Oh Kirsty that is awsome news, what a relief!
Hey girls
Well we had another bad night.Jaz woke constantly wanting cuddles and to be rocked and patted back to sleep. WOuldn't have been so bad if I hadn;t of gone to box-er-cise last night....my legs (yep my legs not arms)we killing me!!LOL Serves myself right.
Thank you for all your support with my Dad **sniff** I still get teary thinking of it. The specialist gave him the all clear too, but he has to go back soon for a checkup jic it has changed. For interest do any of you have phi?? I know Kate does. Who are you with and what do you pay and is there an excess??Sorry nosey parker here!! I have found that mbf is the best so far with quotes and no excess.
Oh and another thing happened yesterday.........in the afternoon I got the news my Dad was definitely given the all clear..totally fab, hung up the phone and it rang again, thought it was Mum again, but it was a lady from Endeavour offering me a job interview for a coordinator position here in Kingaroy!!WTF I almost died!LOL So I have an interview TODAY at 11am! I'm totally freaking out, trying to get the girls to go for naps, Jasmine is giggling and smiling at the monitor and Gemma is playing with a curtain in her cot!Arghhhhhhhhh! And I have NO PANTS to wear...........did I mention I'm freaking out!!! I just know I'm going to fluff this interview........man I want this job.........ok better go as I have to go shopping for some pants and possibly some shoes.......PMSL..........I'm such an idiot!
Marion-I hope that they can do something, there's nothing worse than seeing them in pain and itchy.
I just rang the hospital and she changed their appointment to the 13 Feb-3months earlier! Lucky I asked.
Both Gemma and Teagan suffer from reflux, Teagan seems to be the one in pain whereas Gemma is the power chucker. They have just been put on Zantac so hopefully that helps with the pain.
Kirsty-Best of luck and don't worry about the pants. If you've seen "The persuit of happyness" he got the job with no top on. LOL.
I can't wait to get back to the gym, but hubby still gets flustered when both of them are crying so I'll have to wait a bit until they settle.
Thanks Kate. Just a question with the reflux did you find that they sounded like they had phlem in the back of their throat after feeding sometimes?
Kirsty: you must be walking into intereview about now, i hope it goes really well for you :)
Hey everyone else, i just cant keep up lately, computer time is cut so low now with the kids keeping me busy, but Mason is now in daycare monday and fridays so will get back into the swing of things soon
Lukes first day of year 4 didnt go well yesterday, he nearly cried when i picked him up and it really upset me to see a usually happy kid so sad, i talked to his teacher this morning and i hoping they help him settle in a bit more today and its better, cant face another sad face this afternoon again
Been walking him to school as its easier than loading them all into my hatchback, but its killing me! i am soooo unfit!!
Cooper is going really well, a pretty good baby, besides when he screamed and screamed earlier, once he decides he wants something there is no turning him off it!! but he is good again now he has been fed
Will catch up with everyones stuff soon :)
Hello all!!! Belinda its great to see you around. Poor Luke.
Briohny - Both Matilda & Jovie have had reflux as well & both had that gurgling stuffed up sound while feeding. Both are cow milk intolerant and since stopping cows milk product, both have stopped making that sound.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!
I got the job!!!I go for taining on thursday then start on monday fulltime.
YYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
Congrats Kirsty, so funny how a week can turn around, bet you thought yesterday how crap everything was and now its all good again, life is funny isnt it :)
hope all goes well with the job and make sure you still post on how you are going :)
I know it is weird how things have turned out. I thought yesterday that my world was about to end then today I get a new job and I got another call about another job offer!LOL But I've turned it down as this other job is with Endeavour(Adults with intellectual disabilities) and its managing the whole service for this area so I'm really chuffed and excited to be given the opportunity.
Woo HOo Kirsty!! Well done!
Congratulations Kirsty on getting the job!!
I have just seen the new thread for the preg ladies due in october 07. I can't beleive that was us a year ago!!
Congrats Kirsty!
Phew..what a day!
Kirsten was extremely grumpy today after her vaccs yesterday, and cried all day!
She also had an allergic reaction to some new eczema cream and her face looked severely burnt!
Plus she is having a growth spurt and has fed all day and been very cranky when the food doesn't arrive quickly enough!
Hope tomorrow is calmer, and that you all had a better day!!
Marion

I hear you Marion, I had a shocker as well. I was at the Post office and Gemma was screaming hysterically. I was thinking in my head this is why you use contraception, LOL! Once we left the post office she stopped crying and started talking and laughing, and that's why you don't take contraception. LOL.
Poor Kirsten, there's nothing worse when they are upset from the injections. Fortunately, G&T didn't have any reactions just a slight temp. Apparently though the 4month ones they can have bigger reactions?? Gosh I hope not.
Hope everything is ok Emma. Big hugs.
Oh Em big hugs sweets  we all have off days/weeks
I hope Kirsten is feeling better Marion.
Oh god Briohny I hope the 4 month immunisations aren't the ones they ahve reactions too! They are fast approaching!
Well today was Jasmine's first day in daycare. I put her in for only 3hours which is more than enough to start and she didn;t sleep at all. I'm totally freaking out as from monday shes in fulltime! Gemma loves it so I'm not worried about her at all. Poor Jaz, I'm a mean mummy!
I am sure she will be fine and she was probably too busy checking out everything that was new to her to sleep, once she is used to it she will sleep again, best of luck with settling her in and starting your job
Had a hell day here so not even going to bother going on about it, tommorow had better be different is all i can say!!
nite
Looks like we all had a rotten day at the same time again!
Kirsten seems much better today, her usual smiley self..she usually only cries about twice a week! She had a shocker of a night, waking at 10, 1.30, 4 and 7, when she has been sleeping 830-8, hope that was a one off!
Hope she doesn't react too badly to next months vaccinations as she just won't take any calpol (not sure what its called there) she spits it out then throws up everywhere!!
Her skin has settled a lot today, thankfully, someone thought she had burns yesterday!!

Marion: hope she goes ok next time, Cooper will pool the panadol in his mouth then spit it back out, they are so clever at all this stuff!
I know it's not the right thing to do when some of you are having shockers, but I wanted to brag about Teagan and Gemma sleeping so well now. The last few nights they go to bed at about 9.30pm after their last feed and are sleeping through to 6-7am. It is so nice and I hope it keeps up. Everyone says it gets easier so I'm hoping this is the beginning.
It's OK, I am pretty lucky really, Kirsten usually sleeps from 830pm-8am so I can't really complain
:)
Wow, she is a good size..at her last appt Kirsten was 11lbs 13.5oz, with length 59cm and head 39cm!
She was back to her sweet tempered self yesterday and slept 830-630! Phew!!

Hey Girls
Jasmine was a bit unsettled last night had her normal bottle at 2am then was up from about 4AM with her crying, think she just wante cuddles from mummy, fell asleep as soon as I picked her up!LOL Apart from that she had a much better day in daycare yesterday. She was extremely happy they said and slept really well. I'm soooo pleased!
My first day was yesterday but they've given me today off to get things organised at home. It went really well. I met about 15 of the staff that I'll be managing and still have about 10 more to met and then the clients, of which most I already know.
Wow Emma, Gaby is a decent size!LOL Shes going great guns! I'll let you know what she weighs and that this arvo as we have a doc appt for a blocked tear duct.
Oh Marion I am sooooo jealous about Kirsten sleeping through.........please send me and Kate some sleeping vibes.
Kate-How's Rylee going??
Hope you have a great day ladies and Em I'll try to remember to jump on later and post Jasmine's weight and that. Doc appt at 2.30pm so thats about 5.30pm your time ;)
I do hope Rylee and Jasmine also sleep through soon!
Although its 930pm and Kirsten is still awake and feeding so maybe this won't be such a good night.
Am glad she sleeps through though, I feel its enough to worry about her eczema and flat head and all the milk pumping, think I would have cracked up if she didn't!!!
:(
LOL Marion we all have our certain challanges with ours. I know if I had to worry about eczema & flat head I would be besides myself, but reflux...it sucks but I've been here before.
Kate thats fantastic about the better sleep (shhh...don't let Rylee hear!)
Glad most of the babies are sleeping well
Cooper has never been a big day sleeper but usually sleeps overnight so thats ok
Have Mason in daycare and luke at school today so its sooo quiet!
Kirsty: Glad to hear daycare went a lot better
Mason cried this morning when he seen the building but i just didnt drag it out and dropped him off said bye and left, feel its the best way really, i know he will be fine
Didnt take him afternoon tea though so means i have to pick him up earlier if i dont drop some off to him, will see how i feel later
Hubby and I came to the realisation last night that I wont be going back to work for a long time. I was hoping to go back when they were a year old and a family friend was going to look after them for us, at no cost. But she has taken on her two grandchildren (fair enough) and they are only young so I cannot expect her to look after my two and her two, she wouldn't be able to leave the house with a 4yr old, 2yr old and mine will be 1yr old. Impossible. Child care is so expensive, for a full week it is $450. Going to work wouldn't be worth it and I will miss out on seeing my daughters. My husband earns good money so we wouldn't really get any government assistance. It's just a joke. We want to pay off our house sooner rather than later, but I guess we will have to make do.
$450 for childcare is rip-off! It's around $350 a week here and that is still ridiculious. That's why i won't put my kids in. I mean geez, when i went it used to be free!
Charlie is still sleeping through. He's such a lovely bubby. I love his giggles so much and his smiles are heart melting. He's started to 'chat' a lot too. All the goos and gaas, so sweet!
Me on the otherhand. I'm a wreck. I have really bad sciatica and my right leg always feels like it's gonna drop off. I feel like i've been hit by a truck most of the time. Have no energy. Can't sleep, can't eat. Having trouble losing the preg weight too, so have to get a blood test for that. I mean last night, i even had to have a few ****tail drinks before i could even fall sleep! Waah! Sorry for the whinge.
oh Tegan *hug* my hormones did this weird thing when Matilda was around 4 months and I gained weight and had heaps of issues with energy and wasn't eating. I had blood tests, make sure they check thyroid jic. But that was clear & then I had PND & once on those meds everything else sorted. *hug*
Yep daycare is really expensive and we also won't be getting any government assistance now.
Ditto to what Christy has said Tegan. I also put on weight after I had Gemma 3 months after I had her. Was really weird, blame it on hormones. This time round, so far so good, but I've hit the gym big time and I'm back on the pill, wonder if thats helping.
Jasmine had a doc appt today. She has a blocked tear duct, we don't want intervention cause it involves her having to go under and they poke it!Ouchie. The doc said it should unblock itself in about 7 more months at the most.We are using drops but I wanted to make sure it wasn't affecting her eye, like making her blind or something(paranoid mummy!)
Hello to all of you. Just wondering if its ok if i join your october mummys group? ive been reading all your posts but until now havent had a chance to say anything. I have a little boy, born in October (obviously since im replying to this post!) - my first child. Things have been going reasonably ok for us. Recently though, for some reason, especially during the day, he's been whinging and crying his little lungs out when i put him down for a sleep. i used to be able to put him in his cot, walk away, and after about 5 minutes of him talking to himself he' d be asleep, but now he's crying so badly. is this normal? he's sleeping all night, most nights (i put him down about 6:30-7:00, and he's up again around 6 or 7), so i guess i shouldnt really complain should i! anyways, i hope to talk to you all soon. ive learnt alot just reading your posts so hopefully i will learn even more by talking to you all!
Welcome jacmeldav! My little boy sounds just like yours! He has lately been really sooky and always wants to be held. I have only just put him down into bed now without him sooking. So i guess it would be normal for this age?
Thank you for the welcomes! My little man is Jackson Thomas. He was born 17th October, so is almost 4 months! wow where does the time go. anywho im off to bed. Sweet dreams everyone. talk to you all soon.
Welcome Mel (A guess?? cause of your user name!LOL)Jasmines been pretty unsettled wanting me to carry her round. Yesterday in the mall I had her in a capsule thats attached to the trolley and she started crying cause I wasn't holding her!Was the first time shes done that!
Kate-Thats ok. People spell my name wrong too all the time IRL and on BB!PMSL Guess you don't get that with your name........probably why my lil sis named her daughter Kate!LOL I'm so jealous of DH having holidays with you guys! Corey's holidays are in march but only for 2 weeks, but it will be perfect as we'll be moving house around then so he can do all the work ;)
Yep my little angel is VERY clingy. Just started yesterday, but I'm wondering if its because of daycare.....hmmmm could be. We're off to do a grocery shop as soon as Corey gets home from work. It'll be the first time hes come shopping with us since Jasmine was born!!!!Hes pretty excited!
oh Kirsty maybe it is daycare... I hope thats all.
Welcome jacmeldav!
Name spelling... I get it too. There are apparently some really exciting ways to spell Christy... and 9 times out of 10 people say Kirsty to me on the phone. Ah well.... We have Matilda who hopefully won't get it, but poor Jovie will.
Kate, thanks for asking... I've done a rather huge post in Nov babies about my last week but things are okay. We are on survival this week ;) I'm on antibiotics for a burn & Jovie's gone downhill from that. She was a textbook baby a week ago... so much better.
Ok Jasmine's stats..........just measured her
Head-41cm roughly she kept wriggling
length-66cm
weight-held her and weighed us both!LOL shes weighs about bang on 6kg so around 13lb 23 oz
Kate:Mason went fine thanks for asking, he could of stayed longer but didnt have afternoon tea with him, so next time i will remember, costs on how much food they have to have there, sometimes better for him to be at home and just snacking on small things all day, cheaper anyhow lol
Jacmeldav: Welcome to the thread :)
Cooper has been really clingy too since a couple of days ago, maybe its just a stage for them, he isnt sleeping hardly at all during the day either, no idea why, he still sleeps well over night though so thats good
Anyhow better go try and sneak Cooper into a bath without Mason noticing lol, we have put them in together but mason is too rough and splashes
Kate & others... I couldn't even find the post I thought I'd done ;) so here is some of it:
I am having to have daily bandage changes & am reacting to different bandages they are using so its tough going until they get it sorted. It got infected on Tuesday so I had to start antibiotics then.:
My burn is on my belly, from the bottom of my bra to my undies. Its over more than half of the belly area... (just what I wanted people staring at my post baby belly daily...). I sat down with a bowl of boiling water to steam out my head cold around 11.30pm Sat night and accidentally poured the water straight onto my belly. I had to call an ambulance & go to hospital until around 4am when I got home. I had to leave Jovie & Matilda with DH and go by myself... in undies & bra!!! Luckily DH though to run & grab some pants & top, breastpads & mobile for me otherwise I would have had to walk out of the hospital in undies & bra too... & they were soaking wet because after the burn I ran into the shower & stood in my clothes under cold water. Then the ambo's had to take the clothing off and pulled skin with it :(
Oh Christy, you poor thing! *hugs* So lucky it wasn't while you were pregnant too! I hope it heals soon.
Great idea Kate... I think I will ring the burns unit tomorrow to see if they have any other options.
