Pish & MM - Rhys is exactly the same but I have streched his bed time out by an extra half an hour to 7pm. We give him his bottle at 6, let him wind down abit sitting on our laps and reading him a book and then we change his nappy at about 6:55 cause that one wee he does in the hour and a bit from his bath counts to all the others he does over the night and we have found he isn't leaking at all now.
Pish - We are in the same boat as you. Cause I had a c/s and it busted open as well, I have been "advised" to wait 2 years before we even start trying cause I want to give natural birth a go this time around. But I am finding it so hard not to jump my husband now!! Lol....My step SIL and cousin both just had little girls and my best mate has just found out she is having a little girl too and due march next year!! So So So So So So CLUCKY!!!
Note to those with boys: Shopping for girls is so much more fun!! Lol....
This may be a stupid question but..........What are all the other bubs sleeping like during the day?? Rhys sleeps a minimum of 12 hours per night and then is awake from 7:30am has breakfast and bottle and goes back down for a morning nap at 9:30, up at about 11:30, has morning tea and lunch and bottle and goes back down by 2:30-3ish and back up by 4-4:30ish and afternoon tea, dinner and bed by 7. I feel he is sleeping too much compared to my nephew when they were this age. Though he is alot more active then they were so therefore needs more sleep!! So hard to compare!!
Amelia that is exactly how Ryan is at the moment somedays he sleeps more and other days less but that is almost exactly how he is each day
And thank you for myles eatin pattern as long as Ry isn't getting too little is what i was worried about :)
Got Ryan into the last baby swim spot today as well starting next week onwards fingers crossed he likes it
Celtic its so hard you know if your doing a good job cause they change so much day to day hey! As long as he is happy and looking healthy! I rememebr reading somewhere there dietry requriements are based ona weekly eating plan not daily but plaease correct me if i am wrong!
Amelia wow Rhys is an anel sleeping like that! Sounds pretty normal to me! but whats normal from kid to kid right!
Julia you poor thing maxy must have abig bladder lol! i hate it wehn Myles leaks but thank god its not every night!
Tiff cant help you love! Myles has good nights and bad nights with leaking! I put it down to how much he squirmed when i put the nappy on him lol!
Have a clean house yaya! Have packed up most of Myles clothes that either dont fit him or winter stuff! He has WAY to many clothes!
BBL xx
Amber - I have 3 jumbo vacuum packed bags full of Rhys clothes since birth!! Lol....
Becky - Mateo has also been really clingy since starting daycare. He thinks I'm going to leave him everywhere we go! It's terrible, I hate it! He used to be such a social baby that went to anyone.
It's good that Liam wants to go back though. I actually think by his age it's really good for them and generally they love it, for little bubbas not so good! I know exactly how you felt! I still cry every Thurs and Fri, pathetic I know!
Trish - I used to calmly but firmly pull Mateo off and tell him not to bite. He used to have a little whinge and so then I would pop him back on. He actually learnt really quickly. Don't know if you have tried that already? (OK - Just read back and saw lots of other people said the same! Hope it work for you cause it darn hurts!)
I am also extremely clucky for no. 2.. see how we go. :-)
Amelia - Mateo has one big 2-3 hour sleep in the day and between 10 to 12 hours straight at night. I think they are all different and no such thing as too much or too little as long as they are happy and settled and obviously not at extreme ends of the spectrum. As you said is an active little fella so needs his sleep! :-)
Miss Amber - you are sooo organized! Mateo has 5 huggies boxes full of clothes since birth - I hear ya! God help us if I get a girl next!
Mateo took three steps on his own tonight. Yey for him! Wasn't keen on the whole process though even with Mum and Dad shouting and clapping madly excited! Don't think he'll be trying it again in a hurry. More teeth coming...rashy bum, chewing madly, just woke really upset a minute ago but back down now, hopefully don't take too long to come through.
Nickers - how is Tyron? Has he had his op yet or is that Thurs? Hope you are all OK.
Ni ni's to all other Mummies and bubbies. xo
Hey all!
Thanks for all your advice. Unfortunately K is a tougher nut to crack then most babies! He hasn't had a single feed today, he is just refusing :(. First attempted feed this morning he nipped me straight away and started screaming hysterically, I spoke calmly to him, but he wouldn't have a bar of it. Every other attempt today has been like this, it's sooo frustrating and upsetting. I expressed a bit for him and gave it to him in a cup and he drank that happily so hopefully it's just a teething issue that will pass soon. He is such a stubborn boy and he has a full on screaming tanty, not a nice experience for either of us.
He also has a nice dark purple bruise under his left eye thanks to Joel and a stick yesterday. The poor little thing is having a rough time atm!
Star - Yay to Mateo for taking some steps, what a clever boy!
Amber - Yay for clean house! Did you find a cleaner?
Amelia - I wouldn't be worried about Rhys' day sleeps, he is doing fantastically! Enjoy it :)
Tiff - Ouch on the nipple damage! You poor thing, that must have been horrific . K has never really had a nappy leak, I'm not sure why! Joel used to leak through all the time.
Kazaraz - Good luck TTC #3! Your children will be nice and close in age.
Viv - Thanks heaps again for your advice. K now just goes the chomp as soon as he latches on and then starts screaming so I don't even get the chance to watch him! All this talk is making my eyes water. Re: #2 - You just kind of make it work, don't write it off just yet ;).
Saffi - What is it about kids wanting to bite each other? Maybe they shouldn't develop teeth until they're old enough to know better LOL!
Willow - Thanks mate, if only that trick would work with K! Because he hasn't had a single feed today I'm starting to worry...
Hi to everyone else!
hey everyone
amelia
lochie sleeps for a MINIMUM of 17 hours a day when we are at home. i was worried that was too much so i asked my midwife and she said so long as they are hitting all there milestones all is ok. but 17 hours is higher than what the range of what they should be at this age. it is between 9 hours and 16 hours in a 24 hour period (poor parents of the 9 hour babies)
about the nappy leakage, loch is not much of a heavy wetter but i change it at midnight when i wake him for the bottle and at 10 when he wakes up and they are usually pretty full but not leaking.
saffi, i wish we stayed in that motel. because it was a massive family reunion and people came from all over australia and there was also a wedding in wondai, being a small town, the nice motel was booked out early in the year so we had to stay in the dodgy pub motel.
i too am a little bit clucky. i have babies due every month from next month until february. i feel jealous of all of my friends baby bumps and i love getting to feel the babies move. i cetainly miss that feeling. but craig and i have decided to wait to start trying until july next year so loch is around 2. but in saying that, we arent being that careful with contraception, oops hehe. i have leant my baby clothes out to a friend whose bub is due in october. i leant her 5 huggies boxes and i have another one here but i kinda regret it cos my sister is due in november so i wish i had kept them for her but we dont know what sex she is having.
terri, WOOHOO go mateo. loch can walk when im holding only one of his hands so i try to do that as often as possible to develop his balance. and viv, that is so interesting about the separation anxiety. all of a sudden lochie doesnt like me to put him to bed. its not like him, until a few nights ago i could put him in his bed, give him his horse teddy, and walk away and he would go to sleep. now he cries when i walk away and i dont know what to do cos he cries so sad and it breaks my heart but at the same time i dont want him to become dependant on me coming back into his room to cuddle him. gah, this mothering thing has some hard choices!!!
k, thats all i can be bothered typing for now.... will pop back in soon :)
Woohoo Mateo!!!!!!!! Now to get him to teach Myles!
Trish, hun i am sending you lots of hugs! At least he is drinking it out of a cup! Have you got AF back yet? Maybe thats the reason! Hope his eye gets better soon! Poor bubba! Didnt get a cleaner but mum, came over and helped me!
Kate babies need to be dependtant on there mums for a long time yet! Loving your baby is not spoiling him! Your doing a great job!
Well i did jinx myself! Myles was up a bit last night :( but its ok, i am so used it to! but i love it when he wakes earlier cause he can come into my bed and sleep with me!
Was going to go to the park today but its raining so will have to go tomorrow!
hi everyone! xxx
Leaky nappies- I give Ryan his last bottle at 4.30pm usually and he goes to bed at about 6pm, he gets changed before he goes to sleep and he usually wakes with a full nappy in the morning but it doesn't overflow...
...except last night he was the energiser bunny from hell he was in bed with us rolling back and forth laughing and biting and head butting i have a black eye and a bruise on my nose and chin forming and scratch and teeth marks everywhere! He rolled up against DP and kicked backwards square in the man bits and he also has some bruising to show for it... Ryan however thought it was halarious and finally fell asleep with a bottle just before midnight and was up at 5am going hyper again. Daycare today though so I'm hoping they tire him out... and I'm off to bed! lol, feel so old omg I'll be dead by 30 at this rate lol
Duplicate post... anyone else having issues loading BB? It keeps going that Internet Explorer cannot load the page and I have to refresh about 10 times before I can get into any threads and is double posting with a huge amount of lag and time inbetween... hhmmm... maybe it's just Vista..
I have had some problems with BB but nothing that major! i always thought it was my crappy pc!xx
carp night o' the year round here... AND he hasn't slept today!!
fark.
hey, has anyone's bubs dropped to one nap? please tell me that's not what he's trying today?
he's been whingey, clingy, wah wah etc.
last night was terrible. he ended up curling up on my pillow round my head last night (like a cat), for 2 hours. DH is at the end of his tether. i'm going boogedy.
j's top tooth looks yuk as it's pushing through and i think the other one is moving and upsetting him.
suffice to say... it's boogedy central here.
aaaah!
julia - so even the high-pants over the top didn't work?

Hi all
We got up at 6am this morning and went for a big walk with Tiera and DH, which was great. Josh and I want to make it a regular thing, cuz we both want to be active parents and want plenty of family time! :-)
Been cooking today... Dont really know why, why not I guess! :-) Tiera has plenty of meals in the freezer, we have a heap of meals in the freezer for the nights I couldn't be bothered cooking and I have cooked tomorrows lunch as well as a few snacks and tonights dessert! lol
Yesterday I cleaned... Today I cooked :-)
Sorry for no personals, T has just woken up.
Take care all

Trish love the pic & hope it's just a teething phase as-well.
Just got a call from the Dr I need to have a mole cut out of the bottom of my foot because it's evil... get this he said I'd need to get time off work because I had to have crutches and keep my foot elivated for at least 24 hours and I said well ok I'll put in a notice to my partner I'm a SAHM and he tells me to get a babysitter and I'll be right. Yeah right a 24hr babysitter $$$ arg such a man response, assumed I could do all mummying from the bed grrr

Kazaraz - Yeah Im a bit like you... cant wait for number 3! I just cant imagine being finished either! Although I really will be waiting a few years before going back this time.
Viv - Hope ya get a better night sleep tonight.
Amelia - Yeah I have to agree. I have had to shop for a girl and a boy, and must admit girls are more fun. You can get some gorgeous little man clothes these days too, but there is nothing like looking for pink, and butterflies and dresses! LOL
Bought some Mamia nappies today, gonna try them tomorrow.. They look good though and wow they are a lot cheaper hey??? Not much else new here with me... All is well!
Sorry to anyone I missed and hi to all! Sweet dreams to all bubs and Mums!
becky, they arent that much cheaper when you work out the price per nappy... i guess it depends what brand nappies you usually buy though
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR TOMORROW MADDI!!!!!!! BIG ONE YEAR OLD GIRL!! YAY!!!!!

:happybirthday: HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY MADDI!!!! :happybirthday:
Hope you have a wonderful day :)
Do you have any thing special planned for today Mo?
Becky - I love Aldi nappies! They've never let me down.
Amber - Thanks! I took that photo on Sunday at a first birthday party. He does have lots of hair, he'll need a haircut soon before he grows a mullet LOL!
Ange - It was nice of you to remember Maddi's birthday, even if it was a day early LOL! What do you have planned for Lu's first birthday?
Celtic - Ouch! You will definitely need some extra help. Can you stay with family while you recover?
Tiff - Gee you're domesticated LOL! I hate cooking, I only do it coz I have to! Your morning walks sound lovely :)
Nic - Congrats to your friend! I first heard the name Chase on the show "House"! Good luck today with Nixon's hearing test, I hope it all goes well.
Viv - I hope last night was better for you guys. We had a shocker of a night two nights ago too. K is getting a top tooth and he was awake from 12am - 2am, yuck. Last night was much better thank goodness.
misskate - Wow, Lachlan sounds like an awesome sleeper!
Well, we still have absolute breast refusal going on here. I'll give it another day or two and then seek help I think. I know his top tooth is about to pop, he did a big diahhreah (sp?) poo this morning (sorry for TMI) which always happens as a tooth is popping through. The sad thing is he doesn't even try to suck any more, I'm worried it's set a pattern and he won't b'feed again.
Hope you all have a lovely day!
Happy Birthday Maddi..!!
Gosh, these kids are growing up way to fast ... where does the time go! I feel like every year just gets faster and faster. We are also counting down to Tay's birthday ... 8 days until Tay's birthday ... argh!
We had a terrible nights sleep last night. Tay wouldnt settle (blaming NO 8 tooth for that) and we ended up caving and putting her into bed with us. Not more than 10 minutes later, Mia wandered in and wanted to get into bed with us. Four in the bedding is squeezy, so my husband went and hopped into Mia's bed with her and I slept in ours with Tay. We are so under the thumb with our girls ... so much for learning by your mistakes the first time and swearing not to let No 2 in our bed. Anything for a bit of sleep!
I have to laugh at the brand Mamia nappies ... my oldest is Mia and she calls me Mummia .. she puts 'ia' on the end of a lot of things. So when I went into Aldi and seen them I thought it was a bit funny. We have mainly used huggies, and my girls are in the same size, so a box a week does us. Although .. toilet training is getting started this week, I just need to talk Mia into it! I have tried others, but just havent found them as good.
Becky you are one of the smart ones! I see you have about the same gap as I have with my two. We were going to wait till towards the end of next year, but I am 35 next year and really dont want to be much older having No 3. I feel old ... haha, I dont think that helps. Having them closer together is also a drawcard, considering I have only recently brought a twin stroller and want to get my money's worth out of it! And my husband and I are both sooooooooooo clucky, doesnt help that everyone around us seems to be having babies!
I will sign off now, because I could go on forever and I need to go and clean up the mess Tay has made eating her toast! Oh, is anyone else finding that the babies are getting fussy? Tay will only eat jam on toast for breakfast and it ends up everywhere to boot!
Maddi thanks everyone for the birthday wishes :)
Trish nothing special planned for today, think we will just keep it for her party on Sunday.
:loveshower:HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADDI:loveshower:
Myles sends big sloppy kisses and hugs!
Got it right this time lol!
xxx
Kate - Well I am going by standed prices. Huggies are usually $37 at Big W so for the size Chels uses, they equate to be 51 cents each. I bought Mamia yeterday at $16 for 50 which equates to be 32 cents each. I think that is quite a bit cheaper! I usually only use Huggies.
Not doing much here today! Just put bubs down for a sleep so its 'me' time! Yay!
So who's birthday is next?
So far so good with the Mamia. I do find though that after 1 wee, they feel really hard at the front? Anyone else find that? Dunno, but I dont think they are too much different to Huggies!
fair enough becky. i was going on when huggies are on special and loch is still in crawlers.... i guess it does make a difference. i think huggies and aldi are pretty much on par with quality. i hope it turns out that they work for you.
Just popping in to say a big Happy 1st Birthday to Maddi!
Thanks Kim :)
A extra big thank-you to Trish, Maddi loved her present it was such a lovely suprise Trish.
Thank-you (((Hugs)))
