ROFLMAO @ waving timtams...it could have the adverse effect and get hubby interested tho! not what she wants at the moment Jols!
& I just noticed the pic of Sophie...the laughs just keep on coming
I've also got empty coke bottles filled with shampoo and glitter which is fun and so is water, food colouring and oil thats also cool...and cheap!
PMSL tara :cryinglaugh: !!!!
sophie presses her face up gainst the glass very cute!!!
we also have bottle with rice and anothr with pasta spiral, must try the oil one, how do you do that one???
Emelia too goes down well at night..she usually goes back to sleep after 3-4 hours in the morning for a 2 hour sleep then will be up for another 3-4hours!
crappy weather here today, cant hang no washing out!
oooohhh blanch are you excited about tomorrow!!!!!
oh Blanche I hope everything goes really well tomorrow.
Okay will have to get out the plastic bottles girls!! I forgot about those!! Jovie's very into Matilda's toys so I haven't had to do much, but her favourite toy is the dogs water bowl.
This morning I was in the toilet (it always happens while I'm on the toilet!) & I found Jovie on the verandah with mud around her mouth and hands and clothes, then I realised... it wasn't mud. It was dog poo!!!! One of the dogs pood on the verandah this morning & I didn't realise it & Jovie found it! It was full of mulberries so was purple in colour & jovie was purple faced!
So me totally sick from my cold picked jovie up and pulled her into the bath, pulled all her clothes off while gagging & popped her in the bath only to have her poo in the bath!!!
I called DH in tears saying "I'm covered in poo, but I can't smell it, but I'm still gagging!" he just got home & said "is that poo still on your shirt?" and yep... it is.
ah well... being a mother is so well paid ;)
sorry christy but :cryinglaugh: as gross as that is, that is soooooo funny!! that is my biggest fear that sophie will find a land mine in the backyard, imagine what you would have been like if you nose wasnt blocked!!
LOL Tara and Jols....Craig needs no encouragement atm let alone with Timtams to!! :P Sorry TMI!
Chels is another fan of empty bottles....and popper straws....entertains her for hours, and the feather duster.
Eww Christy....that wouldnt have been nice....i can smell it from here. My stomach would sure be getting a work out if it had been me there!!
Good luck tomorrow Blanche!!
oh Christy ... the joys of motherhood... if it makes you feel any better - aston regularly poos in the bath and at the moment changing pooey nappies are so much fun!! they are absolutely horrid in smell, and stickyy and revolting - I ended up getting poo on someone-s lounge the other day - that was WITH the change mat under him!!! Aston likes to eat bugs - ****aroches, moths, anything he can find really... says alot about my housekeeping skills doesn't it!!! even if I do manage to vacuum once a day, he still finds them!!
Jols - cheap and cheerful "toys" are the ones they love the best eh? The empty tissue box, and the empty roll from the glad wrap have been winners in this house, as well as the soft drink bottles filled with colour water and dish soap... tried the oil one but didn't work...Tara - how do you do it?
Aston is wanting to draw now, so I am off to buy washable crayons and coloured chalk. As soon as he sees me with a pen, he wants a turn! All that pickng up bugs has paid off it seems lol
EWWW Christy. I would have been horrified as well! did you give your lots of water ahhhgh i cant think about it.
Vicky - Aston and Sophie could have a moth banquet! haha.
Tara - Ella goes to sleep easily (we're very lucky) and stays up for 3-4hr each time.
Kim - poor thing. I hated the waiting too. everthing was just painful - sleeping, sitting, eating (reflux) walking....
New tricks for ella...she puts her toy balls into her box, she shakes her head for "no" and nods for "yes" and recently she opens her cap on her water bottle and sips away on the straw - so funny she just does it like as if she had always done it.
AJP - i love looking at that pic of sophie - makes me LOL.
Ann
Fill bottle with 3/4 cup of water, add couple of drops of food colouring and 1/4cup oil. when you lay it on its side the oil and water separate and when you slosh it around you get a 'wave' in a bottle.
it just looks perrrrdy
Thanks Ladies..im very excited will let u know how i go :D
Christy - all i have to say is ewww i would have vomited everywhere!!! Emelia's favourite thing is the cats water bowl and biscuit bowl!!
Blanche - looking forward to hearing about the scan... can't believe its that time already..,this pregnancy is flying!!
Kim- how you doing today hun?
Tara - thanks for the recipe, will have a go of it and see if it works this time.
Christy - have you recovered from the "poo" episode?
Nelly - HUGS!!! and lots of them. I hope Jake is feeling a little better today. I meant to ask you yesterday do you have a vaporiser? that helps a lot.
Ann - This morning Aston had a MOTH so big that him and Sophie could have shared it!
Jols - sophie added anymore bugs to her menu yet?
My turn for a mummy brag... Aston is feeding himself with a spoon - will dip it in the bowl, and put it in his mouth. very cute, very messy, but he is wanting to do everything himself... independent little mister. so i have a spoon, and he has a sppon and we take turns... breakfast goes on for a while...lol. He is also putting shapes into the shape sorter and we make a game of putting his bath toys away too... growing up too quick!!! Words - ello, Dog, roarra (laura), mumma, dad, Yay, no... and a whole lot of other stuff that I can't understand! I swear he does not shut up when he is awake.
I'm off today to visit a friend with a baby boy who is 6mths. we are using Aston as a guinea pig to help her identify what needs to be baby proofed.,.lol..
have a good day all
xx
Wow Vicky! I thought evie was pretty independent but thats clever!!
Speaking of independent Baby Tumbles decided mummy didnt know best when she said dont hang off the edge of the couch so she decided she'd do what she pleased. in all seriousness, i nearly died cos it looked like she wouldve broken her neck but within a couple of minutes she was pointing and lights and chatting to photos. *phew*
your heart gets caught in your throat eh Tara - I actually hold my breath when Aston takes a tumble, and only exhale after I watch his reaction... very hard not to react though... they are leaving in the world of bumps and bruises now. Aston has brusies on his knees, and a scrape on his toe!
evie's got a bruise on her arm where she keeps banging the highchair tray for noise's sake. i'm like dude, you've got a bruise..its time to stop lol
Ella's not very tumble proof. She screams the house down when she has the littlest of scrapes.
If i'm watching her fall - look out she really turns it up for mummy!
She's now pulling up on ONE knee on the coffee table - We have movement at the station!
Ann
LMAO vicky at the moth!! no more bugs here yet, just tan bark yesterday at the park!!
TARA sophie has worked out how to scale the coffee table, i caught her on it yesterday and to climb over her toy basket, she usually falls off head first the other side, but has mastered the face plant!
im a bit scared as i discovered yesterday that i ovulated, and we had unprotected sex monday night , not ready yet!! that and off to the ob/gyn on wedensday as sex is stil not what i would call comfortable, also need a skin tag removed!! aarrhhhh
Doing good here..NOT!! I swear i was going into labour last night and i was goin to wake up in immense pain......well i woke up to nothing!! All pains vanished...grr!!
Uh Oh Jols!! :P
how do you know you've ovulated?
I'm here reading not really feel like posting much - Jake has bronchiolitis sick boy
hang in there kim!
Get better soon Jake :)
NELLY hope jake gets better soon, sophies starting to get the sniffles!!
ovulation i can tell my the cramps and cervical mucos!!
I haven't got AF still but, sorry if TMI, I have been getting more mucus every now and then - is that possibly me ovulating again already?
and I have been getting some feral moods too (sorry DH!)
mmm hard to say, mine yesterday (TMI) was soooooo egg whitey!!! so almost 100% sure i ovulated, but wil find out in around 2 weeks!! i also concived sophie on day 18 so looks like my cycles may be back to nromal!!
Ultrasound went alright, not as far along as i thought only 9wks and 3 days instead of 11+1 but heartbeat was strong and everything was good..good thing is i get another scan in 2 weeks :) cos they couldnt do much as i need to be 11 weeks! had blood tests too, they dont bother me anymore yay!
Got Emelia her first cloth nappy a peapod..anyone used them? they were the only ones the baby store had.i found the pram i want and the bassinet ohh its getting so exciting!!!
Ann - Ella will be on the move very soon!!!
Ajp - oh no!!!
Get well soon Jake
blanche awesome about another scan!! did that mean you ovulated later???
i had two peapods but sold them as they just didnt fit sophie right!!
Im not sure! Doc just asked me when my last period was and thats where he got the first EDD...cos im not sure when bub was concieved!
hopefully the peapod will be good for Emelia so then i can go buy heaps more:)
ok that makes sence!!
i wouldnt buy too many of one nappies! what you like now you might not in a couple of months its more fun to buy differnts ones as well
ok a know we all talk about sleep but how much would you say your little ones get in 24 hours??
I have Peapods and they are the WORST nappies i have ever brought!! I have 5 of them and they are in the emergency stash.
Bugger only being 9 weeks 3 days Blanche... bit of a set back. I was 6 days out with my dates....which according to dr M2 was concieved on 26th Jan...LOL
Ive not even got another pram yet :( Been meaning to get one but then i keep saying ill carry bub in the sling and Chelsea can stay in her pram. Might hit the MIL up on Tuesday when she arrives with the sad faces and 'Yes we still have to buy a pram' sob story :P
ETA: Id say Chelsea gets around 14-16 hours sleep in a 24 hr period.
LOL Kim, we have the Phil & Teds & I swear by it, best purchase we made for Jovie's arrival. I could go on & on with my love for this pram.... but I won't bore you all ;)
Jols *uh oh* (in Jovie's voice) scary.... I'm ovulating without AF atm, I have the ovulation cramps with excessive CM and then 2 weeks later a huge emotional overcharge, but no bleeding... who knows.
Nelly *hugs* poor Jake!! Bronchiolitis is scary! Did you have to go to hospital?
Blanche our pea pod is okay, not our favourite but it does okay on Jovie, just seems to be less comfortable for her? I still use it regularly though, its not in our dud pile ;) I did as Jols suggested & bought a few nappies & covers from various places to find what I like. ATM my favourity is the magicalls for going out nappies and day care nappies. For longer periods of time though the bum genius is by far my favourite nappy... bit exxy but I love it. For at home I use plain ol terry flats some days with cute covers, its okay now that its warm & I don't have to put more clothes over the clothies.
Anyway... us: Jovie sleeps 1x90 minutes nap a day & overnight around 10-12 hours.
Green Kids pockets, Bubblebubs and BBH Magicalls are my faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaav MCN's!!
And Cute Tooshies for night time!
Monkey Doodlez i like to but not in my fav list!
I looked at that pram Christy but went ouch on the prices and i dont like how Chelsea would be 'under' bub and be hidden or something....she seems to small to be down that low yet!! I been looking in Babyco and their Swallow brand tandem pram...i like the idea bub will be all enclosed unlike a lot of tandems i seen. Of course i love side by sides too but to bulky.
The baby is usually the one under the bigger kid... does that make sense? So when Jovie was newborn she was in the bottom and Matilda on top.... yeah the price is a biggy but we used our $4000.
my absolute favourites are blueberries!!!!!!! love them! i love all mine i dont really have any i dont like, probably the peapods when i had them and the baby kanga isnt my favourite
Ahhhh ok.... hmm still dont think id like bub down low...LOL Gee im fussy....
I will be defiantly checking out all those differnt MCN, Emelia is going to be my test dummy!!
I seen the phil and ted one and i personally didnt like it a friend has it and she loves it! I was looking at the love n care hi-rise tandem one, it has a tray at the front and cup holder for Emelia!! is same size folded down as her one now. i was suprised when i seen the price wasnt bad at all.
Kim i love the side by side ones too
LOL at all our favourites, I think for me the folding ability & the tall back made my choice, I wanted a pram to fit in our car & be lightweight. The tall back for Matilda made it the one. I found alot of toddler seats didn't have tall backs & for some reason that was important to me lmao
bummer dude - sophie has a cold :( all sniffly and snotty with red runny eyes!! i have the IL's coming down today for a few days! not the best weekend but **** happens hey, its only the second cold she's had in 12 months so not bad at all.
a girl in my mothers group txtd me today, he rmum looks after her boy on thurs/frid, yesterday he fell off her bed and broke his collerbone!!
