Leigh- I like Kai for a ame. Its hard to come up with names for girls that really hit you! Good luck on agreeing! I just got a cradle off ebay and its about 15 cm longer than my bassinett. So hoping baby will stay in it for a while until I sort Becca out in a bed. Am dreading it too. i dont want to go out and get another cot just for a few months though. Good that you can get your tubes tied during the c sec. Saves reopening. I dont know what we will do for contraception!!! I dont want to go back on the pill and dh doesnt want to have the snip. I dont want my tubes tied either because I figure I did all the hard work with having them its his turn....something we have tosit and chat about hey! Am so tired today. Olivia is sleeping poorly and throwing tanties at 230am does not make for a fun night sleep...especially when it takes nearly 2 hours for her to get back to sleep and then shes up before 7am and cranky all day! I dont know whats up with her. Shes always been a bad sleeper but got better at the start of the year when she went inot a single bed. In the last few weeks its progressively got worse. She has been having some nightmares and now shes sneaking into bed with us! Wouldnt be so bad if she went straight back to sleep! Oh well, am hoping its a phase....hoping hoping! Touch wood Becca sleeps through, although I think she may be getting a 2 year old molar. Shes been sooky and shoving her hands in her mouth and dribbling. Unlike her to do the hand thing and dribble! Shes been real quick with all her teeth too. Shes a bit constipated too. She poos a few times a day but its just a few pebbles at a time. I gave her some all bran this morning (both my kids love it) so hopefully that will help, otherwise I will get some prune juice!
better go.

Hey leigh....Its a girl! We got to the scan did all the measurements and all looks well. We got the lady to turn off the dvd to see what she was. Its hit me harder than I anticipated. I think i have cried most of the day. I am glad I found out today, because I would hate to be a mess at the birth. So we decided to tell people because I need them to get used to it too (I dont know why I feel I need peoples acceptance but I do and I know the comments will come thick and fast). So we decided to let it out and get used to it. I feel guily crying about it and I dont know why I wanted so much to have a boy...maybe because I am expected too? I dunno! I am hoping tomorrow I feel more positive...am sure I will as time goes by. Now to choose a name! Dh suggested my name as a middle name (Melissa) so no a ending names! He likes Amy Melissa...something he came up with while we were out. I need to think about it! lol Oh well at least I dont have to get lots of clothes!
-
Oh Mel, congratulations on another little girl. I know how much you really wanted a boy though. Little girls are great though!!! I'm still positive I've got another girl on the way too so I'm sure I will be in the same boat as you when the time comes. Someone did say to me that rather 3 girls than 3 boys lol, it's true though, I would. I was so sure you'd be having a boy. Just think you're going to have 3 lovely little girls who are all fairly close in age & that can play together etc. The main thing is she's healthy! Don't feel guilty for crying either, it's a shock at the moment for you but we all know you're not going to love or care for her any less. How's your DH taking the news? My DH is desperate for a boy too so I'm not sure on what his reaction will be if we have another girl. He jokingly says he won't be telling any of his mates that I've had the baby.
I've got my growth scan tomorrow, hopefully everything is fine with bub & that he/she will be a decent size when born at 36wks.
-
thanks leigh... am sitting here bawling my eyes out reading your message. I need to go to bed. Dh has been grea. He was a little upset but just happy shes healthy. Thanks again - enjoy your scan tomorrow and hope all is well
-
hey Melissa - congrats on another baby girl :) i had gender disappointment with Finny.... all my life I had imagined two gorgeous little girls, who would play together be close, etc, etc. Then when I found out I was having a boy I was in shock and probably for the rest of the pregnancy....but the minute I laid eyes on Finn I fell so unbelievably in love I thought I was the luckiest mum in the world and I still do :) and you will be the same. I know you know all that and like Leigh said you know you won't care for her any less...I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason....you will have three gorgeous girls, who will be best friends forever....if you need to I think there is a gender disappointment thread in here if you feel you need more support.
We are well here, the kids are fine, we are off to NZ in three weeks to see my family, I havn't met my little niece yet who is 7 months old and Mum & Dad havn't seen the kids for 12 months so we are all incredibly excited, I won't want to come back that is for sure!! I am a big sook when it comes to saying goodbye to my family lol.
Better go, really need an early night tonight xxx
ETA: aww melissa just saw your post, of course your upset, it has been a big day, your pregnant, your probably exhausted, everything will look better in the morning, please go to bed and try and get some sleep. Leigh - have a great scan tomorrow :)
-
Laurin, good to hear from
you. You'll have a great time with your family, bet you can't wait. I'm a sook when it comes to saying good bye to my family too.
Mel, I'm that positive I'm having another girl that I actually don't know how I will react if I have a boy. I've already told DH to capture the look on my face coz I will be in utter shock. I've only ever imagined myself having girls, I don't know what to do with a boy lol. Hope you get a good night sleep & feel better tomorrow, but like Laurin said, you will get so much support on here. Wish I could give you a big hug!
-
Thanks girls. I know when I give birth to this little lady I will be so thrilled. Its just something I need to get used to. It has upset me quite a bit and even though I had a great sleep I still find myself crying! I think thats from getting on the net and talking to everyone! All my friends have been supportive but it makes me emotional. I think a few more days of talking about it and I will be fine. Its lovely to think about how close my girls will be... I suppose i never had that with my sister, she was almost 6 years older than me. I have always been close to my brothers (all 6 of them) Thanks for listening. You'll probably be listening for the next few days:) Enjoy your scan Leigh
-
Aww Mel, big big hugs for you hon!!! I don't really know what to say to help, but just know that I'm thinking of you, and that I agree with the other girls, that once it sinks in that you are having a gorgeous healthy girl, I'm sure you will be over the moon. The relationship and bond btw mum and daughter is priceless!!
Leigh, glad to hear that all is going well for you! Hope your scan went really well today - it's so exciting hearing how you and Mel are progressing, not long to go now!!
Laurin, how exciting for you to be heading off to NZ soon - bet you're counting down the sleeps. Hope you have an awesome time!
As for us, we're ok. DD has developed a nasty chest infection which is awful. She is with my mum today (coz I'm at work) and I can't help ringing mum every 1/2 hour to check DD is ok, must be driving my mum crazy!! Other than that, DD is getting four teeth through at once - the eye teeth on the bottom, and whatever the equivalent is on the top so she's had her hands in her gob non-stop. so she's not been the happiest of girls, and OMG, the tantrums!!!! holy smokes, no one warned me about these!! Is anyone else's bub chucking major whammies when they don't get their own way??
Anyhoo, that's all for me - take care girls xxx
-
Melly - Good to hear from you. Hope Sienna gets better soon, poor little thing. Yep, Lara is into chucking the tantrums too, don't you just love it......NOT!!! Lara lays on the ground and kicks and carries on like a pork chop screaming the house down. I remember DD1 started going through the terrible two's early so I think Lara is the same.
My scan went well. I get my results tomorrow when I visit the ob but the lady said bub will be on the smaller side of average, probably like Cadence and Lara. Cadence was 2.6kg born and Lara 2.7kg. They were born at 37wks and this one will be 36wks so roughly around the same weight, give or take a few ounces. It was great seeing bub again. He/she is still in the breech position but coz I am having a c/s it doesnt matter if it stays that way. Never got any pics though, the lady said bub wasn't in a good position for a profile shot or anything, nevermind.
-
Hey Ladies!
Sorry its been so long! Busy here with a running toddler and working 2 full days...
Melissa - Hugs babe! I understand how you would be upset and I hope that the shock wears off soon and you embrace your healthy little pink bundle! My DH wants a blue bub pretty bad for the next one so I guess that we may face the same issue at some stage.
Leigh - OMG I cant believe that you will soon have your bub!! thats amazing and awesome!!
Laurin - glad to hear from you!!
Melly - hope bub gets better asap!!
I hear you all on the tantrums!! Bella is just starting to now! The other day she didnt want to go somewehre so I grabbed her and and she went to bite me WTF!!! Usually I can distract her so I hope that lasts!!
As for me - we are all well! Bella is triving and speaking so well! I just love her to bits!
I MAY have some news... we have been TTC #2 and I am 4 days late with AF and I have done 2 tests that show VERY VERY feint lines... not getting excited yet as I know what its like to have an early loss. I am a bit confused as to why it would be so feint.. maybe I O'd latter than I thought?? Anyway will test again Friday and see how that goes.
Hope your all well
Kate xox
-
Kate - Great to hear from you! Yay on your feint positive hpt, fantastic news & I hope you get a darker line on Friday. Make sure you let us know how it goes. I don't know how you can hold out until Friday, but I'm obsessive when it comes to testing lol. Lara has actually tried to bite me a few times too and lately she has been whacking the tv screen. She makes sure I am looking at her do it too. When I went mad on her this afternoon for it she just laughed. DD1 was never a biter so I am hoping Lara isn't bad at doing it, especially with a new baby on the way. She is such a mummy's girl so it wouldn't surprise me if she tries to bite the baby or something.
-
Thanks girls, I am feeling much better tonight. Am sure in a few days it will all be good.
Melly- Becca has tanties.... throws herself on the floor, kicks and screams! Olivia was the same at this age but once she came out with loads more words around her 2nd bday, they definately died down because she could express herself somewhat better and we could meet her needs without just guessing most of the time. She also tries to bite, but I dont let her get away with that, simply because Liv was a shocker with biting!
Kate- oohh..fingers crossed hon. Looking forward to your news.
Leigh, glad bubs is doing well.
Am going to bed, really knackered after all this emotional stuff! Looking forward to getting back to normal:)
-
Hi Girls,
Mel - How are you feeling now? Have things started to settle down a bit? I've been thinking of you.
Kate - Did you test again today? Can't wait to hear how you went.
Nothing much to report from me really. Just popping in to see how everyone is going?
Hi to everyone I have missed.
-
Hi ladies. I had another 2 feint positive tests but I started to bleed a lot this morning so I would say that I may have had another early loss. I have terrible cramps and a bit of clotting.
I feel a bit sad but to make it worse my close freind that I work with got a positive test this morning - we were trying to get preg at the same time.
Never mind, I hope the pain stops soon and its just like a normal AF so I can try again this cycle.
Thanks ladies xox
-
Hugs to you Kate. Am hoping it doesnt take to long for the pain to settle down ad you can start over again. Rest up hun x o
Leigh- thanks, I am doing much better. Starting to relax now and I think we have decided on Amy Melissa as her name. Rebecca has tonsilitis so its been no sleep here and I am so tired. Hope tonight is different now shes on ab's!
-
Oh Kate, I hope you're ok. My fingers are still crossed that everything turns out ok for you though. I bled with this baby for 2 whole weeks and had clots and everything. I have had 2 miscarriages so I was certain I was losing this one too. However if yours does turn out to be an early loss I hope that it isn't painful and that the bleeding doesn't last long. My fingers will be crossed it doesn't take long to fall again and that you get a really sticky one!!!
Mel - Hope Rebecca gets better soon & that you guys get a good sleep tonight. Glad you're doing much better and I love Amy Melissa for a name, you're more organised than me in the name department!
Now I am definitely planning on washing some baby clothes this weekend. I've had the tall boy for a week and still haven't done anything. With less than 3 wks to go I really need to get my bum into gear and get organised. Its just so hard to do when you're chasing after 2 other kids all day.
-
Sorry about the quick post last night, Bec was not happy. Shes had a better sleep and has woken up almost her old self (wont stop talking). shes still in someobvious pain so have kept up panadol and nurofen, but the dribble is still pooring out! Am glad I went to the drs yesterday.
Again Kate I am really sorry to hear your news. Take good care of yourself.
Leigh- youre funny! Happy clothes washing! Good that you have the tall boy and at least after a week of having it there you can now start putting something in it! You still have 3 weeks...its ok!
Amy Melissa... yeah its growing on me. Definately not something I would have chosen, but I think that dh put it out there and he likes it, so I'm happy to go with it! Especially since Olivia says it all the time. I have started talking to her and calling her Amy, so its obviously going to stick! Well times up..becca is at my feet!
-
Hi guys
Sorry I have been MIA, I keep forgetting to log on!! All going good here, just a few issues, dinner refusal ATM, she won't have a bar of it!! So not sure what to do, the other night I mixed vegies with yoghurt and she ate it...HAHA!
Mel that is just so exciting about another little girl!! I understand the disapointment too, I will be a bit sad if it is a girl next, as I do want a boy, but also, I would prefer all girls than all boys if that makes sense?? Ive always wanted a girl. Lol. The name you like is gorgeous. How is Bec now, hope she is ok!
Leigh omg the date is creeping up! Did you end up getting the baby clothes organised? I bet it is surreal looking at those tiny little clothes again!
Kate oh Im so sorry for your early loss :( I had an early loss before Mia and it is just crushing. My BFPs got lighter and lighter :( I hope next cycle is a sticky bubby!
Arrrgh sorry if Ive missed anyone, Mia is playing up and not going to sleep, so off to deal with her :P
Mel

Hello all... just thought Id post while i have some quiet time!! Dh is in the bath with the girls..peace!
Skyblue- Becca is better thanks. She picked up so quickly with abs. Dinner refusal.... we have that sometimes with becca. I am a sucker I give them dinner and if they dont eat it, before bed I will make milkshake with milk, banana and yoghurt. Its something in their tummy and its good for them! Hope its just a passing phase,
Hi everyone esle! Just quickly i got to change hospitals today! very happy to be able to have this one where my other 2 were birthed. What else..... um i think dh is changing his mind on names! He asked about Megan! I will let him choose. I had most say with the other 2! We have about 18 weeks left to make a firm decision, so anything goes!
Better run! Take care
-
Hi girls,
Been a looong time since I've posted, but occassionally I get the email updates. Exciting to hear about all the next bubbas coming along - not long for some now!! DH is still adamant that we won't be having any more and I'm not getting any younger so I have been slowly getting my head around that as much as I would like another. It is a bit sad packing away all the little clothes knowing they won't be used here again - but I am sure there will be plenty of nieces/nephews still to come.
All well here, Willow growing up and has her 4 canine teeth coming through atm, all at once poor thing, but she has been pretty good with them. Lots of chatting, loves climbing (have to be very careful turning my back for even a minute), drawing and wants to do everything the same as her big sister (sigh!). At the moment she has two days a week at daycare, in 2 different centres but that seems to be working well and she actually really loves going (which is very different to Miss C).
Fingers crossed all goes will with your impending arrival Leigh and that there are no dramas this time around. Look forward to hearing the news.
Take care everyone and will try and keep on a little more regularly...
xJo

Hi Girls,
Skyeblue - Good to hear from you. Hope Mia starts eating her dinner for you again soon. Its so hard when they wont eat, Lara is like that sometimes too. Hopefully its a phase that wont last too long. I've washed some of bubs clothes, should be enought to get me through until we actually find out the sex when its born. I've also washed the towels and blankets and wraps. I just need to pack my hospital bag. bubs too.
Mel - That's great news re the hospital, its nice knowing all 3 kids will be born at the same place. I like the name Megan too.
Jo - Great to hear from you. Sounds like you and Willow are well. Lara is a climber too, can't take my eyes off her for a second with out her climbing onto something. Glad Willow is enjoying daycare.
Not long to go for me now, 2 wks from tomorrow. Everytime I think about it I get butterflies in my stomach. I am excited plus nervous. I just hope I get another good baby, one thats a great sleeper would be nice!!! I'm a bit worried how Lara will be with a new baby in the house. She is such a mummy's girl. I can just imagine her poking and prodding the baby when its in its rocker or swing or something.
Gotta go, I've got Lara tugging on my leg and crying, theres never much me time is there with little ones around.
-
Hi guys
Leigh WOW only 2 weeks to go! I can understand you feeling a bit nervous, isnt it funny not knowing what "kind" of baby you will get? Lol that sounds funny but I mean in regards to sleeping, feeding, personality etc! I hope you get a nice placid baby who sleeps really well :)
Mel glad Becca is feeling better, now that she has had the abs. That's great you are going to the same hospital as you went to with the girls! Iss it over your side of Melbourne?
I just got a bowl of home made pumpkin soup into Mia tonight! Woohoo! Very happy. Like you Mel, I am a sucker and give her a bowl of porridge or something before bed to fill her tummy up!
Ok, better go and clean the highchair tray :)
-
Hey all...
Hey Jo, sounds like willow is going along well...similar to rebecca! She has a dint in her head which has scarred and shes also came in with a bruised and bloddy nose! Constant climber!
Skye- good tohear you got something inot Mia. I am going to Monash in Clayton:) There were sending me to Dandenong because I am low risk, but that place is revolting!
Leigh- 2 weeks...how very exciting nerve wrecking!
All good here...rebecca is raiding the cupboard! A no go with dinner and now shes hungry!
-
Hi Girls,
Just a quick one from me. The hospital called this arv saying they are moving my c/s ahead by one day so it will now be next Wed 23rd of June. Bub will be 35wks 6days. Coz I am high risk they want me on the Wed coz the more experienced team of obs perform high risk c/s on Wednesdays. Im sooooo nervous now, I know its for the better though. I keep thinking negative thoughts though, like what if I die and leave my 3 kids behind. I need to stop thinking like that but can't help it. I'm still unorganised, now that its one day earlier I will have to get a move on.
Hope you're all well!
-
Oh Leigh...all the very best. You'll be fine. It is fantastic that they have moved you with the more experienced team. Good thought to you. So only 1 week to go..plenty of stuff for your to do. I cant wait to hear your news. Is someone announcing your arrival... ? I just want to know how I will find out!!! Am very excited for you. Got your names all sorted?
We are doing ok. The girls have just got over a tummy bug. Lots of vomiting and some runny poos! Bec is still off her food, Olivia is starting to eat a bit more. Oh...Beccas not sleeping in her cot...AGAIN! Some days she will have a nap, other days she will just stay awake. Shes 19 months tomorrow...which makes me think...Olivia was 19.5 months when Bec was born and Olivia dropped her sleep around 21 months! yay... I can see the sleep pattern happening! Never moind!
-
Good luck Leigh!! I know that you will be fine and I cant wait to see your BA! Do you want one of us to do it?? I can if you like - you cantext me if you like?
Mel - hope you guys get better asap and you all start eating agaiun soon!
As for me - Bella going So well! She is speaking so much and will have a go at anywords that you say - she says some words that she shouldnt too! oops!
Bella is still sleeping 1 sleep during the day - she slept for 3 hrs yesreday! WOW I hope that she keeps having a day nap for a while - I will be trying to push her to but I guess they do what they are going to do!
DH and I have ramped up the TTC - I have my fingers crossed that I will fall this month after the early loss last month - we fell straight after my mc with Bella so fingers crossed!
Hope eveyone else is well!
Better gp - at work and need to get some stuff done!

Hi Girls,
I have an iphone so I am hoping to be able to log onto the net in the hospital after my caesar and let you girls know. I will post in here. Will do a birth announcement in the birth announcement thread when I get home, but Kate maybe pm me your mobile number, that way I can text you if I have problems logging onto the net and you can post in here for me, thanks!!!
I just got back from my ob visit at the hospital and I haven't stopped crying. Lets just say I was nervous about my c/s before my appt but I am absolutely terrified now. Coz I am such high risk due to having lots of scar tissue inside they have told me that I will be put to sleep to have my c/s next week. I am petrified. That also means DH can't come in with me or anything. I have been put to sleep twice before when I had to have D&C's after my miscarriages but I never thought I would have to be put to sleep for my c/s. The reason being is that they are expecting the operation to take a long time and they don't want to risk the epidural wearing off half way through. They are also worried about me bleeding heaps. She said I may need a blood transfusion and if the bleeding can't be stopped I will have to have a hysterectomy. I am sooooo scared of dying its not funny. I have always been afraid of dying but now something bad like this is happening I am really scared. I am too scared to tell my family (my parents etc) that I have to be put to sleep coz my mum is a super worrier (that's where I get it from) and she will panic big time. Also they are cutting me up and down as well as crossy ways so I will have my normal c/s scar on the outside as well as one from my belly button downwards. I couldn't care less about the scar coz its not like I wear bikinis or anything anyway.
Mel - Hope the stomach bug didn't last too long. Fingers crossed Bec isn't dropping her day sleep just yet. God I hope Lara still sleeps for at least a year yet. Cadence dropped hers at 2 and a half and I was devastated.
Kate - Fingers crossed this is your month that you fall pregnant.
gotta go, my kids have been playing in the sand pit and have just walked in the house covered in sand. They did it yesterday too and I had to vacuum and mop to get rid of it, I don't feel like doing it again.
-
Kate- Bella sounds devine! Bec has started using more words in the past week. Its funny...she falls over and goes...I alright! I just want to eat her!
Leigh- hun, big hugs to you. I can feel your anxiety. try and stay positive ...easy for me to say but I suppose if they have changed you for a day where you have top surgeons, then youre in good hands. Just lots of hugs to you. Make sure you rest up before the big day.
Us- well....bec has had the runniest nappies today. She farts and her nappy needs changing. Its revolting. She has hardly eaten a thing, but is happy enough to play. She ate a bit of broccoli and cauliflower for tea...thats about it. She didnt have her day sleep today...she was in the cot standing, I went in there to tell her to go to sleep and I could smell her. Poor thing! So i have just kept her up. Hopefully a warm bath will get her relaxed. Any suggestions for runny poo? Shes getting plenty of watered down juice (wont touch her water at the moment)...thats about it!
-
Leigh - I will PM you my mobile number asap! Please try not to worry ( i know i know) as you will be in great hands! It is scarey being put under for an op - I had my gall bladder out about 2 months ago and it was scarey but doesnt last for to long - at least you will have a new bub to wake up to! I just had pain! I know you will do SO well and know that n Bellwe are all here for you!
I cant wait to see your BA! Good luck and we will all be thinking of you!
Mel - I have always given Bella cerial or toast when she has the runs - kinda binds them up a bit - but saying that it its a bug then its best to let it run its coarse - so it all leaves her system.
Bella is astounding me with her words now! And I love how if I ask her a question she says Yes or no! Its getting easier to comuniacte with her! And she says Lub you and pretty mummy.. so cute!
Not much else - O day tomorrow so then starts the waiting game...
Talk soon
Kate xox
-
Thanks girls, I'm trying my hardest to try and think positive. I just want me and the baby to be ok!!! Bub is still breech but hopefully that wont cause any more drama in getting him/her out.
Mel - How is Bec today? Hope she gets better soon, poor little girl.
Kate - What are you doing on the internet when its O day tomorrow.........get to it lol. Fingers crossed this is your month. Bella sounds like such a little chatter box, cute!!! Lara has been coming out with more words the past few wks too.
Hi to everyone else.
-
Happy shaggin Kate!!! Now get to it!
Leigh I totally understand your fears. I read in the labour section your thread. Some of the girls who have had the GA seem to think its better in terms of being able to wake up and move around better. I know yours is a bit dfferent in that its higher risk, so it makes it that more stressful, but I am glad for you they are getting the most experienced in to do it. sounds like youre going to be in good hands. The girls had some great thoughts on what you might want to be done...like filming or photos of baby being only held and bringing in for the first feed. Something to think about.
Rebecca is much better. Yesterday she didnt eat a great deal, but at least had dry farts!!! She hasnt had a runny nappy for 2 days now and had yoghurt for breaky this morning. She still stinks though when she does fart and when I went into their room in the middle of the night to see Olivia with her nightmare, the room stunk...Bec was up at 4am with a rumbly tummy, so ended in with us for the last few hours. Hopefully its all good from now on.
Dh and I spoke about names again. I wonder when we will be 100%? Hes the one who is chosing ultimately so when he changes his mind so frequently it makes it hard! The latest we have come up with is Jessica Ellen (ellen is his grandmothers name). To be honest I like it much more than Amy Melissa...although I do like my name in there, but Im not too fussed at the same time!
Have a good day all!
-
Hi girls
Oh Leigh you poor thing, how are you feeling now? It's so awful to be scared of something :( I think you will be just fine, and it wont last long. I can't wait to hear your update!
Mel how are the runny poos? Hope you decide on a name soon, I like both of them! I was watching a birth show before and a girl had the name Autumn...I really like it! But Im not sure if I would use it....my bet is hubby would hate that name... lol. Name choosing is so damn hard.
Kate oooooooh you are in the 2WW now! Any symptoms?
I'm at work atm. I miss Mia so much today, I keep getting teary. Silly , I know. Im working late tonight so I wont see her at all today. We are going away Wednesday, so that should be good! She missed her day sleep yesterday which nearly killed me, because she was so full on and kept having tanties coz she was tired. Just texted Mum and she said she is asleep now thankfully.
Hope everyone is well x
-
Hey skye...all good here. The girls are better and back at day care. We havent decided on a name at all now! Too hard! Have a fun time away.
Kate- how was your shag fest!!! LOL...its ok, you dont have to tell me!
Leigh- only 2 more days and you'll have your little baby in your hands. All the best my dear. Try and stay positive and remember you are having the best surgeons that they have got. I hope that youre all organised and have decided on how you would like the birthing process to go. I am looking forward to your announcement. What time are you due in? AM or PM? I'll be hovering around to hear the news. Again, all the best and take care.
-
Hi Girls,
Sky - hope your day at work is going quick for you and that you'll be back home with Mia before you know it. Have fun while you are away. How long are you going for?
Kate - When is test day for you? Fingers are crossed for you!
Mel - Glad your girls are better. We still haven't decided on a girls name yet. If a boy it will most definitely be Kai but still not sure of a middle name at this stage. We have two in mind but not sure yet.
I'm still absolutely terrified about Wednesday. I have to be at the hospital at 6.30am and my c/s will be sometime in the morning. I had an appointment with the anesthetist (sp?) this arv and he said they would prefer just to give me a spinal/epidural but the obstetrician will have the final say I guess. He said the only thing about me going under a general is that they need to get the baby out fairly quickly coz it can be affected by the anesthetic whereas a spinal/epidural has no affect on bub. But I think its going to take a long time to open me up, get bub out, tie my tubes and stitch me back up, that's why the ob wants the general so the spinal doesn't wear off in the middle of everything. I'd just feel more in control if I was awake and knew what was going on. The obs have stressed to me how complicated the surgery will be. I'm still crying all the time coz I'm that scared of dying. Can you believe I am actually going to write my girls "goodbye letters" tonight just in case something terrible does happen. My mum arrives tomorrow. She doesn't know the full extent of how complicated my surgery will be, she is a bigger worrier than me so I don't want to stress her but I don't want her to see me crying tomorrow either. Tomorrow night putting my kids to bed will be the hardest for me. They will be asleep still when I leave for the hospital on Wednesday.
Like I said I have an iphone and will get on and post in here sometime on Wednesday, most likely in the arv but I've got Kate's mobile number just in case I have problems logging on or something. I will post in the BA section once I am home.

Oh Leigh hun, I am so sorry that you feel this way. Big cyber hugs hun. I dont know what else to say, I just feel sad that you feel this way and that you feel so terrified for your own life. I will be sending out a prayer for you and your little baby.

Thanks Mel. I know this should be a joyous occasion and I am mad at myself for feeling this way but I can't help it. I feel sorry for my baby coz I should be celebrating but instead feeling terrified. A few people have told me not to worry and that if it was so dangerous then the obstetrician would've recomended that I terminate the pregnancy when I first found out and I guess this is true.

Oh Leigh - I am so sorry you are going through this and are so scared. Your post really touchd my heart and I have shed a few tears for you. You will all be AOK - but I know it must be so scarey.
I cant wait to see your post in here and I will be able to jump on a post if you cant.
Try and enjoy your last days with the girls before you bring home a new little bundle!
Good luck hun and I will pray for you as well.

Thanks girls. Rachael, good to see you back in here. Hope you've been well.
My mum arrived today & we've been racing around doing last minute things. I feel rushed off my feet & still feel like I've got so much organising to do.
