So Lulu do you give Izzy her breakfast first when she gets up. Do you mind sharing your little princess routine with me. I'm stuck at the moment and to be honest need some tips. All these changes are confusing me and Dave so much.
I am not going to lecture or add to list of people telling you what to do with eating etc instead send you heaps of hugs and please look after yourself the best you can. Any day now Ned is going to be safe and sound in your arms and you'll have your two gorgeous girls to enjoy and watch grow up together. Does DH know where he has to post to let us all know that Ned is here? Better write him down a list of instructions if he can't remeber or I'm more than happy to give you my mobile number and I can do the post.

Morning all!

Dan I have given Ellie a little cow's milk in cereal but not in a bottle to drink yet. She also has reflux so I'm going to be careful introducing it. I was going to wait another few weeks and then introduce it slowly like you suggested: 3/4 formula, 1/4 cows milk, and then half/half etc etc. At the moment she also has 3 bottles (or more like 2.5 bottles). Two of 240ml and one of between 120-150ml. She has one first thing when she wakes up, one late afternoon (between lunch and dinner) and one before bed. Hope that helps! OMG you will be TTC soon, how exciting!!!!

Lulu I will be crossing all fingers, toes and any other body parts possible so that Ned doesn't have reflux too. And yes Dan has a good point, make sure you tell somebody when Ned arrives!!!!! I hope you are taking care of yourself and resting as much as possible, you will need your strength for the labour. I can't believe you have hardly put on any weight, but I think it is common to lose a bit in the last couple of weeks.

BB is looking strange today, all posts are off to the side on my computer. Hhhhmmm hope its not just my computer? Gotta go, have a lovely day all!!

Lulu - Im glad you havent been arrested hun and DH is back to being lovely! They drive you crazy don't they!! You can have some of my weight hun, I've already put on 8 kgs :( I did the same with Izzy though and now that Im feeling a bit better Im hoping it will ease off now, although after the 5 tim tams I ate last night Im not so sure!! :cryinglaugh:

Dan - Izzy has a breastfeed first thing (at about 630ish) thn 3 bottles during the day, Im wonderingif I should start cutting one out but she finishes the whole 200 mL each time so I don't know? Izzy has had cows milk on cereal, yoghurt and cheese for a while now so she should be fine.... I just wonder if she will need the nutrients in formula for a bit longer as she isn't a big eater either (not sure who else mentioned this?) So I might go to toddler formula for a few mths maybe? So hard to know isn't it!

Shell Shell Shell - Missy are you eating your vegies or taking some sort of vitamin suppliements hun? I know you work in an environment like me where people/kids are GREAT at spreading their germs and you are always sick, but look after yourself woman.... I know what you mean about house work, this house with this little miss is so messy ALL the time, just when I put all her toys away she decides she wants them all back out and spread around the lounge and kitchen, and I vacuum but somehow she drags stuff on her clothes from god knows where so it looks like I did it a week ago instead of 5 mins ago :rolleyes: Sorry ranting but just wanted you to know you are so not alone and heres a bit :hug: and if you aren't feeling well -STUFF THE HOUSEWORK. Sit on the couch, and play with your gorgeous lil man.

Well we are off to the pool today! Yay! Also Izzy just walked by herself from the kitchen into the lounge room - I just looked up and thought OMG look at my toddler! :( She takes about 4-5 steps now before losing balance and resorting to crawling as its easier! She will occasioanlly pick something up and stand up from squatting, fall down and stand back up again on her own! :clap:

Ive also nearly finished Izzys birthday invite! It has photos of her at 0, 3, 6, 9 mths and a big one at 11 mths! and is brown and pink with spots! Heehee it's been fun working on it but stressful too!

Dan - Izzy's routine is like this, and thank God its pretty consistent these days.

Wakes 7.30 - 8pm.
Change nappy but stays in PJs. Have solids breakfast (Rafferty's muesli or similar) then a piece of toast or crumpet.
Play time
9.15 or so - 260ml bottle. She'll have anywhere from 200mls to the lot
10.00 am - upstairs to get changed out of pjs, short play in her room while I tidy up in there and then bed.
Between 11.30am to 1pm (depending on how lucky I am!) - wakes from sleep, short play then lunch (sandwich, tuna & veggie pattie or who knows, fruit).
Play
2.30 pm - 260 ml bottle
3 - 3.30 pm - down for a nap
4 - 5pm - wake and play
5.30 pm - dinner (meat of some sort, mashed vegies, fruit)
Play with daddy
6.30 pm - bath
7.15 pm - 260 ml bottle
7.30 pm - bed

TBH we didn't have a great routine until it really sunk in that Ned was going to be here, and soon! I figured unless I got Iz into a better routine I'd go completely nuts and it hasn't taken long for her to get the hang of it all. It makes it so much easier I'm annoyed with myself for not doing it earlier!

Lis - my BB is looking odd too. Makes me feel a bit lost! Ellie's bottles sound like Iz's, only smaller - she's obviously a much better solids eater than Iz is.

Tan - yay for Izzy walking. I don't know about you, but I feel its all a bit surreal watching MY child walking. I mean, she was only born a week ago wasn't she???? So lovely to see them exploring and being so proud of themselves though. So glad you're feeling better. And hey, tim tams are a pregnancy staple as far as I'm concerned. Have you tried the new Tim Tam Crushes? OMG they are amazing. I came home from shopping with them the other day and ate the entire packet!!!!

Never fear ladies, you will all hear of Ned's arrival. I'm ashamed to say that texting is a bit beyond me with my new mobile and its definitely way beyond my DH (scary when you consider he's a software engineer!!) so I will get him to email. I have Dan's email address so if you don't mind doing the honours for me again Dan, that would be great - sort of like tradition!! If you wouldn't mind posting in my belly buddies group too that would be brilliant.

Anyway, must go. Finally going to think about packing my bag today - maybe . . .

Thanks for letting me know your routine girls. They are very similar to Livvy's so I think I'll just perseve and stick to 3 bottles a day. Little munchkin is having a bad day. Hopefully it is her teeth trying to come through. I don't mind her teething but I just wish she could cut some b!oody teeth.

Sorry ladies but I'm going to do a cut and paste from my belly buddies post. No energy for anything else . . .

I ended up going to the delivery ward. Was woken at 4.45 am with really strong contractions, diarrhea and vomiting (sorry for TMI!). Thought at first it was BH but when they kept going for 3 hours I thought it was getting a bit much. Hospital told me to come in for monitoring and they confirmed that I was in early labour but it all fizzled to nothing. Ends up I have gastro and that triggered contractions but wasn't enough to really establish labour. Very p*ssed off - was quite excited at the thought of having this baby on the outside. Very depressed to be told I shouldn't be expecting anything anytime soon :-(

Anyway, DH is bathing Izzy and will get her to bed so I'm off for a long hot bath and then bed too. Hopefully this will have shifted by tomorrow - my poor mum is trying to unpack her new house and ended up spending the entire day here, not that she minded. God it was great - huge lasagna cooked, washing done, Izzy entertained. DH was very happy too - got his favour BLTs for lunch! Gotta love your mum!

Oh no Lulu I hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself, gastro is so awful and fingers crossed that nobody else in your household gets it too. Thank goodness for Mum's hey? The last few weeks of being pg are absolutely the worst IMO, c'mon Ned its nearly time to meet your mum!!!! Hang in there :hug:

Dan I hope Livvy is having a better day today. We also have teething symptoms but none cutting at the moment, I wish they would hurry up!

Well my little Miss took 2 steps by herself today, it took a few minutes for me to realise what she actually did! Then she did it again for her dad. He he seems she can only do 2 though before she loses her balance. She was pretty proud of herself too, couldn't wipe the smile off her face! Waaaaaaahhhhhhhh where is my teeny tiny bubby??????

Ethyn is on 3 bottles a day. His routine is slightly different on the weekend as he sleeps a bit longer in the morning, but here goes!!

7am wake & bottle
8am brekkie
11:30am lunch
12noon sleep
3pm wake bottle
5:30pm tea
7:30pm bath bottle bed
He has some snacks during the day if needed.

Sorry for leaving without warning. We basically had to leave and pack up our whole house in 24 hours and are now staying at my Bil's place. Its a 3 bedroom tiny house and there are 7 of us living here! Can you feel the tension from here?? I bet you can!

Anywho, we finallllllllllly get possesion of our new home next friday, 7 more days to go! we are so sososososososo excited!

lulu, i cannot believe how close you are to meeting Ned. I can't wait to hear her name and everything about her birth. I hope to meet her too! It really can be any day now and I wish you all the very best xxxx mwah!

Quick selfish post from me:( I am feeling sorry for myself and thought I would share and maybe get some sympathy from you girls!! My DH has been home late all week ( he leaves at 5am and has been getting home between 7-8pm), and then today he finishes at 4pm, I was out getting groceries, and he rings my mobile and says "I have just come home and hooked up the boat and am going fishing, will be home in the morning":wtf:
He hasn't seen Angus awake in about 3 days cause he has been asleep when he has gone and come home etc, plus it is school hols, so I have had 3 kids at home all day all week by myself. ALSO, he says when he rings, I might go Sat night also. I said - well I am working so you have to watch the kids, to which he says - They can go to your Mum's, i need to go fishing while the weather is good. The only reason I need to work extra shifts is to help pay for the da m n boat so I am not impressed. I am actually really upset by it all, and have been quietly sobbing while the kids aren't looking. Every time I mention having family time he says - all we do is family stuff, when do I get to do my stuff, I work all the time and never get to do anything I enjoy. Hmm, I think that is the reasoning behind having kids is to become a family... This is an ongoing saga - so I wont bore you all to pieces, just needed to get it off my chest. Will put the kids to bed and have some wine I think.... Sorry girls for the long vent, just needed to share........

Oh sweety what a selfish tw@t...I swear men are idiots, really, their brains just do not function properly I'm sure.... It's not fair that you look after the kids on your own and then the time you do get is when you are working. I think you have every right to be p!ssed hun.... :hugs: Hope you can have a relaxing night, run a bubble bath, read a good mag or book and drink that wine hun..Lots of :hug: for you all honey....

Ooooh Shell. I think I'd be finding another use for that fishing rod of his!!! I agree with Tan - he's being a selfish tw@t. My DH tried the "I need time to myself" with me a few weeks ago. Why don't they get that while we love our children to pieces, we need either a break from them ourselves or like you say, get to enjoy them together with our DHs. I'd change your plan for this evening a bit though - cruise around BB for a while, then get in the bath with a glass of cointreau or baileys, YOUR favourite CD playing and a good trashy book. Men. Can't live with them, can't shoot them . . .

Oh Shell I hope you are in that bath right now. You have every right to be upset.....men can be so clueless sometimes. Want me to give him a whack over the head to remind him that his gorgeous hard working wife needs a break too sometimes? Take care :hug:

Tan I am constantly looking at Elena and also wondering where my baby is??? Can't believe that it was this time last year that I was huge and doing a great whale impersonation (sp?) and now she is almost walking!!

Lulu-I've been weaning Blake onto goat's milk since 10.5 months and he is predominately drinking goat's milk now. I just started with 50mL milk, 200mL formula, and gradually phased out the formula. He is sleeping ten times better on the milk, and his poops are finally getting a little more solid. I give him Pentavite vitamins as his eating is all over the place, so he is getting the right stuff like in formula. I hope ned shows up soon and you have no more false alarms, I spent forever in hospital with Blake so I know how sucky it is.

Well we're gonig swimmingly. Blake slep THROUGH THE NIGHT LAST NIGHT yyaaaaayyy 6:50pm-6:20am, I was amazed, daycare absolutely buggers him. I'm at work today but the office is empty and I've done all my work so what better place to waste time than BB LOL
Blake's party is next Saturday, after work my sis, Blake and I are going to pick up some decorations and a special party outfit for Blakey...so hard to decide what to get though, as it's been cold some days and 30 others. and we're having it in a park. I figure less cleaning up and it's central to all that are coming - I think there are around 40 odd people turning up!
I've changed Blake's daycare as of Monday-he was in FDC but the b!tch tried telling me what to feed him and what not (jam sandwhiches=too messy apparently), and that I couldn't dress him in his adorable overalls because "He's too squirmy and I can't be bothered to try and get the press studs done back up". Yeh, uncool if you ask me. He is now in a centre in between Dave's and work, and I move in to Dave's officially this weekend.
I must be off before someone comes back and catches me doing jack all. Huggles and kisses to all the bubbies and mummies and tummies xoxoxo

Anyhoo, I know it is early but I cannot shake this tired feeling at all and I am going to try and have another early night. I am getting 8 or more hours a night now but I feel worse than when Noah was waking me 6 or more times a night. I hope I am not coming down with anything.

Oh no Sarah, I'm sorry to hear Noah is waking frequently again. I hope he just outgrows this, and soon, for your sanity!!! Not long till Canada though, how very exciting!

Blake has slept through 3 nights in a row (at his father's Saturday night and still did, hallelujiah!) and is being such a good boy....I think walking, daycare, routine and taking him off formula have all attributed to this. I don't drive so never really had him interacting with other people outside our house, now it's just so full on for him all the time I think, he loves the other kids!

Went and got his decorations on Saturday, and ordered his cake. He is having a mudcake with a Thomas the Tank edible decal....no cream or anything cos of his thingie with cow's milk but mudcake is going to make enough mess smooshed all over him anyway lol Didn't get around to getting him a special outfit, I don't think I'll bother, he is going to be filthy running around the park, food, cake etc!

Tan, I saw your thread about what did you get bub's for your first birthday and I got him a fisher price swing. Those trikes are on sale at Target for $109 this week but I saw an even cuter one there for $96 that does the exact same thing....worth checking out as they can use it till 36 months!

How long have your bubbas been clapping hands, waving bye bye and dancing on request? I was just thinking about it as Blake stands there playing his keyboard and dancing like there's no tomorrow l,ol he's been dancing for about a month, and clapping hands and waving bye for about 2 weeks. Please tell me he's not too far behind?!?!

Hey Ash! Sounds like you have got Blakey's party all sorted, sounds like its going to be great! Wish I could come along :lol: Elena has been dancing, waving and clapping for a few months now, she started cruising about a month ago and has taken her first steps last week. Tan I saw your thread too about buying 1st birthday presents. We have no ideas either. My mum has bought her a rocking horse and my ILs have bought her a trike, so we aren't really sure. She already has one of those flip out couches and loads of toys that she got for Christmas. Bugger, think I will have to go shopping and have a look around ;)

I had a tear with Izzy tonight, she fell asleep in my arms and I just can't believe how much she has changed our lives so the pregnancy hormones kicked in and that was it - poor little poppet had tears falling on her head while she slept while I watched her and kissed her!

I got an email from a friend tonight for a girlfriends baby shower on the 18th at 2pm.... the exact date and time of Isabelle's birthday party :( What are the odds of that? The girlfriend planning it was one of my bridesmaids and she is a really close friend so I know she will feel torn now between the two of us but as I said to her, they got in first so fair enough! I'm hoping her DH and boys can come here though...... Ugh so annoying and I must be emotional because I nearly cried again when I got the email ..ah well!

I think I will be having a VERY early night tonight, feeling very cold and tired from school today.

Awwww Ash - I think we are all in denial and teary aren't we......silly mums! I was looking at Iz today and she was playing with this kid in the waiting room of the Dr and I was imagining the new gumnut at that age and was sad because he/she wasn't a baby anymore! Isn't that the most ridiculous thing you have heard!!!! Bubby isn't even here yet and I'm sad because he/she is all grown up! :rofl:

Well I got my combined scan and BT for downs back!!! My Trisomy 21 risk is 1 in 11200 and 1 in 68500 for Trisomy 18! I know it is a number and still a risk but I am so relieved! I was worried that the scan was low risk but my bloods would show high risk! My iron levels are ridiculously low though, and I need to keep taking suppliments, **slaps own wrist** I haemmoraged with Iz and never took the minimum 3 mths of tablets, in fact I am still taking the one month supply I have left from havin gher - no wonder it is low :doh: Anyway if that is all I have to worry about then yay plus it's only about 3-4 weeks til we find out if I'm cooking another pink or blue one! Yippppeeeee :cheer:

Ok off to spend time with my snotty grizzler - she woke up with the most amazing green snot today (ewwwwwww sorry!!! :p) so I think I will stay home with her for the next few days - GP gave me a cert so Im all set!

I know what you're saying about growing them up too fast. Watching Izzy run (yes, run!) through the house and knowing that in no time at all she will be my oldest because I will have a new baby makes me very, very sad.

Question about the KK's do we tell them who it is, or does it remain a secret?
Quick one about Ethyn, he still has an ear infection, basically he finished one lot of anti biotics then went on a different lot and had some ear drops he seems better, but he keeps getting infections, so we have booked him in to see a paediatrician, so hopefully he will find something that the docs keep missing.

Doc and i thought it was Gastro and if i go by the dates of when she 1st started 2 get sick then im hopeing thats all it s though 2 day i was horrifed 2 find the kids cheese sticks i've been giving her r 6 months out of date!!! Even though i brought them from safeway at the start of this wk! I rang safeway and all they offered me was a refund 4 the product?????? ummm excuse me my 10 1/2 month old daughter could have DIED and ur offering me $4.00 4 my troubles???????

Just a quickie - Kass ring KRAFT direct. There should be a free call number on the back of the pkt. They will be more helpful etc than where you brought it. i found something in a cheese slice once and they had a courier pick it up from me so they could investigate it. In the end it was just a burnt bit of cheese that had come off the machinery, but still, they were very helpful, gave me a huge refund and an apology letter!

Tired here today, working is really tiring and I haven't had much help from DH around the place lately as he has been so busy. Good news is that he has landed a new job that comes with a decent pay rise woo hoo! Hopefully that will mean I won't have as much pressure to return to work after we have number 2. Yay!!!!!

Kass - poor Annabelle. So horrible when they're so small and so sick. Hopefully Kraft will do something more reasonable. I'm amazed at how much out of code stuff is left on shelves - especially dairy and meats that can be so dangerous.

Lis - great news about your hubby's new job. Hard when they slack off around the house isn't it - I think my DH has taken the view that because I'm home all day its my job. The fact that it takes me about 5 minutes to get up off the floor seems to have slipped his notice!!

Lee - I was wondering about the KK too. Given I'm the only one in Perth, even without a return address the postmark is going to give it away! Oh well. At least someone will know where to send a letter of complaint!!

Tan- hope you and Izzy both feel better soon. Enjoy the couch - I'd kill for a day on the couch but unfortunately Iz has other ideas, like playing with the oven and the cupboards and the tv! Good luck on the KK brainstorm - I keep getting ideas and then changing my mind.

Off for a midwife check up soon (my OB is away on holiday until mid next week). I just know she's going to say nothing's going on but hey, this little one can't stay in there forever, can she???? I spent hours cooking stuff to freeze for Izzy last night. She has become very fussy with food and won't eat anything at all that comes out of a packet or jar so I thought I'd better make sure the freezer is full - if I left it to DH she'd have a diet of crumpets, cruskets, plums, hot chips and sausages. She'd be thrilled with that, but not exactly a nice rounded diet (although in fairness I think the major food groups are covered).

OMG Lulu!!! You are so close hun!!! Have you had any niggles yet? I can't remember now if Izzy was early or late - Im thinking she was a bit early from her date of birth but not sure now!!! Not that it means anything anyway. Good luck with your appointment - let us know how you go!

Tan - I've had so many niggles its not funny. I've given up trying to analyse what all the pains mean now and am joking to my DH that Ned will be 6 weeks overdue and I'll be sitting in a pool of amniotic fluid saying oh, they're just pains!! Iz was induced when she was 4 days late (scan dates changed on me, so I should really have been in the April group) and was born 5 days overdue (although spot on due date according to my dates). I have a very strong feeling this baby will be late, and for some reason 6 May is the date in my head. God I hope not though!!

All normal for check up - more comments like "but you haven't put on ANY weight". I love how they keep telling me that, as if its something I don't know!!
