Well dd is sprouting a 39.1 temp and i have been on the phone for almost 4 hrs to insurance trying to get a better deal!!! well so far saved $80 so better than nothing

I am going to buy formula tomorrow.
I gave a ;little more of BF a go and he coughs, chokes and splutters. So today i have exclusively EBM fed him and he is good. Going for regular 3 hr feeds with little vomitting... so ... there is only going to be so long i can ebm for guess.

    Teru - ta babe!

pead says Mia has severe reflux. He has put her on Losec and wants to see her again in 3 weeks. He said to keep her on s26 but not to bother with the reflux one as it wont do anything. So now shes is being medicated.. hopefully it helps. tho he said it wont do much for her spewing. fingerscrossed she atleast drinks abit more. Im keeping her on s26 but moving to the s26 GOLD so even if she does spew most of it up she can keep abit down and its got more goodness in it.

Hollye - good o for some answers, You know the losec will dissolve in a little water before you pop in the bottle

I am expressing during the day (BF last at night and first time in the AM)... bascially watching him struggle with the fast let down and lots of milk is distressing. He is much happier with the bottle. so i am expressing. He is having about 120ml every 3 hrs atm.

I am going to get some formula tomorrow as a back up in case i dont have milk one time.

Kat - doing all our insurance, managed to get it down by $80 so happy with that so far

    Teru - will post tomorrow

nah doesnt go in the bottle PP. I know it does break down in water and i have to give it to her with a syringe with 2mls of water. Do what is best for ethan hun and if thats putting him on formula just do it. U have been great giving him BM for so long and u should be mighty proud! I know when i was stuffing around with BFING, EMB and formula it becomes abit much. But yes, expressing too much does lower your supply dramatically. But it wont dry up. So even if u express and formula feed him and then try and go back to full bfing when hes abit older and he can handle it more? just throwing some idea;s out there.. i wish i was wtill BFIng

teru - lucky you thought to put something under Dragon at the last minute! Yeah it's awful BFing in this heat!!

I can barely keep up with the babies born thread sometimes so I dunno how I'd keep up with the cloth nappies thread. Probably by the time I finally get around to researching cloth nappies Maya will be using the loo!

Oh I used to sometimes go to the cinemas in Sunshine! Though I haven't been to the cinema now since September last year.

Hollye - That's great that you got an answer. I hope things get better.

PP - You've gotta do what's best for the two of you.

    Hi to everyone else!

Maya has been so unsettled the last couple of days. I'm thinking it's from the heat?!

Morning all... We went to the clinic yesterday & I had BJ weighed. He's 7.1kg! He's averaged 195g gain for the past 6 weeks. Though I know that he's only averaged 100g for the past 3 weeks. He's just not feeding properly. He fed at 6.30pm then woke crying at 6.15am. He fed for only 4 mins! You'd think he'd be starving after 12 hours. He's happily playing under his Gymni so he must be fine.

He went to bed at 7.45pm but woke at 10.30pm, which is not like him at all. I couldn't re settle him, though I didn't try real hard. I thought he must be hungry so I put him on & 2 mins later (when my milk let down) he fell asleep. I guess he just needed to be settled but cause he has never woken at that time I just didn't know what to do. I had only just got to sleep myself. I went to bed around 9.30am. After putting him straight back down I went straight back to bed and couldn't get back to sleep. So annoying. Just as I did, he woke again crying. This was around 11.30am. He re settled himself so I didn't need to get up but I was just imagining he was doing this for laughs. Then DH woke me when he got home from work at midnight, then again when he came to bed at 1am. Then finally peace & quiet. I still tossed & turned a fair bit but at least I got SOME sleep after that.

Oops.. Gotta go & change a exploda poo. BBL

oh geez, I've tried to post sooo many times *sigh* oh well hopefully this one will work!

PP - just wanted to say GL hun, it's tough trying to work out what's best for you both, but I'm sure whether you BF or express you can do it and make it work... and as others have said, if you express at least you leave the door open for getting back to BFing if you want. Plus your volumes sound great!

    Georgi - awesome weight gain!!

Tanya - I reckon the heat for sure, it's been stinky hot!

Hollye - oh I'm so glad you got some answers and hope the Losec work well for you and MIa.

Teru - hope things are going a bit better for you

    Katones - how's your gorgeous cloth-bummed boy?

SamiH - hey slacker, where are you?

Had our last "structured" mother's gropu yesterday, did baby massage which was fun. Then X was over-tired and I was really hoping I could get him to sleep on the mat there... pat pat... soothing voice... pat... and off he went . I was so thrilled, and he looked just beatific sleeping in the middle of all these mums & wide-awake babies. I really appreciate how lucky I am that he goes to sleep pretty easy, I dont' know how i'd cope if he was difficult in that way. I think I'm a spoilt mummy.
We're having a quiet week otherwise, catching up on housework & stuff, and staying out of the heat!!!

    Hi ladies,
Twins are fantastic they are the best babies ever. Sam is 6kg and Hana is 5.6kg. They smile and laugh and it won't be long before Hana rolls go girl. Sam just likes to lay their and watch his sister do all the work. The nurse said yesterday that Sam should be holding his headup better, he will when he is ready all children develop at different rates Love. Anyway I hope everyone is going really well.

You answered for me hun, so much trouble getting on when I want too, and then posting sucks, at least the random questions have gone, but whats all the stuff at the bottom now - usually I am very good with change, but I dont have the time to trawl forum info to find out.

Me too re the sleeping X/Z's - Z is good too, even at home he grizzles, I wrap, I cuddle and his eyes roll back without any crying so into the cot still awake and that's it Lucky ..... but heck I need it at the moment with school holidays and a part-time absent travelling husband - can you tell I feel a bit stressed

Hugs to you all - BBL when found out what this stuff is.

Hi all been a slacker and then when I go to post I can't or it won't, ahhh well given me time to do more things. Today and tomorrow I'll be getting the last things before kids go back to school next week, ah it will be bliss in my house again.

Hollye good to hear that you finally have some answers, hopefully the losec will help.

PP big , it's so trying to make the decisions that are best, but you know in yourself what will be best for you and E and if it's formula and do it, you are a great mummy and a wonderful person.

    hugs xoxo
