We have had a horrible 24 hours.. Tahlia was awake at 2am screaming, and we couldnt get her back to sleep. About 4am, we decided to take her for a drive and my car wouldnt start, so this morning i called the RACV and they have towed it away to the mechanics, then this morning the dishwasher started leaking! AAARRGGHHHH! Hopefully the rest of the day will be better for us!

I forgot to ask Kim, if you are around - are you interested coming to the meet up on Saturday? We are going to do a change of venue due to the heat and meet at Billy Lids play centre in Hawthorn. Hopefully we can get onto Pish to let her know!

I am sooooo jealous!!! I wish I could come to a meet up!! But I might be able to soon!! We are looking at the possibility of moving to Toowoomba!! Just gotta find DH a job first!! Luckily i can take my job with me wherever i go.
anyway - you guys have chatted so much adn i have so much to catch up on - i will be back later when i have a bit of time.

Rebecca - moving to Toowoomba would be like moving to New York in comparison to C'Curry. Weather would be a lot nicer too! Are you still being rained on?
Amber - I think if Monday suits the majority then go ahead and organise the meet up. Would've loved to have come along and see you all again and meet Kellie, but have to earn the $$.
Kellie - SeaWorld is so much fun. You'll have a great day. I'm told there is an all you can eat, all day buffet there now.
Trish - we had a 2D and 4Dscan. I don't think we have a complete side profile shot. They were very tricky. Also bubs was being pretty coy.

Hey girls, yeah disappointing I cant come on Saturday, but I am sure that there will be another down the track!
Have you heard the weather forecast for Saturday? 43! Argh! Bruno and his very good friend, are going to move through the night. Not that this will be the first time they have done it, they moved us from Mt Gambier to Adelaide through the night. They are a great team. So I get to do not much! Good news for me :)
Knowing me I wont be able to sleep and will stay up and potter around.
Have a great one and thanks for all the notes regarding my boob scare! I gotta say, us chicks really drew the short straw with the things our bodies go through physically hey.

Mo - thanks muchly - I am hoping the move is going to happen. whilst i would love to move back home - anywhere but here would be a vast improvement and i have never been to Toowoomba so will be something new. And cheaper for flights!!!
Saffi - no more rain....my backyard now looks less like a swamp and mroe like a forest! For the first time in almost 2 years we need a lawnmower!! The people next door have got their horse in to do the hard work! However this weekend i am going to borrow a friends and get stuck into it.
I am really looking forward to a change in weather. I have done humid heat and dry heat and am just over HEAT in general!! I think it will make a nice change.
I can sympathise with all of you that are getting the high temps right now....for 3 weeks in Nov/dec we had temps of 42 or over. we were lucky to get below 35 some nights! No wonder our elec bill is so high!
Well - due to the AC being on so high and so often - poor little miss C has a cold. did the vicks and socks on over night and it seems to have improved a little.
Oh! She has been transitioning this week - she is moving up to the toddlers room :crying: oh well at least i hope they can start the TT happening!! She has only done 2 hours a day in teh big girls room but they say she is going well. I think i may mollycoddle her a bit as she tends to want cuddles with the carer rather than play with the bigger kids but maybe they scare her??? I dont know....they arent that much bigger than her - she is going to be tall! - and some of them were in the babies room with her as little as a month ago....maybe its cause she is an only child??? I dont know - the poor little thing!!
anyway - the computer at work is down so I can't log in to do work - so had better do some around the house - the dishes are calling me.

As for us I've had the sudden urge to start cleaning & get things ready for Cookie.
Spent most of the day going through M's old clothes & blankets for Cookie. Maddi being the great helper she is was more than happy to pull everything out & throw them across the bedroom floor lol. My room was a huge mess, got to love little helpers!
Maddi is doing so much better at swimming now, I think she is a little too confident in the water now thank goodness for the floatie donuts.

Mum2Squidgee - I hear you on the upset night. DS didn't get to sleep for 2 hours the other night at 2 in the morning, and last night it took about 1.5 hours to get him to sleep, AND he woke up at 5.30 this morning :wall:. Hopefully your car gets all fixed.
Mini - Did your DH have the meeting?
Trinity - go with the urge hun ;) I know I did when I had the energy, and it was heaps better than waiting.
Well, only a quickie cos DH is calling me to get bub out of the bath, so off I go!

Just wanted to share....
DH had his meeting with his boss on Wednesday and it looks like we will be moving to Singapore for a couple of years! It's a good opportunity for DH and good for us to get ahead in life! I still don't know all the details, like when this could be happening or anything and I'm struggling with the unknown part of it....but overall, I think it will be a good move!
Oh....and we are also going to be TTC in the next month too! Woo Hooooo! :) I just have to actually 'know' what I'm doing....seeing as Max was an accident I really don't know hahaha!
HOpe everyone is well...oh and Mo....maybe you can bring some cleaning urges over west!

Melb girls i dunno if we are going to be there tomorrow....after listening to the news and them stating the weather is going to be worse then Ash Wednesday im not sure i wanna be taking 3 young kids out. Zach doesnt handle the heat to well, and Jasmines skin flares up really badly in extreme heat as well.
At the moment its a no from us....im sorry girls (and especially Tiff). I do hope theres another meetup one day soon and the temp isnt so high so we can make it....well if we get invited again..LOL
Have a great day though....i know it will be a/c in the centre, but its a fair drive for us to start with (over 40km) which in heat sucks!
ETA: Can one of you girls PM me your number JIC we end up coming....please!

I've been a bit slack posting because I've been feeling blah and I tend not to post in here as often, I hate whinging and bringing you all down! I really hope this fatigue lifts soon and I have a fun second trimester like I did the other two times! I'm booked in for my NT scan on Valentine's Day, so I'm looking forward to seeing our bub again. Not much else going on here.

Rebecca - congrats to Miss C on graduating to Toddies. L loves the room and after only a day he conquered the mat on the floor and he has longer sleeps than he did in the nursery. They run them ragged in the morning so they all collapse and need the sleep in the afternoon. They are also starting to TT L. Just sitting him on the loo when changing his nappy and more to get used to the process than actually waiting to do anything. If I'm lucky they will have done it for me.
Maybe she is just going thru a phase. L is clingy and grumpy atm but he is teething again.
Julia - Singapore! I am so jealous. Hope your TTC journey is short. If you don't know what you're doing you'll just have to practice LOL
Melb girls - have a good meet up. Look forward to hearing all about it.
Trish - I've been lurking. Not much happening with me. Still pg. Actually I've been feeling a bit better the last couple of days. I didn't think you were going to have the NT scan. It will be a nice Val Day pressie for you to see your little one.
AFM (us) - L is still teething. His canine teeth are coming thru. I can't believe how many teeth the kid has. Once these are thru that should be it until he's 3. That explains the grumpy behaviour.
Yesterday L was so grumpy I would have sent him back if I could. He cried and cried all day. Anyway, I was at the end of my tether, packed us up in the car and headed over to MIL for a roast dinner. Felt so much better and the roast was pretty good too.
The last few days L has been waking up at 5am or earlier. Wouldn't settle so gave him a bottle and he downed it really quickly. Trying to increase his food intake so he doesn't wake up early hungry.

Mini - wow what a move! So exciting on many levels. LOL about the first being an accident. Just do the same for the second - but using no protection, and you should be fine!
Trish - It is ok to whinge in here, I do it all the time! Roll on second tri, I was a bit depressed in first tri with Caden as well. Second was much more fun ;)

Well we come home to our town being under a fire threat, The fire is about 20km's from where we are & the CFA is already closing off roads. Phil's Mum is only about 5-10km's from where the fires are but luckily they were/are in the city for now but they are heading home to pack up some stuff just in case.
Hoping this cool change comes soon!
ETA Looks like our friends & the MIL's property are safe thank goodness.

Kellie i was reading about poor Ange, so glad her house is still there but feel so sad about her dogs they were so beautiful.
Roads are still closed up our way, MIL town had a few spot fires & embers our friends places also had spot fires & embers but everything is under control.
People are just having a lot of trouble getting back home with all the roads closed.

We had a great time at the meet up yesterday, thanks again girls! I just uploaded some pics to FB if anyone wants a peek! K had so much fun, but when he got home he was so wound up he wouldn't have a nap LOL! Oh well, he survived.
It was the hottest day in Melbourne's history yesterday and man did we all feel it. It's lovely and cool today thank goodness :D
Kellie - Thanks for putting the pics in the gallery! Tahlia has grown so much since we last met up!
Mo - Maddi is so grown up, she is definitely a teenager trapped in a toddler's body LOL! I hope you survived in the rest of yesterday's heat. That must have been so scary to have the fires so close to you.
Dragonbub - I am so looking forward to second tri! I keep asking DH if I felt this crap the last two pregnancies and he assures me I did. It's funny how you forget once the happy preggie hormones kick in LOL!
Saffi - Wow, L has heaps of teeth! I hope he stops teething soon and you can have a bit of a break. I hate it when they are grumpy 24/7.

I know Trish, must be so frustrating for her lol.
Maddi only slept in the car once we were home she was up till 10pm.
We brought Cookie's capsule today so i have everything set up for her now. Feels much better to know everything is done. Just got to pack my hospital/labour bag now & I'm done :)

Ive been on a cleaning frenzie all day the house was a mess, was busy all week so finally caught up and mopped myself into the corner with the pc whilst the floor dries LOL!
Ty is coming out with some new words which sound very cute. madagascar was on the other day, he pointed to it and said "gah gah" and last night while playing in the bath his picked up the fish and said "dori"
but when he wants something he goes "eh eh eh eh" over and over and it can get quiet annoying!
my girlfriends son bit tyron on the face last tuesday and actually drew blood, it was the nastiest bite ive seen poor thing, it bruised up but is almost gone now.
The bushfires are horrendous Marrysville was such a nice town, cant beleive its gone... we used to live at diamond creek so 30-40min from kingslake fires

Glad that you Vic girls had a good time yesterday in what seemed to be pretty tough conditions. I hear that it is much cooler today down there so hopefully the fires are starting to get under control.
Kellie - I'll be a no for the Brisbane meetup. I've been to Lollypop Land Playcentre at Springwood and it was pretty good if you are looking for a safe, cool place to meet up. It is about 45 mins drive from the Coast. I am sure there are others that the ladies know about.
Trish - I think all the teeth have broken through they just need to grow now. He's pretty guarded with his mouth so we only get glimpses every now and then.
Nothing much happening here. L has been down for his afternoon sleep for 3 hours. Keep checking on him to see if he's ok. Only problem now is that when he wakes he'll probably want to stay up later as he's not tired. Thinking I might take him to a park and let him run wild and wear himself (and me) out.
In the meantime I have done around 2 hours ironing. Its pretty hot up here today too (even hotter standing over an iron!). Anyway, DH and I both have clothes for the week and I can take down the ironing board which has had permanent place in the kitchen for the last few weeks.

Trish - great pics! Unfortunately Tahlia doesnt look quite so pretty today... we went out for dinner last night and she was bending over to show someone her 'pretties' (shoes in Tahlia language) and she faceplanted on the concrete, so now she has a grazed nose and forehead, poor little chicken
