Hi Girls,
HJ - Poor little B, hope she gets better soon. She is such a clever girl saying mumma. DD1's first word was Dadda so I better start teaching Lara mumma so I can be her first word. Lara still doesnt have any teeth either.
Didi - Have fun going out for you friends b'day drinks.
Starry - Hope you enjoyed playgroup. Jbub might turn into an Olympic swimmer. How are you going keeping track of the sleeping?
Hope you all have a lovely day on Sunday. Do any of you know what you are getting? DH is working on Sunday so he has arranged for us and the kids to go stay somewhere tomorrow night and go out for dinner. Will be nice to get away, even if it is for 1 night. I went to DD1's kindergarten this morning for a Mothers Day morning tea, it was so nice. They made us scones and presents and gave us flowers.
Gotta go, have a great weekend!

Hi everyone,
I've been reading but have had no time to post with work.
Olive is doing really well. She is sitting so confidently and is basically crawling, she takes a few steps then moves into sitting possie. I'm so sick of these top teeth, after 3 glorious nights of sleeping through she is back to waking at least once or twice. Oh well we will get there eventually. Olive loves our bed but id definatly sleeping better in her cot. Work is ok but i'm pretty stressed ATM as my bosses are away and as the temporary authorised supervisor I look after the place and have to work some longer hours for a couple of weeks. The extra money will be good but I miss Olive so much.
Starry - Even though my DH doesn't do that much around the house I would miss him heaps if he went away. He looks after Olive 2 arvo's and 1 full day while I work so he is doing an amazing job with that. His hours are about to change though as he is switching to full time work so Olive will be going to FDC another day. It sucks in one way but in another it will be good as at the moment DH gets up for work at 2:45am! He is recovering from influenza ATM so him and Olive have been sleeping together for 2 hrs every arvo, i'm pretty jealous.
hj - I love it when Olive says mum mum, thats a lovely MD pressie. I think i'm getting a cookbook as I 'asked' Olive for a Jamie Oliver or Nigella Lawson one the other day. A bunch of flowers would be nice as well but we'll see, I won't push my luck.
Didi - Your a machine!!! I need to get back into WW. I have been really slack and it shows. I can't get away with the extra calories now that i'm not breastfeeding so will have to make more of an effort now.
Hollye - Are you or Mia getting weighed? Good luck either way.
Leigh - Hope you have a lovely night away!!!
Hi to everyone else, have a great Mother's day!!! Hope you all (me included) get spoiled rotton!
-
OM - me.. i lost 1.8 kilos this fortnight.
-
Hollye - well done!!! Good luck with your other tests.
-
morning all!
due to all the xcitement yesterday (I have another thread about it) jbaby did not sleep well last night at all! I did think he might crash all night but no....
have any of you had to have your babys blood taken yet? omg it was excruciating :wall: the nurse put an emla patch on him but then they couldnt find a vein, I couldnt watch, jman had to hold him down with the nurse while the doc basically just kept shoving the needle in until he found one, cue lots of screaming from poor jbaby..
and after all the waiting around for the emla to work, they used his other hand anyway, I was almost in tears, jbaby was osbbing his little heart out and even after he stopped crying he was still hitching his breath and sobbing every now and then for a good half hour afterwards, I felt sooooo bad!
I have a friend coming over today that I havent seen for a good 12 years, we found eachother on facebook and have been chatting, she was my best mate in primary school until my family moved and we lost contact. will be great to see her and her 2 kiddies.
so i suppose its a good thing to be up early, I have heaps of housework to do, didnt do anything at all yesterday, when we got home from the hospital Jbaby and I crashed out for a few hours, then had tea and went to bed.
hope you all have a good day, looking forward to tomorrow, first mums day and all that.

Congrats Hollye on your weight loss - that's great!!
OM - sorry you're still not getting much sleep.
I think our sleep drought may be broken...lol although i probably shouldn't say such things after only 2 good nights. heehee. But I FINALLY found a good dr!! A great dr. even. He's been in the area for a long time and i've heard his name a few times. i think i was lucky to get in to see him. After a week of having to 'air Liam out' after every nappy change and not much change in the infection, I got into this dr on Thursday. He took 1 look, said 'yep, this is what it is' (a bacterial infection, i forget what he called it though), 'it's not caused by anything he or you have or haven't done. Here's a script for some antibiotics, it should start clearing by the weekend, have him take it for 5-7 days and that's all.' *relief!!* Oh to have a good dr you trust who gets things FIXED! Liam's infection really has been pretty nasty. It's looking better today, and the 1st night after taking the antibiotics Liam slept from 11pm-6am - completely unheard of in the last month, and very rare in the last 2 months. Last night was about the same. Sleep is such a wonderful thing! :)
Sorry for the very few personals. Gotta go catch up on sleep while the little angel is down again.

Happy Mothers Day!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday and got spoilt. I got a lovely card, beautiful cookbook, chocolates and this months edition of Cosmo. We went out for brekkie with MIL and GMIL which was nice and got some flowers. I felt truely appreciated especially since I was up most of Saturday night as Olive has her first cold. DH did his share as well though and Olive did sleep a little bit better last night. I cooked a yummy meal out of my new cook book while DH played mum for a while. I made a yummy lime chicken dish with vegies and sun dried tomato mayo and for dessert plum custard tart with king Island cream - decitant I know.
Both are cars are in a bad way ATM. One is in the garage, then other needs to be cluth started each time! bloody cars!
Anyway just a quick one as I have to start work a little arlier for the next couple of weeks- 11:30 instead of 2 so I best be going before Olive wakes up.
Can't wait to read about how you all got spoilt!
-
hi all! Happy mums day to all you yummy mummies, I wont tell you about my day, less said the better....
was soo good to see my friend the other day, it was kinda surreal, felt like it was only last week that I saw her last not 15yrs ago! kept remembering she had 2 kids now, and I have 1 too! weird!!
anyway, am meeting a few girls from mums group today, as one of them cant make it to the library tomorrow, she is going thru a bit of a rough patch I think.
jbaby is asleep right now, hasnt been sleeping very well at night the last few days, I think the hospital experience has traumatised the poor love.
we actually have some sunshine today!! woohoo!! am sitting outside with my laptop trying to soak up what few rays I can!
have a great day!
xx
