mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm hope you all dont think i'm an alco, cos i;m not!!!!!!!!!!!! day out with mummies from mothers groups!!
LOL Jols not thinking badly at all!! I think you needed to have some time off!! Well done! :)
LOL i had a semi big night with the girls from work. Vodka is my evil...
You gotta have some time out - not an alco at all :)
Ella had grapes for the first time. She loves it. I cut them into thirds and she had about 5 of them for dessert.
Tara - going to try the muffins too. I didnt even see the recipe on the box. let you know how it goes.
Ann
a girl of my own heart!! roflmao
good to see we have been letting our hair down!! haven't we all needed it??? (and for you kim and Blanche - the rest of us have been doing it for u!!)
Had an abolutely BRILLIANT time away - so much so that we are going back in feb for 5 times. it was lovely. we were 25mtres away from the beach - it was magic. Aston was a scream - loved it, playing with the sand, and crawling straight into the water - no stopping me I can swim!! lol
feeling alot better, and more together as a family. The kids still feeling sad, but are making their way through it.... as to be expected I guess. Got lots more planned for the holidays - my turn for mums and bubs at my house tomorrow - sciencecentre on Tuesday, painting of Wednesday, catching up with friends at Beerwah park Thursday... Friday haven't planned yet....
so will be busy busy busy - but good busy...
Take care all - thanks for the support over the last few weeks... its has been wonderful. hugs
that's wonderful to hear Vicky - what does it mean "going back in Feb for five times"? DOes that mean going back for five days??? So cute to hear how much Aston enjoyed the water.
AJP - these days, one tiny glass and i'm ready to dance on the table, my tolerance levels have disappeared altogether!!!
Kimbaz - here's hoping you will go to term, fingers and toes crossed for you!
i'm amazed at the incredibly long night sleeps your bubs have - from 6 - 7pm to the next morning. Wow. bilbs has no routine really, when she starts rubbing her eyes, then we wrap her and put her to bed, if she is a bit unhappy about that, i offer the breast and that calms her to sleep. Like it's 10pm now, she went down about 9.30 - i know she'll be demanding another feed around midnight, prolly another one around 4am, then another one around 8am. Are we the only ones having broken sleep still?
Gigi... as far as im concerned.. 37 weeks is term to me and bub can come!! LOL Keep everthing crosses for a safe and healthy arrival tho!
Chelsea is going to bed at 830 or so now... waking at 1140 (altho not last night..woohoo) and then wakes at 730-830am.
I was readin at 10 months of age, babies should be sleeping 11 hours at night and having 2 x 90 min naps during the day for a total of 14 hours in a 2 hour day.
Ella is a 7.30 to 6.30 baby and has 2 x 2hr naps.
LOL i asked Ella if she wanted yogurt this morning and she shook her head. Its a new thing she shakes her head at everything! Banana, apples (her favs) but she still ate them.
Oh we booked our first holiday. We've got 6 nights on Hamilton Island - woo hoo cant wait. MIL is coming with us so we can go diving.
Ann
lol gigi - yep 5 times meant 5 days! i should probably read my posts b4 submitting them eh?
Aston still wakes in the night around 3.30 to 4 but I only feed him if it is after 4am... I am hanging for the day when he sleeps ALLLLLL night! he has 2 sleeps a day about 1.5hrs to 2hrs each.... has been having big day sleeps of late - its all the activity he does in between - he is a very busy boy.
Ann - how exciting about your holiday. When are you going? I bet you can't wait. It will be wonderful.
I have a houseful of people coming this morning... so best get my butt into gear and tidy up the house....
VIcKY so glad you enjoyed the holiday with your beautiful family!! when in feb are you away???
were a 7pm -6am ish girl here with two naps that vary greatly during the day
Jols, any chance of heading a little south when you visit so we can all catch up?
Gigi - hello!!! we are still up all night. usually she's in bed at 630, up at 930 then anytime between 1230 and 330 and then awake for the day at 5/530.
Vicky - great to "see" you back to your ol' self. Good job :)
Kim - think un-water-breaking thoughts
I tried not feeding last night to try and wean off night feeds. it just broke my heart so thats it. I'll try and gradually lessen the amount of time i feed for but she was just sucking through my shirt, like she was so hungry! DH said i should just listen to my instincts and if they say feed her then feed her. Oh those instincts!
anyways, not too bad a night last night i guess, bed at 7, woke at 1030 then 230 then 515 for the day. at least she's healthy :)
TARA yep can/will travel as we will have a car so no probs there!!!!
definatly go with your instincts, you know her best!!
hey hey all I have discovered facebook - new timewaster!
we have some pics on there too - am I allowed to post the link?
No sorry, but you can PM me the link ;) then I can add you.
I'm on there...Christy Janssen, I'm a member of the BellyBelly group there too LOL can't get away from it.
I worked this morning & then had 2 hours while Jovie was asleep at FDC so I did washing up & a load of laundry, I organised us for tomorrow & I'm very happy now, both girls are tired from their day out so will have a quiet arvo here. I have to work tonight *whew* bit tired but will be okay. Now if the birds would only stop waking up Jovie at 5.30am!!
found you in the belly belly group and sent you a request - from my full name Janelle.
anyone else on there?
Im on there and have requested ya Nelly!!
I have absolutely No idea what your talking about... I hate dail up... I have tried to get into facebook, but can't and I think its because my server is soooooooooooooo slow!! but I will be getting satelite soon... so watch out face book...
We're on there. Look for Ann Luu
Tara- sorry to hear it was so tough last night. If it doesnt feel right then you're right to stop.
Went for a bush walk today in the national park. Ella spent the time in a back harness on DH. She was saying mum mum all the way coz she couldnt see me.
Ann
Ann theres lots of you on there!!!
Bush walk sounds like fun!
are there? i think i'm the first one on the list. There's a photo of me lying on the lawn.
How do i find you kim? I only found Christy.
Ann
I should be in Christy's friend list.... when in doubt.... search for BellyBelly members group and u will find me there... plus a stack of others!! LOL
Trying something different tonight - bottle of water instead of mummy milk, plus didnt do a feed right before putting her to bed so patted and rocked for 15mins, which wasnt so bad.
I am stressed to the max about what to do when she wakes up..as in, i'm not going to feed her just give her water and hope for the best. BUT i am rock hard so am going to have a shower to express. amazing how it was like liquid gold all those months ago now i have so much of it frozen that i can watch it go down the drain...oh well, a good problem to have i guess :)
BTW Christy we are up at 5 eeevvverrryyy morning cos of those birds...and the fact that as soon as i brought evie home from the hospital i said 'no getting up before sunrise, which ive always stuck too but didnt count on summer coming so soon and the sun coming up so early!
Send your liquid gold down my way then Tara.... :)
Im on the countdown...20 days to goooo!! And wishing the days would go faster. Ive been in bed all day cos been so sick. At least Chelsea was at FDC.....on that topic... this morning she got a bit clingy and didnt wanna go to her carer.. then tonight she couldnt get into my arms fast enuf.... :(
Not sure what that all ment tho...
Tara, i hope you don't mind me asking, but where is the pressure on you, to night wean, coming from? You sound stressed about it, and you obviously have the supply, so why are you doing it? Maybe you have mentioned it already and my memory has forgotten. I just keep reading how you are stressed out trying to do it, and i keep thinking "Why is she putting herself thru that stress?". Sorry if i'm asking a really obvious or dumb question. (or one you've already answered heaps before). If it's too personal to answer online or something, no worries, just pass, and i'll be fine with it. Just don't like to think of you stressed out hon.
I've been told by people to put bilbs on formula, so i can sleep all night. I'm not good at expressing milk.
I'm on facebook too, so i'm going to try and find you too Ann, Christie and Janelle. I didn't know there was a belly belly group there, but i'm on several groups too (with my mummy hat on lol).
Luua, the bushwalk sounds lovely
Gigi, it just seems that getting up so much in the night is silly to me. Everytime i get up and feed her i think 'this is ridiculous - she eats soooo much food during the day, she's not really hungry and i'm not helping her put herself back to sleep by feeding her'. Not that i disagree with night feeding or anything - it was kinda just something i felt like i needed to address - i dont know if that really makes sense or not!
anyways - water was a no-go last night so of course i ended up feeding. i think i'll just stick with the gradual feeding for less time.
one of my gfs is into this facebook biz-o, so i might get into it too!!!
tara when we went through waking up at night, ok it was only once, but after two weeks i decided to cut back on the amount she had from both side, to one, then down to a couple of minutes to virtually a few sucks in my arms in her room, then straight back into bed and that worked for us.
kim OMG 20 day s left wow thats gone fast!!!
must go dig up the guessing game
