I'm really sorry Vicky I didnt mean to come off sounding like that. I can understand it must've been difficult with PND, I had depression for 4 years and found it hard enough to look after myself, I couldnt imagine having to try and look after a baby as well.
I guess sometimes I am just looking for something that tells me what I am doing is right. ALthough I went with my gut this morning and she put herself to sleep.
Again, I apologise Vicky and if I offended anyone else, I'm really sorry

Tara its all good :) I think Vicky was saying its different for different babies & emotions. I know you didn't offend me.
I think you are doing a fantastic job!!! Go with your gut. Pinky McKay has a book called Parenting by Heart and its all about intuition and going with your instincts. I reckon that is the best way to parent. Whatever sits right with you & your baby!!! Let no one else tell you that you are doing anything "wrong" there are no "wrongs"... well if you take your baby & shake them and hit them I think I would consider that wrong...
ANYWAY... I put the article up because its how I feel ;)
Banana is medium. I trialled it with Jovie & she reacted. Whenever Jovie reacts its with either a rash within an hour of eating it and tummy pains, or tummy pains for around 12 hours afterwards. She did both with banana.... urgh. She does both with soy as well but milk is just the tummy pain.

Tara you are doing a fantastic job. You do whats best for your baby...people will always tell you wats best... but its what worked for them as well. Like when i was having routine problems... your advice worked wonders for me and it appears i have a totally different child now... i greatly appreciated your help and it saved my sanity :)
For the life of me Chelsea will not eat anything other then fruit gels and pumpkin... but i guess its a start. Yesterday she had 1 feed and 3 bottles... and then slept for 13 hours overnight... DH was worried so he woke her at 9am..(she was stirring anyhow), gave her a bottle and now back to sleep again.... wonder if she is catching up with sleep or is still gettnig over her cold? Or should i be greatful she is sleeping so much!!!
Yesterday she started saying DADA.. and now its all she says unless she wants my attentio, so cute. Have been decorating her room all girly, pink curtains with white drapes that have butterflies all over them, new lamp with butterflies and snails and flowers, butterfly book holders.... man i could decorate for days!!!
All of Chelseas old cot stuff we are putting away for new bub (and before you say 'It must be a girl'.....all of the stuff was neutral cos we didnt know if Chels was a boy or girl when we got them) :p
We can nearly crawl!!! SO so so close... but just not there yet!
-
Tara ur a wonderful mum and we all are :D
Wtg Chelsea saying another word!! Emelia says Dada continusly now too no mum anymore its all dada and nan nan!! crawling arghh!!...wat ever happened to being able to put them down and know they couldnt go anywhere, soon they will be following us everywhere!!!
Emelia's 2nd tooth came through yesterday

I just caught the cutest photo... Matilda has been walking around in her PJ's with a tiara on and jumped on the lounge, DH asked her to cuddle Jovie for a second and I caught it.... sooo cute. Nearly strangling  but very cute.
-
Hahaha very cute Christy!!
-
Tara - sorry darlin, by no way did you offend me hun. :hug:It was like christy said. sorry if I gave you the wrong impression - my head is a bit all over the place a the moment, and unfortunately the written word doesn't always convey the same message as the spoken one. My main intention was that even with every child in the same family it can be so different - different circumstances, different type of child, different place in your own life, etc... I'm different with Aston to how I was with Laura and Nathan. Probably far more relaxed I think.
Christy I love the photo of your girls. Its gorgeous. Moments like that are precious aren't they?
Kim you sound like you having heaps of fun decorating Chelsea's room... will you post piccies on your web page when your finished? still think your having a girl.. lol
I bet Emelia looks very cute with two little teeth. WTG on the arm too...thank goodness no operation yet.
I gave Aston a rest from food yesterday, and he had a small amount of avocado today. I will re-introduce slowly, and will keep it to a minimum of 1 cube I think for the moment. He likes eating, it just doesnt seem to agree with him I hope that as he gets older he starts to handle it a bet better...
I have done something to my knee, which makes carrying a nearly 9 kg bub around interesting! It is so incredibly sore, and making me very cranky...

Supercute pic Christy.
Thanks guys for all your kind words, I am definately going with my gut now..it's never let me down yet!
Hooray for Chelsea! Evie's not saying any words (she did say dada a few weeks ago) but she gets up on all fours and is so close to going forward. She's also doing what i like to call bunny hops where she gets up on her toes from all fours and does a little jump forward. I think it may be time to invest in some safety gates!
-
Thanks Vicky . posts can be like texting hey? if only we could convey tone... :)
WOOHOOOO look at you Christy! Sexy new do!
-
Yeah!! That was my mother's day pressy but its just taken me ages to redo the avatar, well actually I got Ambah to do it because I truely am not that good at computer stuff. Yeah yeah I know I'm a mod and have computer issues
Vicky I've had to deal with PND, and with Matilda when I went to the sleep school it was awful... the info they gave was so against what my heart was & the amount of times I was pacing the driveway just to breathe and be able to cope through the hour... I couldn't count.
-
Ill post some pics of her curtains and room tmrw VIcky.....it looks super cute!! Theres some pics on her site atm from before the new curtains went up.
I hope Chelsea likes butterflies! LOL
-

Thanks girls... having a mummy melt down day. I just had breakfast at 1pm after I phoned DH to come home from work to help out. Matilda is sick again and just going between tantrums to jumping off furniture... and Jovie won't settle, has to be held. The sling isn't even working today. I "think" its teeth but no idea really. I just gave them both panadol & demazin for their noses and I've eaten breaky and now am going to go have a shower.
-
Hugs Christy, good that DH is able to come home and help out.
Love the new hair do!!
-
DH was going to stay home today... since 1am ive had stomach cramps, migraine and vomitting... but i know how much work he has on and to do before we fly out on Thursday i sent him packing. To top it off Chelsea wont stop spewing her food up....as just gone back to bed now. Ill think of breaky and shower soon!
Just to let u know ive just put the pics of her new room up on Chel's site if you want to have a looky :)
-
Love the new pic of your girls Christy. And great new do too!
Vicky - that's a gorgeous pic of DH. That cuddle just oozes love :)
Kim - what a clever girl! She obviously knows she's winning hearts by saying dadda. Ella is saying "Ba" other than that she's babbling away in her own special way.
As mothers do what we can and what we think is right for the family. Its so hard. DH looks at me and says "what do we do" as if i've been doing it for my whole life. I always say "i dont know, but i guess we need to try something". Even for those who already have kids each one is so different.
DH left work this morning telling me work is going to get "crazy busy" for the next 3 weeks and not to expect him to be around much. I'm disappointed but we'll get through it somehow and I'll wrangle a favour from him at the end of it ;)
Ella had her first sunday roast on the weekend. Apple+Pumpkin+Pork and lots and lots of gravy. (before everyone gasps, it wasnt my idea) Blame the ILs! One minute i'm feeding her pumpkin and apple with pork and the next minute (while i was eating) they were spooning gravy into her mouth. She loved it! I had to sit on my hands to stop myself from pulling the spoon away. I thought "relax Ann" its just a cup of gravy. Yes a tea cup of gravy! My MIL had a go, FIL had a go and DH had a go at feeding Ella. Just when did i get so conservative? I just cant see any nutritional value in gravy....but then maybe she enjoyed the flavor.
Otherwise she's still having apple with everything haha. :)
