night went from bad to worse... i was still wide awake at 2.30, aston woke with a raging 39.4 temp, so i took him into our room, undressed him, dosed him, sponge bathed him, finally about an hour later the temp started going down. managed to get him to sleep. still has a temp this morning... I feel like something from the walking dead.
kim - worms can cause irritability, and sleeplessness. even if you have animals and they wormed regularly, kids will still pick them up from school, FDC or CC. so I just regularly worm my kids - about once a term.
Christy - you asked something about worms... can't remeber now... but did you vacuum the girls room, change the linen towels etc the day after worming? apparently eggs are so tiny they can be airbourne... i tend to strip the beds the day after i have given the kids worming medicine.
hi everyone else - i'm sorry for the lack of personals.. i'm kind of in a fog at the moment...
-
christy - or should i call you little miss somersault.... any idea why this one was chosen for you?
-
hows aston vicky???
jsut went to the pools witha friend and her little girl, different one to were we have lessons, was fantasitcf, they have two kids pools, one is 90cm deep the other is 15!! they had a ball crawling around on there hands and knees. thye looked like little crabs!!
-
Ok well i dont think its worms Chelsea has then! Nothing that anyone has told me sounds like my suspicions!
Poor Aston...hope he is better soon.
I have 2 teething terrors right now...Jas has 2 bottoms coming up at once! Chelsea has once kind coming through...i dunno names of teeth! She is also not eating anything.....had 150ml of milk all day and a few grapes :(
-
canines kim?? otherrwise called eyeteeth?? she'll get the 4 upper and lower fronts ones, her first set of molars then usually the canines, around 2 she;ll get the second set of molars, thats it til they start to fall out around 6 and the 6yr old molars also come throughm they are adult molars, hiope that makes sence!
-
Down the bottom she has the 4 front teeth a space (where the tooth is coming through now) and then a big tooth.
LOL gosh im useless...i was looking at the rusks box then and its the number 6 tooth thats coming through....stupid things dont have names on them!
Oh yeh...i found a picture on the net then.. and the #6 tooth is called a canine!
Your explanation made perfect sense...thanks!
-
yep there canines!!! there usually last ones before the 2yr old ones and the most painful to cut!! dotn worry were cutting the top two, have been for about 10 days now!!
-
So until there 2...theres no more teeth to come through after the canines?
-
if she's got all her first molars (4) and canines, upper and lower, then around 2, give or take a few months, the second set of molars will come trhough, she'll eventually have 20 baby teeth all up
-
aston is getting an upper canine/eye tooth, and the bottom molars. he had a massive sleep today - which is not surprising after the night we had. he is ok... not quite himself, ok until the medicine wears off. not sure what is going on with him - not sure if its teeth, fighting a virus, combo of the both or what. sometimes I wish he could say "mum i hurt .... wherever..."
-
Man thats alot of chompers in a little mouth!!!
Jasmine AND Chelsea have both been in bed AND asleep since 1.30!!!!
-
gotta hate the teeth!! Emelia isnt teething atm but im sure it wont be too far away, she has 9 teeth now gosh so many more to go :(

-

Emelia's got big fat feet like her daddy!!
-
sophie has tiny feet as well, only size 4 and just!!!
we've had sophie on the potty prior to a bath for around 8 months! sometimes she wee's others not!
-
bilby is in size 4 shoes i think, soft soled leather shoes. we have Baby Paws (purple lady jane style) and rainbow striped Baby Bambino ones. I was told by a physio that bones in a babies foot don't form until they're two, up til then, it's all cartilege, and that thin leather soles help them with walking development (for balance) so that's what made me get this type. I'm not a fan of the BoBux ones though, not so well finished (raw edges).
i actually get a headache, walking thru the kids shoe section in big w, kmart etc, all the fumes from the shoes. So i'm happy to avoid that department until she's two. (but i get bad headaches walking thru a perfume department in myers, my sinuses go mental).
AJP and Vicky - can you explain to me how you add the flour, in your recipes?
is it added to the entire dish of vegies?
mixed in with water to a paste?
whisked in with the eggs?
i need a bit more info (method) please.
Do you put all the vegies mentioned in a pirex casserole dish?
Does the dish get covered with alfoil, or left open in the oven to cook?
How hot for a nonfanforced oven? degrees of temp?
thanks
bilby slept three hours before midnight (being walked around the block) than awake from 11.30 til 4am (i think) then awake again at 6am.
i am so scared, she wears us down, into letting her onto the bed, then i'm terrified what happens when we fall asleep (thru exhaustion) and she climbs over us, and falls down - hasn't happened yet, but it's SO possible. The cot - just the idea of the cot - gets nonstop screaming.
-
aw crap, just lost my post!
basdically, in a nutshell
AJP and Vicky
what do i do with the flour? how do i add it? and to what? the vegies or the liquid (milk, eggs?) do you make it like a paste - like when you add cornflour to a meal??
Blanchie - i reckon EMelia will be a good TT candidate too.
had stuff to say about Elimination COmmunication that some people do
bilby is in size 4 shoes too, leather soled shoes to help her walk and allow for the cartilege to do it's thing, before the bone forms in the foot (around 2 years old). we got Baby Paws and Bambino leather soled hand made shoes. so cute
-
gigi add all the ingrediant (vegies, cheese, flour etc..) into a bowl and give it a quick stir, then add the egg mixture (add a litte milk to the lightly beaten egg), then mix egg in to the vegie mix, i use a pirex square dish, not cover, just as is, on around 180 degress for around 40 mins, or until set!
hope that helps GIGI!!
will see if i can find yiou some recipes!!

heres a recipe from taste.com.au
2 zucchini, coarsely grated
1 onion, finely chopped
100g thinly sliced leg ham, chopped
1 cup (150g) self-raising flour
6 eggs, beaten
Salt & freshly ground pepper
1 cup (80g) grated cheddar
Mixed salad leaves, to serve
Method
Preheat oven to 180?C. Grease a 2 litre square or rectangular ovenproof dish. Place the zucchini, onion, ham, flour and eggs in a mixing bowl. Mix until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
Pour the mixture into the dish. Sprinkle the cheese over the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes until slice is light golden and set. Cut into slices and serve hot or cold with mixed salad leaves on the side.
Roast vegetable frittata
4 eggs
1 cup roasted vegetables (such as pumpkin, potato, parsnip, beetroot, capsicum), cut into 2cm chunks
2 tbs grated parmesan
1/4 cup shredded basil leaves
Green salad, to serve
Method
Preheat the grill to high. Place eggs in a bowl and whisk lightly, then season with salt and pepper. Place vegetables into a 20cm non-stick frypan with heatproof handle and warm over medium heat for 1-2 minutes.
Add the eggs and reduce heat to low, cover and cook until eggs have almost set. Sprinkle over the parmesan and shredded basil, then place the frypan under the grill for 3-4 minutes or until golden and puffed.
Slice into wedges and serve with a green salad

Hi ladies.
Teeth yeah its such a pain. Ella's almost got all of hers. she's got her bottom canines coming up and have cut through. She has 16 teeth! I dont get to see the top ones very often as they are short - dunno why.
We are in size 2 shoes! sometimes a small size 3. Maybe that's why she's not walking. She was standing on her own today grinning at me for 5 seconds. so funny.
Ann
-
thanks for explaining the flour AJP - i had visions of big lumps you see. I've printed out those two recipes to try (fingers crossed).
Ann - bilby has five or six teeth, 16 sounds AMAZING!!!
all our bubs are so different!
so Ella might not be walking quite yet, but in talking and teeth, boy is she ahead!
Still feel like resigning Vicky? add me to the list babe!
How are you today Kim?
Love your new belly avatar Blanche. How wonderfully cute to have a belly avatar on belly belly! You are the poster girl for beautiful bellies!
-
hmmmm... ask me that question (about resigning) later today!
i drove the car yesterday first to the doctor, and then in the afternoon with all the kids in the car, and did ok. I had to drive home past where I had the car accident - but on the way home, there was a little staffy in the middle of the road, that would NOT move. I opened the door to get out to move her off the road, and as bold as you like she jumped in the car! I asked a few people if they knew where she lived, but no one did. she sat on my knee like a little princess, was a friendly and very lovely - would have kept her in a heart beat if we didnt already have a dog. well you proved a great distraction, because as I drove home I didnt tense up when I drove past the accident site, and was very relaxed... so I've decided that she was a little angel in disguise :) I hope that someone claims her, she is gorgeous. It makes me so mad when people don't register their dogs, or put collars on them and ID!
aston still not 100% - better then he was yesterday, and he slept better last night, but still has a temp. I have no where to be today until 3.00, so it will be an easy one here for us.
-
Chelsea also has 16 teeth with bottom canines cutting atm!
Wow Ann Ella does ahve tiny feet, Jasmine is a size 2 already....daddies feet i say!
Easy one for us today too.....we just got our monthly sum of money from the sale of Craigs old work so its bill paying time and money spending on new stock for the store....and maybe a few more little MCN purchases for me :P
While the hunt was on i got 9 new ones and i have a nice stash of vibrant coloured nappies now.
Vicky well done being able to drive past the accident spot....that puppy sounds like she is your angel all right!
-
well done on the drive by vicky, must have been hard for you  glad aston is on the mend!
very very windy here today power gone out once already and the worst is yet to come!!!
-
Well done Vicky!! I reckon she is an angel in disguise :)
Well... Jovie's been off a bit lately & I was pretty sure it was that her eye teeth are coming through. One came through and the second one is on its way. Now its on its way and she's had runny poos over the past 5 days. Well only 1-2 a day.... anyway... I changed her nappy after a wee and she smelled, so I had a look & there was pus in her vagina!! So I took her to the GP who said she had a bacterial infection because she must have sat in the poo one day and it wasn't wiped clean enough. So another round of mummy guilt.
Anyway... DH is going away for 2 nights and I'm glad I have a friend coming to stay with me so I'm not alone.
-
Poor Jovie! Oh Christy - dont be silly! it's not like you left her in poo bits on purpose! evie hates when i try and wipe her tiny giny and i feel wrong for poking around down there lol
Good recipes Jols, cheers, or if i were from NZ i'd say 'chiz'
lmao
oh yes, not a lot of sleep here last night. evie's got a yucky nose this morning so that explains that. we went to my mil's the other day and she was looking after our nephew and it didnt occur to me as to why she was looking after him - duh! he's sick..with croup. so if evie ends up like that i am going to be so ****ed....i am already actually! oh well, cant do much now.
looks like we're going to sell our beloved house - started looking at houses yesterday. found one we loved just down the road but the owners smoke inside so we would have to do so much work before we could move in :( plus they need to be out in 2 weeks and i dont know if we'd be ready to be on the market by then. an agent came and looked at our house yesterday and told us to put it on for more than we expected so we'll see what happens
-
BTW hope your test results give you some answers today Christy - I'll be thinking of you :)
-
oohh yes goodluck today christy!!
tara why selling the house???? chiz to you too!!!!
hopefully miss evie wont get sick , just the runny nose!
-
Oh the never ending saga of our living arrangements!! lol, we're going to sell so we can downsize our mortgage so i wont have to go back to work when baby comes along.
-
goodluck Christy
Bugger Evie being sick Tara.....you just moved house..now ur selling :(
I hope you can sort it out soon and then it will be one less stress for you to deal with!
-
completely understandable tara!! we do all we can for me to remain able to stay at home!! id do the same thing!
-
bummer Tara that u might have to move again but i guess if its going to help u then its worth it!
hope u get some rest too.
my tiredness has come back i sleep all night and have to have a nap when Emelia does!!
vicky- glad the puppy helped with the drive...anyone come forward to get her?
hope the tests bring some answers christy.
-
great idea Taralee - if only you could wiggle you nose, and the hassle of repacking, selling, and buying be all done in a flash... makes perfect sense to me though.
blanche- that belly is so beautiful... I'm envious. i'm not pregnant, and I have been having a sleep when aston has been - but that could have somehting to do with him being unwell...
Ann - how's the new job going
Christy - hun - put away the whip hun. life too short to be wandering around in guilt. Jovie will be better in no time. When laura was a little baby her vagina started to fuse together, and I had to use a cotton bud and some vaseline every change to "pull" it apart. I HATED it, and felt like it was my fault.... you can just imagine how fun doing that was for ME...
Kim - i noticed your "addition" to your sig.... going for number 3?
Gigi - how did you go with the recipes?
Nelly - your tupperware queen you... lol
if i missed anyone sorry - my head isnt working very well at the moment...
aston is better finally. i'm babysitting a little boy who turns one next week. the two of them are so funny to watch... chattering away to each other in their language, passing things to each other, aston getting a wee bit jealous if i pick callum up lol. Aston has become shoe obsessed... i think i put on different shoes at least half dozen times a day. and if he hasnt got his on, he is clomping around in someone elses...
-
good point Vicky - yes Kim dont think that TTC sign went unnoticed ;)
Looked at a great house today - in our price range with no-one in it! so we'll see. looked at another one, in a notoriously ewwy suburb for $380k and it was covered in cat **** and it was just squalor...i couldnt believe it!! i said if they paid me i'd take it but i wouldnt pay them a dime! holy hell it was just criminal!
Vicky do you have a special wiggly nose? cos i swear, if i have to pack again LOL oh well...
-
Tara - we would do the same. We took a place a bit further out from the city so i only needed to work part-time. Good luck sifting through the trash and hope you find an affordable gem
Vicky - It was such a guardian angel. You are very lucky. :) Work is busy. More responsiblity and tasks. I had a mini melt-down today. EVERYONE wanted something now. I said "ok you do this for me and i can do that thing you want me to do." they backed down.
BLanche -sleep as much as you can babe. You deserve it and you're almost at the finish line.
Jols - how are you going? and your little sophia? Ella even with her little feet, loves to cruise. She stands on her own for about 5seconds which she thinks is super-dooper.
Kim - how long have you been TTC?
Nelly - are you around? have you had any news yet? you preggers? (we arent :( )
-
hi Ann!! tell them all to bugger off for 5 minutes!! perhaps get one to get you a coffee in exchange for what they want done!!
yay on the cruising, she'll be running marathons before you know it.
sophies great, she's grown up so much in the past few weeks, trying to say more, repeating not necessarily clear but shes trying, she's also started do heaps on her tummy! wierd but she'll just plunk herslef down anywhere! kitchen, hallways whereever to read or talk,!!
-
i already have one making my coffee! ;) its the others that have been a pain.
Ella would be happy to bable to herself or repeat me when i read to her. So cute. ;)
-
VIcky, i printed out yours and AJP's recipes and had a go last night. I made one with the flour (which i was nervous about, expecting lumps) and one without flour. THey both turned out edible (which surprises me, cos i havne't cooked for soooo long!). So i cut them up into square and gladwrapped then froze them, ready for bilby's meals. ANd mine, when i end up eating it cos she won't! So thank you very much!
Have fun practising Kimmy!
Ella sounds so cute Ann. Your paid work sounds hectic.
Bummer about ANOTHER move Taralee! moving is the worst thing i reckon, so stressful, i have stress migraines when i move house, excruciating - so much to organise and the TIMING of it all!
we have 12 days until SD arrives - dreading it bigtime.
Christy - i find getting all the runny poo out of every single little crevice is very tricky, often i use a wet flannel for most of the clean up, but a thin baby wipe for the top bit (the labia), (bilby giggles, so that must be ticklish for her), i feel awkward doing it, but has to be done - especially as her business is still so runny most of the time. It's hard to remember EVERY single thing you MEAN to do as a parent, 24/7, plus you have two bubs to run after and you're not feeling well yourself. We all have the best of intentions - hard to be SUperMum all the time! So don't beat yourself up about it hon, if the GP scolded you, they musn't be a parent, otherwise they'd know there is no such thing as a perfect parent - we're all just doing our best.
Have you heard your test results back yet? fingers crossed for you.
Have you found out where your guardian angel belongs Vicky? Did anyone report him/her missing yet?
Off to our 2nd day of childcare tomorrow, hoping i will be able to sleep for part of it, hopefully not so anxious this time!! And getting a present ready for a 2yo birthday girl on Saturday.
-
hey hey girls am reading not posting - a bit crazy here atm. Have just finished my first official week as a TUpperware manager and have been busy busy but loving it - is good to be using those parts ofm y brain again. Gigi when Jake was refusing all else zuchinni slice was a great fall back! Good luck with the childcare.
Kim how exciting ttc number 3 you are a brave woman
Jols / Ann our latest attempt was unsuccessful so we are just dtd whenver we want now and not bothering with trying to time with ovulation. If it happens it happens. Had a heap of blood test run and everything is normal so I guess the universe isn't ready for another Jake ;)
Blanche you are looking beautiful enjoy as much rest as you can get
Tara moving again!!!! good luck I know how stressful it ccan be with one let alone with a belly too!
Vicky it was an angel - is she still with you? Chrsity hugs to you!!!!!
Sorry if I have forgtten anyone!
Jake has just walked in with his weetbix bowl and spoon to tell me he has finished his breakfast - he now sits st his own little table and chairs to eat. Too cute!
-
Arvo ladies!!
How did it all go yesterday Christy? Hows Jovie going now? Jasmine always gets bits of poo stuck in the tiny crevices too....but for her own health i makde sure i get it all out....feel kinda *dirty* doing it...but for her own good.
Nelly slow down hun...your a busy chicky! How cute that Jake brings his bowl to you...Chelsea dont even eat breaky.....I want to get her a table and chair set...she loves sitting at the FDC ones.
Gigi..well done on the cooking babe....im nto a fan of cookign but i do it every night...maybe once a week we get take out.
Vicky how you going now hun?
Ann soz bout ur mini break down...working is tough some days.....not that i work..but i know how hard it is dealign with 2 kids plus the business stuff at the same time.
Jols Chelsea is like a cat....plops down on her tooshie in the most inconvenient spots too....and she has started saying 'OK' to everything!!
Hello Blanche and Tara...hope ur well!
