Well aren't I an eejit...after geting the heads up from the GP about him teething, have been using teething relief, and well whaddayaknow he's had two normal sleeps today and has settled tonight without much fuss...could be coincidence, time will tell I guess. I think the coughing is half the problem, :doh: spoke too soon, just coughed and woke himself up...
Feeling a bit better myself tonight, bout time.
Saffi - I'd definitely be interested. We had an ambo come and do a first aid talk at our ABA meeting last week, was really good but not much time to get really in depth.
Hope we all have a good night. Off to see to the boy and have a hot choccie and some choc chip cookies...oink!

We had a better night last night, but K didn't want to go back to sleep this morning so DH was sweet enough to get him up and let me sleep in. It was soooo nice.

Not much happening with us, we are about to go out for breaky cause Tahlia just woke up, so I better go!
Well, I found out why we had such a bad night on Friday night and a pretty average one last night...we have our first tooth! I'm glad that it was just teething causing our wakeful night, hopefully now it's popped through he'll sleep better again (until the next one :rolleyes:).
Mo - I hope you've had a lovely day! Did you do anything special? Did you get some good pressies?

Has anyone found that the Brauer Teething Relief works? I've only started K on it this evening, but I wondered if it actually makes any difference. He is dosed up on Panadol, Brauer and SM33 tonight!
Oooh, I get my new car tomorrow! I can't wait to see it! We had to clean my current car really thoroughly today because otherwise we have to pay a cleaning fee when DH returns it. The car's only clocked up 900 kms since I got it in December and only gone through about 2 tanks of fuel, so whoever buys it will be buying a practically brand new car! I don't drive much during the week, I tend to walk to the shops and kinder as much as possible, and we use DH's company car on the weekends because his work pay for fuel ;). Life is so boring at the moment, hooray for something to look forward to!
Trish Phil & i went had some dinner etc... MIL's babysat.
I got one of those seat back massagers, new electric blanket, money & clothes.
Had a fairly good day the bleeding is finally starting to slow thanks goodness.

Trish- it is always nice to have an explaination for the rough times! Nice work on the peg. Not sold on teething relief, but maybe she's not teething. Many people swear by it.
Mo- Glad you had a nice night out with Phil. Happy Birthday. Are you sitting on the massage chair and typing? Wish i was. :p The bleeding seems to last forever hey? Glad it is slowing down. Hope you're not feeling too exhausted.

Morning all! (Do you guys get sick of my posts LOL!)
We had a much better night last night now that the tooth is through, but K still decided to wake at 6am and not go back to sleep :doh:. He played in bed next to me until I felt human enough to get up.
Mo - Glad you got to go out for dinner, sounds great! What great pressies too! Send that massager here please :P. I'm glad your body is on the road to recovery, I hope you start to feel better really soon :hug:.
Ange - I've never heard that about the teething gel :o. I used to use it on Joel all the time when he was teething with no probs and I've used SM33 myself for mouth ulsers and can't imagine how it could do that, but maybe it's different for babies? I'll definitely only use it for emergencies.
I did have a post all typed out, but the page decided not to load can't be bothered tryping it all out again!

Little man is asleep so feeling a bit bored.
Dh had last week off so I am trying to get Ethan back into routine. He was so cute this morning. He was crawling around the house saying "dada" as if he was looking for him and while I was eating my breakfast Ethan said "dad?". Dh will love that when I tell him.
Well I am on the countdown till work starts. 5 weeks. A bit excited but a bit sad too. Looking forward to some brain stimulation and getting out of the house but sad about leaving Ethan. I know he is in good hands they just aren't my hands. Sigh.
Anyway not much else to tell.

Trish- Someone has to be reliable. I vote you. ;) I think the theory is that the gel works by numbing the skin, it could potentially numb the back of the throat, effecting the gag reflex. :dunno:
Have been making a bird feeder today. Not sure what's got into me. We have these awsome parrots around here i have been feeding, but the dogs eats the seed, so i made a special stand for them. Took me an hour to dig the hole the ground was that hard.

Mo - belated Happy Birthday. Sounds like you had a great day.
Trish - congrats to K on his first tooth. Number 3 and 4 have broken through in the last few days. I haven't used pain relief with L at all. He doesn't seem to be all that cranky and in obvious pain, so I figure he doesn't need it.
Alz - good luck with going back to work. I have been back almost 2 months now and it doesn't feel like I have been away. One word of advice if possible get E to start daycare (or whatever arrangement you have) before you start back at work. On my first day even though L was at home with DH and in excellent hands I think I cried most of the day. But it is nice to talk about things other than nappies, babies and body functions. Oh, that is so cute crawling around calling for his dada.
Ange - I am told St John's do a full day Caring for Kids first aid course.

Nothing much happening here. DH is sick and I think he has passed it onto me. Got tomorrow afternoon off so I can go to my MG. I am really looking forward to it. The bad thing about being back at work is that I miss out on all my social networks I've developed since having L. Oh well.

Not much new with us, spent the day at home today which was nice. Tahlia just had finger food for the 1st time, we were having carrots with dinner, so I cut a few extra sticks for her? she seemed to like it. I think she likes any food that is orange.

Anyway, I got my new car yesterday *drool*, it is soooo nice! I need more excuses to get out and about now! I took K to the chiro today and was rapt to have a reason to drive it LOL! Chiro went well, I don't have to take K back for another month. He told me to get K on his knees and showed me how to do it, but I couldn't do it when I got home :doh:! He made it look so easy!!

Well i met my friends twins today an omg cutest babies ever! they are sooo adorable! I have put some pics up on FB! So tiny! They were csect cause the girls was bigger and they didnt want to risk her getting stuck! Boy was head down! She is feeding really well1 I cant wait to hold them again!

Thanks for the support with going back to work. To answer whoever asked (sorry can't remember) no I'm not going back full time. Only two days which is plenty. DH doesn't want me to work full time and even if I did I wouldn't spend much time with bubba as I am a teacher and take heaps home or stay till late. Ethan is not going to daycare, instead he is spending some quality time with his Nanna. She is so excited. She keeps bragging to her friends that she is taking care of him. Thanks for the advice Saffi I will leave E the week before so I can learn to cope without him.
Don't want to brag but E was a trooper last night. Slept from 7 till 9 (had a quick bottle) and then slept till 8.15 this morning. Never done that before. I went in to check on him at 8 because I was worried and he was sound asleep. It was so weird being up before him and being able to eat brekky in peace. Hope he makes a habbit of it.
Saffi - hope you are feeling better soon.

Morning everyone! Hooray, I can finally post in here again, it wouldn't let me yesterday!
Since the chiro visit on Tuesday, K has been sleeping from 7:30pm to 7am!!! He has always had a 5am feed and then struggled to go back to sleep until a reasonable hour. This is great! He did wake up a couple of times last night, but just needed to be unwedged from the side of his cot and given his dummy back, then he went straight back to sleep. I can definitely handle doing that!
Alz - That's great that Ethan's nanna can look after him while you are at work. I hope you had another good night with him last night.
Mo - I keep forgetting to ask DH about the market, I'll ask him today and get back to you. His nan lives in Pakenham so he may want to go visit her afterwards. Hooray for getting your car converted to gas, petrol prices are just scary right now.
Amber - Your friend's twins look gorgeous! My car is a Toyota Aurion, it kinda looks like a Camry, but is a bit sportier and is much faster LOL!
Hope everyone can get back onto BB now, it's been so frustrating the last few days!

Mo - The aisles are pretty wide at the Berwick market so it's fine to bring a pram. Some of the markets you wouldn't bother though!

Trish i was getting very clucky but reminded myself we need to get this one sleeping better first before we think of bringing a new one home! Who knows the next one could be a breeze...i will just keep telling myself that or i may never go back haha!

Bought Myles a baby Dyson vacum today form aldi cause he is obsessed with ours so he has his own know its so cute! He is slowly getting better hasnt coughed as much tonight which is good!

Trish - thanks for thinking of Tahlia, I feel so sorry for her, she keeps coughing so much that she spews, its horrible. I took her to the docs today, its only a viral cough and there isn't even anything we can give her. I hope she gets better soon!
She is still sleeping fairly well overnight though, last night I went out to the Michael Buble concert so DH was in charge, and she went down around 8ish and I didn't hear from her till 8 this morning! She coughed a few times overnight, but didn't wake. I've elevated her cot mattress so hopefully that helps.
Ange - that is so sad about your DH's friend, way too young.. When are you off to QLD?
Amber - saw the pics on facebook, the twins are adorable! I can see why they would make you clucky
