Melanie - Thanks, it definitely has improved as she has grown bigger. Her mouth is only just now big enough to handle the nipple shields, and is still too small to fit enough of the breast in her mouth. So I will keep trying!
Kate - I'm glad Rylee has improved. Reflux must be horrible. Kirsten is only sick about once every week or two and that is bad enough to deal with!!
-
Kate: Glad to hear your night was better
Emma: I hope all is ok with you now and you have a better day today :)
Melanie: Thanks for what you said to me :)
Marion: i know what you mean about frazzled, i get in here to read most days but then i usually cant post as Mason is here helping me type or someone wakes up lol
Christy: Sounds like you did great with the speech and well done for overcoming your fears
Having a good day today so far, although can hear Cooper now, i keep typing this in shifts lol
Might go get some stuff done while they are kinda sleeping
-
Belinda - I have to laugh at you getting me and Christy confused all the time :)
Kate - I am fine talking to small groups. Have to do it once a term for our information days about the kindergarten. But last night there was over 100 people there  I said I will be more prepared next year ;)
Melanie - I wont tell you about the other stuff I do then on top of governing council president and looking after 3 boys ;) It keeps me busy and majority of it the boys can be involved as well or go with me so that helps. As for the toilet training haven't really tried again yet. I think once the school holidays start in 2wks I will get stuck into it.

Hey girls
Had an awful night. Even after the huge poo Jazz did she was still really unsettled. We were up 3 hourly but it was soooo hard to get her back to sleep and when on the bottle she'd get distressed and upset, guessing it was wind pains or an upset belly again. Shes fast asleep now though cause we've been out all morning! We had our 6 week check up together. Shes now 4.65kg so thats a 1.25kg difference since birth. I'm happy with that LOL. They commented on her head control to, I didn't tell them that shes a belly sleeper thats why its so good. And me, the doc checked my 2 c/s scars, had a feel around and all is well...yay! Can now hit the gym, although I'm not allowed to do any tummy excercises yet as my uterus is still considered high risk so I have to be careful. Typical its the only real problem spot at the moment!ROFL! Also I'm seeing them about my gallbladder next week, so happy there again!
ETA FOrgot to add............Emma- I also get frustrated and then wonder why I acted that way with Jasmine to( I walk away and scream...quite often LOL). I don't have PND its just plain old frustration!! Its so easy to get upset and angry when we don't get much sleep. I lose my temper with Gemma to and regret it later. Its horrible to lose your cool with kids but its does happen. Like Melanie said, it happens.
Gemma's daycare xmas party is also today but starts at 4.30pm. Corey's meeting me there. Gem's going to be soooo excited, although I expect tears when she sees santa.PMSL.
-
Kathryn: just realised myself when i got the email notification that i had mixed you up, thought Christy has girls oops, remembered you mentioning Ashton, sorry girls :)
Kirsty: Sorry to hear your night was so bad, and glad you will be seeing about your gall bladder soon
Emma: Yes sounded like just a really bad day, i had one myself yesterday, as long as everyday isnt that bad then i think its ok
-
Have you girls noticed that many of us have bad days on the same day!LOL!
-
haha its either that or we read about someone elses bad day and end up adding our story to it as well
-
LMAO. I am having a bad day today, but I am just very tired and I have two over tired boys as well as they were both up late last night and then up early this morning ready for kindy/playgroup........ BUT........... I can sleep in tomorrow morning !!!!!!
Andrew has to do an emergency 4 day afternoon shift, so he will start at 2.30pm as from tomorrow and work till 10.30pm. So my night will be hell tomorrow night but I will get to sleep in as Andrew will be home. YAY. So I can sleep in tomorrow, friday, monday and tuesday :)

Woohoo to the sleep in Kathryn (even double checked the name this time lol)
And i have had a pretty good day, Cooper is ok, unsettled and a lot of bottom end pains but otherwise ok, we walked to shops today for something to do and i even sat down at a cafe and ate, felt good that i did it
-
Charlie has had a good couple of days. Although he has started spewing heaps again. Even more so now. He will chuck up like half the bottle most feeds. Not sure how to stop it. Doesn't seem to hurt him so it's not acidic.
He's growing up heaps. And he is so strong. sometimes he'll be laying in my arms and then he'll list the top half of his body to nearly sitting! He'll be having his 2mth needles sometime next week. Poor thing, i hate them.
We have Lily's 2nd birthday party on Saturday(her b'day is on Monday) She is growing up too fast.
After searching for the last 2 days for a puppy(unsuccessfully). We decided to buy Lily a pet rabbit today. He is an Albino and has huge floppy ears. He has the most gorgeous bright pink eyes! Lily calles him Moo-Moo. We decided to have his proper name as Morris.
Will catch up with everyone tomorrow. So very tired!
-
Kirsty - LOL, Jazz weighs exactly the same as Tom did at his 6 week check up! I have also noticed that often a lot of us have the same things happen at the same time. The other day 3 of us had bad headaches on the same day! Spooky!!
Belinda, the cafe sounds really nice. We all need a treat every now and then!
Kathryn, I hope you really enjoy your sleep ins you lucky things. I could really do with one myself!
Emma, so glad to hear you are having a better day.
LOL Jack was so keen to see Santa at his day care Xmas party that he didn't wait his turn! He ran up and stood next to Santa to get his present! Most of the other kids cried! This was Jack's 3rd time seeing Santa this year. I'm so glad I got him used to Santa at the shopping centre first so I could photos at the two Xmas parties.
-
Emma, LOL, apparently when women live together the pheromones (sp?) cause their menstrual cycles to synchronise so they get periods at the same time. Weird huh! Good luck for the jabs. I think the worst one is the 12 months one - there are 3 and they are old enough to know what's going on. But at the time, the 2 month ones seem the worst (3 also) as it is the first! There will be tears but they won't last long!
Tegan, just saw your post, we must have cross-posted last night. The bunny sounds so cute. I hope the birthday party goes well, doesn't the time fly. Jack's 2 in Feb and I'm already thinking about what to do for his party.
Tom had a really unsettled day yesterday and today looks like being the same. Not too bad overnight though, waking every 2 - 3 hours. He can do better but after yesterday I was expecting worse.
I am so tired. I hope this is the reason that my brain had gone back to it's very worst and I am teary again. Yesterday I was half way through putting a nappy on Tom before I realised it was Jack's nappy! I hope it's becuase I am so tired because I'm scared of the alternative reason - this is just like I was when pg! I would really love another one although we haven't decided definitely to do it yet, but this would really be too soon. Can you imagine being pg with a 10 wk old and an under 2? And then have 3 kids 2.5 and under?? Uh oh!
-
Hey girls
We had a mixed kind of night. Jamsine has a bottle at 8.30pm and slept till 2.30am which is fantasic BUT it then took me 1.5 hours to get her back to sleep!! Then she slept till 7.30am with me in our bed! It was horrible though as I had one of those nights where I was just sooo tired and when I couldn't resettle her I just cried..........big baby that I am!
Gemma's xmas party was great....she fell asleep in the car at 5.30pm and slept right through the night with no dinner only had 2 lollipops at the party LOL and woke at 5.30am and Corey got up with her thankfully and let me sleep. She's in daycare again today. Shes so much better with daycare and assosciates the word with the actual centre.....they do grow up to fast!!
-
Thanks Emma. Can't believe I lost it like that........guess I'm a bit more tired than I thought!LOL!
-
Emma - I am so sorry to hear about the run around with the car.
Kirsty - I think we all have nights like that where you just have to cry cause you have done everything you can to help your unsettled baby. BTDT many times with probably many more to come.
My sleep in was only till 7.15am, so that is better than usual I guess. I do feel better for it today as well. Although I now have all the kids home by myself for the night, with Andrew working. Oh well 4hrs and Lachlan will be in bed, 4.5hrs Kameron will be in bed. 6.5hrs Ashton will be in bed in his room, and in 6hrs and 40 mins I will be in bed rofl.
Love
-
Emma: Bummer about the car i bet you were so dissapointed, ggrr to them not communicating with each other
Melanie: Jack sounded so cute running in front of everyone for Santa
Kirsty: Sorry to hear it took so long to resettle her and i hope tonight is better for you
Kathryn: LOL at your countdown
Mason has a cold so nose was running like a tap all day today, he really wanted to hang out with me but Cooper had other ideas, felt bad not giving him the time, but i know things will get better, got him some Demazin for his nose so hoping that helps and he sleeps through the night, we shall see
-
Well I am still up. So my countdown was a bit off LMAO. Too hot to sleep so waiting for Andrew to get home from work.
Love
-
Ah well as long as the kids went on their countdown its all good
Mason is awake again, was hoping the demazin would make him drowsy like it said on the box, damn liars :)
-
Aww no at Mason being awake again. I did PMSL at the "damn liars" comment though. I am pretty tired now but might as well wait 20 mins for Andrew to get in.
Love
-
Yeah another 20 minutes to a tired mum is a piece of cake lol :)
hope you have a good sleep when you get there, i am considering bed once the christmas lights on the tree send Cooper into dream land, have him out there staring at them
Nitey nite :)
-
rofl @ cooper staring at the xmas tree lights !! Reminds me to turn ours off ;)
Love
-
Last night wasnt too bad for us. I put Ashton down around 9.30, then he was awake after 1am. I think it was then 3ish and after 5. So really only up twice thru the night, cause if andrew was on day shift I would be getting up around the 5 feed anyway with the kids.
Love
-
We had an ok night, Jasmine went to bed just after 10 up again at 1.30 but it took 1.5 hours to resettle her again!! Than she was up at 6.30.I really shouldn't whinge as she is sleeping longer at night now, its the awake time in between thats killingme!!
PMSL Belinda at Mason staring at the xmas lights!!!Classic!!
-
Hope you got to bed at some point Belinda! ROFL at the night owls - at least you have a sense of humour about it!
Wow, sounds like last night was good for you girls. Tom was good too. He slept from about 5:30pm till about 10pm then until 3am. Unfortunately he was then awake at 4:30 but then didn't wake again until I was in the shower a bit after 6:30. I went to bed at 8 so I got some sleep before the 10pm wake up.
Tom seems to be so much more grown up in the last couple of days. He has started giving big grins to ladies when we are out (just like his big brother did and still does!). It surprised me because I'd never seen him grin that much before! He has also started putting things in his mouth to chew (the start of teething I'm afraid) and interacting a bit with his toys.
The good news is my scatterbrainness (is that a word??) must just be because I'm tired. I did a HPT just to be sure and got a BFN. Probably the first time that I'm happy about that result LOL!
Well the count down is on. MIL and FIL arrive here next Thurs or Fri for good. They will be staying with us until they find somewhere else to live. I started looking at places for them (in my own interest of course!!) but they have now decided to wait until they get here to find something. Fingers crossed for me gals - they need something soon!! We will have had just 3 weeks in total of time to ourselves since Tom was born (he will be 11.5 weeks when they get here).
-
Geeze Melanie we will be calling you hotel Melanie soon lmao.
We are spending the arvo at my mums today, then haveto go to MIL's for tea. andrew starts work at midday and i have to pick him up at 6 so we can go straight to the tea.
Great to hear everyone had a goodnight so far
Love
-
OMG Emma!!! Geez I'd be freaking out! Are you worried either way, BFP or BFN?? God I'd be beside myself, I really do not want to be preggers again any time soon!LMAO!
PMSL at hotel Melanie. You have had so many visitors. I actually wouldn't mind a few visitors to make the day go quicker! Although I do like having the house to myself.
I'm jealous Kathryn at having tea cooked for you. Our slow cooker is certainly getting a workout here as I can just chuck stuff in it!LMAO!
Well I've decided to turn down any job offers at the moment as we've decided not to move towns just yet. We've decided in a couple of years we will and when we move we'll buy our first home in the process. Takes the pressure off a bit as I have to get my diploma finished and I've only just started it. It means though when we do move that I go to work and Corey can ahve some time off.
ETA is anyone else just itching to get back to work!?!? I so am. I think i;'ll be going back in feb/march. I do LOVE my job though and only discovered after I had Gem that a big part of my personal identity is me working and that I need to work. I know I'm weird!
-
good night here too, Cooper went to sleep with the lights lol then slept i presume till 5am as Bill didnt leave a note of when he fed him, he was unsettled this morning but i didnt get up and he got over it, and then woke up at around 9.30
Thinking about pregnancy though i noticed myself last night that i seem to have cm back and looked like just before O stuff, didnt think you could O before first AF, guess you can, who knows, i am not doing anything so no risk to me anyhow
Emma: Hope things turn out whichever way you would like them too
Melanie: LOL at the test being the right result for the first time and i hope IL's find something very soon, i am sure with a helping hand from you they will be out in no time
Kirsty: Hope you work out what you are doing in the future so you can think about working again if you feel thats what you need to do, best of luck with it
-
Hi Ladies,
Had another good night with katelyn went down at 8.30pm and woke at 3.30am and was back asleep by 4.30am. I have beel blessed this time round hope she stays this way. He face has now cleared of the dermatitis just have to watch she doesn't over heat thats when I notice it starting to come out again.
-
Emma you must be relieved!!!
Anyone had this fitted???
I am having the Mirena IUD fitted next wednesday and my OB is going to give me an local anaesthetic. He said it is injected into the cervix? Has anyone had this fitted and done with the local if so did the local anaesthetic hurt? Bit nervous.
-
Emma: glad you are relieved by it and hope the next baby comes along with a bit of a bigger gap lol :) A friend of mine had her son then went on to have twins 10mths later, she was very busy lol
Ally: Cant help you there as no idea
All is good here, Bill come home from work sick with a cold, he is ok just probably tired with a headache, got the floors done today, so only have to do a few dishes and vacumn lounge room and i am done for the day, heaps more i could do but house looks good at a glance so it will do for now
-
Argh I just had another gallbladder attack........my second for this week. Gem was so good and rocked Jasmine to sleep!Could not believe it(Jaz was in bouncer)
-
Oh Kirsty, you poor thing. I hope you get your surgery soon.
Emma, I know how you feel but I'm glad you got the 95% result! You can always TTC when you are a little more ready. Talk about us having bad days at the same time, two of us doing HPTs on the same day and both getting BFNs as well LOL!
TMI question - are your bubs still doing runny poos? I can't remember when Jack's stopped being runny so I'm not sure if Tom's still should be or not. They are, as you can guess. Also there are still quite a few a day. I know Jack's went to once a weekish (normal for bfing bub) fairly early but can't remember exactly when.
-
Jasmine is f/f so a little bit different. But her poos are no longer runny and she does one poo per 24 hour period.
LOL at 2 of us doing HPT's at the same time!!
-
Jasmine's poos are kinda like play doh!?! not hard and not runny IYKWIM ANd I found out I'm not on the surgery list!!Pi$$ed off majorly here. I see a private doc this week on wed to find out some stuff and get checked out and discuss the procedure etc. So hopefully a step forward.
Jasmine slept well, last bottle at 7.30 up at 12.30 and again at 3.30. Still feel completely in over my head with both girls. Gemma has her moments where she'll be a dream on minute and a devil the next !LOL! Certainly has me pulling my hair out!
ETA just a couple of questions?WHere does your bub sleep during the day and at night?Jaz is in the portable cot/day in our dining room next to lounge, and in her bassenette next to me at night. And does anyone where their bub alot during the day?I find I'm having to wear Jasmine in the carrier more as shes not sleeping as well during the day....she just wants her mum!
-
kirsty Katelyn sleeps in her bassinet during the day in the lounge room and at night she is in our room next to me as well. I have any ever tried her twice in a baby carrier the first time she fell sleep but the other day she didn't really like it because it was so hot. I don't think I am going to bother using it anymore the times I did use it was when I was out shopping otherwise during the day she is happy to lie in her bassinett or rocker. She is pretty good don't have to carry her around much. She lets me get things done.
I'm lucky Katelyn has turned out to be a good sleeper she is still sleeping 7 hours every night only waking the once between 3.00am and 4.00am so I am getting plenty of sleep at night.
-
Emma, I wouldn't worry about those signs. To me they sound like the pg hormones leaving your body. My hair started falling a lot at about that time too. AF could also be very irregular at this stage, she might not even have returned - you weren't totally sure that last lot of bleeding was AF and it might not have been. Bcos you were expressing it might have delayed the start. Good luck for the car. I really hope this is it for you. WRT Gaby's sleeping, it might not be related to the jabs at all. Tom has a couple of days in a row where he'll sleep most of the day and Jack did the same thing. I think it's related to growth spurts or something like that. As long as they still sleep at night LOL!!
Ally, you lucky thing. What a dream baby Katelyn is!!
Kirsty, Tom is now in a cot (in his own room) as he outgrew the bassinet already. He mostly sleeps there day and night but on his unsettled days I wear him most of the time. Sometimes if he won't settle in the cot I take him to bed with me but this isn't often. Jack has always slept best if in his own room so I've tended to do the same with Tom out of habit. I hope the private doc is more help to you. I have seen the pain MIL was in with gall bladder attacks and I can't believe you have to wait for the surgery.
Belinda, hope Bill is better.
Tom had a great night last night. He slept from about 5:15 pm till 11pm, then woke at 3 for a short feed then slept until 6am. Jack woke at 5:30 though and started playing with Tom's toy phone which is really noisy. Thanks for that one Santa!! DH got home from a Xmas party just before Tom woke for the 3am feed so I didn't sleep very well last night.
-
Phew, I think the growth spurt is finally over!
Kirsten is much more relaxed and settled all the time..the only downside is she is now up every 4 hours or so at night, before she would feed for 8 hours before bed, and sleep for 6, but its well worth it!!!
Have got physio appointment on Monday for a general check and been referred for one specifically for my tailbone but that prob won't happen until mid-January! Just bought a support belt for my lower back (I have just been diagnosed with SPD which I did not have when pregnant !?!?) which has helped lots!
So all is much better here!
K's skin has settled a lot with lots of heavy duty moisturiser..the cold and wind wasn't helping it!
She is now 9lbs exactly, so she has gained half her birthweight since she was born, which is not bad!!
Better go and get stuff done while she is napping!

Goodmorning
We had a goodnight. Jaz slept for 4.5 hour intervals. I'm starting to get more sleep which is great. We've just set up a mobile that plays tunes for her during the day in the portable cot and it has seemed to have worked, helps her drift off to sleep without crying. I just can't see myself wearing her all day trying to get her to sleep as I'm scared I'll bang into something!!
Well we're off to my parents today. Corey is installing 2 air cons for them, which is saving them a bucket load of money and I get a break from the girls as my sister, brother and mum will just pass them round....suits me!!
-
Emma, how sad! I think babies really make you miss passed away parents/grandparents even more.
Marion, glad things have settled down with Kirsten and you finally have an appt for your tailbone. LOL if it's not the heat aggravating skin conditions its the cold!
Glad Kirsty and Emma had good nights. Tom had a shocker. I got to bed at 9, he woke at 10, 12:30, 3, 4:45 and then up at 6:15. Jack woke at 5:30 again (please let us have day light savings soon!!). DH took Jack so I could sleep in but it didn't last long! Sooo tired!!
Just had to run away in the middle of this post as Jack had to do "wee wee" in the toilet. He's doing this much more often now and does wee every time. Uh oh, undies here we come! I'm scared!
Has anyone tried the Peace Baby CDs? We bought one for Tom the other day and everytime we've put it on he's fallen straight asleep. Magic, wish I'd had it earlier. We used the sounds of silence (I think it's called - it's music and white noise sounds) with Jack and it seemed to help some but not every time.
-
Kirsty, I meant to say to you, WRT being over your head with two girls, I'm sure it will get easier. The gap between my boys is a bit bigger than your gap, but I have found it has really gotten easier after the first 8 weeks or so. I hope you find this also. Of course every day there is a time where they both want something at the same time and I have to juggle, but I'm getting better at coping (and distracting the boys!!) and they are getting more tolerant and creative at keeping themselves amused (or settling themselves in Tom's case). I think it will continue to get easier in general, but I'm quite sure there will be bad days!!
