Well we had another good night. Jazz had a bottle a 10pm then again at 1.15am then again at 4.30am and at 7.30am. Not bad I slept really well in between!! Shes pretty much a 3 hourly girl.
Weighed her today.......shes exactly 2 weeks and weighs 3.900gms exactly. When we left hospital she weighed 3.405gm so thats 495gms in 2 weeks!! WTG!! SOunds like all our bubs are gaining pretty nicely ;)
-
Thank you all for your support. Tom had a much better night last night, waking 4 hourly and resettling within 45 minutes each time. I got some deep sleep and feel much better for it. He was unsettled again this morning but has now gone to sleep. I think we are through the worst of it. I think a 6 week growth spurt together with his tendency to be a bit colicy were the problems. MIL has been better now that Tom is crying less. A couple of days ago when Tom was feeding every hour or so during the day she told me I was "insane" and it was wrong to keep feeding him, that was the cause of the problems. I told her that growth spurts like that were normal and it would pass in a couple of days. Thank goodness it did so she can't say "I told you so" and continue to be narky and critical!!
Tegan and Kate, I hope things improve for you really soon. How awful Kate that you look like having to go through reflux again. Did the Zantac help Kelsey much? How is she sleeping through the night? Does Rylee wake her? Tom has only woken Jack once thank goodness. Tegan, our first was a great sleeper too so I can understand what a shock this must be for you. I hope your appt today goes really well.
Kathryn and Emma, sorry to hear that your nights weren't so good. I hope this trend of problem nights doesn't continue.
Marion, Kirsty, Emma, well done on the fabulous weight gains. I think all our bubs are gaining well.
LOL Kate at Tom's weight being the same as Rylee's birth weight! I feel for you having to carry Kelsey around at 13kgs. Jack is older and only 11kgs and he is heavy enough!! Especially when I'm holding Tom as well! I was pushing the pram up a steep hill the other day with both boys in and it was hard work. It occured to me that with the pram weight as well I must have been pusing over 25 kgs. So much for joining a gym!!
-
Glad to hear you had a good night Kristy
I did also Jax had a bottle at 9pm then slept right through
till 5 am:eek: what a champ it was great as i went out on the monday night and didnt much sleep at all:rolleyes:
Emma thats a great weight gain for gaby:)
Kate I hope you get things sorted soon with rylees reflux so you can get some sleep, have you put her on the AR formula or are you BF?? Jax was throwing up heaps after his bottles but he is now on the AR and is fine sometimes he just spews a little bit and he sleeps with his bed proped up cause when he lays flat he screams at night
Tegan I hope things get better for you soon and you get some sleep you poor thing
-
We've had such an unsettled morning. Jazz has cried pretty much whenever I'm not holding her!LOL! I've finally got her to sleep but shes on her tummy.....argh, Gem was a tummy bub to, totally against what they say to do to prevent sids but what can you do!! Luckily when she does go into her own room we have a monitor with a camera, hence why when they are in their own room I never get any sleep as I'm to busy watching them on the t.v screen!PMSL! I used to do that with gemma!!
WOw on that long sleep Britney!! Holy cow he sleeps well. I can only hope Jasmine will to.
Owww Melanie if your MIL was mine I'd think I would ahve slapped her by now!
Hmmm Emma I think Gab and Jazz are twins!LOL! They are pretty much spot on with their weight gains!!
-
Kate hope Rylee settles for you.
Kathryn hope Aston settles for you too.
Well Katelyn has been good taking her eye drops like a good girl its slowly starting to clear up. She is still stuffy in her nose at night but the nose drops seem to help as well.
Think I have been lucky this time because she is a good little girl eats, poos and sleeps has her wakeful hours but she just lies in her bassinett or on your lap and looks around. sorry to all those girls who are having problems with their bubs.
Had her weighed again on monday she put 450grams on in the week, she is breastfeeding really well.
-
450gms in a week Ally!!WOW!!! And shes b/f! What a champ!!
-
Emma - Kirsten looks a lot like Gaby, but smaller...I must get around to putting a pic up soon!

HI Ladies
I just wanted to say congrats on your little bundles of joy. I cant beleive that 1 year ago my little tacker arrived. I have Oct bub 2005.
How time flies
-
omg, he is finally asleep and so is Lily! So i'm going to get some much needed rest before he wakes up. I had the implanon inserted today. It hurts a lot now that the anesthetic has worn off, owie. Have a big bruise there too. Oh well, at least i won't have to worry about another newborn for at least 3 years. Don't think i could handle this again anytime soon.
Kate, you say you think Rylee has reflux? What are her symptoms? She sounds a lot like Charlie.
-
Ooops I've been all over BB today and totally forgot to post in here!
We've had a good morning....much more settled than yesterday. Have you all seen the birth announcements!?!?! Yay Christy!WTG!!
Apart from that I'm just fluffing around the place!PMSL!
-
Forgot about parents groups, might have to go with this one and November for my due date one
-
ah thanks Kate didnt realise :)
Hope you get a good sleep
-
Belinda, no worries about it at all, I am on the ball tonight LOL. So your details are on the front page already.
-
Ah i was too fast lol and just emailed them to Kathryn
Yah to you being so fast tonight and thanks :)
-
Tom had his 6 week check up with the paediatrician today. He weighed in at 4.65 kgs or 10 lb 4 oz and 55cm long. All is well but I'm exhausted as I've been out all day. So it's my bedtime already!! We had another good night last night, he woke every 4 or 4.5 hours which isn't too bad.
Hope all is well with everyone else.
Isn't it wonderful about Christy.
-
Glad the check up went well Melanie
And yes great news about Christy :)
-
After all I said Kirsten doesn't look like Gaby in this pic..but she does in real life with her eyes open!

Kate, well i don't think Charlie has reflux then because he hardly ever spews and if he does it such a small amount. But he is constantly screaming and hates laying down, so i dunno. I don't think its colic now either because he does seem to bring up wind ok now. Im at a loss.
-
Jack is a huge grunter Emma
-
Morning girls.
Our night was good last night only up twice which is standard. It was officially Ashton's due date yesterday, 4wks has gone by so quickly bet it woudlnt' have gone that quick had I still be pregnant LOL.
He has slight conjuncitivits but apart from that nothing really else to report about him. Just laying there awake in Lachlan's old rocker watching the world go by.

It's Kirsten's due date today!
Hoping for a good night tonight...she has just fed for almost 3 hours non stop, must have had over 200mls..she keeps falling asleep but every time I put her in her Moses basket she wakes up and seems hungry!!
Will leave her to settle for a bit as I think that she has actually overeaten a bit and will be sick!!
Emma - she is also a very noisy sleeper, sounds like she is choking a lot of the time..but we have asked the midwives and health visitors about it, and they weren't worried..and she did it in front of the GP, who didn't even notice, and my friend who is a health visitor said it was totally normal..so I was finally reassured!!!
-
Happy due date Kirsten !!!

Morning
have a noisy sleeper here too
Cooper is 2 weeks old today, cant believe it really, gone so fast
I am tempted to take them out to shops today but i dont know, have money to spend but dont know if i am that keen to do it as yet!
Tegan: could you just have a hungry baby, i know with Mason we thought it was a wind pains etc but he was just a really hungry baby, and Cooper is exactly the same, he will feed sometimes every 2 hours during the day, and wants a top up feed an hour or so after one bottle a day, he does spew some of it back up on occasion as he is probally taking a little too much but he isnt screaming so worth a little bit of sick to keep him happy, anyhow just a thought, might not be that at all too :)
-
Well we had a good night. Had a few glasses of wine last night and boy did I sleep well!LOL! Jazz was up 3 hourly. Jasmine is noisy as shes falling asleep, grunting and sighing as she drifts off.
Geez Kate I feel awful that Rylee has reflux. It must be awful. Poor little sausage. I hope the acupuncture helps her.
I know how you feel Belinda. I'm desperate to get out of the house but am a little apprehensive with both girls!LOL!
Hey to everyone else............Jazz is waking up.............Its rainy and cold here and its making her hungrier than normal........owwww just heard a bottom burp .........better go and do a nappy check!PMSL!!
-
yes its just the process of it all i think that i dread, usually i can just chuck Mason is and take nothing for him, i didnt take much with me when he was a baby either, i hate dragging nappy bags around with me, so would just take a nappy and change mat in a small bag and change of clothes, have to buy a new small bag for Cooper now too
-
Thats great Kate that Rylee didn't cry!! I really hope it helps.
Just wanted to say out loud...........................I LOVE BEING A MUMMY!! Don't think I said this before but since we've had Jazz, Gemma has really blossomed. She now plays happily and is just such a happier little girl. Even daycare have commented to me on how she is ALWAYS in such high spirits now.
Life doesn't get much better then this does it...........hanging out with my girls on a beautiful rainy day!!! Pure bliss!
-
Hi everyone,
Poor little katelyn is still sick with a cold spoke to doctor today and he said it would be ok to give her some panadol a few days before she turns 4 weeks can't handle the poor little muppet being sick.
-
Well....Kirsten slept through last night and we had to wake her up after 6 hours!
She fed for 2.5 hours from 9.30pm and must have taken nearly 200ml, then went to bed at midnight. We woke at 6am and thought we'd better wake her for a feed.
We had been setting an alarm to make sure she fed enough as she is only due today but had stopped as she was waking herself during night! We will have to start again, will ask my health visitor friend's advice today!
Hope this means she will sleep through when a bit bigger!!!

LOL at having the first time away from Gab Emma! I am like that to, totally clingy with the girls. Just before I had Jazz I was admitted to hospital overnight for a bad bladder infection and when they told me I had to stay overnight, away from Gemma, I cried! I blamed it on pregnancy hormones at the time, but the truth is I cannot stand to be away from her!!
We had a good night again, up 3 hourly and we've cut it down to 30mins now, bottle, half way nappy change, more bottle, burping in between and down again. Corey is taking miss Gemma to see his dad this afternoon so I can sleep without fear of having my face drawn on in pen by Gemma while I nap!LOL! SHes obsessed with pens at the moment!
I was feeding Jazz this morning and Gem was cracking up. I knew she was getting tired so I tried to hurry and the next thing I know shes asleep on the rug in the living room hugging her baby!
-
Well we had a better night last night, finally. Charlie slept for about 4 hours. Can't believe he is 1 month old today! I signed up for the gym yesterday so I can try get back to pre-pregnancy weight.
-
YAY Charlie!!!!!Woohoo Tegan I bet your starting to feel kinda normal after that amount of sleep! I'm about to join the gym to, but Corey's made me promise I won't go till after my 6 wk check as after a c/s your supposed to wait that long, but I feel great, just damn flabby! My boobs and tummy are looking seriously sad! This maybe TMI but I swear my boobs look like they belong to one of those women you see on the national geographic channel!LOL!To much sag!
-
Hi everyone!!!
Katelyn's eyes seem to have cleared up but she is still very blocked up with her cold and has a nasty cough now. spoke to my OB and he said it would be fine to give her a little bit of panadol but it went straight through her. He said if she is no better over the weekend to take her back to the peaditrician for him to have a look at her. She is feeding well still which is a relief (she's a little piggy when it comes to feeding) had problems BF with my DS its good to have a baby that feeds well.
-
Kate, I hope Rylee sleeps really well tonight and have fun at your dads birthday party!!
Emma-LOVE your new av!! Looking good! Gab and Jazz do seem eerily similar!LOL!
Ally-I hope Katelyn gets better soon. I hope the panadol gives her some relief too.
Tegan-I hopw Charlie has another good nights sleep and you too!
Marion-Kirsten is sleeping so well. I can't believe it! I hope Jazz sleeps that well soon.
Belinda-Did you end up hitting the shops???
Kathryn-Hmmm I suppose your busy......hehehe I guess you do have 3 boys!LOL!

Hi all. I am finding it difficult at the moment to get time to sign on to BB. When I do, I am usually eating while I catch up on everyone's news and it's too hard to type to reply. Hopefully things will settle down next week although MIL leaves on Monday (and despite being a PITA in some regards she has been helpful by doing washing etc) and my Dad arrives on Wed. BIL has been here this week too and he leaves tomorrow so it's a bit like a halfway house here atm. Anyway, I am wanting to go off to bed now so I'll skip personals and try and catch up tomorrow.
Tom is still a lot more settled and sleeping 4 to 4.5 hours at a time at night so this is good.
We went to a first birthday party today for our friends' little boy who was born at 24 weeks. It's so amazing that he's doing so well. There were a few months there where his parents didn't believe they'd ever be celebrating a birthday.
Kate, a friend was telling me the other day about a book she's reading which is about food allergies and intolerances. It says that it takes 6 weeks to get most things out of your system so this is the minimum time that you have to give something up before you can tell if it's making a difference or not. I'm not sure if that's true but I thought I'd share so you can decide. I nearly gave up dairy when Tom was crying so much but luckily he seems much better now as I really love my dairy!!
Hopefully I'll have more time tomorrow.....
-
WTG Tom on the sleeping!! I totally understand Melanie about having limited time. You ahve to look after yourself first and yup eating is a high priority in my books!LOL!
Hey to Birtney and everyone else I've missed.......its late(well late to me) and I'm a bit of a bumble brain...........
Had to cut my post short before as Jazz is a bit unsettled and I think I've figured out why. Our jug has just crapped itself and is not boiling properly so the poor mite has been getting half boiled water!EEkkkk! Explains the sore tummy shes got! Damn I'm an idiot!
-
Oh what an aweful day we've had! Poor Charlie just couldn't settle today. First he was wet, so changed him, then he was hungry, so fed him, then he had wind, but couldnt bring it up so cried because he was in pain, then he was over tired, then he was hungry again but because he was crying/screaming so much he just wouldn't take it. Wouldn't even take his dummy. Then Jacob took over and sat in the lounge and watched the car racing. Soon as he turned it on charlie stopped crying, typical males! But then he was crying again, so I wrapped him up in his blankie(which normally he hates) and he fell straight asleep! He slept for about 3 hours. But the crying had been going on since 10am-6pm. What a nightmare.
Going to the doctors next week to see if he does have reflux. I think he might because tonight it sounded like he brought up somethign and then it went back down again and he cried so much.
Oh forgot to say though, Charlie gave his first smile on Thursday. So cute! I just love it when their whole face just lights up like that. Makes it all seem worthwhile.
-
Hello girls!!! Popping in to visit over here ;) Also to not feel so alone in the lack of sleep department...hehehe.... I expected it but you can never prepare for it.
Kate I'm so sorry to hear about Rylee & reflux. Its soooo awful. and Tegan I really hope Charlie doesn't have it either. We are holding our breaths for Jovie. I really hope she is okay. She's got baby guts atm but sleeps well. Sometimes I have to wake her up to feed her during the day because she feeds all night long & sleeps all day... gotta love the day/night confusion. So I'm trying to feed her at least every 4 hours during the day to make her hopefully sleep better at night. Milk has come in, owie!!!
-
Wow you girls have been chatty LOL.
Kirsty - Not so much being busy, but our new PC is stuffed, so I am limited with online time again at the moment. :( at your jug too, don't blame yourself you weren't too know. I hope she is doing a better now though with hotter bottles
Kate - how did rylee go overnight after her 2nd acupunture session? I hope you have a good time at the party today.
Melanie - are you looking forward to tomorrow LOL. I think I would be :) and OMG at the other rellies coming and going. i think I would be hiding under the closest rock by now.
*Tegan* - How cute at Charlies first smile. We think Ashton is getting there with smiliing as well. he will on occasions if you tickle him under the chin. I love those gummy smiles.
Christy - Good to see you in here even though I will chat to you in the Nov thread as well as other places LMAO.
Hello to anyone else I have missed.
Today Ashton is 1 month old still can't believe how quickly time has passed. Not much really to report on him, still just sleeps and eats lol.
Love
-
Well thought i better do a post in here, have been finding it hard to get my bearings with all the new threads now
Cooper is going well, feeding way too much during the day but is not too bad overnight besides the odd night here and there, trying to just stay relaxed about it all as there isnt much we can do routine wise till he is a little older, well i couldnt be bothered till then anyhow lol so we just go with what he wants for now
Mason has been really good with him, gets a little carried away here and there but in general he is a busy kid and has other things he would rather do than hang out with the baby
I got out of house yesterday once by myself for christmas shopping which i enjoyed but was tiring, then i hit shops again but took Mason with me that time, he was good as usual when out though, really refreshed me though getting out for awhile, wanted to go out again today as i had a couple of things to do but DH made plans before me lol, so he is out instead helping a mate out, so maybe later
I am so nervous about going out with them both still, not so much cause of there being two of them, its my stupid car, being a hatchback its a pain getting them in and out and its very annoying, but i think i should just do it and get it over with and i will find its probally not as bad as i think
Well enough babble from me for now :)
ETA: HAppy 1 month to Ashton :) cant believe it either, going so fast isnt it
-
