OMG. Ok, so i kept going in (every 20-30mins) and shhh'ing and patting and saying it's ok and she'd resettle on her tummy or side and go back to sleep. until 1030 and she was just getting sooooo upset, it took me an hour to try and settle her, but i really wanted her to lay back down on her own but she kept climbing up and grabbing for me and her crying was just got worse and worse, so i picked her up and she just wouldnt settle. i thought her teeth might have been giving her some bother cos nothing that usually works worked. so i gave her some nurofen, dh settled her back to sleep. 20mins later she's awake again and screaming to the point she throws up, so i brought her in bed with us.
so now i dont know what to do. do i try and help her settle herself to sleep? i dont want her to get so upset because i'm not picking her up that she makes herself sick over it. poor baby

Tara - what does evie have to eat before going to bed? Is she pooing ok? Maybe its a sore tummy??
Ella woke up at 12am and was a bit upset but i sat with her and stroked her leg. I think she was too hot. So i let her just sleep in her sleeping bag and took of the sheet. In the morning she's at right angles to the bed!
So much for not moving! she's obviously a good wriggler even in her bag. :)
Off to the GP today to see if little miss has lost or put on weight.

Yeah pretty good besides this stupid cold i have, go for my first scan on the 11th october, still a while away but i cant wait to see the bub on screen :)

we never have a problem with night sleeps, she goes straight to sleep, it's just day sleeps for sosme reasons, did the technique this morning and it took an hour but will persist with it, my friend who did took 4 days but now bubs doenst even stand up, so fingers crossed

Day sleeps here are a bit off and on.
For Ella to go straight to sleep i've gotta get her into bed immediately otherwise she fights sleep and she skips a sleep.

Ok well Chelsea had a check up today. Has gained 300gm in 4 weeks, grown 3cm and her head is 1.4cm bigger!! Nurse is very happy considering she has been sick and all.
Also we have 2 NEW teeth...2 toppies!!
I love your guesses ladies....some are right, some are wrong....not sure how long u have to wait...i had a check up today as well and bub is no where near even engaged...grrrr!!

We've just been to the GP. She's gained 300gms in 2 weeks. Woohoo! All the dairy must be doing the trick. She's asked me to give her cows milk during the day too (instead of water)

what a sh*t of a night. finally asleep at 430am and then up at 630. unbelievable. thats 2 nights in a row. i have no idea whats going on or what to do about it

awww tara thats rough, do you mean she didnt sleep at all until 4.30am??????
perhaps you may need tolook into sleep school or the dreaded CC

she did sleep until 12 then she was just tossing and turning for the rest of the night. i didnt sleep until 430 tho! maybe i need to go to sleep school or do some CW (controlled whinging)

Oh Tara - you poor things. Definitely need to look into something to help you guys. I remember you said she use to sleep well (before she was 6m) Do you remember what you did to teach her how to settle herself?
AJP - Ella's a huge 7.8kg!!! she's a little thing - like me so i dont think she's going to be a hulk of a baby but she's small and chubby. Breakfast was 6 cubes of apple and oats followed by yogurt and toast. At least she loves her toast.

ANN she eats heaps more than sophie!!! she hasnt had brekky for two days now!
TARA does evie have reflux??? maybe try raising the head of the cot?

well i dont know because she cries out a lot in the night and puts herself back to sleep alright.
i did notice a tooth right ready to pop through, so that could've been it too.
I also dropped her afternoon nap today and she went down pretty easily tonight.
i think i just need to feed her up heaps during the day so she's not so hungry at night and then just pat her when she does roll over so she knows its ok
OHH I nearly forgot! she started clapping today!!! It is soooooo cute!!!

well i have given up on the tizzie hall technique, worked for the firdt two days though that could have been a coincidence, but after that she thought it was just a game, very frustrating for me!!! VERY FRUSTRATING, so yesterday went back to what i do normally and she went to sleep after around 15-20 mins so i really cant complain at that.
i tell you, why do they sleep when you want to go out!???? sophie has been asleep for 90 mins!!! 90 MINS!!! she never sleeps for 90 mins!!!

Well we had a lovely day today!!!! caught up with a group of friends in nearby helesville then we all went to watch another two friensds play there footy grand final!! unfortuatly they lost :( , but so nice to be out inthe sunshine, got to have a couple of beers. sophie was fantastic!!!! had a sleep in her pram, something she rarely does these days!!!, missed out on catching up with some BB nappy friends :(, such a busy time of year!!
