Amber - as long as its not too far out of your way? what time?
Trish - we leave Saturday morning... I can't wait!
Hope everyone else is well, sorry I've been quiet, been really sad thinking about the fires, and now I am so overwhelmed by the way everyone has donated money and tried to help these poor people
Trish - thanks! I find myself praying for the tooth fairy so much these days...
Kellie - from the ashes comes the angels! I couldn't believe the support offered by so many people, the red cross said they have raised over $3mil so far, that is amazing, heart warming and enlifting.
dragonbub - I'm just reading on the news websites that the red cross fund is now at more than $45 million!! We should all be so proud to be Australians!
It has been quiet. I never tend to post unless I'm 'trying' to reply to other people.....life is boring and groundhog dayish over here!
Kellie...I agree with you re: the donations etc. I am very proud to say I donated to the red cross too...I wish I could do more, but it's not easy from over here. There was a transport company that put the word out (but I didn't know) and loads of west aussies got loads of stuff and took it to the warehouse so they can drive it over. People always come together when needed and it does make me very proud. Now lets just find the buggars that started it!
Trish...How cute of K to get your DH's shoes like that and how he runs when he's done a number twoey! I've just got Max to pinch his nose and shake his head when he's done one!...It's a classic!
Dragon - wasn't the heat awful today! Hope Caden gives you a break soon!!
Max was a bit of a grumpy bum today....he woke up early and we then had swimming...so he slept all of 10 mins this morning. He's getting teeth but they won't pop and a couple of days ago, he decided to walk, but now he's back on crawling as favourite mode of transport. He is the last to walk in mothers group, and the last on here too (although Kaz I know you said you thought Tay would take a while...how's she going...? I know you are moving so you might even miss this message!) It's a bit frustrating for me coz he wants to hold my hand and walk EVERYWHERE...but Relaxy Maxy is sticking to his name!
Kellie - How exciting, only 2 more sleeps!!! I only just noticed your changed your username again!
Dragonbub - Isn't it amazing how tragedy can bring out the best in people? I am so proud of Australia and all they support they've given. Hopefully people can start rebuilding their lives really quickly.
Julia - That's so cute that Max pinches his nose! It's fun teaching them new tricks LOL! Hooray for Max walking the other day! Don't worry, it will only be a matter of a week or two now that he will walk all the time
Hi to everyone else! Thought I should chat more because I've been so quiet lately! Like Kellie I've felt pretty depressed about the fires too and haven't felt like posting much, but it feels good to chat to you guys
Hi girls, I had a quick read of what has been happening yesterday and intended to come back and post today. We are in our new house, almost unpacked and enjoying space! We didnt have it before.
Firstly I have to say how devastating the fires are, my heart goes out to all of the people affected and after having our house burnt down in Ash Wednesday, I know how hard it is to rebuild. But we could rebuild, my heart just breaks for the people that have not made it out or lost family and friends. Its unfathomable and the heartbreak that the people who have lit these fires have and are causing, they will never fully realise. Ange - I didnt see the post, but from others replies I am guessing you have been affected. Is there anything you need? Because we have baby furniture and stuff, even if its for people you know? We dont feel like giving money is enough? But they are saying they have enough clothes etc now. We rang and offered a room, as we have a spare, but I think most people want to stay close to what was once their home. Its understandable. I am so proud of being Australian, we come together in time of need and its great to see stories on the news of people saying that the generosity and support from their fellow Ozzies is so great!
Other news, Tay is taking steps. I think that you asked Julia? Well she is 16 months now and is finally walking between us and from furniture to furniture. She thinks that she is very clever. She cracks herself up. So that is great and very cute, although she is a real tantrum chucker at the moment and tells us off when she isnt happy by pointing the finger and having her say. So naughty!
Mia is great, she is loving playgroup. Such a great outlet for her and she has lots of 2+ friends whiich is a plus. Since leaving Adelaide and my mothers group she hasnt really had a group of friends, so I am so happy about that!
Pregnant girls - you poor things in the heat. Hope you are enjoying the cooler weather. Trish - are you ok? Have you been a bit sick? HOw is have 2 and being pregnant with No 3 going? (Try to keep it positive, I dont want to be put off 2 much) Haha.
Still no baby news with me, no period since the miscarriage, so 45 days now. SO I am thinking it will be hard conceiving when I am not having a period? I dont know how it all works. The doctor said some girls dont go back to having a period for 6 months? SO I am hoping that things go back to normal soon in that regard!
Gosh girls, such a bit post and I Hope I dont bore you all. Hope you are all well as well as you babies!
Love to anyone affected by these dreadful fires xxx
i too have been pretty upset with all the devistation but also proud to be Australian with the amount of support we give each other when needed. Even all the organisation of everything is second to none.
Ange i bet you have been overwhelmed with offers of support and i hope if needed you can take up some of the offers. They are over 50mil raised now and the appeal is on tv tonight, and i dont think that incluides the corporates contributions so should def bypass 100million. but if you break that down by how many houses have been lost, shops, possesions it will quickly be used i am sure.
A friend of mine in Sydney works for a funeral place and they have a place in melbourne too. As sad as this is to think about but they are offering to organise the funerals at no cost.
Tyron is also having little tanty's now and also pointing and "eh eh" to things he wants.
The boys are still fighting heaps, it does my head in seriously! they just snatch things off one another, Nixon yells at Tyron, Tyron antaganises i am wondering if they will by pass this or continue their fighting....
we have started a new playgroup now which the boys love and all the mums have been really nice welcoming me to their close group.
I had this huge post typed out yesterday & then MJ came over and hit the back button so i lost everything such a little darling.
M's cough is getting better now it's warming up again but she is getting her 2nd molar & has horrible nappy rash. It's so red & sore she screams, kick & runs away from us when ever it's nappy change time.
Trish glad K's tongue is better & i hope your not coming down with a cold.
Kaz i feel pregnant with Cookie straight after my m/c but from i can work out A/F would of been due around 6-7wks after the m/c.
Amber still bored i think half the problem is my mind wants to do things but my body just wants to lay in bed watching telly or reading.
Kellie enjoy your holiday, can't wait till i get to go on one.
Hello All,
I am sure I posted the other day but it doesn't seem to have come up! Not much time now, gotta go to bed. My birthday tomorrow so that should be fun, no day off just work work work!
Amber, Kellie & Toddlers hope you enjoy your day.
I'll probably still be pregnant come easter lol. Doubting i'll go early again even tho it would be great.
Hey ladies! I hope you all had a great weekend and did something special on Valentines day
DH & I spent Valentine's morning seeing our bub during the NT scan! It was so nice to see him/her moving around. I get my results tomorrow (I could go this arvo, but I can't be bothered LOL), but everything looked really good. I started a thread asking if anyone could guess the gender based on my (dodgy) scan pics. If anyone wants a guess the thread is HERE.
Dragonbub - Happy birthday! What a shame you have to work! Hopefully you can do something nice to celebrate when you get home
Mo - I hope Cookie comes earlyish for you! It would be so unfair if she was late after Maddi was early!
Amber - I hope you have fun catching up with Kellie! Any news on the TTC front???
Nic - The tanties are fun aren't they . K bangs his head on the floor when he's cut about something. As much as I hate him doing it, I just walk off and leave him to it. He usually stops as soon as I've left LOL!
Kaz - Are you all settled in at your new place now? I'm feeling OK, thanks for asking! Pretty blah most of the time, but I'm surviving. You just kind of cope with two other kids and being pregnant, it's amazing what us mums can do!
K has cut 4 molars in 3 weeks! Needless to say we have had a lot of crankiness and a lot of poos! He slept through last night which was nice, he wakes up some nights when he's teething and it tires me out! I still get up in the night to pee though .
Trish I hear ya...poo's and cranky pants here too...not to mention a complete snot face! Max just cut his 7th tooth (geez it's taking forever this teething gig!)
DB Happy Happy Birthday!
Can you believe it....Max was walking last week, but he's decided now it's too hard and can't be bothered with it anymore and is back onto crawling....He's just not normal!!!!! Must say, at least the walker thingy is now his best friend and not me!
Trish I'm thinking and hoping it's a little girl this time.
Trish I'm hoping Cookie comes earlish but not getting my hopes up, can't be that lucky can i
Julia how cute is Max, I'm sure he'll start walking again once he realizes he can get into more mischief that way.
