LOL Vicky!! I have no idea about weaning... I haven't even thought about it yet. I keep getting asked about it though. Everytime I go to work someone asks me when I am going to be weaning. I feel like wearing a shirt to work that says "Still working" over the boobs.

I actually started weaning last week as Evie just wasnt interested in feeds at all, but after a couple of days she really picked up how much she wanted and was coming to me "asking" for it which she had stopped doing. so i now i'm just feeding her when she wants it which i dont mind because it's getting really quite warm now and i worry about her getting dehydrated, but i thought that in the next few weeks, when i'm sure she's getting enough water, i'll start stopping....then it'll be time for another baby ;)
well... how's this for something different!!
Just had to call DH to come home so that he could remove that snake that was in the lounge room!
still got the shivers from it! oh the joy of living in the country. have been trying to id it on the net, but can't find it, so don't know what it was.... just didn't want the bloody thing in the house!!!!
Omg Vicky, u are braver than i am LOL i couldnt stay even when i knew it was gone!! im petrified (sp?) of snakes!!
Last year when i was 7 months preg with Chelsea one of our cats bought in a baby snake into the dining room.....omg i was scared...had to get WIRES out to fetch it. By the time they got there it slid inside the door/wall cavity and they had to rip the whole door down!!!!

My SIL was hanging her washing out the other day and bent down to pick up the basket to find a snake curled up next to her. lucky it was dead otherwise that wouldve been it! eastern browns are quite nasty!

ha ha AJP, when i hear a tap, i want to pee too, so good on you Sophie! Bilby used to wee as soon as i;d wiped her bot with a warm flannel (nappy change time) but that has stopped.

I no longer put myself in the same social situation as the person who was pressuring me to FF bilby from five months old (WHy? because that's what SHE did, with her now teenage offspring!!!).
i was reading about babies refusing the bF on the ABA website tonight (well this morning really) and this Nursing Strike is an actual phemomena, doesn't last very long, but it's real.
It RAINED here on Monday, so happy! Bilby got to see and feel rain! she was a bit surprised at what it was. Not warm raindrops (like her shower). So grateful to have some rain. wow.
Our fisher price aquarium cot thing conked out, (within warranty period) so we sent it back and got sent this Rainforest thing instead. ANother plastic box, but instead of rotating fish, there's a monkey, a frog and it plays lullaby style nursery rhymes. DH hooked it to the playpen and bilby stood for ages, right next to it, grinning for all she's worth, shaking her head and hips to the music. so cute i could have just melted. I can see she's testing out lots of skills, all in preparation for walking and standing.
I cooked for the first time since bilby arrived, tonight. i made a white cheese sauce, to put with steamed mashed veg for her to try, as suggested by the speech therapist. With the remainder of the white sauce, i made a simplified tuna mornay for her to try. Hope this is the start of my cooking mojo coming back. I've been rundown for months and eating badly (dh will ONLY cook sausages!!) so i need to change my eating habits. Hopefully by confessing this in cyberspace, i'll actually DO it, not just THINK it and do nothing (like all of this year so far).
i'm SO not motivated to cook for dh and me, cos dh won't eat anything i make, or complains so much it's not worth it, plus he won't eat any green vegetables, any salad, any fish, the list is endless! i used to LOVE cooking, esp. Thai food, but it's boring just cooking for me. But i must change my thinking. I need to eat healthy, to be healthy, for bilby, she is relying on me being well. I ate SO healthily thru pregnancy, it all stopped as soon as bilby arrived. Too exhausted and sore after c-section, then PND, then back to I'm too tired, dh won't eat it anyway. This is all stopping NOW. Ultimatum to self.
off to dream of snakes? i hope not!
ok, off to try and sleep again, yes, i have been up all night. All week i've been getting to bed at 3am, 4am, tonight it's 5.30am, and yes, i can hear chirping birds!!!

DH thought it was very funny - yes it was only littlish...but I don't care, a snake is a snake, and it was in MY house, so it had to go. freaked me out - but then this morning, i put classical music on, and sat out side when aston was asleep and enjoyed the view...and felt peaceful... just sometimes the peace of this place comes with a snake lol... better be the last one!!
Kim - everytime I get a text at the moment i"m sure it is going to be from you. You must SOOOOOO sick of everyone asking hassling, demanding - I hope that M2 is lying in your arms soon hun - then you can get on with the next part of the journey. Sitting in the departure lounge sucks after a while! hugs!!

Having said that... all I could do was lay on the lounge & moan about being overdue & having contractions. Then I would do all the natural induction methods for a few days, and then lay on the lounge & moan again. It was a long 12 days....
Jovie, aka JJ, or Jovie Jovie Jovie Jovita.... is teething like a madwoman. She's very whingy and its grating at times. Today she's actually interested in what Matilda is doing & pestering her which is lovely. We had a lovely 3 way cuddle this morning for ages.... I just sat there soaking it all up.

Madam decided she didnt want her weetbix today and i got so sick of the whinging i chucked it all in the bin and put her on the floor and said too bad. then 20 mins later tried again and she ate. still, guilts for me.
Anywhos...boring day of cleaning for me. need to go and get a splat mat we threw out all our old sheets when we moved
Well i called and they are now seeing me on Friday morning!! Woohoo!!

hi ladies - aston has turned nocturnal again so have had horrid sleep for the last few days. he has a yuk cough - but no other symptoms. Had the temp on the weekend, but that has settled. are going to the doctor today for the other two, so will ask her to listen to his chest. jic...
my endo pain is back -oh joy - so i'm such a happy bunny NOT! Have decided that come monday, I'm having a massage, going out at 9am and getting back at 3pm. Time for daddy and Aston to have a day together - rather then an hour or so!!!!

When you say Aston's dad can have him for the day, do you mean Aston's birthdad (your ex) or stepdad (current partner)?
Maybe Aston is sleeping badly cos his cough makes it hard to breath when lying down. Raise the pillow perhaps? do you have a humidifier thingy?

hi all... i had another flithy night. Aston has croup. thankfully no stridor - but I was paranoid all night that it was going to turn that way. not much sleep in this house last night. and to add insult to injury the smoke alarm went off at 2.30am - the battery had gone flat so poor DH is changing batteries. and we had all just gotten to sleep. joy oh joy.
Gigi - Aston's dad is DH - laura and Nathan's dad is my ex. So daddy and Aston can have the day together on Monday, and I'm off to have a massage, and an appointment with the therapist that I have been seeing and who the kids will also be seeing. She is very good, and for the first time ever I have actually been given a tool that helps deal with trauma and anxiety! its been great - since she showed me what to do I have been doing it and it works!! She is the first counsellor I have seen that has been able to explain the whole process involved with Post Traumatic stress. there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is NOT an oncoming train!!
I hope Kim that the pains where M2 saying ok i'm ready to arrive now. Going to check my phone now!
as soon as aston goes down for a sleep this morning so am i. oh I had so much to do today...guess it will just have to wait!

"No baby yet. they have sent me home to rest. not dilating yet but pain is so much worse then last time.Hopefully baby today. will keep you updated. I'm 1cm but thats cos Ive had a baby before cevix still only half way.Head can be felt. contractions every 4 to 5 mins still."
I'll let you know when I hear anything else.
I think M2 is going to make an appearence finally!!

the whole cycle of life is so in your face sometimes... before I heard from Kim I had a call from a friend, and someone I know - not well - their little baby boy died on the weekend. He was about a month older then Aston. I felt so.... i don't know actually how to put it into words. but I went and kissed and hugged all my children after the phone call. Sometimes the universe has a way of putting life into perspective....

just shows how quickly it can all be gone, when Emelia wakes im going to give her a bigger kiss and cuddle than normal!! i just cant imagine life without her (damn now im tearing up)
whoa.... big cuddles for all our babies now. How awful. Our friends lost their 18 mth old to sids when I was pregnant with Matilda, it really changes you when you think of how precious our babies are.
