have a cold and sophie decided to wake at 4.45 this morning! blah
Okay, have been reading but not posting again. Sorry girls, I've dropped the ball ;)
Steiner schools etc... we are actually looking at moving closer to a Montessori school for Matilda. She's in the kindy and responds so well to it that we are actually thinking we may move closer to either Caboolture or Indooroopilly, they are both an hour drive atm which I wouldn't do for school.
Taralee, I'm so excited for you & your scan  hope it all goes fantastically.
Blanche!!! 30 weeks :o where has that time gone???
Vicky, Nelly, Jols, Ann, Gigi :grouphug:
Been sick again.... I can't even get my blood tests done while I'm sick for the specialist. I emailed him & said I was sick again and he replied that I couldn't get my tests run & how ironic it is that part of what he thinks my condition is a low immune system and that is what is holding back my diagnosis. Yeah... ironic, or freaking painful if you are me.
Apparently with adrenal issues its common to get cramps for females, so all those painful cramps I had a few months ago would be explained.
Jovie...she's been a painful sleeper lately. Just won't go to sleep if anything is going on, like if Matilda is awake. If Matilda is awake, Jovie will fight sleep, but the minute Matilda goes to bed.... Jovie goes to sleep. URgh.
Move closer to Caboolture... for my own purely selfish reasons of couse lol :D
my thought exactly vicky ;)
all my blood tests came back ok so I am just run down and burning that candle at every point possible
Jake managed to push the cat scratching pole to the front screen door (again) was standing on it turning the handle trying to escape (again). Luckily our last incident taught us to key lock the door. He is now climbing the drawer handles in the kitchen to get to the bench, climbing the pantry shelves to get what he wants to eat, climbing climbing climbing aaarrrrghhhhhhh! and I was worried he wasn't climbing!
have been asked to promote to a tupperware manager and I am really keen but at the same time am enjoying it not being a "real" job
gigi I know how it feels to be in a tiny home with nowhere to put anything and constantly living in a state of clutter - then throw a toddler and a heat wave into the mix!
sorry alll have just been lurking DH is off to surgeon next week he has no feeling in his fingertip not sure about the rest of hand it is still in a cast - at least there is no more cricket ;)
vicky is your dumb moment past? how was the zoo crazy woman?!?!
Nelly - that's not good about DH's hand! stupid cricket!
there were moments of fun at the zoo...but lots of moments of "I dont want to be here!!!" from both me and aston!
having an easy day today - have just put the poor little sick man back to bed, and are off to lay down myself...going to take him back to the doctor this afternoon.
I have updated photos on Facebook.... if your interested :)
me too -have finally posted pics from Jols visit
Thanks Kim ;) H0w are the girls. On face book you are saying your loving them more and more. Its hard some day isnt it..?
Gigi - School? Damn I better get moving. I'm not that organised at the moment.
Yeah those few weeks starting CC was so hard. She just screamed like she was being hurt. She would cling onto my leg and just look up with those eyes.
Now she still cries (but not screams) and she gets over in a few minutes after i leave. When i pick her up I just love hiding from view and watch her play. As soon as she sees me she cries so at least i can see her having fun.
Not too upset about not having a bun in the oven. It was our first go. But i'm wondering now i've i'm ovulating properly. My periods only last 3 days. Before they were 5 days long. The ovulation stick says i am.. but i dont know.
Vicky- Aston looks so grown up in that shot! His hair has really changed colour.
Christy - at being sick again. Rest up hun.
Blanche - how did your appointment go?
Jols - Way too early to get up. Is she sleeping better in the day today? Miss Ella is only on ONE sleep today but at least it will be a long one. Hope you get to get to catch some zzzzzs
Tara - How is evie sleeping? She still going to sleep on her own? Ella is able to do it during the day but at night its harder for her. Maybe i'll try a night light. anyone else have a night light?
Ann
Ann - Aston has a night light. has since he was teeny. mainly because I have such bad eyesight. i think it helps him though. give it a try, nothing ventured nothing gained.
Appt well, receptionist rang me this morning to say i would only be seeing the midwife as doc was doing a c/s which i was a bit bummed about but oh well!!
bub measuring at 35wks!! im not worried though not always accurate, my blood pressure is normal which im so pleased about as with Emelia i had PE!!
Tara- cant wait to hear how ur scan went!
Nelly- checked out ya pics, looks like u all had a great time and the kids look great!!

The girls are going great Ann.....Jas still isnt rolling but she will get there in the end in sure. Miss C is becomming a bossy boots....but to old for her own age i think.
Her latest is walking round the house talking on the phone...and when u try to ask her something irnores you or pulls the phone from her ear and gives u a deathly look..LOL
Climbing too...i call her a monkey cos has to climb everything....its fun though.
Have to have a google and share her bath story. She is back to baths now cos sissy has one...so she has to join in. Anyhow...last ngiht jas was in the bath and Chels was still (refused to get out) and she had the face washer....was makign it drippign wet then swinging it round her head like a helicopter blade....mean time Craig is drenched and she was p!ssing her sides laughing at him....then she started on me....she thought it was hilarious....Jas was even giggling at her....so heres the 4 of us in the bathroom drenched and giggling....needless to say Chelsea was very hypo after bath time!!
ETA: Nelly loves the pics....Vicky...your pics are fab! Aston is such a honey :)
Kim - ive updated them!
well the rain stopped and its hot again!
*Wolf whistle* ya belly is looking hot Blanche!!! As is Emelia and her cute 'Whats not to love top'....hey pulling over cups of juice is the latest trick!! Emelia looks soooooooo much like Daddy :D Too cute
off to check your blanche, lovely ones of chels kim!! and you too ann!!!!
nelly if i send you my email addy can you send me the pics from catch up?? im not on facebook!!!
tara how'd the scan go??
sooooo tired with this cold, just made sophie some vegemite rusks/breadsticks! couldnt beleive how easy they are and much cheaper!!!
oh KIM, Chelsea sounds hysterical!!! how cute! important phone calls and helicopter flannels! she is a hoot!!!
Christy, don't worry about "dropping the ball", i'd rather have you lurk and read (if that's what you're up to) than nothing. I mean, your health comes first, and there's only so much one sick puppy (you) can do! You're ill and have two busy little people to look after.
TaraLee - glad you scan went well and other things (like BP results) - reassuring isn't it?
thanks for the rain wishes Blanche! truely i'm so desperate for rain, i'd go naked on the pavement if i thought it would make it rain!
nelly - what happened to your dh's hand? WHAT a way to avoid being a cricket widow ha ha!!! (just kidding hon). Is the loss of sensation limited to his hand? i must hazve missed an important post about this, cos i have no clue.
i am so behind with all your blogs, hope to rectify that soon, so i can see the pics you are all chatting about.
Scan went well, everything's where it's supposed to be. COuldnt see what it is!!!! sooooo annoyed! nevermind!
Oh nooooooooooooooooo Tara....norty bubby....will u try for another scan?
I feel for you...Chelsea done the same thing to me. Glad all is ok though!
oh Tara! Thats great that everything is going well, bummer about the crossed legs. I know with Matilda I was absolutely devestated and in tears about not knowing.
Poobum Tara. We did the cotton string and wooden peg test. If the peg swings side to side its a girl and in circles its a boy. It swung side to side with us !
Christy - poor matilda sounds like she was excited about Jovie arriving.
Ann
Yeah, disappointed but I'll think i'll just wait and see, cant really afford another scan!
will be trying every old wives tale though!
Tara- Bummer about not finding out the sex..but good to hear everything is good and its where its supposed to be !!
blah still feel like crap!!
tara glad the scan went well besides the non cooperation!! did you find out with evie????
The first 18 week scan i had with evie i wanted to find out but couldnt see, but they thought she had cleft palate so when i went back for another scan to make sure her mouth was ok at 19weeks, they could see then.
I'm just buying some blue things anyways but mostly just unisex stuff...you never know, we may have more...probably not...but who knows!
Sorry to hear you're still blech Jols
even in the heatwave, we still went to WOMAD from 11am to 11pm, stayed in the shade at each performance stage, drank heaps of iced water and went in the de-mister tent quite a bit! Bilby had a great time, bopped like crazy to a totally going off john butler trio, and loved the brazilian samba music. She didn't sleep ONCE, made friends with everyone we camped near, charmed them all! Her way of making friends is to gingerly walk up to people with water bottles and try to take them!!! this would make the people laugh and then the silly faces etc, it was on for young and old. One lady shrugged at bilby, and so for the rest of the day, bilby kept shrugging at people and getting laughs for that. a new trick for her. So we managed to keep bilby unburnt and hydrated in 39 degree heat, and used the cloth nappies fine - our first experiment of being away from home for longer than a few hours. If it was "buy your ticket on the day" type thing, we would never have gone, but to get a cheaper price, we booked the tickets ages ago.
The kids zone looked really good too, i didn't think there would be anything for her age group, but we walked thru, and the Amazing Drumming Monkeys were putting on a show (google them to find out what i mean, they have a website). Didn't look thru the amazing rainbow markets, the environmental stalls, the visual arts area, the ethical global village, sustainable living area etc - like i would pre-bilby - but still had a great time. It really was what dh and i needed - we so rarely go out together for fun like that.
apparently, a news crew took footage of us 3 (amongst the other 75,000 people there) in the de-misting tent, cooling off, and it was on a news broadcast, dunno which channel, but we weren't home to see it anyway!
bilby is still not sleeping, so the only difference was, she didn't sleep at WOMAD, adn we still didn't get any sleep, at WOMAD. gotta laff. i secretly hoped all that walking around and bopping would make her very tired!!! but no!
we are making slow progress increasing the amount of foods she will eat, but still no soft pieces, only mashed or pureed. hmmm.
Taralee - i think blue is lovely on either gender, but you could always dye blue, purple, you get lovely shades of lavendar and violet, depending how blue the original item was (and that it's 100% cotton to start with).
YK how some preg. women scrub floors at the end? well i went on a DYE CLOTHES PURPLE frenzy instead!
Kimmy? how are you travelling hon?
Gigi im good thanks babe. Just chilling!
Yesterday we were going to the botanic gardens int he city..but thought it would be to busy...so instead we piled in the car and headed to Phillip Island. Was lovely....UNTIL both girls decided they wanted to go..the minute we arrived :wall:
Still we had a look around The Nobbies and had a bit of a drive around then came home.
Warm day today...Jas in bed, Chelsea being a tornado through the loungeroom making a mess. We have to go to the dr today, 4 month needle for Jasmine. Craig is home...LOOOOVE long weekends!! Woooohooo
LOL Kim its always the way isnt it! We think of great things to do with evie and then she's asleep by the time we get there or she's way over it!
Gigi - sounds like you guys had a fab time! Any news about DH's job yet?
We've booked the moving van and everything for next monday so we're super excited!
just a pottering day here...kinda nice for a change. I've decided i;m doing the baby's room with a 'barnyard' theme so am excited looking for all sorts of bits and bobs!
GIGI sounds like you guys had a lovely day out!! love john butler!!!

Where is everyone? I thought i better post or we'd get bumped to the next page
hmmm....havent really got much else....
Day 10 of heatwave and a week of more 38, 39 degree days to come!
over it, lovey!
public holiday yesterday, so poor innocent racehorses could race in the midday sun! seems so mean i think - hello? heatstroke for horses?
dh hasn't heard yet, we are so excited
TaraLee - where are you moving to?
are you moving back into your old house by any chance?
i feel i've missed something, or maybe you guys have been discussing it on MSN or something (???)
Kim - i thought you meant the girls wanted to go to the LOO when they got to Phillip Island! so hot and bothered, i don't know WHAT i'm reading.
constant sauna, it's 12.30 at night and i still feeling sweat dripping from behind my knees - i hate that! keep going an dhaving 30 sec cold showers just to feel better.
bilby's nappies are so dry, she's sweating it out, instead of peeing it out.
my friend lent me this projector cot toy today, it projects a circle of moving images and lullaby for 5 or 10 mins. we played it for bilby, her in the playpen where she had been screaming AND IT SENT HER TO SLEEP!!!! oh boy, we may have turned the corner!!! Will try this toy in the cot tomorrow night. Please let this be The Thing that gets bilby to sleep from now on, i would pay any price for ANYTHING that worked!!!
tara its been bery quiet in here of late!!!
gig i really hope you can get bilbys sleep sorted and blah to the heat!
busy busy busy... i have had visitors for the last week... god I'll be glad to get my house back to myself. having had people here for the last three weeks has finally done my head in. finding it a little hard to keep smiling at the moment... feeling very old. 18 year olds are something else. lol I swear I wasn't as unorganised as they are....but then again maybe I was, and I just cant remember that far back!!!!
Aston is better now, thank god. but it made for a very long week, with a sick boy,and attempting to entertain.
Hope everyone else is doing ok. bbl when I have the house to myself again!!!! for personals!
woo-hoo Gigi!!! its funny you say that because evie's just become fascinated by her projector again and falls straight to sleep.
Yes we are moving back into our old house, i had posted on here about it but i think it was a while ago and probably mixed in amongst all my other babble ;)
gigi- fingers crossed that DH gets the job. and wouldn't it be lovely if you have found something that works to help bilby go to sleep.
Tara - i bet your getting excited about moving back into your house. How is your bump going? I can't beleive you are half way!
Blanche - surviving the heat hun? not long to go now til your little man is here.
Jols - are you still looking for someone to hand your resignation into? days like that suck!
Christy - any word on your mum?
Ann - how goes the new job? and Ella settling into childcare?
Nelly - how are you feeling? on the improve I hope.
Kim - how are you and the girls going? any decisions made regarding moving back to Sydney?
hope I havent forgotten anyone...
Plans on moving...hmmm...have come to a hault. Craigs mates are moving back from Canberra now next week, so i think he wants to stay now :wall:
The girls are going well...lil Miss C slept from 11-2.15 today, i kept checking to make sure she was ok....must have been tired! Jasmine is having sleep issues through the day but is going well all the same. had her check up yesterday and she is a little long porker!!
Gigi Chelsea loves them projector thingys....she has a star one but the batteries are dead and im to lasy to change them, but she doesnt need it. Sleeps fine as it is!
Vicky glad to here Aston is better, sick kids is not fun at all. Your visitors sound 'fun' and way to energetic. At 18 i was organised...but its how i grew up. Your certainly not old so try not to feel it!
Tara hows things? Im so glad Evie has worked her sleep out now...must be a happy time now for you!
Jols how is Sophie sleeping now?
Ann hope all is well with you and Ella
Christy fingers crossed yoru mum is ok....and hows the job thingy going you got offered?
Blanche you can keep the heat there....been bit warm here last few days.... mr man better be behaving for you!
Is there anyone else? We have a few drop ins now and then....wonder how they are going?
Chelsea keeps walking round the house saying ellllloooooooo.....and oh dear mama. not sure who she is talking to...maybe her fairy friends!
Oh yeh... not impressed Chelsea story...yesterday morning i was driving home after dropping Craig off at work, and we are still having the car seat belt issue with Chelsea. So i tightened it more. Clipped her in so i *thought*. So yeh anyway....driving along and i look in the rear view mirror....to see Chelsea STANDING up in her seat :wall:
Stopped at light and theres a guy next to me pointing and trowing his hands in the air and i assume probably swearing and cursing at me and my 'bad mother not strapping her kid in' antics.
I couldnt turn, so had to drive to the next lights and Chelsea is now climbing out of her seat and over to Jasmines seat. Turned into a car park, where theres a group of guys standing round a hotted up car. Out i get, open Chelseas door, Screaming, yelling, pulling her arms....you name it....the guys go silent and are all staring at me
Anyhow i get her back in the seat and make sure it clicks all ok....and the lil bugger is LAUGHING at me..... man i was sooooo pi$$ed off. get home and im on the fone to Craig 'i was gunna kill your DD today...'.....man was not a good morning.
The end :)
Oh kim...cheeky little monkey! well I'm sure that is not what you were thinking at the time!!! They sure can be bloody challenging...
Aston takes great delight at throwing everything and anything at anyone, or anywhere - so a car at the wall, a ball at someone's head, food... you name it!! so my challenge has been to get him NOT to do it. The other day he was YELLING at me to get my attention - we were at the table, and I was in the kitchen serving dinner, there were 5 other people at the table mind you - but NO he wanted ME! anyway, I did a supernanny tone Excuse Me!!(LOL) and everyone shut up - including aston lol... he looked down at his tray, and quietly mumble something. I crouched down next to him, and said please dont yell at mummy - and he gave me a kiss! Never a dull moment is there!
Omg Kim wat a cheeky little thing!!
Vicky - when do ur visitors leave? yeah the heat is still killing me, its ment to be raining tomorrow so we will see!!
Tara - woo hoo u get to be bak in ur own home.
Emelia is asleep atm so im going to have my shower otherwise ill never get one!!
Well DF and Emelia are both sick with some bug :(
DF came home this arvo from work and said he had been sick most the day throwing up..i thought "great"!! and then a few hours after he had been home Emelia started throwing up so looks like im in for a long night i have to babies cos DF is acting like the biggest baby, Emelia is taking it better than him!! hopefully its just a 24hr thing. and im praying i dont get it.
Vicky - how sweet he gave u a kiss! Emelia is a hitter and i dont know how to stop it when she gets told no or taken down from somewhere when climbing most of the time she will hit us..
yep hear yopu both on the hitting, sophie does it too!!!!
vicky i bet your glad to have your house back to yourself! been able to fart without others caring must be great :p
blanche oh no!:( no good on the sicks bubba(s) men, they think the world is caving in on them when they get sick, women, well we soilder on
sophie has been off her food today, she is cutting two molars a lower lateral incisor and an upper canine, so figure her mouth is sore!
me stil lhave a cold, coughing, pelvic floor muscles have gone again :( going to have to see a specialist physio now :( headachy too, poor me!
