Kristie - that sounds like a great idea with work. That way you are in control & don't have to worry about staff etc. It must be a big relief to have made that decision.
Nice av Kerrie! :)
Hope you girls had a great meetup today!
Well, believe it or not - Emma took 5 minutes to fall asleep last night!! I am still in shock. In my head I feel really pleased with how it is going, I really didn't expect such fast results. So why the hell do I feel so lousy? :( I am on the verge of tears all day long. I feel so damn guilty!! Nikki - I think I need your advice!! I feel like I have got the best result possible, but I just feel like ****! I guess that too will pass. I hope so, because I can't stand feeling like this, I'd rather be tired...
-
Linda, I know how you are feeling. I too felt guilty when we started CC with Kat and then too with Jess. But seeing a baby who is happy and not grumpy because she is tired and having more energy to play and being in a better mood so you actually want to play and laugh with them is soooo worth it. I hope when she wakes up and gives you the biggest grin and giggles and plays with you! Maybe seeing how happy and undamaged she is will help you feel better? Oh I am no good at explaining things like this. I'm sorry if I have botched it. I am just saying that once you are both getting a full nights sleep with little if any interruption, she will be happier and so will you. And she will be greatdul for a rested and happy mum!
-
Hi!
Linda - You'll feel better soon I'm sure! There were times I felt like that with Louis but I honestly needed the rest so got over it pretty quickly - hehe. (does that make me sound mean? - hehe) I know it's horrible when you're doing it though....Thats great that she's taken to it so well though!!!
It is a relief to finally have a plan I'm happy with. It will mean things will be tight with money but for all the stress we're really not that much better off now! I know I definately do not want my waters breaking from teaching a class with the next bubba - hehe. I think I'll always feel a bit guilty for him coming a couple of weeks early. I know I'll never know if he would have anyway but I really don't think the little monster was quite ready....
-
CIndy and Nikki I had an awesome morning with you both and Jordan had a great time with the girls. He was knackered on the way home and was asleep the entire way home.
Nikki Chantelle was just gorgeous with all the kisses she gave Jordan and Cindy, Tori is the cleverest little girl, with her walking with the coffee table.
Kristie sorry you werent feeling well we will see you soon though. GLad to see you have worked out a better work schedule.
Linda I hope you start to feel better soon. You are doing a fabulous job with Emma and you should feel proud of yourself for raising such a happy and smart little girl.
Kell Hope that WIll and Molly are doing well.
Kirstie how are you and Gus doing?
Kerrie how is everything in your household?
Hope everyone gets a good night sleep
-
Hi Tracey!
Gorgeous piccie by the way - I'm so sorry I missed you guys but glad you had a great time!
Poor Louis was so grumpy at work and just wanted his mummy, but obviouly couldn't....I felt so bad because he just doesn't feel well. He didn't want to go to bed tonight so was up until 9pm! I hope that means he'll sleep well (not holding my breath)
Sweet dreams everyone!
-
Kristie - Sorry I didnt get back to you with your message, I'm sorry to hear you guys arent well though, i have my fingers crossed for you that louis decides to sleep well tonight for you!!
Tracey and Nikki - As usual, it was great to catch up with you gals and bubs. I swear it feels like I have know you guys for ages the way we natter on about everything! Tori was worn out from all the playing today and had a 3 hour sleep this arvo so I got a nap too which was great but then I bought her to bed with me for cuddles and I must have dozed off when mother of the year (thats me - Not) hears a thud and my princess crying as she had fallen off the bed yet again. That is twice in one day!! I am very glad that the bed is only about 30cm from the ground to mattress but even still it gives her a big old fright!
Linda - you are doing fantastically, Emma has taken to CC really well by the sounds of it and hopefully for your sake it will continue and you can get some more rest and start to feel a bit more like you again! I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling so down at the moment, its just not fun!
Well, I am off to bed, the princess has just gone down again and i love it when its this late coz I actualy get some sleep instead of her waking just after I get to bed!I have to somehow get into the swing of going to bed earlier, I'm such a night owl though.
-
Well last night was pretty awful. Jordan cut his right top tooth last night and he was up from 3.30am till 5am. When my alarm went off at 6am I rolled over and went back to sleep, no work for me I was too tired.
We dont normally have bad nights so I can only empathise with anyone who has interupted sleeps most nights.
Cindy I hope Tori slept well for you. OOPS about her falling off the bed. It happens though so dont feel too bad.
Kristie Poor Louis feeling sick and wanting his mum! I am sure he got plenty of cuddles once you had finished work. Hope you are both feeling better.
Today is a slack day although Jordan is all over the shop, He had 1/2 hr nap this morning I just gave him some lunch and I have put him back to bed??? I think he is still knackered himself from last night. Hopefully he wont be too out of sorts as we have to babysit our friends kids tonight at their place so he will be sleeping in the portacot.
Have a great day everyone, wish the wind would ease up and I could take Jordan to the park. Its awful at the moment

Hi!
We had a shocker here as well. Louis was really unsettled and then at around 12.30am decided he would like to scream. If I tried to cuddle him he would thrash all around and was just not happy. Eventually he settled when I was walking with him but when I went to lie down he would scream again. I eventually got some sleep sitting up on the couch with him! So after a few hours of broken sleep he started up again at 5am! Dh's alarm went off and I handed him over because I was ready to go crazy! Dh let him cry it out and he went to sleep until just after 8am so at least I got a few hours in uninterrupted. He's still quite sick today but at least had about an 1 1/2-2 sleep this morning which is good.
I really should be doing work but I haven't even showered yet - I can't be bothered doing anything and the house is a pigsty!
Cindy - No worries! I hope you got a good nights sleep in!
Tracey - Sorry to hear you had a shocker as well. I don't blame you for not going to work today!
Ooh some other news for us - we have decided that we are going to move to the country!!! Not just yet but when we're ready to buy our next house we're going to move up to Bonnie Doon/Mansfield area...a major lifestyle change but I think it will be great. Hopefully doing a Nikki and buying land to build on....Dh would have work with his dad and so I definately wouldn't have to worry about having to work myself! Anyway I'm a bit excited even though it's at least 12m off. It's kind of scary though as well as I haven't lived anywhere else really. But I figure if we don't like it we can always just come back.
Have a great day!
-
melissa, kerry, kell, donella and kirstie, how are you all traveling?
linda, how are you and em going, are you getting some good results yet, dont worry,i cried non stop for 3 days and thought i was getting a touch of depression,it will pass and get easier.promise.

kristie, hope you and louis are getting better, rest up love you need it.
chantelle has teeth, explains the fever the other day,i have been checking regularily and couldnt see any but have just realised i was looking in the wrong places, she is cutting the top 2 next to the front,my boys cut there teeth in the right order so i am suprised that she isnt cutting the front four first, hope this is normal.needless to say...yippee!!!!

Hi!
Louis slept through last night! Woohoo. He hasn't in about a week so that was nice - especially after the other night. He's sooo clingy through the day though at the moment with his cold. I so don't want to take him to childcare today but I don't have a choice....grrr.
Nikki - Wow on Chantelles teeth!!! I must say I've only been looking at the bottom of his mouth...I'll have to have a look later (although I'm pretty sure there's no sign of any of them! hehe) From what I've heard it doesn't really matter what order they come in...Cindy would probaby know!
Hi to everyone!
-
Hi to all!
Nikki - travelling along nicely here. I just dont know where the days go atm, i cant believe its thursday already  How are you feeling?
Kristie - poor Louis, i hope he feels better soon, it is so heartbreaking when they are sick. You have been making some exciting decisions too, moving and downsizing work, heres hoping it goes very smoothly *fingers crossed*
Tracey - hope Jordan went ok in the portacot, Will doesnt like them much grrr
Kerrie - You must love watching the girls play together, Molly loves to play with Will and he just adores her but she gets a bit rough sometimes
had a weigh in this week, 12.2 kg 79cm and 50 head circ. so all well there. My birthday next week, YAY 27 this year ( I had to double check with DH i couldnt remember LOL)and it's my mums the day b4 she will be 51 so we have a week of bday cake coming up mmmm :) I have made the move back to cloth nappies, i bought some new covers etc and i am actually really enjoying it. Otherwise not much news here, ooo i did put in my application for uni, should hear next month yay!
Cheers
-
Hi!
Kell - I so agree with you on the time flying!! It's crazy! Dh tells me not to get excited about the move yet but when I think of finishing up work and having another baby before we do it we will be so busy that it will go so quickly! and there would be so much to organise!
Wow Will is so big!!! Glad that he's going so well. Yeah on your and your mums b'days next week. mmmhhhh....cake....!
Glad that the move to cloth is going so well! You're a brave girl!! The way Louis' backside it I wouldn't dare!hehehe.
-
would you believe Emma didn't even cry last night when I put her down? I'm still in shock. she hasn't been up ONCE through the night since we made the changes. She has taken to it SO well. I am getting more used to it too. still emotional, but it is getting better. I feel so bloody silly getting so uptight about this all. It has jsut been a really hard adjustment for me.
Kell - I'm going cloth with you mate!! :D I'm so excited!! HAve a few on order & in the meantime have only been using cloth (terrys) during the day & disp at night.
Nikki - thanks, I am feeling a little better each day. Will get there. HOpe those teeth don't cause too much trouble. I have heard of them coming in that order too.
Kristie - poor Louis. Hope he goes well in child care. He will probably be fine once he is there.
-
Hi!
Linda - so glad Emmas sleeping so well for you
GUESS WHAT????
I did a test and its a BFP!!!!!!!!!
I felt a bit queasy this morning and over lunch and just thought I'd test as I've been sick (I got a bad flu when I fell p/g with Louis)
I can't believe it!!!! I'm so excited and a bit scared!!
Geez Nikki I'm not too far behind you!! hehehe.
I'm a bit nervous though because I've been working out at the gym and even the instructor the other day asked if we were p/g and we all said no because the workout was so hard.....I hope my new little bubbas ok in there! hehehe
At work all afternoon will catch up with everyone later!!
-
OMG!!!!!! Wow Kristie!!! That's awesome!!!! OOhhhh - I'm so excited for you!!!! :D :D :D
-
Congratulations Kristie!!!:happyforyou: How exciting. Do you know how far you are?
And Linda- that's so good that Emma's taken to sleeping through so quickly. It must be such a relief. Don't feel guilty - like the others have said, in the long run it's better that she has a relaxed and not over-tired mummy!
Dylan is going through a phase where he doesn't like other people. He used to smile at absolutely everyone and people in shops were always commenting on how happy he was. Now he just stares at them as though they're from another planet! Some people (including his poppy) he actually cries at too when they look at him. I hope this phase doesn't last long - I miss my little social butterfly!
We went to Kindermusik today so he's exhausted and having a great sleep now.
-
Oh Kristie YAY :happyforyou: thats fantastic!!
Linda - Dont feel bad for feeling uptight and anxious, all mothers do at some point or other. Emma is obviously doing really well, and it has had no adverse effect on her and remember you are giving her the gift of a rested mum :) We are using terry's atm too, i have ordered some pockets tho hopefully will arrive next week. Still disp. at night tho.
Krsitie - dont worry about the gym, i dont think i know anyone who has found out they are pg and havent thought oops about something they have done b4 finding out :)
Dee - just a phase i would say, most bubs go thru a clingy 'stranger danger' phase which passes soon.
-
Kristie- OMG!!! Congratulations!!!I cant believe how fast it happened for you. How far do you think you are?
Well I have some news too, I went and confirmed my work hours and pay today and I start monday week which is great.
However...... After talking to Nikki on Tuesday about my period not having arrived, I thought I would get a test just so I would know and I got the fastest and strongest BFP I have ever seen. So Kristie dear, Looks like we will be having babies around the same time again.
I have already made an appt with the doctor for tomorrow as I have no idea when I think about it when I had my last period, I could be anywhere up to 12 weeks really. My head is still realing from it and I am dying to tell people but will be holding off untill the good old 14 weeks. Thank god for you girls!!I am in total shock as we were so not trying but hey its meant to be aparently. I hope I get to have an ultrasound tomorrow. Mum is busy all day so it will be easy to avoid her and her not to find out I'm even going to the doctors! I cant believe I am having another bloody baby before the other will be out of nappies!!! There goes the house buying idea for the moment and we will definately have to get out of mums before bub #2 comes along!
Sorry for the rambling!!! Its all just coming out. I so need to tell people so I can talk about it.
Will check in with you all later when my head is a touch clearer.
-
OMG!!!! 2 in 1 day!!! This is getting crazy!!!! Congrats Cindy!!!! :D Wowweee I just can't believe it!!!
I feel a bit left out LOL. Better start DTD a bit more. ;)
-

CIndy and Kristie CONGRATULATIONS. I am so excited for you both. WOW all these October babies will be getting new brothers or sisters soon! How excellent that you both will be pregnant and due around the same time again.
Linda WOW great news about Ems sleeping. I am glad you are starting to feel better.
Kell Will is doing so well. What a cutie.
Donella I think it normal about this age for bubs to get a little weiry of other people. I am sure he will grow out of it.
Well this weekend is my 10 yr anniversary with DH (get together anniversary) and he told me today he is taking me away for the weekend. He wont tell me where but I have to pack tonight for us all as we are leaving straight after work tomorrow. How exciting. He even called my boss a couple weeks ago to arrnage anual leave for me. What a sweety. I will tell you all about it when we get back.
To Nikki, Cindy and Kristie HELLO LITTLE BUBBAS, hope you dont give mum to much grief in there. WOW I cant beleive we now have 3 pregnancies.
-
Ooh - how exciting Tracey!! Have a great time wherever you go!
BTW - Love your ticker photo!

Dee - Im with you i hope its not in the water LOL
Tracey - have a nice weekend, what a sweetie to organise this for you!
-
Hi!
It was so hard to get through work all afternoon and not daydream about a new bubba! hehehe. My mind so wasn't on the job - I just wanted to tell everyone but of course didn't.
I just called Cindy when I read her post - I was so excited!!!! hehehe.
Cindy - A big congratulations to you as well!!! By the sounds of it you'll be heaps further along than me! I can't wait to hear. You'll have to post straight away or text me!! hehe. Congrats on the work as well!
Thanks for all your well wishes! It means so much! It is so great to be able to share news with you all!!!
I'm pretty sure I'm only just p/g. I did a test on the 4th and it was a neg so I suppose I could be 4 or 5 weeks along. I'm off to the dr's tomorrow morning to get a referral for a scan so hopefully I'll find out soon.
Donella - Louis is going through a funny clingy stage at the moment and the other day when Michaels cousin picked him up he just looked at me and started crying!! So I assume it's just this age.
Tracey - Wow what a great dh!!! I hope you have an amazing time and I can't wait to hear all about it!
Hi to everyone else and thanks again!!
-
OMG! Congrats to the new mum's to be
Work is driving me nuts! Only because I run on 3 - 5 hours sleep, thanks to our dear little boy Benjamin and his daddy's car which decided to die on the way to work this morning again for the 3rd time this week. I have no way of getting to work tonight so I'll be staying home.
Benjamin looks like he's got fangs at the moment, and has been taking the oportunity to test them out on my nipples. OUCH!
I hope you are all doing well otherwise?
Melissa
-
Congratulations Kristie and Cindy! I can't believe so many October mums are already having more, it's so exciting! :)
-
hi fenella.wow it is good to hear from you,how is tasmin going.
is she settling in her cot okay for you now.
what is she up to as far as milestones go,teeth, crawling etc.how are you coping with motherhood, sorry, been along time since we have had a good chat,
nikki
-
look,i got a new ticker......
nikki
-
Hi!
Melissa - That would be driving me crazy! There's no way I could function like that! Louis was up at 3.40am and dh got him back to sleep at about 5.30am so luckily I got another couple of hours sleep in. I"m so tired today though!
Fenella - Good to hear from you!!! How is little Tamsin going?
Nikki - An absolute gorgeous piccie of Chantelle!
Well I went to the dr today for a referral and I'm booked in for a scan on the 28th so will know more then....
-
Love the pic Nikki!
I'm going okay, back at work 3 days a week so I feel busy (I don't know how people can go back to full time) but it's good. Tamsin still wakes about every 2 hours at night, but we're co-sleeping, and usually a feed (or sometimes a nappy change too - DH does those) will put her back to sleep pretty fast. Other than that, she's a happy little girl, crawling everywhere, and has worked out how to cruise (very slowly so far) and get cupboards open...
Sorry for lack of personals, I have trouble keeping up with you all :)
-
Just a quick one from me tonight, I am buggered, had a massive day and a baby that looks like is only having one sleep a day at the moment. Not fun! She is getting better at night though, slept 12 hours the last two nights but was up twice both times but I am giving her formula in the wee hours of the morning which seems to do the trick at the moment.
I went to the doctors today and he did bloods, got the results this arvo and my levels of HCG tell us that we I am only about 6 weeks along, I thought it would be way further but no. Now though I am stressing and dont want to tell anyone incase anything happens (this is how I was last time too after having had the miscarriage before tori) and I am trying to not get to excited about it all untill I hit the 12 week mark atleast! On the other hand though, I cant stop thinking about it and am hanging to have an ultrasound done. My dr says to hold off untill we hit 12 weeks though.
Fanella- good to see you back in here, you must be worn out with such broken sleep and working 3 days!
Well, I am off..... Time for a hot chocolate and bed I'm thinking! All this thinking and exctitement is wearing me out. Oh yeah, my calculations tell me I will be due in April, around DP's birthday
-
Hi!
Fenella - What a bugger you're still having such a broken sleep - I hope she settles down for you soon!
Cindy - Wow! How weird is it that we may be due around the same time again!!! hehehe. Thats poo they won't let you have a scan until 12 weeks! I thought the range of hcg levels could vary hugely so it makes me wonder how accurate in telling you how far along you are is.....
Louis woke at 10pm last night with a poo but then wouldn't go back to sleep but he was ok so we had to cc him. It took ages but then he slept through so it was worth it. I felt a bit guilty because he's sick but if I picked him up he would close his eyes instantly so I knew he wasn't in pain....Anyway at least I got a good nights sleep after that!
Gotta rush - have a good weekend everyone!
-
Hi Ladies
well we are back from BRIGHT, it was so lovely. DH took us to Brown Brothers winery, he is a huge fan of their wine and we ended up spending $600.00 on wine, not all for us though which is good.
Poor Jordan has an ear infection. I had to leave work friday morning as MIL said he was miserable, wouldnt eat and couldnt be put down. I got there and he was so pleased to see my however he was running a temp. Off to the docs and they confirmed an ear infection.
He was [pretty good on the drive up however he threw up a bit, he didnt eat at all friday only had boobs. Saturday (day) he was great but at night it turned pear shaped. He was up from 1.30am to 4.50am. Both DH and I were losoing it as we had people staying in the next cabin so they would have heard everything. He finally settled after DH took him into the shower at 4.30am.
He slept 2 1/2 hrs on the way home today which was good but when we went to put him to bed tonight he screamed again. It took a good hour to settle him which is SO unlike him. I hope this passes as I was getting really impatient with him and I hate that.
Anyways good to see the new mums to be are doing well.
Fenella good to see Tasmin is well. Hope to see you more often.
Take care catch up tomorrow. Hopefully Jordan will be ok for my mum or another sickie will be taken. I hope work arent to ****ty with me but Jordan is top priority!
-
Tracey - the weekend away sounds lovely. Sorry Jordan was sick though. :(
Fenella - it's great to hear from you! Glad all is well!
Emma has a bit of a cold ATM. So on Saturday night the 'rules' went out the window & she ended up in our bed, it was nice ;) But last night she went down no problems again which was great.
-
Morning!
Tracey - sounds like a great weekend away, sorry to hear about Jordan tho - hope he feels better soon.
Linda - Will is a bit off atm too, i think it is teeth tho. he is just a bit out of sorts but last night he was running a temp and grizzly - seems better today tho. Hope Emma kicks it soon :)
Cindy - i hope tori's sleep improves for you, you need your rest atm LOL.
Hi to everyone else :hello:
It is my mum's bday today and mine tomorrow so we had lunch together yesterday (one of my sis's, her dh mum and us). we bought fish and chips and sat in the back yard here under the willow tree, it was such a nice day! Will had already eaten his lunch but when he saw the chips his eyes lit up LOL and he kept trying to grab the paper and pull it towards him it was cute. Every time he did it we all would laugh so he thought that was great and he was laughing and pulling paper having a wonderful time - it was very cute :D This is such a cute age dont u think? they are soaking up so much information and are just delightful :)
Have a nice day...
-
Kell - Happy birthday for tomorrow!! It sounds like you had a great day today, sounds very nice!
Tracey - you had a good weekend didnt you! Poor munchkin and his earache though. It so frustrating when they are in pain and cant tell you what the problem is isnt it!
Well, I have a grunpy bub at the moment too, she has a rash which the doctors think is viral but nothing to worry about, just keep her home for a few days etc... Looks like i might catch up on some sleep and reading before my work starts next week!
I'm off anyway, I havent even thought about tea and I am starving, not to mention the screaming bub in the background which DP is ignoring but it is driving me bananas!!
Hope you are all well and had great weekends
-
Cindy - I hope the rash clears up soon!
Kell - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow & get spoilt rotten!!!
All's well here. Got some new cloth nappies in the mail today so that was exciting!!
I have updated Emma's website if you want to have a look. :)
