OK ladies....you are the first to know of this...before i tell, a few words
THANK YOU ALL SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH..and im so sorry to have scared you all!
My scan yesterday was horrid....they sonographer was a b**ch and rude. Wasnt showing the heart beat...i said yes...so 3 seconds and was gone..146 BPM.....then she said wow baby is long....then in next breathe told me baby is very small???
Then they doen a few things....measured head...then tell me that they cant see the brain....but could see a fluid cavity.....right ok!
Then they cant see the lips or nose....more worry.
As for gender 'nope cant see'...so i said can u try harder....'nope cant see'.....come back in 2 weeks.
I walk out in tears and book in for scan 2nd Sept..2 whole long waiting weeks.
Get home..phone goes off....then back on to ask Blanche to post for me...Thanks hun!
Around 2pm i see all the BB posts flooding in..and i read every single one with tears streaming down my face.
Anyhow Craig rang around u/s places..no luck getting in without a referral. Except one place....Early Image in Vic.....so we emailed them.
Today while i was at the dr..getting a new referral....the people call...i walk in...ask Craig had they called..(was waiting on an appt time and day)....and he said no...check email if they have replied...on my desk was a letter from the girls....'Our Mummy' and a note Craig had written from then explaing they made me a scan for tonight at 645!!!
OMG i was estatic.....
Get there and they do the scan...check millions of times...then the big news i was waiting for..and can now happily share with all:
Chelsea and Jasmine have been blessed and are getting a baby:
SISTER!!!!!!!!

Kim I said before and I'll say it here, I'm so relieved for you
-
Excellent Kim, so so relieved for you...
Truth be told everybody..
I found out that we were having a boy. i know i said they couldnt tell, but i so desperately wanted a girl that i was absolutely devastated when i found out it was a boy. i couldnt tell anybody for days and eventually decided that maybe if i told family it would help me "deal" with it. And it did, and i wouldnt change it.
As you may recall, I had so many scares with chino early on that i should have just been grateful that he was ok, and the guilt that i have felt ever since just eats me up.
so kim, i know you were so set on having a boy, but i am so happy that you're happy and that everything is well with your special little bump
-
Hugs Tara....dont let guilt eat you up.....i carry so much guilt for not 'wanting' Jasmine cos she was a girl....and not being able to hold her or bond to this day hurts me sooo bad. So i prepared myself this time....i went in knowing it was a girl..i just knew....and i came out bouncing off walls.
Unfortunately Craig is taking it hard....had a few teary moments...but we have talked heaps and he is coming around to the idea...he has got his son...but a nother princess to adore!
I think thats why i said from day 1...i will be telling...i cant bottle it up again....so i feel soooo much better for telling you all....and im loving my girls...all 3 of them!
My bump (well flubber hang over) is doing well....no longer fits into jeans and im only 20 weeks today!! EEEK!!!
-
oh Kim you are so much more healthy that I was after hearing Jovie was a girl. Not to turn our thread into a gender disappointment thread, but I was in a bad place for 24 hours. BUT I went in thinking "baby is a girl" as well, to try & protect myself ykwim? I do think it worked because it was much less than I had with Matilda....
Anywho... still recovering. Still coughing... Jovie's the healthiest of the lot of us. I'm dreading looking after both girls tomorrow without DH's help and still feeling sick.

 kim and tara and i'll probably need then too come feb!! i never thought i'd be really wanting one sex, i always thought id want one of each and unfortunatly so do most the population, everyone assumes that!!
tara i found out the heatburn stuff, i know a little late but you'll be pleased to know the reason i couldnt find it was cos the DONT MAKE it any more!! mani nearly slapped the chemist!!
chrsity were on the mend too, well sophie! the AB;s are really working!!

What are you hoping for Jols?
Im feeling really great this time....much better prep beforehand and excitement of being able to tell!!
Hope your better soon V :)
-
hi miss V.!!!
kim really hoping for a girl, but really think it s a boy, which im totatlly fine with!! just really want another girl!! and know i will be fine if we have a boy!
-
Isnt it funny that some get what they really want...but others are blessed with the opposite....i wouldnt trade my gals now though!!
Plenty of time for another handful of kids....im only young!
-
bullsh*t Kim ...20 weeks?!?!?!?! you're kidding!!! i keep thinking you're only like, 8. and when you said you went for the scan and they couldnt see the sex i was like 'hmm fair enough, it's still too early' lmao!!!
yes i dont like that people say 'oh youre so lucky! one of each! thats perfect' and while i agree now, i dont see anything wrong with having 2 girls!!
anyways, evie's got some antibiotics for conjunctivitis, and she's started getting the change mat down and taking her nappy off when she feels like it :( pants wont keep that nappy on...she takes them off too!
hang in there vicky! ;)
-
LOL Tara...i have a thread on here about Chelsea doing the exact same thing...taking her nappy and pants off!
Yep im 20w1d today.....going slow for me however.
It would be nice to say yay 1 of each....but saying 3 girls will be funny....at least i wont get 'Oh are the triplets'...i still get 'oh are they twins'...always will cos they are the same size :P
-
wow, i think it took me reading FIVE pages to catch up LOL!
TARALEE - thanks for sharing your birth story. Bilbs had an apgar score of 2 so we had a scary early bit too. SOrry to hear about your cat.
VICKY - one of those days heh?
AJP - how exciting, first antenatal visit.
KIM - what a biatch your first sonographer was, how lovely of your man to book you a 2nd one. you've got a keeper there hon.
ANN - so glad to hear your meds are working and the twins are going well too.
CHRISTY - hope you all manage to shake the nasty chest infections.
BLANCHE - my AF returned when bilbs was four months old, too soon i reckon, i thought the reward for going thru labour, was a "holiday" from periods for at least a year, not a few months LOL.
bilbs has a dry hacking cough that is worst at night - i know what to do for a wet cough, but no idea what to do for a dry cough. I asked at childcare today, and was told there is nothing you are allowed to give a child for a dry cough, until they are two years old.
Copped TWO separate "anti=breastfeeding comments today. The people didn't even regard what they said as offensive, they really couldn't understand why anyone would BF a 21 month old toddler. One was a psychologist, one was another participant in my PND therapy group. I can't help it, i know i shouldn't but comments like that really upset me.
It's yet another time, something we as a family decided on for our child, work hard to make it happen, adn a decision we are very happy about, can see the benefits, but negative comments from strangers, acquaintances, medical people - can send my confidence spinning down.
Today, I couldn't even trot out my stock reply "The World Health Organisation suggests at least until two years old". Blimey, if i'm lucky enough to still be able to physically do it, bilby can and wants to suck, why shouldn't we do it? Her face lights up, when i make the signal and offer BM to her. At least i know i get a YES vote for continuing, with her.
end of rant

I say pooh to them Gigi and YAY to you...you do what Bilby and yourself feel comfortable with!
