Well it seems as though all of our bubs have had bad reactions to their 4mth needles. After sleeping from 5:30pm-5:30am Olive woke up screaming and didn't stop. We gave her panadol and she slept but then was really off for the rest of the day with fevers and even spewed twice (she NEVER spews). She also has a nasty red mark and lump on one of her legs. She is asleep now after being dosed up again so hopefully she is better tomorrow.

p.s DH didn't go surfing and stayed home to help me so is in the good books again

i here u on the solids thing.. yeh im excited about starting Mia on solids but there is alot of work. Bottles are quite simple... water, formula, feed, wash, sterilize. It will be good tho to go through this all together as we can give each other all sorts of idea to what to give them. Im going to try and stick with BLS, the only jar stuff Mia will be having is pureed fruits as im not confident in giving her fruit peices just yet and i got some Heinz Organic Baby cereal (ide rather all the organic stuff) as im not crash hot on giving her toast just yet.

So its all there waiting.. most of it. Just need to pick my highchair up of layby which will still be a couple weeks..

hey all, sounds like all our bubbas are growing up. Meara is rolling over quite regularly now (still only 1 way) and is trying to pull herself up into a sitting position. She is also gnawing her fingers like crazy. I had her weighed last week and she is now 6.25kg. Woo hoo we made the 6kg mark lol. We still haven't been able to get her needles done yet as she is still sick and the dr won't do it until she is better. Spoke to him about getting pg again and he said it would be fine but I would need constant monitoring due to previous pre eclampsia and c/s. He feels that they will give me a trial of labour and see how I will go.

Sorry no personals today, Meara is crying again poor bubba.

    C ya's

PS i have lost .6kg this week so can you please update me thnx

hj - depends on whether she is better. I know my dr won't give them the needles if they are still sick and I'm assuming that is the same for all drs. I will have to make an appointment when Meara is better.

You're better off asking your doc but I think she should be fine if she is all better.

    Hi Girls,

Haven't been on BB since Fri so had a bit of catching up to do.

Lara still hasnt got her needles either. I will probably take her this Thurs or Fri, just need to ring my GP and book her in.

We got a new fridge today, I've wanted a new 1 for ages and got excited when our old one finally started playing up last week. Isn't it funny how you get all excited about things like fridges now but like 10 years ago I wouldn't have given a bugger about a new fridge.

Sorry I dont have time for personals, i've got to go and cook dinner. I will try and be back later, if not tomorrow!!!

Hmm, a new fridge would have always excited me.

Stopped Liam on the solids for most of last week and he was better. But DH wanted to give him some on the weekend and gave him some banana which he loved and had no probs with. Have been giving him food all weekend now (only 1tbs per day) and he's been fine. I know you're supposed to try one thing for 4 days or so at a time, but we had pumpkin so gave him some of that a few days, and otherwise am giving him rice cereal. He LOVES eating (eyes light up and he leans towards it waiting) but screwed his face up and gagged at the pumpkin. Figured out tonight that although it was well mushed and smooth (had formula in with it), it had tiny little lumps still. So gave it another good go and made sure they were out and he loved it. Funny.

Oh, Hollye, my weight loss (or getting nowhere anyway) was lost in the post that didn't post (does that make ANY sense?? ). Anyway, between this week and last I've put on 1kg. But that's ok. I'm feeling like I'm back on the horse now so we'll see what this week brings.

    Hi all,
Olive is back to normal thank goodness after her needles and is also happy cause she can have bm again. Barb Glare the LC on BB gave me the number of a pharmacist called Rodney White who reckons the latest studies show that it's fine to give bm while on the ABs i'm on so i'm feeling much more upbeat as well.
Olive is also doing the cutest thing with her Daddy where he sings to her then she copies and 'sings' then they take turns, it's so gorgeous.
She is also sitting up in her highchair alot ATM because she absolutely will not lie on her playmat anymore unless she is on her belly and even then it's only for 5mins. She just loves sitting up.
I'm going to dinner at my mums tonight for my sisters 'tame' hen's night so that will be lovely. I missed out on her proper one on saturday cause Olive and I both weren't well but oh well raging around the pub isn't that appealing anymore.

Hollye - I didn't lose any weight this week but stayed the same so thats ok.

1st bub - Glad to hear Liam likes the solids, we will hold off for as long as possible but i'm sure my big girl will love food and stares at us and moves her mouth while we are eating.
Who will let their babies have chocolate at easter time. I've already told DH that he has to back me up with his family and not let them give Olive any until next year.

hj - I hope B gets better soon.

Leigh - got to love a new fridge or any white goods really. In fact I just love to shop full stop!

Congrats on weight loss for the week ladies. See ya.

HJ - sorry you're not feeling well. Hope it passes quickly for you. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids, have plenty of vitamin c, rest as much as possible etc. (always used to bang on about that for the girls at work so they'd get better quicker. )

OM - that's great that you can BF again! Has Olive taken back to it without any worries?
Hadn't even thought about chocolate for easter, but won't be giving him any. I don't think my family will either so i don't think it will be a worry. If they do give him any i'll just eat it for him!! Oh wait! No i wont, DH will have to.

And I forgot to say congrats to everyone on your weight loss! Well done!!
