Hello Ladies!! Hope everyone and their bubba's are well!!
Aww how cute audax.. I so so hope my next one is a girl!!! lol and star I also feel like I'm single parenting, as DP starts 6:30 and doesnt get home til 8ish most nights!! Hopefully that won't last too long although I don't have a 3yr old as well, hope it all goes well for you..
I had a breakdown the night before last.. KP was being a little bugger! Come 4:00am with barely any sleep and whinging bub.. Caved and put him in the swing for an hour while I napped on the couch! I think the heat really gets to him.. been soooo muggy at nights its horrible.. BRING ON WINTER!!
I've been wondering about teething.. KP has been drooling lots (getting dribble rash) and tends to bite down. As soon as anything is in his hands it goes straight to his mouth and starts chomping.. Can't see any swelling or redness tho. I really hope not yet!!
Is it normal that he has slowed down on his poo's?? Went from almost every feed, to every couple of feeds, then once in the morning, and now he hasn't pooed since yesterday morning.. I know that babies can go up to a week without pooping (I think you had that Audax???) not sure if i should be getting concerned or not.. so it's either one or the other that has been making him unsettled.. Might wait til my mum comes on the wknd and see what she thinks..
In other exciting news (not for some!), have a meet tonight to organise my tattoo.. going to continue on that tatt I already have, thinking of including something that represents KP.. Will see if it works.. If not, there's always next time.. lol DP is getting his name around his forearm so it looks as tho its been branded on, should look really good.

eza - we have lots of drooling and munching on things here too! im hoping its not teething so soon! but was thinking maybe it's just the fact that they have discovered their hands etc and they can start producing saliva now?? but really no idea! another thing - the poo's have slowed down here as well! but im not concerened!
Yeah - I wouldn't worry about the poos slowing down. DS is still fairly regular, but definitely less than earlier on.
DS is loving chewing on his hands - almost so much he gags. I thing it's less of a teething thing and more that they've just discovered what they can do, like hj said. I figure if you have your hands in and around your mouth that much you are going to dribble!
Audax - that dress sounds cute for DD, mind you the prawn analogy has me giggling, imagining a prawn in a little pink dress.
DS isn't into any 00s yet, even though he's a bruiser. At least this guy's proportionate - I looked up to see when DD was 62 cm long and she was almost 4 months old. Mind you she weighed 7.5kg by then - little butterball!! She had such a round tummy - am noticing it's more evenly spread on DS!
We hung out at the shops today, to beat the heat. Little bunny loved it, with so many new faces to smile at! I'v got her on the boob now - she is trying to smile and suck at the same time - soooo cute!
awww little bunny! i need a cutesy wootsy name for Miss Emily!
Audax - don't you just love it when they try to smile and suck at the same time! so so cute it totally melts your heart! Im so glad i have stuck bfing out to see that! Miss Em also likes to fill her mouth up than spit it all out! cheecky!!!
So sorry to hear that Kel. It has been so nice sharing our pregnancy journeys together and the start of our baby journeys too. It is such a shame you won't be around to continue our little group. If you or BB changes such that you can come back, please pop in here again.
We had the night from hell last night. Our little muffin is really uncomfortable at the moment and I can't work out what it is. She's not sleeping more than half an hour at a time, and just squirming, seemingly in pain, all the time. Can't see any real issues and we haven't really done anything differently, although she is just about due for a poo. And it's so bloody hot!
all is well with us KP is growing so fast!! Has had some issues with not wanting the bottle so we are back on the boob for now but I hope he gets over it soon. Sleeping right through almost every night (usually 9-6), about 2 nights a week he will wake around 3 or 4 so not complaining.
He will be having his first sleepover at nanna's next wknd.. Im gonna be freting the whole time I reckon. Was bad enough leaving him for a few hours let alone the whole night!!
I joined a playgroup the other day and I'm looking forward to meeting other mummies and getting out and about more often. Every Thurs it's a walk along the beach so will be sneaking in a few dips if the hot weather keeps up. KP loves a swim

Hey, it certainly has been quiet! We must all be busy with our bubba's!
Miss P is cruising along. Still not sleeping much during the day unless I am holding her. I did get her down for a big sleep in her cot this afternoon, but it took me about an hour and a half to settle her! Hopefully if I persevere it will get easier. i am not prepared to let her cry herself to sleep, so I can;t complain about the settling time. She is still co-sleeping at night and she sleeps pretty much all night with a sleepy BF at about 5am then back to sleep until I get her up at about 8am to get her ready to take the big kids to school.
We are still BF with several comp feeds a day. She prefers the breast and completely refuses a FF between about 9pm and 8am. She probably gets about 50% BF AND 50% FF. Given I was unable to BF the other two I am pretty happy with that. I'm still taking Motilium to maintain my supply. I had doubts about whether I still had much milk or whether she was feeding for comfort (my boobs are generally quite comfortable) but I went to the gym last week and looked down to discover I had leaked all over my top. hopefully people just thought I was sweating in some very odd places!
Miss P has plenty of smiles, the odd giggle and lots of stories to tell. She is still wearing 000 with the odd small 00. We have been going to see a few movies, which Miss P loves because it means 2 solid hours of snuggling!
DH and I went out for dinner the other night and left Miss P and the big kids with my mum. She was quite happy and mum said she really didn't cry while I was gone. She still gives DH a bit of a hard time and is definitely a mumma's girl. They have certainly bonded over the last few weeks though and she is currently snuggled up on DH's chest.

DS is growing well - still hangin onto the 97th percentile line with his weight, lol! About to go into 00's but really don't want to - I love his 000 wardrobe and it seems such a shame to move on! We've had a couple of nights in a row of sleeping through, which was a thorough surprise to me - but last night he woke at 3, which was fine too. Not expecting sleeping through to be the norm, but we'll see. Day settling is hard, tried to just settle him in his cot without me rocking him in my arms today, but that was an all out failure! Funny that at night he sends himself off to sleep though!
No going out happening here, although I will have to decide what to do in a few weeks when I have a hens night and wedding a couple of weeks in a row. Haven't even tried him on a bottle yet. Must get DH to give it a go.
eza - i have scored with a great sleeper also! 8ish-6ish! it's great isn't it! i now wish wish my other girl would sleep through the night! LOL
Where are you off to next weekend? hows play group going? i wish we lived near the beach - a walk along the beach would be nice!
nickle - sorry i had to laugh at you "sweating"! i bet you enjoyed dinner out also! i so can't wait for one day when we do that! hahaha

AFU - well Miss Em is doing great! she is still BF! I have thought about stopping a few times but i keep going! she has had the odd bottle or 2 of EBM tho and she is fine with it!
She is such a chatterbox lately! and her giggles and smiles just melt your heart! She is pretty awesome sleeper (so due for a good sleeper her sister is terrible and always has been)
She is rolling around a fair bit, and if i have her on the couch in the corner with pillow she tries to sit up by herself! so growing very fast!
I start back at uni next week and am really not looking forward to leaving her!
Sounds like the hubs are all coming along well. We have now dropped the night feed so are also getting a long stint overnight. We still give a dream feed at around 10.30 but he doesn't even stir when we get him up to give it! He then usually wakes somewhere between 6.30 & 7.30.
We had our 8 week mchc appt today and the little man is on fire! He has gone from the 10th percentile to the 25th percentile and weighs 6kg, 61cm long and head is 42. He has to have his 4 month injections tomorrow
We are starting to get into a better routine now that all of dd's activities have started back, I much prefer to have a routine! We have 3yo kinder on Monday & Friday mornings, mothers group Wednesday's, playball on Thursday mornings and swimming Saturday mornings! Tuesdays and Sunday's are rest days!! So far so good, Campbell has been quite portable so far which is great.
I have been seeing a physio and doing pilates to ease back into exercise (I don't want to stuff my pelvis this time) all is going really well and I am allowed to start running next week thank god! I have been dying to get back to exercise other than walking! If all goes well I should be right to go for the start of the hockey season - yay!
Hopefully all these bubba's keep doing great things and let us get plenty of sleep!
Nickle - I am still having issues with KP not sleeping much during the day. All I can get is roughly 2 hours around lunch each day (sometimes more, sometimes less). I also don't want to let him cry himself to sleep. Also how do you manage the movies??? We have been wanting to see a couple but I know that KP wouldn't allow me to sit through the whole thing, I would have to end up walking the isles!! And I feel guilty about leaving him with babysitters all the time.
I am going to see Rihanna tomorrow night with my sis and two of my girlfriends. DP got me tickets for my Birthday last year so I've had to wait 4 months!! DP is having a boys night at home so I decided to make a night of it as well.. Booked a hotel in the city. Getting a little excited now, Will hopefully be a good night. Just pray that KP behaves himself for nan! I have left him there a few times now for a couple hours while I do stuff, I'm hoping he feels comfortable being there.
Well I did my first Public Breastfeed last night!! Went out to dinner with FIL + DP and BIL + DP for my DP Birthday. I did take a bottle but we ended staying longer than planned so had to BF. Was weird at first, Luckily it was a cool night so I just covered with a blanky
I measured KP's length yesterday and he is 65cm!! I think he is going to be a tall boy! Althought both DP and I are quite tall so it doesn't surprise me. Is weighing 8.2kg now. But at least he is starting to even out and not look so chubby
I'll stop rambling on now and get on with my day.. plus KP is getting annoyed that I'm not giving him enough attention. Hope all are well
Miss Em had her first bottle of formula today thank goodness i wan't home for it! i struggle when i give her a bottle of EBM! feeding DD1 with formula felt like the most natural thing in the world, but feeding Em a bottle is weird and feels not right! i think that is because i have mangaged to BF her for so long now (well i feel its been a long time) IFYKWIM
But she seems to really not be wanting the boob lately (not sure if its cause she has been sick and me also) plus with uni and study it's getting hard, so looking at adding some formula feeds.
Other than that i have survived my first week back at Uni! im so so tired (between us the tired im feeling is kinda like the tired feeling when your preg.... i hope not, its only been once hahahaha)
OMG HJ. Imagine! We still haven't DTD yet! Too tired by the time we go to bed it is the last thing on my mind - poor DH is very deprived!! Hopefully once you get a routine sorted for uni and home you will start to get used ro it and not be so tired
We are waiting until 6 months for solids. They have changed their philosophy since DD was a baby only 2 1/2 years since she started solids! At our 4 month check up at MCHC they gave us the current brochure and I was surprised to see that you just go straight to finger food. No starting off with rice cereal and then adding vege's every couple of days. Not sure how I feel about it. I think I will do both and give some finger food and mush! Campbell watches us when we eat but is not yet really reaching out for it. And in the grand scheme of things 2 months will go pretty quickly so I'm not in a hurry to start him early.
We are having our first weekend away with both kids for the labour day weekend. Just going to a farm about 3 1/2 hours away with some friends and their kids should be fun but it is going to be a squeeze fitting everything in the boot!
Then the countdown is on for my parents visit. They arrive on April 3 and will be meeting Campbell for the first time. They are staying for about 3 weeks so I'm hoping it is enough time for him to really get used to them and interact with them so they get some great memories. They wont get to see him again until we go over to see them for his 1st birthday in October so I am really keen for him to be comfortable with them asap. They then leave a few days before easter and then straight after easter DH's company is having their yearly conference which is on the gold coast this year. This will be Campbell's 1st flight, hopefully he is behaved as his sister has always been! Looking forward to getting away though and Caitlin is at an age now where she will really get a kick out of movie world etc.
