Oh yeh I know toddlers. I believe that they are here to test us and our patience!LOL! I can't even remember how many times in a day I'm telling her off for something. She sure knows how to make me feel bad about it though. The bottome lip quivers and drops then the water works start. She looks so cute when she does that though.LOL
Well despite Jasmine burping after each feed I gave her some infacol wind drops and she did one little burp then fell asleep!Go figure! I rang my sister though and shes going to drop off some baby panadol for me JIC. Gotta cover all bases.
ETA I've just let the dogs in the house so Gem can chase them and annoy them instead of me for a whileLMAO!
-
Hope that it all helps and she settles down
Cooper seems to be asleep but have gone in around 4 times so far to pat him again
Tegan: Glad Charlie is going great today for you :)
-
I'm having the same problem with Tom. He has been crying and unsettled since we got back from the shops. Finally I put him in the sling and now he's asleep. Jack's due to wake any time so I'm going to hurry up and get some things done.
-
Must be the day for it Melanie! Jaz always settles in the carrier too.
Both girls are asleep ATM. I'm having my lunch no!DOH! Probably won't eat my dinner now......norty girl!LOL!
Has anyone heard from Kate?? I hope everything is ok............
-
Emma: She had a little girl, she has a boy the same age as Mason so was nice for her
And hope that Stu gets back home at some point, poor guy
-
LOL at the dogs Kirsty... I do that all the time ;) Matilda will play fetch with the labrador for at least 30 minutes.
I got Baby Love newborns from BigW too. Luckily Baby Love goes up to 4.5kg!!
Melanie, I went to Carindale yesterday at 9am and had the same issue... and I desperately need to do Christmas shopping... urgh. Maybe we can meet there at 8.30 some Monday or Tuesday and have a coffee before we brave our shopping ;)
-
oh glad they go up to 4.5kgs, i know Cooper was 3.64 kilos last weigh in, but he looks bigger so he might be close to the 4kilos now, might check and then just go up a size, he is wetting through them here and there as well
Went to the school disco tonight, was a good night, didnt stay long, Cooper was great and Mason had fun dancing and trying to go through handbags and steal drinks lol, otherwise all was good
-
Hiya Girls.
All went well at the checkup. Ashton is 3.55kg naked so i know next week when i weigh him fully dressed to take 110g off to get naked weight if he is wearing a wondersuit, singlet and dry nappy. He is 53cm long as well.
Belinda - I had to laugh at mason trying to steal drink from peoples bags. I could just picture it as well LMAO. Congratulations to your friend on the birth of her baby girl as well.
Emma - Fingers crossed you have the colic in check and yay at Stuart getting home. Rofl @ the spare key being in the car too. That would be something I would do ;)
Well I am going to play Sims 2 for a bit while it is quiet. Lachlan has had a fever coming into our 3rd day now, GP said he had a bit of a red throat so is on antibiotics. He was awake at 5.30am and back in bed and asleep at 7.30am where he still is and it is nearly 9am. So I am suspecting he will be up soon. Least he ate some breakfast this morning.
Love
-
LMAO Belinda at Mason rummaging through handbags!!Classic!!
Oww I LOVE the sims Kathryn. Corey and I play it on the playstation when the girls are in bed!PMSL!
We had a goodnight up 4 hourly and I finally braved the shops with both girls on my own.I had Jasmine in the carrier and gem in the trolley. Jazz fell asleep and Gem was reading a book!!
-
Hi Everyone
Well had a good night wih katelyn last night she slept 7 hours woke for a feed and went straight back to sleep then woke an hour and a half later and stayed awake for 2 hours and is back sleeping again. Hopefully she will start sleeping 7 hours at night.
-
Holy cow Ally......7 hours!!! Thats fantastic...I'm so jealous!
Emma 23 is NOT young, or rather to young. How rude of them to ask your parents about Gaby and not you. Some people huh! My mum and little sister both had 2 kids by the time they were 23. My sister still gets dirty looks now as she looks younger than she is(shes 25) and has 3 kids 5 and under.Buggar them Em your a fantastic mummy and thats all that matters.
-
Emma, you are not young. Look at me i'm only 20 and have 2 kids already!
We had an ok night. Charlie woke up twice in the night and he's been a bit unsettled today too. Yesterday must have been a one off thing.
About a month ago i got Charlie and Lily's hand and foot molds done. Picked them up today. They look so cool. They are even in frames so i can hang them up. I recommend anyone getting them done.
-
OMG Tegan look how cute Charlie looks in that santa hat! We do ahve the moulds for the girls but still haven't done it for Gemma yet! We really should pull our fingers out and get moving otherwise she'll be a teenager and we;'ll be getting it done!PMSL!
-
Oh aren't people awful sometimes. Hugs to you Emma and Kate.
Kate, I'm so sorry Rylee hasn't improved yet. I know how hard it must be for you. It is so difficult when you are doing everything you can and it doesn't help. But you are doing everything you can so try not to feel too bad. How long is the Losec supposed to take before you see a difference? Hopefully you'll see a difference soon. Hang in there, you are doing a great job and it will get better. And just ignore those ignorant people!
Tom had an awful day yesterday but wasn't too bad last night. He would only sleep on his tummy but only woke every 3 hours which is bearable. We have him on Zantec now as well as Marina formula. This seems to be keeping the episodes of pain down to every few days but don't know which med is helping so I'm scared to stop either. He has slept well today too but still only on his tummy. Now I don't know if it's because of pain or habit!!
I'm too tired to write more so going to bed. Sorry to everyone I didn't do personals for.
-
Oh Kate. Goodluck with the Losec, keep us updated on how rylee is going when you can. Thinking of you all.
love
-
Oh forgot to say to Christy, sounds great to catch up at Carindale.
Kate, not too keen on the tummy sleeping but I have the Angelcare monitor with the movement sensor so that helps. Hopefully he'll be back on his back soon though.
-
Kate: So sorry to hear your having such a hard time, i really hope the medication works in the next day or so or the colic stuff gives some relief and you can finally get some rest
Oh meant to say at the disco, luke sold his 2 glow sticks to some boy for 5 dollars, went and re bought 2 new ones and profitted 2 dollars, was clever but i dont know how i feel about that happening with an 8 year old though! So it was an interesting night with Luke and Mason i guess lol
Mason was trying to steal handbags again today at the shops, and he whacks ppl on the back if i get to close to anyone, have to watch him lol
-
Kate..........I really hope Rylee gets better soon. You guys deserve much more sleep. Poor little sausage. Don't know how your doing it all on such little sleep. Jasmine is a tummy sleeper. So was Gemma, just is the way it is I guess. It makes me really nervous though I must say.
Melanie-Hope Tom gets better soon to and that the formula and zantac help.
Sorry Kat about the ticker to ;)
Hey to everyone else..........am about to feed Jazz and head to bed I think!
-
Goodness Kirsty, you were up late. I was in bed at 7:15 the other night (although Tom woke up 5 minutes later so it didn't last long LOL!!).
Belinda, LOL at your boys. Sounds like they'll be supporting you before too long!! LOL!!
Kate, here's hoping the med will start working in the next day. I hope you get some real sleep soon.
Wow Ally, Katelyn is a great sleeper. Reminds me of Jack, pity Tom's not the same LOL!! I hope she stays that way for you (Jack did!!).
Emma, hope the rest of the family functions go better for you.
Tegan, sounds like Charlie is well on the way to sleeping through. A couple of stumbles along the way sounds normal to me.
Poor little Tom has a cold now. His nose is running and he had a slight fever last night. He slept for one 4 hour block, then woke every 2 hours, but he did sleep on his back every time after his first wake up thank goodness. Poor Jack had a nightmare last night and he timed it right between Tom's wake ups so I didn't to sleep at all between one lot of Tom's wakings! Oh well, Jack wakes so rarely I don't complain when he does.
I keep thinking I should stop the Zantac for Tom as I think the Marina is working better, but every time I don't give him a dose he seems to have an unsettled spell. Probably a coincidence but I don't want him in pain so what to do!!
Hi to everyone else. I'll see if I still have your email address Christy so we can organise a catch up. If you still have mine feel free to "drop me a line"!!
-
BTW, forgot to add that it was busy night. Tom did a dirty nappy that went all the way up his back, and at another wake up he took advantage of me being slower at night and peed while his nappy was off!!
Has anyone heard from Ann (Luua) recently? Does she post in the Nov thread?
-
Luua has posted before in the Nov thread :)
Kirsty - No worries re the ticker have pulled a few people up LOL.
Melanie - i got peed on the other night as well. I couldn't be bothered changing Ashton on the change table so I just did it on the floor cause I was half asleep and he peed all over my trackpants I had on. Ewwww. Neither of my other boys ever peed while their nappy was off when they were babies, but Ashton sure makes up for it LOL. I hope Tom is feeling better soon.
Not really much to report Ashton wise, 4hrly thru the night and so far today he fed at 6am then again at 7.30am, then 10am and again at 11.30am argh !!! LOL.
Love
-
Kirsty: hope you got a good night in
Melanie: hope the nappies arent as full tonight and you dont get wee'ed on again, busy night for sure
Emma: Glad you had a good night
Well Cooper slept from 9.30 till 6am when Bill woke him up this morning so thats good, working on getting the day sleeps back again after a really crap day yesterday with him overtired and he done huge spews twice, over my mum then over my dad lol, glad i missed it
I so want to get out today just Bill and I, thinking of asking Mum if she will watch them for a couple of hours later today and we can just go to local pub for awhile or something, really think we need the time out from the routine of it all
-
Thanks Kat. I will have to pop into the Nov thread to catch up! I'm glad I decided to post in the Oct thread, I can't keep up with the Sep thread. Those girls sure do talk!!
How did you manage not to get peed on with the other two? Jack did it to me a few times too but I think Tom is worse. I remember Jack grew out of it very early on though so fingers crossed that happens again. The only down side of boys I think!!
Wow Emma, what a great sleep in Gaby had. Tom woke at 7:40 and Jack after being up in the night slept till after 8 which is amazing, so I got a sleep in till 7:40!!
-
Melanie - I think I was just lucky with the other 2 boys and their fountains ;) We are glad to have you in the Oct thread ;) and I agree re the Sept girls as I usually have to change their thread over LOL
Belinda - A night at the pub sounds like a wonderful idea. It was meant to be our night out this coming saturday without the kids but the BBQ we were going to got moved back a week and we already have to attend another BBQ that night with kids. Oh well.
Love
-
Charlie has had a sleepy day again today and Lily has been extra good, which has been totally great. I have actually been able to tipy up around here without Lily messing it all up again!
-
WTG Rylee! What a good girl for sleeping so long.
-
Christy: Bummer about the BBQ dates not working out, we never get out as a couple ever really, we just go out seperately and one of stays with kids, luckily Bill only likes to go fishing and i like to go out with friends, so kinda works out, never got out today, didnt worry about it
Kate: So glad to hear you are feeling better and hopefully it is the meds kicking in for her
Tegan: Glad you had a good day too
Was a good day here too, Mason wasnt as loud, except for right now that i am typing this lol, and Cooper has slept most of the day away, dinner is done and thats about my day
we had morrocon chicken salad with sour cream, love it :)
-
Yay Kate!!! I'm so glad you finally got some decent sleep and Rylee too!
We had a shocker of a day. Jasmine was awake for most of it. Didn't want to sleep just wanted to be cuddled. We also babysat 2 of my sisters girls who are 6 months and 21 months so you can imagine how chaotic it was this afternoon!!
-
Well i guess it was a good view at your life with four kids Kirsty lol, well done for making it to the end of that one :)
-
Hi everyone.
Kirsten seems to be having the mother of all growth spurts, fed from 130-5am then up again at 8, then wanted fed again at 1030-1130, then again at 1215..hope it doesn't last long! Managing to just about keep up with her with the expressing though!!
She is also much more grouchy and unsettled, just had a huge crying and screaming spell for no reason and keeps crying when I put her down..she is normally very easy going, in fact this is the first time in 6 weeks I have ever heard her really scream. Hope she is OK..
Marion
-
Kirsty - Ashton was a bit like that yesterday as well. didn't really want to be laid down at all.
I am going to have a full on day today, cause I need the car so everyone had to get up early which will mean 2 cranky older kids later on  have to goto mums straight from kindy as well.
Had the 6wk checkup on Friday and GP has put me back onto full strength iron tablets, as he said I looked tired (ha!) and anemic. I said "you try getting up 2/3 times a night everynight for the last 6wks"
Anyway best check rest of forums before we head to kindy/playgroup in an hour.

Jasmine had an unusual night. Normally she is so easy to put back to sleep after a night feed but last night she was up for over 2 hours and in that time she polished off a 120ml bottle and then had another bottle 40ml!Finally got her back to sleep at about 3.30am. But this morning she is asleep after being so unsettled yesterday I'm hoping she sleeps most of the day. Think she may have had gas and been a bit constipated!LOL!
Marion-Sounds exactly like Jasmine's day yesterday. She was just generally so unsettled and very hungry!
Emma-Glad Gaby went well in the move to her own room. Must say even with her next to me I still sleep soooo deep!LOL!
Kathryn-Buggar at having a full on day.....argh I hate it when its like that.
Belinda-The 4 kids in the house was so hectic!.Don't know how you ladies with 3 kiddies do it. Corey looked at me and said maybe we should stop at 2!PMSL!It was so nuts. My neice that is 21 months climbed on top of the walker and was standing there dancing! I nearly had a heart attack!
Kate- I hope you guys had another good night. Love the photos of your girls to, especially the one of Kelsey trying to put on the HAB!
Tegan-How'd Charlie go last night??I hope you have another easy day. Its nice when the toddlers are easy going to!!
Melanie-PMSL at your post on getting peed on!!
ETA think I might just eat my words as Jazz is awake again and unsettled!
-
Don't laugh to hard Kirsty and others with girls - you might have a boy next time!! LOL!! Well done on surviving with 4 kids.
Marion, Tom did the same thing at 6 weeks. It didn't last long, I hope it doesn't for Kirsten either.
Yay Kate. That's fantastic news. Hopefully things will stay better for you now. You must feel like a new person after that much sleep!! Isn't DH wonderful!
Kathryn, hope the kids are good for you today.
Emma, glad the move went well and you are sleeping better. It will get easier for you!!
Belinda, dinner sounds yum!
Tom woke every 2.5 hours all night. I'm tired but I'm getting used to that. DH asked for a lift to work this morning and I was so tired I couldn't get the right words out. We live near the Gabba and I was trying to say that traffic might still be bad around the Gabba because the cricket is still on. What came out was "the Gabba is still Ashesing today". Anyway, he got his lift and there was no traffic. In fact less than on a normal day LOL. Maybe everyone's nursing hangovers!!
Better go and change Jack, I can smell a dirty nappy! Between the two boys I seem to change a lot of nappies in a day LOL!! Luckily Jack is starting to use the toilet but we have a way to go yet before I feel safe putting undies on him!!
-
Well my full on day came to a sudden halt. Threw the kids in the car to goto playgroup/kindy and notice that lachlan had a rash on both cheeks. Looked at his arms and it confirmed my worst thought, sure enough he is covered head to toe in chicken pox !! he has been fully immunised against it, but it doesn't prevent it unfortunately.
I am now stressing about Ashton who has been exposed to it.
Love
-
Oh no Kathryn! How awful for you. I hope he gets better soon and Ashton stays well. If one child has chicken pox can his siblings go to day care/kindy etc or are they all banned?
Yay Emma - the silence sounds wonderful. Not much of that here with two boys! I hope Tom starts sleeping longer too. I am very tired but I still seem to be able to get on with things. It's amazing what our bodies can do.
Time to go to storytime at the library. I will have to disturb Tom who is actually asleep atm. Sometimes it's not easy being the youngest!
-
They can go Melanie, Kameron went today and the director knows Lachlan has it cause i had to tell her i wont be at playgroup this week
Love
-
Theres an outbreak of chickenpox at Gem'a daycare too. I'm terrified shes going to get it.
I totally understand the lack of sleep Melanie. I'm so tired and emotional because of it. When I can't settle Jazz I sit and sob with her in my arms! Sad but true!LOL!
Well it looks like being another shocker day. Jasmine is now crying even when in my arms. I'm going nuts! She sleeps for 10-20 mins intervals then cries again. Its not wind, shes had a bottle, just at my wits end! Feel horrible as it makes me short tempered with Gemma then. I hope its a growth spurt and not a sign of things to come.
-
Had another bad night last night. Charlie kept waking up whinging for no reason every 10 minutes. He just wanted to be held and have me walk around.
Kathryn, i hope Lachlan gets better soon and Ashton doesn't get it. Too bad the immunisation doesn't 100% work. I'd hate for Lily to get it because i haven't had it either.
-
Sounds like you and I and Marion all had the same sort of night Tegan.
-
Well, I am hoping her growth spurt is over.
She fed constantly from 7pm-2am and ate well over 300ml. Then she woke again at 330am and had another 30ml, but is now still asleep at 845am. Phew!
She wouldn't sleep as she wanted to play with the toys attached to her crib, she was batting at them frantically!
Kirsty - I have also cried with her in my arms, I used to worry about doing this in front of her but then I realised that 90% of mothers must be the same!
Kathryn- I hope Ashton escapes the chickenpox!
Emma - You are luck Gaby is cuddly with the growth spurt I suppose, Kirsten is very grumpy and whingy, makes it hard to be affectionate to her when she is keeping me awake all night..until she smiles!
Melanie - There's nothing worse than having to disturb a sleeping baby to go out, is there!
Its amazing they are all going through their growth spurts and fussy periods at the same time!
Belinda - Hope you had another quiet night!
Marion
