Babies Born October 2007 #20

Mo- We put a little apple in Caitlyn's farex and she LOVES it. Took a bit of experimenting. She doesnt like the farex, formula and apple. We have to mix it with the boiled water instead. And we warm it up just a little. She sits there with her mouth open watching for the spoon. Stares at the bowel while we are getting the next spoonful. I put a photo of her after a feed up on the gallery. Actually I put a few photos of her up there! And some more on facebook - if they worked!
Trish-Yes it seems the unwrapped arm was a good thing. Will keep the one arm out for about a week I think and then will do the other arm. Good to hear that Joel is settling in at Kinder a bit more. Makes it hard on us when they cry doesnt it? C can't wait for daycare some mornings. She gets excited before I even get her out of the car.
I might be crazy but I think my little girl is going to be left handed! Everything she does is with her left hand! Thats pretty much the only fist she shoves in her mouth. Grabs at toys etc with her left hand. We are both righthanded but my dad and sister are leftys. Don;t know whether it runs in families or not.

I have been writing to my SIL and my friend pretty much all morning - why oh why cant I have something to do!!??!!

DH has taken the day off today to do some work. L is being a cranky pants today for some strange reason. Only slept for an hour this morning. Is cracking it now but DH is dealing with him. Hopefully he will sleep for a few hours.

Overnight was ok. L was up a couple of times. DH got up one time to discover L had wet the basinette so it totally needed to be striped back, L changed etc. I stayed in bed. Going to get some lunch and then might have a snooze.

Hugs to everyone that is having a carp time. High 5s to those who are going ok.

Damn alot of our bubs not sleeping or being a bit fussy.

Jasmine sleeps a good 10-12 hours a night with no wake ups (as does Chelsea though), feeding no issues. During the day she has three to four 1-2 hour naps plus cat naps. Awake about 2 hours in between feeds...sometimes longer.

Grrr - I know I dont really have much to complain about, I know what some of you guys go through, but Chels has been so high maintenance the last few days!
Will not spend any time on her own, just cries and grizzles til you pick her up, and then she is fine. I mean, like the minute you are putting her down, she is already crying! Driving me bonkers!! Gave her a little bit of Panadol in case her teeth are hurting, but I dont think its that cause the minute you pick er up again, she's fine! Grrr.... (PLease be a phase, please be a phase, please be a phase!)

Kim - Happy 4 months Jasmine. Glad to hear Chelsea is getting a bit better!

Rebecca - Glad to hear DD went so well with 1 arm out. Did you have any problems with her knocking her dummy out? Chels has a habit that if she puts 1 hand in her mouth, she wants to jam both of them in there, so if I tried your tactic, I could see her putting her free hand in her mouth, and then struggling til her other one was out too. And like I said before, Chels can sometimes kick herself out of the covers and stay asleep, but she then only sleeps for half our or so. Grrr.... what to do....

Trish - Glad Joel is beginning to warm to kinder. Must be a huge relief!

Amber - You around? Hows DS been sleeping for you?

Myles was sleeping really well all last week but has now gone back to very 2hrs:( I think he is teething:( He has two huge lumps in his gums and is really unsettled which is so out of character!
He is now 7.3kgs and getting so big! I cant believe he will be 5 months on saturday!

Rebecca - can I ask why you don't want to keep wrapping?

Becky - if bub is a bit clingy maybe a carrier like a Mei Tai would help for a while then at least you can have your hands free?

Amara is fussing fussing fussing on the boob - hoping it is not AF coming back!!!!
Sleeping is still OK, sleeps after most feeds, has gone once or twice wth no sleeps between but than after the next feed she collapses LOL!
Today she slept from about 9.30am until 1pm and then I had to wake her because we had to go out I ws already and hour late. The she slept again from about 3pm unitl 5.15pm, I think she is having a big grow! She seems suddenly heavier and chubbier.

I went to put her in a beautiful suit today size 00 and she won't fit it WAAAAAAAA!!!! It is white with beautiful pink antique roses on it, brand new and she is already to big for it. Little porker, must get her weighed again soon.

Anyone else feeling bad because their bub is not getting wear out of their clothes? I have so much stuff it is ridiculous and have hardly bought her anything, people just keep giving her clothes.

Must run, I should be sewing nappies......

Evening all

Had a restful afternoon. While DH was working I was able to sleep. L slept also! It was so good!

I think L is going to be a swim champ! He just loves kicking his legs in the bath. Water goes everywhere, the more I protest the more he does it. So cute!

L's been a bit restless today. He's down now but I will have to get him up sooner or later for a final feed.

Going to a Babes in Arms movie session tomorrow. Never been before so it will be an experience. Then off shopping for some clothes for L at Target and going to get my eyebrows waxed.

Q - does anyone have a Tommee Tippee nappy wrapper? I find ours really difficult to use and always need to take the top part off to pull the wrapped nappy down into the bin part. Thinking I'll just buy a lot of those orange nappy bags and use those instead.

Grrrr!! Day / night from hell!!

Why oh why wil all she do is cry??? Grizzled non stop all day. Now, tonight, first time ever, it took us 2 and a half hours to get her to sleep!! WTF!! Would be fine if we held her, and the minute we lay her in her bed, blood curdling screams. Pick her up - happy as larry!!! GRRRRRRR!!!! You guys who do this every night deserve a medal!! A gold medal!! A gold medal encrusted with diamonds!!!!!!!!!!!

God it is so stressful! Liams bedroom is right next door too, so there is only so much screaming we can let her do! We bought Chels into our room, happy, playing and talking. Try wrapping her up - SCREAM CITY! Just dont know what to do if this continues!!

Sorry - just so vey frustrated. Screaming sux!


Saffi - Glad you had a restful afternoon! Wow, Babes in Arms movies. I will have to try it one day, didnt even know they existed! Where do you go? Have fun with that anyway! Oh, and the TT nappy wrapper, we had one for Liam and I didnt like them either. Found them too hard. I just take the lid off now and use it as a big bin, cause yep, we use the nappy bags too.

Leah - Its sad hey?? Chels is almost in 00 now too. She seems like she really wasnt in 000 for very long. STOP GROWING!!!:(

Amber - Sorry about Myles. That sux. I hope he goes back to being good for you!

Trinity - Hope your right. Liam was a clingy baby too, he was for ages!! I swore I would do things differently with Chels so she didnt become the same, but ARGH! Didnt work!

The Babes in Arms session is on at the movies at Indro each Wednesday morning (actually all Birch Carroll and Coyle cinemas). Perhaps that is an outing that we Brissy girls can do.

As for next meet up not sure if I can do it. Depending on whos coming maybe we could go to Indro as I can get there without a car.

Anyway, best be off to feed L and head off to bed.

She loves it, She loves looking at herself in the mirror & play with all the toys.
She figured out she spin around in it, so every time you walk somewhere she watches you.

Thanks for the well wishes - we are back to normal around here after our mammoth flight. The kids handled it as well as can be expected really. Emily played up more on the way over than on the way back. Harry handled it better going over than coming back. Only a few tantrums and the 'tut tutting' from other passengers! Just ignored them.

Didn't need the Phenergan in the end - though Emily actually spewed three times on the way back. Passengers were dropping like flies, I saw 3 being given oxygen plus a flight attendent running off with the mask down to the other end of the plane. Apparently the air con was broken in the middle part of the plane (where we were) - it did feel warm. It was a busy flight for the hostesses.

I think Harry has an ear infection. We are off the the doc's today. Doesn't seem to be bothering him too much though I've seen him tugging at his ear (hence why we are off for a check up). He had a cold before we even left and a few whilst away plus the descent can cause problems too. Hopefully it's the reason why he's been waking so frequently at night but what's the chances it's not? Where's my 8-10 hours straight through a night guy gone?

He's still taking about 3 sleeps a day. Doesn't always nap between feeds. And thankfully he seems to be stretching his feeds out to 3 hourly instead of 2-2.5 hourly. Even went 4 hours overnight.

Emily didn't get out of bed overnight last night which she's been doing since we got back from the UK, so I feel positively refreshed today after only getting up to feed Harry 3 times.

Weighed the little tyke the other day - 7.2kg! He's really long aswell - he's my little bruiser. Will get his needles done as soon as I can - if he needs antibiotics then after them otherwise this Thursday will be the day!

Lizzysmum- It seems Caitlyn is the one initiating the no wrapping thing. She tends to get out of the wrap about an hour after I put her in it. so I dont know if she wakes up and then gets out of the wrap or gets out of the wrap and then wakes up. So I figured she either doesnt want to be in the wrap or I need to learn a new method of wrapping to keep my little houdini baby in!
However - last night - down at 630, little stir at 9 (dummy stop) then asleep until 145!!! YAY!!! Think this whole one arm out is doing good! Plus she took more farex/apple than usual so maybe she just had a full belly for longer. Mind you she was up, as usual, at 5 again although I figure 11 hours sleep is pretty good. I just popped her dummy back in and she stirred again at 6 and I took her back to bed with me until 650. then we were up, breakfasted and walk to daycare.
I am finally walking her to daycare. It is only a 10 min walk but its better than a 2 min drive - well for me and my huge butt anyway! I got really depressed the other day when I looked at the BMI calculator and it said I was OBESE!!! I knew I was overweight but I didnt think I was obese. So, gotta pull my finger out and do something about it hey!
And I think I am more over cloncurry than I have ever been before!! My best friend is 21 almost 22 weeks pregnant and although I can call her/email her as often as I like (especially from work!) its just not the same. we were apart during my pregnancy and she doesnt have her partner around (the Army sent him away) either so its especially hard for her right now! And I am sooooo LONELY! I have no one to talk to at work (except you guys), DH doesnt finish work till 630-7 most nights so of course he comes home we have dinner have showers go to bed. I got maybe 5 words out of him yesterday. I think I am growing stupider by the day!!!
Anyway - am off to do some housework and more fun stuff!! Have a great morning MWAH

We had a good night. jas fed at 9pm and slept til 730am. Back in bed sleeping now.

We have needles due, but im really nto wanting to get them. Rotovirus would be the only thing id get, only because Chelsea had/still has it and Jasmine was a bit safer from getting it cos of the vaccine (well thats wat i think anyhow, my dr said the same thing).

We have a check up on Friday...see how much my lil babe is :)

Rebecca in regards to BMI and it saying your obese.....i really think BMI is a silly thing. It doesnt take into account anything but ur height and weight. ive never really liked BMI but so many people base things around it. I used to be in the NSW Police and they were really anal about it! theres a fine line between the different terms 'obese', 'overweight'. Im sure u look fine....dont be thrown because of you BMI :D

For the FF how many bottles and mls are your babies drinking now? (and how often)

Kim - Great you're in the GDUNH! I had so much fun last year - plus I spent a bomb!

Kim- Caitlyn is FF - she has about 4 sometimes 5 bottles a day. I fill them with water to the 240 ml line but with the 4 scoops of formula it normally goes over the 260 line. She very very rarely drinks all of it. After her huge gap between feeds last night (6pm and then 145 am) she drank all but 40 ml. But I also make sure I give her water during the day!
Hmmm...I dont think I look fine - I dont look huge or anything but I wanted to lose weight before I got preggers and now i am back to just a little below my pre preg weight. Want to shift some no matter what.

Its our first yr doing the GDUNH so its an exciting thing for us..PLUS on Saturday (when it starts) our new site is being launched...so the crappy one we have now will finally be goooooooooooooooone!!! I cant wait :lol:

Jas has 4 bottles a day 200ml each time...and sometimes leaves 20ml each time...but more often enough she drinks the bottle dry! Around every 4 hours. Last feed around 8/9pm...first feed around 8/9am. So has a huge over ngiht stretch!

Im still 7kg off pre Chelsea weight...then millions more kilos to goal weight!!!

Kim Maddi has 4 bottles a day 230mls after the scoops, she usually leaves 20-30mls.

Kim - Chels is having 5 ish bottles a day. Usually about 170 mls, give or take some. Did you used to be a policewoman?

Saffi - Enjoy the movies! Sounds great. I'll def have to try it sometime.

Claire - So glad the kiddies behaved for you and that you had a great time. Hope DS is ok and doesnt have an ear infection!

Well we didnt end up having too bad a night. After we eventually got her down at 10:45ish, she slept thru until 8:30 so I guess I cant really complain. Its only the screaming that gets to me really. Hasnt been too bad today, and is currently asleep! Liams at Kindy having a ball again. (Still miss him though!)
I didnt think until now that Chels seemed ready for solids, but maybe that is her problem lately? Sounds dumb, but she seems to get sick of bottles!!?? Is hungry cause she hasnt eaten for ages, but then drinks some and just plays with it, spitting it out etc or pulling it away. Maybe I'll try some farex in the next few days and just see how she goes?


Im lighter than I was pre-Chelsea. And very very close to pre-Liam. (Doesnt excuse the flabby skin in front making things worse though! Do you not HATE that!!???) I havent been very good on my diet lately :( But all up I have lost 6.5kg. So still pretty happy with that.

Ok BBL, off to do some washing while little miss is asleep! Mwah.

K has come down with Joel's cold and I have a bit of it too so we are all a bit sad and sorry for ourselves! We had a fairly good night last night, we got another 8 hours between feeds, but with a couple of dummy calls needed in between. We are slowly getting there!

I am struggling to get K to stay up for an hour and a half or more. He gets cranky as soon as he has been awake for an hour and I have to lug him around everywhere to keep him happy. We went for a walk before using the Baby Bjorn just to stretch things out. At least it's making me get out of the house and moving!

I have lost 17kg since having K, I have 4kg to go and I am pre-preg weight (yes I STACKED it on, I did with Joel too), but I am pretty happy with where I am at weight-wise now. IKWYM Becky about the saggy skin! I wish there was something that could be done!!

Becky - Glad you had a better night last night. Enjoy your time off while Liam is at DC!

Kim - Glad to hear Chelsea is better. Your girls are such good sleepers! I agree with you on the BMI, it can really stress people out unneccessarily.

Rebecca - That's so good you had another successful night! Ignore the word "obese"! I'm sure you are not, it is so hard to lose the kilos when you are looking after a bub. It took me 9 months to shed the kilos after I had Joel. You will get there!

Claire - Wow, Harry is a fantastic weight! Glad to hear your kids were pretty well behaved on the flights. Hope Harry doesn't have an ear infection!

We are doing pretty well. Still feeding over night, generally has a feed before I go to bed at 9.30pm-10.00pm then feeds again at about 1.30am then sleeps through till about 4.30am/5.00am then up for the day at 8am. No dummy calls or settling in between feeds so pretty happy with that.

Days are pretty good most of the time. He generally sleeps 1.5-2hrs but often has a carp sleep where I can't resettle him and that's usually about 1 hour. So getting better I guess. He's generally up for 1.5 hours, sometimes a bit longer if he's coping OK. Soon as I see his tired signs, straight to bed. I don't think it'll be too long before he can cope with 2 hours! They grow up so fast...

Trish - sorry to hear K isn't well. Hope you are both on the mend soon. Glad to hear your nights are improving, how are his day sleeps going? Holy cow - 17kg??!! That's amazing! I'm pretty much down to pre-prg/pre IVF weight so am pretty happy. Could lose about 4kg more and I'd be feeling fantastic! But don't have the time or energy for much exercise at the moment, maybe when L is a bit older I'll go back to the gym.

Rebecca - the 'obese' label is thrown around a bit too much these days I think. And I agree, the BMI isn't a very good indication, it doesn't take into account someone's overall build. My DH for example is a huge guy (build wise) and 110kg is pretty light for him!

Kim - very tempted by the GDUNH but am going to pass! Have heard how addictive it can be and I just don't have the cash!

Becky - I'm glad your night improved. We had a week of that, every time we'd try to put him down for the night he'd just cry, took me over an hour to settle him. Thankfully seems to be passing, he's been good the last two nights.

We had another good night last night. I was relieved because yesterday was a shocker. Ethan would only sleep for 30 min and then would whinge and cry unless he was sitting on my lap. You would have thought that I chopped his left arm off the way he was carrying on every time I left his room yesterday. He seems a bit better today.

Maybe it was teething. He has a lump in his top gum to the side a bit. I thought that they got the front bottom teeth first but I don't know.

Anyway he is waking up so I'd better go.

well Tyron has decided to cut his first tooth already! at 4 1/2 months old!!
he has been dribbling heaps and a bit more clingy than normal but last night i noticed his gum looked about ready to cut a tooth. thismorning i can feel the tip through his gum.
dunno if i mentioned it b4 also Ty decided about a month ago he didnt want the dummy. just kept spitting it out everytime. so he no longer has one! BUT nix still has one @ bedtime and want to get him off it just after his bday. even more so now he wont be seeing any of tyrons around hoping that helps.

Claire- yep got the harness thing & i use it but what happened at playgroup was a freak accident. we are in a room securely locked, it was when ppl started leaving the door was opened and not shut. oh i was hoping Harry didnt have an ear infection, hope it clears up soon.

trish- sorry to hear youve all coped it. in regards to carrybing K when he gets tired, do u have a carrier like HAB or baby bjorn u could put him in so u have your hands free? WTG on the weight loss, ive stalled a bit now git 3kg before my pre pg weight but wanna go a few kgs more than that too.

Umm.. where shall I start.

At his 4 month needles, Elijah was 8.4kg, now in size 0:rolleyes:
not quite rolling, but he's sooo close! He goes from his back to his side, is ALMOST to the point of rolling the whole way and his arm gets stuck:doh:so he rolls back onto his back. Been doing that for weeks now. Ah well...
He's cutting a front bottom and a molar. Yep, a molar. You can see the white edges on the sides peeking through. Loves munching away on our fingers with our thumbs jammed as far back as he can possibly get them without him gagging.

Noice huh!?

What else...

Oh! He does this 'back crawl' thing where he basically squirms his way to whatever or whoever he wants. He also arches his back and pushes up with his legs when he wants you to pick him up. Very cute;)


Anyway, he's up now so I better go!

Willow - Sounds like L is doing well with his sleeps! K's day naps are all over the place. Some days he'll have great ones, other days he won't. I'm just trying to go with the flow! Well done on being pre-preg weight! I seem to put on a lot of weight in pregnancy, but I think it is because I am usually pretty skinny (borderline underweight on that darned BMI chart :rolleyes:) so my body must need to bulk up! After I had Joel I ended up losing 5kg more than pre-preg!!

Nic - Wow, I can't believe Tyron has cut a tooth!!! It sounds like he coped pretty well with it though, hopefully he copes that well with the rest of them! I do have a Baby Bjorn for K, but he gets really restless in it unless I go for a walk. It's easier to cart him around, but I think my arms will drop off soon lol!

Sarah - Welcome back! Glad to hear Elijah is doing so well. Wow, cutting a molar too! I didn't realise they could get a molar so early.

Yeah I know, I couldn't believe it either. Apparently molars can go up and down, hope that don't happen though, sounds very painful!

Mo-Meant to say much earlier on that we want one of those activity centres for Caitlyn. She puts so much weight on her legs now (please dont start moving just yet!!) even the ladies at daycare have mentioned it! She will stand and I will have my hands either side to support her from falling sideways but her little (chunky) legs hold her up for quite some time. So now that she has discovered this she doesnt like sitting and HATES lying down. So basically I sit on the couch holding her from falling sideways. Puts a big smile on her face though. We did pick something up from kmar that is very similar (nowhere else to look!) but when she sits in it, the way it is made she falls forward. She looks so uncomfortable. we tend to stuff a cloth nappy in the front to support her a little. I can't wait to get to Townsville in April to buy more stuff for her!!
Anyway - am off to the Doc this afternoon - DH and I are desperate to find out if we can do anything in regards to my lack of sex drive. I am just not intersted at all - im not too tired - just have no interest in it (sorry if TMI). Hopefully a change of pill will do the trick :pray: poor DH keeps telling me he is going to DIE soon!! ha ha ha

feeling a bit better today - got out of the house and all that.... and bought more baby clothes...:wall:

the good news is, i've lost all my preg weight (18kg), the bad news is that my body is weird. boy does it look different. i have lost heaps of muscle mass and am just a jelly thingo with 2 inches too much still on my waist. very odd this whole baby thing.

the little guy has decided he hates his dummy now and is always trying to make a beeline for boob when i'm settling him. gah... drastic measures are required i think. don't know what they are just yet.

bah - he's crying in teh swing... better go

I am sitting here trying hard to ignore Ethan for a few minutes to allow him to self settle. We have moved on from the one arm wrapped thing to no arms wrapped and it is a big leap. I think Ethan keeps playing with his dummy while he is settling and then takes it out and can't get it back in which is why he is not going to sleep. Oh well, hopefully he will get the idea soon. Feeling really tired tonight and hubby is out for the night. Wont be home till late so I'm on my own with Ethan. Wish me luck girls.

Spent the whole day at the shops. We enjoyed the movie. I haven't seen so many prams and babies in the one place. Scary. It was a very interesting experience. L decided to crack up and I couldn't settle him in my seat so I had to go for a walk. Anyway 10 mins later he was asleep. Will go again. Saw Definitely Maybe - ok, nothing special.

Bought some clothes for L today as well. Just a few jumpsuits and some pants. It is starting to get cooler here and everything I have is summer.

Nickers - thanks for noticing L's birthday! Wow, congrats to Tyron for his first tooth breakthrough. I also can't believe a bub would go off a dummy. I wish L would - it would make my life so much easier.

Formula - L has about 200mls at a time. I also BF and give him EBM so FF is more of a supplement. I weighed him today and he is now 6.36kg! He's slowly catching up.
Weight - I have another 4kgs to go to get to my pre-pregnancy weight. I have been fairly stable for the last couple of months so will need to take some more active measures to budge those last few kgs. Got the jelly belly too. Actually always had it but now is even flabbier feeling.

Didn't get much sleep overnight - partly because I slept so much in the afternoon that I wasn't tired at normal bedtime. So fed L at around 11.30. He just wouldn't go back to sleep. He was doing his flapjack thing. I'd put him down on his back and come back a few moments later he was on his front peering over the top of the bassinet at me! So cute but so frustrating!

Well not much happening here still! I am positive the lil man is getting teeth! Poor sausage! He seemed to sleep a bit better last night which was great!

Rebecca and Amber we are all in the same boat then. Craig and i went from 'cant get enough' to 'cant stand sex what so ever'...well for me anyhow. Every tiome we try to DTD i break down in tears cos i hate it so much, hate to be touched, kissed....its really bad. I have no want or desire at all. I most of the time allow it to happen cos i feel so bad for saying No all the time.

Becky i had 12 weeks to go before i graduated as a cop. Unfortunately i left due to my day being diagnosed with leukemia and he had to begin chemo...i was worried id loose him and it began takin a toll on my studies. But the fitness regimes they put you through are hard and they are very picky on weight and hip measurements!

Aww kim! I am sure Craig would understand if you didnt want to do it! But its hard not to feel guilty hey!

Omg I just heard this funny noise coming from Myles bedroom, so went in to have a look and he was still wrapped up but had rolled onto his tummy! Still fast asleep! He has never done this before! I have turned him back over cause I was worried but what if he does it again would he be alright?

Amber - How scary!! Chels is yet to do that. Dont they say you should stop wrapping them when they can confidently roll over? (Not that that is liely to happen here. Chels wouldnt allow me to stop wrapping her for anything!) There is a little cake shop at Browns Plains that has heaps of little figurines and things. Thats where I got Chelsea from.

Our day wasnt too bad Apparantly Liam wasnt too good at Kindy today. Was a bit teary and kept asking for me. Poor little thing. I rang and checked on him so I picked him up early. Chels was ok today. Took about 20 minutes to get don tonight. Havent heard anything so far. Hoping it stays that way.

Harry doesn't have an ear infection thankfully but instead has dry skin! DH has it too so maybe it's hereditry? Because we were there he had his needles done too - poor kid was alseep when she jabbed him in the leg - you could see how cross he was at me! The sites are really swollen this time and he's running a temp but other than that he's alright in himself. Had an extra waking overnight at 3am because I forgot to give him Panadol at 1am so won't forget tonight.

Sarah - WB! Molars - ya-ouch. I remember in my teens mine would come up and go back done again, really really painful. Bless him!

Amber - I think bubs woulds be OK if left, though anyone would turn their baby over if they saw that! Myles would either wake up when he couldn't roll back off his front again or would roll over and continue to sleep. I think once they start actually rolling themselves into those kind of positions the risks are a lot lower. But mind you with a wrap that could be a bit of a worry?

GDUNH - I'm determined to buy NO nappies, I have tons already! But I'm partial to organic cotton clothing and ACCESSORIES! I love accessories - could be anything really! I'm looking for something to go into the nappy pail with the napppies to neutrolise the smell upon opening.

Weight - I'm about a stone or 5-6kg's over pre, pre baby weight. I went and bought 2 new tops a few days ago and I can't wear them because of the tyre I'm carrying around. So I decided either I lose the weight or go up a dress size. Seeing as all the women in my family have left the smaller sizes behind a long time ago, I think I will shift this weight and prolong getting the infamous Thomas bottom for a few more years yet!

I'm going to venture out with the children to get some groceries - weather is rubbish. Did you hear about the earthquake in the UK? So weird!

Morning everyone! Is everyone having a sleep in???
Well saw the Doc - he says that my lack of sex drive is perfectly normal after having a baby. He said subconciously you feel different about your body and yourself. I no longer see myself as this young woman who enjoys sex.....I am now a mother who knows the consequences of sex and that constantly thinks about the baby - nothing kills a sex drive than a crying baby. He also did explain that it was more than likely related to my PND and we are changing medications for that too. Also a combined hormonal contraceptive can do it so I am going to try the implanon. Never thought I would say that I can't wait for AF.
Mind you DH hasnt actually spoken more than 6 words to me since Tuesday afternoon. I dont know what is going on and he wont talk to me so its just a matter of guess work. Its partly my fault as I just keep pushing him away but he wont talk to me when he has a problem. I am just the opposite - it helps me to talk. I keep thinking I am going to go home and he would have packed his stuff up and left. Last night was basically just tears tears tears for me. I dont know what is going to happen but somehow I dont think it is going to be good.
Trying to keep my chin up today while I am at work but its very hard.
Oh well - whats done is done hey and there is just nothing I can do about it anymore.

Same thing has been happening here! I just jumped on to post about it. It happened a few days ago before we even realised he had learnt how to roll, then yesterday he started rolling around everywhere (clever boy!) and it's happened twice last night and again this morning. I think he does it when he wakes though because I hear him crying really funny and when I go in, he's on his tummy but because he's wrapped, he can't lift himself up....bit of a worry but I don't know what to do about it either!

Rebecca - if it helps any,things aren't great between my DH and I at the moment either. We had a good chat about it this morning and both admitted we're not really happy with things the way they are between us but acknowledge that it's not a big deal and it will pass. It really is very common after having a new baby, we went through it with DD too but once the pressures of a new baby pass, things will get better. Promise! I didn't realise you had PND, that makes it even harder so just try not to stress too much about it. Hopefully the new medication will make a difference.
