poo that Angus didn't like the egg and so sorry your night out ended up being a bit less than perfect. Try and get some rest today - hope you feel better soon.
Lis - nope. Still no discussion about names from DH. He is completely hopeless. I hope Elena sleeps through tonight for you. I know its going to be a huge shock when Ned comes along because I'm so used to Izzy sleeping through too.
For mums who are formula feeding - when are you going to start phasing formula out to be replaced by cow's milk? I have to admit I'm a bit confused by all this - if you breastfeed then it seems you get congratulated for keeping on breastfeeding past 12 months but if you say you formula feed after 12 months people jump on you for not putting your bub on cow's milk (or goat or yak or whatever). Izzy's solids eating are still so touch and go there is no way she could go without the nutrition in the formula. I know I should be asking this question in the solids/feeding forum but I don't want it to turn into a breastfeeding v formula discussion - again!!

Hi mums and bubs,
Lulu - I've been thinking exactly the same thing. I was thinking that when Livvy is 1 I will start by giving her a bottle which is 3/4 formula made up as normal and then 1/4 milk and over the next 4 - 6 weeks slowly decrease the formula and increase the milk. Does that make sense? How many bottles is Izzy having a day? I am so confused too. Olivia has 4 bottles a day but I think that could be one of the reasons we are having so much trouble getting her interested in food so I am trying to cut her down to three a day but I just can't seem to get a routine happening. What do you do with Izzy?
Tan - YAY on Izzy's first sleep over. Olivia loved her first sleep over but nowhere near as much as Nan and Pa did. They had an absolute ball and keep asking when they can have her again. How is Izzy's walking going? Up and running now?
Sarah - I am so jealous!! You and Noah are going to have the best time. How is Juz feeling about you guys going away for three months? Good luck with your auctions. Hope you get some spending money.
Sangie - Hope Ellie pops through another tooth real soon and you can get some much needed sleep. Work is the last thing you feel like when you are exhausted.
Shell - I completely understand how you are feeling with washing/cleaning and housework. It is an endless cycle and a battle you can never win. I made DH take Olivia out for 3 hours on sunday just so I could do the housework without her 'help'. It's so damn cute but it takes forever to do it and I never get it all done. How you feeling? Angus sleeping better? Put anymore thought into switching to formula?
Hi everyone else!! Not much to report here. Had a few days off so we went to visit my sister and her husband which was nice. Now we are just bumming out at home. Olivia is getting so much more adventous and getting frustrated that other babies are walking and she's not. She is so close she just needs to gin her confidence and let go for longer periods. She barely hangs on anyway. She'll get there.
I haven't done my KK purchase yet but I'm doing lots of browsing and checking. I want to get something nice. It's $15 isn't it?
I have started a diet and exercise regieme today. I am so big! Never been this heavy before so I want to lose 5 - 9kg before June when we start TTC. Fingers crossed!!
I'm off to get everything organised for dinner. Have a great night and i'll be back soon to catch up.

Thanks Dan. Izzy is having 3 bottles a day of between 200 to 260mls per bottle, and I'm giving her the bottles immediately after breakfast, an hour or so after her lunch and then the last bottle just before she goes to bed. I'm a bit worried the milk might cause her reflux to flare up again so will definitely be doing like you said and mixing small amounts of milk with formula to see how she goes. I guess I'll just have to take the plunge and start weaning her off but monitor how her energy levels and weight goes.
Good luck with the weight loss - it must be hard for you balancing time with Livvy as well as working. If I could I'd give you my pregnancy diet - I've lost 2kgs over the last week to leave me with a total weight gain of 0.5kgs!!! Pity I know its all going to find me as soon as Ned's born :-(
