I have fallen so far behind that I am struggling to catch up with everyone's posts!
Well I too Ann had gastro and now fit all of my old clothes, plus stuff I haven't fit since I met Darren (4yrs)! My supply dwindled for a few days and Jake had some dry nappies but I gave him his sippy cup to play with most of the day and apart form tipping it all over himself he managed to drink quite a bit, I also gave him heaps of fruit to try and keep him hydrated. For myself I used the gastrolyte every hour and that seemed to work. Once I was able to keep my fluids in, even the gastrolyte was going straight thru me, I stocked up on the water and my supply was back in 24hrs.
Once I got over that, last Sunday I started eating again, Jake started throwing high temps and vomiting. Took him to Dr on Monday - just a virus nothing can do. By Wed night he was spiking at 39.7 was the highest I think on Thursday arvo and he was on panadol 4hrly, nurofen 6hrly, his demazin 6hrly and tepid baths everytime he spiked. When the drugs were working he was ok, not chatting or smiling tho, so we did that for 48hrs still no improvement so back to the doctor. He is now on antibiotics but within 12hrs of starting them we had our first real smile for the week - it's amazing how quickly they bounce back!
So today we are both healthy and DH has gone to work coming down with something - sore throat etc. AAArrrrrggghhh I am sick of this cycle!!! To top it all off he has been off his food, understandable, and this morning has a ash on his tummy, back and neck!
SO that is where we have been - I've been trying to catch up with people and just haven't had the energy or the opportunity!
Hope all are going well! Hopefully I am now back for good!
Glad u and Jake are better and i really hope ur DH gets better soon.
we had an awful night up every hour, so Emelia ended up in my bed with me and DP in the spare room!! just dont know whats up...i cant see any teeth coming. arghh !!
I have been so busy this weekend, having fun with DH. It was nice to be Vicky for a while, instead of constantly mum. The weather was sublime, and we had a ball.
Nelly - thanks for the advice. I'm feeling heaps better but now DH has the bug. He's been up vomiting every 30mins - poor thing. Gave him some ice blocks to suck on and he felt better.
Ella's water intake is much better a few more wet nappies. I wish she would guzzle water too but she's a sipper.
Vicky - I'd love to be Ann again too. have a great time
Ella threw up again last night. Not sure what it is this time... Otherwise we're good. We're busy packing and Ella hates the sound of the stickytape and cries when we use it. So we're packing in the hallway outside our apartment.
me again!!!
OMG i'm soooooo tired today!!! have so much sewing to do but cant get motivated.
i'm stalking the postman too as i'm waitinfv for several packages to arrive and i'm getting impaitient!!!!!
off to swimming today which sophie loves!!! wears both of us out!!
DH got a bonus yeaterday!!! $5500 after tax woohoo!!!!!
Yikes! I feel like I've been gone for years!!! This move is an absolute nightmare. DH is on a full-time roster, which is 13 hour days so on his one day off last Friday he hired a truck and moved everything out of the house. now i'm trying get all the little things done with evie on my own! it's so hard and i am so over it. plus at the IL's house where we are now I cant put Evie down anywhere without having to stay with her. So i am going a little loopy!!
On the solids front - unbelieveable! she eats everything!!! its great!! shes having yogurt and muesli for breakfast, sandwich for lunch and whatever we have for dinner. I have been buying jarred stuff cos its a bit hard for me to cook proper dinners for us at the moment!
Sleeping's going a bit better, she has a stretch of about 4 hours at first but then still wakes every 2-3 hours for the rest of the night.
anyways, she wont go down for her nap at the mo - ive been trying for 45 mins!
will try and catch up with everyone soon! back to packing for me!
we are back to waking through the night..arghh so she was in bed with me all night last night, its the only way we can both get sleep! so poor DP in spare room lol
Kim Jake has only eaten mashed pumpkin with couscous and pork this week - that's all he'll have and maybe some yoghurt after. So much for a varied diet!
*hugs* Kim maybe there's alot for her going on and is choosing to use her power towards eating?? Matilda did that from a young age... refused to eat over and over again. She still does it now
Ann I hope thing improve!!
AJP take your time I'm a patient woman, and I would love some links
Me.... well Jovie & I drove up the coast for a lovely relaxed coffee/picnic with Aston & Vicky!!! We've been trying to catch up for weeks, but aside from it starting with both of us being a bit vague, we got there in the end!! & it was a lovely beautiful morning.
I'm excited about having DH home tomorrow, Ekka day (for the non-QLDers its a public holiday that Brissy gets for the Royal Brisbane Show). So we hope to go down to the water for a picnic & play in the park... hopefully relaxing.
christy glad you and vicky had a great day!!!! i'm hopefully up in feb so we;ll have to organise a catch up
iam sewing today well not right now :P, but getting there!!!
tara things are hard when bubs is not in familiar surrondings!
I had a lovely morning today with Christy and Jovie. Jovie is absolutely delightful, and has a laugh that is contagious. Aston and her were so funny together, chatting away. Took Christy and I a while to actually meet up!! (thank goodness she is such a patient woman!)
Hope the move for both Tara and Ann is over quickly, and that you both recover from it quickly as well. I think that makes quite a few of us now that have moved since our bubs have been born! What on earth are we thinking!!!
