HELP I have 2 sick little girls atm. Both have summer colds and are really ill. Poor Meara has the worst sounding cough. Kaylee I think may be getting an eye infection. grrrrr winter I can understand but summer pffffft. Hopefully they get over it soon as Meara is having trouble breathing through her nose. Using Fess for littlies and it works for a while.

Kim, I am in the same boat, both Lara and DD1 have colds. Hope they all get better soon. If anyone has any suggestions on what we can do that would be great.
humidifiers/vaporsiers work a treat girls! u get them from the chemist. Elevate the top of where they are sleeping. Keep them fluids up, eeven if it means chucking in a couple extra feeds. You can use Baby Vicks now (over 3 months) and that also works a treat HTH
Thanks Hollye, might grab a vapouriser tomorrow. I've been looking at getting one for a while coz we can all use it when we get sick.
Thanks Hollye, I have forgotten about all this lol. Will try the vicks and if I need to will get the vapouriser. The only prob is both DD's sleep in our room so we will be breathing it in too lol oh well here comes clean sinuses.

You can also buy I product called Euky bear rub, It's simular to vicks baby and works wonders. I was told to put vicks on your feet if you've got a really bad cold, haven't tried it but my friend swears by it! Hope your girls are better soon, it's so horrible when they're sick no matter what the weathers like!

I hear you on the laughing front, it's so hard to tell them off when they're like that wait till she gets older. So many times I've had to restrain myself but sometimes you just can't help but laugh too!

Snoo - I have to agree with your friend, I put baby vicks on my kids feet and put socks over it too as well as on their chest and back when they are sick with the flu and it really does work wonders. You should try it next time.

Well today I have my Appt with the Physician to see why I am ANA positive, so it is going to be interesting to see what they come up with. Not sure on how long it is going to take to get any results back tho. Still cant believe 3mths has been and gone already. hugs

I just lost a huge post which was the icing on the cake for an already crap day but I will get to that later.
Didi - I have just started back on weight watchers as I lost 15kgs doing that before and kept it off for 2yrs up until having Olive. I put on 25kgs during my pregnancy despite exercising daily and eating healthily but I also think giving up smoking contributed to that. I lost 15kgs in the first week after getting home from the hospital as I also carried alot of fluid so I want to lose about 5-10kgs to get back to my healthy pre baby body. It's only really just started to bother me though.
In regards to the HPT I am relieved as I don't think we are ready for another baby just yet. We want to try after xmas but in saying that we definatly would have embraced it had it been positive.
hj - have you bought the other house? Sounds promising that someone will buy your place soon. Was it you who was having trouble with B not liking baths? Olive is going through that ATM and she is also really frightened by loud noises.
Hollye - glad to here that Mia is having good weight gains. The medication is obviouly working and the 2 of you must be so much happier.

Now for my vent sorry ladies but here goes.
Had a terrible nights sleep then got ready to go to ABA meeting, got to the venue only to find out that it isn't till next week.
My nipples are really sore and it feels like I have got staph or thrush again. I'm also spending about 6hrs a day expressing ATM so haven't been able to get much housework done.
We had to get Olive's next urine sample today so am stressing about the results of that.
She hasn't done a poo for 2 weeks so is getting pretty annoyed about that.
Then DH gets home and seems really cranky and it turns out that his work are changing his hours so he won't be able to look after Olive when I go back to work in April meaning that we will have to use FDC 3 afternoons a week. They are also changing his role so they can pay him alot less and keep him casual even though he works like 50+hrs a week and just got his truck licence cause they asked him to in the hope they would give him FT work.
One gorgeous thing that did happen is that my mum was holding Olive and when she saw me she smiled, put her arms out and leaned towards me. Awww even after a horrible day being a mum is the best!!!
OM - I'm sorry to hear about hubbys work. How scumbaggy can you get. About Olive not pooping try prune juice. A couple of mls a couple times a day works wonders. For your bbs I bought some Rite Aid breast pads and in the box it contained some hydrogel discs. These are for sore, cracked nipples and areola (sp ) and you can even put them in the fridge before using them for extra coolness. I used them once and they made my nipples feel soooo much better. I'm glad Olive can make you feel better with a smile. It really warms the heart.
didi - I too am having trouble losing weight but this is after 5 kids lol so I have to expect it. I have started doing exercises in our pool every day and have lost some weight but am going to have to lose heaps more before we get married.
Oh god am I having a stressful day. Both youngest DD's are sick and it looks like the others are coming down with it too. DF is stressed and swearing his head off at the kids. Money is tight and we have to do so much this month on top of birthdays and rego's. I need to win lotto lol.
Have to go and have a shower with Mimi (as Kaylee calls her) as DF won't do it. Night all
OM - give her a little water. it will help her poo!
Hollye and KimB - I already give Olive water and have since birth even though they say BF babies don't need it (not that I tell the ABA meetings that). My doctor says it's fine for BF babies to go 3wks without pooing but something is definatly annoying her lately. Will try boiling some prunes though and adding a little to her water, thanks ladies. She gets weighed tomorrow which will be interesting as they say that when they don't poo they are absorbing all the BM.
OM - I just use sunraysia prune juice and give it to her straight. It doesn't hurt them and it is effective lol. I also give Meara water and have since she came out of hospital. The CHN was horrified but the sister at the chemist said she recommends it. I have done it for all my kids and they are all fine. You could also try brown sugar in the water, that is supposed to work too.
OM - If the water isnt working u could always try Coloxyl drops u get from the chemist - they work a treat!
And Yep its me that is having trouble with Bianca not liking her baths anymore! we now shower with her and she loves that, have also put her in the big bath and she was fine with that - maybe she had grown out of her little bath and didnt like it anymore! am going to try her in the big bath again and see how she goes, as having her shower with one of us is not always good, cause she gets bathed etc much earlier than us, and usually we like to go for a walk after dinner, so having showered and being in PJ's is not good come that time!!!
and yep we have brought the other house, but its still condition to us selling ours!

On our house front we had a phone call from the realestate at 2115 last night!!! (we were in bed) someone had put an offer on our house, so the realestate guy came over with their offer of 40K less than our asking price!!!! why did he even bother us at that time of night for that offer? of course we said nope, and put in a counter offer, will find out sometime today what the go is!

OM - hope olive has pooed! Mia doesnt have a problem pooing anymore. Im garenteed about 2-3 poo's a day.
HJ - Mia is trying to crawl atm. She can get her knees up but tries and pushes off on her feet and doesnt go anywhere so she gets frustrated and rolls onto her back. LOL. 40k less?? pfft to that! 4ok more is more like it. yeh i cant wait to move to brissy either.. :)
KimB - hope Meara is feeling better!
didi - pre baby weight? wouldnt know, havent weighed myself. I know i put on a good 25-30 kilos tho.. and i need to lose much more than whhat i was pre pregnancy. thinking of joining something to help me, like weight watchers or something? 2 teeth? wow thats cool! Mia's still wont cut.. they are just sitting there.. tho everyday they are a little closer to the surface.
All good here. Matts got tomorrow, thursday, friday and monday of work! yay!!!!!! Mia's christening is on sunday! it will be nice to have him home for a few days. Mia has another photo shoot tomorrow so fingers crossed shes all smiles.

HJ - Good luck with finding out about your house this arv. Fingers x'd for you. No more snakes, thank god but I am so paranoid now. Everytime I go into the laundry I get really nervous and have a good look around first.
OM - Hope Olive poos soon. I've been giving Lara water since she was a couple of days old, my dr and health nurse recommend it. She has no problem pooing though. Hopefully the trying the prune juice will work for her.
Hollye - I put on around 20 kgs while I was pregnant. I've lost 10 but still need to lose another 10kg plus I'd like to be a bit smaller than my pre pregnancy weight so I'd like to lose around 15kg. I am thinking of trying weight watchers too. Let me know what its like if you go on it soon.
Does anyone else have the implanon in or have you ever had it? I got mine put in when Lara was 4 days old (I'd never had it before) Anyway, I bled for 9 wks after I had Lara (not sure if its coz I had a baby or from the implanon but I only bled for 2wks after having DD1). Then when I stopped bleeding at 9 wks I had almost a month of not bleeding and now I've been bleeding again for 11days & it is quite heavy (sorry tmi), it is driving me nuts. My period before I had Lara was so light and only lasted 2 days and now I am stuck with heavy bleeding for god knows how long. Plus my dr said people find it hard to lose weight on the implanon so I think that is why I am struggling a bit to lose mine.
Anyway better go and get DD1 lunch. Hi to everyone I have missed.

OMG Meara just had her 1st go in the jolly jumper and she cried when I took her out lol. I think a little time in it each day is going to be good for her (and me) lol.
I have about 20kgs that I need to lose. That will still put me in the upper weight bracket for my height but any smaller and I look gaunt. Good luck to all of us trying.
Hollye - thats good about no flat spot - B favours her right side and has a slight flat spot - nothing noticable but u can feel it - she has no probs turning her head to any side or anything but she just like to sleep facing her right, so im trying to get her to face the other way!
Leigh - sorry have never had implanon so cant help u there, and my periods are back to normal since having B but are very light!
Kim - thats great that Meara love'd the jolly jumper - i want to get one!
re jolly jumper - no more than 15 mins a day coz it makes them go on their toes and they will start walking on their toes. Advice from my MCHN.

Yeh, Olive finally pooed this morning.
She's crashed out now after a big day shopping and going to clinic. She now weighs 7.35kgs and is 65cms long. I forget the HC but she is in the 97th percentile for everything still. I rang the docs but he hasn't marked the results as he won't be in until the morning.
Leigh - in regards to implanton I haven't had it but my sister did and bled constantly for 3mths which is ironic seeing as you don't feel like DTD with that happening. I have also had friends with the same thing. How much longer til the 3mths is up?
I think doing the body challenge thing is a great idea. As I mentioned I started back on weight watchers yesterday as I found it really effective last time.
awsome. We dont disclose how much we weigh coz that doesnt matter. Just tell me how much you want to lose. Every week u tell me how much you have lost etc. ill just add a little list for us coz i dont want the mods to get angry.. so ill start (we will start offically on Monday being week 1) i want to lose 40 kgs.
Hollye - Ok I said earlier I want to lose about 15 kg but I'll make it 20 kgs (hopefully I can lose the 20 kg). I am going to start swimming next week as well.
OM - Its been almost 3 1/2 months since I've had the implanon in. Like I said I bled for 9 wks straight then stopped for almost 4 wks and now I've been bleeding again for 11 days. I just wish it would I would stop bleeding & your right, theres not much chance of us DTD while I am bleeding heavy like this. I am going to the dr on Thurs so I will see what he says.
Hi girls sorry I haven't posted much lately, I've been reading though, just haven't felt that I can add much and have been trying to keep the house a little tidier, lol.
Julian has started to blow raspberries now as well as poking his tongue out, it's very cute. I had a great day today, I went for a visit over to PP's house and the kids had a wild time playing together. Hopefully I'll make a bigger effort to post so that I don't get so far behind.
Hollye I'll PM you my weight on Monday I've joined the big one as well, I want to lose 30kgs to get to my pre pregnancy weight from 9 yrs ago, lol.

Yesterday we finally hit the 3months mark for Hayden and it was a wonderful day he spent most of it playing on the floor with J & B. Then spent over an hour rolling around the floor cooing at his dad! They are soooo amazing to watch as they discover new things, the cheeky monkey has started to blow raspberrys and J & B are loving it so is DH to mention it!
Hayden was weighed yesterday at 6.2kg and 65cms long!

Hi all, had a busy and hot day today. Meara is still going well but I forgot to get her weighed lol will have to do it at the dr's tomorrow.

Meara is still not rolling around but then when she cries someone always picks her up lol. I will try to give her more floor time. She does love to coo and gaa though and it sounds so cute. Also her hair is still dark so maybe she will stay that way and be my only brunette baby. My eldest DD went dark as she got older. OMG she is 14 this month. I can't believe how quickly that has gone. She is in year 9 now and the boys are starting to discover her grrrrrr where's the shottie???

Got Olive's results back and it's all clear so no pead, yeh. She's eating me out of house and home ATM so this is my second time up expressing tonight which is quite frustrating.
We are getting our new floor on the weekend which will be good as I don't want it to bacome one of those jobs that lasts forever.
Tomorrow i'm taking Olive to the CC centre where I work and giving her a bath in front of the 2-3yr olds so that will be very cute.

I cant believe the heat lately, we are pretty lucky with our air con being so good, but I think that the heat is why jman is waking again, he doesnt seem to want to feed so well during the day, so hes making up for it at 4am.
I swera I have put on 5kg this past week and a half just from not being able to get out and about, its just been too damn hot:rolleyes:
good luck to you all on your weightloss, Im pretty chuffed with myself atm, I came out of my pgcy 10kg lighter than when I went in! I probably still need to lose a bit but I dont want to preessure myself while still bfing, im just trying to do as much incidental exercise as I can.
my friend was due to have a baby on tues, but nothing happening, she is being induced this tues coming if nothing happens by then, i am so excited for her!! I get really emotional and teary just thinking about it, its making me clucky for another bub, and I did swear that I never wanted to do that again, how easily we forget!!

Hi all just a quick one to update u on whats happening with the selling of our house - or should i say not selling of our house - the couples final offer was 24K less than our asking price so we said nope! next time they want to play with the adults they need some real money to play with! was rather annoying and petty with them only going up 2K everytime!
Wow what a marathon catching up!! Have been in Melbs seeing all the family and for my sisters engagement/house warming party. Mmm, yeah, THANKS for the weather!!! :p I much prefer the humidity here. We stayed at my MIL house. We get along pretty well but she's 70 and wants to put her 2cents in about EVERYTHING!! 6 days was enough IFYKWIM. She cried a lot when we left though. They'll be up here in April but she's on a pension so can't afford to come up as often as my parents do. :(

Sign me up for losing 10kg. What a great idea. I was doing ok for the first 2 months, but don't seem to be getting anywhere now, even though i'm much more mobile.
Leigh - I would freak out with a snake in the house!! We had a frog living in the toilet for the first month we lived in this house and i still sometimes check 2 1/2 years later. :rofl:

Liam is teething! Poor little boy. Last night i put him to bed with panadol coz he just wouldn't settle - and i knew he was still tired from barely sleeping the night before (woke EVERY hour!!) so figured overtiredness would mean the pain felt worse etc. He slept really well an is doing better today.
He was SOOOOO good while we were away. Charming everyone of course, and at my sisters party he was passed around all night (around sleeps and feeds of course) and at times was far away from me and DH for like 1/2 hour at a time and had no issues with it. No issues on the plane either which was really good.
I forget who asked about Implanon. I had it for about 2 years until 6 months before Liam was concieved. I generally didn't bleed for 4-6 months then it would be a pretty big one. I might have had 1 or 2 that lasted about 2 weeks while the rest were the usual 7 days or so, but it has a different effect on everyone. The biggest thing for me was it killed my labido (TMI?). I think weight gain was an issue but i wasn't eating well either. It was good not to have to think about it, and its kinda cool to feel it in your arm, but I'll be thinking hard before just jumping back to it again.

1stBub - Glad you had a great time away. Thats good Liam was so good for you while you were down there. I like it when we go to parties or bbq's and Lara gets passed around, gives me a break for a little while. Poor thing with his teething. Lara isnt rolling over yet either but is trying so hard. But Im still kind of glad she isnt coz when I put her down I know she isnt going to roll any where. It was me who asked about the implanon, my bleeding has slowed down a bit now so I am hoping it will stop very soon and then stay away for a while. I'll give it a few more months and if the bleeding keeps up I'll get it removed. Oh I am scared of frogs too. I'd still be checking the toilet everytime I go too if I were you.
HJ - Thas sux about the house. God, they must've known you guys wouldnt accept an off that low. Fingers x'd you get a buyer soon.
Starrysky - Hope your friend has her baby soon - how exciting!! Everytime I find out someone is pregnant I get jealous coz I cant have anymore kids and I would really love too.

Liams got plenty of movement, but I think it might be a lot harder with his big round roly poly cloth nappies. Think i should give him plenty of naked time to help him out.
I actually got rid of the frog myself as DH was still down in Shepparton. After about a month I finally built myself up, went in with rubber gloves and a huge plastic container, completely freaking out(!), waited til he was out of the toilet and trapped him. I heard they spend their whole lives trying to get back to their 'home' so i drove him 1/2 an hour away and dropped him there!! :rofl: For that month before tho you'd never know where he was and I'd have to keep the toilet lid closed so he didn't jump out and wet everything, so I'd lift the lid carefully each time. But usually he'd be hiding where the water comes from when you'd flush, so you'd NEVER know he was there until you flush and this BIG leg would slip down. *shiver* gives me the heeby jeebies just thinking about it. Never had such quick toilet trips in my whole life!! :lol:

We are well moving right along, jorda will be crawling in the next couple weeks.. odd as she was a month premie.. i guess she has caught up.. she rolls around everywhere and these 2 teeth and more on the way!.
I have been on this serious weight loss so in 4 weeks i have lost 4.3kg.. i am sooo happy and feeling wonderful!!

well done didi. Wish I could lose some more weight. I'm trying but it is stubbornly sitting on my belly lol. I have to be fit and fabulous and 40 not fat and frumpy grrrrr. Body get on with it.
