Well done Chels on the big bed :) Great work Kim
Blanche  mate PND is hard. I know with Matilda, I went to the GP ad sat down... and started crying. Zoloft worked very well for me.
YAY for your scan nelly!
Welcome Nicola :)
Jols - I love your belly :)
Me: well we are in our house.... sort of. It took us 3 days to drive down here. In the meantime our removalists never turned up. They did, but 30 hours after they were supposed too, and they didn't answer their phone!! So finally they turn up. In our initial quote they said delivery within 24 - 48 hours... wellll... our stuff will get here on Saturday :( To top it all off, I'm sick. I got a mother of a cold that started yesterday & have been in bed (well... we don't have a bed but I'm using a friends air mattress) today.
welcome back Christy! Sorry to hear not everything went to plan! it never does! here's hoping you get over that cold quick sticks and are back on your house-moving feet ;)
when we were moving from perth to gc i confirmed over and over and over 'our stuff will arrive on the 24th right?' well, get to the gc on the 24th..hmm...where's our stuff? ring them up..'no no..its leaving perth on the 24th..it wont be there for at least another week' WTF?!?!?! then to top it off, when it did arrive half of the stuff was smashed to pieces, ben's weights had been put on top of FRAGILE boxes, the printer was out of its box entirely! and then the guy started to unload bicycles and we were like 'ahh they're not ours' and he goes 'oh...well...do you want them anyways'?!?!?! can u believe it? anyways, after much letter writing back and forth they said we were threatening them and to cease all complaints!!!! i wish i took legal action but we really just cut our losses! d'oh!
so i hope your move was better than that Christy!!!! lol
taralee - how hot is it!!!!!! ughh
Christy - maybe it was divine intervention. I know that its a hassle that your furniture isn't there, but at least it gives you the opportunity to get better before it arrives.
Nelly - yay!!!!!!
Kim - that's brilliant news about the bed. hope it continues
Oh bummer Christy....get well soon!
Nelly glad your scan went well..and ms is easing up
Hot....man send the heat here....today was hot and today is cold!
V, Chelsea slept 3 hours in her bed today.....im soooo happy its been easy'ish for the last 2 sleeps...i think having had her bed in the room for so long she knew what it was for....and she was waiting for me to bite the bullet and remove the cot!
Today we have had an 'artist' day crayons and textas....Chelsea thought the carpet (cream in colour), fridge (white), front door (cream) and her clothes (pink) were the new paper...and dont forget Jasmines hands....oh the joys!!
Lay by'd a new car seat for her yesterday too..OMG they are expensive.....
awwwww christy i hope the cold eases up for you soon!!! and the air bed doesnt go flat! hoping even more that your stuff turns up tomorrow!!!
kim we need two maxi riders AHR's for sophie!! there goes $700 :o
blanche big  hunny!!!! things will get better soon
I dunno what brand i got but it was $380 from Babyco, had to make sure it was slim to fit in between two other seats and boy oh boy its a damn tight squeeze...glad im not going to be fitting it...taking it to an RACV fitting station!
Ella - Happy birthday for today little honey
Kim - Happy birthday for yesterday big honey (cos you're the adult) - that's wonderful that MIL is coming down on the 12th
Jake - Happy birthday for tomorrow
Blanche - thanks for the update, you gotta do, what you gotta do. It's a big step to take AD's, but you have obviously thought long and hard before taking that step.
AJP - lovely belly there!
Nicola - welcome aboard
Us - bilby got to try Gymbaroo today, MUCH better experience than when we tried KinderGym.
she also got to eat lunch outside today, in a creche's pergola type outdoor setting, well i offer food, she refuses food, our attempt at lunch!
first time playing with playdough this afternoon, the creche had rolling pins, cookie cutters and a thing you make "hair" or "worms" thru squeezing the playdough thru.
I don't know what to do about putting her in the hot car. I have metallic sunshades on the windows when we park the car, i place one over her baby seat too. When we get in teh car, everything in the car feels very hot to the touch, and she SCREAMS when i put her in the baby seat, i'm positive it's the heat of the fabric. We were only five mins car ride from home this afternoon, my aircon doesn't start working til about 10 mins of driving, and only works in teh front anyhoo. Bilby is saturated with sweat and so dopey when i take her out - even after a very short ride. it was only 27 degrees here today. we get days of 45 in the summer.
dh STILL hasn't gotten his car back yet, after the vandalism. fixing it is taking ages. one of the repairers DAMAGED the car some more!
but i felt really humbled today. A member on another forum, in same city as me, her dh was killed from a brain virus, (the same one i had but survived). It really put things into perspective to me. Here am i grumbling over little things really, and this poor woman has just lost her dh, their children lost their daddy.
makes you hug the people you love just that little bit harder.
:( Gigi - it is so sad that it takes something like that to make us take stock isnt it? yet we always seem to revert to old ways and promise it'll be different next time :( hugs to you, and their family will be in my prayers.
sorry, Nicola, WELCOME :) i meant to say that in my post before but got a little sidetrack ;)
Oh Gigi how sad about your friends Dh.
Cheslea went into her big bed fine again...no crying....yaya!!

we've been up for ages too. evie got up this morning at 5, pulled a bag of shopping off the table that i forgot to put away last night, opened a longlife milk and poured herself a cup. she came into the bedroom with a dangerously overfilled cup saying 'ahh...mama...mess' then i went out to find her wiping a single tissue through half a litre of milk. so so cute lol
off to buy a BIG BED today!!! she picked out her own dora sheets yesterday so we'll see how we go!!! i got a bit weepy then!
too cute tara!! i dropped some cherrios this morning and sophie started yelling mess!!!
we werent up that earlt, 7am here, but swimming tires me out bigtime!
have fune bed shopping!
Thats cute Tara.....Chelsea would have gotten the baby wipes out to clean up a mess like that. Have fun shopping for beds..i loved it!
We were up at.....920am!!
Another successful big bed night....ive had no problems what so ever...so i think tick the box for that battle!! :D
yay kim. glad its going well.
lol taralee... very cute. poo about the early start though. aston was waking up early like that last week.
Happy Birthday Jakey... cant wait to see you tomorrow for a big birthday smooch
Hi everyone else - quickie from me... ltos to do.
Happy Birthday Jake!!!!
I'm here... just found out our stuff won't be until Monday :( Far out. I've told them its not good enough & I was seeking outside advice... now to find someone to help...
Luckily we have close friends around here, so we have mattress's on the ground today & will just have to leave to cook meals at people's houses. We have a pantry full now & I've gone through and killed all the spiders lurking in the garage. We think we are going to convert the garage into a play room & build a fence inside so we can open the door & have air & light in there. The house is lovely... We want to buy it someday if we can. The new kitchen makes me happy everytime I walk through it. I pat the counters and smile. I can't wait for my gear so I can cook up a storm!!!!
We are off to vinneys later today to pick out some retro wardrobes to fit in the house. I want to retro and funk it up now that it will suit the house. The house is all art deco like a old but freshly painted & the floor boards are freshly polished. So we are getting some Indian rugs and hall runners and going to get some retro wardrobes and coffee tables. We will keep our mangy lounges until the girls are a bit older and then get some more funky ones. Maybe buy a few rugs to throw over them to make them less... grotty. Too many rice milks and icy poles spilled on them.
even without the furniture arriving christy you sound very happy hun. I'm glad that you like the new house - before you know it, it'll be HOME!
AF has arrived in her usual painful fashion, and I feel like crap! just ache ache ache..... ugh
