Olivemummy- I see the pead this week again and go from there, we are also seeing a specialist for her throwing up all the time, but when babies put on weight even though they throw up lots they dont seem to be too concerned.. its only if they are not putting on weight.. So i am not too concered.

Hi everyone, HAPPY EASTER
Just a quick update as Olive is finally asleep. Well we spent most of the day at the hospital. Olive is still the same and so we went in to see if we could see a pead and find some answers. They basically said that we need to take it day by day and that Olive could be sick for another 3-4weeks yet. She also wants us to get tested incase we are carrying the bug and said that she doesn't want ot put Olive on AB. WE just have to see how she goes. I know we should feel lucky compared to some other illnesses parents go through but this is so stressful. Olive just cried and grizzled for our whole easter dinner thingy with my parents then we got home and she did her worst diarrhoea yet. So we had a bath etc but I am so tired of having a sick baby and I imagine she has had JS of it too. My supply has dropped to almost nothing due to strss so will probably start to wean now. I also don't know what will happen with work as Olive can't go to day care while she is infectious and not sure if I can either until I have been cleared. Arggg, it's times like this I miss having a ciggie!!! I had one wine at the dinner and man it was nice plus I have had way too much chololate today.
Olive's carseat has been turned around in mums car but haven't turned it in my car yet. She is fine with both.

Oh OM, this must be so hard for u. She hasnt been well for weeks now. AS much as u may feel like the worst mother right now and that its ur fault, its not. These babies are fast little critters, Mia puts everything in her mouth so she would have been right along side Olive licking the floor. I researched it abit before and seen there isnt much u can do for it. ALot of docs say antibiotics can make it worse but help it from spreading. Im sending huge amounts of healing vibes ur way xoxoxoxoxox
Whats everyones bubs doing with their food in relation to solids and bottles? Mia is having 2 solid meals a day and 5 bottles of about 100-180mls. She had risotto with vegies tonight, loved it :)

Didi - i hate to be a pain... but its bugging me. You status bar "Friends come and go in life, Family is their always!".... please change "their" to "there" lol
-
Hollye it's his bottom middle left, I think he's also getting his other bottom one as well has been very grizzly again today.
hugs xoxo

Any bubs out there sitting up on their own?
-
hey ladies, it really has been ages since I've been able to get on here. I've missed the other thread totally lol.
OM - you must be so worried about Olive. I'm sure the doctors would let you know if it was very serious but still it must be scarey.
Didi - Happy birthday hun for the other day. 28 is still spring chicken to me lol. Hope you had a good one.
Meara is going well. She is constantly gnawing on her fist so I'm thinking teeth are not too far off. She is growing well now and has chubby legs and belly and a double chin lol. I have started her on some fruit puree and she loves the pears. Will keep with that for a while. I haven't turned my carseat around yet as I haven't had her weighed for a couple of weeks but she doesn't seem worried by being backwards so will leave her that way for a bit. My bub is trying to pull herself up to sit now but once I put her there she doesn't stay and flops back over lol. How is everyone elses' doing?????
I'm glad to say that DD1 is getting better. She has put on weight and seems a bit happier. We have taken her mobile off her and stopped her using the internet and she seems ok with it. Her interest in horse riding is helping too as she is doing a lot of riding atm. I bought 2 ponies last week and she is going to help me get them ready to break in. They are for the younger kids to ride obviously as she is 5' 10" lol.
Hope everyone had a great easter and that everyone gets better soon
take care

Mia sat up 2 days ago by herself. I was so proud =) she lasted a whole 2.5 mins before she fell over. Shes so quick now with her crawling.. its so hard to keep her still and stop her from hurting herself (for eg, hitting her head on the tv unit). I need to start baby proofing me thinks. But i dont think there is much i can do about the TV unit...
Shes also standing holding onto things, like the couch etc. Shes always been strong on her legs and she loves her jolly jumper and her walker. SHe was just moving backwards on her walker but this past week she has moved forward =) oh so proud !
Kim - So glad DD1 is getting better, i was so worried. Tho shes not out of the woodwork yet but it sounds like you are doing a fantastic job will her  Awsome that Meara is nice and chubby and healthy. They just grow up sooo quickly. We have been talking about teeth in here this past week.. im abit stumped to whether Mia is teething.. shes been real cranky and clingy and i thought it might have been the cold she had but its not there anymore and shes still the same. hrmmmm i dunno???

Thanks Kim, had a brilliant birthday and lovely easter weekend!!!
Glad to hear bubba is getting better!

Liam's been sitting up for a couple of weeks now and has really good balance. He can stay up for like 10 mins, reaching for things, turning to see us etc without falling over. We just put a pillow behind him for if/when he fall backwards coz its not worth sitting with him anymore coz it can be so long before he falls. He's only just learned to roll over at about the same time tho. He's not quite crawling yet. He can move his knees but hasn't quite got the hand action going. To move forward he just collapses forward and hopes he can reach far enough to reach whatever he's after. :)
Hi to everyone. Sorry for no personals, just have heaps on, and so do you all so its a big job replying. :)

Hi Girls,
Kim - Great to hear from you. I am so glad DD1 is starting to get better. Your kids are so lucky getting ponies. Lara has been trying to pull herself up into the sitting position for a little while now too. She loves sitting. If she is laying down in the pram she tries her hardest to sit up so I have to adjust the back of the pram to the sitting position. I sit her on her play mat, with pillows propped around her, she can't sit by herself yet though. She isnt interested in crawling yet. DD1 never crawlled until 9 months though so I think Lara will be the same, doesnt bother me though coz I know once they start they dont stop and get into everything.
Hollye - I haven't thought of putting Lara in her walker yet, I must try her out.
DH is going away on Friday and wont be home til Tuesday, it is going to be a loooong weekend being home on my own with the two kids. Will be nice having the bed to myself though and no snoring!!
Gotta go, hi to everyone, sorry for the lack of personals.
-
1st Bub.. 10min sitting up is brilliant for his age!! Well done Liam!!
-
Julian is sort of sitting up, he likes to hold my hands to pull himself up. I have to usually do it either before a feed or about an hour after one as he will usually chuck up, even after the hour he will chuck some times :).

Hi Everyone,
Olive is doing better yesterday and today, hooray.
She has been drinking way better tonight and we have had no diarrhoea for over 24hrs (touch wood) and even had a couple of spoonfulls of pumpkin. She is also heaps happier which is great as I had my first full day of work today. I missed her like crazy!! but luckily got to spend an hour with her at lunch and have probably been paying her more attention TBH cause I don't take it for granted as much IYKWIM.
I have been slowly weaing since sunday and already got AF back today. Thought I would have a week or two. I am sad about giving up my bf journey but very proud of myself also for going for so long with all our issues. My baby was only 4 days off 6mths so I feel as though she has had a good start. Hopefully no2 will be easier. Speaking of next babies, anyone actively trying?
Olive is able to sit by herself for a couple of minutes with but is much more interested in trying to crawl and rolling everywhere. She can get anywhere just by rolling and is able to hold herself up but can't co-ordinate the action yet. Her top teeth are giving her grief and she has been loving chewing on her frozen teething toys.
Olive also really loves her storytime and so do I, especially when she's been sick and has just wanted to snuggle.
Happy belated b'day didi.
kim - glad DD1 is going better, oh I'm sooo not looking forward to having a teenager.

Just got back from emergency dep again. DH is getting his big industrial mower ready to sell and accidently inhaled degreaser. He's been coughing badlly non stop since, had really bad cold sweats, hard to breath etc. He's doing better now though. Liam didn't sleep a wink there with all the noise and fun new things to see. We'll all be tired tomorrow!
OM - that's so great to hear about Olive. They'll be 6 months on Friday, can you believe it??! We're going to the local library for storytime tomorrow with MG. Should be fun. Liam's not usually very snuggly, he just wants to MOVE. Typical boy. But he does reward us with lots of cute cheeky smiles. I'm hoping i get a snuggly one for my 2nd. :)
Thanks Didi. Don't know if i can claim much credit for Liam sitting tho. :) Think its just one of those things some happen to teach themselves earlier. Funny how they all develop at different levels. Even in so much as they'll be 'ahead' in some areas and 'behind' in others (for want of better terminology) all at the same time. Liam's really powered ahead in the motor skills lately tho. Quite fun to watch as he seems to learn something new every day.
Kim - really good to hear DD1 is doing better. We'll keep all our fingers and toes crossed for you that it keeps moving positively.
Hollye - sounds like Mia is doing really well. What an exciting time this is for all us mummies. 6 months rocks! :) (I'm so nervous about when Liam is fully mobile! Lord help us!! :) ).
Gotta go to bed. Eyes hanging out of my head. Night ladies!
-
Hey ladies!!!
Well i have given myself a present today I got my hair cut and colored. I mean cut cut SHORT SHORT.. i love it.
Have a great day everyone!
-
My little man is 6mths today, he had his first try of a rusk and I'll be trying him on rice cereal soonish, I brought some today at shopping along with some new bibs.....very cute.
-
Aw! congrats Julian on being 6 months and starting solids soon!!!
Didi - do you like your new cut? You've have to change your avvy. :)
Been pretty tired today after last night. Looking forward to good sleep and a quiet one tomorrow. My parents arrived today - yay!! Liam was exhausted after MG and visiting my nanna and poppy so he slept the whole time they were here (poor l'il guy) so they barely saw him. We'll have to make up for that. Hope you're all happy and your bubs are behaving themselves and being the little angels we know they are. :)
