LOL kim, sorry to laugh...what a monkey!!! i think you can buy things to clip over the belts so they cant get out of them...not that they're supposed to in the first place!! lol
we've got a cheeky photo of evie smiling and covered in jam on the shelf and it always catches my eye when she's being a little toad and i just have to remind myself that she can be happy LOL doesnt always work!
-
Yeh Emelia is cutting another molar too so she hasnt been that happy!
i told Leigh hes such a baby and he said to me "ur lucky u dont have it" and i turned around and said "yeah lucky me cos i i know if i did i would still be doing everything and wouldnt be in bed get waitered on!"
hope u feel better soon Jols
-
Blanche you sound like me when i was sick them few weeks back. I was going on how when im sick i still have to do everything, but when ever anyone else is they can rest and recover!
I hope both your babies (but more so Emelia) gets better super fast!!
Im gunna have to look for some clip to keep Chelsea strapped in....tongiht on way home from gettin Craig she got both arms out but was still sitting
No new teeth here...so much for her teethign when she was really sick....still has 13 in her gob!
-
ive seen something too kim,!! little monkey, sophie is in so tight she's got no hope, yet :p:lol:
-
The thing is it is so damn tight she cried when i strap her in....it nearly cuts in to her (but ti doesnt...just so damn tight)..but she has found a way to slip her arms through still....i worry ill get done by the cops
Ill have to hit the shops on the weekend to find something!
-
Yeh for getting your home back Vicky.
Oh Kim, that must have been so scarey to see Chelsea standing up on the back seat - in the middle of traffic when you can't just pull over - without having to deal with other people's tut tutting too! they don't understand all you're dealing with! I can think of the strap that goes ACROSS the bub's chest to narrow the vertical straps, for safety, but dont' know what they're called or where they're sold.
i do a homemade version for our highchair cos bilby squirms out of those 5 point harness vertical straps, i wend the two ends of her bib thru the harness and once i've snapped up the bib, THEN the harness is shortened and pulled up so she can't get out. Doubt you could do that with a car seat harness though.
Taralee - that's wonderful you're moving back into your old place! wow, i'm so curious how you managed to swing it, for ages you came up with plans, they fell thru and then you stopped talking about it, so i thought it was a no deal. You've prolly already explained it elsewhere, wish i knew where! So without knowing any details I"M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!
Kim - are you and Craig committed to moving back to NSW, like sold house/told landlord or is it a "dream" thing to aim for? Moving to where you'll be around supportive family sounds great to me.
SLEEP NEWS - i got FIVE HOURS last night - from 4am to 9am - thank you little ceiling projector thingy!!!! wow!!!
Day 11 of 17 days of heatwave
it will be 38 or 39 everyday until Wednesday next week (when it will be 31)
tomorrow is 40
how do people in far north WA and NT cope? i'm sure they have worse temps but gawd, i am struggling with this. A person died today due to the heat. bushfires are starting too. we're all waiting for power failures.
makes me wonder if we should migrate to another state - somewhere with rain
bilby is also wandering around saying eh wo (Hello).
my flickr page has pics of us at womad if you're interested

ahh funny little people we have
Vicky Jake is the same and this morning to wake me up he threw his super ball at my head teehhee then climbed on the bed and gives me a kiss and cuddles
we have sorted his sleeping issues so days and nights are both good gosh I am so tired though been burning that candle at both ends again - I don't know how you nights owls do the late nights every night.
went shopping yday and decided to let Jake walk as long as he held my hand. Was god for the first 5 seconds then was happy to just walk beside me... then started to run off. So I went to pick him up and carry hm only to have him prostrate himself on the ground and scream. So picked him up ignoring the screaming and crying and he's flailing his arms about and carrying on like a pork chop - now when he wants to get down he straightened his whole body rigid with his arms above his head so you have nothin to hold onto. need to get me a monkey for him....
well we timed our latest ttc attempt to a tee I actually knew when I o'd so now just waiting waiting....
how is everyone else going today?
-
arghhhh.... so over being a woman! finding it incredibly hard to love this body that has given me three beautiful children!
It is nice to have my house back - and fart when ever I feel like it lol. Aston cried when we dropped the girls off yesterday, and went looking for them this morning funny boy.
Nelly - gotta love those tanties! have you looked online for a Monkey? fingers crossed that this is the month for you.
Kim - you have a little houdini on your hands. I'm so glad aston hasn't figured out how to do that- yet!!
Blanche - have you tried picking emelia up and removing her away from you when she hits you? I have done that with Aston - picked him up and planted him somewhere away from where all the action is. and if he throws food or plates when in the highchair, i take everything off him and turn the chair away from us. for a minute at the most, then go and speak to him...telling him that its not ok to do "whatever"... then we have a cuddle. The concept of "I did this, and the consequence was being removed from where all the fun is" is starting to sink in I think. I guess its like mini time out. if that makes sense.
A book that I highly recommend is Boundaries for Kids, written by two pyschologists. Its a christian book - with biblical references through out, which if you find too much you can just skim over, because there is HEAPS of pratical, sound solutions that work!!! I wish I had read it earlier then I did...
Gigi - yay on the projector thing working, and getting some sleep... may it continue!!!
Jols - Sophie's mouth must be so sore. poor darling. bloody teething monster!! How are you doing hun?
Ann - how are you and Ella?
christy - are you lurking darling?
i'm blahhhhhhhhhh today... in pain and over being a woman. going to have to take some strong painkillers soon...which i hate doing when its just me and aston. i figure if I take them now...by the time he has a morning sleep I can lay down too... and hopefully get through the day. blahghghg....
-
Anyone for a spewing, tanty chucking, lets bash mum and baby sis up, back chatting 15 month old??
Yes my darling monkey is in full swing today. After walking into her room this morning and heaving, holding back my own spew i turn on the light to see vomit...EVERYWHERE....all over her sheets, blankets, dolly, carpet, change table and the cot rails. Then she gets up and chucks tantys cos i have to wash her fav dolly and she cant have it, so proceeds to bit and hit me, then i get angry so she takes it out on Jasmine, who then screams like she has never done before. then i *try* to talk with Chels....only for her to say 'Stop it' 'No' 'Go way' arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Kids...why do we have them?? My body is a blob of fat (but hey im on a diet now...first weigh in is Saturday and im packing my dacks about it).
Vicky i feel for you. It sucks being a chick some days hey!
Nelly i hope this is the month for you and there will be a 2nd bubba on the way. When we go to the shops we have a harness (like Astons) only its a dog....and Chelsea wont walk....she crawls with it....lots laugh, i dont . So i let her walk alone and try not to make a big deal if she starts running off vos it makes her worse...and thinks its a game!
Gigi  on some sleep at last!!!!! Did you get my email in regards to the cups? I ask cos i have an awful feeling our support system is playing up, so can you please let me know if u did indeed get it or if Craig needs to check it out. As for moving, our family is all in NSW. The house we live in PIL own, but its in a family trust and should they pass away the house becomes ours. So in theory its our house and we pay the rent/mortgage repayments on it. Ive not heard a thing from Craig about moving back...so im stuck in Vic with no one i guess for a lot longer.
Blanche i used to put Chelsea in her room when she bit/hit etc.....but then she didnt care cos in her room she detroys everything. Unpacks her drawers. pulls all the wipes out....empties the cupboards and pulls clothes off the hangers  i really do have a handful of a child!!
-
nelly, i can just see jake still as a board with you carrying him, they become slippery little things when they do that doen they!!!
lets hope you caught that eggy this month!!!!!!!
vicky, nasty AF pains? its amazing what we women go through and what do me get, mmmmmm nothing, zero, nada, sucks hey, grab some panadiene and a heat pack and head off to bed
gigi yay for the 5 hours sleep!!!! must have felt sooo good!!! its going to be 38 here today and 39 tomorrow, i feel sorry for you having so many days above 35!
kim spewy again , yuk! have you both got gastro????
i have finally realised that if sophie only sleeps for a hour a day its obviously all she needs!! ive been reading that at this age they need 13-14 hours in 24 and she gets most of that at night! last night was 13 hours, we play, have quiet time, snack bottle then bed, i do however leave her in bed for the 90 mins ragardless of how long she actually sleeps for, yesterday after 1 hour, i went to check her, thinking she was still asleep, wide awake but she just lied there for another 30 mins, so she;s learning!!!
-
might be heading to perth first week of april have been asked to attend tupperware manager conference - who's free on the Thursday 10th
-
No gastro Jols....must have just been an upset tummy.
Not in WA Nelly, think Blanche is the only one over there?
Hmm have been cooking tea....chicken casserole with tomatoes, garlic, celery, carrot, broccoli, onion and dash of salt and pepper.....
Damn diet and rabbit food
ETA: Gigi Bilby is adorable in your pics.
-
mmm sounds nice kim!!! do you have a slow cooker???? best things invented, well almost!!!
nelly ooohhh perth hey!! sure blanche would love to meet you!!
-
Nope dun have a slow cooker....into the oven it will go. Sounds nice, smells nice, hope it tastes nice too. Im on the TF diet...and you dont get alot of choice food wise...so have to be creative...something im not to good at in the kitchen!
Other night i made chicken burritos....without the burrito bit...but had to be replaced with....lettuce leafs
Chelsea enjoyed it, and she is the fussiest eater around!
-
seriously get yourself a slow cooker!!!!!!!! you wont regret it, both recipes sound nice!!!!
-
Nelly - im the only one over here!! would be lovely to meet up..do you talk to any other ladies from over here maybe we could make a meetup thing!
Kim - goodluck with the diet the TF one is hard though cos not much variety but some of the soups and shakes are nice. ill be straight back to WW after bub is born.
Jols - lol how cute Sophie was layinhg there quietly!! Emelia is on one sleep a day still she sleeps 2 - 3 hours and i hope that doesnt change anytime soon cos i love that time to me!!!
-
still hoping she'll sleep longer, but hey the trade off is she goes to bed currently at 6.30pm, so cant really complain!!
DH and i sat down tonight and watched some video of sophie from birth to 6 months, boy they change quickly!! sad too though.
theres footage of me and sophie an hour after the birth and im still so groggy!! flopped my tit out!! haha cant even remember!! then at 12 weeks sucking her thumb, her arms were too chubby and she had to fold it in with her other hand!!
ohohoh have to add VICKY feeling a lot better thanks hun!!!had a few bad weeks but seem to have come through the worst i hope
-
i'm amazed the bellybelly software allowed you to say TIT ajp! i put "tom **** and harry" in a post the other day, and **** was asterisked out!
Thanks for the congrats on the five hours sleep in two days ago - it does feel like a break through for us! that day she had 8hours in total - amazing for her.
Kim - no hon, i didn't get your email about the cups, jusdt thought you were busy. You poor thing with Chelsea being ill and so stroppy ATM, you poor darling. lots of counting to ten hey? that sounds SO challenging!
Vicky - i assume your endo is acting up hon? God it's never ending that damm endo, i actually hoped that women with endo would at least get relief after having kids - obviously not in your case, grrrr. So cute that Aston is expecting your visitors to still be there in the morning.
i want to go buy Haigh's easter bilbies (cos part profits go to bilby conservation) but it's so damm hot, i figure they would melt in the car driving home! this heatwave even makes CHOC unappealing! (can't believe a chocoholic like me could say such a thing!!!).
i dread to look in my makeup drawer next time i get dressed up, all the lipsticks will be melted and in funny shapes i bet. no point WEARING makeup right now, it just melts right off.
that's great, that you might have a chance to catch up with Blanche, NElly aka Tupperware Queen! Perth is lovely.
Christy - thinking of you, i wonder if you have gone to visit your mum already?
with the help of a supportive OT, who amused bilby while i phoned, i rang a child care place today, that DOES do ocassional care. I also rang Centrelinkn to find out about the CCB. wish i'd done this ages ago. Was finding the whole "visiting and choosing over 6 FDC providers thing" too daunting, so the OT recommeded a nearby CC centre instead, that she had taken her kids to, she also had no fmaily support, she's so understanding. Didn't crack up cos i hadn't rung ONE of the FDC numbers she left me with on her visit last week, she understands how overwhelmed we are. what a lovely person. She wants me to put bilby in two days a week - one day for me to rest, one day for me to get things done. Not sure i can do a whole day (without feeding) but anyway, something has got to change.
dh and i argued for four hours solid last night - about the upcoming SD visit - argh.
he was feeding bilby BOILING HOT scrambled eggs like night!!! i had to take it away, he would not see or admit that it was dangerous., bilby was screaming, letting us know it was too hot. i touched it with my finger, it was too hot for me to eat. in a small china bowl, so being ketp very hot. i put it in the fridge for 15 mins before it was cool enough for bilby to eat. of course by that time, she was too upset to eat it. i cannot believe he could do something so dangerous - and then when it was pointed out - heck we all do dumb stuff when overtired - he stubbornly stuck to his guns, wouldn't back down, adn wanted to keep feeding her with it! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
every three months, i know the SD visit is coming, we start fighting over space, unit is too small etc, i just want to run and i know i can't. got nowhere to go, no money to go stay in a caravan park, plus so many things i need fo rbilby are here.
we havne't heard back about the job interview - getting worried now - maybe that's why dh is so ****ty
-
OMG as i suspected Gigi our support system is playing up :wall:
I have resent my reply via my own personal email address. Im so sorry, i did reply as soon as i got it though!!!

i painted today with some friends. first time in ages. was good to get messy. And aston starts a day of daycare on Monday 31st. I want to have an exhibition sometime this year, so want to get busy painting and getting a good collection together that I'm happy with. bit exciting. :D bit nerve wracking...but more exciting. love it when you take a leap of faith...a bit like flying.

-

-
Yeah Chelsea will always be my baby too.....its so hard for me to accept she is growing into a little lady.....and then i look at Jasmine and cherish every minute i have of her while she is a baby!
-
watching videos of sophie last night was hard, man she's grown so quickly and knowing our next is our last is scary, not sure yet how i will cope!
are you going to have another one kim?
-
Im the same with photos....they change so much and i get teary looking at them. For Chelsea's 1st birthday i say here a few days before and looked at every pic from birth til then and was amazed. Also my montage for her....makes me cry every single time.
After much discussions there def will be a 3rd on the cards. If its a boy then may call it a done deal....or maybe there will be #4....TTC #3 around July this year....but depending how the weight loss is going too. Will come off OCP start of May so by then cycles should be ok.....was 31 days now down to 27 days so its pretty much on track!!
Weigh in day tmrw!!!! Im worried..but i hope to have lost something....not starving myself of yummy food for nothing!!!!

Im a good girl producer :P
-
-
kim and jols, you two are little chatterboxes!
god I would like to be beamed up right about now. Aston starts a day of daycare on the 31st of March, which I informed DH about this morning. While I wasn't ready to put him into fulltime care this year, I had decided that I would take one day, and use it to work on my paintings, or anything else that presented itself (like a home based business or something) DH's response was "I thought you weren't putting him into day care yet? I'll stay home with him..." (I had told him that I was still going to get a day!) "what are you planning to do while he is at daycare?" "I want to work on my paintings, and try and sell some" DH rolls his eyes. Thanks for the support hun!!!!!! bloody men!
-
Just dropping in to say hi.
We have a sick girl on our hands. She has Chicken Pox!
2months before we get to vaccinate her. damn it
We've all had it but she's suffering. She's absolutely miserable. Not eating which is not like her at all. She bursts into painful tears at the drop of a hat.
Her poor bottom is all spotty
Ann :(
-
good support system there Vicky! lol oh men! can't live with 'em....no...i dont feel like finishing that saying lmao
Jols and Kim...perhaps a little too much bubbly for you both?! good for a giggle!
well, on the house front :( the tenants were meant to be out and the keys returned to us this afternoon but the real estate agent has gone AWOL so no keys for us!!!! i am soooo ****ed off. we have the truck booked and deliveries being made on monday! what the hell am i going to do! i went to our house today and it's empty with a few cleaning bits and pieces here and there so i'm hoping to run over there tonight and stick a note to the door asking them to call me tomorrow so i can go and get the keys...i dont know who they'll give them to otherwise, since no-one can contact the agent. *sigh* breathe in, breathe out
-
oh no ann!!!not the pox!!!!! poor ella, is she feeling better??????? does this mean you dont have the injection now?
tara how did you go with the keys?? did you get them!????

-
Ann - what are you using for Ella? Laura got the chicken pox for her first birthday - I used QV bath oil and pinetarsol (spelling) and that helped. She was completely covered in them - on her eyelids everywhere. was not nice. Hope she is feeling better soon hun.
Tara - did you get the keys? hope so.
feeling rather antsy... in the last few months DH had started smoking again... and I too was partaking in the occasional smoke! Well today is the day that we have both bitten the bullet and stopped - dh has been wearing patches for a week, and only having two or three cigs at the most. I have only been smoking a couple a day anyway...but haven't had any today, and right about now are feeling rather :wall:
wish i had never bloody started again!!!!
