Morning All
Thank you Amanda and 1stBub on the replys re-starting solids - i must admit i was a bit worried on what ppl would think and say!
Hollye and 1stBubs DH's HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Have u got anything planned for them?
Cheryl - How is V now after her needles?
Anyways just a quick one - B still not sleeping thru and came out of having her needles okay! didnt drink much yesterday, but she did that for the 2mth ones - and was a little warm this morning but apart from that seems to be pretty good so far!

HJ - I was a little nervous about writing in here that I'd started Liam on solids, after us all kind of agreeing on 6 months. But it really did feel right. And like you said, we are all a pretty positive and supportive group
...got no real plans for DH's birthday. Apart from prez's of course, which he opened 1/2 of yesterday. He's not big into celebrations, so I'll just do whatever he wants for tea, give him hot cross buns as a birthday treat, and try not to bite his head off even though I'm a cranky little one lately... :(
Liam woke up screaming last night. Wasn't easily consoled. didn't want food. DH calmed him down with rocking and gentle talking and he went back to sleep. did it again with the same results then slept the rest of the night fine. Would NOT have the bb this morning - the same screaming until i was in the kitchen where he knows i get the bottle ready... thrush? teething? I don't know. anyway, better go express before he wakes up. Have a great weekend everyone! (...what is a weekend....????? ;) )

Hi Girls,
Haven't been on here for a few days so been reading and trying to catch up.
Lara went for her 4mth needles yesterday. Man did she cry, it was the loudest I have ever heard her cry, lucky she didnt cry for too long and she was fine for the rest of the day. I was glad to see how much she weighed etc coz it hasnt been done since her 2mth needles.
Here are her stats:
Weight: 7.1 kg (Birth 2.7 kg)
Length: 63 cm (Birth 42 cm)
Head circ: 41cm (Birth 30.2 cm)
I've just gotten home from a 1st Bday party, it was a an indoor play centre, I am exhausted now.
Gotta go, sorry no time for personals, I will try and BBL to do them.
-
nah.. Matt just thought everyone forgot about his bday but i knew everyone was coming over today! he was quite shocked. He got spoilt ROTTEN!!
-
Its 59 a month, on a 12 month contract taht you can get out of if you pay 50$ so its good..
Right now you can join for free if you bring in a bag of groceries for a charity... so its a savings of 199...
I love it.. i am definitly addicted.. and i hate gyms..
I also found that if you dont exercise at all... and drink at least 2.5L of water a day, you will loose weight as well!!!
-
Didi - are u serious? no exercise at all and 2.5L of water and u will lose weight?
Is there a child care bit there that i could out Bianca in? or are they happy to have bub with u in a pram?
Hollye - i take it Matt had a great day than?
Leigh - wow how nicely is Lara growing!!!!!
Bianca woke up numerous times last night she went to bed at 2200 woke at 0230, 0420, 0530 and 0655!!!! i cant wait for the day that i can sleep thru again!!!!
-
im soooooooooooooooooooo bored!
-
HJ.. yup honeslty.. water is the key to loosing weight!!! If you can try and eat more veggies less carbs.. sugars etc.. you will loose it faster!
And if you exercise.. walk etc.. you have a better chance of keeping it off longterm, as you need muscle to eat away calories!!!!
any slight change to your current lifestyle makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE!! good luck!
-
Didi - well done on the health kick.
Hollye - sorry to hear that you are so bored. Why do you think that is? have you got any hobbies that you can do while Mia is sleeping? I sometimes get bored when DH isn't home but it's usually just cause I need to see other people so I go down town or just get out for a while and it's much better. Do you go to any mother's groups?
hj - we started Olive on solids on saturday. She only had a teaspoon of rice cereal and wasn't particularly impressed but tonight she liked it and she has slept through again since being on solids so am thinking she was waking due to hunger. I was going to wait until she was 6mths but she seemed ready. Olive is 8.5kgs, is rolling, can hold her head up and I was having to give her formula top ups so if I can cut down on those and just give bm and solids that would be better. Olive is 5mths tomorrow so I feel like she can handle it. It's pretty exciting but she is growing so much. First a tooth and now solids. Olive is also still waking herself up by moving around her cot in the day but it isn't so bad of a night when she is in a deep sleep. Hope B gets back into a routine again for you soon.
DH, Olive and I and stayed in a cabin by the beach on saturday night which was lovely. Even though we had Olive with us it felt great to reconnect as a couple again away from the pressures of home and housework even if it was only for one night. Will have to do more short stays now that i'm nearly back to work and DH will be soon working every second saturday.
I've got a busy couple of weeks before work. I'm getting my wisdom tooth out next week and also have to go to a kidney specialist but it will be good to get it all out of the way before I go back to work. I'm going to miss Olive so much but in some ways am looking forward to work.
Anyway Hi to everyone else and theri bubba's.

Goodmorning Mummy's and Baby's
Amanda - how did u go yesterday??????? how is Julian?
Hollye - i get bored easily too! see if u lived here in brissy we bth would get bored so much! hehehe ;)
OM - its exciting starting solids isnt it! i went to the chemist yesterday and had B weighed etc and she is now 7.2kgs 65cm and head is 42cm!!!! and she made the comment that B wouldnt be on solids yet cause she isnt 6mths and i just said actually we have started them, and before u give me a lecture i am her mother and i know whats best for her - she also has total control of holding her head up, sits up nice and straight in high chair, watched us eat, copy's our mouth movements when eating and grabs for our food when she can, she was more than ready i think, and is coping so well on them! we have only tried rice cereal and potato, and teething rusks oh and i put a piece of apple in those mesh thingys the other day for her and she loved that!
However none of that has helped with her sleeping! maybe she is having another growth spurt? or maybe i stimulate her too much during the day playing with her that she finds sleep boring? hehehe
Its soooo good to hear how well Olive is doing! i cant believe she has a toothy peg! u so gotta put a pic of that up on here! so we can all gooo Awwwwww over it! :)
1stBub - how is Liam going on his solids?
Csab - how are u and V?
didi - im going to look into maybe joining a Curves if there is one near us after we move next week!
Leigh - give Lara cuddles for me!
-
Hollye - i lost 0.5grams this week! not quite my 1kg but close!!!
-
i didnt lose anything :(
Mia is pulling at her ears something shocking this morning. I can feel a real sharp but on her top gum.. so mayb a tooth???
-
-
Oh my gosh - look at Didi go!!!!
Holl - dont worry too much about not losing anything - at least u didnt gain!!!!!
and Oooooo i hope Mia gets a toothy peg soon!!! like i said to OM make sure u get a piccy of it!
-
but i have always been told they get their first tooth on the bottom?? tho Mia does do everything backwards. Shes asleep atm. Shes always asleep this time of the morning. Its werid how we are in a routine without even trying. Her sleeps are 9am, 12 and 3pm and she goes to be about 7-7:30 and rises 7-7:30am. this morning sleep usually only goes for 30 mins so i dont have much time.
