1stbub - Hope Liam settles down for you soon. Have you looked in his mouth? Could be thrush or a tooth coming up. Have you been eating anything new that could be upsetting your milk?
The Oz day celebrations were good except I spent most of the arvo inside in the aircon trying to settle Olive. She was being really fussy with the heat and her tooth coming through but is still sleeping through. We went shopping yesterday so that always wears her out but she wouldn't sleep when we got home.:wall: I finally got her down at about 8:30 but she had been awake since 4:30. So anyway I got to have two glasses of wine and listen to some of the hottest 100 and we had a wood fired barbie which was lovely except now the house smells like smoke. I'm sure Olive turned my sis & DF off kids tonight but luckily they know how good she normally is.
-
One week after Liam was born mum invited all the family around here for tea. That was the 1st night he turned feral and both of us were in the room the whole time trying to settle him. My pregnant sister and her DH were here - her poor DH who isn't all that keen on the idea of a baby as it is (he's happy with kids just not the baby stage :) ), and he's barely seen him since so hasn't seen all the good stuff. :)
I'd checked for a tooth and couldn't see or feel anything. His mouth did have kind of a white film towards the back. I thought thrush was in patches tho, but i've never seen it. He seems to have settled down now (we'll wait for the final verdict tho! ;) ). Can thrush ease by itself sometimes? Thanks for the suggestions! (!!!)
What disgusting weather Hollye. How's Mia coping with it?
-
OK I HAVE TO ASK..
Anyone planning more kids in the near future??
-
how near is near didi???????? at this stage i wont be thinking about another till Mia is about 3 but hay... u never know what the future holds. Having PCOS u never know when ur next kiddie will pop up! lol
Mia hates the heat. I have had the aircon on since 6am this morning. She had a crappy night, tossing and turning from about 2am. As soon as i turned the aircon on she went back into a deep sleep. so yeh... she no likey the heat, but hay who does!!!!!!! was gonna head into town for a walk today... not sure whether i will yet tho..... might wait for the hottest part of the day to be over first..
-
PP made a great thread girls. i think its really helping to release the sudden bitterness in BB atm. have a squiz..
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...fuzzy-due.html
-
Some people I guess like their kiddies very close.. Just wondering what everyone is using for contraception...
My 2 are 19 months apart.... I would say its easier as I am busy with 2 of them.. But if i waited till Ben was older, I would still be busy with Jorda.. so... either way..
I am not sure if i want more or not.. Such a huge thing to make a decision about!
-
Goodmorning my Lovely's a big  to you all and your little ones!!!
Didi - DH and i were speaking about when to have number 2 - and he said when it happens it happens, so i asked did that mean he didnt want to take any other precautions to stop it from happening and he dosent!!!!!!! i said....... well im no where near ready for number 2 just yet - i want to enjoy Bianca for a bit longer while its just her! i think i want to wait until B is about 3 or 4 - that way she can enjoy me being pregnant and will understand a little bit about what is happening and im hoping she will be a bigger help for mummy!
Hollye - how is Mia going? and how are u both coping in the disgusting hot heat???
Well i knew it was too good to be true and wouldnt last for a long time - Bianca managed to sleep thru every night for a whole week - but now she is back to waking up around 2-3ish and again at 6!
Im wondering if its cause we have put her bed on a less of a angle - due to her reflux we had her bed elevated - now we have taken it down a bit - so i wonder if that has anything to do with it?
Hello to everyone else - i hope everyone is doing well, and arnt having any major probs!!!
-
Oh i forgot - my little girl is 3mths today!!! woohooo
oh and she had her first go on a swing on monday - was soooo funny - she not the biggest fan - happy to sit in it - but dosent like it swinging! she pulls some funny faces! so i dont push her in it now - maybe when she is a bit older! i think it tickles her tummy!
-
Hi All,
Sorry havent been around for a while, with the school holidays and DH being home on holidays I didnt get much time to do much for myself IYKWIM. Anyway 2 darling kids off to school today just 2 to go. hehehe.:dance::dance:
Well Olivia is doing really well, still little but she is getting there. Just over two weeks ago she weighed 3.390kgs hc 37cm and length was 53cms. She is so very petite. I still get asked how manyu days old is she, or how many weeks is she? My BF little man that was born just under 6weeks after Olivia was born is already bigger than her, yet I must admit her has always been bigger than her. She is also sleeping between 10 to 10 1/2hrs a night. She just loves her sleep. Her next appt for the pead wont be until early march. I still have her u/s to do which is on the 12th of Feb. Fingers crossed all will be fine with that.
Tan - OMG, I am so sorry to see you go. Please make sure you come in and say hello and let us know how you and your family are going. hugs
Sneaky - How is everything going hun, and how is your beautiufl little bubba? hugs
Hollye - I am so glad Mia is putting on weight, I am so looking forward for Olivia to start catching up, she is still under the graph on the growth charts. Happy belated b'day too hun.
HJ - Hi there sweety, how are you and your little baby girl? Congrats on the house. hugs
Didi - Hi there, I hope all is well with you too.
OM - I am glad Olive is feeling better now, poor little bubba. hugs
Now no doubt I have missed so much and have missed someone as well, so my appologiesm it really isnt intentional. I hope you are all doing well, and I am going to try my best to keep up to date real soon. hugs
-
csab - woohoo your back  we missed you - i was thinking of putting out a MIA post for you!!!!!
Awwww Olivia is petite isnt she!!! but my gosh she sounds like she is a good sleeper! Just when we think Bianca is becomming a good sleeper she changes things around on us! although im sure all will be fine at the U/S i will keep my fingers crossed anyways!!!
so glad ur back and that all is going well!
-
Hehehe, thanks so much HJ, I so cant wait to get some of my me time back, hence BB is my me time. :D I cant wait for this u/s to be over and done with. I really feel however all is going to be fine with it. Bianca will get used to her sleep patterns soon hun. hugs
-
-
Awwww how cute is she!!!!!! she is a little darling! i could gobble her up! hahahaha
-
whats the u/s for csab??????? i cant remember for the life of me.. sorry
-
Cheryl good to see you back, I hope that the u/s goes well. She is such a little cutie.
HJ maybe try elevating her cot again and see if she sleeps thru again, Happy 3mths B.
Didi it's really up to you if you want more, the gaps between mine are 25mths, 25mths, 19mths, 28mths and I love having them so close, it's chaos most times but I love it.
I finally got a call from the physio today about getting Julian seen and it won't be until the 23rd of Feb. Not much else is going on, older two boys are back at school and it has been wonderful only having 3 at home again.
hugs xoxo
-
i still havent got a call! :wall:
-
 Hollye, hopefully you will soon, if not I will let you know some of the exercises when I go.
hugs soxo
-
awsome! thanks!!!! ive been trying to massage that muscle but she wont let me at it!! lol
-
I had my hair done today and Liam was looked after by someone other than me or DH for the 1st time. My nanna babysat him for a few hours. He cried and cried after i left - awww! Then he smiled and giggled at them and went to sleep until just before i came back. I think he might be teething. He's back to his normal self a little more but we still have big tearies a lot. But we'll see i guess.
Didi, we were going to just 'let things happen as they happen' but my doctor told me recently i should wait a while since i had a c/s. haven't actually decided to go with his decision yet, but i guess i should..... *pretends to consider it* ;) Reasons for jumping in so quick:
- both DH and i were close in age to our sisters (14 and 16 months) and can see lots of advantages
- DH wants to be the stay-at-home-dad so it works out better if the 'babymaking' and 'boobyfeeding' is out the way quicker
- My post-traumatic-stress has caused me to completely block out the whole labour/birthing experience.
It does make me a little sad tho that Liam wont be able to understand the whole thing. anyway, we'll see how it all works out.
Hi everyone!
-
Hi ladies,
csab- thanks for the well wishes. We have a follow up doctors appointment on friday which will be good. I was also going to ask what the u/s is for? hope it's fine.
didi - I'm having a little crises ATM cause i'm late so am doing a PT at the docs on friday. I've never been regular though so not to scaredbut very scary as I just want to enjoy Olive for a bit longer, we'll start trying after xmas for no 2. Fingers crossed foe me girls, 11mths is a bit close. I was on the mini-pill until about a week ago but it makes me to moody and I felt likr a b***ch the whole time so have stopped.
Olive has been a shocker the past couple of days. She has always been such a good baby, never crying much or being fussy but it's like I have a different child and this new one is very hard work. I think it's either teeth or she has thrush again but will ask doc his opinion tomorrow. Could just be a stage I suppose but she is really clingy and whingy, last night DH and I tried for about 4hrs to get her to sleep. It was very frustrating but at least she sleeps well through the night.
I had a reunion type thing with 3 other mums from my anti-natal classes yesterday which was great. I didn't have a watch so was quite supprised when I realised it was 2pm and we had been there since 10am. So nice to catch up with people who all have bubs the same age, we are going to meet up once a fortnight which will be lovely.
Have a nice day everyone.:)
-
Morning All,
HJ - Aww thanks hun, I keep telling Olivia that I am going to eat her and then I make noises on her belly etc and she gives me these cute little smiles and every now and then as she waits with anticipation for the next gobble with her eyes wide open she breaks out in a bit of a giggle. Soooo cute.
Hollye - She has to have a heart u/s done, as when I was pg with her especially in the last few weeks she had a echo in her left ventricle, so they want to check to make sure all is ok.
Amanda - Gee thanks hun, isnt it nice to have the kids back at school. For me another down and one more to go. hehehe (next week) Sorry as I havent really had a chance to catch up lately, is everything OK with Jack? Why did he need to see the physio?
1stbub - Woohoo for the hair doo... You know after my first c/s with my DD3, I fell pg with DD4 had her exactly 13mths to the day apart. I was so stressed out when I found out I was pg that I thought the DR's were going to give me an ear full about it, but they didnt. hehehe
OM - Your welcome, how did Olive sleep last night? Hope she is more settled today for you hun.
-
Mia gets weighed again today! fingers crossed for me girls!!!!!!!!!!!
good luck with the u/s cheryl! im sure everything is just fine!
-
Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven't been on, it's been a mad house here and with the weather hitting 44 yesterday and 45 here today don't think it's going to settle down anytime soon! It was 34 at 7am yesterday morning and 44 still at 8pm last night so the heat is hanging around and with no air movement it's been sooo hot, thankfully we've got refridgerated aircon so the house has been between 22 and 26 degrees for the hottest part of the day!
Britney went back to school yesterday (Wednesday) but they asked us to pick her up at 1pm yesterday and today they've asked us to keep them home due to the extreme heat, I'm guessing that tomorrow will be the same. Joshuah's making sure that he drives her insane and I'm hiding in my room from them with Hayden at the moment need a 5 min break before I go insane!! Joshuah just can't leave her alone, my monkeys are going to love each other to death!!!
Didispunk,
No more on the kiddling front from us Hayden will be our last unless a little suprise pops along. I'm currently on the minipill but will go on the full pill after I stop breast feeding, I've been lucky in the pass as I have POS and haven't used any birthcontrol. B & J were both fertility drugs but Hayden was natural, DH is talking about the snip as well so we'll see what pans out!
Hollye,
Hope all goes well with Mia and her weight today!
Csab,
Love the pics of Olivia, she's sooooo cute, best of luck with the ultrasound!!!
Hj,
Wow 3 months it goes sooo fast, wont be long and Bianca will be running, they grown up way too fast!
OM,
Hope all goes well at the Dr. it's great to hear that you enjoyed your re-union with the anti-natal class!
1stbub27,
Yay on getting your hair done, I'll be trying to get mine done in the next week or so if mum can have Hayden & Joshuah!
Amanda,
How's your little man going????
Hi to anyone I missed!!!
Better run Hayden's cooing in his cot, think he wants a feed!!!
Takecare all,
Luv Snoopea

Hi all,
Have to pop in more often so I don't have to spend an hour reading before posting lol. Sounds like there are other babies out there who are teething as well. Meara does nothing but suck her fist and gnaw on everything. My clinic sister is the one who told me she was teething (you think I'd know by now lol) but I honestly thought it was too early. Have been using bonjella and lemon juice. She settles right down after using them.
I have been reading about the weights of all your bubs and my DD is little compared to them. Meara is only 5.35kg and that is with clothes on. She does have little rolls on her legs though so I'm not so worried. She is 62cm long and her head is 38.5cm. I wonder if it is because she was a month early?? I have no issued with her sleeping. She goes to sleep about 10.30pm and wakes up at 8.00am. Wish her sister (2yo) would sleep like that!!!
Eldest 3 kids back at school yay and Kaylee now goes to preschool 2 days a week. What a blessing to have some time with just me and Meara. Kaylee is hell on legs lately and driving us all nuts. She is constantly belting up her 7yo brother and getting him to cry and then runs off laughing grrrrrr.
Hollye - hope Mia is putting on weight now.
Csab - olivia is gorgeous. Wish I could work out how to put pics up "shrugs"
didi - I think I'm done on the kidlet front too. 5 is way enough lol although DF is hinting at one more
Snoopea - I hear ya girl on the heat front. It is terrible here. Am inside all the time as it is waaaay to hot to go out (even in our pool)
Gotta go bubs is awake again
Take care everyone
Kim
-
Mia put on 260 grams this week!!!!!!! yay!! :cheer: so shes now 6.1 kilos! finally over 6kgs!
-
Hollye - Excellant news hun. So happy for you that Mia has gained some more weight. hugs Thanks as well, I am sure all will be fine too. Yet will still cross all fingers.
Kim - For being a month early your little one is a good weight. Olivia by my LMP was 9days early and by the very first u/s she was due on the 27th then the next lot after that due the 25th, she ended up being delivered on the 14th, which they decided to make her 2weeks early. So all the paperwork says 38wks. I am still waiting for Olivia to hit the 4kg mark. Really hoping by the time I have her next weigh-in with the pead in another 5wks time that she has hit the 4kg mark or over. So I gather you have 5kids now too?
Snoo - Hi there hun, so I gather you have been MIA as well. hehehe Thanks as well hun. hugs
-
Yay Hollye, so glad that Mia is finally putting on weight. Bet you feel better : )
Cheryl - yep we have 5 kids now too. Isn't it a handful (pardon the pun lol), especially when they all want your attention at the same time. My DF is talking about having another one "gulp" but I think we should be happy with what we have. He is off to have the snip next month and I think he is panicking a little. Hope Olivia starts to put on weight for you and yes Meara was a good weight. She was 3.28kg born and was my littlest. Goodluck with the u/s
-
YAY Hollye!!!!!
Great to hear Mia's hit the 6kg, I'm getting Hayden weighed next tuesday I hope he's over 6kg to!
Cheryl,
Hi!! How's Olivia going??? Are you breastfeeding or bottle???
Hayden's still on the boob but with the way he latches you'd think he was a pirana not a baby!!!
Kim,
Glad I'm not the only one on the heat front, it's horrible and we're expecting 42 here today and a week of 38 plus uurrggghhh not going to love the next power bill!
Hj,
How's Bianca going??
Hi to everyone else!!!
Been trying to amuse Josh inside, poor thing loves outside and can't understand why I keep telling him to get inside! Josh goes bright red after a little heat and looks like he's sunburnt until he cools off, he's one of the unlucky kiddlings that can't cope with hot weather!
Hayden's christened mummy with number 2's this morning, he let them rip and flooded the clean nappy, the shorts, the sheet and the back of the bodysuit as well as mums pants and top! I've never seen sooooo much poo, gotta love him. I think he'd been saving this one for at least a month!!! lol'
Takecare all gotta run and get Britney from school, she didn't want to stay home again! We're off to face the 42 degree heat ohhh what fun!!!
Luv Snoopea
-
Kim - Hehehe, love it, it truly is a handful. hahaha. So you have the same as me, 2 boys 3 girls. I really wouldnt mind trying for a brady bunch, but 5 is still enough. :) I guess we will have to see what the future holds, and I am guessing it will stay at 5.
Snoo - Poor things, its hard on the littlies with such hot weather. Hehehe, glad you had fun cleaning up all that poop. Olivia did 2 huge ones today. Olivia loves her nappy change times, she kicks away enjoying the feeling free time, and evens uses her legs to lift her rear off the ground, it is sooo cute. She gets all excited when it is bath time too. hehehe Forgot to mention, I have been bottle feeding Olivia for just under a mth. Needed to try and get some weight on her and felt as tho my BM wasnt doing it for her.
-
Wow lots of people are leaving BB... mm not sure why..
Jorda got weighed and measured.. she is 6kg at 4 months.. but a long little thing!!
she has a lump on her back.. not sure what it is.. so health nurse said take to doc.. so now i am all concerned... so off i go tomorrow to doc!
-
Didi - Olivia has little lumps on the back of her head, one more noticable than the other. I showed the pead twice already, the first time he said it could just be fatty tissue or little cysts. Then the last time he said ohh I think we better keep an eye on them, incase they are some sort of dermatoid cyst or something like that. So he is going to make sure it isnt getting any bigger everytime I see him. If it does it may need to get cut out. So fingers crossed we dont need to do anything. Hope all turns out ok with Jorda's lump. hugs
-
Hello Everyone!
wow u miss one day and u have alot of catching up to do! so sorry if i miss anything!
Hollye - :cheer: go Mia - woohoo on making the 6kg mark! i cant wait to get B weighed on monday for sure she will be over - she is growing so fast lately and its really noticeable! Any luck with the near future move to Brisvegas???
Cheryl - i make those noises on Bianca's belly also - however she frowns at me - i think she thinks she has a nutty mum - cause thats the type of look i get from her all the time! i reakon that Olivia will be way over the 4kg mark come her next visit with the pead for sure!!!! :)
didi - hope the lump is nothing serious - when do u find out?
Snoopea - hahahahahaha you got christened!!!! hehehehe that hasnt happened to me yet (touch wood)
Amanda - where are u???????
OM - How is Olive going? has she settled down again?
1stBub27 - where are u also?????
Kim - 5kids! oh my golly gosh how do u do it? i think mothers like u and Cheryl are truely amazing! but in saying that i want 100 so i guess 5 is nothing compared to that! hehehe
Well B is going pretty well - she is becoming more and more of a character every day - last night she wouldnt go to sleep and threw a bit of a tanty in her cot, in the end i gave in and went in and got her and took her out to the lounge room - i was giving her a bit of a lecture telling her it was her bed time and she should be sleeping when she started laughing at me - like big time laughing - she was throwing her head back and all like is was in hysterics - DH came out and asked what was going on and i said thats Bianca laughing and she kept doing it - so hard to be serious and a bit cranky with her when she did that! she just melted our hearts (like always)
-
Hi all!
It's too hot.....that's it for me today...sorry!
-
-
HJ - hehehe, I am sure V is thinking the same thing that 'Gee my mummy is a nutter" Its probably why she gets such a thrill out it. hehehe. Its really nice watching our bubs grow into the person they are going to be, all their characteristics beaming thru. Enjoy it hun. I absolutely love watching V and my other kids. hugs
Hippie - Hi hun, hope you are feeling cooler now. hugs
-
Hi everyone,
Olive was a bit better yesterday, still having some bedtime battles during the day but she's fine at night which is the main thing. I can't do controlled crying so I have to rock her to sleep usually as she will not self settle no matter what I do and I don't want to feed to sleep all the time cause it's only 2mths till i'm back to work (boohoo). TBO I think she just really needs to do a poo as she hasn't been for a week and a half!
We had our follow up appointment with our doc about Olive's ultrasound yesterday and he said that they treat UTI's in babies very seriously these days and that she needs to have another urine test on monday. If there are any bugs in it she will have to go see a pead and have some invasive test to check the urinary tract so thats a bit scary.
hj - I also love it now that Olive's personality is developing. The past couple of days when she's been clingy and whingy I pass her to her dad and she starts smiling and talking to him. My mum also said to her "why aren't you being good for mumma?" and you should've seen the bottom lip drop, it was so cute.:) She's also started on the cranky talk the past few weeks which is also very cute.
Oh and i'm not pregnant, yeah. Don't get me wrong I want another bub but we will start trying next year, it's a bit soon for us ATM, I just want to enjoy my gorgeous girl.
Did anyone specifically try for the sex of their baby? I've heard you can do certain things to do that and I was wondering cause we want to have a boy next time then DH will get the snip. We love parenthood but always wanted a boy and a girl then thats it.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
-
Hello Everyone!
Just a quick one cause Gilmore Girls is on soon hehehehe
We had another open house today and we had 12 ppl come and look thru it!!!!
so fingers crossed we get a buyer soon!
anyway hope u all are going well and ur bubs are being the little angels that they all are!
Give them all a big hug and kiss from me!
Talk soon
xo
-
Fingers crossed for you hj. I know what it is like waiting for a buyer for your house and it is terribly frustrating. Luck is being sent to you for a quick sale.
OM - are you happy or sad about not being pg. I have a feeling that DF is going to try to talk me into having another one soon and Meara is only 3 months old. I would end up having 3 under 3 "gulp"
Have been out to bunnings this morning and saw lots of great stuff that we would like to get. We are going to do our tax soon (bit late I know lol) and then go on a spending spree woo hoo.
OMG is it hot again. I hate the heat soooooo much. Can't even go out for a swim as I burn really easily and it is too hot.
Back later girls
-
Hi Girls,
Havent been on BB for about a week and I have missed out on so much. Havent had a chance to read everything but once I get a spare minute I will read up!!!
HJ - Good luck, hopefully someone who came for an inspection today loves your house and will buy it.
Kim - Glad Meara is doing well. Haven't weighed Lara since her 2month needles and she was 5.1kg then (she is a bit of a chubby bubby). Its amazing how they were born on the same day and Lara was so much lighter and now she is little miss chubby. Wow on maybe number 6 (if DF can talk you around lol).
I finally got to go for lunch with friends today. DH had the kids and I was enjoying myself until I started feeling sick. I've been to the toilet a few times (sorry TMI) but one of my friends has as well and we both ate pasta for lunch. Must've been the food & its pretty bad that both of us have been sick.
Oh guess what, DH went out for one of his mates b'day last night. I was home by myself with the 2 kids. It was 10:30pm and I found a snake in our house. I am absolutely petrified of snakes. I tried ringing DH who was 30mins away and his mobile had no service so I rang the place where he was at and he came home. It was the longest 30mins of my life. I was trying to keep an eye on it so I knew where it would be when he got home. I quickly went and got changed coz one of his mates was coming with him and I lost it. Lucky they found it curled up behind the hot water system in the laundry. I am so paranoid about snakes now. We've had 5 since we've lived here but none inside before. It slid under our screen door.
Gotta go and get dinner ready.
Have a great weekend.
-
HJ - fingers crossed for u!!!!! as for the move... still saving. We are managing to put about $100 away a week atm so it will still be sometime this year. one thing i do know... IM NEVER spending another summer in Victoria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grrrrrrrr!!!!!!
KimB - My mum had 3 under 3 and i asked her how she did it and she said "i didnt think about the ages, they are my babies and they only had me to rely on, so i had to do what i had to do!" I was the youngest of that 3 and honestly now... i wouldnt have it any other way... my brothers are great and we are really close now. It was abit hard growing up, losta argueing and stuff but u do get over that. I think allllllllll brothers and sisters fight at some stage.
Liegh - ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wudda crapped my pants for sure! glad its gone now!
Mia is good.. rollling heaps, playing with toys, and she now stands when she is holding onto something! Heat is getting to her tho, poor little poppet. Her bottle this morning she drank the whole 200 mls!!!!!! and only spewed twice! yay!!!!!!!
