Hello again everybody,
I am sorry its been so long! I am having so much fun being a mum! Tiera is still perfect! Sleeping 10pm - 6am every night then will go back to sleep after a feed for a further 3-4hrs.
She had her needles last week and it was horrible! I cried just as much as Tiera! I have never heard my baby scream before, so it was terrible to hear her so distressed. Luckily she was due for a feed so as soon as it was all over I put her on the breast so the 2 of us were happy! :) No reactions or problems thank goodness!
Trish - her fav toy would also have to be her musical play gym. Each time she kicks the toys and it makes it all light up and make a noise, she loves it! She chats away at it, smiles and kicks like crazy. Although the last few days I have had her underneith it she has been watching the TV and not the lights! lol
I hope all mums and bub are happy and healthy.
PS I have once again updated her pic. I took the photo today of her on her Tigger outfit. I have also updated her website which you can have a look at by clicking the 'totsites' link in my signature.
Take care
Well everyone Caitlyn did just fine at daycare- much better than her mum! DH says I am a little more chipper today than I have been - been nice being able to do my own thing. Didnt realise how clingy she was until now.
While at daycare she was the perfect child so they tell me.....bring her home and she turns into the tot from hell!! At DC she took 2 full bottles, bring her home (due for a feed) takes 60 ml then cries! But I think she might have been tired too - DH just put her in her swing and she has dropped off to sleep. See how she sleeps tonight?!
First day back at work tomorrow :( Not looking forward to it - wanting the adult conversation but just dont like my job - oh well....keeps the money coming in I guess.
Anyway - DH decided on an early dinner cause we are both so hungry. Have a good night everyone!
hey ladies
lachlan had his needles today, he LOVED the oral dose. just ate it all, was very cute. and the needles he cried but as soon as it was over i cuddled him, told him it was alright and he stopped crying within a minute(literally) the nurse was shocked.he is acting up a bit now though, bit sooky and whingey. i finally got him attached and fed and he is asleep now. hopefully he will sleep normally tonight. he is now 5kg hc 40cm. so he is travelling well, 250g in 2 weeks.
no tats for me.
lachlans favorite thing is talking to mummy. but he is younger/youngest out of all these babies.
sorry bout no personals
friday is soon!!!
Thanks so much girls for all your support, I truly appreciate it! Its so hard trying to be a super mum hey:) Myles is getting better, not crying as much! He is still fighting to go down at night but we will get there!
Becky how did your tattoo go! Your very brave! I don't even have my ears pierced:p
Leah You poor thing that house sounds awful:( Hope your girls start to settle again!
Trish woohoo kieran, whata great sleep! How sore is it when they don't get up to feed! I think I had to express when Myles began to sleep through! Not looking forward to that again! Boohoo for his needles though! We will be coming up to his 4 month ones soon!
Rebecca77 wow 150-200 crunches! Your super woman! I cant even get my fat but out for a walk some days let alone crunches:p So glad caitlyn went well at daycare, the big Q is how did you go!
Julia Wow 6.4kgs! Myles is only just 6.3kgs, but is very lean iykwim! Myles is a ladies man too maybe we should get them together and they can flirt to there hearts content!
Kim Hope your not too stressed without DH! I know how hard it is and how lonely it can get:hug:
Tiff love the tigger outfit!
Saffi so glad you had a great time away! What a good boy L was!
Myles fav play things at the moment are his vege teething toys! There is a pic in my bb gallery if you want to look there sooo cute!
Have a great night guys! Big hugs to all the mums and bubs!xo
Oh Amber, you are a great mum - I reckon this parenting thing is the hardest thing I've ever done and the fact they can't exactly tell you whats wrong doesn't really help! All we can do is give them enough food, warm safe environment, clean pants and lots of love and things will eventually work out.
My mastitis has pretty well cleared up now , i'm still feeling quite tired the last few days but otherwise pretty good.
My sister had her baby today! Matteo Giancarlo was born at 5pm, weighing in at a very healthy 5.27kgs which is more than Hayley weighs now! You'll all be glad to hear she had a c-section with a bub that size!
Will go and see him tomorrow.
Hayleys fav thing is chatting to us first thing in the morning when she wakes up and playing under her new playgym.
She is now saying so much and is just so alert its so cute!
Sorry, no other personals tonight... hope all mums and bubs have a good night :):crossfingers:
Evening everyone!
Julia - Wow, Max is a great size! You are obviously doing a great job with him :)
Kim - Ugh, what a day for you, I hope the girls are feeling better tomorrow. What's the enhanced team? Joel's eye is so much better today thanks, now it just looks kinda bruised, but the swelling has gone.
Tiff - Good to see you in here! Glad to hear Tiera is going well. Those needles are nasty aren't they?
Rebecca - That's great Caitlyn did well at daycare! Good luck going back to work tomorrow.
Becky - Did you do it?! Tell us how you went!
Misskate - Sounds like Lachlan is doing so well! What a trouper with his needles.
Kieran slept for 2 1/2 hours after his needles and woke up pretty happy. He was a bit grizzly after his dinner time feed, but I gave him a bath and that cheered him up. He outgrew his baby bath already so I have him in the big bath in one of those little seats. He LOVES it in there! Hopefully he sleeps OK tonight.
Kate congrats to your sister! Wow what a whopper! Lucky she had the Csection! thanks for your kind words too!x
Sorry miss kate i forgot you in my pst Hope Lachie is ok from his needles! hehe on him loving the oral one! whata greedy guts:) x
Amber - I took so long to write my post that I didn't see yours! I'm so glad Myles is getting better for you again. It is hard to be super mum all the time that's for sure!
Kate - Glad to hear your mastitis has cleared up. Congratulations on your nephew! Wow, what a huge baby!!
kate, HOLY MOLEY 5.27!!! lachlan weighed in at 5.11kg clothed today. thats a huge baby. how much in pounds is that??? it would be like missing out on the newborn stage for her:( a friend had a baby at xmas time 4.5kg and i thought that was big!!!
oh and terri/star will be happy with his name:)
geez! 5.27Kg!! i think thats 11lb 6oz or there abouts?? Kate glad the mastitis has cleared up for you.
congrats Aunty Kate & to your sister, its great having them so close together. Nixon & my sisters DD are 4days apart and they get on so well together now.
rebecca- i actually but the core secrets "gunner petersen" dvd & fit ball thingy! Im finding it pretty good but had it a whole month before i even had time to get it out of the box. i was going to do a workout tonight and instead i jumped on the computer oops!
hope your travelling ok Kim. MY dh is going away a stack over the next 5 weeks, looking forward to it in a way we've been snickering at each other over silly things lately, but i will miss him and the much needed help when he gets home from work of an evening....
Pish - Good to have ya back. Glad everything is going well for you!
Amber - Wow, great post, a little something for all of us! LOL. Im so glad Myles is doing a little better for you!
Kate - OMG I am just amazed at the size of that baby!! I thought Liam at 9lbs was big but geez! Your sis must have been HUGE by the end of it!
Hope everyone else is doing well! Only 3 more sleeps..........
Well girls I did it!!!!! YAYYYYY!!! It really wasnt any where near as bad as I was expecting it to be! Bit painful but absaloutely NOTHING compared to childbirth. Not even on the same scale! And trust me, Im a wuss at the best of times. LOL. Im very happy with it too! Prob could have been a little bigger, but Im not worried about it. Looks great!
Another thing girls, AF is about 10 days late. Do you think this could just be becasue my system is not 100% back to normal yet? Also, About 6 weeks ago I got Implanon put in. Do you think it could be becasue of that?? (Please say it is, Im not really ready for baby #3 yet!) What do you guys reckon? Should I be worried or just see how it goes?
Becky when i had the implanon put in my periods pretty much stop for the entire time, i did have the occasional break through bleed tho.
Yay for getting the Tatt.
Kate Wow what a big baby & congrats to you & your sis
Mo - Oh thanks, thats good. Puts my mind at ease a little (Geez, I'll be loving it if my period goes away for 3 years! WooHoo!)
Becky - Years ago when I had the Implanon put in I didnt get a period for about 2.5 years. But after that....had AF for about 1.5 months before I could convince Dr it was time to take it out. I am NOT saying that this will happen to you.
Kate - What a HUGE baby. Glad to hear your sis and Matteo are doing well.
Boomba - I didnt do too badly yesterday. Kept myself ocupied with all those little jobs that I couldnt get done with Caitlyn at home...like vacuuming! Caitlyn likes to be carried everywhere - and not in a sling! - so doing the vacuuming was a REAL chore, more so than usual. So my lounge room is almost back to normal and my kitchen is absolutely spotless well at least it was till DH got home. He's a grot. Of course I wanted to call the centre a million times and my sister and mum rang to find out how many times I had called but I didnt. I started on the housework and before I knew it, it was lunch time. What I will have to ask them today is how the heck do they manage to get her to drink a full bottle!? This morning after 5 hours she still only took 100 ml and even at her 2 am feed she only took about 100 ml and that was after 7 hours. Oh well I guess if she is getting enough during the day at day care I shouldnt be too concerned.
One of the things that they told me tho was when I put her in her cot to sleep when she is tired, let her cry a little. If she is dry and fed and not cold or hot, she will cry until she falls asleep. VERY VERY hard. But listening to her, she is not really crying...more like sooking so I dont feel too bad.
Anyway - got to get the munchkin ready for daycare then I come home and get ready for work :( Have a good day all :D
Morning everyone!
Yay, I got another 8 hour uninterrupted sleep from Kieran again! I hope it stays this way! He coped so well with his needles I am amazed. Joel used to be so grumpy for the whole day, but Kieran is such a different baby to Joel.
Question of the day! Can you describe your bub's personality? Even when they're so little, you get glimpses of what they are going to be like. I would describe Kieran as placid, relaxed, easy-going. He's happy, cheeky, a bit of a thinker. He is fairly independant in that he doesn't need constant attention. So different to his older bro who was such a mummies boy and a snuggler.
I have invited Willow who had her bub on the 1st of November (only a few hours after I had Kieran) to come and chat with us in here. I told her none of you would mind! So Willow, if you read this, come and pop in!
Can baby's just get reflux all of the sudden?
Maddi's seems to be throwing up after every bottle now, sometimes only a small amount other times it's half of what she drunk.
& she doesn't seem to be finish her bottles , leaves 30-50mls now.
