I am one tired mummy, off for a rest, I just got Jovie to sleep for the first time today... she's been asleep for 10 minutes & now I'm buggered. Matilda's been asleep for ages.
woohoo :nana: ive had a few drinks tonight, can you tell!!!!!!!!

LOL Jols I love it when you have a few drinkie poos :)
I'm finishing a beautiful glass of shiraz viognier red... mmmmm
Jovie slept for 20 minutes today total :( and Matilda woke up after Jovie was asleep for 10 minutes... all in all a bad bad day for sleeping & mummy's brain power.
Tweaking, DTD, walking, DIY S&S...nothing!!!
Im slowly loosing my mind!!
Oh bugger Christy...i hope both girls sleep ok tonight for you
kim, well my dear i dont think bubba is coming out anytime soon!!!! i'd keep tweaking, have you got a breast pump??????? go and play with bubbas clothes and things, get those hormones pumping!!
\
christy wow at 20mins sllep and i whinge at 2x45 mins!!! give me a slapping!!!
LOL yesterday she slept for 2 hours so that was good, today... it all has something to do with Matilda being home. When Matilda is home, Jovie doesn't sleep. Whether or not Matilda is quiet or asleep.
Kim its so frustration, do you remember me with Jovie? She was only 11 days post dates but geez it was awful. Matilda was 17 days overdue & I tried everything. I found booking in a massage daily helped, it only took 2 massages to get me going. I tried acupuncture, DTD, nipple work.... curries, even the dreaded castor oil.
KIM i know somone near waverly private who does accupunture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was booked in to see him 4 days prior to my due date, never made it, but when we saw him at 36 weeks he recommended the following
eat plenty of red meat and drink lots of water, the trick to this is to sip it and add lemon juice to it!!!! room temp not cold , do it do it do it!!! it worked for me!!!!!!!!!!!!! he told me id be surpised to see me again and he didnt
hi all! jols have joined you for a drink 2nite
umm someone asked if Jake had been to hospital no my GP has triage nurse and treatment rooms and tool him there. He is heaps better today and slept from 6pm last night to 530 this morning - bliss! .... especially bcos I went out last night and indulged in a few wines!
Kim I tried everything and couldn't bring Jake on I even walked about 5km a day to no avail... he was 10 days over.
Ill have to give it a go then Jols....water and lemon and meat! Got the breast pump and its useless too..LOL
Accupuncture....hmm needles... ouch! Massages.. i could handle one of them right now!!
nelly glad jakes getting better
kim do you want this guys name?????????? he guarentees you wont need more that 2 go's~!!!!!!
LOL Jols is the amount of exclamation points you are using a direct link to how many drinks you've had ;)
hehehehehehehehehehehheheheheheheheheheheheheh sooooooooooooooooooooo true christy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oooooohooooohhhooooohhh
its my birthday next friday!!!
Good to hear ur having a good night Jols!!! The nappy was good no leaks she had it on for 4 hours!!
got anything planned for ur special day?
Kim, geez that bubba is stubborn!!
good day here, Emelia is trying to run now it looks so funny!! she wont wear her shoes though she hates them wat to do!! :/
Kim, i'm no help to you, i went a fortnight over. But i "officially" have decided you deserve a massage! a pregnancy one, where the massage table has a hole to accomodate your bump so you can lie on your front. I got chiropractic and physio done on me whilst pregnant, but they did it whilst i was on my side, or sitting up.
AJP, have one for me hon!
Kristy, are you well again (apart from getting stuff all sleep i mean)
Blanchie - four hours in one nappy, don't want to rain on your parade hon, but if she's often in a four hour nappy, well, um, i would be worried about the potential for nappy rash. Just something to consider.
What sort of shoes have you got for Emelia? I've been looking at soft leather soled ones called Baby Paws, in purple, it never occurred to me that maybe babies might NOT want to wear them!!! I got told by a shoe specialist, that babies don't have bones in their feet until they're 2. Until then, they just have cartilege in their feet. Wow, you'll all sleep better now, knowing that little gem ha ha.
we are starting a Mooooove and Groooove class on Thursday mornings from next week, i can't wait. Every time music comes on, bilbs starts rocking her body, wiggling her tush, it's so cute, she really really like music.
I'm going to have a "holiday" from stressing about her eating veg and meat, and will just give her the yogurt, custard, pureed fruit, creamy oats - the stuff she eats happily, for the next week. I need a break from the battles.
great idea Gigi!! Take a break from those battles. I do that often ;) seriously. I often decide its not worth my mental health & give Matilda things like sausage rolls for brekky (can you guess whats in the oven atm?) becuase I can't be fussed fighting over food. ITs funny because usually 1-2 of my mental health days is usually all it takes.
LOL Jols you made me giggle last night :) great stuff!!
Seriously pregnancy massage are fantastic means of induction!! I reckon the acupuncture was good but almost too full force because I would have contractions for hours & hours and then nothing. with the massage I would be nice & relaxed and things progressed smoothly. I went into labour after my second massage... a few hours later.
Hows the morning after feeling Jols??? LOL
4 hours...very good Blanche...i cant get past 2 hrs in those nappies!!
Gigi..take a break.. as long as Bilby eating somethign its better then nothing. Chelsea is getting fussy too... everything she used to eat now gets spat out everywhere.
Woohoooo we had a full night NO wake ups!!
Off to the shops to pick up my brand new boobie holder....so exciting...LOL
Kim good to see you are still here!
Gigi we go through stages where Jake lives on pumpkin and couscous, toast, pear and yoghurt. I can't see the sense in stressing either of is out when he refuses everything else.
Jols you're a cracker! ... made me feel so much lighter can't wait to meet you when you come up next year.
Last night we only had a quick stir at 900 bcos the phone rang (WTF who rings at that time) but DH settled him pretty quickly after that.
Have a good weekend all!
Gigi - sorry, but Emelia is often in nappies all the time for 3-4 hours(unless she has done #2) and she has only ever had nappy rash once and that was from teeth and she had nappy free time all day pretty much! i even remember when she was a newborn i would only have to change her every 3 hours. thnx for ur concern but we are all good here..
Emelia's shoes are form Kmart not sure on the brand but they are mainly all leather sandels..they were 30 bucks! she better start wearing them!!! didnt know about them having no bones in their feet!! and I never knew babies didnt have knee caps till Emelia was born!
Kim - yeah i was quite pleased with the peapod so might have to go grab some more! weird how every bub is different!!
We had an awful night, i have the worst headache :( *feeling sorry for myself*
Nelly - that peeves me off when someone rings that late!
Nelly u will never get rid of me :P We ALWAYS get people calling late...i always think its someone with bad news when it happens though.
Oh i hope u feel better soon Blanche... i got a massive headache yesterday arvo.. was in bubs room moving things to make stuff fit and a picture frame from the top of the wardrobe fell and clocked me on the back of the head..ouch!! Poor Craig couldnt react fast enuf.
I find we get nappt rash from sposies more so then MCN....
hi guys the head was fine this morning!! i blame my MIL shes great we get along so well but shes a bad influence when it come to wine!!! will start drinking again soon!! god thats sounds bad, really were not alcohs!!!
GIGI sohpie is in a nappy for up to 12 hours overnight!!! yes we get rash but we have discovered thats from wipes !!!! so not so much now!!
KIM get that timtam waving!!
NELLY christy, vicky and tara i cant wait to meet up next year!! bring it on, boy i hope you like me!!
Chelsea is in a nappy up to and sometimes over 12 hours at night....
Im gunna get them timtams while im out me thinks!!
Jols how can any one not like u....ur a crack up and so nice natured!
Jake is the same with nappies - I use disposables -overnight will be 12 hours one nappy and sometimes the day will be 4 hours depending if the poo machine is on over drive. Having said that I tried the coles sposies and I couldn't leave him in those he ended up with nappy rash, but the Aldi and Huggies are fine.
Ummmm.... listening to all the pregnant talk and ttc talk around I have been getting a bit clucky and thinking about number 2.... we decided today that we might throw caution to the wind and see what happens... in fact it was more like me saying "forget the condom if you stop I will kill you"
sorry if tmi!
That could be sooner rather than later bcos ttc Jake was pretty quick - but I still don't have AF
what are everyone's first birthday plan?
Haven't planned anything yet... thinking the weekend after her birthday maybe a small morning tea... dunno really

Party plans- 24th Chelsea has a party here in Vic... then on the 1st December she has one at mum and dads in NSW and then the 2nd Dec one at IL's house!!
The one at mums will be alot of family and lotsa friends...so quite big. ONe here will be small gathering, and IL's will depend on who can and cant make it!
We are having a BBQ lunch with family and friends at the foreshore for Emelia it has a big playground for bigger kids so that will keep them amused!
Good to see you kept everyone entertained Jols! We will definately have to share a vino or 5 when you are here in Feb! Do you like Champagne?Nothing better then champagne seafood and sun!!! Now Nelly just hold off til after Feb then you can join in too...Tara are you growing any feathers yet? Christy...anymore chickens hatching in your nest?
Birthdays... can't believe it is here already!!! We are having a small gathering of DH brother and partner, aston's godparents, who are our very good friends and their kids (their eldest is 10 on the same day as aston is 1!), my best friend and her hubbie and their daughter who is 2 in 2weeks. We will probably catch up with some mums and bubs at Noosa River the Monday after his birthday and share a cake.
Aston is in a nappy overnight too - and same as Jake - change him when he is feeling wet... the only time he gets nappy rash is teething poos... and that can be within minutes of him doing it!I swear the poos changes when they teeth...like more acidic...and SMELLY!!!
My day started off crappy... but ended well... for some reason I woke cranky and tired (endo is running rife again...wonder if that has anything to do with it??!!!???) and I snapped and snarled at DH. We were supposed to go out this morning to get stuff for the garden. I have wanted to get a herb garden and vege garden going for WEEKS... and there has something been on each weekend...so I was getting it done this weekend!! I jsut wanted to go to the hardware shop and get the stuff come home and get into it... DH wanted to go to the shopping centre to spend birthday money... the difference between doing both is about 2 hours, and getting morning tea, lunch, change of clothes, nappies etc etc etc for the little man, as opposed to taking a drink, a biccie and a nappy! so I was getting rather peeved off... in the end I went with the three kids and left him behind with a torrent of angry words. (god i can be such a b!tch when I want to be!) Instead of heading to Noosa, I went to Gympie, took Nathan to a shop that he has been breaking his neck to go to. He has wanted to buy with money he has saved the beginning set of Warhammer 40000 game figures . for the last month that is all I have heard about from him, (and it was something that he desperately wanted to do with his father). Also got the herbs and other bits and pieces...and came home to have aston sleep for 2.5hours. DH had decided to go to Noosa by himself and get his birthday present (which was a surround sound system thingy for the PS3 so he was a happy bunny) I got over myself, and sat down with Nat to help him with his figurines and had a lovely time with him. As it started to cool down, WE all went out into the garden - aston in his play pen with one of the kids(they took turns) and I got my herbs potted, and the vege garden begun... so the day ended great. Think the universe smiled on me this afternoon... lol
Hope everyone else is having a good weekend...
x
Herb gardening is so lovely Vicky, being able to nip outside to pick a few bits of basil for your lunch, or oregano for the pasta dish you are about to make, fresh herbs are the best!
Blanchie - hope i didn't offend you about the length of nappy wearing, i think i have seen SO MANY nappy rash threads on parenting forums of late (Help!!! what to do!!! etc), that my antenna to that topic, is a bit finely tuned. Whatever works for you, all power to that.
I have DREAMS of having bilby in a night nappy for 12 hours, but she never sleeps that long! AJP, we got reactions to the JJ commerical wipes too. I actually read a thread last night on this forum, about the ingredients in many of the baby products available in supermarkets, found out what sodium laureth etc is, and boy it is scarey. Made me want to go to bathroom and chuck out the products i had just read about.
Sorry to hear the endo is giving you more grief Vicky.
The 1st birthday shindigs sound good, i was also thinking of a playground afternoon tea type thingo, but her bday is on a Saturday, maybe we'll just hold it one day later (excuse for cake TWO days in a row ha ha, cos i just CAN"T not celebrate on the actual day too). Will seem very strange to have a cake for her when she won't eat cake!
my dh went and pulled up weeds today, our little back yard (mainly dirt that is hard as cement) has been infested with rye grass (which i'm allergic to) in the last six months. I'm usually a mad keen gardener, but have let it go to racknruin since bilbs arrived. Severe water restrictions haven't helped, but normally, i would keep up with the weeds at the very least. (and grow lots of yummy basil!!!).
We need shade so desperately, and i just cannot dig in that concrete hard clay. Took bilby to a mum's group meetup the other day at a playground, where we put the rugs down, it was all dirt and it was a very windy day, normally that area is grassy. we need rain. (normally, our city gets it's rain over winter, or not at all).
morning all!
glad you day improved yseterday vicky! i love my herbs especially corriander, i just pick and eat the stuff, mmmm yummo!! yep a few wines sounds great, escept if im preggers again by then!!
the Inlaws left this morning, i love having them here but it nice to get my house back.
sophie woke at 4.30am this morning!!! farfarfar to early for me, though fed her and back to bed til 6.20am, so im blurry eyed this morning!! she went back to sleep at 9am and is still asleep at 10am which is very unusal for her!
gigi have fun gardening!!
sigh...
Vicky just read your post in the other thread :hugs: kisses and loves to you
HAPPY 39 WEEKS KIM!!!!
